The Price Is Right is winding down their latest season and as they close out their last episodes, they’ve announced a big change coming for the next season.

In a video on their Instagram, host Drew Carey and announcer George Gray revealed that after 51 years, the iconic game show has filmed its last episodes in their home for over five decades, the Bob Barker Studio at Los Angeles’ Television City studio complex.

In the clip, Drew stated, “We’ve been here for 51 years in this historic stage. I used to tell people there was magic in the wood because of all the good vibes in this studio – all the laughs and all the fun that have been here. Now we gotta go and start a new place and put our own good vibes in the new place.” That new place will be in Glendale, California.

Viewers weren’t thrilled with the news since their current studio honored longtime host Bob Barker. Those fans made their thoughts known in the comments section.

One person wrote, “What? Who’s idea was this?? Let that person go!” Of course, there isn’t any one person who made the decision, rather the studio complex has been purchased with a planned renovation and upgrade, causing all the shows that tape there to need to move. The explanation didn’t make fans feel better though. One complained, “So much for historical site. That’s sad.”

Others didn’t mind the move but hoped the show would make another big change – bringing back the full audience.

One commenter said, “If they are going to a new studio, there needs to be a full audience, just like before COVID. That’ll make me happy,” and another agreed, “I personally think @therealpriceisright should stay where they are and go back to having a packed audience.”

Check out Monday’s episode of The Price Is Right, where they will take some time to say farewell to the Bob Barker Studio. According to Drew Carey, “It’s going to be historic.”

George Gray, the longtime announcer for The Price Is Right, suffered three heart attacks earlier this week.

While en route to the hospital in an ambulance on Monday, the 53-year-old game show announcer, who had been experiencing chest pain, had his first heart attack, according to his rep.

His second heart attack came after doctors put in his first stent, which failed. A second stent failed as well. The third heart attack, which was a widowmaker heart attack, took place when Gray was on the operating table.

Gray, who has been the announcer for The Price Is Right since 2011, is currently in stable condition and talking again. “He would love to thank all of his friends and fans for their outpouring of love and support, and is looking forward to recovering and to come on doooown to the set of Price once they resume production after the pandemic shutdown,” Gray’s rep tells PEOPLE.

TMZ was the first to report the news.

[VERY SAD] The whole world see ‘Wheel of Fortune’ Ryan Seacrest fell flat on his face on live TV

Fans react to Ryan Seacrest’s fall during ‘Wheel of Fortune’ winner’s celebration: ‘You good, Ryan?’

A last-second win in the bonus round by a recent “Wheel of Fortune” contestant knocked Ryan Seacrest off his feet.

The host wasn’t quite ready for the level of excitement from contestant Daniel after he nailed “Guppies” as the solution in the bonus round, as seen in the Jan. 21 episode of the game show. He only had the letters “G” “E” and “S” to work with, and he guessed correctly with one second remaining.

An overjoyed Daniel bear-hugged Seacrest while moving forward, which sent the host tumbling to the floor.

“Oh my gosh!” Thomas said after seeing Seacrest hit the ground.

“I’m good, I’m good,” Seacrest said as Daniel helped him up.

Seacrest then revealed that Daniel had won $40,000 for solving the puzzle for a total haul of $71,950 from the episode.

Announcer Jim Thornton had some fun with the moment, saying “Daniel, easy on our host, but celebrate with $40,000!”

    Daniel then apologized to Seacrest.

“I’m so sorry. Did I make you fall?” he said.

Seacrest jokingly kept his distance from Daniel when announcing his total prize money.

The host then asked Daniel how he was able to do that in the last second.

“Push you over or solve the puzzle?” Daniel asked.

Seacrest also commented on the fall in a quick moment with co-host Vanna White released by the show.

“Pick me up, throw me over, tackle me,” Seacrest said. “I’m totally fine with it.”

The show shared the moment on Instagram and YouTube.

“Bookmarking this video for when we see an influx of people tackling Ryan in the show… 🤣” the Instagram caption reads.

Fans also enjoyed the impromptu celebration.

“You good, Ryan?” one YouTube commenter wrote.

“That was so wholesome! You sure you’re okay, Ryan? 😂” one commented on Instagram.

“I don’t know which I’m more impressed by, the solve or the tackle lol,” another wrote on Instagram.

“That was incredible!! And the guy getting the puzzle was cool too😂. I hope you are okay, Ryan!” another fan commented on Instagram.

The Price Is Right announcer George Gray and wife Brittney Green have called it quits after five years of marriage.

Gray, 57, filed for divorce on Tuesday, January 21, according to court documents obtained by Us Weekly. The pair were married more than five years before parting ways. They do not share any children. (TMZ was first to report the news.)

The former talk show host listed the pair’s date of separation as August 1, 2024, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their split.

Gray and Green — a high school math teacher — tied the knot in April 2019 at The Westin La Paloma Resort in Tucson, Arizona. Gray’s brother officiated the ceremony.

A year into their marriage, Gray had a near-death experience when he suffered a heart attack in April 2020. “This was [like] tons of bricks hit me. Turns out I was 100 percent blocked on the right side of my heart,” Gray told Entertainment Tonight five months after his first surgery.

He was rushed to the hospital and underwent two emergency surgeries to clear the blocked arteries. While Gray was preparing for his necessary open-heart surgery, he suffered another heart attack.

“So I have stints and a quadruple bypass on top of that,” Gray recalled.

Although Gray was the one experiencing multiple surgeries, his spouse was equally worried about his life expectancy.

“After the second [heart attack] I thought he was gone in surgery,” Green told ET in 2020. “I was like, ‘Something could happen.’”

Five months later, Gray returned to work at The Price Is Right as an announcer, celebrating a decade on the game show team. Gray was a guest announcer in 2010 before becoming the full-time announcer in 2015 during season 44.

Gray also works as the announcer for The Price Is Right at Night. He previously hosted The Weakest LinkHGTV Showdown and Gimme My Reality Show!

While Green was by Gray’s side in his time of need, their marriage has seemingly dwindled. Gray last posted about his estranged wife on social media in April 2024.

At the time, he shared a video from The Price Is Right set and gave the band Grouplove a shout-out after attending one of their shows with Green earlier that month.

“My wife Brittney is a huuuge fan of @grouplove and we saw them at the historic @thewiltern in LA … Amazing!” he gushed via Instagram. “At a pre-concert VIP experience they took questions, and my wife asked ‘What’s your favorite game show?’ 😁.”

Gray proceeded to invite the band to The Price Is Right set since they revealed that the game show was at the top of their must-watch list. “You rock,” he concluded.

Green, meanwhile, has a private Instagram account. She still has a link to Gray’s heart attack and recovery story from ET linked in her bio.

Carrie Underwood has addressed her decision to perform at President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration.

In a statement shared on Monday, Jan. 13, the country star, 41, explained her reasoning for playing during the ceremony on Monday, Jan. 20.

“I love our country and am honored to have been asked to sing at the Inauguration and to be a small part of this historic event,” the American Idol winner said in a statement to PEOPLE. “I am humbled to answer the call at a time when we must all come together in the spirit of unity and looking to the future.”

On Monday, Jan. 13, a Presidential Inaugural Committee spokesperson confirmed to PEOPLE that Underwood is set to perform at the inauguration where Trump, 78, will be sworn in as the next president of the United States.

Over the years, the “Before He Cheats” musician has kept her political views private.

In a 2019 interview with The Guardian, the Grammy winner said she felt that “more people try to pin me places politically.”

“I try to stay far out of politics if possible, at least in public, because nobody wins,” Underwood explained at the time. “It’s crazy. Everybody tries to sum everything up and put a bow on it, like it’s black and white. And it’s not like that.”

Some fans thought her 2018 track “The Bullet” was a political statement.

“You can blame it on hate or blame it on guns / But mamas ain’t supposed to bury their sons,” she sings in the first verse. “Left a hole in her heart and it still ain’t done / The bullet keeps on goin.’ “

“Immediately people said, ‘Oh you have a song about gun control!’ It was more about the lives that were changed by something terrible happening,” Underwood told the outlet of the initial response. “And it does kind of bug me when people take a song, or take something I said and try to pigeonhole or force me to pick a side or something. It’s a discussion — a long discussion.”

Underwood’s participation in the inauguration comes more than seven years after she and fellow country star Brad Paisley poked fun at Trump while hosting the 2017 Country Music Association Awards together. During the show, the cohosts performed a parody of Underwood’s hit song “Before He Cheats,” replacing the signature chorus with “before he tweets.”

“And it’s fun to watch, yeah, that’s for sure / ’Til little Rocket Man starts a nuclear war,” the duo sang onstage at the CMAs. “Maybe next time, he’ll think before he tweets.”

Martina McBride took to social media Saturday to share some heartbreaking news with her fans.

    That news?

The country music star announced that her father, Daryl Schiff, has died.

    He was 86.

“I really don’t have the right words,” McBride wrote on Instagram. “My dad passed away Tuesday night. Our hearts are broken. He was 86 and had an amazing life. He was a third-generation family farmer. He was also the leader of our family band, The Schiffters. He taught me so much about music, about life, about how to treat others. Since my mom passed 5 years ago Dad and I talked on the phone every single night and sometimes during the day. Over 1800 conversations that I am so grateful I had. I was able to record some of them, some of his stories, and they are priceless to me. He kept active, still driving and living in his home, and ‘going down for coffee’ with his friends at the local CO-OP.”

McBride said that her father “passed away suddenly and peacefully at his home.”

“We shared a love of cooking and gardening, often sharing recipes and sending each other videos and photos of what we cooked and how our gardens were progressing. He loved to tell me what he had bought on his almost daily trips to the grocery store. He loved to sit on his porch and always told me when someone stopped by to visit. He loved his family, his friends and our mom. Having lived here all of his life, he was such an important member not only of the Sharon community but many communities in the area. People remember going to the Schiffters dances and hearing him sing.”

She said her father had “the kindest blue eyes and a great laugh.”

“So much of who I am came from him,” she continued. “There is so much more I could write, and probably will. Thank you for keeping us in your prayers during this time.”

Friends and fans were quick to respond to the post with prayers and support.

“My heart goes out to you and your family,” one person wrote. “May all the great memories comfort you during this sad time.”

There were plenty of other responses like that, too, and you can see them as well as McBride’s post, here.

The ‘Wicked’ star and Kamala Harris supporter couldn’t resist Liking a post that threw some shade at Underwood’s “America the Beautiful” awkwardness.

Ariana Grande “Liked” a rather wickedly witty Instagram post mocking Carrie Underwood‘s inauguration performance.

Underwood drew some controversy for electing to perform “America the Beautiful” at Donald Trump‘s second presidential inauguration on Monday. The “Before He Cheats” singer hasn’t previously been political and had made previous digs against Trump, so some of her fans were surprised and disappointed by the move. When the big moment came, Underwood’s accompanying music track failed (video below). After an awkward minute of silence, Underwood told the crowd, “If you know the words help me out here,” and then gamely plowed ahead and sang the challenging song a cappella. While the country star’s “show must go on” professionalism drew praise, her seemingly stressed performance received some snark online.

One of those social media barbs was from internet personality Evan Ross Katz, who shared a photo of outgoing Vice President Kamala Harris watching Underwood with the caption: “Kamala Harris evoking Coco Montrese (‘Girl, find the note’)” [while] watching Carrie Underwood’s at today’s chilling inauguration.” (That’s a RuPaul’s Drag Race reference, where Montrese criticized another contestant’s musical performance.)

Grande Liked the shade-tossing post, which was then screen-grabbed by outfits such as BuzzFeed.

    By Movieguide® Contributor

Beloved country star and actress Reba McEntire will star in Jon Erwin and Kelly Merryman Hoogstraten’s the Wonder Project’s latest movie THE ALL-GIRL FILLING STATION’S LAST REUNION.

The movie, based on the 2013 novel of the same name by Fannie Flagg, follows “Sookie Poole of Point Clear, Ala., who finds herself with time on her hands following her daughter’s marriage.”

    The synopsis continues:

The only thing left to contend with is her domineering mother, the formidable 90-year-old Lenore Simmons Krackenberry, who is obsessed with family lineage and Southern heritage. But when Sookie receives a series of mysterious letters that suggest that she’s adopted, she gets sent down a rabbit hole of self-discovery, ultimately uncovering the swashbuckling story of Fritzi Jurdabralinski and her sisters, a daring group of women who ran the first All Girl Filling Station during WWII and ultimately became the first female Air Force pilots.

McEntire expressed her excitement for the project, as well as her love for the story.

“I’ve always been a fan of Fannie Flagg and her writing, and it’s been an honor to call her my friend for the past decade. I cannot wait to work with this incredible team to bring another one of her special stories to life on the big screen,” she said.

“This is not the first Flagg project that McEntire has tried to bring to the screen, though. Back in 2020, McEntire announced that she was working on a television series based on Fried Green Tomatoes with Flagg and legendary producer Norman Lear on board to help,” Southern Living reported. However, it never came to fruition.

Reba McEntire Will Star In Film Adaptation Of A Beloved Novel By Fannie Flagg

THE ALL-GIRL FILLING STATION’S LAST REUNION will be directed by Callie Khouri with Tony-nominated playwright and screenwriter Bekah Brunstetter writing the script. Khouri, McEntire and Jeremy Latcham for Wonder Project will produce.

Currently, McEntire stars in sitcom HAPPY’S PLACE.

Reba McEntire has been working to get another show on air since REBA ended in 2007. HAPPY’S PLACE picks up after the end of REBA as McEntire’s character, Bobbie inherits her father’s tavern but is brought into business with her half-sister, who she never knew about, who inherits the business as well.

“My [character Bobbie’s] dad was Happy, that was his name, and we owned a tavern called Happy’s Place,” McEntire told People about the plot when the show was first announced. “Well, Happy passed, and so he’s passed the tavern onto me, but there’s a little hiccup involved, so that’s the mystery right there. Everybody has to tune in and watch it, and I hope they love it.”

Reba McEntire Will Star In Film Adaptation Of A Beloved Novel By Fannie Flagg

We are very excited about this!

    Reba McEntire

Reba McEntire is a country legend, of course, but she also knows a whole lot about Hollywood. While the singer and mentor on The Voice has a long list of on-screen accolades, including her work in Reba and Happy’s Place, she’s also been busy behind the scenes working as a producer.

Now, comes word that she is adding another line to her Hollywood resume. McEntire will star in and produce a film adaptation of the novel The All-Girl Filling Station’s Last Reunion by beloved Southern author Fannie Flagg.

Based on the book by Flagg, who is perhaps best known for her book, Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe, the story follows Mrs. Sookie Poole of Point Clear, Alabama. According to a press release, Poole is an empty nester who wants to relax after marrying off her daughter, but is instead sent down “a rabbit hole of self-discovery” when she starts receiving mysterious letters that claim she is adopted.

Her search for the truth about her birth family leads her to ”the swashbuckling story of Fritzi Jurdabralinski and her sisters, a daring group of women who ran the first All Girl Filling Station during WWII and ultimately became the first female Air Force pilots.”

Reba McEntire Set to Produce & Star in New Film 'The All-Girl Filling Station's Last

McEntire is expected to star in the film as well as produce it and already has the Oscar and Golden Globe-winning director Callie Khouri on board to direct. If you recall, Khouri created the TV series Nashville, produced Thelma & Louise, and wrote the movie for Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood. It’s pretty much a dream team to bring Flagg’s story to life.

This is not the first Flagg project that McEntire has tried to bring to the screen, though. Back in 2020, McEntire announced that she was working on a television series based on Fried Green Tomatoes with Flagg and legendary producer Norman Lear on board to help.

The hourlong drama, which certainly would have been a hit in the South, was in the works with NBC, but sadly never came to fruition.AL.com reports that McEntire discussed the fate of series on a podcast where she explained that it “just kinda went away.” McEntire summed it up as, all part of “showbiz.”

Fingers crossed that this film version makes it to our screens, because we’ll be first in line to watch!

Many celebrities issued political messages leading up to the 2024 election, but Reba McEntire was not one of them. On Election Day, however, the country star issued a perplexing statement that left fans all saying the same thing.

On Tuesday, Nov. 5, McEntire, 69, took to X (formerly Twitter) to share a photo of her new hairstyle.

The update included a side-by-side look at her signature red locks—with the photo on the left showing her sporting a longer ‘do and the image on the right revealing a much shorter style.

“Long or short, either way I love being a redhead! #NationalRedheadDay,” McEntire captioned the Election Day post.

In the comments, fans of the “Consider Me Gone” songstress suggested that it wasn’t the best day to focus on hair, though many were kind—but firm—with their responses.

One X user wrote, “Read the room Reba,” while another echoed, “love it god mother we’ll talk about it tomorrow.”

A different fan commented, “Reba, you know what we’re not going to do today? We’re not going to talk about your hairstyle.”

Someone else replied, “Now Reba baby I love you, but today ain’t it.”

Meanwhile, others were more heated, like one who declared, “Reba this is not the f–king time!”

A second incredulously exclaimed, “really?!?!? right now?” while someone else pointed out, “We’re a little busy right now, Reba.”

Still, others managed to make McEntire’s decidedly non-political post about politics.

“You got that right, red, red right down the ballot!” a Donald Trump supporter quipped, as a Kamala Harris voter commented, “We will celebrate redheads tomorrow. It’s only blue heads today!!!”

Through the years, McEntire has avoided endorsing a political candidate, as she reminded fans in 2021.

“Last night, an invitation to a political fundraiser with my name attached was sent out without my knowledge or permission,” she wrote via X. “I had and have no plans to attend this event and had told the event organizers as such.”

McEntire added, “Throughout my career, I have stated that I do not get involved in politics and that remains true today.”
