[$H0CKING] Vanna White Has Dropped An F-B0mb During Wheel Of Fortune

Why Fans Think Vanna White May Have Dropped An F-Bomb During Wheel Of Fortune

Vanna White arm in arm with Ryan Seacrest on Wheel of Fortune winter wonderland

Whenever game show contestants make wildly bad guesses or manage to lose out after coming so close to winning, it’s not so uncommon for viewers to play armchair quarterback while yelling any number of NSFW comments at the TV. Less common, however, are such exclamations from those heading up the game shows themselves. But that hasn’t stopped some Wheel of Fortune fans from thinking Vanna White dropped an F-bomb on the air.

Understandably, the moment in question didn’t take place during the usual in-studio portion of Wheel of Fortune’s episode filming. (I can only imagine if Vanna responded to a contestant’s request to buy an E with “Fuck no, you can’t.”) After the winning contestant walked away from the Bonus Round with a brand new vehicle, Seacrest cued up a pretaped clip from a ski trip to Park City the co-stars took together. Although calling it a “ski trip” implies both successfully traversed a slope or two, and that definitely wasn’t the case.

Seacrest facetiously claimed that White “panicked” after he took a wrong turn, and in the video we see, the radio host’s wrong turn happened almost immediately after he tried to confidently push himself forward. And it’s indeed how White reacts that plays into viewers’ hearing more mature language than what game shows usually offer up. Here’s the exchange:

RYAN: All right, thanks for watching from this winter wonderland. See you next time on Wheel of Fortune!
    VANNA: Bye! Oooh! [QUESTIONABLE]
RYAN [now laid out facefirst in the snow]: Too big of a slope for me.
VANNA: I’m gonna go help Ryan. Bye-bye!

It’s a goofy bit, though I genuinely bought into the notion that Vanna White was not comfortable with the idea of zipping around snowy mountains with skis attached. I can also buy into the belief that Vanna would be the most fashionable person standing on any mountain at any given time, but that’s beside the point.

Soon after the episode aired, one fan took to Reddit to see if they were alone in assuming that Vanna exclaimed “Fuck!” after seeing Seacrest tumble. As the OP wrote in the comments of the post:

I swear she says the F word! . . . I keep trying to give her the benefit of the doubt that maybe she said duck lol NOPE!

To that Redditor’s credit, the audio from the recorded video in the post sounds tinny and sharp enough that it does actually sound like an F-bomb, even if it wasn’t muttered under her breath as it probably would have been had she accidentally cursed on TV.

But it almost definitely was not “fuck” that spewed forth from the co-host’s mouth. When rewatching the episode with my YouTube TV subscription, I put the closed captions on, and it confirmed my belief that all she said there was “Look!” since the camera goes to Seacrest right after she says it.

And I think we can all agree on how unlikely it is that an episode taped and edited far in advance of airing would have left an F-bomb in there untouched. I can’t even imagine a world where a bleeped-out version of that moment would air, and can only assume it would have been re-recorded if Vanna did indeed let one slip.

One can assume that Vanna helped Seacrest up, and without cursing him out, since we already know how kind and giving she’s been to him during his freshman year as Wheel of Fortune host. (And he still chose to amusingly prank her for Christmas.) She also thought it would be a fun idea to ask fans to give him a nickname, though that may have gone slightly more askew than she expected.

That Other Time Ryan Seacrest Fell Down Recently

Snowy weather doesn’t need to enter into the picture for Ryan Seacrest to take a random tumble in front of Wheel of Fortune viewers. In the same week that his ski stumble happened, the esteemed host also lost his footing on the set itself thanks to an overly joyous contestant.

After the winner hugged and grabbed onto Seacrest in the midst of leaping up and down, he let go at just the wrong moment, sending the American Idol emcee down for a quick count. Hopefully he’ll manage to stay upright for the remainder of episodes airing this week.

Wheel of Fortune contestant was so excited after his big win on Tuesday’s (January 21) episode that he tackled Ryan Seacrest to the ground during his celebration.

The contestant in question was Daniel Thomas from San Marcos, California, who went up against Dina Carlow from Chesapeake, Virginia, and Amaryllis DeJesus from Wesley Chapel, Florida.

Thomas, who told Seacrest he likes driving down the coast with his dad and listening to talk radio, made it to the Bonus Round with $31,950 cash and a trip to Alaska. He selected the “Living Things” category, along with the additional letters “H, G, D, and O.”

    This gave him a one-word puzzle that read: “G _ _ _ _ E S.”

“Good luck,” Seacrest said as the ten-second timer started.

Thomas looked baffled, struggling to even come up with an attempt at an answer. However, with just two seconds remaining, he was struck with a moment of inspiration and answered, “Guppies!”

“That’s it! You did it,” Seacrest said as Thomas ran over to hug him.

During the embrace, Seacrest lost his footing and took a tumble onto the studio floor. “Oh my gosh, are you okay?” Thomas asked, helping the American Idol host back to his feet.

Seacrest took the fall in his stride, saying, “I’m good,” and then opening the prize envelope to reveal Thomas added an extra $40,000 to his winnings, giving him a grand total of $71,950.

The host then humorously backed away from Thomas and ducked behind the prize wheel. “Vanna [White], you’ll have to take over,” he joked, clutching his stomach.

Seacrest asked Thomas how he managed to do that in the last second, to which the contestant quipped, “Push you over or solve the puzzle?”

Closing out the show, Seacrest told White, “I don’t know if you saw, but I think he was excited.”

“You think?” White replied before asking if her co-host was okay.

“Oh yeah, it’s great,” he said. “To all future contestants, please, if you win, pick me up, throw me over, tackle me, I’m totally fine with it.”

“Don’t listen to him!” White warned.

It was an episode of unforgettable moments, as earlier in the game, the three contestants landed on the Bankrupt wedge four times in a row… on two separate occasions!

This led to Seacrest turning to the camera and saying, “If you’re just joining us to Wheel of Bankrupt, welcome!”

Fans took to social media to react to the wild episode, with one Reddit user writing, “I saw this episode…It was totally CRAZY!!!”

“Truly an insane show! At least everyone shared in the misery,” said another, referring to the amount of bankrupts.

“That was so wholesome! You sure you’re okay, Ryan?” another added.

Another wrote, “I’m glad Ryan is ok but man that was funny!!”

“Ten thousand bankrupts and then Ryan gets knocked over at the end. Fun episode,” said one fan.

‘Wheel of Fortune’ fans are speechless with $h0ck at Vanna White’s terrible words

Why ‘Wheel of Fortune’ Fans Think Vanna White Just Said This NSFW Word

A slip of the tongue on Wheel of Fortune has fans replaying a clip to determine if Vanna White just dropped the F-bomb on TV.

During the Wednesday, January 22 episode of the game show, as part of their Winter Wonderland Week, host Ryan Seacrest and White, 67, appeared in a segment where they were skiing in Park City, Utah.

While Seacrest, 50, tumbled down the slope off-camera, White’s reaction caused a stir.

Many viewers believe that White’s response to the fall sounded suspiciously like a four-letter expletive and debated about it on the Wheel Reddit forum.

Vanna White “I swear she says the F word!” one fan commented, while another agreed, “That’s what I thought she said too!”

A third corrected, “She said ‘Look,’not the F word,” while a fourth confirmed via subtitles, “She said ‘Look’. At least that’s what the closed captioning said.”

Despite some viewers pointing out that closed captions indicated White said “look,” others were unconvinced, continuing to speculate about what was really said. “I keep trying to give her the benefit of the doubt that maybe she said duck, lol, NOPE!” another fan added.

Vanna White Ryan Seacrest This isn’t Seacrest’s first tumble on Wheel this week. The TV personality lost his footing on the Tuesday, January 21 episode— though this time, it was thanks to a contestant’s excitement.

Pittsburgh native Daniel Thomas made it to the bonus round and, after correctly solving a puzzle, hugged Seacrest so enthusiastically that he toppled the host onto the floor. The audience laughed as Seacrest quickly got to his feet, assuring Thomas, “No, I’m good! I’m good!”

While the audience was clearly entertained by the unexpected mishap, Seacrest was all smiles, telling Thomas, “Don’t worry — I loved it!” The excited contestant went on to win $71,950, but not before accidentally taking down Seacrest with his celebratory hug.

Ryan Seacrest hopes to achieve one mega Wheel of Fortune goal in 2025

“Wheel of Fortune” host Ryan Seacrest was tackled to the ground after an overly excited contestant competed on the beloved game show for the grand prize money.

A Pittsburgh native named Daniel showed how ecstatic he was, after an intense bonus round during Tuesday night’s episode.

The category was “Living Things,” and Daniel chose the letters H, G, D and O. After being left with G _ _ _ _  E S, the “Wheel of Fortune” contestant beat the buzzer in what viewers were calling an “insane” moment.

Once the player guessed “Guppies,” Daniel jumped up and down with excitement before hugging Seacrest and accidentally knocking him down.

After Seacrest was pushed to the ground, Daniel kept asking the host whether he was OK.

Seacrest assured him, “I’m good, I’m good.”

The “Wheel of Fortune” announcer was heard overhead saying, “Daniel, easy on our host, but celebrate with $40,000,” as the contestant took home the grand prize.

Seacrest, 50, was seen holding his back in pain, moving away from Daniel as he approached the host.

“Did I make you fall?” he asked again, as the host proceeded to hide behind the mini-wheel, while announcing that Daniel was taking home a total of $71,950 for his overall game show wins.

After Seacrest and Daniel hugged it out, the host jokingly grimaced in pain and said, “Vanna, you have to take over, but how did you do that in the last second?”

“Push you over or solve the puzzle?” Daniel laughed, and then apologized to Seacrest once more.

The “American Idol” host replied, “No, don’t worry, I loved it.”

The official “Wheel of Fortune” YouTube account shared a recap of the bizarre moment, as Seacrest started the clip and said, “Throw me over, tackle me, I’m totally fine with it,” alongside longtime co-host Vanna White.

On the game show’s Instagram account, the caption for the recap video read, “Bookmarking this video for when we see an influx of people tackling Ryan in the show,” along with a laughing emoji.

Fans were quick to comment on Seacrest’s fall on “Wheel of Fortune.”

In June 2023, former longtime host Pat Sajak announced he would be exiting the show. A week later, it was announced that Seacrest would be taking over as host in Season 42.

After Sajak’s final episode aired in 2024, Seacrest took to social media to bid the longtime host farewell.

“Pat, congratulations on an incredible run with Wheel of Fortune! Your dedication, charm, and wit have made the show a beloved part of American television for decades,” he wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of himself, Sajak and White.

“Your partnership with Vanna has been nothing short of iconic, and together, you’ve created countless wonderful memories for viewers. You’ve set the standard for hosts everywhere, and this marks the end of an era. Best wishes for all your future endeavors!”

The 1 Thing Reba McEntire & Rex Linn Don’t Agree on While Filming Happy’s Place

The 1 Thing Reba McEntire & Rex Linn Don’t Agree on While Filming Happy’s Place

The actors have different endearing approaches to prepare for shooting scenes, according to cast mate Pablo Castelblanco.

A sitcom is nothing without its ensemble cast, and Happy’s Place is no exception. The cast has a deep bench with Reba McEntire returning to sitcoms as Bobbie Jo, who inherits her father’s tavern and finds out about his secret daughter Isabelle (Belissa Escobedo). (McEntire previously starred for many seasons on the hit sitcom Reba.)

Pablo Castelblanco plays the bar’s accountant Steve, and Tokala Black Elk plays waiter Takoda. The show brings together the band of loveable characters in the charming Tennessee tavern. In a chat with NBC Insider, Escobedo and Castelblanco opened up about joining the show alongside sitcom legends.

Belissa Escobedo and Pablo Castelblanco share what it’s like to work with Reba McEntire

Is there anything Reba McEntire can’t do? The country music star has soared on the Billboard charts, is a Coach alum on The Voice, has a killer sweet potato casserole recipe, and proven her acumen as an actress with her iconic 2000s sitcom with her namesake.

Gabby (Melissa Peterman) and Bobbie (Reba McEntire) stand behind a bar together in Happy's Place Season 1, Episode 1.

Though Happy’s Place is a completely new concept and show from McEntire’s last sitcom, she reunites with Melissa Peterman (Reba, Young Sheldon) and many of the same crew and writers joined as well, according to Escobedo.

“It feels like… being part of a resurgence of sitcom television, and that’s very special ,and so I’m feeling so lucky,” Escobedo said. “Reba is an angel, so it’s awesome to go to work every day and have it be her at the forefront.”

Reba Mcentire and Belissa Escobedo star in the pilot episode for Happy's Place

For Castelblanco, one of the biggest joys for an actor is the chance to be doing a multi-cam sitcom.

“You get to rehearse it and then performing in front of a live audience,” Castelblanco explained. “It’s like you’re opening a play every time you tape an episode.”

Working with the cast of Happy’s Place has been a “delight” for him.

“I’m working with great people that are hilarious,” Castelblanco said. “They’re all doing a very specific thing.”

McEntire’s real-life love Rex Linn rounds out the cast as Bobbie’s love interest, the bar’s short-order cook Emmett.

“They’re so cute that they’re gross,” Escobedo joked about the couple’s dynamic on and off set. “No, I’m just kidding, but they are like sickeningly sweet…I love seeing them be happy…I can’t imagine how cool it is to go to work and be able to be with your boo. That’s really sweet.”

Castelblanco called them the “sweetest couple ever.”

“They’re also, like, very supportive of each other,” Castelblanco said. “I feel like they know their tempos really well. Rex loves to rehearse the episodes. I think Reba’s like… waits a little bit more to see what the final lines are gonna be.”

The different methods lead to the actors pushing each other in either direction, Castelblanco explained.

“Like, ‘Oh, you should rehearse more,’ and she’s like, ‘Well, you should wait until the lines…’ and I just love that they’re, like, keeping each other safe and… happy, but then at the same time they’re kind of like…you know they’re a couple,” Castelblanco said.

Season 1 of Happy’s Place returns Friday, January 3, 2025 at 8/7c on NBC. New episodes are available the next day on Peacock.

  • Happy’s Place Is Better Than A Reba Revival Because Of One Divisive Character

Happy’s Place Is Better Than A Reba Revival Because Of One Divisive Character

Happy’s Place Is Better Than A Reba Revival Because Of One Divisive Character

Reba McEntire New TV Show Is Repeating Most Iconic Part Of Sitcom

Happy’s Place will be Reba McEntire’s return to network TV comedy, and even before its premiere, it’s already better than a Reba revival because of one character. The Queen of Country Music re-teams with producer Kevin Abbott for her next sitcom, this time on NBC. Happy’s Place will be a departure from McEntire’s usual roles in comedies, as this time, her story will be focused on running a bar with her newfound sister, Isabella. In the age of reboots and revivals, however, there’s curiosity about why McEntire and Abbott just didn’t bring back Reba.

While it has been a while since McEntire spearheaded her own sitcom, she has occasionally dabbled in the sandbox in the last several years. The last time she was in a comedy was when she made an unexpected return as June, Dale’s ex-wife, in the Young Sheldon finale. As she leads her own series in Happy’s Place, there’s excitement over this unique premise for the singer/actor’s character, especially as McEntire reunites with fellow Reba alum, Melissa Peterman, who plays Gabby in the project. This, however, further highlights the missed opportunity to do a revival of their old show.

Reviving Reba Is Difficult Because Of Melissa Peterman’s Barbra Jean

What Brock & Barbara Jean Did To Reba Was Unacceptable

That said, Peterman being part of Happy’s Place‘s cast is the exact reason why it is a much better comedy comeback for McEntire. In Reba, Peterman played Barbra Jean, Reba’s ex-husband’s mistress-turned-second wife. While she was mostly played for comedic purposes, the character’s origins are actually dark — something that the sitcom never fully explored. While the role she played in breaking up the Hart family was addressed, it was always through humor, which undercut the seriousness of what she and Brock did.

At some points, Reba herself played quasi-marriage counselor to his ex-husband and his former mistress, which was effective comedy then, but it may no longer work now.

What makes this worse is that Peterman and McEntire have great chemistry. So, bar their unsavory connection in Reba, it was fairly easy to enjoy their scenes together. Perhaps, this is also the reason why the sitcom was able to get away with not fully exploring the severity of Brock’s affair and the role that Barbra Jean played in it. Towards the end of Reba, this was not even addressed anymore. At some points, Reba herself played quasi-marriage counselor to his ex-husband and his former mistress, which was effective comedy then, but it may no longer work now.

Happy’s Place Takes Advantage Of Reba McEntire & Melissa Peterman’s Chemistry Without Reba’s Burden

Bobbie & Gabbie Are Almost Equals In Happy’s Place

Melissa Peterman & Reba McEntire in Happy's Place

The good news is that in Happy’s Place, McEntire and Peterman are playing different characters. This means that it can fully capitalize on the pair’s chemistry without the burden of their past as Reba and Barbra Jean in Reba. Specific character details are still scant at this point, but it seems like Gabbie will be Bobbie’s right-hand person in her tavern. They seem to have a sister-like dynamic even though they aren’t related by blood.

    Spoiler Alert

[Warning: The below contains MAJOR spoilers for Happy’s Place, Season 1 Episode 10, “The Macallister Girls.”]

Happy’s Place made way for the introduction of another member of Bobbie’s (Reba McEntire) family as her daughter Gracie (Emma Kenney) returned home for a visit.

A member of the military, Gracie had been stationed at a base in Qatar and made the long journey home to reunite with Bobbie, Abby (Melissa Peterman), and more, but not necessarily the new aunt she never saw coming, Isabella (Belissa Escobedo). Upon her arrival, Gracie is pressured to connect with Isabella who couldn’t be anymore different from her in personality, at least when Bobbie is putting the pressure on them.

Eager to try and make it work, the self-professed psychology expert Isabella finds an in with Gracie when they relate over having overbearing moms. While this revelation doesn’t please Bobbie, it brings Gracie and Isabella closer together and forces Bobbie and Gracie to confront the grief that tore their family apart.

As Gracie admits in the episode, her father’s death was one of the things that drove her away from home, and Bobbie finally gets some closure over that idea, allowing the mother and daughter to reconnect in a way they hadn’t in a long time. Overall, it’s a very touching and uniting episode filled with hope for the future. Below, Kenney opens up about Gracie’s introduction, hopes for her return, reveals what it was like following in the footsteps of her former Shameless castmate on the NBC comedy, and the experience of taking on a multi-camera comedy other than ABC‘s The Conners.

What was it like stepping onto the Happy’s Place stage though?

Emma Kenney: Stepping onto the Happy’s Place set at Universal was so welcoming. Everybody was so kind and wanted to make sure I was comfortable and felt I had everything I needed, and I was really lucky for that. I’m not used to going to a set as the newbie coming onto an already established cast. So I was a little nervous going into it, but as soon as I met everyone, my nerves were really made at ease.

Your Shameless costar Steve Howey already guest-starred this season. Did you get to connect before your arrival as Gracie?

Yeah, we did. I love Steve. We keep in touch frequently. He just told me how wonderful the cast was and how much fun he had on that set. He has known Reba for years and has always spoken so highly of her. So I definitely knew I was going into a safe space, but once I actually stepped foot there, I was like, “Okay, this is a really warm, good environment. I feel very comfortable and happy here.” No pun intended.

Would you like to reconnect with him on this show by guesting at the same time?

Of course. I mean, I love Steve. I love him on and off camera. He’s so much fun to work with and hang out with in general, especially on set. So yeah, that’d be a dream. I would love it.
    Emma Kenney in 'Happy's Place'

Bobbie really wants her daughter to get along with Isabella, but the niece and aunt have a tough time connecting. What was it like finding common ground in Isabella and Gracie’s dynamic with Belissa Escobedo?

I definitely felt there was a big character growth in this one episode. When I read the script, I could see it, but I wanted to make sure it was received. Gracie starts at one note, her relationship with each character kind of evolves a bit, specifically with Reba and Belissa’s characters, and I wanted to make sure that you could see some heart in her and see the growth, which I had a really good time creating with Reba and Belissa.

Considering Gracie’s role as Bobbie’s daughter, did you approach the character with the idea that you might return down the line? Would you like to?

Yeah, definitely. We wanted to establish the energy between my character Gracie and everybody in Happy’s Place. So I wanted to make sure that was very much in the forefront of my mind and her toughness contrasts with her moments of vulnerability, which I feel makes her relatable and a multidimensional character.

Bobbie and Gracie address the hurdles between them by facing their shared grief over the loss of a husband and father. Would you like to explore that story more onscreen? Perhaps there’s room for a flashback episode to introduce their family patriarch?

That would be a great idea and would bring a lot of explanation to who Gracie is and who Bobbie is now as well. [That] scene I felt was so beautiful on camera with Reba and an emotional one. It was one of the first scenes I shot that week with her, and it was rewarding. And I felt starting with that scene gave me a stronger point of view on my character, especially after doing it with Reba versus just preparing it on paper with my acting coach.

You star in The Conners, how did your experience on this multi-camera comedy differ from that?

Yeah, I definitely understand the multi-camera world pretty well. But I learned a lot from each performer and how warm the environment was, and we do our live shows on different nights, which also I thought was interesting to see the difference doing a show on a Tuesday versus a Friday.

  • Fans Are Worried About Reba’s Happy’s Place Future After NBC’s Surprising Update For Its Breakout Comedy

Fans Are Worried About Reba’s Happy’s Place Future After NBC’s Surprising Update For Its Breakout Comedy

I’m Worried About Reba’s Happy’s Place Future After NBC’s Surprising Update For Its Breakout Comedy

Bobbie, Gracie, and Isabelle posing for a photo in Happy's Place season 1, episode 10

NBC’s latest update leaves me concerned about Happy’s Place. The Reba-led sitcom about a woman who learns of her half-sister’s existence after her father’s death is one of the network’s most popular shows. Happy’s Place debuted with over 10 million views and has consistently performed well despite its early Friday night time slot. It revolves around Bobbie’s (Reba McEntire) discovery that her father left half the tavern she is running to her half-sister, Isabella (Belissa Escobedo), as well as the interactions between the various quirky people who work at the tavern.

Happy’s Place‘s strong ratings were enough for NBC to extend its order for a full season. However, despite the high viewership numbers, Happy’s Place season 2 is not guaranteed, since the network has not yet renewed it. NBC recently announced good news for the fans for a different freshman sitcom, so its silence about Happy Place’s future is making me worried, especially knowing that just because a show is popular, it doesn’t mean it’s saved from cancelation.

St. Denis Medical Already Scores A Season 2 Renewal (But Not Happy’s Place)

StDenis Medical is the first show to score a renewal from NBC this season. The medical-themed mockumentary’s renewal makes sense, considering that 21 million people have watched it so far (via Variety). However, it is disappointing that NBC did not renew Happy’s Place at the same time, considering that it is pulling in similar numbers. It is difficult to understand why NBC would renew one but not the other if the network is making these early renewal decisions based on numbers. Of course, the fact that NBC hasn’t renewed Happy’s Place yet doesn’t necessarily mean they won’t.

It’s possible that the network decided to wait a few days between announcements so that both Happy’s Place and St. Denis Medical get the media attention they deserve for their renewals. Additionally, it is early in the season — St. Denis is the first scripted show NBC has renewed for the 2025-2026 season so far, and typically announcements are not made until April or May.

…it’s baffling why NBC would opt to renew St. Denis Medical first when Happy’s Place premiered earlier.

While there is still plenty of time before NBC has to make a final decision about Happy’s Place, there is still some cause for concern. I’ve covered renewal announcements for long enough to know that a popular show not scoring an early renewal when another one does could be a bad sign for its future. In relation to that, it’s baffling why NBC would opt to renew St. Denis Medical first when Happy’s Place premiered earlier.

What Are The Chances Of Happy’s Place Getting Renewed For Season 2?

Its Strong Ratings And Star Appeal Make The Chances Better Than Average

Melissa Peterman as Gabby and Reba McEntire as Bobbie hugging in Happy's Place

Based on the ratings, I’m still hopeful that Happy’s Place will be renewed eventually. I’m still disappointed that Blue Bloods was canceled despite strong ratings, but the two shows are not comparable. Blue Bloods was on a different network and had been on for fourteen years, while Happy’s Place is a new show. Furthermore, Happy’s Place is a comedy, and there are far fewer of those on television than there are dramas. Thus, NBC will likely want to keep any well-performing comedies, particularly newer ones, since they are usually cheaper to make.

Reba McEntire New TV Show Is Repeating Most Iconic Part Of Sitcom

The other thing that gives me hope is Reba McEntire’s star power. Her well-known name attracts audiences and thus, it’s likely a selling point. However, this also comes with higher pay for the talent. NBC needs to determine if Happy’s Place is profitable enough to be kept on the air. Ultimately, it’s still a business, and networks are looking to earn as much as they can.

Why NBC Needs Both St. Denis Medical & Happy’s Place

The Network Needs Two Strong Comedies To Be Competitive

Actually, both St. Denis Medical and Happy’s Place are important to NBC’s lineup. These two are the network’s best-performing comedies, and while the network has other lighthearted fare such as Night Court, these two are currently the ones that most people are interested in. If NBC is going to be competitive with other networks in the comedy arena, it needs breakout sitcoms, especially in light of CBS’ winning lineup, which includes huge hits such as Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage and Ghosts.

Additionally, Friday nights are notoriously difficult for scripted television. People tend to start their weekends by going out, which impacts viewership. Since Happy’s Place is doing well on Friday nights, NBC should hold onto it for as long as possible. For all these reasons, I’m hopeful that the show will be renewed, even though it’s concerning that it hasn’t happened yet.

Solomon Barrett noted that her late mother ‘fought a long battle with dementia but is now with her loving husband, Jack Solomon in Heaven.’

Montgomery was married to Jack Solomon from 1968 until his death in 2014.

‘We know mom has been waiting to hold dad for over 10 years,’ she continued.

‘We will provide visitation and funeral arrangements as we learn more in the coming days. Thank you for loving our mom as much as we have. She was an incredibly talented, kind and generous woman.’

The note was signed off by Solomon Barrett; Montgomery’s daughters Tara Solomon Capps, Jackie Solomon Chancey; and her niece Diane Holt.

The New York Times was the first to report the news.

Montgomery was raised mostly in Alabama.

She got her star singing in church before she formed a trio band with her two brothers.

The trip won a Nashville talent contest, and subsequently, she was hired by artist Roy Acuff to tour with his band.

Montgomery recorded a few singles for a small label but did not get much traction.

In 1963 her luck changed when George Jones stumbled upon some of her tunes which made him bring Montgomery to his record label, United Artists.

They had a magical combination, it turned out.

Together they recorded 1963’s We Must Have Been Out of Our Minds which went to number three on the charts.

Next came 1963’s Let’s Invite Them Over and What’s in Our Heart.

In 1972 they had a hit with the tune Party Pickin.

When she worked with Charlie Louvin they created the hit songs Something to Brag About and Did You Ever.

Then when she worked with Gene Pitney, they had success with Being Together.

As a solo artist, her hit song was the 1974 ditty called No Charge; other notable mentions are Don’t Let the Good Times Fool You and Angel of the Morning.

Montgomery wed Jack Solomon in 1968, and they stated together until he died in 2014 at the age of 71.

She is survived by her brother Earl and her daughters Jackie Solomon Chancey, Tara Solomon Capps, Diana Lynn Cirigliano and Melissa Solomon Barrett; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren, according to The New York Times.

Lynn, who died in 2022 at age 90, had a total of 17 grandchildren and four step-grandchildren.

One of her granddaughters, Emmy Russell, competed on “American Idol” this year, making it to the Hollywood rounds.

It wasn’t her first time performing though, as Lynn would often bring Russell on stage when she still did concerts.

Loretta Lynn died in 2022 at age 90.

During an appearance on Southern Living’s “Biscuits & Jam” podcast, Russell said, “”Memaw [her name for Lynn] passed down her guitar to me when I was 15 at the Ryman Auditiorium. She said ‘You’re the one that can do it.’ She always thought I had this spark about me ever since I was a little kid. She felt she needed to give me the guitar as the torch in a way.”
