Kelly Ripa breaks down in tears on ‘Live’ after Mark Consuelos shares heartbreaking news

Kelly Ripa was brought to tears on live TV as her husband, Mark Consuelos, shared heartbreaking news with viewers.

Kelly breaks down on Live with Kelly and Mark:

Ripa and Consuelos first crossed paths in 1995 when the Riverdale star joined the cast of All My Children, where Ripa, now 54, played Hayley Vaughan.

A year later, in May 1996, the couple tied the knot and went on to welcome three children: Michael, 27, Lola, 23, and Joaquin, 21.

On Wednesday (February 5), during the latest episode of Live with Kelly and Mark, Consuelos shared heartbreaking news.

In addition to their kids, the couple have also been proud pet parents to two beloved dogs: four-year-old Lena and 17-year-old Chewie.

The 53-year-old announced on the show that the last 24 hours had been incredibly difficult for the couple, as Chewie had sadly passed away.

“We had to say goodbye to Chewie,” he told the audience, explaining that the family pet’s health had been declining in recent weeks.

“Chewie had stopped eating for a couple days and had been eating less and less for the past few weeks. She was extremely dehydrated and had some neurological stuff going on,” Consuelos shared, cited by Entertainment Weekly.

“You think, okay, I’m doing the right thing. This isn’t going to be easy, but it’s probably one of the toughest things we’ve had to do as a married couple. Thank God we haven’t had any tragedy befall us like that, but she was just a great part of our life,” he added.

Ripa, clearly overwhelmed with emotion, stayed mostly silent as her husband spoke about how much Chewy impacted their lives. But when he reminisced about adopting their beloved dog on the show and how she had “grown up with our kids,” Ripa couldn’t hold back her tears.

“I’m really sorry. I thought I got it all out, guys. I really thought I got it all out, and I apologize because I did not. This is not how I wanted this to go down. God, she gave us so much,” Ripa said, her voice cracking.

“We’re filled with gratitude for this dog. I apologize, I’m so sorry. She gave us so much. As each one of our kids left for college and then moved out on their own, Chewie remained right there like our steadfast companion,” she added.

Ripa took a moment to acknowledge how fortunate she and Consuelos have been, admitting she felt guilty crying when “there are much bigger problems in the world”.

The talk show host found a bit of humor in the bittersweet moment, laughing through tears as she described the way friends, neighbors, and even their mail carrier stopped by to bid farewell to her precious pooch before she passed.

“She was very much like a cat, you know, in a lot of ways. She pet you when she wanted affection,” Ripa said, before breaking down again as she described her final moments with Chewie.

“She never let us kiss her face. She was very precious about her face. She was not that dog. And, after she passed away last night, I kissed her a thousand times on the face, I kissed her nose. I’d never kissed her nose before. And I know that she was like, somewhere in dog heaven, pissed! But, I didn’t care because it was just so nice to have that,” she shared.

As Ripa and the audience tried to compose themselves, Consuelos wrapped things up with a comforting message. “We’re going to get through it all together,” he assured his wife and the crew before continuing with the show.

Season 27 of The Voice Premiered On February 3rd

The coaches’ tenure on the show varies, but Levine has the most experience, having been a coach from Season 1-16. Season 27 is only Bublé’s second season, but he is coming off Season 26 with a win with Sofronio Vasquez. Legend has also won The Voice and appeared on nine seasons!

The Coaches Are Already Fighting In Episode 2

Season 27, Episode 2 aired on Monday (February 10) and a 21-year-old singer named Jaelen Johnston has three coaches fighting over him!

Johnston performed Luke Combs’ hit song “Where The Wild Things Are,” which reached the Top 5 on two different country charts.

As the song kicked off, he showed off his deep voice and country twang. Immediately, Levine told Ballerini he wasn’t even going to turn because he knew the singer would pick her. But, as she continued to listen to the performance, she wasn’t turning, so Levine did!

“I love all kinds of music, but I am die hard country music,” Ballerini told Johnston. “I’ve had ten years of putting out music in that genre, and your voice is unreal. And range! You’re not just a singer, you’re an artist. I really think that leaning into the songwriter of you is gonna be fun and I want to see where that takes us…Figuring out what the full realm of who you are as an artist, that’s my bread and butter, I want it!”

Bublé said, “I like that you want that and it’s good to see,” and Levine cut him off by saying, “But I want it too.”

The Maroon 5 frontman started his argument by pointing out that his “batting average” of convincing country artists to join his team is very low, because of “that big, smelly guy Blake Shelton.”

“Don’t talk about my dad like that!” Ballerini chimed in.

Despite losing out on country artists, Levine admitted that Johnston was “too good” not to turn his chair around, and Bublé agreed.

“I might not be an expert in the genre, but I know a guy and I’m sitting in his chair,” Levine added, motioning to the chair that Shelton used to sit in which is now his on The Voice.

Now, it was Bublé’s turn. He said, “Just because I don’t know [country music] as well, doesn’t mean I don’t love it. In the last couple years, I’ve had the most fun of my life doing duets with Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton…”

Ballerini argued, “I’ve sang with Dolly! And Reba! And Trisha. And Garth. And Taylor,” but Bublé hit back that he does have a country hit to his name, a song he wrote called “Home,” recorded by Blake Shelton!

Every coach put up a good argument, but in the end he chose Kelsea Ballerini!

  • Miranda Lambert suddenly stops another concert and calls out a fan for $H0CKING reason

Miranda Lambert suddenly stops another concert and calls out a fan for $H0CKING reason

Miranda Lambert suddenly stops another concert and calls out a fan for $H0CKING reason

Smartphones have completely changed the way we experience concerts today. For some people, it’s all about taking selfies and filming videos to capture the moment and share it with friends. But for others, those glowing screens can feel like they distract from the magic of being fully in the moment.

One person who has strong feelings about this is country music superstar Miranda Lambert. She’s never been shy about expressing her views, especially when it comes to concert behavior. Her bold stance on selfies at her shows has created a lot of buzz, with fans and even the internet reacting strongly.

Miranda Lambert’s take on concert etiquette became a hot topic after an incident at her Las Vegas Velvet Rodeo residency last year. While performing her hit song “Tin Man,” Miranda suddenly stopped singing and addressed the audience when she noticed a couple of girls taking selfies.

The moment went viral, and it sparked a huge debate on social media about what’s okay at live concerts.

“I’m gonna stop right here for a second… These girls are worried about their selfie and not listening to the song. It’s p***ing me off a little bit,” Miranda said, pointing to the crowd.

She was clearly frustrated and added, “I don’t like it, at all. We’re here to hear some country music tonight; I’m singing some country damn music.” She then asked the girls to sit down and suggested restarting the song.

The video, which a fan recorded, quickly spread on TikTok, and it sparked thousands of comments online. Some concertgoers seemed to agree with Miranda, but others didn’t. “Way to embarrass and shame your loyal fans who adore you,” one person tweeted.

Another wrote, “I think her reaction was a bit rude and uncalled for.” One critic even asked, “Now you can’t take pictures at concerts? These people need to get off their high horse.”

    https://youtu.be/TNyiUXcDFbA

Some fans defended Miranda, arguing that live concerts are about experiencing the energy and the music, not through a phone screen. “Going to a concert is about creating a memory. If someone wants to take a picture, they should be able to,” one Twitter user said. Others agreed that using your phone during a show can ruin the authenticity of the moment.

The fan who was involved in the selfie incident, Adela Calin, later shared her side of the story. She felt “appalled” by Miranda’s reaction, saying, “It felt like I was back at school with the teacher scolding me for doing something wrong.”

Adela, who was with a group of friends, explained that the selfie had only taken about 30 seconds. “I feel like she was determined to make us look like we were young, immature and vain. But we were just grown women in our 30s to 60s trying to take a picture.”

The next day, Adela shared the selfies on Instagram, showing her and her friends smiling while Miranda performed in the background. “These are the 2 pictures we were talking about when Miranda Lambert stopped her concert and told us to sit down and not take selfies 😱,” she captioned the post.

Despite the backlash, the controversy didn’t stop there. At a later show, Miranda spotted a fan wearing a T-shirt that read, “Shoot tequila, not selfies.” She pointed to the fan, read the shirt aloud, and the crowd cheered. While some fans found it funny, others felt Miranda was doubling down on her anti-selfie stance, and they didn’t appreciate it.

“Wow! Can’t believe this was her response to her rudeness,” one person commented.

Miranda Lambert isn’t the only artist who’s made headlines over concert etiquette. Many musicians have voiced their concerns about fans being too focused on their phones during shows. In 2019, Bob Dylan stopped his concert in Vienna, Austria, after seeing a fan take photos, breaking his strict “no photos” rule.

Beyoncé, in 2013, called out a fan during a performance of “Irreplaceable,” telling them, “You can’t even sing because you’re too busy taping. I’m right in your face, baby. You gotta seize this moment, baby! Put that d*mn camera down!”

Miranda Lambert fans walk out of her concert after controversial behavior

Other stars have taken even stronger measures. Cyndi Lauper, during her 30th-anniversary tour for She’s So Unusual, asked fans not to take photos or video. Alicia Keys has gone as far as requiring fans to place their phones in pouches to avoid distractions.

Jack White has been especially outspoken, saying, “If your phone is that important to you that you can’t live without it for two hours… maybe it’s time to see a therapist.”

And the trend goes beyond phones. In addition to the debate about phone use at concerts, some fans’ behavior, like talking loudly or moving around too much in the crowd, has also caught the attention of artists.

Adele recently joked about fans throwing things onstage, saying, “Have you noticed how people are, like, forgetting show etiquette at the moment, throwing (things) onstage? Have you seen it?” Bebe Rexha, unfortunately, wasn’t joking when she was hit by a phone during a show, leaving her injured.

Kelsea Ballerini and Harry Styles have also dealt with incidents involving fans throwing items.

These incidents are causing a lot of concern about the safety and comfort of performers, as the lines between fans and artists seem to blur more and more. With everyone trying to capture viral moments, the boundaries of concert etiquette are becoming unclear.

So, what’s next for concert culture? As more artists speak out, both performers and fans are reevaluating the rules of live music. Should fans put their phones away to be fully present? Or is it just part of the experience for today’s audience to document everything?

For Miranda Lambert, the debate reflects the challenges artists face when trying to connect with their audience while keeping the integrity of their performance intact. When asked about the incident, Miranda didn’t seem to regret how she handled it. “I feel like I’ve done a bunch and learned a whole lot of what not to do.

I give less of a s–t about what people that I don’t know think about me,” she said. “But I care more about what people that are in my inner circle and really know my character do think.”

She continued, “It just can bog you down, and it doesn’t mean anything. You can get really caught up about what strangers have to say about you. But it doesn’t speak to your character, because they don’t really know you. So I’m just trying to be me and be the best person I can be and learn from my mistakes.”

What do you think of this whole situation? Do you agree with Miranda Lambert, or do you think fans should be allowed to take photos and videos during concerts? Let us know in the comments below!

  • Kelsea Ballerini makes a BIG “mistake” during the first blind audition as she replaces Reba on The Voice Season 27

Kelsea Ballerini makes a BIG “mistake” during the first blind audition as she replaces Reba on The Voice Season 27

Kelsea Ballerini joins The Voice as a new coach, but her first blind audition ‘mistake’ has fans talking

NBC’s The Voice returned for Season 27 on Monday, bringing aboard new judge Kelsea Ballerini to replace Gwen Stefani.

The 31-year-old singer had previously served as a coach in Season 15 during a new round called The Comeback Stage and she also filled in for Kelly Clarkson as well.

Now she’s a full-time judge on the hit reality show, though she made a rather big self-admitted ‘mistake’ pretty early on.

Thankfully, though, she was able to rectify that mistake by using the Coach Replay, which was introduced in Season 26.

However, she used it in a way that no other coach had in the Coach Replay’s brief history… essentially using it to steal.

The historic moment came after Dan Kiernan, a 33-year-old wedding singer from New York City took the stage.

The historic moment came after Dan Kiernan, a 33-year-old wedding singer from New York City took the stage

Kiernan sang High Hopes by Panic! At the Disco, getting Michael Buble and John Legend to turn their chairs, though Ballerini and returning coach Adam Levine did not.

Both Buble and Legend admitted that the song was ‘nearly impossible’ to sing and they applauded him for going big in his audition.

While Kelsea didn’t turn her chair for Dan, she was interested in what he wanted to become as an artist.

‘I’m really interested in songwriting. I have so much to say and represent for my community,’ Dan told her.

Kelsea admitted she was ‘not sure’ why she didn’t turn her chair, before she realized that she had made a mistake.

‘I’m gonna do something. I’m gonna do something crazy. There’s this thing. I only get one. It’s called the Replay,’ she said, as the other coaches were stunned, as Legend admitted the Replay, ‘has never been used in this way.’

‘I made a mistake. I think you are fantastic,’ Ballerini said as she hit her button for the Coach’s Replay, adding, ‘I would really like to put my name in the running.’

‘I don’t know how to do this, but I think I did it right,’ Ballerini said, as Legend pointed out, ‘Kelsea is the first coach to use the Coach Replay to try to steal,’ before joking that it’s, ‘very dirty and underhanded.’

The gamble by Ballerini paid off as Kiernan picked her, as she explained, ‘The Coach Replay is basically our whoopsie.’

According To Her Co-Stars, Reba McEntire Is “The Queen”

Country music icon and The Voice judge Reba McEntire announced to everyone’s delight that she would be returning to a sitcom role after charming fans in her previous show, Reba.

The new series, Happy’s Place, follows Reba McEntire’s character, Bobbie, who inherits a restaurant from her late father. Bobbie is initially not thrilled to discover that she has a business partner—a half-sister she has never met.

    Watch the trailer below.

The show is comedic in the classic sitcom style and tackles important topics such as family relationships and mental health disorders. Reba is joined by her former co-star Melissa Peterman and appears alongside her boyfriend, Rex Linn, who plays her love interest in the series.

Reba’s Co-Stars Share Their Thoughts About Working With The Country Music Icon

Pablo Castelblanco, who portrays Steve, recently sat down for an exclusive interview with Hidden Remote to discuss his character, mental health, and the experience of acting alongside the singer.

He noted that his character struggles with OCD (Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder).

Castelblanco emphasized that the show does not treat OCD as a punchline but rather explores the serious challenges that come with it. He shared that,

“We all have some degree of obsessive behavior, so you kind of connect to that. One of the things that I have loved the most is just how the scripts try to portray a version of it. Steve doesn’t just deal with it, but he’s actually trying to work through it and is aware of it.”

During the interview, Steve mentioned that he was attracted to Happy’s Place primarily because he would have the opportunity to work alongside Reba. He also mentioned that he was excited to work with her talented team.

“The team that was around Reba. The format of a sitcom in front of a live audience was very appealing to me. I really wanted to do that. It was everything I dreamed of. There’s also the improv aspect of it. Melissa Pearman is a comedy genius.”

He continued on to speak about the impact of Reba and his former Alaska Daily co-star, Hilary Swank. He said:

“The one thing they share is the wealth of knowledge they are willing to share about the craft. That is something I will forever take from my career. There comes a time when someone has questions, and they are both willing to talk through stuff. They’re not precious about information.”

Many of the singer’s co-stars echoed his sentiment, including JoAnna Garcia Swisher, who also praised the experience of working with her.

“My first impression of Reba was I couldn’t believe that I’m standing in the same room as Reba McEntire! Just being around her has taught me so much that you can be a boss and really successful woman. I’m still learning from her, and she’s still the queen! She’s just always bringing it.”

It is evident that the singer’s co-stars share the belief that they have benefited greatly from working alongside her. Watch Pablo Castelblanco in Happy’s Place below.

The Voice producer finally shares the secret behind Adam Levine’s return after all these years

The Voice Season 27 is about to premiere on NBC, featuring the return of coach Adam Levine. In a new interview, an executive producer revealed how she finally convinced Levine to return to the show after so many years.

Adam Levine and Blake Shelton on 'The Voice' season 13

How The Voice Got Adam Levine Back on the Show

Adam Levine was one of the original coaches on Season 1 of The Voice when it premiered back in 2011. He ended up leaving the show in 2019, after 16 seasons. Executive producer Audrey Morrissey told TV Line that the process of getting Levine back on the show was a “good game of cat and mouse.”

Morrissey had apparently encouraged Levine to return ever since he left, but he never committed to coming back. It wasn’t until Levine attended longtime coach Blake Shelton’s Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony in 2023 that he seemed to seriously consider a comeback.

“I saw [Levine] there and I cornered him and asked, ‘When are you gonna come back?’” Morrissey recalled. “I think that was the one that really started him thinking, ‘Maybe I will.’ It still took two years!”

Levine Says No One Can Replace Shelton

This will be Levine’s first season of the show without Shelton, who left in 2023 after 23 seasons as a coach. He’ll be joined by returning coaches John Legend and Michael Bublé, as well as new coach Kelsea Ballerini.

Levine told People that there’s “no replacing” Shelton, with whom he exchanged plenty of fun banter over 16 seasons of the show. He added, “The thing that happened with Blake and I, it was so organic, and it was based on our friendship.”

Why Did Adam Levine Leave 'The Voice'? His Exit & Return

“And all of a sudden we realized people loved watching us talk s— to each other,” Levine said. “So, we thought to ourselves, ‘Let’s just do it. And hey, is there such thing as too far?’ And he’s like, ‘No.’ And I was like, ‘Yeah, probably not. Let’s just go at it.’ And we just had fun with it.”

Adam Levine makes a big change on ‘The Voice’ with a shocking chair turn – The audience and coaches can’t hide their reactions

It’s only one episode since Adam Levine returned to The Voice, and it looks like he’s already doing things differently than before!

Season 27 of the NBC series premiered on February 3, and viewers were quickly introduced to singer Grace-Miller Moody. She decided to sing a soulful rendition of Adam’s band Maroon 5’s hit song “Sunday Morning,” which left everyone completely stunned by her talent. As coaches Michael Bublé, John Legend and Kelsea Ballerini all turned their chairs for Grace-Miller, Adam shocked everyone by hitting the red button as well. What’s more, the move had everyone riled up for a surprising reason.

    Watch the video below.

“Adam notoriously does not turn for his own song!” Kelsea exclaimed in a clip posted on YouTube. “So, you have broken the code!”

Kelsea wasn’t the only one shocked by Adam’s surprise move. John also had some thoughts on the entire situation, trying to convince Grace-Miller she needed a coach who’d been on The Voice in recent seasons.

“Obviously, all of us feel like we’re at a disadvantage,” John added, with the audience cracking up. “It’s been a long since Adam has been on The Voice, and he’s quite likely very, very rusty. You’ll need someone that’s got more recent experience and you understand how it’s been on the show for the last 10 seasons and not how it was way back in the ancient era.”

Given the entire audition caused a stir, fans couldn’t stop commenting how good Grace-Miller’s vocals sounded.

“What a way to start off Adam’s comeback season,” one person wrote in the YouTube comments. “Very unique … I love her,” another agreed. “Love the voice and the arrangement,” a different follower added.

So, did Kelsea and John’s comments on Adam’s unexpected chair turn pan out for them? It seemed like Adam made the right call, as Grace-Miller chose him to be her mentor throughout the competition.

Well, it looks like Adam’s rise to victory is only just beginning!

On Monday, Feb. 3 fans were ecstatic as the Maroon 5 frontman made his long-awaited return to the judges panel to kick off the brand new season. During the premiere episode, Adam took the stage alongside fellow music legends Michael Bublé, John Legend, and Kelsea Ballerini as they all judged the new line-up of artists auditioning for the series.

But now, Adam is back and better than ever and fans are buzzing with excitement to see him take their screens once again. Ahead of his apperance on the episode, Adam opened up about his decision to return and how his much-needed break got him as energized as ever. He continued: “I don’t really see it as a competition anymore, and I know they’re not going to like that, but that’s not what it is. It’s an opportunity for us to share our experiences with the people on the show. And it always has been that. I mean, you definitely get competitive that those juices flow for sure. But I don’t see it as a competition and I don’t think that I can bring anything other than what I have just from life and a career. And I think that’s really valuable for the people on the show that are needing that experience, or that push that help. And that’s what I think we’re there for.”

Sophronio Vasquez, who moved from the Philippines to Utica in 2023, won the 26th season of The Voice television show in December.

Coach Reba McEntire has the best teeth on the show, said Vasquez, a graduate of a dental school in the Philippines. His coach, Michael Bublé, has nice teeth, too, but he’s had cosmetic work done. McEntire has a beautiful, natural smile, he said.

What don’t most people know about Bublé? “I think people don’t know that he is very funny. No, people know about his (being) funny, but he’s very personal,” Vasquez said. “He started as someone that’s like us. He was rejected many times, too, and he just persisted. And he’s really helpful and genuine. And he’s a good stylist. He would tell me, ‘I don’t like your outfit.’” And Vasquez would then change.

Coach Snoop Dogg, whom Vasquez called his uncle, wasn’t Vasquez’s coach, but he still checked in with Vasquez after every show and offered to fly his mother out from the Philippines. “Snoop Dogg,” Vasquez said, “is one of the most genuine people I ever worked with.”

Coach Gwen Stefani “is always pretty, even without makeup,” Vasquez said. “Yeah, I saw her without makeup and she’s always pretty.”

He calls coach Reba McEntire mom and she likes being called mom. She’s really sweet and even more real than she seems on TV, he said.

Show staff shopped for contestants’ wardrobes. Contestants also had professionals working on their hair and makeup.

Your voice is like butter”: The Voice coach Reba McEntire urges Sofronio Vasquez to join her team in sneak peak of season 26 premiere

Vasquez developed a new personal style that often meant wearing suits or a jacket, even a trench coat, on TV. “I could never imagine myself wearing hats and now it’s become a little bit of my brand,” he said. It was too hot for hats in the Philippines and worrying about style wasn’t a thing either, Vasquez said. “We just had white T-shirt and pants and we’re fine,” he said.

Bublé gave Vasquez two pieces of particularly good advice. The first one was that just because he can do something, doesn’t mean he should, Vasquez said. For example, Vasquez shouldn’t do so many runs while singing even if he can or he shouldn’t choose a song just because he can sing it if the song doesn’t fit him, Vasquez explained. And the second: “Be your own superhero,” Vasquez said. He took that to mean that even superheroes sometimes fail and need help. “Don’t be afraid, just try,” he said. “You don’t have to be perfect. Local crooner and megastar Michael Bublé’s seven-bedroom, 15-bathroom, 12,000-square-foot home at 7868 Government Rd. has topped the list of Burnaby’s highest valued homes for years and is the only Burnaby home to make B.C.’s top 100, coming in at No. 32 in 2025.

The home has jumped in value by $17.89 million since 2017, according to BC Assessment records.

This year’s top 10 list of most valued Burnaby homes has one new addition: 7466 Whelen Crt. has knocked off 909 Burnwood Ave. for the 10th spot.
