Antics of contestants on “The Price is Right” are one of the things that make the show entertaining and relatable, but sometimes their joy can be too much for the host and audience alike. In a rare moment on the show, another person from the audience came down to celebrate with the contestant and they both collapsed to the floor together in front of model Alexis Gaube, who seemed helpless and baffled.

The contestant in question was a woman named Alexandria and she had made it to the final round of the show, which was Showcase Showdown. Her opponent was bidding for a trip to the Seychelles and a car, and the price she guessed was $5,793 less than the actual value of both prizes. This gave Alexandria a chance to seal the deal if she could guess the price of a hot tub and the trip.

But unlike a lot of other contestants, she had help. Her mother was in the studio and she was determined to help her daughter out. With her guidance, Alexandria guessed $22,500 as the price of both the trip and the hot tub, and that was only $164 away from the actual price of both prizes.

The rules of the game state that if a contestant guesses an amount within $250 of the actual price of the items, they win both showcases, including the car.

Alexandria rushed over to the location of the car and her mother also made her way onto the stage and hugged her. In their excitement, they fell to the floor while the rest of the people on stage didn’t know what to do as per TV Shows Ace.

“The Price is Right” audience has always been quite helpful to the competitors for decades now. Even when Bob Barker was the host, the people behind the camera never shied away from helping a contestant win big. A contestant named Brenda experienced this nature of the audience as well.

She was playing the Any Number game to win the prize. In this game, there are three rows. The first row had four digits that represented the price of the car. The second row had three digits that represented the price of the teddy bears.

The third row also had three digits that represented a certain amount of cash in a piggy bank. The numbers available were 0 to 9 and no digit repeated itself.

The contestant had to guess a number that appeared in its corresponding box.

The first object with its price revealed was to be awarded to the player. Before guessing every single digit, Brenda turned to the audience for help.

It took some time and the situation turned tense, but she ultimately revealed the price of the car first thanks to the people in the studio and got what she had wanted the most..

Where Is Marc Summers Now? What the “Unwrapped” and “Double Dare” Host Is Up To

He’s traded TV hosting for podcasting.

still from a Nickelodeon episode of Double Dare, featuring Marc Summers as the host

For 25 years, Marc Summers was a mainstay in American television. Viewers across the country couldn’t turn on their TVs without coming face-to-face with the celebrity host, whether it was on Nickelodeon or the Food Network. His big break came in 1986 when he was tapped to host a game show called Double Dare on Nickelodeon—you may remember green slime becoming a main character in and of itself. However, Double Dare ended in 1993, and Summers eventually went on to host Food Network’s Unwrapped. The series, which aired from 2001 to 2011, took fans behind the scenes of their favorite American food brands, like Nestle and Cheetos. So, where is Summers now? Keep reading to find out.

    Summers started a podcast.

Summers has officially joined the podcast world. In February 2023, he launched the Marcs Summers Unwraps podcast, in which he sits down with actors, Broadway stars, comedians, chefs, and TV personalities and “unwraps” their life stories. Some of his guests have included Anthony Ramos, Guy FieriAl Roker, Howie Mandel, and Tom Bergeron.

    He wrote a one-man play.

Earlier this year, the 72-year-old wrote and produced his own one-man play, aptly titled The Life and Slimes of Marc Summers, which he’s performing in New York City. In a CBS Mornings interview, Summers said the play recounts his decades-long career in TV and his battle with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD).

“I get choked up about it, because…I didn’t think this could ever happen at this point in my life,” said Summers. “I was pretty much out of the business. You know—the Nickelodeon thing, you know, ran its course. And I was at Food Network for 20 years. And that ran its course. And here was this opportunity. And what it’s turned into has just been mind-boggling.”

He described this new life chapter as a “dream.”

He’s making his Hallmark movie debut.

ShutterstockSummers is adding “Hallmark movie star” to his resume. He portrays the role of a dotting Jewish grandfather in Hanukkah on the Rocks, which is set to premiere on Dec. 13, 2024, on the Hallmark Channel. The Jewish holiday film is part of Hallmark’s iconic holiday movie lineup.

An official movie description from TV Insider says: “A week before Hanukkah, recently unemployed lawyer Tory embarks on a journey to find Hanukkah candles, leading her to a Chicago bar where she transforms the holiday spirit, discovers love, and finds the courage to pursue a new path in life.”

    Summers loves connecting with fans.

He’s considered the “TV father” of the ‘90s.

While it’s been years since he graced Food Network or Nickelodeon, fans still gather on social media to recall their favorite Marc Summers memories and behind-the-scenes tidbits. In one Reddit thread, a fan referred to Summers as “our TV father,” while another user said his “voice is like a hug!”

“Yeah if I was scrolling the channels and this was on I was dropping whatever I was doing and watching it. First double dare, then unwrapped. Marc Summers is the man,” wrote another user.

Jack Shannon was picked on the April 29 episode.

After putting in his bid on a DSLR camera, he guessed the closest amount and was picked for the next showcase.

Before beginning the round, Drew, 65, greeted Jack and told viewers that he was there with his father.

“Jack and his father making a living, it’s a family business where they make labels for like wine bottles, beer, paint can, anything you want,” Drew said.

“What’s the weirdest thing you’ve had to make a label for?”

Jack thought about it and came up with octagon bottles.

“Oh wow. What an exciting life Jack leads,” Drew joked, stepping closer to the camera.

Jack laughed nervously and Drew joined in on his laughter.

“Still talking about those octagon bottles,” the host laughed.

They then moved on to the prizes he could get if he won the game.

Jack’s dad, Richard, posted a photo of them waiting to see if they got picked on Reddit.

He told the platform users that Drew came over and shook both of their hands.

Richard said that Drew remembered about his business since his wife had won the day before.

Drew then turned to Jack and asked if he worked for his dad and about going to college.

    ‘NOT FUNNY!’

While most fans expressed their excitement and congratulated Jack for getting on the show, others pointed out that Drew comment was not funny.

“Didn’t like Drew asking what the strangest thing labeled and then laughing at him saying ‘still talking about those octagon bottles,’” one fan said.

“He asked & then laughs & pokes fun about an exciting life. Not nice and not funny!”

“He’s a young guy following his father’s business. Still rude & not funny,” another fan agreed.

“I didn’t like that either. I happened to be just tuning into the show right at that moment, so I did not hear the context. But it was not nice for Drew to poke fun at the young man like that. A joke at a contestant’s expense is never okay,” a third chimed in.

However, other fans defended Drew by saying that he was poking fun at his job and not him.

Vanna White Called Out Pat Sajak For Making A Mistake On Wheel Of Fortune

Vanna White Called Out Pat Sajak For Making A Mistake On Wheel Of Fortune

    Summary

Ryan Seacrest is set to replace Pat Sajak as the host of Wheel of Fortune in September 2024 for a substantial amount of money.
Sajak’s tenure as host has led to many memorable moments on the show, including epic mess-ups and heartwarming wins.
Sajak made an epic mistake in 2021 when he unintentionally gave away the answer to the final puzzle, leading to Vanna White calling him out for his blunder.

In September 2024, Ryan Seacrest is set to replace Pat Sajak as the host of The Wheel of Fortune reportedly for a lot of money. When Seacrest takes over that job, he is going to have a lot to live up to even though Sajak reportedly isn’t worth as much money as his long-time co-host Vanna White.

The reason why Seacrest is going to have a difficult job is that Sajak has hosted Wheel of Fortune for decades. As a result, Sajak is inexorably linked to Wheel of Fortune’s most controversial moments and its most entertaining clips. A perfect example of an entertaining Wheel of Fortune clip is the time that Sajak epically messed up, and his mistake was pointed out by White.

What Are Wheel Of Fortune’s Most Memorable Moments?

Now that Wheel of Fortune has been on the air for decades, many incredible things have happened. Whether Wheel of Fortune’s most surprising clips were hilarious, heartbreaking, or some combination of both, many of the show’s moments have stuck with fans.

The Truth About Vanna White's Relationship With Pat Sajak's Daughter Before Her Temporary Replacement On Wheel of Fortune

In October 2008, a perfect example of a heartwarming and truly memorable Wheel of Fortune moment took place. At that time, a contestant named Michelle Loewenstein landed on the million-dollar spot, guessed right, and became the first person in the show’s history to win seven figures.

Two years later, a Wheel of Fortune contestant did something that completely astonished viewers. With a seven-word puzzle on the board, Caitlin Burke guessed L, had one letter revealed, and then she solved “I’ve Got a Good Feeling About This”.

On the other hand, there have been times when contestant’s attempts to solve were so outlandish that the clips went viral. For example, one contestant tried to solve a portrait as self potato. Another contestant named Joe guessed a group of pill pushers to solve a puzzle which inspired Pat Sajak to exclaim “This is Wheel of Fortune Joe!”.

At that moment, Sajak almost certainly wouldn’t have guessed that he would make an epic Wheel of Fortune mistake himself.

Pat Sajak Made A Mistake On Wheel Of Fortune And Vanna White Called Him Out

In 1982, a then mostly unknown Pat Sajak took over hosting Wheel of Fortune from the show’s original host, Chuck Woolery. Since then, Sajak has become so synonymous with the game show that most fans have no idea that anyone else ever hosted Wheel of Fortune.

Pat Sajak smiling and standing outside Craig's Restaurant

Since Sajak has now been hosting Wheel of Fortune for decades, he has seen thousands of contestants solve puzzles that reference all kinds of regular phrases. With that in mind, you’d certainly think that Sajak would know better than to say phrases on the show that could give away a puzzle.

In 2021 Sajak was hosting Wheel of Fortune when he made the kind of mistake that must have made the show’s producers shocked.

Vanna White and Pat Sajak on Wheel of Fortune

During every episode of Wheel of Fortune, that day’s winner attempts to solve a final puzzle by themselves for a grand prize. During that process, the contestant gets to throw out a series of letters in hopes that most of the final puzzle will be revealed.

In 2021, a Wheel of Fortune contestant was trying to solve the final puzzle which was two words. The first word was five letters and the contestant had only revealed the final two letters which were T and E. The second word was seven letters and the contestant had revealed four of them which were R, A, N, and L.

Clearly, Sajak didn’t think that things were looking very good for the contestant since the host initially responded to the situation by remarking “Yikes”. As longtime Wheel of Fortune fans will already know, however, final puzzles have been solved with a lot fewer letters revealed. On top of that, trying to solve a puzzle that looks like —TE -RAN-L- doesn’t seem too difficult for many of the show’s devoted fans.

Pat Sajak, Vanna White, and Maggie Sajak on the set of Wheel of Fortune

Perhaps Sajak wanted to break the tension at that moment. Failing that, Sajak may have just been in host mode which made him want to say something to make viewers chuckle at that moment.

No matter what was going through Sajak’s mind at the time, the fact is that what he said next to the contestant was amazing. “Well, I’d rather be standing here than there, quite frankly.” After Sajak said those words, the contestant failed to solve the puzzle and most people likely didn’t initially give the host’s remarks another thought.

Vanna White Called Out Pat Sajak For Making A Mistake On Wheel Of Fortune

At the end of each Wheel of Fortune episode, the show’s co-hosts come together to have some banter and bid farewell to viewers. It was at that moment that a clearly astonished Vanna White called out Sajak for what he’d done.

After the contestant failed to solve the final puzzle, it was revealed that the words he was looking for were “quite frankly”. Since Sajak said the words quite frankly to the contestant just before he got the opportunity to solve, that meant the host gave the contestant the correct answer but they didn’t realize.

Once the co-hosts came together for their typical banter, White asked Sajak, “Did you hear what you said?”. In response, Sajak admitted that he quickly realized what he’d done once the words came out of his mouth.

Vanna White and Pat Sajak laughing on Wheel Of Fortune

“I did right after I said it. I wonder how many people at home caught it.” In a truly hilarious moment, Sajak then went on to point out the mistake he made while talking to the contestant. At that moment, many members of the studio audience reacted to the news that Sajak gave away the answer with surprise.

Sajak then went on to make fun of himself by remarking on contestants not paying attention to him.

“It goes to show you that people are concentrating, and they’re not paying any attention to me.”

First, we had to deal with Kevin (Fred Savage) and Winnie (Danica McKellar) from The Wonder Years not making it to the finish line. But then another fan favorite duo split – yep, we’re talking about Pat Sajak and Vanna White. The couple’s last appearance on the daily syndicated version of Wheel of Fortune aired in June 2024.

Now, Vanna works with the show’s new host, Ryan Seacrest. The American Idol emcee coming in to host the game show after Sajak’s lengthy run was a big adjustment not only for viewers but for White, too. She compliments how Seacrest handled the transition.

“Ryan did his homework,” White tells TV Insider. “He rehearsed and rehearsed and rehearsed. He also said to me, ‘I am not replacing Pat Sajak because no one could – ever. I am just stepping in.’ That made me feel good because, as Ryan said, he’s just stepping in – he’s not trying to prove anything.”

However, fans who miss Sajak and White’s dynamic have something to celebrate! The two will be reunited on Celebrity Wheel of Fortune later this month. Stars appearing on Celebrity Wheel of Fortune include Joe Manganiello, Tiffany Haddish, and Matt Walsh. This won’t be the first time Sajak and White have connected as the two have remained in regular touch since he left the long-running game show.

“It was sad for me in a way because [at the time] I didn’t know what the future held,” White shared about the couple’s last taping day together when we caught up with her at the “Hulu Gets Real” event in Beverly Hills this week. “It was ending an unbelievable era!”

When the couple reunites either as pals or work colleagues, White says that it’s like no time at all has passed.  “It’s like slipping into something very comfortable,” White shares when she and Pat get back together. “I mean that in the best possible way. It’s just comfortable.

‘The Price Is Right’ Fans Roast Drew Carey For Live Blunder

The Price Is Right: Drew Carey

The Price Is Right fans recently blasted host Drew Carey for an on-air blunder. So, what happened during the show that had fans up in arms?

The Price Is Right Has A Long Tradition

Like other iconic game shows such as Family FeudThe Price Is Right has a long tradition of entertaining families for generations. Bob Barker held it down for years before finally stepping down in 2007. Since then, Drew Carey took over as the host of the iconic show.

As longtime fans know, The Price Is Right is all about guessing the price of big-ticket items. The closer a contestant gets to guessing the actual price of something, the more they win. Many game shows come and go. However, The Price Is Right is one of those shows that manages to stand the test of time. All these years later, viewers continue to tune in.

Drew Carey Has On-Air Hosting Blunder

One classic element from The Price Is Right is contestants spinning the big wheel for a chance at a cash prize. Mid-spin, Drew Carey asked a contestant to give a shout-out to her family. As she was talking, the wheel landed her in the money.

The way fans see it, this was a huge blunder from Drew Carey. Asking the contestant to give a shout-out mid-spin takes away from the excitement of the entire game.

The good news is, this contestant had the golden touch when it came to the wheel. She was given a second opportunity to spin the wheel to add to her money total. She landed in the money a second time, walking away from that round alone with a grand total of $11k.

The Price Is Right shared this segment on their official Instagram page. Even though it was a winning moment for the wheel-spinner with the golden touch, many fans took to the comments to roast Drew Carey for his hosting blunder.

One commenter said: “Can we stop with the ‘say hi’ and build up the excitement with the contestant as a good amount approaches? It’s so lackluster.”
Another commenter chimed in, adding: “Drew Carey really needs to stop asking contestants DO YOU WANT TO SAY HI in the Showcase Showdown (aka the big wheel). Has anyone ever said NO before??”
Another The Price Is Right fan agreed, saying: “right especially when they go on for five minutes. It’s kind of stupid. And cringy!”

In recent The Price Is Right segments, a player on the show came down in what appeared to be a t-shirt with some writing on it. At first, it’s something that many might not have noticed. However, as quick to the punch as Drew Carey is, nothing got by him.

It didn’t take long for people to realize that this man’s shirt was grammatically incorrect, especially after Drew Carey took the time to point it out. The contestant’s shirt read: “NOT NO ONE NOT LIKE NO PLINKO.”

In the trademark tongue-in-cheek manner that Drew Carey is known for, he told the player: “I like your shirt.” Unfortunately, Carey informed the man that he would not, in fact, be playing a game of Plinko this time around.

Even the announcer, George, took the opportunity to make fun of the man’s shirt, using the wording to say: “Not no one not like…a brand new SUV!”

It turns out, The Price Is Right host took shots at even more than this man’s wardrobe. After bringing attention to the shirt in question, Drew Carey asked this contestant where he was from. When the player said an emphatic “Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania,” the host joked, saying: “I was gonna say…”

Longtime fans of Drew Carey know he is no stranger to jabbing contestants and poking fun at them for a laugh. He even revealed recently that some players show up to the stage drunk or high. Ever the professional, with decades in the entertainment industry, Carey knows when to push and when to fall back, in order to get the best reactions out of people.

In this case, Drew Carey making fun of the grammatical inaccuracies on this player’s shirt was a fun way to amuse fans, and get a laugh in the process.

Why Kaitlyn Dever’s Eve Baxter Left Last Man Standing

Tim Allen as Mike Baxter and Kaitlyn Dever as Eve Baxter in Last Man StandingABC

2011 was a huge year for Kaitlyn Dever. Though she was only 14 at the time, the up-and-coming actor booked small parts in two high profile movies (“Bad Teacher” and Clint Eastwood’s “J. Edgar”), popped as tough Kentucky cookie Loretta McCready in the magnificent second season of “Justified,” and joined the main cast of Tim Allen’s new sitcom “Last Man Standing.” That’s quite a range of shows and films, and this ensured Dever would get to flaunt her burgeoning talent all the way across the demographic spectrum.

For families with young viewers, “Last Man Standing” was the kind of relentlessly inoffensive sitcom they could watch together without worrying there’d be a ribald gag or profanity. Say what you will about Allen (and I’m quite certain the cocaine dealers he snitched on in 1978 to avoid serving a length prison sentence have said plenty about him), he knows what his audience expects from him, and, as we know from the legitimately great work he’s done (“Galaxy Quest” and the “Toy Story” movies), the man knows his way around a joke. He possesses an amiable presence and ace comedic timing.

Dever does, too, so it’s hardly surprising to learn that the veteran Allen quickly identified her talent and took her under his wing over six seasons while she played his youngest daughter on “Last Man Standing.” If you’ve watched this show, you know this warmth extends to their characters. Allen’s Mike Baxter is a manly dude who, of his three daughters, obviously likes Dever’s tomboy Eve the best. So why did Dever leave the show after season 6?

When Last Man Standing was briefly cancelled, Kaitlyn Dever found work elsewhere

At the close of its sixth season, “Last Man Standing” was the second highest rated sitcom on ABC. The series was a cinch for renewal. So the entire television industry was left gasping when the network unceremoniously brought the axe down in 2017.

Some suspected this was a response to Allen going on “The Jimmy Kimmel Show” and comparing his plight as a Hollywood conservative at the outset of the first Trump administration to Germans who opposed the Nazis in 1930s Germany. Regardless of the rationale, the show was dead, which left its cast and crew scrambling to find new gigs.

The timing couldn’t have been better for Dever. She’d just entered her twenties and was set to showcase her considerable talents in projects that were a tad weightier or more clever than “Last Man Standing.” So she went out and booked roles in “The Front Runner” and “Beautiful Boy,” which wound up being a problem for Allen and company when Fox announced they were bringing back “Last Man Standing” for its seventh season.

It was too late at this juncture to get Dever back as a series regular. Allen understood, but he couldn’t help but get melancholy over the departure of the young talent he’d helped nurture. As Allen told Fox News in 2020:

“We had an episode … where we had to change Eve’s room and it reminded me of real life. You know, your kid’s not coming back. They’ll visit, they’re not going anywhere, but they’re not coming back to the bedroom they grew up in. It was a really hard one for me to do based on my oldest daughter when she left.”

Happily for Allen, Dever wasn’t gone for good. She became a recurring cast member, and made sure she was available for the emotional series finale. Showrunner Kevin Abbott wouldn’t have had it any other way. “Tim [Allen] and Kaitlyn have always had such a special relationship,” he told The Wrap in 2021. “Not that he didn’t have it with the rest of the crew and everything, but I think he felt very fatherly to Kaitlyn.”

Dever has since become one of the brightest lights of her generation via terrific performances in “Booksmart,” “Rosaline” and “No One Will Save You.” She will no doubt be reinforcing this perception over the next two months with her portrayal of Abby in “The Last of Us” season 2.

‘The Conners’ star John Goodman admits he’s ‘old and resistant to change’ as he struggles with show’s ending

John Goodman isn’t ready to say goodbye to one of his most iconic characters.

In a recent interview with People, the 72-year-old actor shared how he is coping with “The Conners” coming to an end and saying goodbye to Dan Conner, a character he began playing nearly 40 years ago.

“It’s really hard,” he told the outlet. “It’s something I’m going to miss for a while. I’m old and resistant to change.”

Goodman first started playing Dan Conner in 1988 on the hit show “Roseanne,” which ran for nine seasons before it aired its final episode in 1997. The series revolved around the blue-collar Connor family and was celebrated for its portrayal of the realities of the working class, which resonated with audiences.

“The Conners” star John Goodman says it will be hard to say goodbye to his character, Dan Conner.
More than 20 years after the original show came to an end, the entire cast returned for a reboot of the popular sitcom, also titled “Roseanne,” which lasted one season. Following controversial tweets made by its star, Roseanne Barr, the reboot was rebranded as a new show, “The Conners,” featuring all the same cast members except for Barr.

“It was so exciting when we got this together and it seems like it was two weeks ago,” said Goodman. “Showing up every day and just being here with everybody. It’s a great place to work.”

Much like the original show, Goodman believes the reboot resonated with viewers because it shines a spotlight on “a normal family that’s really been up against it,” which is something that “a lot of people in this country” who feel like they “have been up against it for a long time” can relate to.

The seventh and final season of “The Conners” is set to air its last episode on Wednesday, and although he is struggling to accept the show is over, Goodman said he will “be grateful for a long time” to ABC for allowing the series to have a proper finale.

Goodman is thankful that ABC gave “The Conners” the opportunity to write a proper finale.
During an appearance on the “Smartless” podcast in June 2024, the actor spoke about his career struggles and how he has grown more cautious when it comes to choosing roles after 50 years in the entertainment industry.

“It’s much different now. I feel like I’m still learning,” he said. “The last couple of years have been goofy for me because I’ve been trying to be good — and it doesn’t work that way. You know, like planning things way too much, and at the root of that was the fear of losing trust in myself.”

Goodman went on to say that he “overcompensated by working too much,” but after “practically having a nervous breakdown,” he learned the importance of being “relaxed when you do stuff.”

“You have to be ready to listen to yourself. You have to be relaxed. For me, that was the key,” he explained. “I already know this stuff, and that’s one thing I didn’t trust myself about.”

Goodman felt the pressure of not being on top of his career.
In addition to “The Conners” coming to an end, Goodman’s other successful show, “The Righteous Gemstones,” on which he plays Eli Gemstone, the leader of a megachurch, is also airing its last season, with the final episode set to air on HBO on May 4.

After 343 episodes, ten seasons of Roseanne, and seven seasons of The Conners spanning 37 years, the series signed off last night with an abbreviated final season of The Conners. I’ll admit I haven’t kept up with The Conners beyond a few check-ins after the early seasons, but I’ve seen enough to know that most of the show’s final couplings weren’t exactly surprises.

Only four members of the original cast remained by the end: John Goodman’s Dan Conner, Laurie Metcalf’s Jackie Harris, Sara Gilbert’s Darlene Conner, and Alicia “Lecy” Goranson’s Becky — who was famously replaced for several seasons during Roseanne by Sarah Chalke (who popped back up on The Conners in an entirely different role during the early run).

Still, Roseanne loomed large in the series finale — the character, played by Roseanne Barr, had died of an overdose after Barr was pushed out of the series for… being Roseanne Barr. In the final episode, Dan — now married to Louise (Katey Sagal) — attended a deposition with the drug company the family still blames for Roseanne’s death. He gave a passionate speech, then went home to await their response.

Meanwhile, Jackie — now with Neville (Nat Faxon) — completed the necessary training to rejoin the police force. Darlene, who’d been flirting with an emotional affair with a character played by Seth Green, broke it off and returned to her husband, Ben (Mad Men’s Jay R. Ferguson). And Becky is now with Tyler, played by Sean Astin.

Apparently, The Conners became a bit of a refuge for actors whose whereabouts you might’ve been wondering about. Worth noting: Jackie and Roseanne’s mom, Beverly (Estelle Parsons), was last seen in season six. Michael Fishman, the original D.J. from Roseanne, left the series in 2022 and didn’t return for the finale.

In the end, the drug company responded to Dan’s heartfelt speech, not with justice, but with a check. The family gathered at Roseanne’s grave to open it. Instead of a windfall, Dan found a check for $700 to cover “travel and other miscellaneous.” His response: “Well, I guess we know how much the life of a Conner is worth.”

From there, each character — including Becky’s daughter Harris (Shameless’s Emma Kenney) — shared a few words at the gravestone before returning to the Conner home. After some final jokes, one by one, they left. Laurie Metcalf got choked up saying goodbye, and Sara Gilbert and Alicia Goranson were clearly holding back tears, as you’d expect from actors wrapping up a show that’s defined so much of their lives. John Goodman gave the last word, looking straight into the camera for a few seconds before saying: “Good night.” He walked away as a few clips from the original Roseanne rolled.

It was sweet, understated, and perfectly on brand.
