One of the tracks on the Cowboy Carter is a cover of Dolly Parton’s major hit “Jolene.” Beyoncé didn’t stay with the original lyrics, however. Dolly’s version begs Jolene not to take her man. Beyoncé’s version takes a more aggressive approach, practically daring Jolene to even try.

Beyoncé’s version opens with the verse, “Jolene, Jolene, Jolene, Jolene/I’m warning you, don’t come for my man.”

Some diehard Dolly Parton fans were offended that the R&B singer changed the lyrics. However, Joy Behar thought the new lyrics were actually better than the original. The co-host of ABC’s The View said, “I like the subject of Beyoncé taking over the lyrics,” on a podcast this week.

She added, “I just think that the original thing with Dolly Parton is so, like, anti-feminist, worrying about some good-looking woman taking your man.”

Here’s When Blake Shelton Will Return To ‘The Voice’

Blake Shelton will return to The Voice for the Season 25 finale this month.

The country megastar held the record for the most victories in the competition show’s history when he served as a coach until last year.

Shelton coached from the first season through Season 23. He’s appearing to celebrate the show’s 25th season after previously coaching alongside other powerhouse artists, including Kelly Clarkson, CeeLo Green, Niall Horan, Jennifer Hudson, Nick Jonas, Adam Levine and Gwen Stefani.

Shelton and Stefani met as coaches on the show in 2014, and confirmed their relationship the following year. They got married in July 2021. Current coaches include Reba McEntire — who joined the show following Shelton’s departure — Chance the Rapper, John Legend and first-time coaching duo Dan + Shay. McEntire and Stefani are set to return next season, along with Snoop Dogg and Michael Bublé.

“I’ve been wrestling with this for a while, and I’ve decided that it’s time for me to step away from The Voice after Season 23,” Shelton previously said as he announced his departure from the show.

He opted to take a step back to spend more time with his wife and stepsons. “This show has changed my life in every way for the better, and it will always feel like home to me. It’s been a hell of a ride over these 12 years of chair turns, and I want to thank everyone at The Voice from NBC, every producer, the writers, musicians, crew and catering people; you are the best.”

Shelton will return to The Voice for the Season 25 finale on Tuesday, May 21 at 9/8c on NBC and streaming next day on Peacock, according to NBC.

Stefani was in a similar state. Country singer Reba McEntire rushed to give them tissues for their tears.

“Lennon, I hope you realize that that’s the biggest compliment another artist could give you is just to sit there and cry because you touched John to his core,” McEntire told VanderDoes.

Horan agreed, adding, “These two crying says it all.”

The moving performance wasn’t enough to save VanderDoes, however. The singer was later sent home along with fellow contestant Julia Roomes after Horan instead chose Alexa Wildish as the winner.

This may not be the last we see of these contestants, however. This season, the judges will have the chance to bring back a disqualified contestant from any team, an unprecedented move for the show.

Snoop Dogg is appealing to a whole new generation thanks to his kid-positive tracks. ICYMI, the 53-year-old released a Kids Hits album along with Doggyland in 2022 and the main track “Affirmation Song” has become a favorite he’s learned of his fellow coach from The Voice, Michael Bublé.

The “Haven’t Met You Yet” crooner is the father of four kids including Vida, Noah, 11, Elias, 8, and Cielo, 2—who he shares with wife Luisana Lopilato—but it is Vida who has a special connection to Uncle Snoop.

“Michael Bublé came to set, and he was like, ‘My daughter loves your music, and they listen to it every day,’” Snoop, who is a grandfather of seven, recalled. “And I’m like, ‘You lying!’ We actually sung it together, and it just touched me. It was so adorable that this music that I’m making is really reaching the kids for the right reasons.”

Bublé, or as Snoop calls him “Booblee Wooblee,” has become a close personal friend of the rapper.

“I swear to God, man, me and him, it felt like we grew up together,” Snoop shared of the jazz singer, “Like we been lost and we found each other.”

Bublé echoed the sentiment when he hosted The Kelly Clarkson Show back on Oct. 1, admitting, “This gives me the opportunity to declared forever and ever that Snoop Dogg is my best friend forever and ever. I am sorry Martha [Stewart].”

The two artists are serving as coaches on The Voice together alongside Gwen Stefani and Reba McEntire.

Craig Melvin is honoring the memory of his late brother in a special way.

Back in 2020, the Today show host revealed his older brother, Lawrence Meadows, had passed away due to colon cancer. At the time, Craig expressed that for the past few years, Lawrence was raising awareness for the disease, and how Craig and his family would continue to do so in his honor.

And now, for National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month, Craig, who serves on the Colorectal Cancer Alliance’s board of directors, announced that he designed a 1/4 zip-up Today sweatshirt and matching socks with the foundation and NBC.

“Big announcement! 💙,” he wrote. “Last year, I was inspired to design and create a TODAY tie and sock set in honor of my brother, Lawrence, who passed away from colorectal cancer back in 2020. This year, I went the sportier route and designed a ¼ zip and sock set. With your help, we can raise greater awareness about the importance of preventive screening. On Friday morning (28 April), James Corden hosted the final episode of the his popular US talk show The Late Late Show.

The former Gavin & Stacey star announced earlier this year that he would be stepping down from the role in 2023.

In a new interview with The Times, Corden explained the reason for the decision, which he said was made in order to spend more time with his wife, Julia, and his three children.

“I have so many really beautiful memories of my childhood,” he said.

“Usually our holidays would be in a caravan, surrounded by concrete. But one summer we drove down to France in a camper van, listening to Paul Simon’s Graceland, and everything about that summer is so big in my head. That was why I quit The Late Late Show in the end.”

After Corden and his family had to cancel last year’s summer holiday due to scheduling clashes with his work, he made the decision to leave the long-running TV series.

“When I told [11-year-old son] Max [about cancelling the holiday], he looked so sad, yubi and I had this sudden revelation of the maths: we’ve only got six more summers with the kids, before they start wanting to go off with their mates. Six if we’re lucky.

“I knew I just couldn’t do that again. So that’s why I quit,” he added.

Following the series finale episode of the veteran daytime talk show, which concludes its 15 season run on Friday, December 20, encore episodes of the popular game show will take over the time slot beginning Monday, December 23. It’ll be the placeholder until the new daytime drama series, “Beyond the Gates,” premieres on Monday, February 24, 2025.

According to the network, the placement of encore episodes marks the only change to the daytime schedule, with its other shows, including original episodes of “The Price is Right,” remaining in their respective time slots.

New contestant Andrew Hayes from Tupelo, Mississippi came out on top over Mike and Courtney Martin from Cedarburg, Wisconsin, with a whopping $25,200 after completely dominating the April 9 game.

So after a three-game winning streak and $57,000, Mike’s reign came to an end.

Jeopardy! fans were disappointed by the charismatic 6′ 7″ star’s loss, but were even more sad to hear his current news.

“I had been working in tech-focused roles for international nonprofits in the aid and development sector for more than a decade, when just a few weeks before taping, my job and the jobs of thousands of my then-current and former colleagues all disappeared overnight with the elimination of USAID,” Mike said on Reddit.

“I’ll forgo getting into the politics of it all, despite the sudden loss of my career being inherently political, but I’m incredibly grateful to have my Jeopardy winnings to help carry me through this transitionary period.”

Viewers immediately commented with support for their new favorite player.

Jeopardy! fans don’t see everything behind the scenes from watching on TV. These hidden set features make the show run smoothly:

Each podium has a hidden riser so that all contestants appear to be the same height.
After each clue is read, signal lights go off around the game board, indicating players can buzz in and respond.
Buzz in too early, and you’re locked out for .25 seconds.
The podiums have a small white light in the lower left corner, which tells Ken Jennings who goes next.
Contrary to popular belief, the player with control doesn’t have a buzzer advantage on the next clue.
To the game board’s left is a scoreboard so the players can see their opponents’ scores.
All contestants must bring three outfits to the studio, but only the host and returning champion change for the next episode.

Contestants fill out a questionnaire, and producers select five Q&A topics for the host.
Host Ken isn’t allowed to interact with the contestants until after the game.

As The U.S. Sun exclusively reported, Jeopardy! has been winning the ratings game with longtime rival Wheel of Fortune.

For the week of March 3, Jeopardy! had 8,902,000 viewers watching the show, according to Nielsen.

Wheel of Fortune was in the number two spot with 8,477,000 viewers.

In September, Wheel of Fortune with brand-new host Ryan Seacrest was in the lead, with one million more viewers than Jeopardy!.
