Ryan Seacrest had what appeared to some like a blunder on Wheel of Fortune recently.

Contestant Cody Hunger, who secured a spot in the final game of the BetMGM Big Winners Tournament, was doing the Bonus Round on the October 4 episode of the puzzle game show.

He selected “Phrase” as the category for the round. After his final spin, he picked additional letters: “C, D, Y, O.” The additional letters spell his name which is something Cody has done before on a previous Wheel of Fortune game when he was doing the Bonus Round.

Cody guessed “Out of the way” and while Vanna White smiled and clasped her hand together after he answered, Ryan did not say anything.

There was brief pause where Cody and the audience was not sure if he had won. Then Ryan finally spoke, saying his name first in what sounded like an almost questioning way and then he followed with the exciting news: “That’s it!.” and “Congratulations!”

As Ryan confirmed the win with a big grin, the iconic letter-turner allowed herself to fully react by putting her hands up in the air and clapping for Cody. Cody ended up winning the $94,900 jackpot as confetti cascaded on the studio and he was joined by his friends.

The pause did not go unnoticed by fans as a fan made a thread about it on the Wheel of Fortune subreddit.

They titled their post “How about that pause” and went to express their thoughts of the “nightmare” Ryan put Cody through. They wrote: “What a nightmare for the guy as he had to wait for Ryan to wake up and tell him he got the puzzle. Vanna was clapping as soon as he said it!”

Some agreed with the original poster while others thought Ryan’s pause was intentional and was used to create “suspense.” On fan wrote: “my dude forgot how to host.” A second fan said: ” It was quite awkward.” Another fan said: “The pause, I believe, is due to the producers wanting to build up Drama…it’s happened a few times now with Ryan…Not a fan of the way the show’s being produced since he’s taken over the lead…Jusss Saying…” A fourth fan agreed, saying: “Yeah this was filmed months ago. If it were actually a mistake it would have been edited out. They did the pause on purpose to build suspense.”

[OFFICIAL] Wheel of Fortune’s Latest UPDATES on Ryan Seacrest Is LEAVING in 2025

Wheel of Fortune’s Latest Updates on if Ryan Seacrest Is Leaving in 2025

Wondering if Ryan Seacrest is leaving Wheel of Fortune in 2025? The TV host took over from Pat Sajak in September 2024, but rumors suggest his time on the show might be short-lived. Speculation has intensified with reports of Sajak’s interest in returning and uncertainty surrounding Seacrest’s contract.

From Sajak’s potential comeback to Maggie Sajak’s growing role, here’s what we know about Seacrest’s future on Wheel of Fortune.

Wheel of Fortune’s Latest Updates on if Ryan Seacrest Is Leaving in 2025

Here’s why fans think Ryan Seacrest could be leaving Wheel of Fortune

Speculation has emerged that Ryan Seacrest may leave the show in 2025. He became the host of Wheel of Fortune in September 2024, replacing longtime host Pat Sajak.

Reports indicate that Pat Sajak wants to return to Wheel of Fortune after his guest appearance on Celebrity Wheel of Fortune. A RadarOnline insider stated, “Pat got an amazing show of support… and it’s revived his drive to be host on the original again as well.” The source also revealed, “He never wanted to leave in the first place. They forced his hand, and now he wants his old job back.”

Ryan Seacrest hopes to achieve one mega 'Wheel of Fortune' goal in 2025 | Fox News

Despite this, Seacrest signed a multi-year deal with ABC in 2024. According to The Sun, his contract may only last two years, leaving his long-term future uncertain. Meanwhile, RadarOnline sources report that ABC grew frustrated with Sajak before his departure, citing concerns over his humor and treatment of contestants, which raises doubts about his possible return.

Fueling the speculation, Pat’s daughter, Maggie Sajak, has taken on a more active role with Wheel of Fortune as a social media correspondent. The Sun reported, “Maggie has positioned herself to help out if there’s a hosting vacancy,” making her a potential future host.

Seacrest has received mixed reactions, with RadarOnline alleging he described fan backlash as a “real dumpster fire,” per Radar Online. While ratings have improved, many longtime viewers continue to criticize his hosting style.

Why Fans Think Ryan Seacrest Is Leaving Wheel of Fortune Already

Currently, there is no confirmation that Seacrest will leave Wheel of Fortune in 2025. However, ongoing rumors about Sajak’s return, Maggie Sajak’s involvement, and Seacrest’s contract length continue to fuel speculation.

Wheel of Fortune airs weeknights on ABC at 7:30 p.m. ET.

[UNHAPPY] Dan Abrams’s ending his NewsNation broadcast. The primetime lineup on the NewsNation network will look a lot different moving forward

On Patrol host leaves news show; Why is Dan Abrams leaving NewsNation?

The primetime lineup on the NewsNation network will look a lot different moving forward.

Dan Abrams, host of the “Dan Abrams Live” newscast, signed off last week from the station.

Here’s why he’s ending his NewsNation broadcast, and where Dan Abrams could pop up next.

Dan Abrams ends ‘Dan Abrams Live,’ won’t leave network

Dan Abrams stated in late 2024 that he would end “Dan Abrams Live” in February, and Abrams followed through on that promise, as the last “Dan Abrams Live” aired on Thursday, February 6.

Abrams confirmed his move through a post on the X social media platform:

Abrams provided more details of the show’s end while closing out the final broadcast.

“When I made the announcement in December, as much as I love this show and the mission of this network, I just can’t continue to give this show the attention it needs and deserves with all of my other professional commitments,” Abrams reportedly said. “But I don’t wanna get too nostalgic or sappy because this is definitely not goodbye. In fact, it’s not even goodbye from NewsNation.

“I’m working with them on possible weekly show concept, but regardless if that works out, I intend to still be a part of the NewsNation family.”

Dan Abrams still doing podcasts, ‘On Patrol’ show

In the same published report, yubi, Dan Abrams made it clear that he is a full go on his other programs and platforms.

“You can still catch me on Reelz on Friday and Saturday nights for ‘On Patrol Live,’ where we follow police departments in real time,” Abrams said. “I have my ‘Daily Politics Meets the Law Show’ on Sirius XM POTUS Channel, which will soon be available on YouTube as well. I’m still ABC News Chief legal analyst.

“I still host Court Cam on A&E, which also appears on some Nexstar networks as well,” Abrams added. “So I’ll still be doing a lot of TV. And most importantly, I run a major media business that needs my attention.”

[SO SAD] Jimmy Fallon and Jimmy Kimmel LEAVE late-night talk show

Jimmy Fallon Reveals If He Is Leaving ‘The Tonight Show’

    Jimmy Fallon | YouTube

With the news that Jimmy Kimmel might be leaving his late-night talk show, there is now news about Jimmy Fallon. Both hosts have expiring contracts, and it seemed like there could be a major shakeup on late-night TV. More so, Seth Meyers just signed a new extension through 2028, and Fallon had a decision to make.

Here is what you need to know about Fallon’s future on late-night television.

Jimmy Fallon Reveals Future With The Tonight Show

Jimmy Fallon has been on The Tonight Show as its host since 2014, and with this being his 10-year anniversary as the host, Fallon’s contract was coming to an end. With the Jimmy Kimmel rumors that he would be leaving his talk show at the end of his contract, Fallon’s name was next on the lips of talk show fans.

However, unlike Kimmel, Fallon has already decided to stick it out. He just signed a new extension to remain with NBCUniversal and host The Tonight Show through at least 2028. NBCUniversal Media Group chairman Mark Lazarus released a statement, saying it was a privilege to watch Fallon as the host, and they want to “see what innovations he and the incredible staff will deliver in the years to come.” (via TVLine).

As expected, Fallon responded humorously. He released a statement that was almost word-for-word, the same as Lazarus’, but written from a first-person perspective on his career and the future. He finished with, “No, I’m not changing my quote. Tell Mark to change his.”

Fallon replaced Jay Leno on The Tonight Show, making him its sixth host. Steve Allen debuted the show and worked as its host from 1954 to 1957. Jack Parr then served as its host from 1957 to 1962. Johnny Carson made it the most-watched late-night talk show in history from 1962 to 1992.

Leno followed Carson from 1992 to 2009. Conan O’Brien then came on from 2009 to 2010, but major controversy occurred, yubi and Leno returned from 2010 to 2014. Before The Tonight Show, Fallon made his name on Saturday Night Live.

Other Talk Show Hosts Futures In Question

The biggest name to be possibly departing late-night television is Jimmy Kimmel. His son was born with heart disease, and he has had to have multiple open-heart surgeries and is only eight. Understandably, Kimmel might leave the show at the end of his contract to spend more time with his son.

As aforementioned, Seth Meyers signed a new extension to stay with NBC on Late Night With Seth Meyers through 2028 (although his show is dropping its house band).

However, Jimmy Kimmel’s deal ends in 2025. Stephen Colbert on CBS is signed through 2026, as is Bill Maher and John Oliver on HBO. Taylor Tomlinson on CBS just had her show, Afer Midnight, renewed for the 2024-25 TV season.

Are you happy to know that Jimmy Fallon is sticking around for a few more years? More so, what do you think of his hosting duties? Let us know in the comments below.

MSNBC host Andrea Mitchell will soon leave the job she’s held for more than 16 years. Get more details about her departure from Andrea Mitchell Reports and an update on her career.

Andrea Mitchell will soon sign off her MSNBC show.

The final episode of the 78-year-old’s series Andrea Mitchell Reports will air Feb. 7, according to multiple reports.

Andrea Mitchell to depart as MSNBC news anchor after 17 years on Friday

The TV news host, who anchored the series for more than 16 years, had first revealed her plans to end her eponymous program in October, noting that she planned to step down following the presidential inauguration in January while remaining NBC News’ Chief Washington Correspondent and Chief Foreign Affairs Correspondent for NBC News.

“In my heart and soul, I am first and foremost a reporter and a storyteller,” Mitchell said on Andrea Mitchell Reports at the time. “After 16 years of being in the anchor chair every day, I want time to do more of what I love the most.”

She continued, “Still with NBC News and at MSNBC. Still as Chief Washington and Foreign Affairs Correspondent. Just not on a schedule of a daily show. From primaries, debates, elections and inaugurals here at home to breaking news around the globe, yubi, my goal will continue as it has always been to bring you, our viewers, the major newsmakers shaping our country and the world right here on MSNBC.”

Michell said that she looked forward after the presidential inauguration in January to share all her plans and bring viewers her “reporting in new ways right here across all of NBC News and MSNBC for many years to come.”

News about the final episode of Andrea Mitchell Reports comes days after longtime NBC News colleague Chuck Todd announced he was departing the company after nearly 20 years.

“Today is my last day at NBC,” the 52-year-old said in a Jan. 31 memo to colleagues. “There’s never a perfect time to leave a place that’s been a professional home for so long, but I’m pretty excited about a few new projects that are on the cusp of going from ‘pie in the sky’ to ‘near reality.’”

Todd also said he was taking his ChuckToddcast podcast along with him.

“Thank you, NBC,” he wrote. “Stay tuned for an announcement about its new home soon. Needless to say, I do plan to continue to share my reporting and unique perspective of covering politics with data and history as important baselines in understanding where we were, where we are and where we’re going.”

The Price is Right fans are CONCERNED for Drew Carey‘s SAFETY after they noticed that they “MAUL” the host when they get on stage

Why ‘The Price is Right’ Fans Are Worried for Drew Carey’s Safety

    Sonja Flemming/CBS

The Price is Right fans are concerned for Drew Carey‘s safety after they noticed that they “maul” the host when they get on stage. Game show fans also noticed that the same thing happens on Wheel of Fortune with Ryan Seacrest.

An example of this happened four years ago when a contestant won the bidding round, enthusiastically hugged Drew, and knocked him over. On TPIR, contestants scream, run down the aisles, and hug Carey so tightly that fans wonder if there are rules in place on the game show.

A Reddit user posed the question on the platform. “Before the show tapes, do they announce to the audience, if you make it on stage, do NOT hug, maul, pick up, get rough with Drew?” they asked.

“Some of these contestants are too rough. They could accidentally hurt Drew.”

“Yeah, Drew isn’t exactly a spring chicken anymore. I realize contestants are pumped up, but please don’t damage the host… or the models either,” another fan begged. Carey is 66 years old.

“One almost pushed him over, and the woman today was crawling all over him,” pointed out another.

“I’ve been getting worried about him lately. Some of these crazies are getting way too physical with him,” said another.

“They show a hype video of people doing crazy things before you go into the studio, which inspires folks to be crazy,” a Reddit user let others know.

However, Reddit users pointed out that fans did the same thing to the previous host, Bob Barker, and no rules were enforced.

Similar things have happened on Wheel of Fortune since Seacrest joined as host.

A teacher shrieked wildly in his ear, an ex-TV anchor squeezed him tight, and another contestant knocked Seacrest over after celebrating his win. He opened up about the pain he has experienced since being on the show.

Do you think game show contestants are a bit too enthusiastic? Sound off in the comments.

Price Is Right contestant had to make a big decision between taking a cash prize or risking it all for a brand new car, and viewers are debating whether she made the right choice.

In a clip posted to the official Price Is Right Instagram page on Tuesday (March 4), host Drew Carey explained how things work in the Spelling Bee game to a contestant named Patricia. As he pointed out, the game involves choosing numbers on the board to reveal letters that spell out the word “CAR.” However, the cards also contain monetary values.

Patricia turned over five cards worth $1,000 each, meaning she could walk away with $5,000 or risk it and go for the car. “It’s a $19,000 car,” Carey explained. “But I’ll give you $5,000 right now just to forget about the car.”

After thinking it over for a moment, Patricia yelled, “I’ll take the five grand!”

Carey looked a little surprised, asking, “You’re gonna take the five grand?”

He then shook Patricia’s hand to confirm her decision, quipping, “I feel like Wayne Brady. Jonathan, show her what she’s gonna get.”

Carey was referring to fellow game show Let’s Make a Deal, hosted by Wayne Brady, alongside announcer Jonathan Mangum. On that show, contestants are offered something of value and given a choice of whether to keep it or exchange it for a different item. Carey and Brady previously worked together on the hit improv comedy show Whose Line Is It Anyway?.

As for Patricia, it turned out she made the wrong choice. Carey turned the cards over to reveal that she had the letters to spell out “CAR,” meaning she had lost out on a brand new ride. Patrica put her head in her hands and fell to the stage in shock.

Fans took to the Instagram comments to share their reactions, with one commenter writing, “Would not have taken the 5 grand.”

“She Should’ve Gone With The Automobile,” said another.

“Car it’s not every day you have an opportunity to win a new car,” another added.

Another wrote, “I was hoping she went for the car because she had all 5 letters.”

“You don’t need the money just sell the car you get more money than five grand,” added one fan.

However, others agreed with Patricia’s decision, with one user writing, “$5,000 sounds like a win to me!”

“Correct choice perhaps. Depends on her situation. She has to pay taxes on it. And if she doesn’t want it – she’d have to sell it … not bad ….5k,” said another.

“Just Take The Money And Run!!!” added one commenter.

Another added, “I saw it today u can’t blame her sometimes it’s hard.”

“If you need the money, take it,” said one user.

The longtime news anchor signed off from the show on Thursday night (January 23) and even got a surprise from Oprah Winfrey during the broadcast.

“You have so much to be proud of,” Oprah said in a pre-taped message. “Your work as the anchor and managing editor of the CBS Evening News has not only won awards, but more importantly, has made such a difference and informed our nation.”

So, why did she leave the show? And what is she doing next?

Norah explained her exit in a statement back in July 2024.

“After this year’s election, I’ve decided I will be leaving my role as anchor and managing editor of the CBS Evening News to take on a new position at the network. We just celebrated an amazing five years together.
