Pat Sajak was mostly loved and at times criticized by “Wheel of Fortune” fans, but he was a familiar face who they were comfortable with. Ever since Ryan Seacrest took over the hosting duties of “Wheel Of Fortune,”  he has naturally been compared to the iconic Sajak who led the show for decades. While most like the new host’s charm and personality on the show, die-hard fans of Sajak often feel he falls short. Recently, a player who shared the stage with Seacrest on the show shared some insight into how the host is in real life.

In a Reddit thread called “The new guy,” on the show’s unofficial forum, fans of “Wheel Of Fortune” discussed Ryan’s performance as the new host.

Further, lauding the host’s looks, one Redditor, u/Aggravating-Body-721 wrote, “He dresses nice, is personable & engaging with all the contestants & their families. I like the new guy!” In the replies to the comment, Cody Munger who appeared on the show’s “Big Tournament Championship” last year, chimed in to share his insight. He shared his experience with Ryan off-camera and claimed that the new host has an easygoing personality which is partly responsible for his success.

“I got to play recently and when my friends/family ask me about him, I say that I get why he’s so successful,” u/CodyyeMunger wrote. He further continued that Seacrest was very fun to be around as well. “He was so nice and fun to be around. He makes you comfortable and forget that millions of people are watching you play,” he wrote.

The former contestant even attributed his success on the show to the host. “He was a big factor in all of my week having as much fun as we did,” he added. This was evident in Munger’s bonus round where Seacrest talked to him like a friend. Going into the bonus round, Munger introduced his buddies Jason and Billy. “Well, let’s hope it goes really well tonight. I’d like to meet you up on stage this time around, so don’t screw it up,” Seacrest told Munger, putting his warmth on display.

Munger emerged victorious in the episode, winning the week-long BetMGM Big Winners Tournament with $27,150 in cash and a prize trip to Atlantic City. Going into the bonus round, he had a  $94,900 jackpot at stake.

The Bonus Round featured a four-word puzzle, which read, “O_T     O_    T_E    _ _ Y” after the standard letters “R, S, T, L, N, E” and Munger’s “C, D, Y, O,” were filled in. When the 10-second timer went off, Cody wasted no time to solve it by guessing, “Out of The Way.” While Vanna White immediately started clapping, it took a moment for Seacrest to register the answer. “Cody? That’s it,” Seacrest yelled after an awkward pause. The elated contestant finally threw his head back in relief.

“You got it! Congratulations,” Seacrest added as confetti was showered on the stage, and the camera showed the amount close to $100,000 that Munger had just won.

Wheel of Fortune fans think they heard Vanna White exclaim an expletive during a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moment on the show.

A brief moment during Thursday’s concluding segment has left Wheel of Fortune fans majorly divided.

As part of its Winter Wonderland Week, the hit ABC game show has been featured in Park City, Utah.

Vanna, 67, who has co-hosted Wheel of Fortune since her debut in 1982, and her new co-star Ryan Seacrest, 50, were both sporting skiing gear and were stationed atop a snowy hill.

Ryan got into position as he exclaimed: “Thanks for watching from this winter wonderland!”

Before he skied down the hill, he added: “See you next time on Wheel Of Fortune.”

As Vanna waved him off, the camera stayed on her, and she suddenly pulled a shocked facial expression.

The camera then cut to Ryan, who was lying face down on the snow with his equipment scattered around him.

Reacting to Ryan’s fall, Vanna seemingly exclaimed a word that viewers thought could have been an expletive.

Vanna ended the segment waving to the camera and saying: “I’m going to go and help Ryan, bye bye!”

One fan, @johnburrowsfan, took to Reddit to ask: “Did Vanna say what I think she said? I swear she says the F word!”

User @DinoScoops replied: “Yes I have it recorded too. I’ve listened to it like 30 times trying to figure out an alternative explanation. There isn’t one.”

With viewer @FabulousEngineer912 agreeing: “That’s what I thought she said too!”

A fourth user, @musicaes, chimed in: “Holy s—! It was clear as day. I was watching live and missed it!”

And fan @DinoScoops pointed out: “Especially when she has the exclamation of OHHH right beforehand. Someone is getting fired,” before clarifying: “EDIT: Vanna is not going to face any consequences. I’m referring to the junior editor tasked with these bumpers.”

However, some argued that Vanna actually said “look,” not the “F word,” like user @kerosenehat63, who wrote: “She said “Look”. At least that’s what the closed captioning said.”

Ryan Seacrest is being hit with some criticism from longtime Wheel of Fortune lovers.

Since taking over as host for Pat Sajak in September, Seacrest has received mixed reviews from viewers about his performance, with new complaints now rolling in about some of his tendencies.

One fan in the Wheel of Fortune Reddit forum wondered why Seacrest “has been forgetting to remind the player to dump the wild card after landing on bankrupt.” The commenter pointed this out after the Monday, January 27, episode, adding, “I’m not sure if he’s been forgetting too much or he’s just being lazy to remind the player.”

This sparked a discussion about other things that had been bothering viewers about Seacrest’s hosting abilities. “I think the more annoying thing is when he doesn’t remind them to call a letter before they solve in the last round when time is running out,” someone wrote. “Lady today lost out on 1500 or so.”

Another person jumped into say, “Oh my god, I hate the way he shows the money and the bonus round. He holds the card up against his chest and builds up the suspense, and it’s 40K. Sad slide whistle.” Someone else had a list of complaints, writing, “I just don’t believe that he actually loves the game itself. And as the host, he should be pointing out to the players when they have the clock ticking or ‘Don’t want to guess a letter first?’ It [would show] he cares about everyone doing well. And good grief — announce the dollar amount of the prize money at the end of the final spin.”

Wheel Of Fortune' Fans Annoyed By Ryan Seacrest's On Air Quirk - IMDb

However, there were other commenters who jumped to Seacrest’s defense. “I love him. Think he is awesome,” someone said, while someone else wrote, “I’d prefer the host not remind people how to play the game. If I’m in the lead and the host reminds another player to guess a letter, and it results in them winning, I’d be pissed. I played the game correctly and didn’t need a reminder. Why is the host helping the other player? It’s fairest to just let everyone play and the best player wins.”

A third person added, “I really enjoy how Ryan hosts the show. He’s enthusiastic and really cheers the contestants on. I never cared for Pat’s snarky comments.”

Sajak was the host of Wheel for 43 years before he left the gig last year.

His contract lasts through the early 2030s, according to The New York Times.

    Disney/Christopher Willard/Frederick M. Brown/Getty Images/Phillip Faraone/Getty Images for CBS Media Ventures

Drew Carey knows what it takes to step into the shoes of a game show legend.

However, he didn’t pass on any words of wisdom to Ken Jennings and Ryan Seacrest when they took over as hosts of Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune, respectively.

“Ryan Seacrest certainly doesn’t need my advice!” Carey told TV Insider. “I think Bob [Barker] gave me the best advice. He said, ‘You have to make the show your own, and don’t try to copy me.’ And he’s right. Ken Jennings is doing his own thing. He should do his own thing. Ryan Seacrest has been in the hosting business forever. He knows how to make it his own thing and have it come from himself authentically. That’s the thing when you’re on TV for an hour every day — you can’t really fake too much. It always comes out one way or the other.”

Carey took over as host of The Price Is Right after Barker’s retirement in 2007. Meanwhile, yubi Jennings was named the permanent host of Jeopardy! in December 2023 following Alex Trebek‘s October 2020 death.

At first, the former champion filled in as a guest host, then split the hosting duties with Mayim Bialik beginning in 2021 before he took on the position full-time.

Pat Sajak left Wheel of Fortune in 2024 after hosting the show for more than 40 years.

Sony confirmed in 2023 that Seacrest would be his replacement, and the former morning show host took over in September 2024.

Drew Carey Was Asked If He Had Advice For Ryan Seacrest Hosting Wheel Of Fortune, And He Had A Funny (And Accurate) Response

On his first day, Seacrest got some friendly advice from Sajak and longtime letter flipper Vanna White. “Pat and Vanna both said to me when I first got here, ‘The best part is you’re going to meet three new people every night, and they walk away with cash!’” he dished on Good Morning America.

He also assured viewers he wouldn’t be changing things up from the way they were done with Sajak at the helm. “Don’t make any changes. Don’t touch it. This show works,” Seacrest explained. “All I need to do is keep it moving. And all we need to do is have fun every night. If that happens, then I think this show continues for a long time.”

The television personality has been involved with the ABC game show way before she became their social media correspondent.

Her father Pat spent over 40 years as the host of Wheel of Fortune, before retiring and giving the reins over to Ryan Seacrest. He was first hired in December 1981 to replace the original host Chuck Woolery. Sajak originally started with Susan Stafford but she was replaced after a year by Vanna White.

For the show’s 50th anniversary, Maggie gave Access Hollywood an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the infamous set. During the tour, she said Wheel of Fortune holds a special place in her life.

She said: “Obviously this show is a huge part of my life and my family’s life.”

Once she came on board as a correspondent, she realized how many others are equally affected by the show’s presence.

“It’s a huge part of so many lives over generations now which is just crazy to even think,” she admitted.

Maggie made her live television debut in 1996, at just one year old.

A few years later, Maggie and her brother Patrick filled in for her father and Vanna during a special episode.

She reflected on that experience: “I didn’t even realize at that age the impact of the show so seeing it now and seeing those moments, I’m like ‘Wow, little did she know.’”

Underneath the Youtube video, several longtime fans gushed about Maggie and how it’s been to see her grown up in front of their eyes.

There have been clues to suggest that “young girl” will be Maggie when the host steps down.

The Wheel of Fortune and American Idol host is honoring the special women in his life.

preview for Ryan Seacrest's Net Worth Is Jaw-Dropping

Ryan Seacrest never forgets where he came from — and those who have supported him in his rise to fame.

On March 8, the Wheel of Fortune and American Idol host decided to celebrate the ladies in his life to honor International Women’s Day. As a way to do so, Ryan posted two photos on Instagram from then and now with his mom Constance and his sister Meredith Seacrest Leach. One image depicted the trio at what appeared to be Ryan’s high school graduation, and the other showcased them at the opening of one of Ryan’s Seacrest Studios as part of the Ryan Seacrest Foundation. Nevertheless, he made sure to express how much gratitude he holds for having Constance and Meredith in his corner in life.

“Lucky to be surrounded by strong, smart, and supportive women,” he wrote in the heartfelt caption. “Celebrating my mom, my sister, and all the incredible women out there!”

Upon seeing Ryan’s sweet dedication — and the throwback family moment — online, fans immediately bombarded him with how much they loved his sentiment.

“What a pretty photo from the 90s! 😍 Your mom and sister have matching dresses on, your family is so beautiful. 👏,” one person wrote in the comments. “Such a proud son and brother. Keep it that way! 😀 Count your blessings every day,” another agreed. “You look like your beautiful Mom,” a different follower observed.

We so love to see such a supportive family! What’s more, they help out Ryan with his philanthropic work as Meredith is the Executive Director and CEO of the Ryan Seacrest Foundation (Constance also participates as a Board Member of her son’s organization).

But that’s not all — Ryan and Meredith have also worked together outside of the foundation. They released their first children’s book, The Make-Believers, back in October 2024 — and the two shared how their childhood inspired them to write the literary title.

“Reflecting on our childhood, I got the idea to make the book about make-believe,” Meredith told Good Housekeeping at the time. “Then we got connected to a publisher and started to focus on the words and the storyline … It took us more than two years to produce from start to finish, but we’re excited to be able to share it with families.”

    Well said!

Charli, 18, and Mark danced a Foxtrot routine to one of Michael’s cover of the hit song, Fever, on the most recent episode of DWTS and then stood before the panel of judges awaiting their results.

Michael, 47, shocked viewers with his notes, as he said to the teen: “I’m not telling you this, Charli, because I want you to love me like you love Len.

“But I actually wrote this down…effortless, mesmerizing, and expressively erotic.”

The teen social media sensation appeared noticeably uncomfortable by the comment, as her face can be seen immediately cringing while her partner Mark stood in disbelief.

Following the commentary, fans flocked to Twitter to slam the singer.

One critic commented: “Why are they making so many inappropriate comments?”

Another wrote: “Michael Buble calling Charli’s foxtrot erotic was hella weird. Like, what about that was erotic?”

A third Twitter user slammed: “Michael Buble called Charli D’Amelio’s dance erotic and that’s just gonna haunt my dreams for the rest of my days.”

Someone else chimed in: “Why did Michael Buble just use the word ‘erotic’ in regard to an 18-year-old girl.”

Another tweet read: “MICHAEL BUBLE JUST CALLED CHARLI D’AMELIO EROTIC … WHAT.”

    POULTRY PROBLEMS

Earlier in the episode, fans were treated to another “gross” moment.

It came after Shangela and partner Gleb Savchenko wowed the judges with their tango routine.

The judges, including 78-year-old Len Goodman, gave them wildly positive reviews, even going as far as saying it was their “best dance” this season.

Shangela questioned, “Were my legs crispy?” before pulling out a tiny bag full of fried chicken.

“My mama said make sure I give you this crispy chicken to make sure that my legs were just as crispy,” she said.

Tyra, standing by in shock, then asked: “Did you dance this entire time with a piece of chicken in your decolletage?”

Shangela responded: “I danced with two pieces of chicken in my decolletage.”

The supermodel then started handing the chicken out to other judges, taking a huge bite herself first.

Viewers were in shock and took to Twitter to share their thoughts.

    VIEWERS RESPOND

“It’s too early in the night for me to see Tyra housing some fried chicken,” one Twitter user joked.

Another joked: “Tyra eating the chicken is the first time I’ve liked her.”

A critical viewer chimed in: “Tyra flubs all her lines & names anyway she may as well go ahead & eat chicken while trying to talk now too.”

Someone else tweeted: “Shangela just pulled a piece of fried chicken out of her bra that her mom made to give to Len and Tyra Banks ate it. This show is pure chaos”

Another grossed-out Twitter user tweeted: “us watching tyra eat 2 rounds of Shangela’s b00b chicken.”

Someone else tweeted: “Tyra just went rogue with that fried chicken and I’m living for it.”

Another hater added: “Literally DIED when Shangela brought out the fried chicken and then Tyra goes and ruins it and makes it about her.”

Fans have been overly critical of Tyra all season long.

‘He’s not the star of the show’ fume The Voice viewers as they slam coach over ‘annoying’ habit

The fifth blind auditions saw the likes of Cameron Wright, Mark Shiiba and BEYA take to the stage.

And while the reality TV show is about those who audition, some fans think that Michael is doing too much attention-grabbing antics and is making it all about him.

One wrote on Reddit: “I am starting to dislike Michael Buble. Last show, I found myself talking to the tv, telling him to shut up every time he gave HIS on-and-on performance. He needs to learn that he’s not the star of the show; the performers are.”

They added: “The show is called THE VOICE not THE VOICE COACHES.”

Another confessed: “This is why we quit watching. I thought Kelly was bad, everything was about her. It’s getting worse.”

A fourth wrote: “This show has always been more about the coaches than about the performers. But I agree, I think this self absorbed behavior is what makes this show unwatchable at times. And this counts for most or all of the coaches – at least during the blinds.”

Michael has spoken out about his life experiences as a musician to many of those who have performed in front of the judges.

Previously he opened up about how he started his career.

Michael said: “I was 16/17 and I started playing in these weird clubs and no one ever paid to see me.

“My grandpa was a plumber and he used to trade free plumbing to the club owner and the musicians would let me in.”

Gwen Stefani slammed for ‘disturbing’ treatment of ‘terrified’ tiny kitten on The Voice premiere
In another time he said: “The cool part about this show is these four people are going to help you to emulate to take what you want.

“That’s what we do as artists, we take from our heroes, we stand on the soldiers of the people tat we love and then we find ourselves.

“I love that one of us is going to get to be apart of watching you find yourself through your love of different genres and artists.

“Thank you so much for coming to our show.”

Last night performer BEYA, from Kauai in Hawaii, performed Ruby & the Romantic’s song Our Day Will Come.

Despite her incredible voice, Michael decided to not turn around.

He then explained: “I was sitting here thinking, ‘I love her voice, but can she be versatile?

“‘What she’s gonna be like with R&B or pop or country?’ And I couldn’t talk myself into going, ‘Yeah, she’ll be able to do that!’

“Now, here’s what’s gonna happen: You are gonna prove me completely wrong … and I will flog myself for this.”

However the singer was completely wrong about her.

BEYA told the camera before her performance: “Being a bilingual artist in Hawaii is hard to come by.

“I’m a full-time musician and I have to play some kind of Latin music at every gig. The crowd loves it; it’s a really sweet treat.

“Usually, I perform in intimate settings and now I’m about to step onto the biggest stage that I’ve ever sang on in my life.

“I would love to do a Latin song on the show, but my go-to genre is soul and R&B.”

Gabby Windey finished second on Dancing With the Stars season 31, but it’s not winner Charli D’Amelio whom she holds a grudge against. Instead, it’s week 6 guest judge Michael Bublé.

Bublé, 49, appeared on the Michael Bublé Night episode midway through the season, where Windey, 34, and partner Val Chmerkovskiy danced to his 2005 single “Home.”

Windey explained why the Canadian crooner left the wrong kind of impression during a game of Cheap Shots with Cosmopolitan. The prompt was to name one male celebrity that she has worked with whom she hates, and Windey didn’t hesitate at all to throw Bublé under the bus.

“Michael Bublé,” she immediately answered in the video posted Wednesday, March 5. “He didn’t give me a perfect score on Dancing With the Stars, but he did look me up and down in my outfit, so whose side are you on?”

Bublé gave Windey and Chmerkovskiy a 9 for their rumba dance, matching the scores from judges Carrie Ann Inaba, the late Len Goodman and Derek HoughBruno Tonioli gave them a perfect 10.

Bublé isn’t the only celebrity to catch some heat from Windey. The former Bachelorette has made the reality TV rounds, yubi starting as a contestant on season 26 of The Bachelor and most recently competing on season 3 of The Traitors.

Windey remains in the running for the grand prize ahead of the finale, airing Thursday, March 6, night. Part of the reason she has stayed in the game so long is that, as Windey admits, she lied to everybody in the cast.

“I told everyone that I liked them,” she said. “Dylan Efron? Dead to me.”

Bachelor Nation on Dancing with the Stars

Similarly, she was asked which of her Traitors castmates disappointed her the most when she met them in person.

“Obviously Tom Sandoval because he’s just a disappointing person,” she said, before repeating that Efron is “dead to me.”

Who Is the Best Bachelorette of All Time?

Her fellow Bachelor Nation stars weren’t safe, either. When asked which alum was most thirsty, she thought for a minute before settling on Matt James.

“He’s not thirsty. He’s actually very dry, like a prune,” she admitted of the season 25 Bachelor. “He’s just rude and maybe a poor excuse for a man.”

Windey went on to clarify that her opinion was “coming on the heels of the Rachael Kirkconnell drama” and that she is “a girl’s girl.”

James, 33, abruptly announced his breakup from Kirkconnell, 28, via Instagram in January 2025. Their split came on a vacation to Tokyo after an alleged argument over where to go for dinner ballooned into a larger conversation.

“We know about him now,” Windey concluded before playfully tossing the card holding the question over her shoulder.

Everything You Need to Know About “The Voice”

There’s nothing we love more than the banter between The Voice coaches, and we caught a great moment during the March 3 episode of The Voice season 27.

As contestant Brook Wood wowed John LegendAdam LevineKelsea Ballerini and Michael Bublé with a heartfelt rendition of Jelly Roll’s “Save Me.” it didn’t take long for John to turn his chair around with the hopes of having her join his team. Just when it looked like he was going to secure the win, Kelsea hit her button too.

Naturally, this caused a potential issue for John and Kelsea, yubi but it was actually when Adam got involved that things turned up a notch. As he was giving feedback, it was clear Adam was trying to convince Brook to go with Kelsea.

“I really wanted Kelsea to push—,” Adam began before John took over the conversation in a clip posted on YouTube.

“Brook, I’m right here — I just want you to know that!” John interrupted. “Adam, I know you were talking. I don’t wanna — are you done?”

While folks loved seeing John and Adam interact, they especially loved Brook’s performance.

“The way Adam loves and looks out for Kelsea 😄❤️,” one person wrote in the comments. “This one may go the distance,” another declared. “Would’ve loved to hear John and her sing together,” a different follower added.

So, did John succeed in convincing Brook he was the coach for her? Much to his chagrin, she eventually went to Kelsea’s team. But this doesn’t mean he doesn’t have the chance to steal her down the line …

Guess we’ll just have to tune in and see!
