Ken Jennings marked his 25th wedding anniversary with wife Mindy Jennings in a rare Instagram post on Sept. 20
The couple met in college and tied the knot in 2000, although they have kept their relationship private
They also share two children together, son Dylan and daughter Caitlin

Ken Jennings and wife Mindy Jennings are celebrating 25 years together!

The Jeopardy! winner-turned-host, 51, shared a sweet Instagram post on Saturday, Sept. 20, wishing Mindy a happy wedding anniversary. Alongside the caption was a rare selfie of the couple in front of the Sydney Opera House in Australia.

“I’m not sure where the years went or how I got this lucky, but this marriage is officially 25 years old,” Ken wrote. “It can now rent a car!”

He added: “(This week is also the 25th anniversary of the Sydney Olympics, but that’s not why we’re here. That would be a weird system for planning an anniversary trip.)”

The pair met when they both attended Brigham Young University for college, although it took Ken nine months after revealing his intentions to ask Mindy out to her roommate for him to actually do so. They got engaged while at BYU and tied the knot shortly after graduating together in 2000.

Mindy, who previously worked as a preschool teacher, keeps a low profile — she hasn’t made any public appearances with Ken over the years and she doesn’t have public social media accounts. In 2013, she offered a small look into their relationship, explaining what her first impression of the game show icon was.

“He mostly wanted people to know he was funny,” she told Buzzfeed at the time. “He’s not the type of person who wants you to know he knows everything.”

Ken and Mindy share two children together: son Dylan, born in 2002, and daughter Caitlin, born in 2006. Not much is known about the kids, although Ken shared an update on Dylan’s life in October 2022. The post featured a photo of his older child wearing a Seattle Mariners baseball jersey at a ball game.

“The last time his team made it to the playoffs, this guy wasn’t born yet. He just started his sophomore year of college. Congrats @Mariners!” the father of two captioned it.

In 2021, Ken also gave some insight into his parenting style and opened up about what surprised him most about becoming a dad.

“The constant change: People tend to remember their childhood as a constant, steady state, but when you see a kid from a parent’s eye, you realize there’s a new interest or a new quirk every few weeks,” Ken told Yahoo! Life. “It’s eye-opening how your own perception of childhood maybe isn’t that accurate. You need to be ready for your kid to have a new challenge or obsession monthly — or more.”

“Parenting is always a moving target: you’re really just responding to the current needs of the kid, which might be different [needs] than six months ago,” he continued. “So it’s a lot of listening, because the kid will tell you what you need — but it’s not going to be what you expect and it’s not what you remember you needing at their age.”

Ken Jennings Roasts His Worst-Ever ‘Jeopardy!’ Outfits

Ken Jennings reviewed the outfits her wore during his 75-game Jeopardy! run. The game show host roasted what were some of his worst and questioned why he wore them.

“Ken Jennings is throwing a fit… back to the early 2000s! Which look is your favorite? 😅 #Jeopardy!” the Instagram post was captioned. Jennings sat down to watch the clips of him and give input.

The first clip was of him in a tan button-down shirt and a tie with Coca-Cola bottles on it. “If I’m seeing that right, that is a terrible tie,” current-day Ken Jennings said. “And really, it’s a color of shirt I would never wear.” “I guess if you like Coca-Cola, you’re into that outfit. That’s really unfortunate.”

“I feel like maybe I should be wearing some sweaters,” the host said. In the next clip, Jennings wore a suit jacket, white shirt, and pink paisley tie. “At least there, I’m wearing a jacket. A lot of these were like cheap dollar ties, probably from when I lived in Korea, and you could get knockoff clothes for cheap.” He thought that none of the ties he wore on the game show cost more than $3. “And it really shows,” he said.

The third clip showed Jennings wearing a maroon shirt and a tie with red, gray, and black stripes. “Wow! Horizontal stripes, so it’s not exactly slimming. It does go with the shirt, but in an unpleasant way.”

“It looks like I’m wearing the Empire State Building on my chest,” he insulted himself.

The next one had Ken Jennings in a striped shirt and patterned tie. “This one is alright, but it still looks like some kid is wearing his dad’s clothes and not blinking.”

For the next one, he wore a yellow shirt and a tie with a bunch of faces on it. “I’m surprised they even let me wear that because it was so bright,” Ken Jennings said.

“I think I was just trying to vary as much as possible. You don’t want to wear the same six shirts because the audience will catch on to that. So, instead, I wore new, worse shirts,” he joked.

Fans don’t want to come on down to play The Price Is Right’s new betting game!

Host Drew Carey unveiled The Lion’s Share, a new challenge in partnership with BetMGM, on Monday, September 22, which he boasted “might be the greatest game we’ve ever had.”

     Instagram/therealpriceisright

The first contestant to play had to guess the cost of a series of household items in order to earn the chance to grab five of 40 balls that were being blown around in an air chamber.

The numbered balls each represented a prize, which was then uncovered on a giant digital screen. She won a trip to Tokyo, a hot tub, electric guitars and cash.

     Instagram/therealpriceisright

While some fans on Instagram gushed about how “cool” and “fun” the new game looks, others were skeptical.

“Beyond the gross feeling sponsorship on a pricing game I also call predetermined BS on this game,” wrote one. “Unless they change it to show us what’s revealed behind each uncalled number this will always feel like a predetermined scam.”

Another agreed that the “fact they don’t even tell you what all the available prizes are is sketchy to begin with.”

A commenter on Reddit slammed the “horrendous” game for taking “too long,” and betting “too easy.”

Still others were disappointed in the show’s partnership with the betting site.

“I am shocked and saddened,” wrote a third self-professed longtime viewer. “Why would CBS sell their soul to MGM Resorts International who preys on people to gamble their lives away? CBS you should be ashamed.”

The show featured a PSA urging those with a gambling problem to call 1-800-Gambler.

The Voice hit by unexpected upset ahead of season 28 shake-up

The NBC competition show has fallen behind

Is The Voice losing its appeal?

The beloved NBC music competition has been on the air since 2011 for 27 seasons, when the founding judges were Christina Aguilera, Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, and CeeLo Green.

In that time, it has earned a whopping 86 Emmy nominations across the awards’ many categories, however, that wasn’t the case this year.

For the first time since 2012, The Voice didn’t earn any nominations within the Television Academy’s main awards, losing out on its chance to win its fourth Emmy.

It did however earn some Creative Arts nods, the branch of the Emmys that focuses on technical, creative and craft categories, including Outstanding Picture Editing for a Structured Reality or Competition Program, Outstanding Hairstyling for a Variety, Nonfiction, or Reality Program, Outstanding Lighting Design/Lighting Direction for a Series, Outstanding Sound Mixing for a Reality Program, Outstanding Technical Direction and Camerawork for a Series.

In place of The Voice, Survivor is back in the game in the Outstanding Reality Competition Program category, after failing to earn a nomination last year.

Others in the category are RuPaul’s Drag Race, Shark Tank, Top Chef, and fan favorite The Traitors.

    What’s next for season 28

The Emmys upset comes amid a major cast change for the upcoming 28th season, as not one, not two, but three of the four judges are not coming back, making Michael Bublé, who first joined for season 26 in 2024, the only judge staying on.

Nick Jonas was a judge on various seasons of ‘The Voice’

Adam, a founding judge alongside Blake, who has since also left the show, initially departed in 2019, and this season was his first (and apparently only) back on the chair. He confirmed as much during an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, declaring: “I am gonna confirm the rumors are true.” He added: “The rumors are correct. There are details. I cannot divulge all the details.”

Meanwhile Kelsea Ballerini, who made her debut as judge this season, is eager to lay low for a while. Speaking with ExtraTV, she confessed: “I’m going to hibernate for a while,” and emphasized she is going to “disappear for a bit.”

Last but certainly not least, John Legend is also leaving, however he has been more mum about it and what his summer plans are. While he hasn’t opened up much about it this time around, he has taken breaks from The Voice before, and when he didn’t come back for season 26, he told Entertainment Tonight: “We’ve always got so many things going on. I’ll be doing a lot of shows this summer and traveling overseas this summer.”

As for who to expect on the judges panel next season alongside Michael? Well three may be leaving, but expect some familiar faces back on those swivel chairs! Previous judges and fan-favorites Reba McEntire, Niall Horan and Snoop Dogg have all been confirmed to be coming back for season 28.

The Voice Coach’s Marriage Ends After 5 Years, Revealing a Private Struggle

“The Voice” Coach Faces Personal Turmoil: Marriage Ends After Half a Decade, Impacting Public Persona. A prominent coach on the widely popular singing competition “The Voice” is reportedly undergoing a divorce after five years of marriage, a development that casts a personal shadow over their otherwise vibrant public image. Sources close to the celebrity indicate the separation, prompting reflection on the pressures faced by public figures balancing professional success with private struggles under intense media scrutiny.

Sadly, one of The Voice coaches is currently facing divorce. Undeniably, separation can take its toll on anyone, but having a highly visible life adds even more pressure. However, after five years, one coach is mutually parting ways with their spouse.

    Til Death Do Us Part

While vowing to stay together forever is a pretty common exchange at a wedding, unfortunately, it doesn’t always work out that way. After giving marriage a five-year shot, The Voice coach Chance the Rapper and his wife, Kirsten Corley, are moving forward with divorce. On Wednesday, April 3, Chance and Kirsten took to Instagram to inform the public. Saying, “After a period of separation, the two of us have arrived at the decision to part ways.” Furthermore, their joint Instagram Stories state, “We came to this decision amicably and with gratitude for the same time we spent together.”

Additionally, The Voice coach, aka, Chancelor Johnathan Bennett, and longtime friend and wife, Kirsten Corley, will still be linked after the divorce. While the couple’s decision to split doesn’t come easily, they will continue to co-parent even after their divorce. They say, “God has blessed us with two beautiful daughters who we will continue to raise together.” Both Chance and Kirsten request space for them to process upcoming challenges with their daughters: Kensli, 7, and Marli, 4. Further asking fans to give them “privacy and respect as we navigate this transition.”

Chance Knew Their Marriage Was His Destiny

Although the marriage between The Voice coach and musician, Chance The Rapper, is ending, he has many good memories. Previously, Chance discusses meeting Kirsten Corley when they were kids. Correspondingly, he remembers he was just 9 years old. Specifically, the duo met in 2003 while attending one of his mom’s real estate work parties. Furthermore, he tweeted in March 2019 some of his fond memories. First, he recalls, “locking eyes with the prettiest girl I ever seen in my almost-a-decade of life on earth.” She was performing a Destiny’s Child song with her friends as entertainment for the party.

But Chance also says, “I really shouldn’t even say locked eyes cause really, I was just staring at her; as she and her girls were conquering this choreography and mastering the art of lip-synching in a way even the most professional performers have yet to accomplish.” Good luck to both Chance the Rapper and Kirsten Corley as they hold on to the good times and continue forward.

    Tune In For The Voice

Catch Chance the Rapper on The Voice as he continues with his career while they work through the divorce. He rejoined the show saying, “I really love doing the show for a lot of reasons, and I think one of them is just the creative outlet that you get in collaborating with Artists, on re-imagining songs with The Voice band, which is one of the greatest bands and always has the greatest players on TV.” Notably, from April 1 to April 29, The Voice Season 25 will only air once a week. It is on Mondays at 8/7c with the Knockouts and then the Playoffs. Then, the Live Shows will begin on May 6. At that point, Season 25 will air twice a week again, on Mondays and Tuesdays at 8/7c on NBC.

Judges may come and go, but ‘The Voice’ shall continue. Over the last 27 seasons, the singing competition has welcomed many new and returning celebrity coaches, including pop icon Camila Cabello.

The ‘Havana’ hitmaker joined Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani, and John Legend as a first-time coach in season 22.

She brought a new wave of cheerfulness and spontaneity with her amazing sense of humor and presence of mind. Her banter, especially with Shelton, was highly appreciated by the fans. However, it’s been a while since she appeared on the show, and the fans believe it will remain that way.

‘The Voice’ coaches tend to do more than one season, and some even sign for a multiple-season deal. But Cabello is certainly an exception, as fans claim she may never return. “I hope Camilla comes back,” the Reddit channel for ‘The Voice’ wrote, prompting discussion. “I doubt that I think there was a falling out behind the scenes between her and the voice because she no longer follows the voice on Instagram, the only coach to ever do so,” one Reddit user replied. Another internet user pointed out that the ‘My Oh My’ singer never spoke about the show since appearing on a season. “I think Ariana has more of a chance of coming back than (sic) Camilla,” another fan claimed.

One social media user alleged that Cabello would “never” return to ‘The Voice.’ “My source at the voice said Camila is never coming back. He wouldn’t tell me why, but all he said was that she was the worst coach they ever had,” the same user added. “I’m not sure what exactly happened, but I am guessing behind-the-scenes stuff? I really like her and liked her on the show, so it’s a bummer,” the fan added. Cabello’s season welcomed some amazing and young talents, and many of them chose her as their mentor. Although the team she led was arguably one of the strongest, she couldn’t win the title.

Blake Shelton’s team was considered weak compared to other seasons, but he ended up winning with wildcard contestant, Bryce Leatherwood.

The latter’s Country music flair and overall swag made America fall in love with him. Leatherwood was the ninth and final winner from team Shelton until his retirement.

The legendary Country singer stepped down as a coach after season 23 to spend more quality time with his family. He tied the knot to fellow coach, Gwen Stefani, in 2021 and became stepdad to her three sons: Kingston, Zuma, and Apollo.

The Voice Season 28 continued on Sept. 23 with Blind Auditions from musical acts looking for their big break in the recording industry. In a new twist unveiled on the Sept. 22 “Blind Auditions Premiere,” host Carson Daly activated his one-use “Carson Callback,” allowing him to offer alt-rock artist Ryan Mitchell a chance at auditioning again with a new song after failing to get a chair turn from any of the coaches. Ryan and five other artists competed Monday night hoping to catch the ears of coaches Michael BubléReba McEntireNiall Horan, and Snoop Dogg.

In this first round, the coaches will have their backs turned to the auditioning artists. If they like what they’re hearing and are interested in working with the performers, the would-be coaches can press their button. If multiple coaches turn their chair, the artist chooses which team to join. This season, each coach has one block to keep another coach from claiming an artist. By the end of the round, each coach will have hand-picked 12 artists to join their team.
