American Idol judge and one of the most famous Popstars, Katy Perry, is currently making headlines for all the wrong reasons. She is drawing a lot of backlash over her ‘mean comments’ on one of the contestants who appeared in American Idol & netizens are leaving no stone unturned in calling out the singer. Scroll below to read the details!

Katy, who undeniably enjoys a huge fanbase and is known for her encouraging comments for the contestants, recently left everyone shocked after she negatively responded to a musician’s audition. Sara Beth, a mother of three, auditioned in front of the judges and revealed she wasn’t sure if winning American Idol was her dream.

To which Katy gave an honest reaction to her without mincing her words & many found it rude.

Among a lot of other things during the audition of American Idol, Katy Perry was heard saying, “Feel like a comic strip character just came to life. Look, if it’s not your dream, it’s not going to go far. Because I also respect everyone that’s walking through the door who will lay down their life for his golden ticket, you know?” As soon as the audition clip was shared on the internet, netizens were quick to react. Many found her comments extremely rude & didn’t leave the chance to call out the singer.

Katy Perry Reacts As Sara Beth Liebe Quits American Idol After Her 'Mom-Shaming' Remark: "Self-Love Is Just As Big As Motherly Love"
One of the users wrote, “I am so disappointed in how judges seemed to go out of their way to judge her before they had anything to actually judge. After she sang her pure heart out, the judges acted like they needed to save face and stay rude towards her instead of acknowledging they might have jumped the gun forming an opinion too quickly.”

The user further added, “I appreciated how authentic she remained throughout the audition and didn’t filter her answer to appease what the judges wanted to hear. Auditioning is proof that it’s her dream otherwise she wouldn’t have auditioned for it. Shame on Katy Perry especially.”

Katy Perry’s financial game is as iconic as her music. From her chart-topping hits to her savvy business ventures, she’s mastered turning fame into fortune. As a judge on American Idol, she not only spotted talent but also boosted her own brand. Along with her successful fragrance line and fashion collaborations, she’s proven that pop stardom can extend far beyond the stage.

Her Vegas residency? A solid income stream that keeps her in the spotlight. And let’s not forget her work with brands like CoverGirl, making her a household name in more ways than one. With a brilliant mix of investments and strategic partnerships, Katy Perry has built an empire that blends entertainment with entrepreneurship. Whether performing on stage or making moves in the business world, she’s clearly set herself up for a long-lasting financial legacy.

What Is Katy Perry’s Net Worth In 2025?

Katy Perry’s net worth in 2025 is a cool $400 million, as per Celebrity Net Worth, and it’s no surprise. Her musical magic brought in megabucks, but her business-savvy attitude is really stacking up the cash. From smashing tour records to signing endorsement deals with the likes of Pepsi, Adidas, and Proactiv, she’s turned every opportunity into gold.

Not just a pop star, Perry has got fragrances, faux lashes, and even shoes with her name on them. She’s built a brand empire beyond the stage, and let’s not forget her cheeky Grammy comment about it! Katy’s definitely showing us how to mix talent with financial finesse.

How Much Is Katy Perry’s Salary?

Katy Perry’s salary? Well, let’s just say it’s no “I kissed a girl” level, but it’s close. She rakes in hundreds of thousands for her typical concert, thanks to ticket sales and merchandise. Her Witness tour didn’t exactly break records like her California Dreams or Prismatic days, but when you factor in her Las Vegas residency, Play? Ka-ching!

On top of that, if you want Katy Perry at a private event, be prepared to shell out around $1.9 million. Yes, you read that right. Perry pocketed a whopping $25 million a year for the American Idol gig, making her the highest-paid judge in the show’s history. But when 2020 came around and the world paused, Perry still pulled in $38.5 million.

Talk about turning a pandemic into a payday. While her American Idol salary was the talk of the town when it got out, it’s clear Perry’s financial moves have always been as sharp as her stage persona. Whether judging talent, selling tickets, or headlining private gigs, Katy’s been collecting paychecks in style.

Katy Perry’s Income From Las Vegas Residency

Katy Perry’s Las Vegas residency, Play, was nothing short of a jackpot. While her exact payday remains a closely guarded secret, we can guess it’s somewhere in the $300K to $350K range per show, just like her fellow Vegas residents, JLo and Britney. Considering Perry’s track record for turning everything she touches into gold, this residency was always destined to be a hit.

Kicking off in December 2021, Perry’s shows had already sold a whopping 32,000 tickets by February 2022 and grossed a cool $7 million, according to Billboard. With that kind of success, she didn’t just pack up and call it quits. Instead, she extended the residency, keeping the lights on through November 2023.

Perry’s Vegas gig is a perfect mix of spectacle, glamour, and cash flow. It draws in fans eager to see her iconic performances while helping Katy’s net worth grow faster than you can say “fireworks.” Perry knows how to turn a residency into an income explosion, whether it’s the glitzy city lights or her ever-evolving show.

Neither Simon Cowell nor representatives have confirmed if the two secretly married.

Is Simon Cowell a married man?

This seems to be the consensus after Cowell’s fiancée Lauren Silverman created a new Instagram account, adding his last name to her handle. According to People magazine, Silverman has deleted her old account and is now using the handle “LaurenMichelleCowell.”

OG 'American Idol' Judge Sparks Marriage Rumors Amid Subtle Social Media Change

Parade has reached out to a rep for Cowell for comment.

The change comes four years after Cowell proposed to Silverman on the Caribbean island of Barbados. The two first met on the island back in 2004. They developed a friendship as she was married and Cowell was in a relationship at the time; He dated entertainment journalist Terri Seymour from 2002 through 2008, and then was engaged to makeup artist Mezghan Hussainy. The two split in 2011.

Cowell and Silverman kept their romance quiet for a while, but in July 2013, reports surfaced that the pair was expecting their first child together.

“He is very pleased that her divorce is finalized, and he is excited about spending time with Lauren. He wants to make sure that she and the baby are doing okay. He is getting more and more excited about the baby,” a source told People magazine at the time.

In March 2014, Cowell and Silverman welcomed their son, Eric. As for the couple’s engagement, Cowell surprised Silverman on the beach. Their son Eric as well as Silverman’s son from her first marriage were also present.

“They are both super happy. They’ve been together a long time now and adore each other so it’s not a huge surprise to their close friends,” a source told People. “They have fun together, as well as being each other’s rock. They are both passionate [about one another], but really do bring out the very best in each other. As a family, they all have such an incredible bond.”

American Idol' Judges Flashback to Their Early Days in Season 23 Promo

Cowell and Silverman didn’t seem to be in an immediate rush to tie the knot.

“I am planning it all, otherwise I know what will happen—there will be 600 people and it’ll get out of control, like my 50th birthday party. No one knows when it’s going to be—that’ll be a surprise, even for Lauren,” the former American Idol judge told The Sun in 2022.

Flash forward three years and it seems that everything worked out — and the couple was able to keep things completely private. That is, of course, presuming Silverman’s social media name change means what we think it means!

Patricia Richardson Reveals $1M Pay Gap With Tim Allen Led to ‘Home Improvement’ Ending

In a candid reflection on one of television’s most iconic sitcoms, actress Patricia Richardson has revealed that a significant pay disparity between her and co-star Tim Allen played a pivotal role in ending Home Improvement. Speaking to the Los Angeles Times for the 25th anniversary of the show’s finale, Richardson shared that she used the network’s proposed salary gap as leverage to walk away from the series.

Friends' Jane Sibbett's Major Career Pivot Away From Hollywood - Parade

At the time, ABC was negotiating contracts for a potential ninth season. Tim Allen, who played the show’s lead character Tim “The Tool Man” Taylor, was reportedly offered $2 million per episode. In contrast, Richardson—who portrayed Jill Taylor, Tim’s wife and the show’s emotional anchor—was offered half that amount: $1 million per episode.

Richardson said the offer felt like a betrayal of the show’s original promise. “When I took the job, they said it wasn’t meant to be the Tim Allen show. It was meant to be our show,” she explained. With longtime directors having left and the creative energy shifting, Richardson felt the show had run its course. “I told everybody, ‘There’s not enough money in the world to get me to do a ninth year,’” she said.

Friends' star Jane Sibbett reveals she still hasn't watched the entire series

Rather than accept the pay gap, Richardson used it as a final push to end the series. She and Allen had already discussed the possibility of wrapping things up, and the unequal offer solidified her decision. “This show is over. It needs to end,” she told her team.

Home Improvement aired from 1991 to 1999 and was one of ABC’s highest-rated sitcoms during its run. Richardson’s portrayal of Jill Taylor was widely praised for bringing depth and realism to the role of a sitcom mom, balancing humor with heartfelt moments.

Her decision to walk away from the show over pay inequality has since been viewed as a bold stand for fairness in Hollywood.

Jane Sibbett Reveals Why She Left Hollywood for Unexpected Career Change (Exclusive)

The revelation has reignited conversations about gender pay gaps in the entertainment industry, especially in long-running series where female leads often receive less compensation than their male counterparts. Richardson’s story adds a powerful chapter to the ongoing dialogue about equity, respect, and the value of shared creative contributions.

Jane Sibbett’s Remarkable Journey to ‘Friends’: From Delivery Room to Sitcom Stardom in 24 Hours

In the world of television, casting changes are often swift and unpredictable—but few are as extraordinary as Jane Sibbett’s last-minute leap into Friends.

Friends' Star's Role in Sitcom 'Caused Stress' With Dad—'Heartbreaking' - Newsweek

In September 1994, just one day after giving birth to her son, Kai, Sibbett was offered the role of Carol Willick, Ross Geller’s ex-wife. The timing was surreal, and the decision would become one of the most memorable behind-the-scenes stories in sitcom history.

Originally, the role of Carol was played by Anita Barone in the pilot episode. However, Barone left the show shortly after, prompting producers to urgently search for a replacement. Coincidentally, Sibbett had given birth on September 10, and the very next day, her agent called with the unexpected offer.

    No photo description available.

Still recovering from childbirth, Sibbett hesitated. The idea of jumping into a major network sitcom so soon felt overwhelming. But her agent reassured her: the opportunity was significant, the production team was supportive, and she could even bring her nanny to set to help care for her newborn.

Curious, Sibbett watched the Friends pilot—and was instantly captivated by David Schwimmer’s portrayal of Ross. “Oh my goodness, I have to work with this man. He is brilliant,” she later recalled. That moment sealed her decision.

Just days after becoming a mother, Jane Sibbett stepped onto the set of Friends and officially became Carol. Her first appearance aired in the show’s Thanksgiving episode, and she quickly became a recurring presence throughout the series, portraying a character who helped break ground in LGBTQ+ representation on television.

    No photo description available.

Sibbett’s story is more than just a casting anecdote—it’s a testament to resilience, timing, and the magic of television. From the delivery room to one of the most iconic sitcoms of all time, her journey remains a fan-favorite tale of how life and art can collide in the most unexpected ways.

“The Sandlot” Cast: A Look Back at the Beloved 90s Baseball Crew

Few films capture the spirit of childhood summers quite like The Sandlot. Released in 1993, this coming-of-age sports comedy became an instant classic, winning over audiences with its nostalgic portrayal of friendship, baseball, and backyard adventures. Set in the summer of 1962, the film follows a group of neighborhood kids who bond over their love of the game—and their fear of the mysterious dog known as “The Beast.” But what truly made The Sandlot unforgettable was its cast of young actors and seasoned stars who brought the story to life.

    The Kids of the Sandlot

At the heart of the film is Tom Guiry as Scotty Smalls, the shy new kid who learns to fit in thanks to baseball and the help of his new friends. Guiry’s performance as the wide-eyed outsider gave the film its emotional anchor.

Mike Vitar played Benjamin Franklin “Benny” Rodriguez, the team’s leader and star athlete. Benny’s confidence and kindness made him a fan favorite—and the character who inspired Smalls to believe in himself.

Patrick Renna stole scenes as Hamilton “Ham” Porter, the loud, hilarious catcher known for his iconic one-liners (“You’re killing me, Smalls!”). Renna’s comedic timing helped cement the film’s place in pop culture.

The Sandlot Cast: Where The Actors Are Now

    Other memorable teammates included:

Chauncey Leopardi as Michael “Squints” Palledorous, famous for his poolside stunt to kiss lifeguard Wendy Peffercorn.

Grant Gelt as Bertram Grover Weeks, the quirky kid with a love for chewing tobacco.
Shane Obedzinski as Tommy “Repeat” Timmons and Victor DiMattia as Timmy Timmons, the inseparable brothers.

The Adults Who Grounded the Story

The film also featured a strong supporting cast of adult actors:

Denis Leary as Bill, Smalls’ stepfather, whose tough love pushes Smalls to grow.
Karen Allen as Mom, offering warmth and encouragement.
James Earl Jones as Mr. Mertle, the blind former baseball player whose backyard holds the legendary Beast—and a surprising connection to Babe Ruth.

Reba McEntire’s Surprise Engagement to Rex Linn They Were Engaged All Along!

All About Reba McEntire’s Surprise Christmas Eve Engagement to Rex Linn (DETAILS)

Linn popped the question on one of the most romantic times of the year.

If there is anything more pleasantly surprising than first hearing The Voice’s Reba McEntire was engaged to Rex Linn, it’s discovering that the lovebirds have actually been keeping the news a secret for nearly a year!

Fans rejoiced when the two Happy’s Place stars confirmed their engagement status during a red carpet interview at the 2025 Emmys, but now more details have leaked about just how long they’ve been keeping this information private. In an October 22 interview with People, McEntire finally spilled the beans about the big moment that she and her new fiancé somehow have kept under wraps for nearly 10 months.

“We got engaged December the 24th, Christmas Eve at Leiper’s Fork [in Tennessee],” McEntire revealed.

How sweet! (Way to go, Linn — it doesn’t get much more romantic than a Christmas Eve proposal.)

As it turns out, McEntire had planned to announce the news to the world herself shortly after getting engaged, but the Palisades fires — which destroyed many parts of outer Los Angeles — put a wrench in that plan.

“So we got engaged then, we were going to make the announcement when we got back to L.A. in January, and the fires happened. It wasn’t appropriate,” McEntire explained before admitting, “The time never presented itself until the Emmys when it just happened.”

    So, when’s the wedding?

It’s the question on the minds of countless fans — but Ms. Reba said they’re in no rush to the altar at this point.

“I totally was thrilled to death,” McEntire said. “I asked him, ‘Well, when do you want to do this?’ He said, ‘Let’s have fun with the engagement time.’ So we haven’t set a date or anything. We’re just enjoying each other.”

Fans can catch the happy couple starring in Season 2 of Happy’s Place, the hit NBC sitcom that makes its return this fall on Friday, November 7, at 8/7c. As always, new episodes will be available to stream the next day on Peacock.

In an August 8 TikTok, McEntire’s fellow Season 28 Voice Coach, Michael Bublé, shared an adorable video of himself and Linn holding hands, lip-syncing, and being the literal definition of a bromance.

As the words “He told me we were going to jump together” on screen — a nod to a recently-viral couple’s meme — Bublé could barely hold back his smile as the two shared in the sweet (albeit goofy) moment.

“Regardless, Rex is my ‘Happy Place,’” Bublé captioned.

Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine and his wife, supermodel Behati Prinsloo, are set to make another incredibly lucrative real estate deal after finding a buyer for their extraordinary Montecito estate—just three months after putting the property on the market for $65 million.

Levine, 46, and Prinsloo, 37, who share three children, purchased the opulent California abode for $52 million in an off-market deal in 2022. They have now made a staggering $8 million profit on its sale just three years later, after accepting a $60 million offer, as first reported by TMZ.

While the final price didn’t quite reach their sky-high ask—which saw the home become the most expensive property listed for sale in Montecito over the past three months—they will walk away with a huge sum, even after they poured ample money into renovating the abode.

Perhaps the A-list pair, who wed in 2014, will invest some of that profit into their new dwelling, which they purchased before putting their Montecito property on the market in July.

At the time, a spokesperson for the couple said that their new abode had been “too special to resist,” adding that Levine and Prinsloo wanted to relocate to a new neighborhood that was closer to their kids’ school.

The newly purchased abode, which was built in 1919, is a Spanish-style ranch that comes with guesthouses, a barn, and stables. It represents a dramatic change in aesthetic for the couple, whose Montecito abode would not be out of place in a Ralph Lauren catalog.

According to its listing, the home underwent an extensive renovation during Levine and Prinsloo’s ownership, with the couple turning to the celebrity-loved team at Clements Design to help them overhaul the dwelling.

As a result, “the home is the epitome of turnkey luxury,” the listing notes. The property comes with two guesthouses.

The home features a “state-of-the-art gym and wellness area,” a home theater, a catering kitchen, a tennis court, a vegetable garden, a chicken coop, and a koi pond.

Thanks to its hilltop perch, the home also boasts stunning views of the ocean, as well as an expanse of green lawn that is dotted with trees and plants.

Inside, the aesthetic is modern, yet elegant, with roaring fireplaces seen in multiple rooms to give the home a very cozy feel without sacrificing the classic California vibe.

For those with a penchant for entertaining, there are multiple areas in the home to do so, including the enormous kitchen that features an island capable of seating plenty of guests, as well as a formal dining room, a dark living room complete with a private bar, and a main living space that features a wall of windows.

Outside, there is a lounge area and a dining area where meals can be enjoyed under the sunshine or the stars.

The home’s huge swimming pool has also been outfitted with multiple sun loungers and umbrellas to provide yet another area in which to entertain guests or simply to soak up some rays in privacy.

The upstairs patio area features yet another lounging area, as well as a small table for dining.

As one might expect of such an A-list couple, the primary suite has also been outfitted with an enormous walk-in closet that could double as an additional sitting room.

It is far from the first time that Prinsloo and Levine have bought and flipped a pricey property, having been through the process multiple times during their 11-year marriage, regularly selling the homes to other A-listers.

For example, in 2018, the pair snapped up a Beverly Hills abode for $34 million and, after refreshing the home, sold it to fellow luxury real estate aficionado Ellen DeGeneres the following year, for $45 million.

Also in 2018, they purchased a Pacific Palisades property from Ben Affleck and his ex-wife Jennifer Garner for $32 million. They put that home on the market four years later, for $57.5 million.

It was sold later that year for $51 million, netting the couple a near-$20 million profit in the process.

Should they manage to secure their asking price for their latest listing property, the couple will walk away with $13 million in profit.

Although the home could well be seen as something of a high point in the couple’s real estate journey, it also holds some unhappy memories.

In 2024, the couple faced a lawsuit from California decorator Shana Kallen, who claimed that she suffered a traumatic brain injury at the home while working for the famous pair.

Legal documents seen by Realtor.com reveal that Kallen accused Levine and Prinsloo—who were identified only by their initials, as well as the trust through which they bought the home—of “negligence.” Kallen said that they failed to ensure a safe working environment at their dwelling after hiring her to decorate their outdoor patio with plants.

Kallen claims that in March 2023 she fell to the ground from a ladder that was set up for her to access the second-floor patio, claiming that she hit the concrete ground and, as a result, suffered a brain injury.

Legal records indicate that her case against the couple is still open, with Kallen pushing for the lawsuit to be taken to trial.
