‘The Price Is Right’ False Advertising Has Fans In Uproar

The Price Is Right has fans in an uproar after it advertised new episodes and didn’t deliver this week. Like many other shows, The Price Is Right is on summer break right now, and fans have been tired of seeing reruns. So, when can viewers actually expect the game show to return? Here is everything you need to know.

The Price Is Right At Night Interrupted By The RNC

Viewers have been irritated by the reruns that have been airing during the summer break. Then, one week after Season 52 ended, the reruns were replaced by another show.

CBS is currently airing The Price Is Right At Night at 8 p.m. EST on Wednesdays. Unfortunately for fans, even that was interrupted this week. The Republican National Convention coverage aired in its place. CBS had coverage of the RNC from July 15 through July 18 starting at 8 p.m. EST each day.

While this may seem fairly normal, The Price Is Right fans were caught off guard because they were promised a new episode on July 17. A teaser was posted on Instagram and the caption read, “Grab your popcorn (and your mother-in-law) and get ready for another incredible night of big wins on tonight’s #PriceisRight at Night!”

The clip shared showed a man and his mother-in-law playing a game together. They won and landed a trip to Greece. However, fans didn’t get to see that episode due to the RNC coverage.

Fans Are Impatiently Waiting For New Episodes

Fans took to the comment section to let their disappointment be known. “Unfortunately the RNC broadcast has taken over,” one fan warned everyone else. Another person wrote, “They are ones that are old why don’t you guys bring out new ones.”

A third person pointed out, “This is a rerun from October.” Another fan exclaimed, “Can’t wait for the new season.”

Viewers were first thrown off when they expected to see a new episode of The Price Is Right on July 8. Host Drew Carey took the stage in a wrestler costume and the announcer wished people watching at home a Happy Halloween. People were confused.

It turned out to be a rerun from October 2023. Since then, the beloved game show has been on summer break. Due to the break, reruns of the regular show will air at its regular daytime slot until September.

Many fans were confused as to why there was no warning for viewers about the break. “Did I miss somewhere in the last episode an announcement about a break or an off-season until episodes start airing again?” one person asked on Reddit. Another viewer pointed out that they have a summer break every year.

If you’re waiting for new installments of The Price Is Right At Night, there should be a new episode next week at 8 p.m. EST on Wednesday.

Oops! Drew Carey Smacks Contestant—Glasses Knocked Off in Live TV Moment

‘The Price Is Right’ Drew Carey Slaps Glasses Off Contestant’s Face

Drew Carey - YouTube/The Price Is Right

There are plenty of things that can go wrong when you are filming a television show. Drew Carey saw that for himself during The Price Is Right. While most embarrassing or violent content is edited out of most shows, the moment where Carey slaps the glasses off a contestant made the cut. Continue reading to see what led up to the shocking moment.

Drew Carey Knocks Contestant’s Glasses Off On Stage

In the most recent episode of The Price Is Right, one contestant joked with Drew Carey about being “scared for his life” on stage. It seems he was right to be scared because, in the same episode, another contestant was slapped in the face by the host.

Although it was accidental, Carey’s slap knocked the woman’s glasses off as they stood next to each other on stage. Looking mortified, Drew Carey started to apologize repeatedly to the woman.

If you are familiar with The Price Is Right, you know all about the iconic wheel that three lucky people get to spin. The wheel has the numbers from 5 to 100 on it. The contestant who spins the wheel and is closest to 100 (or lands on 100) in two spins gets to do the Showcase Showdown.
Drew Carey and contestant John - YouTube/The Price Is RightYouTube/The Price Is Right
Cash prizes can be won on the wheel as well. If you are one of the lucky few to land on 100, you get a cash prize immediately. Then, if you land on 100 a second time, which is basically unheard of, you get a second cash prize on the spot.

Hilary, who sported a pink sweatshirt that mentioned the show’s host, walked up to the wheel in hopes of getting a lucky spin. Unfortunately, she went over 100 in her two spins. Drew Carey shook Hilary’s hand before instructing her to exit the stage.

As he was turning to greet the next contestant, he somehow wound up slapping the glasses off Hilary’s face. Carey and the other two contestants on stage stopped to make sure she was okay.

Grabbing Hilary by the shoulder, Drew Carey apologized saying, “Oh, sorry! Jeez, sorry.” Then he joked, “So sorry. I’m just flailing away.”

Thankfully, Hilary didn’t seem to take offense. She laughed everything off and the next contestant was able to go about her turn on the wheel.

Viewers React To The Price Is Right Clip

Someone took the clip and posted it to Reddit. They wrote, “Drew slaps contestant in the face!”

Most people shrugged off the incident, just like Hilary did. “Well he did say sorry. Nothing major,” one Reddit user wrote. Another person replied, “Yep, just a happy little accident.” A third commented, “Having your glasses knocked off your face is never not clumsy and embarrassing.”
Drew Carey - YouTube/The Price Is RightYouTube/The Price Is Right
Others thought that the woman deserved more than the apology Drew Carey offered. “She should have been given a car for compensation,” one person suggested. Another blasted the host for his actions, writing, “Once again, he literally can’t do his job properly. Long overdue for a replacement – since his 1st day, actually.”

Despite the criticisms, Drew Carey has earned 10 Daytime Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Game Show for The Price Is Right. He brought home the award in 2013, 2016, and 2018.

‘The Price Is Right’ Fans Slam Drew Carey For Brutal Comment

The Price Is Right Drew Carey - YouTube/After Midnight

Drew Carey is under fire by The Price Is Right fans after he made fun of a contestant’s job on live television. Now the beloved host is facing backlash online and being asked to apologize. What could Drew Carey have said that has fans up in arms? Keep reading to find out.

Drew Carey Makes Jokes About Contestant’s Job

Contestant Jack Shannon was picked on The Price Is Right during the April 29 episode. Jack put in a bid on a DSLR camera and, after guessing the closest amount, he was picked for the next showcase.

Before they started the next round, Drew Carey stopped to talk to Jack, as he does with most contestants. He shared with viewers and the live audience that Jack came to the show with his dad.
Drew Carey - YouTube, The Price Is RightYouTube/The Price Is Right
“Jack and his father making a living, it’s a family business where they make labels for like wine bottles, beer, paint cans, anything you want,” Drew shared with viewers.

Continuing the conversation, Drew Carey asked Jack what the weirdest thing he’s ever made a label for was. After thinking for a moment, Jack said that it was octagon bottles.

“Oh wow. What an exciting life Jack leads,” Drew laughed. Looking rather nervous, Jack joined in on the joke, laughing with Drew.

“Still talking about those octagon bottles,” the host hammered down before moving on to list the prizes Jack had a chance of winning.

The Price Is Right Fans Aren’t Impressed With Drew’s Jokes

Before appearing on the show, Jack’s dad (Richard) shared a photo of them both on Reddit waiting to see if they’d be chosen for The Price Is Right. He shared that Drew Carey greeted them and shook their hands.

Richard noted that the host remembered the family business because he and his wife won the game show the day before. During their conversation, he asked Jack if he worked for the family business and inquired about whether or not he was going to college. Richard didn’t think they’d get chosen again, but he was wrong.
The Price Is Right conetstants Richard and Jack - RedditReddit
A number of fans were excited for Jack. However, many people were not thrilled about Drew Carey’s comments about his occupation.

“Didn’t like Drew asking what the strangest thing labeled and then laughing at him saying ‘still talking about those octagon bottles,’” one fan commented. “He asked & then laughs & pokes fun about an exciting life. Not nice and not funny!” another wrote. “He’s a young guy following his father’s business. Still rude & not funny,” a third person agreed.

“I didn’t like that either. I happened to be just tuning into the show right at that moment, so I did not hear the context. But it was not nice for Drew to poke fun at the young man like that. A joke at a contestant’s expense is never okay,” another viewer chimed in.

Several people stood up for The Price Is Right host though, stating that he was making fun of Jack’s job and not Jack himself.

‘Price Is Right’ Fans Blast ‘Dumb’ Move That Cost Contestant Big

Drew Carey on The Price is Right / YouTube

A recent episode of The Price is Right saw a contestant make an interesting decision. He had a chance to win a car, but he chose not to and many viewers lashed out at him, calling it “crazy and dumb.” However, there might be a good reason why he made the right choice.

Here is what the man did and what fans thought about his decision.

Price Is Right Contestant Passes On Winning A New Car

A man was on The Price is Right and he was playing a game where he had to guess the cost of objects and come within $10 of getting it right. Each time he got one right, he could choose a number from the board and it would be worth a specific amount of money. He got four of the five guesses right.

Drew Carey - YouTube/The Price Is Right

On the back of the cards, there was a possibility of letters. Each of the four cards he chose (11, 7, 30, and 1) was worth $1,000 each. After this, he had a choice. He could take the money or he could risk it all to see if there was a “C,” “A,” and “R” behind the four. He looked into the audience and asked then he and his wife made the decision.

“I’ll take the money and run,” the man said. Drew asked if he was sure, and he said he was. As a result, he won $4,000. Drew then turned over the first three of the four cards and they spelled “CAR.” If he had played on, he would have won the car.

The contestant didn’t seem bothered that he didn’t win the car though. He could have left with nothing. If he had won the car, laws state that he would have had to come up with money to pay the taxes on it before he was allowed to leave with it (which is usually done by taking out a loan).

The man doesn’t have to worry about that. He will pay the taxes on the $4,000 and leave The Price is Right with cash. However, fans thought he made the wrong decision and should have gambled it all for the car.

Fans Blast Craig For Passing On The Car

When The Price is Right posted the video on its Instagram page, the game show asked what the fans at home would have done. So many people thought that Craig made a mistake.

Here is an example of the commenters’ thoughts on this Price is Right decision.

“Always go for it. Shocking he had C A R but I would have gone for the car.”
“Im a gambler all or nothing but I respect Craig choice”
“He should go with the car oh my gosh I will go for it if I were you.”
“This guy obviously needed money more than a car. It happens. A car isn’t everyone’s cup of tea.”

It seems like a lot of people would have gone for the car and been happy if they went home with nothing. Craig took the money and left a winner.

What would you have done on The Price is Right if you were in Craig’s shoes? Let us know in the comments below.

  • Shifting Gears Season 2 Is At Risk Of Being Canceled

Shifting Gears Season 2 Is At Risk Of Being Canceled

Why Shifting Gears Is At Risk Of Being Canceled: Ratings Explained After Its Huge ABC Debut

Matt in Shifting Gears season 1, episode 10, talking to Jimmy

Shifting Gears may have had an incomparable debut, but that isn’t enough to guarantee ABC’s newest sitcom a season 2 renewal. Tim Allen leads the Shifting Gears cast of characters as Matt Parker, a widower and auto-restoration shop owner whose droll observations and lofty expressions are virtually indistinguishable from his former glory as Home Improvement’s Tim Taylor or Last Man Standing’s Mike Baxter. As the headliner of ABC’s new family comedy, Tim Allen’s name alone drew in devotees early, but Shifting Gears needs more than star power to keep itself afloat during cancelation season.

Shifting Gears season 2, which once seemed inevitable, is now at the mercy of extenuating circumstances that can potentially both help and hinder the sitcom’s chances of survival. The ensemble cast, including the rest of the Parker family (Kat Dennings as Riley, Maxwell Simkins as Carter, and Barrett Margolis as Georgia) and Matt’s employees (Seann William Scott as Gabriel, Daryl “Chill” Mitchell as Stitch, and Cynthia Quiles as Frankie), all grew into their own throughout the comedy’s pilot season, but talent may not be enough. Sadly, the ending of Shifting Gears season 1 could potentially also be its series finale.

Shifting Gears Is On The Verge Of Being Canceled Despite Its Record-Breaking Debut

The Strong Start Only Hurt The Sitcom In The Long Run

Matt (Tim Allen), Carter (Maxwell Simkins), Georgia (Barrett Margolis), and Riley (Kat Dennings) around the kitchen in Shifting Gears.

From the very beginning, Shifting Gears has been fighting an uphill battle on the critical front. According to critics, Tim Allen’s family comedy felt at once like an obscured imitation and a blatant carbon copy of his previous smash-hit sitcoms, rousing poor initial reviews for Shifting Gears before the episodes had even aired. Despite the negative response to early screenings, Shifting Gears drew in unparalleled numbers for its debut, implying the sitcom could at least be a commercial success if not critically favored. By the end of the pilot season, however, the novelty seemed to have worn off.

Shifting Gears drew in unparalleled numbers for its debut, implying the sitcom could at least be a commercial success if not critically favored.

The true cancelation risk of Shifting Gears lies in multiple factors, none of which doom the sitcom to one-season wonder territory with any real certainty, but all of which fail to inspire any real optimism. Since Shifting Gears leaned so heavily on its headliner during marketing and pre-season press, it always seemed as if Shifting Gears was a Tim Allen show rather than a show starring Tim Allen. Although centering Allen undoubtedly helped Shifting Gears kick off to a record-breaking start, the leading man may have proven himself to be a double-edged sword, slashing the sitcom’s longevity throughout the season.

There Was A Steady Decline In Viewership

Riley (Kat Dennings) and Gabriel/Gabe (Seann William Scott) sitting together on a couch in Shifting Gears season 1, episode 10.

Despite early missteps, it seemed as if Shifting Gears only found its footing more steadily with each passing episode, making its uncertain fate even more convoluted. Although Shifting Gears had impressive viewership to boast about in the early days, the numbers steadily declined throughout the season. It may appear that Shifting Gears had a clear downward slope in its viewership, but it’s truly a testament to how staggering the initial audience was. The issue with starting off on such a dazzling high is that, realistically, Shifting Gears (and its season-wide ratings) had nowhere to go but down.

The introduction of Jenna Elfman’s Shifting Gears character wasn’t enough to shepherd back the millions of live viewers lost over mere weeks, but she helped steady things. While still erring on the critical side, reviews of Shifting Gears seemed to soften as the world expanded and the side characters (save for poor, nearly-anonymous Frankie) came out of the woodwork to reveal unique dynamics and relationships that entertained more than being accessories to Allen’s main character. Unfortunately, Shifting Gears’ progress may be too little, too late, thanks to the dramatic disparity between the viewership of the pilot and the season finale.

ABC Is Better Off Renewing Shifting Gears Than Canceling It

    The Network Needs More Comedies

Yet, despite the drop in ratings over the course of Shifting Gears season 1, there’s a strong argument for ABC to pursue a second season. ABC excelled with freshman drama High Potential, and long-running procedural 9-1-1 (which transferred from Fox in 2023) has held steady with a sizable following alongside mainstays like Grey’s Anatomy. On the comedy front, though ABC quickly confirmed Abbott Elementary season 5, there’s not much variety on the books for the 2025-26 season, especially with The Conners drawing to a close. Consequently, there’s an irrefutable niche that Shifting Gears can (and should) fill in ABC’s listings.

The story itself all but demanded a second season, with many unanswered questions in the Shifting Gears finale. The slow-burn between Gabriel and Riley, the quicker burn between Matt and Elfman’s Eve, and the workplace rapport of Stitch and Gabriel— the magnetic scene-stealers of Shifting Gears— all culminate in a sense of brimming, untapped potential. The pilot season of any series primarily functions to iron out the kinks and find what works, meaning Shifting Gears season 2 could cement the sitcom’s true identity. Though the future of Shifting Gears is still pending, it’s not over yet for Allen’s sitcom.

Shifting Gears Season 2: Lilly Singh Joins Cast As Riley’s Friend

Riley pointing at herself in Shifting Gears season 1, episode 9

Shifting Gears season 2 will reportedly introduce one of Riley’s friends, who will be played by none other than a late night host. Casting well-known celebrities to guest star on TV shows is obviously not a new concept, and this gest star won’t be the show’s first.

In fact, Shifting Gears season 2 will feature multiple guest stars, including Allen’s Home Improvement co-stars Patricia Richardson, Richard Karn and Debbe Dunning, as well as a reappearance by his Last Man Standing co-star Nancy Travis.

According to TVLine, Lilly Singh will guest star in Shifting Gears season 2 as a new friend of Riley (played by Kat Dennings). Singh’s character, Jen, will find a meaningful connection with Riley since both are parents. However, the friendship might not last for long as “unexpected mama drama” will cause tension between the two of them.

What Lilly Singh’s Guest Appearance Means For Shifting Gears

    Lilly Singh TV Show

After Last Call with Carson Daly ended, NBC hired Singh to host A Little Late with Lilly Singh, which aired after Late Night with Seth Meyers for two seasons before it was canceled. The history-making late night talk show introduced Singh to a brand-new audience.

The YouTuber has also starred in multiple movies and TV shows, including Ice Age: Collision CourseBad MomsDollface and The Muppets Mayhem. Singh was even a judge on Canada’s Got Talent.

Singh has a lot of experience with comedic roles, so her hifting Gears season 2 guest spot should be exciting for her fans. Since this is just a guest-starring role, Singh’s casting will likely only last for one episode, but depending on how Jen’s storyline with Riley gets resolved, it’s possible she could make another appearance in the future.

Our Take On Lilly Singh’s Shifting Gears Role

Lilly Singh on A Little Late With Lilly Singh

Interestingly, Singh isn’t the only late night star to appear on Shifting Gears. Former Tonight Show host Jay Leno played himself in season 1. Elsewhere in the world of network TV, soon-to-be-former Late Show host Stephen Colbert will play a fictional talk show host during Elsbeth season 3.

The other late night hosts–Jimmy Fallon, Meyers and Jimmy Kimmel–have also dabbled in guest appearances on scripted TV shows.

The heart of Shifting Gears is the relationship between Riley and her father, Matt Parker (Allen), though it’s always fun for fans to see these characters have their own separate storylines that create a lot of laughter and hilarity, and Singh’s storyline with Kat Dennings should be no different.

When Shifting Gears season 2 premieres October 1 at 8 p.m. EDT on ABC, fans should keep an eye out for Singh’s appearance at some point during the season.

One Secret Could Change Everything—Reba’s Sitcom Takes a Bold Turn in Season 2

Reba’s 73% RT Comedy Will Change Forever After One Character’s Secret

Reba McEntire and JoAnna Garcia Swisher looking close from Reba

After a successful debut season, Happy’s Place season 2 promises to up the drama as the Reba replacement delves deeper into Bobbie and Emmett’s relationship. Reba was a huge success for star Reba McEntire, proving the country music singer could double as a sitcom lead throughout the show’s seven seasons.

While Reba never earned McEntire an Emmy nomination, it did make her a huge name in the world of network sitcoms. As such, it was a welcome surprise when Happy’s Place was announced. The show follows McEntire’s Bobbie, who inherits a bar from her father after he dies, but must co-own it with her far younger half-sister, Isabella.

Asked about Happy’s Place season 2, showrunner Kevin Abbott told TVLine:

“We’re going to continue to explore the Bobbie/Emmett relationship… One of the impediments to that is that Emmett holds a secret. I’m not going to tell you what that secret is, but he has one, and it’s, I think, a very interesting one.”

Bobbie and Emmett’s Relationship Is Set To Get Complicated In Happy’s Place Season 2

The Second Season of Reba McEntire’s Sitcom Delves Deeper Into Their Story

Reba as Bobbie scowling and smiling while spending time with Emmett in Happy's Place season 1

Since Bobbie didn’t even know about Isabella, the setup between them was pretty complicated and contentious at first in season 1. However, as season 2 approaches, the good news is that Isabella and Bobbie finished season 1 on much better terms than the pair of half-siblings started. Of course, this just sets up a new drama in Bobbie and Emmett’s story.

Interestingly, Abbott told TVLine that he originally wanted Rex Linn’s quiet, charming cook Emmett and McEntire’s resilient Bobbie to hook up earlier in season 1. However, the prohibitively short 13-episode season meant that this plot didn’t have enough screen time to shine, so he instead opted to wait for season 2.

    Happy’s Place season 1 debuted on October 18, 2024.

On the one hand, this means that Happy’s Place season 2 can benefit from the chemistry between real-life couple McEntire and Linn. Reba’s lack of love interests in the earlier show was always an unfortunate oversight, so it’s great to see McEntire getting to explore this side of her character this time around.

Our Take On Emmett’s Massive Secret In Happy’s Place Season 2

Emmett’s Big Reveal Could Be Any Number of Potential Twists

Rex Linn as Emmett in Happy's Place

That said, it is hard not to get a little worried about McEntire’s Bobbie when reading Abbott’s comments. The showrunner is clearly rooting for the couple, as evidenced by his decision to hold off on their romantic moment for maximum impact. However, Emmett’s massive secret could be anything, and it could well derail their relationship.

Emmett’s Happy’s Place season 2 secret has the potential to seriously harm an otherwise promising plot.

If there’s anything that Bobbie needs right now, it’s consistency. She has just inherited a business and found out about a secret half-sister, so her relationship with Emmett is meant to be a reprieve from all this drama. As such, Emmett’s Happy’s Place season 2 secret has the potential to seriously harm an otherwise promising plot.

Reba’s 73% RT Sitcom Sets Season 2 Premiere Date With Super-Sized Return

Reba with a microphone in the trailer for Happy's Place

Reba McEntire returned to the world of TV sitcoms with Happy’s Place on NBC in 2024, and now, the network has set a premiere date for season 2. The second season will land on NBC’s fall schedule in November 2025 with a special premiere.

The first season sees Bobbi (McEntire) inherit her father’s tavern, only to find out that she has to share it with a half-sister (Belissa Escobido) she never knew she had. Happy’s Place season 2 will pick up the tension and family bonding as the last scripted series of NBC’s fall 2025 schedule to premiere.

Happy’s Place season 2 will premiere on Friday, November 7, at 8:00 PM; however, the premiere night will be a special one as two episodes will air instead of one, giving the audience an entire hour of the sitcom to look forward to.

What The Double Premiere Means For Happy’s Place

NBC Has Faith In The Sitcom

Though Happy’s Place was renewed for season 2 in February, there has not been a lot of information revealed about the upcoming season. With the news of a special premiere for the sophomore season of the series, that could change.

The double-episode premiere night is a good sign for Happy’s Place. It’s a sign of NBC’s faith in the sitcom, which averaged just over 3 million live viewers per episode in its first season (via TV Series Finale). It ranked 7th in the ratings for all of NBC’s scripted shows for the 2024-2025 season (also via TV Series Finale), helping it avoid cancellation.

While sitcoms are typically standalone episodes so that new viewers can pick up a sitcom at any point in the series, a double premiere could also indicate that the story from the premiere continues into the second episode of the series. That could help hold the attention of sitcom viewers who are used to having to wait for the next week.

Happy’s Place showrunner Kevin Abbott previously told ScreenRant that season 2 will explore potential romance for Reba’s Bobbie, and that could easily start as early as the season 2 premiere. The audience already wants to see Bobbie happy because she’s Reba McEntire, and that double premiere could hook them further.

Showrunner Kevin Abbott previously worked on the sitcom Reba with Reba McEntire.

Our Take On The Double Premiere For Happy’s Place

NBC Is Giving Its Comedies A Chance To Thrive

These days, NBC is best known as the network home for (most of) Dick Wolf’s procedural series, like the Law & Order and One Chicago universes. It is not as well-known for its sitcoms as it was in the heyday of Friends. Giving Happy’s Place a double episode for its premiere night means NBC is ready to allow its sitcoms to grow.

Reba points the finger at herself while at the bar in Happy's Place

Happy’s Place is not the only sitcom that is getting a double premiere night from NBC. St. Denis Medical will premiere on Monday, November 3 at 8:00 PM with a double episode as well. Those double episodes will really allow NBC’s audience to soak in the series and make them more likely to return the next week.

For new viewers, those double premieres might even lead to checking out the previous seasons on Peacock. A double episode should work well for Happy’s Place, bringing the series the attention it deserves. Clearly, NBC has faith that new audience members will be tuning in for the full hour.

Today’s Carson Daly returns to show revealing massive health update after fans praised ‘inspiring’ host

BELOVED television host Carson Daly has made tremendous progress with his health after undergoing a new procedure.

Carson Daly has dealt with back pain for decades due to a snowmobile accident, but he’s closer to recovery after receiving a new treatment.

The TODAY co-host, 48, received a new procedure called Intracept, in hopes of being relieved of his lower-back pain, he announced on TODAY.

While filming for MTV in the 90s, Daly suffered from a T12 compression factor, which he says is “actually not that bad” when it comes to back injuries.

However, that didn’t mean he would be in any less pain.

In the early days of the injury the pain came and went, but as the years went by it grew more severe and persistent.

“The pain source actually isn’t coming from those discs or the vertebrae. It’s coming from within the vertebrae,” said Carson.

He wasn’t able to play with his kids the way they asked him to, which affected him.

“If you just follow me around for the day, you hear me. I’m, like, ‘Oh, eh.’ It’s like I’m an old man, and it sucks because there’s times when my son’s like, ‘Hey Dad, let’s go play basketball, or let’s go outside and throw the ball.’”

Doctors told him pain management was his only option since his back was still “structurally sound.”

After a bad reaction to pain pills, he deemed them a last resort and went on to try other things like yoga, physical therapy, and cupping.

Daly decided to try a new minimally-invasive, FDA-approved procedure called Intracept. Although he says it’s not a “cure-all,” he is hopeful for the relief it has brought.

Upon his return to TODAY, he told the group of anchors that he was feeling good and felt the new treatment has “definitely relieved some sharp pains.”

TODAY will be doing a special segment documenting the surgery and his recovery in the coming weeks.

This comes as fans praised the host for opening up about mental health.

Daly spoke about his anxiety and panic attacks in an article for USA Today.

“On The Voice, when I’m live on Monday nights, most of the time, my right hand is in my right pocket, and I’m literally gripping onto the flesh of my thigh because I’m waiting for a high-panic moment to pass.”

He said since he started talking openly about his anxiety, he’s been in a much better place.

This summer, TODAY will be featuring a series called “Mind-Matters” with the goal to open up the conversation around mental health and humanizing the issue.

On an Instagram post from Daly, fans thanked him for making the matter known.

One user wrote: “Thank you so much for your honesty regarding mental health!! It’s been so helpful to help normalize my struggles with panic.”

Another said: “Oh how I can relate. 15 yrs and counting. I’ve missed out on so many opportunities in my adult life because of the fear of having panic attacks. Thank you so much for putting it out there for all of us to see. You are braver than you know.

The Voice fans slam ‘inappropriate’ Blake Shelton over his NSFW comment to new coach Camila Cabello during wild premiere

THE Voice fans have slammed Blake Shelton for making a NSFW comment to Camila Cabello during the show’s wild season 22 premiere on Monday.

The former Fifth Harmony member, 25, has only just joined as a new coach, while the country star, 46, has been part of the series since it debuted in 2011.

A short while into the premiere episode, Blake interrupted Camila’s confessional interview backstage with some fighting words – some of them NSFW.

Proving how competitive he is, the country crooner tried to throw the new coach off her game by not only surprising her backstage but also by doing so with some strange comments.

He went after Camila’s ensemble for her first day, which was a black dress with a puffy-sleeved blouse underneath, and a large pink flower pinned at the neck of the top.

After Camila told Blake that she was telling the cameraman all about her tricks to win, he sarcastically joked: “Is it your puffy sleeves? Is that a pirate shirt?”

She just went with it and said: “Arghh!”

Where he went next with his comments, she had trouble getting anything out aside from her shocked laughter.

“Does your flower squirt? Is it a squirty flower,” he asked, realizing a little bit after he said it, and after she started chuckling, that his remark was quite the sexual innuendo.

Blake added: “Sounds weird when I say it like that. Almost inappropriate, disgusting.”

Still laughing, but now pointing at him and looking a little uncomfortable, she told him: “That’s what I was gonna say. Very inappropriate.”

After the awkward NSFW encounter, he just told her, “OK, continue on,” and hurried away.

    FOUL FLOWER

Fans on Twitter were not happy with Blake’s squirting flower comment.

One fan was unimpressed: “Squirting jokes? Really?”

This fan thought it was uncalled for: “squirting flower sounds super inappropriate from Blake”

Another user called it creepy: “Blake, talking about squirting flowers in just creepy.”

This Twitter user agreed: ““Does your flower squirt?”  Um WTF? That was disgusting!”

Another fan said: “Tell me Blake didn’t just ask Camilia if her  “flower squirts”!!!?”

    SHOW CHANGES

Last week, judge John Legend teased there are a few key changes to the show this season.

While appearing alongside his costars — Gwen Stefani, Blake, and Camila – on The TODAY Show, he dished all about the switches happening on The Voice.

Host Hoda Kotb asked: “So, is this year different because we are used to seeing guest coaches, you bring in all kinds of things.

“How is this year, John, different than years past?”

That’s when John revealed: “Well, we are going to have a really special three-way knockout that we are going to have this season.

    “Which we’ve never done before.”

    Hoda asked: “What is that?”

“So, normally our knockouts are one-on-one, but this year we are doing threes each knockout, and we have to choose between them so that’s pretty crazy,” John explained.

The coach said that they can only choose one in the end though.

Hoda also welcomed newcomer, Camila, to the show and talked about Blake’s success.

She spoke with Gwen a bit about being married to Blake and being on the show together as husband and wife.

Gwen’s marital status isn’t the only thing that’s changed for her, as fans have noticed that her face has seemed to change over the years, as well.

After the superstar shared a clip from The Voice on her social media, followers began commenting on her different appearance.

One said: “So love Gwen, but stop messing with your eyes. They are disappearing.”

Another critic noted: “It looks like she got a facelift or something.”

A third agreed and added: ” I don’t like it! What did you do to your face!?!”

“Wish she would stop having work done on her face,” one user chimed in.

Another critic claimed: “Oh no! She got botox, and you can tell. You can barely see her eyes now!”

The Voice continues with part two of its premiere on Tuesday at 8 p.m. on NBC.
