Kelsea Ballerini Reveals a Secret She Kept From Us While on Tour

For the most part, Kelsea Ballerini has been an open book in her relationship with her fans — until now. The country singer spilled the tea on a secret she that she kept throughout her entire Live on Tour trek, which wrapped April 9.

But if you’re thinking this is a pregnancy announcement, let’s just put that one to bed: She’s not pregnant.

However, she did parade this secret in front of the crowd every single night. In fact, she didn’t even try to hide it — it was on full display night after night.

The secret was her hair. Ballerini opted to wear a wig for each of her concert performances, rather than put her hair through all of the styling it would have taken to achieve her flawless look.

As any girl knows, luscious locks can become lackluster strands when they are repeatedly exposed to heating tools and thick products. Now imagine doing that night after night for weeks on end!

The “Penthouse” singer said no ma’am to that damage! She spilled her big secret in a recent social media video.

“Protected my hair, felt like Hannah Montana and got the after show nickname Rufus,” she writes in the caption. “Last night of tour shed.”

Fans Honestly Can’t Believe Kelsea Ballerini’s Hair Was Fake

“IT WAS A WIG??? GURRLLL IT LOOKED SO REAL,” Dawn writes in the comments.

“The hairstylist who installed this KILLED it,” Kenzie Elizabeth adds. “It was unclockable.”

“I feel like a Hannah Montana fan right now … flabbergasted,” Ellen Farmer chimes in.

    “WHATTTTTTTT,” comments Hailey Benedict.

    We agree, Hailey.

Others were picking up some Joey King vibes as the wig came off, saying she looks like the Ramona and Beezus actress.

“I’ve never realized until now how much you and Joey King resemble each other,” Katie Copper writes.

“Why am I lowkey seeing Joey King in here,” another asks.

“I just realized how much she looks like JOEY KING, wild,” Lulu adds.

Next up for Ballerini and her live show hair is CMA Fest, which runs across a June weekend in Nashville. She’s also the rookie coach on this season of The Voice, which films its live shows in Los Angeles.

The Price Is Right fans blast model as ‘fake’ and ‘annoying’ after reaction during game show

Viewers called out a model from The Price Is Right for what they felt were “fake” and “annoying” reactions during a game.

The popular game show, hosted by Drew Carey, also features models, including Manuela Arbelaez, Amber Lancaster, Rachel Reynolds, Alexis Gaube, and Devin Goda.

They regularly appear on the show in various rotations to help present the games and prizes.

Contestants often celebrate their wins with Drew and the nearby models with hugs, handshakes, and high-fives.

However, some fans called attention to a model during an episode earlier this week.

It featured what some consider a “tricky” game for The Price Is Right contestant.

TPIR contestant played a challenging game due to item prices

The Price Is Right’s Tuesday episode included a contestant playing the game Hole In One, which involves several challenges.

The main aspect involves making a putt on a fake golf green set up on stage. The contestant gets their putt from a closer spot based on how well they price items in the game.

If they make the shot, the contestant wins a big prize, such as a new car.

On Tuesday’s episode, a contestant named Lorena played the game for a chance to win a new Honda Civic Sport.

TPIR’s models Alexis and Rachel were on stage to present the car and the other items Lorena had to guess prices for.

She had to rank six items in the game from most to least expensive. They included a box of organic waffles, car cleaner, a bag of trail mix, Primatene Mist asthma relief, Sriracha spread, and Pilot erasable marker pens.

As she guessed each product from least to most expensive, the models arranged their flags at the corresponding lines on the golf green.

One by one, they revealed each item’s price on the flags. Lorena correctly guessed the first three items with prices under $10. However, Alexis then revealed $25.20 for a set of erasable marker pens by Pilot, seemingly indicating that would end the correct guesses.

After showing the item’s price to the contestant, audience, and viewers, she first made a surprised “O” face. She then changed her expression to the one shown below after the reveal.
screengrab of model alexis gaube during the price is right episode 2024Alexis reacted to a contestant’s incorrect guess for a price on The Price Is Right. Pic credit: CBS
Even Drew was shocked by the item’s price. It ended her correct guesses, but he told Lorena she did well by getting closer to the hole for her putt than others recently had. She attempted the shot from only a few lines away.

She was close enough to sink the putt and win herself a car worth over $26,000. After the win, models Alexis and Rachel applauded, then joined Lorena next to her new car to celebrate.

Viewers called out TPIR model for her reactions during the game show

In a Reddit post, an individual uploaded a close-up shot of Alexis’s face from the abovementioned moment and said it was a “tricky” game due to the items and that her expression summed it up. However, other fans reacted differently to her expression.

“She’s just the worst. Not trying to be mean but I really dislike her. All the others are wonderful, she’s just way too fake with those facial reactions – like chill,” a critic commented.

The downvoted comment received multiple replies, including one who said they disagreed and liked all of the show’s models.

Another commenter agreed and said they find her “really annoying” during the game show.

Alexis regularly appears on the game show along with the other models mentioned. According to her The Price Is Right bio, she’s the newest of the models on the game show, having joined in 2021.

She’s appeared in campaigns for Target, Jockey, and Kohl’s. Alexis also appeared as a model in the soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful several times.

The Price Is Right’s Drew Carey ‘slaps contestant in the face’ before apologizing for accident caused by his ‘flailing’

THE Price Is Right host Drew Carey has accidentally knocked the glasses right off one of the contestants on Wednesday’s show.

The 65-year-old profusely apologized after hitting the game show player in the face.

Toward the end of the first round of competitors, Drew welcomed the three players over to the wheel for the Showcase Showdown.

He told a woman named Hilary to “start us off” as the first to spin the wheel that day.

She wore a bright pink sweater and red glasses as excitedly spun the wheel.

During this game, the players are spinning to see who gets to advance to the show’s finals.

Each player can spin the wheel, which features various values up to $1, up to two times with the goal of being the contestant with the highest value that doesn’t exceed $1.

Hilary landed on $0.20 and decided to go again, but as she jumped up and down in anticipation, Drew watched the wheel and screamed as he realized it was set to land at $0.90, making her total higher than $1.

That meant she was immediately eliminated from The Price Is Right, and it was time for the next person’s turn.

    MIGHTY MISHAP

While finishing up with Hilary and preparing to welcome the next player, an accident took place.

He should Hilary’s hand but was already looking over to player number two off to the side.

Drew quickly lifted up his hand, face open, to usher a contestant named Chandler over to the wheel, but Hilary hadn’t yet had time to move from her position.

The longtime host ended up accidentally hitting Hilary in the face, knocking her glasses off.

“Oh, sorry!” Drew quickly told her, before continuing to say, “Sorry, so sorry!”

He held onto her shoulder as he apologized, and she laughed it off, as did her competitors standing behind her.

Once she moved out of the way and Chandler stepped up to the wheel, Drew took another moment to joke about the mishap.

He moved both of his arms all around, teasing that that accident happened because he was just “flailing away.”

    SHOCKED VIEWERS

Viewers at home couldn’t believe what they had just witnessed on the beloved game show.

One fan shared a clip of the moment on an online forum and wrote, “Drew slaps contestant in the face!”

“I looked away for a second so I didn’t know exactly what he did, lol,” a second said, before adding. “Well, he did say sorry.”

“Having your glasses knocked off your face is never not clumsy and embarrassing,” a third concerned fan commented.

“Geez…I really need to start watching the show instead of having it on in the background,” another viewer joked.

“This was hilarious lol,” one fan simply wrote.

When you’re a celebrity, most people remember their interactions with you, no matter how long ago or how brief. If I were that celebrity, I’d sure as hell would hope that the interaction was a positive one. But, as Drew Carey found out on Friday’s episode of The Price Is Right, your mistakes can come back to haunt you, too.

In an episode where all the contestants were first responders, Regina Smith, who is a collision investigator for the LAPD, was called to “come on down!” to Bidders’ Row, and she eventually made it to the stage. This is where Carey, bless his heart, admitted that, during the conversations he has with the audience during the commercial break, he found out that he had met Smith before.

Drew Carey reveals secret about 'Price Is Right' contestants

He let Smith explain it: she wrote Carey a traffic ticket years ago for missing a stop sign as he was driving through the Hollywood Hills.

After saying to Smith that he just didn’t come to a complete stop, she blew his cover by saying while laughing, “No, you ran the stop sign… in your red Mini Cooper!” Suffice to say, she remembers the encounter very well.

Price Is Right' Contestant Shocks Viewers With Outlandish Bid - Parade

Drew deadpans to the camera, “I’ve never seen this woman in my life!” but takes the coincidence in good fun and goes on with the pricing game that Regina won the opportunity to play. It makes us wonder if Regina revealed this encounter online to the contestant coordinators before the show and that cinched her place on Bidder’s Row. Either way, it gave Drew a somewhat unpleasant surprise, which is always good daytime TV, isn’t it?

Anonymous Source Hints That Drew Carey Is Done With Hosting ‘The Price Is Right’

It’s a tough gig to replace a beloved host on a long-running game show. Just ask Ken Jennings, who stepped in for Alex Trebek on Jeopardy!. The same goes for Bob Barker on The Price Is Right.

The daytime game show dates back as far as 1956, and it was re-done in 1972 with Bob Barker as the host. For many, Bob is still considered the OG GOAT of TPIR. However, Drew Carey quickly cemented himself as a beloved personality from the get-go. But is it true he’s leaving the show?

Is Drew Carey really leaving ‘The Price Is Right’? It might just be a tabloid rumor.

It’s important to note that one of the first outlets to report on Drew’s potential departure from the show is The National Enquirer, which is affectionately referred to as “the most reputable of the supermarket tabloids.” The outlet has been known to publish salacious stories that so few people believe that it’s actually news when their stories end up being steeped in fact.

While there hasn’t been any word from Drew as to whether or not he’s leaving the show, The National Enquirer reported that he’s planning on departing from the program. The news comes following the tragic murder of Drew’s ex-fiance Amie Harwick. He stated after she died, “Amie and I had a love that people are lucky to have once in a lifetime. She was a positive force in the world, a tireless and unapologetic champion for women, and passionate about her work as a therapist.”

is drew carey leaving the price is right

    Source: CBS

Drew continued, “I am overcome with grief. I would like to thank you in advance for giving myself and everyone who loved Amie privacy while we try to work through this tragic situation.”

Amie was murdered by an ex-boyfriend, who broke into her apartment and allegedly pushed her off of her balcony, sending the woman to her death.

The anonymous source has stated that Drew is still overcome over the loss of Amie and that “Drew is going through hell, and this has changed his life in every way imaginable. It’s hard to be the jovial host of a TV show when your heart has been torn out by such a horrific tragedy.”

The source went on to say that Amie’s death has gotten Drew thinking that he will ultimately leave Hollywood and The Price Is Right. What does he plan on doing afterwards? Apparently, his work is going to be “in tribute” to Amie’s life, and he’s planning on launching initiatives that will focus on taking harsher stances on acts of domestic violence.

Gossip Cop has castigated The National Enquirer for making a “mockery of tragedies” like Drew Carey’s, pointing out that the publication also reported Matthew McConaughey would replace Alex Trebek as Jeopardy!‘s host and Tom Selleck was leaving Blue Bloods over health issues.

So no, Drew Carey did not leave ‘The Price Is Right’ nor did he announce he’d be leaving the program.

As of now, the rumors are just that, rumors. Drew does still, however, have a contract to fulfill with the show, so only he knows if he’s going to continue as game show host for the program once it expires. But it’s admittedly going to be difficult to find a host who handles a situation like the one below as well as Drew does.

‘Jeopardy!’ Fans Mourn Death of Show Legend Bruce Seymour

    Bruce Seymour on Jeopardy!
    Jeopardy! YouTube

Former Super Jeopardy! winner Bruce Seymour, who won a total of $305,989 on the iconic game show, has died. He was 77.

According to a Legacy.com obituary, Seymour passed away on September 18, 2024, following a seven-week battle with a COVID infection. He was described as been in “excellent health” prior to his infection.

Long-time Jeopardy! fans will remember Seymour for his appearance on the show back in 1987, where he won four consecutive games. He later returned for the 1988 Tournament of Champions, losing in the quarter-finals. He appeared again in 1990 for Super Jeopardy!, a one-time summer-long tournament involving 36 former champions.

Seymour won the Super Jeopardy! championship prize of $250,000. This victory brought his overall Jeopardy! prize money winnings to a massive $305,989, which, at the time, was the most any contestant had won.

The prize money allowed Seymour to research his interest in the life of 19th-century stage performer Lola Montez. After traveling the world in pursuit of that research, Seymour released a book, Lola Montez, A Life, in 1996. He also wrote several articles on travel and opera for various publications.

Born in Indianapolis, Seymour attended Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin, where he was editor-in-chief of The Lawrentian and assistant general manager of the college radio station. He graduated with a major in political science in 1968 before enlisting in the Air Force, where he served as a supply officer at Malmstrom AFB, Great Falls, Montana.

He received an early discharge in 1972 at the end of the Vietnam War and began traveling the world. He returned to the U.S. in 1973, where he started law school at the University of California College of the Law, San Francisco. He graduated and was admitted to the California bar in 1977.

Seymour briefly practiced law with his brother before setting off on a driving journey around the U.S. to visit the graves and libraries of every president. After returning to California, he accepted an offer from an old law school classmate and his wife to become a live-in jack of all trades at their newly purchased 70-year-old home in Piedmont.

In 2007, Seymour moved on to the Peace Corps, where he was assigned a position in Ukraine. He was medically discharged by the Peace Corps after developing cataracts. Seymour returned to San Francisco and worked as an attorney for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services until he retired in 2016 and continued his passion for traveling the world.

“Throughout his life and wherever he traveled, Bruce made many friends with whom he continued to communicate until his death,” the obit reads. “Although he never married, perhaps disappointing some of his lady friends, he realized that his desire to continue traveling as long he was able, at the lowest cost and with the fewest possible belongings were unsuited to any stable commitment. He was determined to do it his way, and he did until the end.”

After the news of Seymour’s passing became public, several Jeopardy! fans took to social media to share their comments and condolences.

“What a fabulous life, in so many ways. He wrote the book on Lola Montez! RIP, sweet man,” wrote one Reddit commenter.

    “Wow! A legend,” said another.

“What a life well lived!! Incredible!” another added.

Another wrote, “Ah man RIP. Sad we never got to see him return to the show.”

“That’s a heck of an obituary. What life! RIP, Champ,” said one fan.

Seymour is survived by his older brother, James, and his wife, Carol King; his younger sister, Katherine, and her husband, Scott Ward; his family, Bruce, Ellen, Brian, and Emily Gilmore; Brian’s wife, Leslie, and their five children; and many, many friends throughout the world.

How much do ‘The Price is Right’ models get paid? Surprisingly, it’s a lot more than you’d think

The entertainment industry attracts millions across the globe to make the most of their talent and earn big bucks. Although all contestants in TV game shows may not walk home with a grand prize, the host, the production staff and actors who appear in the background also get paid well.

Among them are the models on the show “The Price is Right,” who earn a hefty paycheck while showcasing the prizes being offered. The game show gives members of the audience a chance to guess the price of some products and the person with the most accurate estimate takes the prizes home.

According to a Quora user, the models on the game show earn around $100,000 annually. Another user revealed in the comments that the daily rate at which they are paid is $800, and the models reportedly work on the show for six months out of a year.

While due diligence hasn’t been done yet to verify the numbers, it is a pretty well-known fact that some of the popular models such as Rachel Reynold have a net worth of $4 million. Apart from appearing on the gameshow, the model has been a part of Hollywood projects including “Cellular” and “Lonely Hearts.”

Another popular model is Manuela Arbeláez who has been a part of the gameshow since 2008. Her main source of wealth is reportedly her career as a model and according to The U.S Sun, the model has a net worth of $1 million. Therefore, even if the figures cannot be corroborated, the net worth of the models does indicate that they are being compensated well, in addition to the popularity that they’ve achieved.

With high ratings translating into ad revenues, game shows can afford to pay high salaries to their employees while shelling out millions in prizes for the contestants. Game Shows such as “Jeopardy” and “The Price is Right” make money mostly thanks to the production network that charges the advertisers for ad space on the shows. Some of these game shows are syndicated, which means that most revenue comes from local affiliates who pay for the rights to air them. An added advantage of being a syndicated show is the access to hundreds of local markets with their respective networks paying for the broadcasting rights.

This whole system works as TV spots are pretty expensive, which was rightly pointed out by Reddit user u/kbergstr who claimed that a national 30-second ad spot costs between $100,000 and 120,000. The “Price is Right” television game show first aired back on September 4, 1972, on CBS, and Bob Barker hosted the show for the longest time from its first episode until his retirement in June 2007, which is when Drew Carey took over. The “Price Is Right” has been aired for more than 9,000 episodes since its debut and is the longest-running game show in the country. The 53rd season premiered this year in September with a daytime as well as a primetime episode.

‘The Price is Right’: Drew Carey Flings Money Into Air After ‘Future Star’ Has Wild Win

Drew Carey had a “future star” on his hands on Friday’s (November 8) episode of The Price is Right and offered some advice to the budding young actor.

On Friday’s show, a contestant named Malcolm made his way to the stage to play for a big cash prize. Before revealing the game, Carey spoke with Malcolm about where he was from and what he was doing in Los Angeles, California.

“Born in Baltimore, but New York raised me,” Malcolm told Carey before revealing he was in LA for “a quick table read.”

“Oh, what’s up, future star?” Carey replied before quipping, “Well, act like you love money because we have a pretty nice prize here.”

Announcer George Gray then revealed Malcolm would be playing for a chance to win $10,000 in the “½ Off” game. In this game, contestants are shown three pairs of small prizes and must guess which is marked with the correct price and which is marked at half its actual price. For each correct guess, half of the 16 boxes on stage are removed, giving the contestant a better chance of picking the box with $10,000 in it.

The half-off items included a fan, a massager, and a vacuum sealer, all of which Malcolm guessed correctly. He received a bonus $1,000 for getting all three items right, and it also left him with just two boxes to pick from to land the $10,000 prize.

“Can you give me a hint?” Malcolm asked.

“I wish I could, but I have no idea,” Carey responded.

Malcolm’s luck continued as he lifted the lid off the box to reveal $10,000 in cash. He was then joined by models Devin Goda and Alexis Gaube as they threw some of the dollar bills into the air in celebration.

“Alright! Malcom was a future star, now he’s a star, period!” wrote one fan on YouTube.

“I’m so happy for him,” said another.

Another added, “Played it perfectly CONGRATS BRO!!!!!”

Will Malcolm become a future star? Only time will tell, but it wouldn’t be the first time a famous face has appeared on The Price is Right before making it big.

Long-time Wheel of Fortune co-host Vanna White was a contestant on June 20, 1980, though she didn’t make it from Contestants’ Row to the main stage. More notably, perhaps, Breaking Bad star Aaron Paul appeared on the show on January 3, 2000, where he played and lost his pricing game and overbid on his Showcase.

Jimmy Kimmel on Karoline Leavitt’s California claims: ‘It didn’t happen’

If part of the job of the White House press secretary is to provide fodder for late-night TV hosts, Karoline Leavitt is off to a strong start.

In her debut at the lectern Tuesday, the 27-year-old New Hampshire native reiterated President Trump’s claim that the US military moved into California and “turned on the water” to ease the state’s wildfire crisis.

“This might be worse than when [Trump] made Sean Spicer say he had the biggest inauguration crowd in history,” Jimmy Kimmel said during his monologue Tuesday.

In case you’ve forgotten, Spicer, who was Trump’s first press secretary, falsely claimed that the crowd at the 2017 inauguration was “the largest audience to ever witness an inauguration, period, both in person and around the globe.” (Things didn’t get much better for Spicer, who resigned after 182 days on the job.)

On Tuesday’s show, Kimmel played some of Leavitt’s press briefing, including a clip of her saying that the Los Angeles water supply was back on thanks to “the pressure campaign [Trump] put on state and local officials there who clearly lack all common sense.”

    Kimmel shrugged.

“Whether or not the US military entered California and turned the water on is not a matter of debate,” he said. “This is not liberal versus conservative. It didn’t happen, OK?”

Leavitt, who’s the youngest White House press secretary in US history, is a graduate of Saint Anselm College in New Hampshire. She’s married to Nicholas Riccio, a real-estate developer who’s three decades her senior, and has one child.

At the press briefing Tuesday, Leavitt, wearing a gold necklace with a large crucifix, told reporters that “the golden age of America has most definitely begun.” She added that the White House press pool will be expanded to include nontraditional media.

“We welcome independent journalists, podcasters, social media influencers, and content creators to apply for credentials to cover this White House,” she said.

In other words, said Kimmel, “Leavitt is now the ringleader at the White House, where she promised a new and more circus-like atmosphere going forward.”

Over on CBS, meanwhile, “Late Show” host Stephen Colbert was focused Tuesday on Trump’s sweeping freeze of federal aid and his move to fire or force out government workers, including lawyers at the Department of Justice who worked on the Jan. 6 cases.

“Hey, remember when Donald Trump said he was going to be a dictator only on day one?” said Colbert. “Well, evidently, his first act as dictator was declaring that day one never ends.”

CBS Cuts Two Major Series—What the ‘FBI’ Franchise Cancelations Mean for Network TV

The CBS crime procedural universe just got hit with a serious shake-up. ‘FBI: Most Wanted’ and ‘FBI: International’, two high-performing spin-offs in the beloved Dick Wolf franchise, have been canceled, and fans are left stunned. What prompted CBS to pull the plug on two seemingly successful shows?

Let’s break it all down—the ratings, the behind-the-scenes decisions, what this means for the FBI franchise, and what fans can expect moving forward.

📉 The Unexpected Cancellation: A Network Power Move

Why Would CBS Cancel Popular Shows?

At first glance, canceling two spin-offs from a thriving franchise seems illogical. But when you look deeper, it becomes a strategic move based on finances, viewership patterns, and evolving industry standards.

CBS, like other networks, isn’t just evaluating shows based on Nielsen ratings anymore. They’re analyzing streaming performance, international distribution, production costs, and content ownership. If a show isn’t owned in-house, it’s less profitable long-term.

🧾 The Money Problem: Rising Costs and Shrinking Margins

Are Budget Cuts the Real Culprit?

Both ‘FBI: Most Wanted’ and ‘FBI: International’ were produced by Universal Television and Wolf Entertainment, meaning CBS had to license them. Licensing fees can stack up, especially for hour-long dramas with international shoots (International, anyone?).

The industry trend is clear: networks are moving toward producing and airing shows they fully own, just like streaming services prefer original content. CBS likely did the math—and the result wasn’t in favor of the spin-offs.

📊 Ratings vs Reality: Did Viewership Actually Drop?

Were ‘FBI: Most Wanted’ and ‘International’ Still Pulling in Numbers?

Short answer? Yes. Both shows maintained steady audiences, especially in key demographics. However, in a crowded streaming landscape, “steady” just doesn’t cut it anymore.

CBS may be betting big on newer, cheaper, and fully-owned content that performs well digitally and internationally.

🎬 The Dick Wolf Empire: Cracks in the Foundation?

Could This Signal the End of the ‘FBI’ Universe?

Not so fast. The main flagship show, FBI, has been renewed and remains a strong pillar in the network’s primetime lineup. This move might actually be a way to streamline the franchise, reduce overlap, and focus on one powerhouse title.

Think of it like pruning a tree—cutting off branches to help the core grow stronger.

🌍 ‘FBI: International’: A High-Concept Gamble That Didn’t Pay Off

Why Was ‘International’ the First To Go?

While ‘FBI: International’ had a unique globe-trotting angle and fresh cast dynamics, the cost of international production is massive. COVID-19-related travel and safety protocols pushed budgets even higher.

CBS likely realized that keeping it on air just didn’t make financial sense, no matter how compelling the storyline or dedicated the fanbase.

🚔 ‘Most Wanted’: Was It Really On Its Last Legs?

    Why Axe a Proven Performer?

‘FBI: Most Wanted’ had a solid, loyal audience and consistently delivered dramatic, edge-of-your-seat episodes. But its production costs and external studio involvement made it a less attractive long-term bet.

Plus, shifting audience preferences toward serialized storytelling and streaming-first platforms might have factored into the decision.

🔁 Could a Streaming Revival Be in the Cards?

Are Spin-Offs Really Gone for Good?

Never say never. With platforms like Paramount+, Peacock, or even Netflix hungry for recognizable IP, don’t be surprised if one or both canceled shows get resurrected as limited series or movies.
