Rebecca Budig’s shocking exit from “The Bold and the Beautiful” has left fans in a state of disbelief and sorrow. As her character Taylor gears up to break things off with Ridge, the repercussions are sure to send shockwaves throughout Los Angeles. Can the show survive this emotional upheaval?

BREAKING NEWS!!! Rebecca Budig Leaves The Bold and the Beautiful – Taylor Will Break Up With Ridge and Leave LA

In a shocking twist on The Bold and the Beautiful, Rebecca Budig, who recently stepped into the role of Taylor Hayes, has announced her departure from the series, leaving fans stunned and sparking a major shake-up within the Forrester family. This exit promises to reshape key relationships on the show, most notably the long-standing triangle between Taylor, Ridge Forrester, and Brooke Logan.

Rebecca Budig The Bold and the Beautiful Interview

Rebecca Budig, already a soap opera veteran thanks to her roles on General Hospital and All My Children, brought a fresh take to the iconic character of Taylor Hayes. Though initially met with skepticism due to the strong legacy left by Hunter Tylo, Budig quickly made the role her own. Her version of Taylor was thoughtful and conflicted—a woman torn between her duties as a psychiatrist and the emotional rollercoaster of her past with Ridge.

However, after a year of portraying Taylor, Budig has decided to step away from The Bold and the Beautiful, citing her desire to return to the role of Hayden Barnes on General Hospital. Her decision leaves a gaping hole in the show’s current narrative, one that will ripple through several character arcs.

Taylor’s sudden exit from Los Angeles is expected to be anything but simple. Behind her calm demeanor, it’s rumored that Taylor has been secretly battling a serious health condition. Rather than burden her family with her struggles, she quietly decides to leave, choosing self-sacrifice over confrontation. Her departure is poised to cause emotional turmoil, particularly for her children, Steffy and Thomas Forrester, and of course, Ridge.

A YouTube thumbnail with maxres quality

With Taylor stepping away, Ridge is left at a crossroads. He’s once again forced to choose between the two most significant women in his life—Taylor and Brooke. And now, with Taylor no longer in the picture, Ridge may finally lean into the comfort and passion he’s always shared with Brooke. While their past is filled with betrayal and heartache, there’s a deep connection that’s never fully gone away. Brooke, his “true north,” could once again become his anchor during this emotionally turbulent time.

Steffy, who’s always rooted for her parents to reunite, will find this especially difficult. She’s long believed that Ridge and Taylor were soulmates and has worked tirelessly to see them back together. But now, Steffy may be forced to accept the inevitable—that her father and Brooke might be destined to rekindle their romance. In fact, there are whispers that Steffy is already preparing to embrace this change, possibly even supporting a grand wedding celebration that could symbolize healing and unity within their fractured family.

Meanwhile, Taylor’s absence is likely to stir unresolved tensions in her son Thomas as well. He’s had a complicated relationship with his mother, and her exit could either push him into a more mature role within the family—or lead him into new conflicts that test his character once again.

The ripple effects extend beyond just the Forester clan. Characters like Eric Forrester and even Quinn Fuller may find themselves drawn into the emotional fallout, offering their opinions and possibly influencing Ridge’s final decision about his future.

At its core, Taylor’s exit brings classic soap opera themes to the forefront—love, loyalty, sacrifice, and redemption. The series reminds us once again why it has stayed relevant for decades. As actors come and go and storylines evolve, the emotional pull of The Bold and the Beautiful remains strong, mirroring life’s complexities in exaggerated but deeply relatable ways.

As we say goodbye to Rebecca Budig’s interpretation of Taylor Hayes, fans are left wondering—what’s next for Ridge and Brooke? Will their love truly conquer all this time around? And will Taylor ever return to reclaim her place in Ridge’s heart? One thing’s for sure—Los Angeles will never be the same without Taylor. Stay tuned for more stunning twists on The Bold and the Beautiful.

After more than three decades in TV viewers’ hearts, the Conner family is saying goodbye at the end of the upcoming season.

The Conners family photo album is finally closing. The promised seventh and final season of the sitcom about the family from Roseanne, which has been on the air since 2018, is offering a look at the final days on set. And fans should probably get out the tissues.

In Entertainment Weekly’s exclusive backstage video below, Sara Gilbert, who has played Darlene Conner since its parent series debuted in 1988, notes that, “Somehow, it felt like it would be forever.”

Meanwhile, actress Lecy Goranson, who portrayed Gilbert’s older sister Becky on much of the show, speaks lovingly of her longtime workplace: “There wasn’t a day that I was not excited to come here to work.”

John Mellencamp’s 1985 hit “Small Town” plays all the while, adding an extra dose of nostalgia.

Actor John Goodman’s Dan Conner, the husband of Roseanne, who was played by comedian Roseanne Barr in the original series, yubi, also appears in character to give his close-knit family some advice. “If we hang together,” he says, “nothing can stop us.” Of course, before things get too mushy, someone cracks a joke.

After celebrating its milestone 100th episode last season, ABC announced in May that the beloved show, which also stars Laurie Metcalf as Roseanne’s sister Jackie, had been renewed for a final time. Like its predecessor, Roseanne, which aired from 1988 to 1997, the ABC series is about a blue-collar family struggling to make their way in the Midwest.

Noticeably absent, as she has been from the rest of series, is Barr. The 2018 revival of her show was abruptly canceled after just nine episodes, when its star and executive producer infamously made a racist post on social media. A Barr-less version of the family’s ups and downs, which features extended family members played by the likes of Katey Sagal, Emma Kenney, and Jay R. Ferguson, came back five months later. (As viewers saw later, Barr’s character was killed off with an opiate overdose.)

The sequel series has gone on to run a total of seven seasons, and it’s known for featuring big-time stars. Dan Aykroyd, Candice Bergen, Whoopi Goldberg, Juliette Lewis, Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne, the late Paul Reubens, Mary Steenburgen, and Danny Trejo have been among the guest stars. Recurring roles went to Michael Fishman, who played Roseanne’s son D.J. Conner, and Johnny Galecki, who was formerly Darlene’s boyfriend, David, as well as Sean Astin, Matthew Broderick, Brian Austin Green, and Christopher Lloyd.

The final hurrah of The Conners premieres Wednesday, March 26, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.

[BREAKING NEWS] Big Bang Theory to RETURN after the success of Young Sheldon

Underrated Big Bang Theory character to return for new spin-off series

    Sitcom character deserves more appreciation

The Big Bang Theory universe is expanding with a brand new spin-off – and a former character will be making a return.

It was reported in October 2024 that the second off-shoot would arrive after the success of Young SheldonIt is set to focus on three characters from the original series: comic book store owner Stuart Bloom, his girlfriend Denise and recurring character Bert Kibbler.

Big Bang Theory: New Series in the Works at Max

Kevin Sussmann, Lauren Lapkus and Brian Posehn are all set to reprise their roles in the series, which is currently being written ahead of an expected greenlight from Max.

On Tuesday (11 February), Deadline reported that another character will be showing up: plasma physicist Barry Kripke, played by John Ross Bowie.

News of another Big Bang Theory spin-off after Young Sheldon was met with a mixed reception. Many were quick to question the necessity for yet another show based on the hit sitcom, which ran for 12 seasons from 2007 to 2020.

The original became a huge hit for CBS and saw its lead stars, including Jim Parsons, Kaley Cuoco and Johnny Galecki, become some of the highest-paid stars on TV.

Young Sheldon became another hit for CBS, lasting for seven seasons from 2017 to 2024. When the show came to an end, executive producer Steve Holland stated: “This is the right time for this story to come to an end.”

It seems like people have had enough. In response to the new spin-off, X/Twitter has been filled with posts urging them to move on from the idea and create something original instead.

“That’s going to be a hard pass from me,” one person wrote, with another adding: “OR… and hear me out… we green light or revive more original sitcoms that had original characters and an original plot line and haven’t gotten to see the light of day instead of making constant revivals and reboots and spinoffs”

One person stated: “Cancel it, I’m begging,” with another asking: “Why? Literally why?”

Spin-offs are currently rife in the TV schedules, with new shows based on Game of ThronesThe Lord of the RingsThe Walking Dead and The Boys either currently on or in the works.

Melissa Peterman and Christopher Rich share an INCREDIBLE SECRET about Reba McEntire that even her longtime fans are surprised to learn

Did Reba McEntire’s ‘Reba’ Co-Star Just Imply She’s Not a Real Redhead?

Reba McEntire‘s red hair has been her signature look for her whole career — so much so that all you need to do to pull off a convincing Reba Halloween costume is to don a red wig!

But during a recent ET Online interview with McEntire and her Reba co-stars Melissa Peterman and Christopher Rich, Rich took some lighthearted shots at both the women, including a joke that implied McEntire’s hair color might not be quite what it seems.

It actually started as a joke aimed at Peterman, where Rich said, “Well, wait, you’re not really blonde, though.”

But then, he turned in McEntire’s direction, adding, “I’m giving away too much. Because she’s actually more blonde than you are, in real life.”

“She was a little towhead, this one. Back in Oklahoma. Back in the day,” he said, patting McEntire on the leg.

Rich stopped there, though throughout the interview, he cracked a few more jokes at their expense, including one jab about how his entire paycheck from his acting roles might not cover the cost of their makeup.

Of course, Rich has known McEntire and Peterman for decades, since he starred as Brock Hart — McEntire’s character’s ex-husband, who leaves her for Peterman’s character — on the beloved 2000s sitcom.

Did Reba McEntire's Co-Star Just Imply She's Not a Real Redhead?

They’re all close friends, and in the same interview where Rich joked about McEntire’s hair, he also credited her with helping him restart his career after he suffered a devastating stroke years ago.

Rich added that during his years-long healing process, McEntire and Peterman never stopped inviting him to industry events or spending time with him as friends. He credits her with his eventual decision to return back to acting after a hiatus of about a decade, to make a guest spot on her new Happy’s Place sitcom.

He also says that he frequently spends time with McEntire and her boyfriend Rex Linn, including watching football games together.

“I spend a lot of time at her and Rex’s place, watching the Longhorns. Hook ’em! They didn’t make it though,” he explains with a sympathetic gesture toward McEntire.

As for the question of McEntire’s a real redhead? Well, only her hairdresser knows for sure — though you’d be hard pressed to find old photos of her with any shade of hair lighter than strawberry.

[HEARTBREAKING] Reba alum Christopher Rich moves Happy Place fans to tears with his heartfelt revelation about his road to recovery after being diagnosed with a traumatic brain injury following a massive stroke

‘Reba’ Alum Chris Rich’s Post-Stroke Health Battle in His Words: Traumatic Brain Injury to Recovery

Reba alum Christopher Rich candidly discussed his road to recovery after being diagnosed with a traumatic brain injury following a massive stroke.

Rich rose to stardom playing Alexander “Sandy” Cory on Another World in the early ’80s. From there, Rich continued to make memorable appearances on shows such as The Nanny, ER and Murphy Brown before scoring his gig on Reba as Brock.

Reba made Rich a household name after he played Reba McEntire‘s ex-husband Brock from 2001 to 2007. He went on to appear on Boston Legal, Desperate Housewives and Melissa & Joey before slowing down following a health scare.

“After my stroke and having a brain injury, it is like I got hit with an atomic bomb. So it all gets traumatized, and it is a hard reset,” he exclusively told Us Weekly in February 2025 before his guest spot on NBC’s Happy’s Place. “After I finally got out of the hospital, I was moving around again. Then I threw a bunch of blood clots and ended up in the hospital with lung embolisms and debris on my heart. After surviving all of that crap, I’m feeling really, really good.”

He continued: “I lost 50 pounds since the last time I was a regular on television. I just don’t have much of an appetite anymore. But I’m not disappointed by losing weight.”

Rich was hopeful about his return to Hollywood, adding, “It’s great to be able to be a disabled person and play a disabled person. I’m hoping that when some of this gets out there, that people that I’ve worked with in the past are going to say, ‘OK, let’s bring him back. We can work with him.’”

Despite having his life changed by the traumatic brain injury, Rich has remained positive about his ongoing recovery — and is making his return to acting. Keep scrolling for everything Rich said about his health scare, life after having a stroke and how he has prioritized his recovery:

    The Initial Health Issue

“I almost didn’t make it to the Easter service at church because I was busy having a massive stroke,” Rich recalled in a 2022 video for a Texas regenerative medicine clinic. “It has been a major struggle but a part of my treatment is coming here to get a stem cell treatment to heal the right side of my brain where the blood clot happened.”

Rich broke down how the stroke damaged the ride side of his brain, which impaired his ability to walk, talk and use the left side of his body.

“It destroyed some of my brain so what I have been doing is I’ve been trying to redevelop neural pathways,” he continued at the time. “My left side was completely frozen. I couldn’t walk or use my left arm.”

Developing a New Lease on Life

After suffering a stroke in 2018, Rich reflected on his health in a promotional video for a medical center, saying, “I actually had some stem cells injected into my shoulder a few days ago, and the pain is down 80 percent. I have more mobility. I’m walking better. I’m still talking like an idiot, but I don’t think that’s ever going to change.”

Rich admitted he has since looked at his life differently. “When you face a major medical issue, it changes your perspective on life,” he noted. “When you come through it, you begin to enjoy each day a little bit more even with the pain.”

The actor said his health became a priority, which meant it was “that serious a deal” for him to travel from Los Angeles to Texas to “get the highest quality of treatment.”

    Facing Ups and Downs

Rich discussed his mental health in a 2019 video for the Centre for Neuro Skills.

“After [you] suffer a brain injury, it is like everything has changed in a moment and now you’re in this other place. But there’s hope because this is where — for me — the sun shines,” he explained. “Treat your significant other nicely because you’re gonna be relying on them, and don’t forget to ask other people for help because you can use all the help you can get right now. … You’re at the right place and I’m so sorry that you’re having to do this, but I’m glad you found this place. They will take good care of you. They saved my life.”

Rich was previously married to the late Nancy Frangione from 1982 to 1996, with whom he shared one adopted daughter. He found love again with Eva Halina Rich and the couple, who share two daughters, got married in 2003. Eva joined Christopher in a video for the medical center where he recalled the aftermath of his “massive stroke.”

“My wife and I are still working hard to reestablish our relationship because it’s like she’s living with a different person,” he admitted. “I get frustrated with the fact that she doesn’t recognize me as the same guy that is still in here. But she’s like, ‘This is an adjustment.’ I don’t think I’ll ever be exactly what I was before and I hope not because this has been such a learning experience for me.”

    The Initial Year

“I went to sleep the night before Easter and when I woke up, I couldn’t walk or really talk coherently. I had a stroke in the middle of the night and then I had complete left side paralysis. There was basically no use of my left arm at all. I couldn’t walk on my own. I was in a wheelchair,” he detailed in 2019. “My voice sounded abnormal to me, and I had a lot of saliva running out of the left side of my mouth.”

Christopher pointed out that memory was a major issue as well, adding, “I have these dreams at night where I wake up the next morning and I’m completely healed. As much as I want that, some mornings I wake up and I’m trying to stretch out to get moving again, and I realize that I’m doing more than I did yesterday morning.”

He continued: “I have a terrific life thanks to [the medical center]. Bad stuff happens and you can do the, ‘Why me?’ But it’s there for you to grow. This doesn’t stop you and it isn’t the end of the road. It is the beginning of a different road. I would say that CNS saved my life. It really reintegrated me into that life that’s out there.”

Stepping Back From Acting to Focus on His Health

“If you’re an actor, you can’t just suddenly show up again [after suffering a TBI] and say, ‘I can do this.’ Fortunately, I did find something [new]. I miss acting a little bit but not like I thought I would,” he said in the 2019 video for the Centre for Neuro Skills. “It’s been my main drive through my life but the other thing that I’ve done a lot of is philanthropic work and I really miss that more than I do being an actor.”

Christopher continued: “I was able to do something that I got involved with a long time ago. It is a green energy program of non-polluting generators, particularly for islands and remote places.”

    Returning to His ‘Reba’ Roots

After taking a break from acting, Christopher made a guest appearance on NBC’s Happy’s Place. The role reunited Rich with McEntire and Melissa Peterman, who were his costars on Reba. Christopher played a local tattoo artist on Happy’s Place named Maverick who liked to tease new clients about which hand he would use to tattoo them after suffering a stroke that affected his left side.

“The crew made it feel like the old Reba set because we were having a blast. They had as much fun as I did and that was really heartwarming for me. It felt like I was back home in a safe place,” he told Us. “I was really well taken care of. It was a blessing. I want to go back so badly.”

Christopher Rich is proud to call Rex Linn his “bestie.”

Ahead of his Friday, Feb. 21 guest appearance on Reba McEntire’s NBC comedy Happy’s Place —where the Reba alum reunited with his former costars McEntire, 69, and Melissa Peterman — the veteran actor spoke with PEOPLE about just how close the cast of The WB series remains. According to Rich, 71, that closeness even extends to the cast’s significant others.

While sharing that he thinks of McEntire as a “sister,” he also revealed that he’s close to her boyfriend and Happy’s Place costar, Linn.

“Her present boyfriend, Rex Linn, is one of my besties,” he tells PEOPLE, adding that the chance to hang out on set with not only McEntire and Peterman but also Linn was a joy.

Rich says, “It’s glorious to me where life has brought us all to be honest. It’s really fabulous. I’m so happy that she’s happy, and she’s happy that we got to spend time together. And Rex is happy and I’m happy for Rex … it’s just a joyous time.”

Linn, 68, and McEntire met on the set of Kenny Rogers’ film The Gambler in 1991, but the two didn’t begin dating until they reconnected in 2020. According to McEntire, the pair hit it off when the country star was eager to order tater tots at a wine bar during a group outing.

During a March 2023 appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show, McEntire shared that her fondness for tots earned her a new nickname — and kicked off her relationship with the CSI: Miami alum. “Rex said, ‘That’s your nickname from here on out — Tater Tot,’” she explained, before adding that she calls Linn by the nickname “Sugar Tot.”

McEntire continued: “We’re the tots — sugar and tater. We’ve been together ever since. He’s a sweetheart.”

Thanks to his relationship with McEntire, Linn is now a member of the extended Reba family, an honor that he shares with Rich’s wife, Eva Halina Rich, and JoAnna Garcia Swisher’s husband, Nick Swisher.

Rich tells PEOPLE that he thinks of Garcia Swisher, who played his TV daughter Cheyenne on Reba, as one of his own daughters offscreen as well.

“JoAnna Garcia is like a daughter to me for real,” he says. “I married JoAnna and her husband, Nick Swisher, I was the officiant.”

Spoken like a true (TV) dad, Rich adds, “They are like my kids. I love them so much.”

The show is comedic in the classic sitcom style and tackles important topics such as family relationships and mental health disorders. Reba is joined by her former co-star Melissa Peterman and appears alongside her boyfriend, Rex Linn, who plays her love interest in the series.

Reba’s Co-Stars Share Their Thoughts About Working With The Country Music Icon

Pablo Castelblanco, who portrays Steve, recently sat down for an exclusive interview with Hidden Remote to discuss his character, mental health, and the experience of acting alongside the singer.

He noted that his character struggles with OCD (Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder).

Castelblanco emphasized that the show does not treat OCD as a punchline but rather explores the serious challenges that come with it. He shared that,

“We all have some degree of obsessive behavior, so you kind of connect to that. One of the things that I have loved the most is just how the scripts try to portray a version of it. Steve doesn’t just deal with it, but he’s actually trying to work through it and is aware of it.”

During the interview, Steve mentioned that he was attracted to Happy’s Place primarily because he would have the opportunity to work alongside Reba. He also mentioned that he was excited to work with her talented team.

“The team that was around Reba. The format of a sitcom in front of a live audience was very appealing to me. I really wanted to do that. It was everything I dreamed of. There’s also the improv aspect of it. Melissa Pearman is a comedy genius.”

He continued on to speak about the impact of Reba and his former Alaska Daily co-star, Hilary Swank. He said:

“The one thing they share is the wealth of knowledge they are willing to share about the craft. That is something I will forever take from my career. There comes a time when someone has questions, and they are both willing to talk through stuff. They’re not precious about information.”

Many of the singer’s co-stars echoed his sentiment, including JoAnna Garcia Swisher, who also praised the experience of working with her.

“My first impression of Reba was I couldn’t believe that I’m standing in the same room as Reba McEntire! Just being around her has taught me so much that you can be a boss and really successful woman. I’m still learning from her, and she’s still the queen! She’s just always bringing it.”

It is evident that the singer’s co-stars share the belief that they have benefited greatly from working alongside her. Watch Pablo Castelblanco in Happy’s Place below.

John Legend Dashes ‘The Voice’ Fans’ Hopes With Blake Shelton Assertion

One thing about The Voice viewers, they’re a hopeful bunch. Country star Blake Shelton brought many a fan onboard with his earthy charm and banter. Fans were devastated when the “Ol’ Red” singer announced he was hanging up his cowboy hat after 23 seasons. Some fans are still keeping their fingers crossed for Shelton’s return, despite the singer’s admission that he should have left sooner.

John Legend Says Blake Shelton Won't Coach The Voice Again, But [Spoiler] Might | NBC Insider

Fans Want Shelton to “Bring Back the Sunshine”

The Shelton nostalgia is still strong among social media viewers. “4 Best Coaches of The Voice US in one season,” one user wrote on X/Twitter. “Blake Shelton, Adam Levine, Alicia Keys and Miley Cyrus. Ughh year 2017.”

Another X user admitted that they would “always miss Blake Shelton, his voice, wit and sunny personality.”

Country legend Reba McEntire replaced Shelton after Season 23. Many viewers have embraced her presence on the show, but not all.

“Replacing Blake Shelton with Reba was the best decision the voice could ever make,” one viewer wrote on X/Twitter. “Hopefully she work more seasons than just this one.”

Some fans believe The Voice just isn’t what it once was without the friendly rival between Shelton and former coach Adam Levine. “the voice should have been gone after adam levine left, and really should be OFF air now that blake shelton left,” one X/Twitter user wrote. “if anything, the voice is less about the contestants, and more about the coaches’ egos and competitive streaks.”

John Legend Dashes ‘The Voice’ Fans’ Hopes

Senior coach John Legend recently snuffed out diehard fans’ hopes for Shelton’s return to his big red chair. The “All of Me” singer recently told ET Online that he doesn’t think it’s in the cards.

While Legend says he could see a comeback from Shelton’s wife, Gwen Stefani, the “Boys ‘Round Here” singer seems quite content with his newfound freedom on the couple’s Oklahoma ranch.

“I feel like Gwen is the only chance we have. I don’t think Blake is coming back,” Legend said in an interview published Monday (March 18.) “He is staying on the farm, he’s enjoying himself. I’ve talked to him and he’s, like, picking corn. He sent us some fresh corn from the farm, he sent us some fresh peaches from the farm, we made peach cobbler. I don’t think he has any desire to come back to Hollywood and film The Voice.

‘The Voice’ Teases Cryptic Announcement as Fans Speculate Return of 2-Time Winning Coach

The Voice recently wrapped up another successful season, with Asher HaVon taking the crown for Team Reba McEntire. Next season, slated for this fall, brings an almost entirely new crop of coaches. Season 25 champ Reba is the lone two-time returner, with former coach Gwen Stefani also joining the “Fancy” singer. Newcomers Michael Buble and Snoop Dogg will fill out the other two big red chairs. Apparently, however, The Voice isn’t done springing news on voters. An Instagram post seemingly regarding next year’s coaching lineup has fans brushing up on their Hangman skills.

Social Media Post Has ‘The Voice’ Viewers Guessing a Letter

On Tuesday (June 4), The Voices official Instagram account shared a cryptic post. The first slide features white letters on a black background and bears the message “Coach Announcement Incoming.”

When fans swipe right, they see a second post announcing “2025 Coaches.” Below that are the words “Team” four times, each followed by an assortment of blanks representing letters. Viewers are clearly meant to guess the names.

Some users pointed out that The Voice has already confirmed the coaching lineup for season 26. However, that season will air in the fall of 2024, meaning the post is likely referring to season 27.

Many viewers hoped for a return of a two-time champ, as Niall Horan was far and above the most guessed coach. Fans have made their desire to see the “Slow Hands” singer quite clear since he stepped back after season 24 to focus on touring.

“One of them better be Niall,” one user wrote. Another agreed: “i NEED niall back asap “

Of course, there are also five letters in “Blake”—as in Shelton. The “God’s Country” singer has previously expressed his lack of desire to return to his big red chair. However, viewers can still hope.

“The best season of coaches was Ariana Grande, Kelly, Blake, & John Legend!!” one user wrote. “What a time.”

Carson Daly Takes Playful Jab at Blake Shelton

On top of his earthy witticisms and industry knowledge, The Voice viewers perhaps best remember Blake Shelton for striking up playful rivalries with his fellow coaches. And one of those good-natured feuds lives on to this day—Shelton’s beef with host Carson Daly.

In a May 23 Instagram post, the “Boys Round Here” singer teased a potential collaboration with rapper Post Malone. And the longtime host of The Voice couldn’t resist taking a shot.

“Posty must have lost a bet!” Daly commented.

Kelly Clarkson Cries After ‘The Voice’ Competitor Sings Her Song: “Smacking Me in the Face With My Message”

Kelly Clarkson made a memorable return to The Voice on Monday night. Clarkson, who had been out for a few episodes due to illness, was back in the judge’s chair and ready to make some tough decisions during last night’s Knockouts, which pitted competitors Corey Ward and Ryleigh Modig against each other.

While Modig opted for Kings of Leon’s “Use Somebody,” Ward chose a song Clarkson knew all too well: her very own 2009 single “Already Gone.” During a rehearsal with Clarkson and Mega-Mentor Snoop Dogg, Ward explained that he chose the ballad because of his emotional connection to it. “To have Kelly believe in me with this song, you can’t ask for anything better,” he added.

Clarkson was so moved by Ward’s take on her song that she teared up during his first performance, USA Today reports. “When I wrote ‘Already Gone’ I was going through something that I thought, it’s OK. It doesn’t have to work out,” she explained. “And hearing him sing that to me in my life now… Are you like smacking me in the face with my message?”

She added, “It’s interesting when you write something and you don’t feel it until years later.” Clarkson is currently going through a divorce from husband Brandon Blackstock, with whom she shares two children. The two were married for seven years before announcing their split in 2020.

Snoop felt the emotion from Ward’s performance, too, telling the singer, “Yes, Lord, I’m holding this tear back!” and adding, “When you can get the songwriter to lose emotional control, that’s when you doin’ your job.”

Later in the episode, when it was time for Ward to sing “Already Gone” on the stage, Clarkson admitted that hearing her own song is “the coolest thing a songwriter can experience.” She admitted, “He just killed my song in front of me,” joking, “that’s maybe how that as supposed to sound.”

New episodes of The Voice air Mondays at 8/7c on NBC. Watch Ward’s performance in the video above.
