Kelsea Ballerini Offers Tearful Apology After Canceling Shows

The singer and Voice coach has been battling illness.

Get well soon, Kelsea Ballerini! After appearing at the Grammys, the country music singer and coach of The Voice got right back to her tour—only to fall ill with the flu.

Kelsea updated fans on her health as she battled through concerts, but, after starting her show in Buffalo, New York, she was unable to continue.

Videos shared on Tik Tok show Kelsea take the stage and tell the crowd that she powered through her show in Detroit and then had some time to rest.

She said, “I’m feeling physically much better…My voice, she still has the flu. My physical self? Thriving. I need your help tonight. As much as you’re willing to give me. There was no world that I wasn’t going to get on this stage tonight and give you everything I have.”

But after singing a few songs, a representative walked on stage and told the crowd that Kelsea was too sick to continue.

The singer later took to social media to share an update with fans. She said, “Buffalo, I am so so so sorry that I could not finish the show tonight. I am sicker than I am trying to be. I didn’t want to let anyone down tonight, but I got through the first songs tonight and I couldn’t do it.”

She continued to explain that the Buffalo show and her next two stops in Pittsburgh and Toronto would be moved to April. Kelsea promised, “I will make them the best shows I have ever played in my life. I hope you understand, and thank you for the grace to be human, and I love you.”

Country star Kelsea Ballerini was forced to end her concert early after performing only a few songs.

The “Miss Me More” singer took to social media to explain to her fans that she had to abruptly stop her concert in Buffalo, New York, due to an illness.

“Buffalo, I am so, so sorry that I could not finish the show tonight,” Ballerini said on Instagram.

“I am sicker than I’m trying to be, and I did not want to let anyone down tonight, and I just got through the first few songs and I couldn’t do it. And I am so sorry, but I never want to give you a half-a– show.”

Ballerini, 31, sounded under the weather as she addressed her fans wearing a purple hooded sweatshirt.

The “Cowboys Cry Too” crooner announced that she had rescheduled her shows in Buffalo, Pittsburgh and Toronto.

“I will make them the best shows I’ve ever played in my whole life, and I will pull out every stop for you… I will make it so worth it.”

“I’m going to go rest now, and get better, so I can really show up for the rest of this tour… I hope you understand… thank you for the grace to be human and I love you,” she concluded.

The 5-time Grammy nominee’s video comes after a crew member stopped her New York performance to share the news with Ballerini’s fans.

“This is a conversation I did not want to have tonight,” the crew member announced.

“She just can’t finish, she is too sick, and we’ve given everything, we’ve tried to do it… we unfortunately cannot finish the show tonight.”

Before Ballerini ended her New York performance, she shared on her Instagam Story that she was “feeling better” from a previous illness.

“Got some good rest (Wow I forgot how much I love sleep) and the meds are doing their job and I can’t wait to perform for you tonight. My voice is a little raspy but we’re gonna lean in… no way I’m letting you down.”

The two-time CMA winner thanked a “sweet fan” on her social media who made her a pillow with Ballerini’s dog Dibs face on it, as she cozied up with her gift. Her dog passed away earlier this year.

“I can’t even tell you how much I needed this and what it means.”

Ballerini postponed several performances to future dates in April.

John Legend has had enough of social media’s collective smart mouth.

“I used to be on social media a lot more than I am now. I generally post more on Instagram and some on TikTok, but I kind of stopped posting on Twitter,” Legend told Yahoo Life, adding that X (formerly known as Twitter) has become “a little too toxic.”

“After a while, having that much transparency between you and your audience — not just coming from you, but also coming to you — all the incoming [discourse], it was just a lot. After a while, I was just like, ‘You know, I don’t need that.’ And it’s truly better for my mental health. I just found it better for my mental health to stay away.”

Although “The Voice” coach considers himself “pretty unflappable,” he takes steps to care for himself mentally and physically and applies the “everything in moderation” philosophy to most aspects of his life, including diet, exercise and alcohol. The EGOT winner also partnered with Pfizer to raise awareness about the COVID-19 vaccine ahead of the holidays.

On Tuesday, Oct. 15, the musician, 45, shared a few photos on his Instagram as he posed with all four of his kids in his iconic red chair on The Voice. The longtime judge could be seen wearing a light blue sweater, holding 15-month-old son Wren Alexander in his lap, who rocked denim baby overalls and a white T-shirt.

Legend shares his four kids with wife Chrissy Teigen, 38.

Earlier in October, Teigen spoke with PEOPLE about her family’s plans for Halloween, sharing that her son Miles already knows what he wants to be.

“We love Halloween,” she told PEOPLE. “But now it’s about kids’ Halloween. I actually prefer kid ones because they’re so fun and they’re so cute and they’re during the day and I can still go to bed early and stuff.”

Although her family sometimes opts for group costumes, this year the mom of four doesn’t know if that will happen since Miles has already locked in on one costume.

“Well, my kids don’t know any of the families that I want to be, so I pitched them some ideas. They’re like, ‘Who’s that?‘ ” she explained. “My son wants to be like Marshmello. He’s obsessed with the DJ Marshmello, so he’s going to be that. And I’m like, ‘They’re not into the family thing right now.’ ”

She continued, “But the babies, you can make them do whatever you want.”

Speaking with PEOPLE in September, Legend shared that he and Teigen have become a lot more relaxed as parents after welcoming Wren and Esti.

“We are definitely more relaxed in general, so we’re not as stressed,” Legend told PEOPLE. “Even though you still have to do the work, none of it is as intimidating or worrying as it used to be. You’re not nervous about it. You’re like, ‘I got this.’”

He added that after getting into the swing of things with his first two children, “Everything gets a little more lax.”

Legend also admitted that having two kids under 2 is “nonstop” chaos.

“They’re so cute and interesting, and it’s so interesting to see their personalities develop, but it is truly nonstop,” he continued. “You’ve got to watch them every second.”

The model, 36, revealed how she and husband Adam Levine, 45, spent the holidays with their daughters Dusty Rose, 8, and Gio Grace, 6, and their 1-year-old son in several photos shared on Instagram on Friday, Dec. 27.

She kicked off the collection of snaps with a post showing herself wearing a red Santa hat and looking into the camera as she hugged the Maroon 5 singer.

“‘Twas the season…🫶,” she captioned the set of photos.

One photo showed that the family had gone grocery shopping to keep the house full of food throughout Christmas. Another captured a cozy day at home spent wrapped in a pink dinosaur blanket, while a third was a fun beach day with the kids.

Prinsloo also teased a look at what appeared to be her and Levine’s holiday dinner party, showing a long table decorated with flowers and candles.

However, it appeared that the holiday season didn’t completely go off without a hitch, as the model had to sit down for an IV drip.

Prinsloo completed her collection of festive memories with a snap of Santa Claus handing out presents to the kids.

She has kept her life with Levine and the kids relatively private but occasionally shares a glimpse of her family life on social media.

In September, she shared a carousel of photos on Instagram rounding up fun family memories from the summer. This included holding her son up as he reached toward a basketball net, her daughters playing dress up, and photos of the kids playing on the beach.

The kids are not only into fashion and outdoor activities, but their father’s music too. In April, the “Moves Like Jagger” singer appeared on SiriusXM’s The Morning Mash Up radio show, where he shared that his kids are his band’s biggest fans.

“The cool thing about my kids is they’re obsessed with the band. They know every [song],” Levine said. “It’s interesting to see because they know songs that I don’t even remember writing or singing.”

Despite not always having the best time on the show, Brian does admit that his stint on the series wasn’t all bad. In fact, he really enjoyed the moments when he and Seacrest would just go out in the city and do funny and silly stuff together, which unfortunately was never filmed and shown on-air.

So, while their overall dynamic was not great, it does seem that the pair did have good moments from time to time. It’s possible that the former co-host damaged his career by quitting the show after the first season, due to the immense success of American Idol.

An insider added: “He’s telling Julianne to please stop with this, and make this the last time she embarrasses him.”

As RadarOnline.com reported, Seacrest has also allegedly bumped heads with Vanna White, 67, since taking over for Pat Sajack, 77, as the new host of Wheel of Fortune.

Although Seacrest’s first episode is scheduled to air on Monday, September 9, he and White began filming earlier this year – and she was said to be left “feeling like a third wheel” during production.

One source said: “They started taping in late May and Vanna has tried to give Ryan advice and show him the ropes.

“But Ryan is a control freak. He finally told her he’s doing things his way and he’s not trying to be Pat Sajak.”
