Wheel of Fortune dropped the big news that Ryan, 48, will be taking over for Pat, 76, at the end of next season via Instagram.

The show wrote alongside a glammed-up photo of Ryan: “It’s official! Starting in 2024 Ryan Seacrest will take the stage as the new host of Wheel of Fortune. We’re so excited – Welcome Ryan!”

Ryan shared a statement to his Instagram confirming what many were wondering; if Vanna, 66, would remain at the puzzle board.

He posted a photo of the game’s centerpiece wheel while opening up about how much the role means to him.

‘WORKING ALONGSIDE THE GREAT VANNA’

Ryan wrote: “I’m truly humbled to be stepping into the footsteps of the legendary Pat Sajak.

“I can say, along with the rest of America, that it’s been a privilege and pure joy to watch Pat and Vanna on our television screens for an unprecedented 40 years.

He continued: “Pat, I love the way you’ve always celebrated the contestants and made viewers at home feel at ease. I look forward to learning everything I can from you during this transition.

“Many people probably don’t know this but one of my first jobs was hosting a little game show called ‘Click’ for Merv Griffin 25 years ago so this is truly a full circle moment for me and I’m grateful for Sony for the opportunity.

“I can’t wait to continue the tradition of spinning the wheel and working alongside the great Vanna White.”

‘NO ONE BETTER FOR THE JOB!’

“No one better for the job” one fan celebrated.

“Congratulations! Ryan is the hardest working and smartest working guy in the industry. Not many people can do what you do,” wrote another.

“So now make sure Vanna gets a raise!!!!” joked a third.

‘WONDERFUL RIDE’

Game show legend Pat began hosting in 1981 and has done so for 40 seasons with Vanna.

On June 12, 2023, Pat announced Wheel of Fortune’s 41st season will be his last.

Following his exit as host, a network representative revealed Sajak agreed to stay on the show as a consultant for three additional years.

Sajak told fans via Twitter: “Well, the time has come. I’ve decided that our 41st season, which begins in September, will be my last.

“It’s been a wonderful ride, and I’ll have more to say in the coming months.

“Many thanks to you all. (If nothing else, it’ll keep the clickbait sites busy!).”

VANNA ‘HIRES AGGRESSIVE LAWYER’

According to an earlier report from Puck News, Sony execs had considered eliminating her role if the new host turns out to be an established figure like Ryan.

The outlet also claimed that Vanna “hasn’t had a pay increase in 18 years.”

“Now with Pat leaving, Vanna has hired an aggressive new lawyer and is finally asking for more.”

Vanna “currently makes about $3 million a year for her duties on the syndicated Wheel, per multiple sources.”

“Sajak makes almost five times as much,” they claimed.

“She has reportedly hired high-powered litigator Bryan Freedman ” – who has also represented disgraced Jeopardy! producer-turned-brief host Mike Richards – “to sort out the pay discrepancy.”

A Sony rep told TV Line in response to the report that there “is no plan to eliminate Vanna’s role.”

“Sony is in active discussions to renew Vanna’s deal beyond her current contract.”

The ageless Vanna – whose contract is up in 2024 – earlier made it clear she wasn’t looking to go anywhere and called the idea of retiring depressing.

“That’s depressing. I don’t even want to think about it,” she said last year to People.

“It’s incredible. I cannot believe it’s been 40 years. Honestly, I’ve loved every minute of it,” she said.

“Who still says they love their job after 40 years? Me!”

‘IN IT FOR THE LONG HAUL’

This comes as Season 40 debuted a new puzzle board that Vanna technically doesn’t control.

But fans nor Vanna, it would seem, wanted the beloved presenter to go anywhere.

“The next year is going to be quite the ride, and Vanna wants to be a part of it all even after he leaves, and she hopes they don’t force her out,” a source told The Daily Mail.

“Vanna doesn’t want to leave Wheel of Fortune even after Pat’s announcement of retirement, and she would highly consider taking over his role as host on the show,” the insider added.

They said Vanna is “in it for the long haul,” and “would like to be a part of the selection process for Pat’s replacement, because if it is up to her, she is in it forever.”

“Some sources say he’s the frontrunner. Others say he is just one of many interested,” Lucas tweeted.

Sources familiar with the situation told TMZ: “Ryan is an option to replace Pat and he’s been talking to Sony about potentially taking over for the retiring host.”

Pat Sajak has moved on after Wheel of Fortune, and he’s got no interest in looking back. The former Wheel of Fortune host is enjoying retirement and has even lined up his first post-hosting gig. But new reports indicate Sajak and Ryan Seacrest might be feuding over his Wheel of Fortune exit.

Are Pat Sajak & Ryan Seacrest Feuding After Wheel of Fortune Exit?

Sajak has already lined up work after Wheel of Fortune, so he hasn’t exactly been sitting down waiting for Seacrest, who is set to take his place as the host of the long-running game shot, to ask for his advice. But if new reports are to be believed, he also has “no interest” in helping out Seacrest.

“He’s too busy having fun with all this newfound free time he’s got,” an insider told Closer Weekly, adding that “Pat won’t interfere” with the way things are now run.

That all sounds mostly benign, and if it were just that it would be understandable. Sajak did leave the Wheel of Fortune gig and, logically, he wants some separation from the job after all this time. But the insider also added that Sajak was “clearly resentful of the way he was treated and then kicked off the show.”

Seacrest and Sajak had said nothing but kind words about each other in public, but the source confirmed to Closer that “there’s no denying there’s a bitter satisfaction behind his [Sajak’s] motives.”

In the meantime, the source also added that “Ryan can reach out to Pat if he wants but asking isn’t getting. Pat’s always going to be busy, or he’ll brush Ryan off with a neutral, ‘You got this.”

Wheel of Fortune is set to premiere in the fall, with Seacrest as the host. Filming on the new season began on July 16th, and sources told Closer then that Seacrest understood he had big shoes to fill and was going all out. “He’s in full Mr. Nice Guy mode, putting on the charm, lavishing Vanna and everyone else on the show with his homemade cooking, bringing treats and the occasional gift just because he thought they would like it.”

And when the show premieres, Pat Sajak will be watching, the insider also said. “When Ryan takes over, Pat’s going to be watching and enjoying seeing how he fares in the hot seat which is full of challenges and not nearly as easy as he might think.”

On Tuesday, a video was posted to Wheel of Fortune’s official page.

It showed host Ryan, 49, giving a winner a trip to the iHeartRadio Music Awards, which he will also host.

As Ryan stood on set, a bright blue and yellow background was behind him, which is brand new this season.

Fans think that the set is too distracting and they can’t watch Wheel anymore because of it.

“Ryan is doing very well. However, the set is horribly distracting. It’s too hard to focus on the puzzle. I believe I’ve just watched my last WOF,” one Instagram user said.

“Way too bright!” said another.

“I really dislike the new set,” added a third.

“Still love the show…but the set is absolutely horrible!!! It makes me not want to watch the show!” a social media user said.

“I can NOT with the set!!! Such a disappointment. I changed it to Game Show Network to watch reruns,” wrote another.

“The new set is awful,” commented a fan.

This is not the first time fans have complained about the new set.

On the Season 42 premiere episode on September 9, Ryan and hostess Vanna White walked onto the stage, which included sliding doors center stage.

The screen showed all three contestants on their own panels as they solved puzzles.

Fans said they were “not impressed” and that it “hurt their eyes.”

Another new change to the set was that the letter board is digital and Vanna, 67, barely has to touch it.

HE’S NOT PAT

Ryan took over for Pat Sajak this season after the long-time host retired after 41 seasons.

Fans had mixed reactions to Ryan’s debut and many said that “he’s not Pat.”

“Ryan Seacrest is boring,” one critic said.

However, others said that they were impressed that Ryan was hosting with notecards.

“I gotta say…I don’t understand the hate – Ryan Seacrest isn’t that bad as host,” said an X user.

Wheel of Fortune airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ABC.

Wheel of Fortune’s behind-the-scenes taping secrets have been uncovered as many fans took notice of an obvious editing error during the latest gameshow episode.

During Ryan Seacrest’s second episode as the new host of the show, many viewers picked up on a glaring inconsistency in editing as players were spinning the wheel. In the clip, viewers noticed that the player’s spins were purposefully skipped leaving many to wonder why this sometimes occurs in the final edits of the show.

In a newly-posted Reddit thread, a user shared a recording of the editing error and asked: “Anybody notice the spin edit tonight?” And went on to add: “I know we’ve seen it on the Final Spin, but I’d never expect that in any other round.”

An anonymous user who claimed that they worked on set of the gameshow gave an explanation as to why these types of cuts sometimes take place. They explained: “I was at the taping. They edit out whenever there are three (or six) lost turns in a row that don’t add letters or change anyone’s score.”

They went on to explain why this specific choppy edit occurred as they wrote: “Blue hit the Bankrupt (and lost no money to it), Red spun $700 and called a wrong S, then Yellow spun $850 and called a wrong R. This is why they will never show the used letters on screen,” and added: “They also edited out nine lost turns from the round before this, as I detailed in a separate post here.”

This comes as many viewers also picked up on another blunder in the first episode of season 42 where they picked up on Ryan’s first “incorrect call” as host of the show. During his debut episode, long-time fans noticed that Ryan granted points to a contestant despite his mispronunciation of the answer. The mishap occurred during the show’s third puzzle under the food and drink category.

Contestant Terry Watson had mispronounced the puzzle which was “Vine-ripened tomatoes.” But despite the mispronunciation that was obvious to many viewers tuning in at home, Ryan seemed to accept the response and granted Terry the win. This led to many die-hard fans airing out their frustrations online as they hoped he wouldn’t let mistakes such as this slide in the future.

The former host of the show knew how to draw the attention to himself quite well.

Every game show host on American TV screens has a different personality, and fans have certain expectations from each of them. As opposed to someone like Steve Harvey, “Wheel of Fortune” host Pat Sajak was never known for making suggestive or x-rated comments. But the 78-year-old surprised everyone by passing an NSFW remark in an earlier episode of “Celebrity Wheel of Fortune.” One of the celebrities on the show was the frontman of the band Good Charlotte, Joel Madden. Between the games, the host asked Madden about hosting “Ink Master,” which featured up-and-coming tattoo artists.

As they spoke about tattoos, Sajak revealed that he wanted to get a tattoo of his co-host Vanna White on his chest. “I was going to have a little tattoo of Vanna put on my chest, but I didn’t,” he said. The Good Charlotte frontman then said that it wasn’t too late to get it done.

However, he could never have anticipated what the veteran host said next. “I was afraid it would take away from my nipple ring,” Sajak said, leaving the contestants in splits. The vocalist then composed himself and said, “I actually think it would complement the nipple rings.” The host then said that there was no need to talk about it anymore.

Although it was an awkward moment in the studio, fans on social media loved the segment and had fun in the comments under the clip. “This is the best banter ever 🤣,” one user commented as per Good Housekeeping. “This is phenomenal on multiple levels. You know I want to [see] the punk rock Pat 🤘🏼,” quipped another. “The fact that Pat said nipples on tantastic!” rpurrez05 commented.

However, this was not the wildest thing Sajak ever did on “Wheel of Fortune.” During his earlier days, the veteran host shocked everyone when he and Vanna White kissed out of the blue. It was an unexpected moment that has remained wildly popular with fans even after so many years. It happened at a time when he was being moved from daytime television to nighttime television, and the host was saying goodbye to his regular audience.

After he was done saying his bit, Sajak said that there were still a few seconds remaining before the show went off-air and went ahead with the kiss. He started off by saying, “So we have about 15 seconds left, I don’t know what…,” before turning to White and adding, “Come here, baby.” Much to the co-host’s surprise, he landed a kiss on her lips. It might not have been a real kiss, but fans loved the moment regardless.

“Come here baby!!! Haha such a historic moment! Vanna’s speech of Pat’s retirement, she mentioned Pat as a brother. I don’t think a brother or sister do that kiss. I always thought since I was a kid, that they were a couple,” one user commented. “Only Pat could get away with that,” quipped another.

‘Price is Right’ host Drew Carey reveals former fiancée’s murder ‘destroyed’ him, says he still doesn’t date

Drew Carey’s former fiancée, Amie Harwick, died after she was thrown over her third-floor balcony by her ex in February 2020

“The Price is Right” host Drew Carey made a vulnerable revelation about his former fiancée who was murdered in 2020.

Carey, 66, shared how his view on love was left “damaged” after the death of his ex, Amie Harwick.

“I think about her every day. It’s such a loss. Her death still affects me and my ideas about relationships and intimacy,” Carey told US Weekly in a new interview.

“It was all damaged by first our breakup, and then, the day before she died, when she texted me. It had been a really bad breakup for both of us, but a necessary one. I couldn’t think about her or see a picture of her. I didn’t want to be reminded.”

Carey said the text she sent him the day before she was killed caught him by surprise.

“She said, ‘Hey, it’s Amie. I’ve been thinking a lot about forgiveness. I would love to get together with you and talk about some things.’ I texted her that I loved her and that I’d see her the next week. I heard from one of her friends that she shed tears about my saying that I loved her still, which I did. I loved her madly even though we were broken up.”

When asked if Carey ever got final closure with Harwick, he replied, “The next day she was murdered, and we never got a chance to get together.”

Since her murder, Carey admitted, it’s been challenging to date other women.

“It destroyed me for a while. I still don’t date. I have women I go out with and spend time with, but it’s all platonic,” he said. “I don’t care about anything else. Amie’s death really affected everything.”

Harwick died Feb. 15, 2020, after she was thrown over her third-floor balcony.

She was found clinging to life beneath the bedroom balcony of her Hollywood Hills apartment. It was hours after Valentine’s Day, and police had received a report of a woman screaming.

Gareth Pursehouse, Harwick’s former boyfriend, was charged with murder and first-degree residential burglary with the special circumstance of lying in wait. He was arrested shortly after Harwick’s death and posted $2 million bond. He was arrested again on a no-bail warrant and was convicted of Harwick’s murder in September 2023.

In March, Carey said he could “finally move on” from the murder.

He explained that since Pursehouse’s conviction, he’s been able to “let out a breath.”

“I can barely remember the guy’s name — that’s how much I’ve put him out of my life — but ever since the final sentencing, it feels like we’ve all let out a breath and are able to finally move on,” Carey told People at the time.

“The whole process is over now, and there’s nothing else to be done and nothing else to worry about. …  Speaking just for myself, it’s been quite a load off.”

Although Carey and Harwick never made it down the aisle after their engagement in 2018, pictures of the former marriage and family therapist still remain in Carey’s home and close to his heart.

“She’s with me always,” he remarked.

‘Price is Right’ host Drew Carey seemed offended after reading what was written on player’s T-shirt

Carey made sure he kept reminding the contestant who the new legend on the show was.

Drew Carey may not be the first host of “The Price is Right” to gain widespread popularity across America, yubi, but he has definitely achieved iconic status on the small screen. He has done well to fill the shoes of legendary host Bob Barker, but comparisons between the two are natural from a fan’s point of view. Although most agree that both Carey and Barker are legends in their own right, there was a contestant who felt the latter had an edge over the current host.

The player named Jeffrey who appeared in Carey’s ‘birthday special’ episode, wore a t-shirt that seemingly offended the host and his team, as it compared him to Barker.

It wasn’t Jeffrey’s first time on the stage, and his shirt revealed that he was on the show 30 years ago, when Barker was the host. He had a picture of him and the legendary host printed on the front of his t-shirt, along with the year, 1994. “Wow, a young Jeffrey with Bob Barker!” Carey remarked as the player embraced him on stage. However, the mood changed as Carey looked at the back of Jeffrey’s t-shirt, which was blank except for the words “2024 with the soon-to-be legendary Drew Carey” printed at the top. As Carey read the line, the player explained that he needed a picture with him for the back of the t-shirt.

Carey’s smile vanished as he looked at the audience and asked, “Soon to be legendary?” Reading the room, Jeffrey just awkwardly laughed and clapped as he tried to hide behind Drew. The joke not only offended Carey, but it upset the show’s announcer George Gray as well. “That’s our show! Good night, everybody!” Gray joked, implying that Jeffrey wouldn’t be playing the game.

After the break, Carey said that Jeffrey had seemingly converted and he was now a fan of the ‘Legendary Drew Carey’. However, the host did not let the ‘legendary’ phrase go. “George, what do we have for Jeffrey here, who seems to have, converted,” the host said. He kept repeating the phrase as he introduced the “One Away” game that Jeffrey was about to play for a brand new Hyundai Elantra car. “There we have ‘soon to be legendary’ Manuela Arbeláez there,” Carey quipped. Carey then went on to explain the game, and before starting it, he joked, “That was a legendary explanation.”

 

In the “One Away” game, the contestant is shown a fake retail price of a car. Each of the digits is ‘one away’ from the correct digit, and the contestant has to move them ‘up or down’ to land on the correct prize.

In Jeffrey’s game, he got four out of the five digits right. He was then given a chance to change one of the numbers to get the correct price. While he seemed confident about the change, he failed to land on the correct number and lost the car.

Nevertheless, the player got to share the stage with both legendary hosts of the show, and he revealed that he previously won a car, so it wasn’t all bad.

The puzzle of Greg Gutfeld’s sudden disappearance from Fox News has finally been unravelled, catching viewers completely off-guard.

The 60-year-old host had been missing from ‘The Five’ for an extended period, leaving audiences to wonder whether he had been let go by the network.

Contrary to speculation, Greg wasn’t fired – his absence stemmed from a very different, and for fans, shockingly delightful reason.

On Tuesday’s broadcast, co-host Dana Perino shared a statement from Greg revealing that he and his wife Elena Moussa, 42, are celebrating the arrival of a baby girl.

“This is going to be a great surprise for a lot of you,” Dana said, noting: “You might have noticed that our friend Greg Gutfeld hasn’t been here for a couple of weeks, and it’s for a good reason.

“This is a statement that he sent me today. So I’m reading this as if I’m Greg,” she prefaced before delivering the news. “It is with great joy that my wife Elana and I have welcomed a baby girl into the world. Mira is healthy with a real set of lungs.”

In typical fashion, Greg’s announcement included a touch of humor: “She has Elana’s beautiful eyes and my rock-hard abs. We are hard at work teaching her three languages and putting her through rigorous workout routines,” reports the Express US. Additionally, he couldn’t resist playfully jabbing at fellow presenter Jesse Watters.

“She is already very observant and has asked if Jesse wears a toupee. I told her that he definitely wears a wig,” Greg’s message teased.

TV personality Greg Gutfeld took to social media to share personal news, ending his post with a touch of humor about his French Bulldog: “As you can understand, we value our privacy, and we thank everyone for the good wishes. And now I have to go stop Gus from licking her face.”

The couple tied the knot in 2004 and later moved to New York City.

Fox News Media’s Media Relations Manager said, “I can confirm that this report is false” (via Lead Stories).

False reports claimed that Sean Hannity had a dispute with Dana Perino over the CBD product controversy. The rumors alleged that Hannity became angry about the product and pursued legal action against Perino, but no evidence supports these claims. Hannity has not addressed the rumors, and Perino has not publicly mentioned any disagreement between them.

Perino has been with Fox News since 2009 after serving as White House press secretary under President George W. Bush. CBS’ ‘Poppa’s House’ Adds a Third Wayans in Guest Role

Marlon Wayans will join his brother Damon and nephew Damon Jr. on an episode of the sitcom.

CBS‘ Poppa’s House is about to become even more of a Wayans family affair.

Marlon Wayans has signed on for a guest role on the first-year comedy, joining his brother Damon Wayans and nephew Damon Wayans Jr. His episode is scheduled to air in February.

In the installment, Marlon will play Melvin, Poppa’s (Wayans Sr.) ne’er-do-well brother who comes to visit the family and pitch a new business idea. Poppa warns everyone not to trust Melvin, but Ivy (Essence Atkins) and Junior (Wayans Jr.) want to believe he’s changed.

The episode will also be a reunion for Marlon Wayans and Atkins, who starred together on NBC’s Marlon for two seasons in 2017-18.

Poppa’s House has slotted into CBS’ Monday lineup, where it’s paired with The Neighborhood, fairly seamlessly in the early part of the season. The network ordered additional episodes of the show in November, bringing the total to 18 for its inaugural season. Tetona Jackson stars with Damon Wayans Sr. and Jr. and Atkins; Dean Lorey executive produces alongside Wayans and Wayans Jr.

Marlon Wayans is currently writing a Scary Movie reboot with brothers Keenen and Shawn and Rick Alvarez. He stars in the psychological thriller Him from Jordan Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions and director Justin Tipping, due for release next year, and had a recurring role on season three of Peacock’s Bel-Air. He’s repped by 3 Arts Entertainment, UTA and Yorn Levine.
