‘The Price Is Right’ Contestant Grabs Drew Carey by the Neck & Invites Him on Trip She Won

The Price Is Right contestant asked host Drew Carey if he wanted to come with her on the trip she just won on the game show. This all happened as she grabbed him around the neck and practically dragged him down to the floor.

Toya won the fifth item up for bid. She bid $1,101 on Saint Laurent tennis gear which included two racquets, three balls, and a ball machine. The actual retail price was $1,875. Since she was the highest by one dollar, Toya won the bid and got to play Bonus Game.

The way Bonus Game works is a contestant plays for five prizes. Four of them are small prizes and the fifth is a big prize. In Toya’s case, her big prize was a trip to Seychelles, Africa. The Price Is Right contestant is shown each of the four small prizes one at a time with the wrong price. They must determine whether the real price is higher or lower than the price shown. If they are correct, they win that prize and the window on the board next to them is slid over. Out of the correct prices, one of the windows has to say “Bonus” under it in order for them to win the bonus prize.

Toya’s prizes were a jump starter, a purifying straw, a charcuterie board, and a panini maker. She was right on all of them, so she automatically won the trip.

When she won, Toya threw up her hands and cheered. Carey stuck out his hand for her to shake, but she walked up to him and wrapped her arms around his neck instead. She practically pulled him down to the ground and they almost tripped. The host looked shocked, but he put an arm around her anyway.

“Do you want to go with me?!” she asked before pulling away from the hug.

    “Congratulations!” Drew Carey chuckled.

Toya continued to celebrate and Carey eventually got a handshake out of her. She spun a 120 on the Showcase Showdown wheel, so she did not advance to the Showcase.

Original Roseanne star Michael Fishman has responded after fans noticed his absence from The Conners series finale.

Fishman, who portrayed D.J. Conner from childhood through the show’s spinoff, was neither seen nor mentioned in the final episode, which aired on ABC.

Following the broadcast, Fishman, 43, addressed the situation via an Instagram video, explaining that many fans had reached out for his reaction. “People seem to want there to be some kind of conflict or controversy,” Fishman said. “All I’ve ever had was empathy and understanding.” He emphasized his gratitude for the show’s legacy and its loyal audience.

Fishman credited Roseanne creator Roseanne Barr for the franchise’s success and said he was honored to have been part of it. He added, “I prefer to be a lighthouse in the dark,” expressing his wish to offer comfort rather than criticism.

Fishman first joined Roseanne at age six and remained a part of the franchise until his character was written off in Season 4 of The Conners, explained by D.J. joining his wife overseas. At the time, he issued a positive public statement, expressing love and appreciation for the opportunity.

According to showrunner Bruce Helford, the decision not to include D.J. in the finale was due to the shortened season and a focus on completing storylines for remaining characters, rather than bringing back characters without a significant narrative arc.

As impossible a concept as it may have once seemed, the Conner family won’t be popping up again as an upcoming 2025 TV show for Season 8, with audiences bidding farewell to the all-time great sitcom clan after its emotionally on-brand series finale. “The Truck Stops Here” actually provided a literal farewell to audiences, which wasn’t only a surprise to those watching at home, but also for those seeing it play out behind the cameras.

Time will tell how The Conners’ conclusion will ultimately stack up against those of 2025’s other canceled and ending shows, but as someone who grew up on Roseanne and was a parent by the time the revival and The Conners came into existence, it was a successfully bittersweet affair. From the disappointment of the non-impactful $700 payout to the messages delivered at Roseanne’s grave, the final hurrah was both authentic to their middle-class legacy and ability to find humor in dark moments.

No such darkness came in the series-capping scene, despite all of the genuine tears shed by the cast when making their characters’ final exists. Those on-camera reactions weren’t planned ahead of time, and executive producers Bruce Helford and Dave Caplan also revealed Goodman’s reality-breaking “Good night” to the camera also wasn’t written into the episode. As the showrunning Helford told The Wrap:

    Latest Videos From Cinemablend

It was a surprise to us. We did not know they were going to get there emotionally. I don’t think I’ve ever seen that in a sitcom, or maybe even a drama, where the actors show the real emotions they are having. It was so touching and so real that we decided to leave [it in]. Dan saying goodbye to the audience, that was all John and it was wonderful.

Considering how many past Conners (and Roseanne) episodes also wrapped up inside the family’s instantly recognizable living room, spending the last few moments with Dan, Becky, Darlene, Jackie and the extended fam was the just-right choice. And it no doubt made for a more visceral experience for the cast as they exited a stage set that became a home away from home.

Dan teary-eyed and smiling after telling audience good nigth in final moments of The Conners series finale

Surely, Dan could have just stayed seated on the couch as the lights dimmed, or turned the TV on while grabbing a can of something sudsy. But John Goodman took it upon himself to share the final words of the series with the fans both in-studio and at home. Goodman copped to being “old and resistant” to change when talking about saying goodbye to Dan Conner, and you can really feel how much he’s holding back the waterworks in the moment.

Dave Caplan said it was “a surprise to us” that the cast’s emotions were so readily on display during a moment in the family members’ lives that wouldn’t necessarily call for tears to fall. To that end, he addressed why the creative team chose not to give the family a more dramatic or otherwise over-the-top ending, saying:

We worked pretty hard to avoid end of series cliches. There are traps that are easy to fall into, and we felt like out audience needed a more realistic version of where these characters would land at the end of the series, but still have a sense that they would go on with their lives.

Perhaps we’ll one day see one or more Conner family members back on the small screen for a follow-up sitcom in the future, and hopefully before nearly two decades pass if it happens. But for now, fans can watch all seven seasons of The Conners with a Hulu subscription.

An Iconic Piece of ‘The Conners’ History is Up For Grabs

When The Conners ended its seven-season run on ABC, fans said goodbye to the cast, the characters, and, yes, even the couch. The Conner clan’s iconic couch has been part of the story ever since the original series, Roseanne, made its debut in 1988.

Thirty-seven years later, the original brown plaid sofa and colorful afghan are up for bid via Juliens Auctions. The famous pieces will be part of a lot featured at the Broadcast to Binge auction, which takes place May 7–8 at Julien’s Studios in Los Angeles, CA. The event will be streamed for online bidders, starting at 10 a.m. PT. The famous sofa/afghan combo is expected to fetch upwards of $40,000.

The sofa that will be up for auction is the original piece that was featured in all 222 episodes of Roseanne, per the listing. It was originally purchased from a Sears store by the show’s production designer.

As for where it’s been all these years, the couch made a pitstop at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History and was later under the watch of Museum of TV curator James Comisar.

Comisar told TMZ that the sofa was long stored in a warehouse in L.A., and that he was contacted about it when the Roseanne revival came up in 2018. Because he had strict rules about the care of the piece due to worry that it could get damaged, the network created a replica for the reboot instead.

An Iconic Piece of 'The Conners' History is Up For Grabs

Executive producer Bruce Rasmussen revealed to The New York Post that while his team hoped to use the original couch for the revival, which would later spinoff into The Conners, the cost was too high.

“Somebody bought [the couch],” he said. “And the guy wanted like $2,000 for the couch. We said, ‘We can make it for like $75.’ So, we remade the exact couch … we didn’t buy the couch from the guy.”

The 2018 reboot opened with a shot of the plaid couch, and The Conners spinoff ended with a long last look at it as patriarch Dan Conner (John Goodman) bid viewers a goodnight.

Showrunner Bruce Helford said the shots of the lone couch were “always intentional.”

“That couch is so iconic, and to me, it represents the couch the audience sits on to watch the show. It’s like, ‘Our couch is your couch,’” he explained to TVLine.

‘Roseanne’ Star Issues Statement After Being Left Out of ‘The Conners’ Finale

Original Roseanne star Michael Fishman spoke out after the series finale of The Conners spinoff aired on ABC.

Fishman, who played youngest child D.J. Conner in both series, did not appear in the finale—and his character wasn’t even mentioned. Soon after the episode aired, he posted a video to social media to share his reaction to the end of the spinoff series.

Addressing fans in an Instagram reel, Fishman, 43, said he has been “inundated with people looking for [his] reaction” to The Conners finale.

“People seem to want there to be some kind of conflict or controversy, especially on my part,” the actor said. “And the reality is, all I’ve ever had was empathy and understanding. For all the people on set and all of our audience that’s grieving, I prefer to be a lighthouse in the dark.”

Fishman credited the legacy of the sitcom franchise to Roseanne Barr, who parted ways with the revival series amid a 2018 Twitter scandal. “I have only gratitude,” he added of his experience on the show. “And I believe the legacy belongs to you in the audience.”

The actor also said he continues to shine a light on The Conners. “And it’s been my honor because I believe it’s been a comfort to so many people,” he said.

Fishman captioned his post with, “Thankful for the Gift of Grief, that it happened, that I got to share the experience, forever changed by it. To everyone who built our shows and all those who empowered it. #Legacy #Community #Love #Family #Roseanne.”

He also responded to a commenter who questioned, “They fire you and your name wasn’t even mentioned in the finale. What’s up with that?”

“Creative choice. I move forward,” Fishman positively replied.

Fishman made his debut as D.J. Conner at just six years old on the original Roseanne series. The show aired for nine seasons, from 1988 to 1997, and he returned as the character for the reboot in 2018.

Fishman also joined The Conners spinoff in 2018, but after four seasons, he was let go from the series with the explanation that his military veteran character went to join his wife overseas.

At the time, he issued a positive statement to People magazine. “It has been my honor to play D.J. Conner,” Fishman said in 2022. “While I was told I would not be returning for Season 5, Lanford was a valuable place to grow up, learn, and develop. I was incredibly lucky to return home and demonstrate my expansion. As I venture into the world to build the future, I send tremendous love and success to everyone involved in production.”

As for why Fishman wasn’t brought back for The Conners series finale, it all came down to the final season being just six episodes, with a lot to wrap up with all of the other characters.

“Honestly, once you see the arcs [you will understand],” showrunner Bruce Helford told TVLine in March. “What we never want to do is just bring somebody in just to see that person on the show. We want everyone to have something important to play.”

Former ‘SNL’ Host Shocks ‘The View’ With Her Story About An Audience Member’s Bold Question

    'The View'

    ‘The View’

Roseanne star Sara Gilbert was only 18 years old when she hosted Saturday Night Live — and the actress recently had a “full-circle” experience when she returned to Studio 8H for a taping with her daughter.

Gilbert appeared on this morning’s episode of The View, during which co-host Sara Haines asked what she remembered from her time hosting the sketch comedy series. Meanwhile, producers played a clip from a 1994 sketch starring Gilbert and Mike Myers.

“It was kind of amazing because I was a college freshman,” Gilbert said. “It was a cool thing to be like, to your roommates, ‘Hey, do you guys want to come to SNL?’ I’m so lucky that that happened.”

The Conners star, who has received two Primetime Emmy Award nominations for her role as Darlene Conner, hosted Saturday Night Live when Myers, Chris Farley, Adam Sandler, David Spade and Rob Schneider were full-time cast members.

Despite getting to star alongside some of the SNL greats, not everyone was aware of Gilbert’s appearance on the show. The star learned as much when she recently went to a taping with her daughter during their trip to New York City.

“I’m taking one of my kids on a college tour while we’re here. We’re looking at different schools,” Gilbert began. “And she’s obsessed with SNL so it was her dream to go.”

“So we went and we watched in the audience and then one of the people in the audience next to me turned to me and said, ‘Have you ever been to a taping?’” she continued. “So I just said, ‘Yeah, I think so. A long time ago.’”

It sounds like someone needs to brush up on their SNL knowledge!

Will ‘Reba’ Have A Reunion? Show Alum Steve Howey Is Ready

    Steve Howey/YouTube

Will Reba ever have a show reunion? If Steve Howey has his way, he would gladly jump on for a reboot if that was an option. The Shameless alum opened up about getting the gang back together and he was definitely on board. Read on for more details.

Steve Howey Is Ready To Hop Back On The Reba Train

For six seasons, Steve Howey played Van Montgomery on Reba. He was Reba’s son-in-law who started out as her daughter, Cheyenne’s high school love. In the premiere of the series, it was revealed that Cheyenne and Van were expecting a baby though they were just teenagers. Throughout the run of the show, Steve had an impeccable ability to make fans laugh with his quirky antics. Yet, as the series progressed, he went from pro-football player to Reba’s real estate business partner.

According to an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Steve shared that he and his former TV mother-in-law have remained close. In fact, she has stayed close to many of her co-stars from the show. Melissa Peterman, who played BJ in the series, loves Reba McEntire, and the two even reunited for a Lifetime movie. So, what are the chances of a Reba reunion or a reboot since so many shows are coming back with new life? If it was an option, Steve Howey would be ready.
    Steve Howey/YouTube[Credit: YouTube]

“Yeah, I mean, I don’t even know because when I played Van on that show, I was in my early 20s. And to see where Van is now and where the family is, I mean I would do anything. Reba says, ‘Jump,’ and I’ll say, ‘How high?’” Howey shared. He loves Reba so much that he is going to see her perform on April 1st at the Hollywood Bowl. More so, he asked if he could have a mini-Reba reunion during the show. Sadly, McEntire was not about it.

    Desperate For More Van?

Steve Howey really wants to bring life back to Van Montgomery that he asked Reba if he could come on stage at the Hollywood Bowl. “I’m going. And I pitched a whole thing that she shot down. I was like, ‘Can I come out on stage and say, ‘Hey Mrs. H?’ And she was like, ‘Well, I gotta go change and then we come out and I sing ‘Survivor,’ and that’s when she’s like, ‘We don’t have time. I don’t have time.’ And I was like, ‘Alright, just kick down my dreams,’” Howey explained. Moreover, this would have been fun to see for fans of the show. However, maybe by putting this idea in her head, Reba will reconsider and bring the show back, at least for a few episodes.

Would you like to see Steve Howey and Reba reunite? Finally, were you a fan of the show during its original run? Let us know in the comments below.

Happy’s Place EP: Steve Howey Nearly Played Gabby’s Sperm Donor — Here’s Why That Idea Got Tossed

When TVLine exclusively reported in October that Steve Howey would join his old pals from Reba on NBC‘s Happy’s Place, the plan was for him to play an integral part in Melissa Peterman’s storyline.

'Reba' Reunion on 'Happy's Place' - Reba McEntire, Melissa Peterman and Christopher Rich in Season 1, Episode 15

Happy's Place Reba McEntire and Melissa Peterman

“One of the arcs for Gabby is that she thinks she wants to have a baby… and the Steve Howey character becomes a potential sperm donor,” series co-creator (and former Reba EP) Kevin Abbott told us at the time. “We’re hoping that Steve’s character can come back,” but he ultimately appeared in just one episode that aired Dec. 6.

What’s more, he did not play a potential sperm donor. Instead, he played Danny, a wealthy business owner that Gabby met at a dog park and ultimately tried to convince to host his company’s Christmas party at Bobbie and Isabella’s tavern.

Reba Reunion on Happy's Place Didn't Go According to Plan — Here's WhyCasey Durkin/NBC
When I reconnected with Abbott over Zoom earlier this week to discuss the March 21 finale, I had to ask what happened. Did the sperm donor storyline ever actually exist — and if so, why was it scrapped?

“He was only available for a certain period of time, and then the network came in at last minute and said, ‘Hey, we want a Christmas episode,’” Abbott explained. “I had to change it because I said, OK, we’re not gonna have the kids tune in for the Christmas episode [and do a sperm donor storyline], so we changed that one. That was the only reason why. I did not lie to you! I might still figure out a way to circle back [to that in Season 2].”

Tim Allen’s Last Man Standing: Is a Reboot Coming in 2025?

The television landscape has undergone significant changes in recent years, with many beloved shows being canceled or put on hold. However, one question remains at the forefront of fans’ minds: what’s next for Tim Allen’s Last Man Standing? The popular sitcom, which aired from 2011 to 2021, was known for its witty humor and relatable characters. Despite its cancellation, there have been rumors of a potential reboot. In this article, we’ll delve into the world of Last Man Standing and explore the possibilities of a revival.

Tim Allen’s Last Man Standing was a staple of Fox’s Saturday night lineup, airing for nine seasons and accumulating a loyal fan base. The show revolved around Mike Baxter, a conservative outdoorsman, and his wife, Christy, as they navigated life in a small town. Along the way, they encountered a cast of colorful characters, including their daughter, Mandy, and her husband, Kyle. The show’s mix of humor and heart made it a standout in a crowded television landscape.

One of the main reasons for the show’s enduring popularity was its ability to tackle a wide range of topics, from politics to pop culture. The show’s writers were able to strike a delicate balance between humor and sensitivity, making it appealing to a broad audience. Additionally, Tim Allen’s return to television after a 12-year hiatus was a major draw, as fans eagerly anticipated his comeback.

So, what does the future hold for Last Man Standing? In recent years, there have been reports of a potential reboot, with some outlets suggesting that the show could return to Fox. However, others have hinted that a reboot may not be the best idea, citing concerns about the show’s tone and appeal.

    The State of the Show

In 2021, it was announced that Last Man Standing would not be returning to Fox, marking the end of an era for the beloved sitcom. However, since then, there have been whispers of a potential reboot, with some sources suggesting that the show could be revived in some form.

While a reboot is possible, it’s unclear whether the show would remain true to its original format or take a different approach. Some fans have expressed concerns that a reboot could alienate the show’s existing audience, while others have suggested that a new approach could attract a fresh wave of viewers.

    Tim Allen’s Availability

One key factor in any potential reboot would be Tim Allen’s availability. The actor has been busy with his own projects, including the ABC reboot of Home Improvement, which premiered in 2021. However, there has been no official word on whether Allen would be interested in revisiting the role of Mike Baxter.

Allen has spoken publicly about the cancellation of Last Man Standing, expressing his disappointment and frustration. However, he has also hinted that he would be open to revisiting the role in some capacity. Whether this would involve a full-fledged reboot or a limited series remains to be seen.

    The Impact of Streaming Services

The rise of streaming services has dramatically changed the television landscape, with many shows finding new life in digital platforms. However, this has also led to concerns about the impact on traditional networks like Fox.

In recent years, Fox has struggled to compete with the likes of Netflix and Hulu, which have attracted massive audiences and generated significant revenue. As a result, the network has been forced to cancel or put on hold a number of popular shows, including Last Man Standing.

    Potential Cast Members

Any potential reboot of Last Man Standing would likely involve a number of familiar faces, including Tim Allen and Nancy Travis, who played the roles of Mike and Christy Baxter. However, the show’s future is uncertain, and it’s unclear whether other original cast members would be willing to return.

In recent years, there have been reports of interest from other actors, including Rob Riggle and Alexandra Krosney, who played the roles of Kyle and Mandy Baxter. However, these rumors have yet to be confirmed, and it’s unclear whether any of these actors would be willing to join a reboot.

    What Fans Want

Last Man Standing fans have been vocal about their desire for a reboot, with many taking to social media to express their disappointment at the show’s cancellation. However, there are also concerns about the show’s tone and appeal, with some fans worried that a reboot could alienate the show’s existing audience.

One thing is clear, however: fans want to see more of Mike Baxter and his family. Whether this would involve a full-fledged reboot or a limited series remains to be seen. One thing is certain, however: Tim Allen’s Last Man Standing will always hold a special place in the hearts of fans.

    The Future of Comedy

Last Man Standing was always a comedy at its core, with a focus on humor and wit. However, the show’s cancellation has left a void in the television landscape, with many fans struggling to find a new show to fill the void.

In recent years, there has been a resurgence of interest in comedy, with many new shows and series debuting to critical acclaim. However, it’s unclear whether these shows would appeal to the same audience as Last Man Standing.

    Alternative Options

For fans of Last Man Standing, there are a number of alternative options available. One of the most popular alternatives is the CBS sitcom Blue Collar TV, which aired from 2004 to 2006. The show, which starred Rob Riggle and Jeff Allen, followed the lives of two blue-collar workers and their families.

Another option is the ABC sitcom The Middle, which aired from 2009 to 2018. The show, which starred Patricia Heaton and Neil Flynn, followed the lives of a middle-class family living in the fictional town of Orson, Indiana.

Fox News hosts Sean Hannity and Ainsley Earhardt are engaged.

After years of quietly dating long distance, Hannity, 62, proposed to Earhardt, 48, over Christmas week at a church in his home state of Florida.

“We are overjoyed and so thankful to our families for all of their love and support during this wonderful time in our lives,” the pair told Fox News.

The two added that they had the blessing and support from their children, who “couldn’t be happier.”

Hannity shares two children, Patrick and Merri, with ex-wife Jill Rhodes, whom he wed in 1993 and divorced from in 2019.

Meanwhile, Earhardt has a daughter, Hayden, with ex-husband Will Proctor. The former couple got married in 2012, announced their separation in 2018 and finalized their divorce in 2019. Earhardt, who is based in New York, was also previously married to Kevin McKinney from 2005 to 2009.

The couple told Fox News that they “still get along well” with their ex-spouses and that they “made them aware this was happening ahead of time.”

Hannity and Earhardt said they bonded over their shared religious beliefs, and described the church as “the perfect place” to propose, according to the outlet. They met with their minister shortly after the engagement.

Back in June 2020, a source in Hannity and Earhardt’s circle told PEOPLE that they had been “been seeing each other very secretively for years,” despite the pair publicly denying so.

“He’s very private because he’s very famous and he’s very controversial,” the source said at the time, “but it’s been an open secret that they have been seeing each other.”

“They’re together all the time, but in private … for years, not just months,” the source continued.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Earhardt hosted her Fox & Friends program from a studio in the basement of Hannity’s Long Island mansion.

In October 2019, Earhardt told PEOPLE she was ready to date again and open to having more kids.

“I would love to find love again and I want to demonstrate a loving relationship for Hayden one day,” she said. “But I’m not sure when that will be. I know that God will put the right man in my life if that’s his will and he’ll do it in his time.”
