The puzzle wall was revealed in an Inside Edition clip hosted by Maggie.

She caught up with Ryan, 49, and co-host Vanna White during an event at the Santa Monica piece in California.

During the segment, Inside Edition unveiled the new puzzle board for the first time.

The new puzzle board features some old details, which Maggie claimed was a tribute to her dad.

There is a flashy golden border around the puzzle board, as there was in the 1980s.

“It’s kind of an homage to the set of the 80s which is where people got introduced to the show. So I think there’s something really nostalgic but a lot of really modern, fresh elements,” she explained.

It has been widely reported that incoming host Ryan intends to bring an err of freshness and modernity to the show, which fans are split about.

ALL ABOUT THE WALL

Vanna, 67, showed off changes to the Wheel of Fortune puzzle board on Tuesday.

Good Morning America host Ginger Zee talked to Vanna and Ryan about their “sleek new set” during a segment for the morning show.

“I don’t even have to touch the letter anymore,” Vanna shared, pointing toward the digital board.

FEELING GOOD

Vanna and Ryan sat down with Ginger to talk about the upcoming season of the show.

Vanna said that Ryan is “already full of smiles” ahead of the premiere.

“It’s Wheel of Fortune, how can you not be happy?” he asked.

Vanna also said that the game show is “energetic, positive, and fun.”

“I’m so excited,” she added.

Ryan, for his part, said that taking over as host feels like an “out of body” experience for him.

“It is a very special thing that just doesn’t exist anywhere else,” he said of the game show.

In preparation for the new role, the American Idol host said that he has been catching up on old episodes of Wheel of Fortune with Vanna and Pat, 77, as the hosts.

He has also played a few mock games with fake contestants.

“Hopefully, it all pays off,” Ryan said.

MAJOR REFRESH

With Ryan is coming a new set, which the show has given small glimpses at in the lead up to the new season.

The set features bold colors, palm trees, and a massive wheel.

The set has a blue tint that the original set didn’t have.

Fans are split about the new look, with some claiming it was “cheap and tacky” looking.

Vanna also shared she loves how her children both have creative sides and she’s not opposed to letting her daughter give her some ink.

“You know what, I want to have matching hearts where she’ll do a little heart on me and she’ll do one on herself,” Vanna added to People.

“I feel like I need to do that because it’s her and it would be her on me.”

Vanna admitted that she “never dreamed” that her daughter – who graduated from NYU with an art degree – would become a tattoo artist.

“I said, ‘Gigi, why tattooing?” She goes, ‘Mom, my art is on someone’s body for the rest of their lives.’ I was like, ‘That’s pretty cool.’ You have to be so good and confident. You can’t mess up.

“So she absolutely loves it. She’s been doing that for the past three years and is doing a great job. I’m so, so proud of her,” she continued.

“They’re both artistic. Nico does artwork for fun. That’s his escape from the real world, his real life is in real estate, which is good for him. So he’s loving that as well.”

“From the time they were born, I wanted them to do whatever they wanted to do in life,” she shared.

Vanna has had a winning month as she extended her Wheel of Fortune contract until 2026 after months of tense negotiations.

Vanna will stay on for the first two years that Pat Sajak’s successor, Ryan Seacrest, hosts.

After Drew pointed out Karl’s shirt and told him he wasn’t going to play Plinko, he asked him where he was from.

This isn’t the first time this week that a contestant’s wardrobe was pointed out by Drew.

On Wednesday’s show, a woman named Zaniya ran up to the stage after correctly bidding at her podium.

In the process, her name tag fell off her shirt as she jumped up and down.

One of the players still standing behind the podium picked up the name tag and handed it to Zaniya.

When she stood next to Drew, she held it up proudly.

“I won’t forget your name. We’ll get you another name tag later for a souvenir,” Drew told her.

‘TIL I DIE’

Despite Drew flinging insults and being a witness to wardrobe malfunctions, the host isn’t going anywhere.

In an interview with TV Insider, the host talked about being the longest-running game show host, now that Pat Sajak retired from Wheel of Fortune.

He told the outlet about his future on The Price is Right, which he has hosted since 2007.

“I just show up and punch the clock and hope I have a job every day,” Drew said.

“I do have a goal: I want to keep going until I die. This is my 18th season. I’ve got to get the 35 and 41 so I can catch Bob Barker and Pat Sajak.”

Bob Barker was the host of The Price Is Right from September 4, 1972, until June 15, 2007.

“It’s such just a great part of my day, my year, my life. I can’t imagine giving it up,” Drew went on.

She whizzed through the game with ease, which Drew, 66, chalked up to her education.

“We might as well not even keep going but … OK, OK. You have a PHd,” the Price is Right host said.

“I was thrown out of college twice. What’s the opposite of a PhD?”

Lillian quickly hit back with, “A talk show host.”

Drew nearly fell over laughing.

“You know what? I’m not smart enough to be a talk show host,” he responded, still in stitches.

The audience and Lillian laughed along.

MAJOR CHANGE

Drew has undergone a drastic change in his appearance recently.

WARDROBE MALFUNCTION

Earlier that same week, a Price is Right contestant suffered a major wardrobe malfunction on the show.

Player Zaniya received a chance to play Time is Money after guessing closest to the actual price of a Nordic Track exercise bike.

She estimated the gym equipment cost $1,700, the highest bid among the four players.

As Drew revealed the “actual retail price” of $2,079, Zaniya began excitedly jumping up and down, shouting, “That’s me!” as her podium lit up and started ringing.

In her excitement, Zaniya’s name tag flew off, and without noticing, she ran onto the stage, leaving it behind as she shouted.

One of the players still standing behind podium picked up the name tag and handed it to Zaniya.

While still yelling, the player accepted her tag, waving it in the air briefly before rushing to Drew.

Once there, Zaniya held up her name tag for the camera and audience to see as Drew assured her that he wouldn’t forget her name.

“I won’t forget your name. We’ll get you another name tag later for a souvenir,” he said.

Bowen Yang is contemplating a future without Saturday Night Live.

In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, the actor, comedian and podcaster addressed whether he envisions an end to his long run on the late-night sketch comedy show. Yang, 34, has so far appeared in more than 100 episodes since joining the cast in season 45 in 2019 (after previously being hired to work on the writing team in 2018).

“SNL, it’s just this moving, living, breathing thing,” he notes, before sharing how the recent 50th anniversary special — which saw the return of numerous former cast members — gave him a glimpse into what his life could look like after stepping away from the show.

“Especially after the 50th, I’m seeing what life after the show is like and how beautiful it is, and how so many people, no matter how long they were at the show, are just with their families and loving their lives and not letting the years take away any of that experience for them,” Yang says.

“And then with SNL, like I said, it’s this growing, living thing where new people come in and you do have to sort of make way for them and to grow and to keep elevating themselves,” he continues. “And that inevitably requires me to sort of hang it up at some point — but I don’t know what the vision is yet.”

He noted how the production schedule for the show can be demanding, often leaving him with little downtime. “The new season of SNL, I’m just like, ‘Oh, right. My time isn’t my own.’ And I tell my friends, ‘I’m not going to really see you guys until June,’ ” he says.

His packed schedule also impacts his dating life. “And people that I’ve gone a couple solid dates with I’m like, ‘Hey, it’s not for lack of interest. My time is really slipping away from me and I’m so sorry and it’s not a you thing, it’s a me thing,’ ” Yang continues.

Still, he said he relishes the collaborative spirit of SNL and how the show allows him to jump into any conceivable situation to get a laugh.

“I think one of the best parts about working at SNL is that whenever you’re not working on your own, because you are helping someone else, a cast member, execute on their vision, and so they’re coming up to you being like, ‘You need to dress up as a drone and you need to dress up as a Chinese spy balloon and do blah, blah, blah.’ And you’re like, ‘Okay, sure.’ ‘You need to do up with Lady Gaga,’ ” he tells PEOPLE. “And you can’t think anything of it.”

He adds: “You get shot out of a cannon in so many of these situations that it kind of breaks down all of your hesitancies around doing anything that has only served me. I mean, every now and then, a lot of times it’ll be like egg on your face, you’ll make an ass out of yourself, but I never, ever weigh that against the wonderful things that I’ve gotten to do.”

Outside of the SNL set, Yang’s latest project sees him starring in a remake of Ang Lee’s 1993 filmThe Wedding Banquet. He plays Chris, a commitment-phobic nature guide whose boyfriend, Korean expat Min (Han Gi-chan), remains in the closet to his conservative family. To avoid having to return to Korea, Min offers to pay for additional IVF treatment for Chris’ best friend Angela (Kelly Marie Tran) and her partner Lee (Lily Gladstone) if Angela marries him.

Yang has a nude scene in the movie — and joked to PEOPLE that he hasn’t forewarned his mother about it. She recently asked him when she will be able to see the film, and Yang told her April 18.

“And then it dawned on me, ‘Oh, she’s going to see my ass.’ But it’s going to be great,” he says.

A Price Is Right contestant fell on the ground on set after winning a lot of money on the Showcase wheel. The contestant first won $1,000 after spinning 100, and then got a second chance to win more money. The episode was a special “All Cash Friday” where all of the prizes were money.

Sabrina Miller was one of the first contestants called to Bidder’s Row on Friday, April 18. She bid $2,000 on a trip for two to Santa Fe, New Mexico. That was the highest price and since the retail price was $2,896, she won.

For her game, Punch a Bunch, Miller had the chance to win up to $50,000 in cash. First, she had to guess if items were higher or lower than the given price to earn punches. The first was an electric wok with two chopsticks and a steaming rack. It was priced at $40, and Miller said it was higher. The wok was $80, so she was correct and earned one punch.

An insulated cooler was priced at $60. Miller said it was lower and she was correct, as it was $23. A digital scale was price at $19. Miller said it was higher, and it was, retailing at $30. The fourth item was a book light, priced at $55. Miller guessed lower. It was $15, so she earned her fourth punch.

After The Price is Right contestant punched the four slots, host Drew Carey revealed the dollar amounts she won. The first was $1,000. She threw it away to try for more. The second card was $5,000. Miller threw that one away, too. This worked out for her as the third card was $10,000. She decided to keep the money and not look at the fourth card. However, Carey showed her anyway. The fourth card was $5,000, so Miller made the right decision keeping the $10,000.

During the Showcase Showdown, Miller’s luck did not run out. Her opponents Josh and Omar spun 60 and 80, respectively. Miller spun a 50 twice, equaling to 100, which gave her $1,000. She got the chance to spin again to try to land on the five, 15, or 100, to try and win more money. If Miller landed on the five or 15, she’d win an extra $10,000. However, if she landed on the 100, she would win an extra $25,000.

The wheel landed on 100, so she won $26,000 in total. Miller dropped to the floor and screamed as the bell went off.

Sitcoms like Night Court have proven to be smashes for the network, and with a star like McEntire behind it, Happy’s Place could even top the sainted 2000’s staple, Reba. A Season 2 Production Timeline Is Revealed

sitcoms have lightning-quick production timelines and shouldn’t struggle to arrive before the end of 2025.

On the eve of season 1’s finale, the latest news arrived in the form of a production timeline for Happy’s Place season 2. The sitcom was renewed preemptively in February 2025, and now all eyes have turned to the upcoming season that will presumably arrive for the 2025-2026 fall slate. Series co-creator Kevin Abbott painted a clear picture for the upcoming year, saying “We’ll probably start pre-production mid-April because of Reba’s schedule,“ before revealing June as the likeliest time for shooting to begin. Fortunately, sitcoms have lightning-quick production timelines and shouldn’t struggle to arrive before the end of 2025.

So season 2, we’re actually starting up early. We’ll probably start pre-production mid-April because of Reba’s schedule on The Voice. We have to work around that. So we will start shooting again beginning of June. We do have leftover ideas from what would’ve been season 1 that we didn’t get to. So we definitely have those, and I’ll start up with the writers next week.

We’ve got a couple of new writers coming on, so I want to be open to any ideas that they might have to take these characters places. And I’d like to take a week or two off just to let my brain rest from living with these people. They’re noisy. But I have a lot more energy for season 2 already than I would normally have at the end of a season. And really, this cast has been marvelous. It’s been a fun season doing this show with these guys.

Riding high on excellent ratings, decent reviews, and the undeniable star power of Reba McEntire, Happy’s Place was renewed for a second season in late February 2025. The news came while there were still a handful of season 1 episodes that hadn’t aired yet, speaking to the confidence that the network has in the sitcom. While there’s little known about season 2 quite yet, it’s expected that the sophomore season will be part of NBC’s fall 2025 slate. Co-creator Kevin Abbott has speculated that June is the earliest the show could start filming again.

As with most sitcoms, the cast of Happy’s Place is really the most important part of the series, and it usurps even the plot in terms of audience engagement. From the show’s inception, it was clear that the sitcom was built around the dynamic personality of country music superstar Reba McEntire, and her return as the whip-smart and headstrong co-owner of Happy’s, Bobby, is an absolute necessity. Likewise, the return of Melissa Peterman’s chatty bartender, Gabby, is also assured, since the network is banking on audience familiarity from the days of Reba.

Young Belissa Escobedo will need to return as the other half of the bar ownership duo, Isabella, and her burgeoning relationship with her half-sister is an important emotional thread. The series will no doubt employ a wide range of guest stars, but predicting who could appear is quite difficult. It’s also likely that those guest stars could burgeon into returning characters, but it’s hard to predict things like that until more information is available.

Though Happy’s Place is a quintessential sitcom, the season 1 finale did an excellent job of setting the stage for season 2. While it’s expected that the regular trials and tribulations of running a successful business will continue, the show has clearly pivoted to be about relationships above all else. Bobbie and Isabella have finally grown to love one another, and a romance is budding between Bobbie and Emmett. However, romances in sitcoms are almost always rocky, and the lovebirds will certainly face their fair share of troubles.
