Ryan Seacrest Admits Seeing Rebranded ‘Live With Kelly and Mark’ Is ‘Strange’ (Exclusive)

The former host returned to his old stomping grounds as a guest just one month after exiting the program.

Ryan Seacrest had some feelings about being back on the Live set.

The former Live With Kelly and Ryan Host returned as a guest on the recently rebranded program on Thursday, just one month after exiting the series. Since his departure, host Kelly Ripa has been joined at the desk by her real-life husband, Mark Consuelos, yubi with the show now appropriately called Live With Kelly and Mark.

“You know, guests never told me how great it is to be a guest,” Seacrest joked in an interview with ET later that day during a visit to Children’s Hospital of Orange County, where he was catching up with patients and families in honor of the 10th anniversary of his Ryan Seacrest Foundation Studios location there.

“It was so much fun to be back,” he told ET’s Matt Cohen of his Live appearance. “Mark and Kelly are phenomenal, as you know. We’re very, very close.”

Ryan Seacrest Says It Felt 'Strange' to Return to 'Live' as a Guest After Co-Host Exit (Exclusive)

Still, Seacrest admitted that it’s been “weird” to keep up with the series as an at-home viewer.

“When the commercial comes on TV, it’s so strange to me,” he shared. “It’s also weird when I say I’m going on Live With Kelly and Mark and drinking from my Live With Kelly and Mark mug. … But the coffee tastes better from it!”

His coffee also tastes better, apparently, now that he’s able to enjoy it at a later hour. During his guest appearance on Thursday’s episode, Seacrest joked about having “all kinds of time” since dropping his early morning job.

“There’s this fascinating thing I’ve been experiencing called ‘time,’” he quipped to Ripa and Consuelos. “I don’t know if you guys know about it. The alarm chimes in the morning, it’s a soft nudge.”

He described his morning routine, saying that his alarm goes off around “11 a.m. or 12 p.m., something like that” before he enjoys his morning coffee. “I walk through the forest,” he continued, “and I look for the beans of coffee. I take them, I harvest them, I take them back, I roast them, I milk some almonds and I make a latte.”

Ryan Seacrest Returns to Live with Kelly and Ryan After Taking Day Off

Elsewhere in the broadcast, he even got down on all fours and crawled around the studio during a round of The Truth Game. While prompting Ripa and Consuelos to guess whether he’s “started an animal movement class” or if he’s “been studying dendrology, the study of trees” in his newfound abundance of free time, Seacrest took to the floor and walked on his hands and knees before turning around to hop like a frog.

(The answer, as it turned out, was that he’s been studying trees.)

The 48-year-old media mogul is still managing to keep plenty busy with his other day jobs, including hosting American Idol, with a star-studded three-hour season finale set to air live coast-to-coast on Sunday at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.

But his most rewarding job is with his foundation.

“This is a place where tough stuff can happen,” he said of the numerous children’s hospitals where he’s built broadcasting studios. “You know, there are a lot of different things happening with patients all the time. Some are here for a little while, some are here for a long time, some keep coming back, and this room is where none of that matters. This room is where they can really forget about what’s happening.”

In a few month’s time, there will be a total of 14 Ryan Seacrest Foundation Studios in children’s hospitals across the country. Seacrest says he hopes to create a network between them all so that patients can broadcast to each other in different parts of the U.S.

“This is a place where the patients come and they smile, they laugh, they entertain each other,” he shared. “They meet celebrities, they get to program content, they get to broadcast it to the other patients that can’t come down. They play games, they win prizes. It’s the heartbeat of the hospital. This is a destination, it’s a place they want to hang out, and that was the goal.”

Things are not looking good for Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest at Live. According to Life & Style, yubi the duo’s daytime talk show has been experiencing sinking ratings in the last few months — and Kelly totally blames Ryan for not resonating with her loyal audience.

“The show is a wreck at the moment… Ryan is just not connecting with daytime viewers.

He appeals to a much younger, music-oriented audience. Kelly blames the show. She feels [execs] made a huge miscalculation bringing him on to Live,” an insider recently revealed.

Since Ryan, 42, officially joined Live as Kelly’s new co-host on May 1, 2017, the show’s ratings have reportedly dipped 23 percent compared to the same time period last year.

Viewership again dropped 12 percent one week after the excitement of Ryan’s addition to the show faded.

“For the show to not be a huge hit is a blow to Ryan’s ego. It felt very safe adding Ryan to Live. No one at the network thought that adding him was a huge risk,” sources told Life & Style. Though their program is experiencing a loss of fans, Kelly, 46, and Ryan still seem to be getting along on-camera. “Kelly and Ryan like and have a high regard for each other. They’re not angry with one another. It’s just been a real TV marriage mismatch,” an insider said.

Unfortunately, the news that Ryan is joining the upcoming American Idol reboot has caused some drama behind-the-scenes at Live as Kelly is reportedly not thrilled that her co-host is taking on yet another gig. “She didn’t know about the_ American Idol_ revival,” a source close to Kelly said. “When she found out she was truly rattled.”

‘The Voice’ Coach Kelsea Ballerini Shares Huge News About Season 27

Since announcing her gig as one of the new coaches next season, fans are counting down the days.

preview for “The Voice” Coaches: Past and Present

Season 26 of The Voice is still in the Battle Rounds, but we can’t help getting excited looking ahead at Season 27 — especially after one of the coaches made a major announcement on social media.

Country singer Kelsea Ballerini, yubi who will be stepping into the special red chair for the very first time as a coach on Season 27, shared an update about filming for next season in the caption under a gallery of photos she recently posted on Instagram.

She posted a variety of pictures of her latest travels, behind-the-scenes looks at her working on music, spending time with her boyfriend Chase Stokes, and recent red carpet outfits … but what got Voice fans’ attention was a clip of her already taping the next season.

In the clip, you can see Kelsea and returning coach Adam Levine in the background filming some sort of promo video behind her, with her teasing him when he accidentally messes up.

In the caption, Kelsea wrote, “Season 27 of The Voice is wrapped until we go to the lives in the spring and ooooweeee is it one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life I can’t wait for you to see it all.” Fans of course were ecstatic to get a sneak peak of the “Patterns” songwriter getting started behind-the-scenes of the NBC singing competition.

“Cannot wait to see you and Adam’s humor collide,” one person wrote in the comments. “I can’t wait to see you on The Voice when it premieres in March next year ❤️ I am excited for this new album…,” someone else said. “I’m sad bc I thought the current season of The Voice had you as a coach but now I have to wait an entire season just to see you 😢,” a different person commented. One individual chimed in, “YAY Kelsea I can’t wait to see you on The Voice!!!!!!!”

Kelsea has previously appeared on the show in smaller capacities, including serving as an advisor for Kelly Clarkson‘s team in Season 16 and even taking over for Kelly as coach of her team when the American Idol winner fell ill. However, this will be the first season where she’ll have her very own red chair and her own team.

In addition to Kelsea and Adam, season 27 will see John Legend return after taking a season off as well as Michael Bublé returning, who is currently a first-time coach in season 26 (and already very very loved by fans!). Although no premiere date has been announced, it’s confirmed that season 27 is slotted to debut sometime in spring 2025, and as always on Monday and Tuesday nights at 8 p.m. on NBC or the streaming app Peacock.

Even before its October 18 debut, Reba McEntire‘s new NBC sitcom Happy’s Place has been giving Reba fans plenty to get excited about. Now Steve Howey has reunited with McEntire and Melissa Peterman for the taping of a future episode.

In a behind-the-scenes look, Peterman shared a selfie of herself alongside Howie and two attendees Peterman affectionately called out in the Instagram caption where she shared the images. “The more the merrier. I mean Happier!! Loved having @ruby_aviles and @adriananikkole at Happy’s Place last night! ❤️ you both!! So glad you could come and be part of the fun! ET also offered a closer look at Howey’s reunion with McEntire and Peterman in a behind-the-scenes interview during which they reminisced about how many years it’s been since Reba was on the air.

McEntire and Peterman also commented on whether they watched Shameless or not as Howey memorably portrayed Kevin in the since-concluded Showtime comedy.

As previously revealed, Howey will play a character named Danny in a forthcoming holiday episode.

Danny is a business owner that Peterman’s Gabby meets at a dog park. In an attempt to impress him, Gabby has pretended that she’s Bobbie (McEntire), because she thought it would make her seem more interesting.

The only catch is, that he finds her so interesting, that he ends up wanting to hold his holiday party at the Tavern, which is sure to stir up some trouble for Gabby and her fibs.

This upcoming holiday reunion for Howey and his Reba colleagues is certainly exciting and leaves us wondering which other Reba vets could pop into Happy’s Place down the line.

Fans will have to tune in to find out as the series kicks off on NBC and let us know who you hope to see on the new comedy this fall in the comments, below.

Another Reba reunion is taking place on Happy’s Place with the upcoming episode, “Sisters Ink,” airing Friday, February 21.

After previously hosting Steve Howey, Reba McEntire and Melissa Peterman are reuniting with fellow former costar Christopher Rich who is stepping in to play a tattoo artist named Maverick. In the episode, Isabella (Belissa Escobedo) gifts Bobbie (McEntire) matching sister mugs, and Bobbie feels compelled to think of an equally thoughtful gift.

The brainstorming process and presentation lead Isabella to expect that she and Bobbie will be getting matching tattoos, and presumably, shenanigans will ensue. Meanwhile, Steve (Pablo Castelblanco) and Takoda (Tokala Black Elk) will investigate where Emmett (Rex Linn) has been sneaking off to when he’s not in the kitchen at Happy’s Place.

For those who may need a refresher on the Reba of it all, Rich previously starred in the series as Brock Hart, the ex-husband of McEntire’s titular character, he memorably had an affair with Peterman’s character Barbara Jean. This marks one of Rich’s first major returns to television since suffering from a stroke in 2018.

“For him to have the courage to come do this and make everybody feel so comfortable… he did have a stroke and he’s back acting and that gives such inspiration to other people. You can do it,” McEntire told Entertainment Tonight about the reunion and Rich’s return to acting.

“I’m gonna get to the finish line. I may have to limp across it, but I’m getting there,” Rich told the outlet about delivering his performance for the episode.

“There’s magic here… and when you get to play with people that you have such a shorthand… you don’t have to explain stuff. You know that we’re gonna get each other. And also, I’m not gonna lie, it’s fun when the audience just gets so thrilled and tickled to see us all back together again,” Peterman added of the reunion.

‘Happy’s Place’ Finale: Showrunner on Bobbie & Emmett Set Up for Future Romance (Exclusive)

    Spoiler Alert

[Warning: The below contains MAJOR spoilers for Happy’s Place Season 1 Episode 18, “Alarm Bells.”]

Happy’s Place may be ending for the season, but it’s going out with a bang of sorts as the finale installment, “Alarm Bells,” sets the stage for romance between Bobbie (Reba McEntire) and the titular bar’s in-house cook, Emmett (Rex Linn).

As a real-life couple, McEntire and Linn certainly have the right chemistry to make this pairing work, and while Bobbie’s sister Isabella (Belissa Escobedo) encourages the arrangement, the rest of the Happy’s Place team works against it, claiming at first that Bobbie and Emmett could never be a thing before admitting the duo are definitely into each other.

The fear is that allowing Bobbie and Emmett to get together, could upset the balance of the team’s metaphorical ecosystem. But what sparks the debate, to begin with? When security concerns are raised at Bobbie and Isabella’s place, Emmett offers to help, but Bobbie’s stubbornness leads to a competition of who is a better protector.

When they turn to a shooting game at the local arcade, viewers get a peek into the simmering romantic tension as Emmett attempts to teach Bobbie how to shoot in the game. While no declarations are made, nor dates scheduled, Emmett asks if he can look in on Bobbie to make sure she’s safe from time to time, the implication being that he’ll be dropping in for visits here and there at her home.

With a second season to look forward to, showrunner Kevin Abbott notes, “The season finale was always going to be about that relationship,” but he adds that in the original vision he had in mind the romance “was going to be further than this.”

Instead, he’s holding it back for future episodes, and Abbott teases that it’s something “I actually love, that I don’t think anybody’s going to see coming… So that’s coming up in Season 2.” As for exploring this romance between Bobbie and Emmett, Abbott, who previously collaborated with McEntire on Reba, acknowledges that she may have had her relationships on that series, but that they were often failures.

“For whatever reason, Reba can do almost anything, but she couldn’t do that,” Abbott says of her onscreen relationships in the previous show, “and it used to bug the heck out of me.”

Now with Emmett, there’s a chance viewers could see longevity in their relationship. “Before we had [cast] Rex, I had incorporated Emmett as a possible love interest for Bobbie, hoping… and then when Rex came into the picture it was [like] maybe this is the key we’ve been missing all along.”

As Abbott puts it, “The sparks you see in the season finale for me are just delightful and wonderful.” But when it comes to mixing work and real life, he admits, “There’s a certain amount of trepidation… [but] right now it is working marvelously, the two of them. Rex could not be more fun to work with.”

According to Abbott, Linn is quite different from his curmudgeonly onscreen persona as Emmett as he says “[They] are not the same character at all. Emmett’s a man of few words. Rex will talk your ear off and he is just this lovely man who’s not grouchy or anything.”

Bobbie has Isabella to thank for the romance because, without her intervention, she’d still be dancing around the idea of Emmett rather than facing him head-on. “Isabella’s role is to open her up, to make her take risks,” Abbott says of the character’s purpose of widening Bobbie’s scope of the world.

Likewise, Bobbie is meant to provide Isabella with a home base support. “They will each feed something important in the other, and we’ll get into a lot more of that in Season 2,” Abbott promises. Stay tuned for updates on Season 2 as it takes shape and let us know what you think of the Season 1 finale in the comments section, below.

The beloved 1990s series about a semi-famous family in Detroit starred Tim Allen and made household names out of its child actors

Kids of the ’90s will never forget that unique theme song: whistles, electric guitar and that unmistakable Tim Allen grunt.

Home Improvement was a primetime mainstay, running on ABC from 1991 to 1999 with Tim Allen’s Tim Taylor at the helm as host of home series Tool Time, and child actors Jonathan Taylor Thomas, Zachery Ty Bryan and Taran Noah Smith rising as the series’ popularity grew. The show earned three Emmy nominations for outstanding comedy series and Allen often talks about his desire to do a reboot.

In the years since it ended, many of its stars have retreated from the spotlight, but the love for the sitcom remains.

Here, catch up with the stars of Home Improvement, then and now.

    Tim Allen as Tim Taylor

Tim Allen was best known as a comedian when he stepped into the role of Tim “The Tool Man” Taylor on Home Improvement. But the work never stopped coming afterward: the Golden Globe Award winner has starred in the Santa Clause franchise, Jungle 2 Jungle, Joe Somebody, Wild Hogs, Last Man Standing and perhaps most famously, the Toy Story movies.

In a 2020 chat with Kelly Clarkson, he said people on the street still ask him to grunt (even cops!) in a nod to Taylor’s trademark.

His earlier years weren’t so sunny: after a 1978 arrest for cocaine possession at a Michigan airport, Allen spent two years in jail. He also opened up about his alcohol addiction in a 2019 interview on CBS Sunday Morning. Now, he has been sober for more than 20 years. “It doesn’t happen overnight,” he told Clarkson. “It’s a day to day thing.”

Allen’s love for Home Improvement continues to run deep: he showed CBS that he kept the Tool Time set and in 2018, told ET he was “very interested” in bringing the series back. He actually played Taylor again on a 2021 episode of Last Man Standing, and welcomed Home Improvement costars to the show during its run.

Allen, now 70, is a father to two daughters, one with ex-wife Laura Deibel and one with current wife Jane Hajduk.

    Patricia Richardson as Jill Taylor

A theater veteran with some TV work under her belt, Patricia Richardson joined the cast as Tim’s strong and steady wife Jill — taking over for the first actress chosen for the part, Frances Fisher.

“I didn’t audition for it. They just came and said, ‘We want you to start tomorrow,’ ” Richardson recalled to ET in 2020. “I didn’t know anything [about the show]. I’d never heard of [Tim]. Immediately, I loved him. Everything that we dealt with in terms of marriage and family and kids … were just really classic, ongoing deals. [Tim] wanted that show to go on forever.”

Richardson went on to earn four Emmy nominations and two Golden Globe Award nominations for her work. The actress next tackled parts on Strong Medicine, The West Wing and Allen’s latest series, Last Man Standing. She also earned an Independent Spirit Award nomination for her role in Ulee’s Gold.

Richardson, 73, has three grown children with ex-husband Ray Baker.

Zachery Ty Bryan as Brad Taylor

The actor behind oldest Taylor sibling Brad, Zachery Ty Bryan had a few television roles on his résumé when he joined the series. In a 2018 Access Hollywood interview, he recalled growing up on set around his TV family, in the same orbit as other child actors.

“We were like brothers. We either loved or hated each other,” Bryan said of the dynamic. “I remember Disney was really good to us at the time,” he added. “They gave us a full basketball court, a gaming room. We could get a lot of our extra energy out.”

In the years since, he’s continued working steadily in TV and film, with parts on Smallville, Veronica Mars and Boston Public and the movies First Kid and The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift. He also moved into producing, including on the films Skin and The Kindergarten Teacher.

However, the father of seven, now 42 years old, has also faced some personal battles. A lengthy 2023 piece by The Hollywood Reporter detailed ups and downs with cryptocurrency and allegations of fraud.

On Feb. 17, 2024, he was taken into custody by La Quinta, California, police around 2:30 a.m. on a felony DUI charge, as well as a misdemeanor for alleged contempt of court. In July 2023, Bryan was arrested and charged with fourth-degree felony assault, third-degree robbery and harassment after an hours-long dispute with a woman was reported to police. He was ordered to serve seven days in jail after pleading guilty to the felony assault charge while the second count was dismissed as a term of a “negotiated resolution.”

In 2020, Bryan was arrested on a similar charge for allegedly strangling a woman, whom he later confirmed to be his fiancée Johnnie Faye Cartwright. His sentencing included 36 months of “bench probation” and participating in a program called Bridges2Safety.

“Zach is a great kid who has grown into a complex man,” former TV dad Allen told The Hollywood Reporter in 2023. “All you can do is step aside and let somebody go through their process.”

Jonathan Taylor Thomas as Randy Taylor

The heartthrob of his time, Jonathan Taylor Thomas played middle Taylor child Randy, leaving the series before its end to attend school. (To make it work on TV, his character moved to Costa Rica.)

“I’d been going nonstop since I was 8 years old,” he told PEOPLE in 2013. “I wanted to go to school, to travel and have a bit of a break.”

His career started with some TV and voice work before Home Improvement launched his star, leading to major roles in The Lion King, Man of the House, Tom and Huck and Wild America, among others.

In the nearly a decade away from the limelight through the early 2000s, save for some bit TV parts, he attended Harvard, Columbia and St. Andrew’s University in Scotland. He returned to Los Angeles to try his hand at writing and directing, though did get back in front of the camera with Allen for a guest spot on Last Man Standing.

“I never took the fame too seriously,” Thomas added to PEOPLE in 2013. “It was a great period in my life, but it doesn’t define me. When I think back on the time, I look at it with a wink. I focus on the good moments I had, not that I was on a lot of magazine covers.”

The 42-year-old has managed to keep his personal life under wraps; he was last publicly photographed on a walk with his dogs in 2021.

Taran Noah Smith as Mark Taylor

Home Improvement was pretty much the beginning and finale of Taran Noah Smith’s acting career. Just 7 when the show started, he portrayed youngest Taylor son Mark until the series ended in 1999.

Two years later, he sued his parents over the money he made as a minor, alleging they were squandering his trust fund. His parents denied the accusation and at 18, he gained access to the money. He and his mother later cowrote a book about navigating childhood fame: Stardom Happens: Nurturing Your Child in the Entertainment Business.

In 2012, Smith was arrested for DUI and drug possession, according to a TMZ report. He was later “sentenced to a 12-hour program for the DUI offense, and a 6-month drug diversion program for the weed charge,” TMZ reported at the time. He was placed on three years probation, as well.

A LinkedIn profile for a Taran Smith, 39, lists a current occupation of sea recovery technician at SpaceX. Smith was married as a teen but is now divorced.

Richard Karn played Al Borland, Tim Taylor’s punching bag of a Tool Time costar. Home Improvement marked the actor’s big break; he went on to a slew of movie and TV performances — including the Air Bud series, the show Ctrl and most recently, PEN15 — and hosted game shows including Bingo America and Family Feud.

He and Allen have remained close through the years and recently reunited for the History Channel home workshop show Assembly Required and its follow-up, More Power.

“I wanted to have Richard a part of this because it seemed like a reality extension of what Tool Time really was, where I add more power to it, I break something, he’d be the reality side of it, and it was a good fit,” Allen explained of Assembly Required at the time. “This [show] is improv for 12 hours a day and I’m out of my mind. It’s just like Al Borland and Tim Taylor.”

Karn, 68, has one grown child with wife Tudi Roche.

Pamela Anderson had been busy with TV guest spots before landing the role of Lisa “the Tool Time girl” on Home Improvement. She stayed for the first two seasons of the series before famously moving on to Baywatch.

In her 2023 memoir Love, Pamela, she alleged that Allen flashed her on the first day of filming as she walked through the hallway.

“He said it was only fair, because he had seen me naked. Now we’re even. I laughed uncomfortably,” she wrote. In a statement to Variety, Allen denied the allegations.

Baywatch truly launched Anderson info the stratosphere, with roles on V.I.P. and Stacked and dozens of movies following. She also appeared in the 2017 Baywatch movie.

Now 56, Anderson has two grown sons with her ex-husband Tommy Lee: Brandon and Dylan.

After grabbing a few bit parts on popular sitcoms, model Debbe Dunning stepped in for Anderson beginning in 1992 as Heidi “the Tool Time girl,” staying through the end of the show’s run. She popped up on Baywatch, too, in addition to Sabrina the Teenage Witch and The Jamie Foxx Show, though has largely stayed out of the spotlight since the early 2000s.

Dunning, now 57, has three children with her ex-husband, volleyball player Steve Timmons. Per her Instagram account, she appears at fan events from time to time and is hopeful for that rumored Home Improvement reboot.

Before joining Home Improvement, theater actor Earl Hindman was best known for his work as Lt. Bob Reid on the series Ryan’s Hope, which ran from 1975 to 1989.

As Wilson Wilson Jr. on Home Improvement, he was actually never fully seen, instead mostly hiding behind the fence to give Tim Taylor neighborly wisdom. He died in 2003 at 61 years old following a lung cancer diagnosis. He was survived by his wife and siblings.

Allen later told EW that “Earl meant the world to me and everyone at Home Improvement.”

Tim “The Toolman” Taylor and the rest of the Home Improvement gang are headed for Netflix!

All 204 episodes from the hit ’90s sitcom’s eight-season run will be available on the streaming platform for the first time beginning Feb. 1, according to What’s on Netflix. The series, which starred Tim Allen, is the last of 14 Disney-owned shows to join the Netflix library for an 18-month window as part of an agreement with Disney Entertainment, first reported by Deadline in December 2023. As part of the non-exclusive licensing deal, Home Improvement will continue to stream on Disney+ as well.

The show followed Allen’s Tim Taylor’s antics on both his home improvement show Tool Time and at home with his family, consisting of wife Jill (Patricia Richardson) and sons Brad (Zachery Ty Bryan), Randy (Jonathan Taylor Thomas) and Mark (Taran Noah Smith).

During its original run on ABC from 1991 to 1999, yubi Home Improvement was a bona fide hit, earning multiple Emmy and Golden Globe nominations and making major stars of its cast, including Allen, Thomas and Pamela Anderson.

In recent years, Allen, 71, has fueled rumors of a reboot of the series, telling Entertainment Tonight in 2018 that other cast members had told him that it “would be cool to do it years later, like Roseanne.”

Allen even reprised his Home Improvement role on a 2021 episode of his show Last Man Standing, which Taylor and Richardson have both appeared on.

Last year, however, Richardson, 73, who scored four Emmy nominations for her role as Jill, shut down the idea of a Home Improvement revival.

“I’d hear that he was coming out publicly and saying this stuff about how everyone was on board to do a Home Improvement reunion,” she said of Allen on the Back to the Best podcast in April. “But he never asked me, and he never asked Jonathan [Taylor Thomas] who I talk to. So I called Jonathan one day and I said, ‘Has he asked you about this?’ And he went, ‘No. Why is he going around telling everyone that we’re all on board when he hasn’t talked to you or me?’ I think that’s weird.”

“It would be very weird,” she said of a reboot. “It makes me sad to think about it. I think — we did it. We did it well. We quit at the right time before it got really bad. And it should just stay as it is.”

Richardson also noted that neither Smith nor Thomas act anymore, while Bryan, 43, has been arrested repeatedly in recent years. In 2020, the former teen heartthrob was arrested for allegedly strangling his girlfriend, pleading guilty to two domestic violence misdemeanor charges. He was arrested again in 2023 and charged with fourth-degree felony assault as well as third-degree robbery and misdemeanor harassment, again pleading guilty to felony assault in the fourth degree and serving a seven-day jail sentence.

He has been arrested twice in the past year on DUI charges, and on Jan. 1, Bryan was once again arrested on charges of second-degree domestic violence.

Meanwhile Anderson, who appeared in the first two seasons of Home Improvement as Lisa “the Tool Time girl,” alleged in her 2023 memoir Love, Pamela that Allen flashed his penis at her on her first day on set.

“I walked out of my dressing room, and Tim was in the hallway in his robe,” Anderson wrote. “He opened his robe and flashed me quickly — completely naked underneath. He said it was only fair, because he had seen me naked.”

Allen has denied the allegation, writing in a statement that “it never happened. I would never do such a thing.”

Kat Dennings and Seann William Scott are getting candid about what it’s like working with their legendary costar Tim Allen.

Ahead of the Wednesday, March 19 season finale of their ABC sitcom Shifting Gears, Dennings and Scott spoke with PEOPLE about what Allen, 71, is really like on set. Before meeting the Toy Story actor in real life, Dennings, 38, knew from her years of working in Hollywood to keep her expectations in check.

“I have learned through experience that you just never really know how someone’s going to be, especially when they have such a long-running career,” she tells PEOPLE. “Sometimes they’re exactly what you think, sometimes they’re the complete opposite.”

Thankfully, in Allen’s case, the comedian proved to be “kind” and “welcoming” to everyone on set. “I was very happily surprised,” Dennings says.

The 2 Broke Girls alum also shared that Allen loves to make the crew and his costars laugh. “He has the funny bone of a 9-year-old boy,” she adds, noting that her TV dad often “walks into walls” and “bangs something and scares everybody.”

“He just has a blast,” Dennings says.

As for Scott, 48, working with Allen has been a special experience because he reminds the American Pie actor of his late father.

“He kind of reminds me of my dad, actually,” he says. “My dad passed away a while ago, you know, but even one of my brothers who loves the show sent me a text. He’s like, ‘Tim really reminds me of dad,’ and I was like, ‘Yeah, you know, it’s true. He does.’”

Beyond reminding him of his father, Scott was impressed by how genuinely “fun” Allen is when they’re working together.

“I think when you’ve had that much success, there’s a good chance somebody could come in and not be as fun to work with and maybe just be kind of a jerk,” Scott tells PEOPLE.

Instead, Allen is “just funny and always cracking jokes,” according to Scott. He adds, “He’s definitely a guy’s guy, you know?”

In the season 1 finale of Shifting Gears, Allen’s Matt finds himself in the tricky position of trying to stay neutral as his daughter Riley (Dennings) tries to decide between reuniting with her ex or forging a new path for her and her kids. ABC hasn’t renewed the comedy for season 2 yet, but Scott and Dennings are both eager to continue exploring their characters for years to come.

“I just hope there’s a next season. I don’t care what we do … I just want to play around again,” Scott says, as Dennings adds, “I agree. I second that.”

‘The Masked Singer’: Who Is Mad Scientist Monster?

Mad Scientist Monster on 'The Masked Singer' | YouTube

This week, The Masked Singer Season 13 introduced its Group C contestants. During this Week 7 episode, one singer was unmasked and went home with the other four moving on to next week, which will see one more leave the show. Cherry Blossom sang “Let’s Get Loud” by Jennifer Lopez and lost. Candace Cameron Bure revealed herself as the singer, and the other four live to perform another week.

Those four singers include Yorkie, Stud Muffin, Nessy, and Mad Scientist Monster. After the performances, many fans were curious about the identity of Mad Scientist Monster, a competitor who had a clear country music voice. Here is what we know after the performance and clues on The Masked Singer.

Mad Scientist Monster’s Performance & Clues On The Masked Singer

This week on The Masked Singer, Mad Scientist Monster sang the Matchbox Twenty song “Unwell.” While this song is from a rock band, the singer’s voice had an unmistakable country vibe, and he delivered a unique country music performance. This led to many people wondering who could be under that mask.

The costume itself was interesting. It consisted of a green lab coat and a purple monster’s face. He also had a tie, a blank name badge, and green goggles above his eyes. This led to the judges making their guesses after his performance.

Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg thought it could be American Idol judge Luke Bryan. Ken Jeong thought it was Luke Combs, and Robin Thicke guessed former The Voice coach Blake Shelton.

That leads to the clues. The singer said he is a mad scientist because he is always experimenting and reinventing himself. He said he was on the path to becoming “the best in my field.” His skills drove the “scouts” wild. Everyone wanted to recruit him to “their team.” However, when he made it, things went bad, and he was “sidelined.” He said his reaction changed the world, and he found his purpose.

The visual clues included a baseball speed sensor and a fish tank (via YouTube).

Who Is Mad Scientist Monster On The Masked Singer

We don’t believe Mad Scientist Monster on The Masked Singer is any of the country music singers mentioned above. Instead, we think it is Brett Young. This is because of the scouts, teams, and sidelined clues in his package.

Brett Young was a baseball player. He earned a scholarship to college at Mississippi, and the MLB scouted him. He then went to Fresno State but suffered an injury that sidelined him. This led to his getting his start as a country singer. As for that fish tank, one of his biggest hit songs is “Catch.”

However, some people on social media disagree and have ideas of their own:

“My mom and I were all over the place initially…. but I think for now we’re going with Brian Kelley.”
“I know it’s not usually singers that go on the show. But he sounds like Cooper Alan.”
“I can’t tell if I’m hearing Joe Nichols or Alan Jackson.”

Joe Nichols is another name that a lot of people are throwing around and it does sound like him.
