Wendy Williams Fate To Be Decided In Jury Trial And Neurologist

    Wendy Williams | YouTube

Wendy Williams continues to fight for her independence and freedom. After losing her rights and having her bank accounts frozen, Wendy was placed in a nursing home for dementia patients. She received a guardian who claimed all Wendy’s money had suddenly disappeared. Wendy has done a few interviews and is fighting for her freedom, and it sounds like she is getting a chance.

Wendy is getting a jury trial to determine if she needs to continue to be forced to remain in the nursing home, isolated from all her family and friends. Here is what you need to know about the latest news.

Wendy Williams Getting Trial As She Fights For Freedom

Wendy Williams has a “health care advocate” named Ginalisa Monterroso. She recently spoke about updates on the former talk show host’s fight for independence. Ginalisa said Wendy, 60, is “excited” to get a jury trial to determine whether her guardianship should be terminated.

Wendy’s guardian, Sabrina E. Morrissey, has continued to claim that Wendy has dementia. She also claims it is getting worse and that Williams needs to be kept in the memory care facility. However, after the recent interviews and a trip to the hospital, a judge ordered her to be removed from the memory care unit. She moved to a more open and free part of the nursing home.

Wendy has since been able to leave and have dinner with friends, which hasn’t happened in a long time. Now, she can prove she doesn’t need to be in the nursing home. A new test by a neurologist is required to determine if the last tests and Morrissey’s claims are correct or if Wendy was misdiagnosed. Then, a jury trial will decide her fate.

What Is Next For Wendy Williams?

Wendy has smartly mostly stopped talking about Sabrina E. Morrissey. Since she has Ginalisa Monterroso on her side, her advocate is speaking for her. Ginalisa tells people not to believe everything they have heard about Wendy.
    Wendy Williams- YouTubeWendy Williams- YouTube
“This is something that she’s been wanting to say, and she just can’t wait to get her story out,” Ginalisa said (via PEOPLE). “And at the end of the day, she’s going to have a trial by jury, and it will be the jury who will be making the decision.”

This comes a couple of weeks after Wendy did an interview, claiming that neither Morrissey nor the judge in her case are “like her.” She said she wants people who understand her to decide her fate.

According to Ginalisa, additional testing from “an independent neurologist” is the next step before a trial is scheduled for Wendy Williams’s battle. This also comes after a hospital trip. While there, a “mini assessment” was done. Wendy “passed” the hospital mental capacity exams.

What are your thoughts on Wendy Williams and her battle for independence, finally getting a chance for a jury trial to determine her fate? Do you think this will have a happy ending for the former talk show host? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section below.

There could be a MAJOR SHAKEUP on late-night TV as Jimmy Fallon Is LEAVING ‘The Tonight Show’

Jimmy Fallon Reveals If He Is Leaving ‘The Tonight Show’

    Jimmy Fallon | YouTube

With the news that Jimmy Kimmel might be leaving his late-night talk show, there is now news about Jimmy Fallon. Both hosts have expiring contracts, and it seemed like there could be a major shakeup on late-night TV. More so, Seth Meyers just signed a new extension through 2028, and Fallon had a decision to make.

Here is what you need to know about Fallon’s future on late-night television.

Jimmy Fallon Reveals Future With The Tonight Show

Jimmy Fallon has been on The Tonight Show as its host since 2014, and with this being his 10-year anniversary as the host, Fallon’s contract was coming to an end. With the Jimmy Kimmel rumors that he would be leaving his talk show at the end of his contract, Fallon’s name was next on the lips of talk show fans.

However, unlike Kimmel, Fallon has already decided to stick it out. He just signed a new extension to remain with NBCUniversal and host The Tonight Show through at least 2028. NBCUniversal Media Group chairman Mark Lazarus released a statement, saying it was a privilege to watch Fallon as the host, and they want to “see what innovations he and the incredible staff will deliver in the years to come.” (via yubi TVLine).

As expected, Fallon responded humorously. He released a statement that was almost word-for-word, the same as Lazarus’, but written from a first-person perspective on his career and the future. He finished with, “No, I’m not changing my quote. Tell Mark to change his.”

Fallon replaced Jay Leno on The Tonight Show, making him its sixth host. Steve Allen debuted the show and worked as its host from 1954 to 1957. Jack Parr then served as its host from 1957 to 1962. Johnny Carson made it the most-watched late-night talk show in history from 1962 to 1992.

Leno followed Carson from 1992 to 2009. Conan O’Brien then came on from 2009 to 2010, but major controversy occurred, and Leno returned from 2010 to 2014. Before The Tonight Show, Fallon made his name on Saturday Night Live.

Other Talk Show Hosts Futures In Question

The biggest name to be possibly departing late-night television is Jimmy Kimmel. His son was born with heart disease, and he has had to have multiple open-heart surgeries and is only eight. Understandably, Kimmel might leave the show at the end of his contract to spend more time with his son.

As aforementioned, Seth Meyers signed a new extension to stay with NBC on Late Night With Seth Meyers through 2028 (although his show is dropping its house band).

However, Jimmy Kimmel’s deal ends in 2025. Stephen Colbert on CBS is signed through 2026, as is Bill Maher and John Oliver on HBO. Taylor Tomlinson on CBS just had her show, Afer Midnight, renewed for the 2024-25 TV season.

Are you happy to know that Jimmy Fallon is sticking around for a few more years? More so, what do you think of his hosting duties? Let us know in the comments below.

[VERY SAD] CBS has CANCELED late night SHOW. The announcement saw the network’s late night lineup immediately halved

Mystery as CBS cancels only female-fronted late night show as host shares strange excuse

CBS has canceled late night show After Midnight after barely a year.

Host Taylor Tomlinson said in a statement she was leaving the show to return to her ‘first passion’ of stand-up comedy.

The announcement saw the network’s late night lineup immediately halved – leaving behind just The Late Show With Stephen Colbert.

Tomlinson, viewed by many as a rising star, mentioned Colbert in her statement. He had been one of After Midnight’s executive producers.

He touched on Tomlinson’s exit toward the end of his show Wednesday night, framing the host as ‘incredibly funny.’

‘Unfortunately, After Midnight is going to end in June,’ he added, sparking some ‘awws’ from the studio audience.

Colbert went on to emphasize how the development had been Tomlinson’s decision – one he supported.

His words came at a point he usually reserved to promote After Midnight, which, in a crowded field of shows manned by men, yubi had been the only female-fronted program of its kind.

‘Hosting “After Midnight” has genuinely been the experience of a lifetime, and I’ll be forever grateful for the opportunity to be part of this incredible journey,’ Tomlinson, 31, said.

‘Though it was an extremely tough decision, I knew I had to return to my first passion and return to stand-up touring full-time.

‘I appreciate CBS, Stephen Colbert, the producers and the entire “After Midnight” staff and crew for all the love, support and unforgettable memories.’

While no other reasons were provided, Colbert offered his input before going on the air.

‘I want to thank CBS for their constant support and invaluable partnership on “After Midnight,” and the whole staff for their amazing dedication,’ the longtime late night host said.

‘While we were excited and grateful for our third season to start in the fall, we respect Taylor’s decision.’

That decision, meanwhile, remains mired in mystery, leaving the shows’ season finale to serve as a conclusion for the entire series.

It premiered in January of 2024, after the end of The Late Late Show With James Corden.

Corden’s show had been a surprise hit for the recently ratings-challenged network, and he too left of his own accord.

Craig Ferguson, several years before, did the same – citing the heavy workload that comes from the job.

His forebear, the legendary Tom Snyder, did so as well, after moving to CBS along with longtime friend David Letterman to start the show – then known as The Late Late Show.

It was the spiritual successor of Snyder’s old program on NBC, the more cerebral Tomorrow Show, which kicked the late, late night era off in 1973.

More than half a century later, the format as a whole is struggling.

Late last year, the program once manned by the late Johnny Carson, Jimmy Fallon’s Tonight Show, cut its schedule to just four days a week.

Both shows had been spiritual successors to Tom Snyder's old program on NBC, The Tomorrow Show, which kicked the late, late night era off in 1973. He brought a new version of the show to CBS shortly after David Letterman jumped ship from NBC

Advents such as streaming have only made things worse, as well as additional ratings declines seen since the election.

As it stands, Greg Gutfeld‘s late night-styled Fox alternative is attracting the largest average nightly audience of the pack – something unthinkable a decade ago.

The pronounced shift in audience shows who’s watching network TV and how millions of Americans are fed-up with the relatively recent phenomenon of politicized content.

Such content was seen in spades during Trump’s first term; a trend that’s since resumed with the politician’s second presidency.

CBS Evenings’ O’Donnell suddenly stepping away from her highly prized job, meanwhile, left the long-popular program to retool and introduce a new two-anchor format.

A former CBS exec told the Mail last month the move was immediately seen ‘as a disaster’ internally, after it was met with a stark drop in ratings.

The deviation from tradition – since rectified with a less magazine style format – was also accompanied by a further high-profile exit with the sudden ‘resignation’ of CBS President of Editorial and Newsgathering Adrienne Roark, just seven months after she had accepted the position.

A source told DailyMail.com that she was actually fired.

Drew Carey took over as host of “The Price Is Right” and hopes he’s there for life.

“I’m not going anywhere,” he told “Entertainment Tonight” of the job he took over from longtime host Bob Barker in 2007.

“I think Bob made a mistake by retiring. I’m not gonna make that same mistake. As long as my heart is ticking and they want me to be on the show, I think I’m gonna do ‘The Price is Right.’ I just love it,” Carey added. “I think I was made for it.”

When Will Drew Carey Retire from The Price Is Right?

Carey had great things to say about Barker, who died in 2023 of Alzheimer’s disease.

“He was so good at this,” Carey said. “He was so good at relating to people and getting them to be relaxed and be themselves. You watch his demeanor and his attitude. He never seemed stressed.”

He was also asked if he has any game show advice for Ryan Seacrest, who is set to host “Wheel of Fortune.”

“Do I have any advice for billionaire Ryan Seacrest? Who hosts everything all the time? No,” he said. “Bro, I think you got it. I think you know what to do. I think you know how to host things. Don’t worry about it. You’re going to be fine.”

The Price Is Right was abruptly taken off the air on Friday and fans took to social media to express their concerns. Why was the beloved game show interrupted and when will it return to its regular schedule? Continue reading to find out.

CBS Breaking News Report Interrupts The Price Is Right

Fans took to social media to beg CBS to put The Price Is Right back on when it was pulled from television on Friday. The network interrupted the show’s regular schedule for breaking news on Friday.

Right before The Price Is Right was slated to begin, yubi CBS broke into the feed with breaking news from the Supreme Court. This cut off the first few minutes of the game show, which meant that viewers didn’t get to see the intro or the first contestant.
Drew Carey - YouTube/The Price Is RightYouTube/The Price Is Right
The Supreme Court ruled that hundreds of people were improperly charged in relation to January 6. CBS broke the news about the court’s decision, cutting off all regularly scheduled programming.

Instead of starting at the beginning, The Price Is Right picked back up six minutes after the breaking news alert was over. Viewers missed the first six minutes of the show and it cut in during a commercial break. Fans were furious.

They missed the introduction for Friday’s show as well as the first contestant winning their prize. Fans didn’t hesitate to take their complaints to social media.

Fans Beg CBS To Change Their Approach

Calling out CBS News, one user wrote, “Get off the air and put Price is Right on!” Another wrote, “@CBSNews OK Already! You told us about the ruling now get off the TV. You aren’t even saying anything relevant now.”

A third person chimed in, “I’ve been through enough these last 16 hours, CBS, I just wanna watch the Price is Right,” referring to Thursday night’s presidential debate. “I was watching the Price is Right and they broke in for breaking news about the Supreme Court,” yet another viewer complained.
The Price Is Right: Drew CareyThe Price Is Right: Drew Carey
Viewers know that this isn’t the first time the game show has been interrupted recently. In May, The Price Is Right was taken off air for another breaking news segment. This time, it was a speech from President Joe Biden addressing protests that were happening on college campuses around the United States.

Fans’ biggest complaint is that the news could wait until after the game show is over at noon. Typically, there is a news report at that time anyway, so unless the news is actually urgent, they shouldn’t interrupt regularly scheduled programming.

Vanna White, Ryan Seacrest - Wheel of Fortune

Vanna White is shutting down rumors that she and her new Wheel of Fortune co-host Ryan Seacrest do not get along. The longtime letter turner took to Instagram on July 9 to clear up speculation about her and Seacrest’s working relationship following former host Pat Sajak’s retirement.

Alongside a photo of the pair enjoying a meal together, White penned: “Friends on and off camera. Enjoying one of our favorites, yubi Chicken and Dumplings!” Seacrest commented on the post and wrote: “Always a treat! Here’s to more fun moments and delicious bites 🥟!”

Several fans also commented and praised the duo for taking the high road. “I never listened to tabloids. Have a fabulous night!” one fan wrote. “You two will make a great team. Can’t wait,” a second viewer chimed in. A handful of fans showed support for Seacrest as well, with one fan writing: “Give the man a chance!!! No, he’s not Pat, but give him a chance!!!” Another added: “Don’t listen to all those naysayers. You are a great choice and will do well.”

Rumors that White and Seacrest were struggling to get along first began swirling in early June, when sources told The Daily Mail that White might retire before her contract ends in 2026. “Vanna is retiring from the show when her contract ends, but there is a part of her that wants to walk away sooner,” the insider told said. “It is just so difficult to do this without Pat … She just doesn’t jibe with Ryan like she did with Pat, and no one really ever expected her to. There is just no way that she possibly could.”

“Vanna feels that she has put her time in. She devoted her entire life to this show and she had an incredible run while making a fortune,” the source continued. “She knows that the show needs to go in a different direction and appeal to a younger demographic. She wants the show to continue. This will require a younger female host, someone who can be to Ryan what she was to Pat.”

The insider also claimed that Wheel of Fortune is hoping to replace White, who has been co-hosting the show since 1982, in the near future. “Wheel wants to make the transition between Pat and Ryan seamless and having Vanna there would be wonderful to make that all happen,” the source said. “They want her next contract though to be her last contract so there is a little more maneuverability to change things up in a few years when they look for her replacement.”

While White made it clear with her post that there is no truth to these claims, she has spoken about her hesitation to do the show without Sajak in the past. “When I heard that Pat was retiring, I thought maybe I should retire too,” she told TV Insider shortly after Sajak announced his departure. She added: “But I’m not ready! We’ll see toward the end of those two years how I feel. I thank God after all these years that I still love my job.”

White’s contract renewal also came with some negotiation drama. In July 2023, TMZ reported that White had allegedly asked for 50 percent of what Sajak was making. A second source refuted that claim and said White wanted pay parity with the longtime host after earning approximately $3 million a year for the 18 past years without any pay increases.

After reaching a deal that September, White told PEOPLE that she found it difficult to read about the negotiations online. “It was because people just have rumors,” she said. “Everything is so blown out of proportion, not just with my stuff, with everybody’s stuff.”

As Bill got Ryan into a soft headlock, fans were shocked as the TV host played into the unexpected maneuver.

At the end of it, yubi Ryan had to playfully tap on the wheel in order to get out of the headlock — and yubi fans were stunned watching the entire ordeal go down on the air.

After saying goodbye to the main show, Pat Sajak’s final episodes with the spinoff Celebrity Wheel of Fortune has been revealed. Sajak served as the host of Wheel of Fortune for more than 40 years, with his tenure coming to an end in 2024. Ryan Seacrest took over hosting duties starting in September of that year. However, due to Seacrest’s role on the long-running American Idol, Sajak has returned to host Celebrity Wheel of Fortune in recent weeks.

Now, Sajak’s time with yubi a Wheel of Fortune show is again coming to a close. Deadline reveals that the long-time host’s last episodes with Celebrity Wheel of Fortune begin Wednesday, April 30 at 8pm on ABC. It isn’t yet clear when his exact final episode will air.

That same night will also see the 2025 Jeopardy! Masters tournament at 9pm. Contestants scheduled for this season of Celebrity Wheel of Fotrune include Cameron Brink, Josh Gad, Tiffany Haddish, Regina Hall, Rachael Harris, Ellie Kemper, Justin Long, Joe Manganiello, Katharine McPhee, Oscar Nuñez, Randall Park, Andrew Rannells, Sam Richardson, Matt Walsh and Rainn Wilson.

What This Means For Wheel Of Fortune

Vanna White and Pat Sajak pose on the set of Wheel Of Fortune

The End Of An Era (Again)

Sajak’s departure means that Celebrity Wheel of Fortune, like the main series, is entering a new hosting era. Ready to replace Sajak is Seacrest, adding to his Wheel of Fortune gig. The American Idol host will pick up the position after season 5 of Celebrity Wheel of Fortune airs. Vanna White, Wheel of Fortune‘s co-host, will continue her role of both co-hosting and flipping the letters on the tiled game screen.

Wheel of Fortune has had five official hosts since it premiered in 1975, beginning with Chuck Wooley. Sajak made his debut on the program in 1981. Wheel of Fortune is the longest-running syndicated show on television, and Sajak currently holds the Guinness World Record for being the longest-running host for a singular game show, passing the likes of Bob Barker from The Price is Right and the late Alex Trebek of Jeopardy! fame. It is unlikely that Sajak will return to host another show, so Celebrity Wheel of Fortune will presumably be his last time as a television game show host.

Our Take On Pat Sajak’s Final Episodes

Pat Sajak Had A Long And Successful Run On Wheel Of Fortune

Having hosted Wheel of Fortune for 41 seasons and Celebrity Wheel of Fortune for five, Sajak is a bonafide television legend. His lengthy career has spanned decades, and his final run on Celebrity Wheel of Fortune is sure to be a hit.

Sajak has established himself as a quintessential figure in the world of television game shows, earning the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Host for a Game Show in 2024. Though Seacrest is posed to begin a new era for the show, Sajak will always remain a critical part of Wheel of Fortune‘s imagery and history.

Let’s get ready to … rumble?

This famous line might be added to the “Wheel of Fortune” rolodex of phrases, as a contestant recently showed host Ryan Seacrest his wrestling techniques.

During the show’s March 24 episode, contestant “Big” Bill Page revealed he was a former pro wrestler. Fittingly, Seacrest asked Page “what kind of moves” he could demonstrate for the audience, and Page pulled out what he described as the “easiest” move in the sport: a headlock.

Page then put Seacrest, 50, into a soft headlock, and the host smiled before playfully tapping out against the wheel. After the episode, the Delaware native told Maggie Sajak — daughter of former “Wheel of Fortune” host Pat Sajak, who retired from the game show last June — about his pro wrestling career, yubi including how he started the sport in high school before joining the East Coast Wrestling Association.

“I did all [the moves]: the top rope, getting slammed, kicked in the head—everything,” Page said in the interview. “It was fun and they put me in the Hall of Fame.”

And while Page didn’t solve the final puzzle, he won a $24,600 cash prize and a trip to St. Maarten.

This isn’t the first time Seacrest has had an unexpected interaction with a contestant.

Earlier this year, another player named Daniel Thomas swept Seacrest off his feet — literally. During the January episode, Thomas solved the final puzzle and celebrated by hugging the “American Idol” alum, who stumbled over his foot after the embrace and fell.

Then, that same month, Seacrest and cohost Vanna White played a special role in helping a former contestant become a fiancée. At the time, player Rhea Mathew —who appeared on the show in October 2023 — solved a puzzle that read: “Will you marry me.” And right on cue, her boyfriend Robin came out with a ring, and she accepted his sweet proposal.
