Showrunner Teases Another Exciting Reba Reunion, shares his plans for the new season

‘We’ve Been Talking’: Happy’s Place Showrunner Teases Another Exciting Reba Reunion

The cast of Reba poses for a photo

The following article contains spoilers for Happy’s Place, Season 1.

Reba McEntire’s new NBC sitcom, Happy’s Place, is looking to reunite the actress with more of her Reba co-stars in Season 2. Showrunner Kevin Abbott recently shared his plans for the new season.

Happy’s Place premiered in October 2024, with McEntire starring as Bobbie McAllister, a woman who inherits a bar in Tennessee founded by her father. Bobbie soon finds out she has a half-sister, who also has a claim to the bar’s ownership after the death of their father. As one of NBC’s new sitcoms, Happy’s Place performed well for the network, which led to a second season renewal ahead of the first season’s finale. Now, with a second season on the way, yubi, Abbott revealed to TV Insider that he wants to bring back even more stars from McEntire’s original 2000s sitcom, Reba.

Jacob (Harrison Ford) and Cara (Helen Mirren) Dutton appear in 1923 Season 2

Happy’s Place sees McEntire’s Reba co-star Melissa Peterman playing a main role as Gabby, one of the bartenders at the titular bar. The first season also included notable guest appearances from Shameless star Steve Howey, who played Van Montgomery in Reba and Christopher Rich, who played Reba’s selfish ex-husband Brock in the 2000s sitcom, who appeared in an episode as Maverick.

“We definitely want to bring Joanna [Garcia Swisher] in,” Abbott shared, “We’ve been talking to her. It’s a matter of timing for her.” Garcia played Reba’s daughter, Cheyenne Hart-Montgomery, on the sitcom and went on to gain further popularity in other TV shows, including Once Upon a Time (as Ariel), The Astronaut Wives Club (Betty Grissom), and for hosting Netflix’s reality dating show The Ultimatum: Queer Love. It remains to be seen if the show will bring back Scarlett Pomers or Mitch Holleman, the two actors who rounded out the rest of the Hart family on Reba back in the day.

Happy’s Place Showrunner Teases Season 2’s Story

Whether or not Garcia will be able to make an appearance on Happy’s Place Season 2 remains to be seen, but Abbott also shared other plans he has for the second season of the successful NBC sitcom. With Season 2 now confirmed, Abbott has the opportunity to capitalize on McEntire’s chemistry with her real-life partner Rex Linn, who plays Emmett on the series. As the show goes forward, he wants to explore “Gabby’s motherhood, the Bobbie-Emmett relationship, [and also] Isabella and her backstory.”

    Mid-century Modern stars

“Steve’s becoming a really interesting character to me,” Abbott added. “We want to find out more about Takoda’s home life. […] We wanted to spend a lot of time in Season One letting the audience get to know the characters. Then we’ll get to branch out a little bit more in Season Two now.”

Season 1 of Happy’s Place is now streaming on Peacock.

It’s Time to Say GOODBYE to The Conners: Watch Exclusive Trailer for the ABC Sitcom’s Final Season

The Conners: Watch Exclusive Trailer for the ABC Sitcom’s Final Season

TVLine can exclusively reveal the trailer for the seventh and final season of the Roseanne spinoff, which returns with the first of six farewell episodes on Wednesday, March 26 (ABC, 8/7c). The footage — a combination of new and archival footage dating back to sitcom’s initial 1988-1997 run — is accompanied by wise words from “perfect parent” Dan Conner, who offers a pretty good summation of America’s most beloved working-class family.

“We treat each other with respect… we work hard… and no matter what, we stick together,” he says. “We always said if the kids were still alive at the end of the day, we did our job. I think we did better than that. It makes me realize that we did the right thing by not selling them.”

In the final season premiere, “Jackie stumbles upon an opportunity to sue the pharmaceutical company responsible for Roseanne‘s addiction, which sparks a family debate,” according to the official logline. Additionally, Becky and Tyler give cohabitation a shot, and Darlene receives a promotion at work and hopes that it will afford her more quality time with Ben.

As TVLine exclusively reported, Young Sheldon’s Zoe Perry — Laurie Metcalf’s real-life daughter — will appear in two Season 7 episodes as a cop who gives Jackie a hard time about considering rejoining the police force at her age. Meanwhile, Seth Green will appear in three episodes as Chad, “Darlene’s new friend at the Lobo who is going through a separation from his wife.” Per our sister site Deadline, “Chad and Darlene confide in each other and bond, a little too closely, over their similar biting humor.” (TVLine also revealed which former cast members will not be back, which you can read more about here.)

Including Roseanne Season 10, the sitcom revival will have aired eight seasons total — just one season shy of Roseanne’s original nine-season run. Combined, Roseanne and The Conners will have produced a whopping 343 episodes.

“We carry the weight of the Roseanne legacy. It’s a big, big deal,” executive producer Bruce Helford told TVLine last spring, on the heels of ABC‘s final-season order. “I can promise you this: They will never win the lottery, and they will never be rich.”

Added fellow EP Dave Caplan: “The whole time that we’ve been doing The Conners, we’ve never stopped feeling the pressure of the legacy of the entire run. We owe it to these characters because they’re the same characters. That is at the forefront of our minds with all of the stories that we’ve broken for The Conners, yubi, and it will be on our minds for the last six.” And now it’s time to see how they bring this decades-long saga to a close.

John Legend steals back Voice contestant from Team Adam Levine: ‘Come on home’

    Wait, didn’t this just happen?

On Monday night, The Voice fans saw contestant Ari Camille change teams again. After she began on coach John Legend’s team, she was defeated in the Battle Round and stolen by one of his rivals, Adam Levine. Then, on the second night of the Knockouts, she was stolen again. Legend came to her rescue after she was defeated following her rendition of “Love Like This” by Faith Evans.

“We missed you,” Legend told her afterward. “Come on home.”

Legend had mentioned early in the episode that he had a steal remaining. And he used it after Levine chose Camille’s competitor, Britton Moore, who sang “Free” by Zac Brown Band.

Both performances were stunners, as they often are at this point in the competition. Before the contestants even left the stage, Legend announced, “I’m stealing somebody!”

Moore, who’s from Texas, said he’d never performed a country song previously. But the resident expert in the genre, coach Kelsea Ballerini, liked what she heard.

“Britton, your voice on a traditionally country song is so fun to listen to,” she said after his solo. “Every note is so crisp and perfect. It’s almost like you’re self-auto-tuned.”

Legend quipped that Moore’s voice is “God-o-Tuned.”

“Ari, your energy on stage just makes me so happy. Even you walking up, I was like, ‘OK, boots,” Ballerini said of Camille’s high white boots. “You really came to life, especially when you got out from behind that mic stand. You’re both amazing.” She couldn’t commit to a recommendation for Levine.

Coach, Michael Bublé observed that the two were incredible at just 21. The 49-year-old joked that, “if you add your ages up and then add a few years, you get me.”

He suggested Levine go with Moore.

“Ari, this song your style, your star power just all came together,” Legend told Camille. “This was my favorite performance of yours. I’m not gonna credit Adam being your coach.”

But he told Moore that his song was “pitch-perfect,” too.

And giving another indication of what he planned to do, Legend said, “Both of y’all earned the right to not leave this competition, I’ll tell you that.”

Levine proclaimed both “did exactly what needed to be done,” but he went with Moore.

Legend couldn’t watch Camille go home, however, so he went in for the steal.

Elsewhere in the episode, contestant Divighn said goodbye after a shocking elimination. The contestant covered Levine’s own “Harder to Breathe,” his song with Maroon 5, and got a lot of love from the coaches. Levine, especially, yubi, marveled at the Prince-esque dance moves and shrieks the contestant incorporated.

“Divighn, you got great taste in music, man,” Levine said. “I always secretly dread when people are gonna do our songs, because it always makes me nervous. I’m so close to it. I love what you did with it. You took it and did something that I actually like with it that wasn’t what I normally do. The fact that you can get up there and move the way you were moving and still just deliver like a rock-solid, big vocal, that’s big.”

But it wasn’t big enough, and Divighn’s coach, Bublé, opted to give opponent Kaiya Hamilton the win for her performance of “Here” by Alessia Cara. He didn’t like having to make it: “I made a mistake putting you together.”

The Voice Recap: The Knockouts Put Three More Singers Down for the Count

You know that The Voice had a good night when I make it all the way through a recap without giving a grade lower than a B+. Such was the case Monday as Season 27’s Knockouts continued with seven outstanding performances — and one that must have really fallen short as we didn’t even get the obligatory snippet of it. I’ll add the video when it drops later. In the meantime, let’s discuss, shall we?

Team Bublé: Kaiya Hamilton singing “Here” (Grade: A) defeated Divighn singing “Harder to Breathe” (Grade: B+) | On Maroon 5’s hit, Divighn lived up to his name. Not only did his voice hold up — no mean feat on that number — but his stage presence was holy crap! Off the charts! And that big, deliberate gulp of air that he took? Chef’s kiss. Singing second, Kaiya faced an uphill battle — and, for my money, won it. Divighn is a captivating showman, yubi, but vocally, Kaiya bested him. Not for nothing, but she’s pretty damn charismatic, too.

Team Legend: Bryson Battle singing “Ain’t No Way” (Grade: A+) defeated Tatum Scott singing “Stick Season” (Grade: A-) | Credit to John: Having Bryson sing a lower than he originally intended to brought a staggering richness to his Aretha Franklin cover. Of course, given Bryson’s ridiculous range, this performance was always destined to bring down the house. He made me glad I have ears! Next up, Tatum’s take on Noah Kahan seemed “small” by comparison. But taken on its own merits, her vocal was beautiful, as delicate as a leaf falling in the autumn breeze.

Team Kelsea: Alanna Lynise singing “I’ll Never Love Again” (Grade: A) defeated Page Mackenzie singing “???” (Grade: NA) | Wow, Page must have had an exceptionally off night; we didn’t get to see her even rehearse for this Knockout. Alanna got shortchanged, too, just not as much. We at least were allowed to hear a snippet of her Lady Gaga cover — and for what it was worth, it sounded strong enough that I would’ve preferred to watch the whole performance rather than see Kelsea juggle or Adam balance things on his head.

Team Adam: Britton Moore singing “Free” (Grade: A) defeated Ari Camille singing “Love Like This” (Grade: A) — Ari stolen by John | Wow — good Knockout! Tackling Faith Evans, Ari radiated cool on stage — and that voice of hers just did. Not. Quit. I wasn’t sure going in whether the number would let her show off enough; how wrong I was! “She killed that!” John yelled afterwards. Agreed. On the Zac Brown Band’s hit, Britton made a compelling case for why he should advance. His vocal was solid and felt emotionally open. When he was done, I figured that he had the edge, given how easily he could slip into that Shawn Mendes lane. But they were both terrific.

The Voice Season 27 continued the third stage of the competition on Monday with the second installment of “Knockouts” performances. In this round, each coach will set four head-to-head matchups from their team and will be forced to choose only four winners. While they won’t be able to save any of the losers from their own team, each coach will have a Steal to bring a loser from another team with them to “The Playoffs.” By the end of the round’s 16 performances, 20 artists will remain in the competition.

One hallmark of this round is that the artists get to choose their own song to perform rather than have it selected by their coach, as was done in the “Battles.” Another is that without guest mentors assisting during rehearsals, yubi, it’s the first time that John LegendKelsea BalleriniMichael Bublé and Adam Levine get to work one-on-one with the artists on their team.

    Team Bublé

For the first performances tonight, Michael pitted Divighn against Kaiya Hamilton for a knockout between two soul-pop singers he wanted to see go toe-to-toe. Divighn chose to sing “Harder to Breathe” by Maroon 5 because, like Adam, he has been the lead singer of a Top 40 band. Looking to make a name for himself, Divighn branched out on his own, but until now, he hasn’t been discovered. Kaiya went with “Here” by Alessia Cara because she related to not “fitting in” when she was a teenager. Michael said the win “will come down to whoever delivers the coolest performance.”

After the two performances, John reminded everyone “this is a vocal competition,” but added that it’s important to honor people like Divighn, who has a “compelling” stage presence. He said Kaiya sang “her butt off” and Michael could go either way. Adam jokingly complimented Divighn’s taste in music, but sincerely commended the singer for transforming his song. Adam enjoyed Kaia’s vocal, but preferred Divighn’s overall performance. Kelsea said that Kaiya made her appreciate the song “Here” even more than she did before. She then told Divighn that his cover of “Harder to Breathe” is “the only way to do it.” In the end, Michael said he made a mistake by putting these two together, but chose Kaiya as the winner because “she just gave the best vocal performance.”

    Team Legend

In the night’s second Knockout, John paired powerhouse Bryson Battle with country singer Tatum Scott. John urged Tatum to show more range in her voice while she rehearsed “Stick Season” by Noah Kahan, but agreed it was the perfect song choice. Bryson chose Aretha Franklin‘s classic soul ballad, “Ain’t No Way,” because he enjoys taking on “one of the hardest songs to sing.” John was happy to hear Bryson nail all the notes, but told the singer if he lowered the key it “would sound a little bit richer.”

After both singer’s performed, Adam noted that “it couldn’t have been two more different people doing different things.” The coach compared Bryson to Jordan Smith, who won Season 9, which bodes well for him in this competition. Adam then encouraged Tatum, saying Bryson would “smoke me” vocally too, but there was no clear winner or loser. Kelsea said Bryson’s voice is “one in a million” and Tatum gave her best performance on the show. Michael thanked both artists for allowing him to sit there and be “completely taken away.” In the end, John chose Bryson as the winner because “he has range, he has soul, and does it in a way that looks effortless.”

    Team Adam

In the night’s final Knockout, Adam squared off Ari Camille and Britton Moore because he had no other choice but to put “good people against good people.” Ari chose “Love Like This” by Faith Evans because she grew up listening to the song and it brings people together. To help Ari deal with her nerves, Adam reminded the singer, “No matter what, there is no consequence that is bad enough that you need to worry about it. If you miss a note you’re not going to get dropped into a pit of lions.” Britton went with “Free” by Zac Brown Band because he’s from Texas and “country music is in my heart.” Adam instructed the artist to “pull that microphone to your face” so people could hear his powerful voice.

After both performances, Kelsea said that every note Britton sings is “crisp and perfect” and she loves Ari’s energy on stage. Michael complimented the “youthful beauty” in Britton’s voice and said he won that Knockout. John called Ari’s performance his favorite of hers so far and told Britton he’s pitch perfect. In the end, Adam chose Britton as the winner of this Knockout because of his “amazing control” and ability to “sing for the fences.” Before Ari could be ushered off stage, she was stolen by John who said, “She exudes star power,” as he welcomed her back to Team Legend with open arms.

By the end of Episode 10, one other knockout decided who would advance. Kelsea stuck with Alanna Lynise on “I’ll Never Love Again” by Lady Gaga over Page Mackenzie (whose performance wasn’t shown).

The four-time Emmy Award-winning musical competition series The Voice is in its 27th season featuring five stages of competition: Blind Auditions, Battle Rounds, Knockouts, Playoffs and Live Performance Shows. In the coaches’ chairs, Michael is the defending champion after winning Season 26. He is joined by John, in his 10th season, and Kelsea, competing for the first time. Fox Sports and ESPN in major broadcasting change plans over live TV broadcasts if UFL strike goes ahead this weekend

There is a growing possibility that players could strike ahead of the start of the season, leaving Fox Sports and ESPN without any programming.

Michigan Panthers safety Kai Nacua told ESPN that “all options are on the table” if the two sides cant agree on a contract.

It appears that healthcare is a holdup in negotiations right now, as players want coverage year round.

According to Front Office Sports, if UFL players strike Fox will fill its slots with shows from it’s inventory.

Shows like the Masked Singer or Gordon Ramsey could fill the time left empty by the UFL.

The Houston Roughnecks are meant to host the St. Louis Battlehawks at 8 pm ET on Friday.

The San Antonio Brahmas and Arlington Renegades play at 4 pm ET on Saturday.

ESPN has games scheduled for noon and 3 pm ET on Sunday.

The network plans to fill their air time with evergreen content like 30 for 30 documentaries.

The UFL has a lot of momentum right now, yubi, getting good viewership in its maiden season.

Ex-NFL coach who won Super Bowl slams ESPN reporter for ‘stupid question’ in awkward interview during UFL game broadcast
The league averaged 816,000 viewers per game in 2024 and the championship game averaged 1.6 million viewers.

Those numbers outdrew the NHL, which averaged 504,000 viewers in the 2023-24 season.

A strike would kill the UFL’s momentum though, and many fans aren’t happy about it.

“As a UFL community we should be celebrating and rejoicing that the UFL returns tomorrow. Instead we are still talking about player strikes because some players magically want more money to appear out of thin air,” one fan said.

All options are on the table.

“I’m blocking out the outside stuff, I’m ready for this league to play this weekend. I’ll be here no matter what happens,” another fan said.

“Players should defend their beliefs, but they don’t understand how much this will hurt the league if they don’t take the field,” a third fan said.

“UFL player strike? That’s a thing? If they go on strike that league may never come back,” a fourth fan said.

“UFL player strike. I have now heard it all. Players: we are striking. Owners: League is cancelled” a fifth fan said.

A FOX NFL Sunday star confirmed his departure from the hit pregame show on live television on Monday.

On Monday morning, NFL insider and analyst Peter Schrager announced that he would be hosting NFL Network’s Good Morning Football for the last time.

While the 42-year-old didn’t confirm his next move, yubi, he directly referenced reports from The Athletic and Front Office Sports, both of which reported that he was in discussions with ESPN.

“The rumors are true. Today is my last day on Good Morning Football,” Schrager said. I end with great feelings, we’re going to celebrate today.

“I love everyone on this show. It’s all good. But this will be the last episode I’ll be on this program.

“And with a heavy heart, I’m stepping away.

“But it’s also for good reasons and for a bright future.

And hopefully we’ll all still be crossing paths and we can talk about ball elsewhere and it’ll be fine.”

GMFB star Kyle Brandt, who has co-hosted the show alongside Schrager since the program’s inception in 2016, then joked that he thought Schrager’s big announcement was going to be his latest mock draft.

“Alright, so you leaving the show, that’s a pretty big deal,” Brandt said.

“I’m going to have to adjust to that and we’re gonna have to talk about it a lot this morning, I promise you.”
‘Thinking about it for five years’, Jimmy Johnson announces Fox NFL Sunday retirement in surprise live TV statement
Brandt will now be GMFB’s last remaining original host.

The Athletic and FOS reported that a deal between Schrager and ESPN has yet to be finalized.

However, the two outlets confirmed that Schrager will contribute to ESPN’s NFL top programs and events if he secures the contract.

Schrager is expected to work on ESPN’s numerous shows, including Get Up, First Take, NFL Live, and even the upcoming 2025 NFL Draft, which is next month.

He will leave GMFB and Fox NFL Sunday, where he has served as a sideline reporter and contributor.

Schrager and Jimmy Johnson, who retired earlier this month, are no longer stars on the show, and Bradshaw could follow them in the near future.

Bradshaw shared at the Super Bowl last month that he intends to retire from his over-30-year broadcasting career after Super Bowl 63 in 2029.

“I told my wife before I left the room a while ago, I’m sitting there, I said, ‘I’ve got two years left at FOX. I’m 76,’” Bradshaw said.

“Okay, so it’s a young man’s game. I get that. Everybody wants the new.

“And so I said, ‘If we can get to the next Super Bowl, I’ll be 80. That’s, I think that’s time’.

“80 years old, that’s pushing it.”

Fox also has question marks regarding TV reporters Charissa Thompson and Erin Andrews.

Both revealed last month that their contracts with Fox expired after the 2024 NFL campaign.

    Record-breaker Sean Hannity

Sean Hannity is America’s longest-running host in cable news history.

He hit the landmark in April 2022 after racking up 25 years, six months, and 15 days (at the time) on the air.

He broke the record previously held by CNN’s Larry King.

“I am extremely grateful to Fox News Media and to our loyal, dedicated viewers whom I am proud to serve every night,” Hannity said in a statement.

The host first joined Fox’s primetime in 1996 as co-host of Hannity & Colmes.

The show pitted him against liberal host Alan Holmes – and against Larry King, who held the same timeslot on CNN.

He would eventually overtake King in the ratings battle.

Hannity has been the solo host of his self-named show at 9pm since 2009.

“Welcome back home! Where’s Sean?” someone else asked.

While the couple has remained tight-lipped about their romance, the holiday engagement confirmed long-running speculation.

Hannity proposed at their home church over Christmas.

“We are overjoyed and so thankful to our families for all their love and support during this wonderful time in our lives,” the couple told Fox News.

Hannity and Earhardt told the outlet they had “the blessing and support from their children, who couldn’t be happier.”

She previously appeared on Hannity in a recurring segment called “Ainsley Across America.”

Hannity, 63, began at Fox in 1996 as co-host of Hannity & Colmes.

By 2009, his solo show Hannity became one of the network’s most-watched programs.

The couple also stepped out together at a major political event, the inauguration of President Donald Trump as the 47th president of the United States.

During the ceremony, they posed for a rare photo, marking one of their few public moments as a couple.

Earhardt and Hannity reportedly kept their relationship under wraps for years.

No official wedding date has been shared yet, but Earhardt’s cozy family update suggests plenty to celebrate ahead.

‘The Price Is Right’ Drew Carey Tells Contestant To Ignore Husband

The Price Is Right Drew Carey - YouTube/Entertainment Tonight

A recent contestant on The Price Is Right shooed her husband away as she made risky decisions on stage. Host Drew Carey cheered her along as she continued to ignore her hubby in the audience. Did it work in her favor? Keep reading to find out.

Contestant Takes A Risk On The Price Is Right At Night

The Price Is Right often shows contestants making difficult decisions under immense pressure. They are asked to name prices as people in the audience call out to them. Typically, the daytime version of the game show involves a number of different possible prices, including trips, cars, cash, and other things.

The beloved game show recently featured an emergency room nurse, Rachel, yubi, who was attempting to win a new Range Rover. A clip of the contestant’s game appeared on social media this week, and fans couldn’t believe her massive luck.

During the ER nurse’s time on The Price Is Right, she played a more high-risk game. This is because it happened on The Price Is Right At Night. On this version of the show, there are more expensive prizes available, including a Range Rover, which is much more expensive than the rides being given away on the daytime show.

That wasn’t the only thing on the table for the contestant though. Drew Carey informed her that she could also win $20,000 in cash on top of the sweet ride.

She played “Gas Money,” which is a game on The Price Is Right where the contestant has to choose the price tags that aren’t the price of the item. For her game, she had to choose all the prices that weren’t the price of the shiny new Range Rover.

“Here’s the trick: You can not pick the car price until the very end or at all, or you win nothing at all,” the host explained, “You can accumulate money along the way and stop whenever you want.” Clarifying, Drew Carey reiterated, telling her to not pick the car price first.

Drew Carey & Fans Thrilled To See Such A Big Win

The prices listed ranged from $65,109 to $75,339. She chose one of the prices, and thankfully it wasn’t the price of the car. Instead, she was awarded $4,000 and got to keep playing. As she continued, she wound up racking up $14,000.

It came down to the final two prices: $68,825 and $72,245. Tensions were high as Drew Carey explained to her that if she chose the right price, she would win 20 grand and the Range Rover. However, if she picked the wrong one, she’d leave with nothing.

That is when Rachel completely ignored her husband in the audience and continued to play the game. She waved him off as he suggested she take the $14,000 and move on. He could be seen in the audience, looking stressed and hoping his wife made the right choice.

Luckily, the final price tag revealed the $6,000, meaning she won $20K and would get to drive the Range Rover home. Drew Carey and folks at home were thrilled that she didn’t listened to naysayers in the audience. “Yes!” Drew exclaimed.

People on social media shared in her delight as well. “Yes that was awesome she kept her faith and stayed in the race,” one person wrote. Another viewer commented, “hubby was like quit, but she was like no which one? Bb.” A third person chimed in, writing, “She certainly has big brass ones to go all the way!!! So happy for her!!!!”

[VERY SAD] ‘Jeopardy’ Ken Jennings discloses the emotional toll of being away from his family, describing the hardest part of his profession

Ken Jennings has ‘no plans’ to move to LA for Jeopardy! despite distance from family being ‘hardest part’ of hosting job

KEN Jennings has no plans to move to Los Angeles for Jeopardy! despite admitting the distance from his family is the hardest part of the job, The U.S. Sun can reveal.

The beloved host has spent a large chunk of the year down in Southern California while his wife and two kids remain in the Seattle, Washington area – where Ken was born.

Since Ken, 50, took over hosting duties from Alex Trebek after his passing in November 2020, he has had to fly down to Los Angeles weekly to film the show.

Filming for Jeopardy! typically takes place on Tuesdays and Wednesdays on the Sony Studios lot in Culver City, CA.

The show tapes fives games each day – three in the morning and two in the afternoon.

Ken reportedly has a smaller home in Los Angeles that he stays in for work but he continues to primarily reside in Washington – something he has no plans on changing anytime soon.

An insider told The U.S. Sun that behind-the-scenes at a Jeopardy! taping, Ken confessed to the audience that being away from his loved ones is the toughest part of the gig.

“Ken was honest about being away from his family being the hardest part of the job.

“He said that despite how tough it is to be away, which only gets harder the busier his schedule was, he has no plans on moving to LA.

“He was adamant that his family has built a great life in Seattle they’re happy with. LA is not for them,” the source said.

The flight from Seattle to Los Angeles is just under three hours.

Ken was born in the suburbs of Seattle in May 1974 but due to his dad’s work as an international lawyer, yubi, he lived overseas much of his childhood.

Jeopardy! contestant blames ‘unusually rough’ Daily Doubles for brutal loss and reveals her ‘one regret’ of the game
When Ken was in first grade, the family moved to South Korea and later lived in Singapore.

He returned to his home state for college where he attended the University of Washington – and later transferred to Brigham Young University.

Ken met his future wife, Mindy, at BYU and the couple wed in 2000.

They share two kids together – daughter Caitlin and son, Dylan.

Ken, who won over $4 million as a contestant on Jeopardy! before being crowned as host – primarily lives in a stunning 4,500 square foot home just outside of Seattle.

The luxury three-story house, worth over $2,900,000, has views that span over the Washington mountains and a beautiful lake.

It also includes a large patio deck with gorgeous mountain views and a relaxing spa space.

The primary bedroom includes a big, full-sized bathtub and tons of natural light from the large windows.

The lakefront estate, which was built in 2008, also boasts a media room and two full-sized kitchens.

    Jeopardy! Set Secrets

Jeopardy! fans don’t see everything behind the scenes from watching on TV. These hidden set features make the show run smoothly:

Each podium has a hidden riser so that all contestants appear to be the same height.
After each clue is read, signal lights go off around the game board, indicating players can buzz in and respond.
Buzz in too early, and you’re locked out for .25 seconds.
The podiums have a small white light in the lower left corner, which tells Ken Jennings who goes next.
Contrary to popular belief, the player with control doesn’t have a buzzer advantage on the next clue.
To the game board’s left is a scoreboard so the players can see their opponents’ scores.
All contestants must bring three outfits to the studio, but only the host and returning champion change for the next episode.
There are wardrobe rules, including restrictions on busy patterns, solid white, purple (like the background), and logos.
Five episodes are taped in a single day, and sometimes more.
The categories, players (aside from the returning champion), and Final Jeopardy! for a tape day are all drawn randomly to ensure fairness.
Female contestants are asked not to wear makeup, which is applied backstage, and don’t wear mascara because of sweat.
Contestants fill out a questionnaire, and producers select five Q&A topics for the host.
Host Ken isn’t allowed to interact with the contestants until after the game.
Players can request to sit in a chair while competing without question.

Despite his grand home, the millionaire typically lives a modest lifestyle – and even continues to  drive his Toyota Corolla to work.

A studio insider previously revealed that although glitz and glamour are not his thing, Ken is working hard to improve his fan interactions.

“Ken is a national celebrity, and has been for years, but he is decidedly not a creature of Hollywood and has purposely chosen to raise his family in Seattle instead of Los Angeles,” the source shared.

“But he isn’t a hermit and loves interacting with real Jeopardy! fans that he crosses paths with online and during his frequent commutes.

“People have misconstrued his tweets in the past, and it’s been an issue he’s had to work on.

“But he’s very good with off-camera, in-person interactions – people who meet him out in public usually come away with a smile on their face.”
