Wheel of Fortune host Pat Sajak taken aback after contestant reveals past incident with Vanna White on their honeymoon

A WHEEL of Fortune contestant has revealed that Pat Sajak and Vanna White crashed her honeymoon, and her husband nearly crashed into Vanna.

The hilarious and sweet moment comes as the duo’s long time together is ending and Pat, 77, is retiring on June 7, 2024.

Pat kicked things off on Tuesday night by interviewing the mom-of-two and asked, “Now Vanna and I were on your honeymoon?”

The broadcast cut to Vanna, 66, who threw up her arms and looked caught off-guard, unsure what was coming.

The contestant explained that their honeymoon coincidentally came as the iconic duo was filming a commercial spot.

She said, “So when my husband and I went on our honeymoon, you guys were filming promos there.

“So we watched you film by the pool, on the beach, and even one night we were having dinner.

“I excused myself from the table, and when I came back, my husband told me, ‘I nearly walked into Vanna. And I had no idea.’”

Pat replied, laughing, “Well there you go, I’m glad we could be a part of your honeymoon, and I’m sorry about knocking on the wall the way I did.”

Laura went to the bonus round with the highest score of $38,030, a trip to the Caribbean, and was joined by her husband offsides, whom Pat called “my old friend.”

Laura could not solve the tough puzzle as “Whirwild Year,” but Pat admitted the $40,000 bonus prize she missed out on was nearly equal to what she won.

    PAT’S WRAPPED FILMING

Meanwhile, Pat has not only set his last day as host but taped his farewell episode, The U.S. Sun can exclusively reveal.

He will bid farewell to the masses at the end of Season 41 on Friday, June 7, 2024.

But a rep for Wheel of Fortune exclusively confirmed to The U.S. Sun that Pat has filmed his last slate of six episodes on April 5, 2024.

This includes his final episode, fittingly titled “Thanks For The Memories,” and is already filmed, the show exclusively shared.

That means Pat is done hosting the show and the episodes fans are seeing come as he’s already retired.

The episode will be a TV milestone as the host has doled out puzzles and prizes alongside Vanna White, 66, since 1981 and 1982 respectively.

The show did not share if Pat’s farewell episode will be an all-out tribute with memories from over the years or simply a normal game ending with him saying goodbye.

Tickets for Pat’s penultimate five episodes were opened to the public at the last minute, while his farewell episode was reportedly not open to the public and was invite only.

Pat announced in spring of 2023 that he’d be leaving the iconic game show and that Season 41 would be his last.

Shortly after, Ryan Seacrest announced on Instagram that he would replace Pat as the new host come fall 2024.

Vanna will be joining Ryan for at least his first two seasons as host under her new contract.

The show airs weekdays at 7:30 pm ET on ABC, so fans can catch his sendoff on June 7 at that time.

Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos are giving Vanna White a friendly word of warning regarding her new co-host Ryan Seacrest.

During Thursday’s episode of Live with Kelly and Mark, the eponymous co-hosts filled in the Wheel of Fortune mainstay on some of Seacrest’s quirks they discovered over his six-season run on the daytime talk show.

When White, 66, revealed the two were in communications, Ripa 53, added how happy she was to hear that the 48-year-old television personality was cast to succeed Pat Sajak.

“I was very happy because when a host leaves and another host comes in, you never know what you’re gonna get,” she explained. “And I thought, ‘Pat is such a nice guy’ so I’m happy that the new version of Pat would also be a nice guy.”

White then asked Ripa to “tell me everything” about her new co-host, to which Consuelos, 52, stepped in and ironically claimed, “He can’t spell.”

“What!?” she exclaimed as Ripa agreed.

Consuelos asked if she noticed his terrible spelling during their text conversations, and though White didn’t notice anything out of the ordinary, she noted, “Maybe he’s on his best behavior?”

“Maybe he’s dictating a text and somebody’s typing it for him,” Ripa continued. “Because I will say — and I can say this freely, we all have experienced it here — when Ryan Seacrest texts you, you say to yourself, ‘This person is trying to tell me something.’ That’s the first thing is that you realize that Ryan is trying to tell you something, but oftentimes, you just don’t know what that is.”

After thanking Ripa and Consuelos for their warnings, White revealed she doesn’t tire from playing word games despite her tenure on Wheel of Fortune and shared that she often plays Wordle and Words with Friends.

“Spelling is not my strong suit,” Ripa said, as White and Consuelos bonded over their shared love of word games. “I’m abysmal at spelling. Even when the puzzle is solved on Wheel of Fortune, it takes me a minute to figure out what it says. Like, I’m not kidding.”

She added, “I’m not proud of it. Mark goes, ‘What do you mean you don’t understand what that says?’”

Back in July, Sony Pictures Television announced that Seacrest had been tapped as Sajak’s replacement on Wheel of Fortune after he announced he would be stepping back as host after a 40-year-long run.

Last month, the American Idol host corroborated Ripa and Consuelos’ observations and told PEOPLE he felt performance anxiety about stepping into Sajak’s role.

“I’m sure I will get nervous jitters,” he said. “The show has been a staple for people and myself and my family forever. And so you just want to walk out there and do what’s been happening for so many years and not screw it up.”

“Actually, I’m a terrible speller,” Seacrest confessed. “But, on the show I’m better than on my cell phone when I type or text.”

Live with Kelly and Mark airs weekday mornings on ABC. Wheel of Fortune airs weekdays at 7 p.m. ET on ABC.

Cameras caught Ryan Seacrest crying as he opened up about some of the encounters through Seacrest Studios, which are located at several Children’s hospitals across the country.

Ryan runs a foundation with his parents and sister called the Ryan Seacrest Foundation. Although he is known for his incredible hosting skills on television, Ryan also has a heart for sick children.

There is a place called Seacrest Studios that is inside of Children’s Hospital. And Ryan Seacrest starts crying as he talks about his experiences there. He gets emotional as he recalls seeing the challenge on a mom and dad’s face who are walking through their child’s sickness. Ryan shares that a boy told him it was going to be a great Christmas because he “got approved to get new lungs.” Perspective is everything.

A young boy named Payson Inkley comes into the studio. He talks for a moment to encourage other kids to make their day better. Ryan gives the boy dressed in a button-down shirt and tie a hug and promotes his skills.

The child beams with excitement. Ryan then reveals that he is going to be the new host for Wheel of Fortune. He is very complimentary of Pat Sajak and shares his excitement to work alongside Vanna White, calling her a “national treasure.”

Ryan tells of the importance of giving back when you are given some success in life. He desires to help others find happiness, too.

It is so valuable as believers in Christ to love others well by seeing them, giving your time to them, blessing them financially, and praying for them. Even if we do not have the physical resources that Ryan has, we have our faith in Jesus to come alongside those in need and love them well.

“Wheel of Fortune” might have made history on Thursday for one of the most mystifying answers ever given by a contestant.

Things got X-rated on the family-friendly game show when a contestant named Tavaris misidentified a popular phrase.

    Vanna White, as always, was on hand to reveal part of the phrase. The board read: _ _ _ _ /I _ /T _ E /B _ _ T!

Wide shot of Wheel of Fortune set with three contestants and Vanna White waiting to fill in the blank

Tavaris took a look at the game board, quickly buzzing in that he had the answer.

“Right in the butt,” he said with confidence, until fellow contestant Tyra, on the opposite side of the stage, audibly expressed her bewilderment. The audience collectively guffawed at the awkward moment.

“What?” she said. The camera then panned to Tavaris, who looked like a deer in headlights.

SNL, Tom Hanks make MAGA angry with “Black Jeopardy!” Sketch. Here’s all you need to know

SNL, Tom Hanks Triggered MAGA Meltdown with “Black Jeopardy!” Sketch

SNL 50: During the 50th anniversary event, MAGA folks went into meltdown mode over SNL’s “Black Jeopardy!” sketch and Tom Hanks’ Doug.

If you got a chance to check out SNL50: The Anniversary Special on Sunday night, then you know that NBC’s Saturday Night Live went above any beyond to offer an anniversary show worthy of the milestone moment.

One of the sketches that really hit home was “Black Jeopardy!,” which saw Kenan Thompson, Eddie Murphy, Tracy Morgan, Leslie Jones, and Chris Rock twisting the comedic knife by calling out SNL’s less-than-impressive track record when it came to hiring Black writers and cast members – with Murphy dropping an amazing impression of Morgan.

But what’s got Donald Trump‘s MAGA cult clutching their pearls and fanning themselves was the return of Tom Hanks‘ MAGA hat-wearing Doug – but for this go-around, Doug doesn’t seem too interested in building bridges anymore.

At one point in the sketch, Thompson’s game show host, Darnell Hayes, goes over to shake Doug’s hand – but Doug backs away, making it clear that he’s not into that. “Don’t like that, whoa, whoa, whoa,” Doug responds, hands in the air. Eventually, he and Hayes shake hands – but the days of community and bringing everyone together are clearly over for Doug. “Maybe I’ll start a show for you to come on and we’ll call it ‘White Jeopardy,’” Doug throws out – before Hayes takes a hard pass.

Well, you can only imagine how a whole lot of fragile-as-snowflakes “MAGA-tiers” would be upset about being labeled a racist – especially those with confederate flags on display in their social media.

And it’s not just SNL that they’re pissed at – when it comes to Hanks, they’ve decided to take their box of chocolates and go home, claiming to be done with the actor (until Forrest Gump 2: Even Gumpier comes out, that is).

Drew Carey Reveals The ‘Price Is Right’ Cheating Scare You Didn’t See On TV

If you thought Plinko was safe, plink again.

The price was rigged, according to comedian Drew Carey.

The “Price is Right” host recently joined “Jeff and Larry’s Comedy Roundup” on Sirius XM and brought up how a near-scandal almost rocked the game of Plinko.

Yep. If you thought Plinko was safe from controversy, plink again.

The Price Is Right: Drew Carey's favorite moments

In the “Price is Right” game, contestants try to drop chips down a board, hoping to land them in a $10,000 slot. Carey recalled that at the start of his second season of taking over hosting from Bob Barker (which would be 2008), one contestant was getting unusually lucky.

“There’s a college girl that got to play Plinko, and she dropped her first three chips right down in the $10,000 spot,” Carey said.

In just three chips, the contestant had apparently obliterated the previous Plinko record.

“People were on their feet, jumping up and down and cheering. I mean, the crowd was going wild. She dropped the fourth chip, the floor director comes over, stops the chip, and leans in to me and he goes, ‘The game is fixed,’” Carey said.

All that excitement was gone in the plink of an eye. The sanctity of the game came under question, and Carey was wrecked.

“‘I’m going to jail. I’m losing my job. There’s gonna be a scandal,’ all these emotions going through my head,” he explained.

Apparently, it was more of an honest mistake. Prior to the season, the show had shot a commercial for a “Price is Right” video game and rigged the game with fishing line to have a $10,000 winner every time. But the fishing line was so thin that no one noticed it to take it off later.

The show briefly stopped while everyone decided what to do.

“Off-camera, we gave her the $30,000,” Carey explained, saying they wanted to honor her winnings but couldn’t have them count for her overall total, as that can determine how a contestant does later in the show.

They gave the contestant new game chips, no one at home was the wiser, and the honor of Plinko was once again restored.

‘The Price Is Right’ Contestant Throws Brutal Shade At Drew Carey And His Career

If there’s one thing to know about The Price is Right host Drew Carey, it’s that the comedian certainly knows how to take a joke.

Carey was in for a surprise during Tuesday’s (July 2) episode when third-year Ph.D. student Lillian Brown took the stage to school him.

Price Is Right' contestant takes jab at host Drew Carey

Brown was enjoying a successful run on the show when Carey pointed out that her Ph.D. from Northwestern University may be giving her a leg up.

“We might as well not even keep going but . . . OK, OK. You have a Ph.D.,” he said to her.

He then asked, “I was thrown out of college twice. What’s the opposite of a Ph.D.?”

Brown promptly replied with a brutal diss against the Price is Right host. “A talk show host,” she said.

Carey couldn’t help but laugh along with Brown and the Price is Right audience. “You know what? I’m not smart enough to be a talk show host,” he admitted after keeling over with laughter.

The game show host has become known for his banter with the contestants.

Speaking to TV Insider recently, Carey praised the show’s live audience, even if they do sometimes show up a bit drunk or high.

“That’s a favorite part of the show,” he said of the show’s live audience. “They’re normal people that live normal lives. This is average America right here. There are no CEOs, ultra-rich upper management… These are middle class, working class. Every religion. It’s a cross-section of America.”

Per TV Insider’s reporting, Carey films three episodes a day, each with a new audience. But he regularly spends the commercial breaks walking through the audience to chat and joke with the crowd.

When asked how he deals with contestants who use a little “liquid courage” to compete on the show, Carey admitted that it “happens here all the time.”

“They’ll have a gummy or I’ll smell alcohol on their breath. Not unusual,” he said.

Carey even recalled one contestant competed on the show while “tripping on mushrooms.”

Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson “stormed out” of a Saturday Night Live 50th anniversary event in a comedic bit that had the audience in stitches.

The Hollywood couple left their seats and headed to the back of the auditorium when host Jimmy Fallon told the audience that the three-hour SNL concert would not be handing out any awards.

Fallon said: “Apparently, there’s been some confusion. This is just a concert. We’re not giving out any awards tonight. So I just want to make sure that everyone knows that.”

At this stage, in a clip that’s circulated online, both Hanks and Wilson could be seen jokingly walking out of the Radio City Music Hall venue in New York, with Wilson wagging her finger at the camera.

“Tom? Rita?” Fallon said, playing along, adding: “We lost Tom Hanks and Rita. Sorry. It wasn’t their fault.”

Over the years, Hanks has hosted SNL 10 times through the years and made numerous cameos, most recently in December 2024. This has comfortably earned him a spot in the Five-Timers Club club, reserved for stars who have hosted the show five times or more.

Other members include Bill Murray, Drew Barrymore, Melissa McCarthy and Dwayne Johnson.

The star-studded event saw several key figures from the history of SNL grace the stage, with former cast members Amy Poehler, Eddie Murphy, Molly Shannon, Kristen Wiig, Adam Sandler, Will Ferrell, Maya Rudolph, Pete Davison and Tracy Morgan all participating.

Elsewhere, Tina Fey, Will Forte, Kate McKinnon, Andy Sandberg, Seth Meyers, Kenan Thompson, Jason Sudeikis, Fred Armisen and Chris Rock also made appearances – but the omission of Bill Hader was not lost on the sketch show’s fans, who begged for the Barry actor to return.

Radner and Belushi have since died. Aykroyd’s absence from the list of returning cast members was unclear, though he posted enthusiastically about the 50th anniversary on social media last week.
