Ryan Seacrest takes hard fall on Wheel of Fortune set after being knocked to the ground by contestant & grimaces in pain

RYAN Seacrest was seen taking a hard fall on the Wheel of Fortune set after a contestant knocked him to the ground.

The game show host grimaced in pain after the tumble – causing panic from the player who repeatedly checked in to make sure the beloved TV personality was okay.

On Tuesday’s episode of Wheel of Fortune, Daniel Thomas from San Marcos, California made his game show debut.

Daniel, who discussed his love of road trips down the coast with his dad, played against opponents Amaryllis and Dina.

Despite strong gameplay from all three players, Daniel came out on top with a total of $31,950.

In addition to the prize earnings, he also won a luxury trip to Alaska to see the Northern Lights that’s worth over $11,000.

He moved onto the final round hoping to add even more money into his prize pot with the last puzzle.

Daniel went with the category “Living Things” and was given consonants to help him out.

However, out of the seven-letter puzzle, only the final two squares, an ‘E’ and an ’S’ were given out.

Daniel then made a series of letter guesses and when two ‘P’s’ showed up – a lightbulb appeared to go off.

“Guppies,” he exclaimed at the last second to which Ryan, 50, revealed was the correct answer.

The accurate guess added $40,000 to his prize pot – giving him a total take-home of $71,950 in addition to his Alaskan adventure.

Both in shock and elated he won, Daniel began to jump up and down to celebrate the win.

As Ryan celebrated with him and shouted “you won!”, Daniel gave the host a big hug and appeared to try to jump into his arms.

The move knocked Ryan completely to the ground, as the host can be seen on his back with his feel flailing in the air.

Once Daniel realized what had happened, he helped Ryan up and asked “are you okay?”

“I’m fine, no you’re good. I’m okay,” Ryan assured before switching the attention over to the prize card he was holding that revealed the additional $40,000.

Daniel’s family came running out to celebrate with him and as they were all hugging, the American Idol host can be seen grabbing his back and appearing uncomfortable after the fall.

When one of Daniel’s family members comes over to hug Ryan, the TV icon playfully hides behind the podium – joking about the fall he had just taken.

At another point, Ryan hunches over and appears in pain as he grabs his side and jokes to co-host Vanna White: “Vanna, you’ll have to take over now!”

    Wheel of Fortune’s big changes

The game show has undergone a major transformation now that Ryan Seacrest has taken over hosting duties for Pat Sajak.

-Ryan and Vanna White now host on a brand-new set, featuring a blue-toned stage, a green screen and art-deco wheel design.

-Ryan and Vanna make their big entrance from behind new sliding, brightly lit doors.

-Vanna turns – or now, touches – a modern, digital puzzle board controlled by lasers.

-Ryan brings a new hosting style, and has ditched Pat’s signature cue cards.

-The prizes have also been upgraded, and now include tickets to NFL games, and tickets to A-list concerts.

When Ryan asked how he pulled the move off at the end, Daniel quipped: “Which one? Winning or pushing you over?”

Once Ryan assured the contestant he was asking about solving the puzzle accurately, Daniel excitedly answered: “I don’t know, I was just looking at the letter board and I saw ‘P.’

“It just popped into my head. But again I’m so sorry,” he added as he rubbed Ryan’s arm.

Ryan was a good sport about it though, and repeatedly told Daniel: “It’s okay, don’t worry! I loved it!”

    ‘PROTECT RYAN AT ALL COSTS!’

Fans flocked online to express their worry for Ryan, with one saying: “We must protect Ryan Seacrest at all costs!!! Please be gentle with my man!”

“My advice to future #WheelofFortune contestants: Don’t knock Ryan down the floor during the bonus round,” another advised.

“The dude body slammed Ryan,” another viewer wrote.

“Please don’t hurt Ryan. We need him,” one more begged.

Ryan Seacrest Jokes ‘Wheel of Fortune’ Contestant Cheated After ‘Amazing’ Solve

Ryan Seacrest has got jokes on Wheel of Fortune!

'Wheel of Fortune' host Ryan Seacrest at the Disney 2024 upfront presentation held at North Javits Center on May 14, 2024 in New York City.

The freshly minted game show host found a recent Wheel of Fortune contestant’s win to be so impressive, that he dramatically searched her for a hidden earpiece feeding her the words after she solved a seemingly impossible puzzle.

In a clip from the show uploaded to the series’ official YouTube account, a contestant named Traci was given the phrase “T_e_ __ ___ ____” for her bonus round. After requesting C, D, M and O for her second set of letters, she was left with only, “T_e_ _o ___ __c_”.

With only 10 seconds on the clock, she suggested, “They go way back,” almost immediately, stunning the host. Seacrest circled her, checking her ears and the top of her head for a wire before celebrating her win.

“Congratulations!” he called out to her and her husband. “That was amazing!”

He revealed that her $50,000 prize brought her up to a “grand total of $78,650” before questioning, “How in the world did you solve that last one?”

“I just dug deep,” she said, laughing.

Viewers were equally stunned by the quick—and confident—solve.

“I couldn’t solve that one to save my life, but Traci got it like it was nothing,” one admitted. “Congratulations! Enjoy the moolah!”

“I didnt have a clue,” another agreed, calling it a “Fantastic solve!”

“AMAZING solve,” a third commenter applauded. “I was stunned. And I RSTLNE a lot of these bonus puzzles. I couldn’t get it with the extra letters, but Tracey just SAW IT. GOOD JOB.”

“So much confidence! I was actually lost on this puzzle… good on her,” another comment read.

Savannah Guthrie throws out Hoda Kotb’s ‘disgusing’ stuff from Today set

SAVANNAH Guthrie has wasted no time in throwing out Hoda Kotb’s “disgusting” stuff following her departure from Today.

Hoda, 60, bid an emotional farewell to her friends and the morning show on January 10 after 26 years with NBC.

But Savannah has now revealed how she and new co-host Craig Melvin made a grim discovery once she was out of the building.

In a hilarious interview, Hoda’s friend listed off all the gross things she left behind on the set – including “belly button lint”.

Savannah, 53, told Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show, “We gave her this beautiful goodbye and then we go in and sit on the set and there’s these trays.

“You might have one? It might have a mint or whatever it is on it. We realized all of the trays, they were all Hoda’s stuff.

“It was like, one contact and like, expired bean dip. And like, belly button lint and all this stuff.

“I was like, you know, Craig, none of this is mine. Not on her side, not on my side. So we just threw it.

“I sent her a video and was like, ‘Honey, we miss you but here’s what’s happening’.”

The video then aired of Savannah as she held the tray of Hoda’s “stuff” over the trash.

In the funny footage, she told her former co-star, “Oh hey, girl. Guess you didn’t want any of this s***? Don’t mind me.”

Savannah then brutally tipped the contents of the tray into the garbage, adding: “Love you!”

Hoda Kotb breaks down in tears & sobs ‘that’s not fair!’ after surprise tribute from co-hosts on last day ever at Today
Jimmy said he found the video “hilarious”, as Savannah continued, “Look at the tray. It had rusted barnacles on it. I mean, it’s disgusting.”

The video triggered a memory of Jimmy’s, where he once visited Hoda backstage and spotted her purse.

“It was stuffed with papers, like a binder or something. I was like my dad’s wallet with rubber bands round it,” he recalled.

Savannah also revealed a time she and Hoda were on the red carpet together, laughing, “We’re on the red carpet and she brings a zip lock. It will have like, a banana, a tampon. I’m like, girl. It is beyond.”

Jokes aside, Savannah, who appeared on The Tonight Show with Craig, admitted she still speaks to Hoda daily.

“I’m talking to Hoda more than ever,” she said. “I talk to her every single day.

“She actually got up earlier than me on Monday. Hoda wakes up at 3am on Saturday. But she’s doing great. We FaceTime with her but it’s funny, it’s a new era.”

    Fond farewell

Hoda announced her departure from Today after six years of co-anchoring the show in September.

Hoda said in a statement, “So I was doing the math, and I realized I have spent 26 years at NBC.

“I just turned 60, and it was such a monumental moment for me when I turned 60 years old… What does that decade mean?… And I realize it was time for me to turn the page at 60, and to try something new.”

Hoda continued, describing a moment when she celebrated her birthday with her children as “what the top of the wave feels like for me”.

She explained, “I thought, it can’t get better. And I decided that this is the right time to move on.”

Hoda noted the adoption of her children and said they “deserve a bigger piece of my time pie” but said the decision to leave was “the hardest thing in the world”.

On her final episode, Today anchors presented Hoda with a surprise video montage of her moments through the years.

    New beginnings

After telling fans she is launching a wellness company, The U.S. Sun exclusively revealed the name of Hoda’s new business and her plans for the brand.

On January 25, 2024, Hoda filed a business license for Joy With Hoda, LLC.

Days later on January 29, Hoda filed a trademark for the name.

The trademark will cover, “Wellness and health-related consulting services; providing information in the fields of health and wellness.

“Educational services, namely, conducting classes, seminars, conferences, workshops, retreats, in the field of women’s health and distribution of training material in connection therewith.

“Arranging and conducting of workshops and seminars in personal awareness.”

Fuming Jeopardy! fans blame President Trump for show delay as they claim he ‘f–ked up airing’

Jeopardy! fans had choice words for President Donald Trump after his inauguration affected the beloved game show’s schedule.

Like always, longtime Jeopardy! fans tuned in on Monday to see a new episode of the trivia contest, which airs Monday through Friday at 7 p.m. EST/4 p.m. PST. Several fans shared online that they were excited to see Jeopardy! champion Drew Goins compete for the win in what would’ve been tonight’s Champions Wildcard episode . Supporters were crushed when instead of a new Jeopardy! being aired, Trump’s inaugural festivities after being sworn-in as president Monday were premiering during the show’s time slot.

Countless watchers voiced their outrage on social media as they shared how they were disappointed they couldn’t watch their “fave” contestant Drew.

“Can’t watch on my local ABC affiliate due to the inauguration, which really sucks, cause Drew is my fav [sad face emoji],” one person wrote on Reddit. “I was already bummed about today for obvious reasons but now it feels personal.”

https://img.particlenews.com/image.php?url=2Iv73D_0yIiGv0K00Drew has become the “It” guy on Jeopardy! due to his sharp game strategy, entertaining stories, and fun fashion outfits.

Another Redditor ranted: “I just wanted my 30 f–kng minutes of escapism today and couldn’t even get that because of the inauguration.”

Even more raged on X, formerly Twitter, outright blaming Trump for Jeopardy! not airing when it was supposed to on Monday.

“Among all the other things, tonight Trump f–ked up Jeopardy airing. God dammit,” one slammed on X. A plethora of others just ranted, “Where the f–k is Jeopardy @ABC7NY,” as they insisted the network didn’t “cut in” to the show.

“Hey @ABC7NY, don’t cut into @Jeopardy with late-day inauguration crap. Your viewership would rather watch an intelligent quiz show,” an X user suggested.

Jeopardy! didn’t inform viewers that they potentially wouldn’t air a new episode on January 20 or even if it would be delayed. This is why unsuspecting viewers were shocked to find out when they tuned in that instead of a new Jeopardy! episode, they’d be getting news coverage of Trump’s inauguration day.

While some parts of the country got to see Monday’s episode of Jeopardy!, for most, Trump’s inaugural footage bled into Jeopardy!’s hour.

Jeopardy! abruptly stops airing as furious fans complain they ‘missed’ breakout star Drew Goins snagging runaway win

TODAY’S Jeopardy! episode didn’t air in many parts of the country and viewers are furious they were unable to see breakout star Drew Goins snag his latest runaway win.

Those who tuned in on Monday expecting to see Ken Jennings on the Alex Trebek stage were met with a much different picture as most markets were still airing coverage of the Presidential Inauguration.

Jeopardy! did not issue any warning that it may not be airing the January 20th game due to the inauguration – leading many to believe the episode would proceed as normal.

However, footage from Donald Trump’s inauguration continued to play in place of today’s game in most parts of the country.

The outrage over missing the episode was only increased when fan-favorite Drew delivered another impressive performance that some viewers won’t get to see.

One viewer wrote: “Can’t watch on my local ABC affiliate due to the inauguration, which really sucks, cause Drew is my fav. 🙁

“I was already bummed about today for obvious reasons but now it feels personal.”

“Here in Chicago we are preempted by the inauguration coverage. Talking heads keeping us from having 30 minutes of freedom from political craziness,” another said.

A third suggested: “Same. Total bummer. I really wish on national news pre-emption days that the Jeopardy Youtube channel would put up entire episodes.”

Drew, a journalist from Honolulu, Hawaii, has become a fan-favorite for his quick-witted game play, entertaining stories and fun fashion.

For today’s Champions Wildcard semifinals, he went up against Joey DeSena, a development engineer from Raleigh, North Carolina and Jen Feldman, a high school teacher from Brooklyn, New York.

Like his past games, Drew was off to the best start as he secured the most amount of correct answers, six, by the first break.

He had accumulated $4,200 by the commercial break, while Jen had $1,400.

Joey found and missed the first Daily Double – landing him with $0 by the break.

After the Jeopardy! Round was complete, Drew’s lead increased to $7,200.

Though Joey remained in third, he got himself on the board with $800 while Jen stayed in second with $2,400.

Host Ken, 50, then revealed the categories of the second round: “French Geography; 18Th Century Writing; Broadway; Psychology; Let’s Talk About Politics; Starts With ‘D.’”

Jen closed the gap of Drew’s lead when she found the second Daily Double – and accurately answered, adding $5,000 to her score.

However, Drew quickly made that up by finding the third Daily Double which gave him a bonus $4,000.

Overall, Drew racked up an impressive 29 correct responses from today’s game – having only buzzed into two incorrectly.

Jen had 10 accurate answers with 0 mistakes while Joey made 3 incorrect guesses but had 12 right responses.

    Jeopardy! Universe

Jeopardy! first aired in 1964 until 1975. Then the nighttime version began in 1974. Since then, many spinoffs of the game show have emerged. Here they all are:

Jeopardy! – (syndicated) 1974 to present, weekdays on ABC at 7 pm ET.

Tournament of Champions – 1984 to present, features the top champions who have appeared on the show since the last tournament.

Second Chance Tournament – 2022 to present features hand-selected non-winners from the season prior, where the prize is entry into Champions Wildcard.

Champions Wildcard – 2023 to present, features all one, two and three-day champions from the season prior worth entry into the Tournament of Champions.

Jeopardy! Invitational Tournament (syndication) – 2023 to present, features past greats invited by producers to vie for a slot in Masters.

Jeopardy! Masters (primetime) – 2023 to present, features the six highest-ranked Jeopardy! champions competing against each other.

Celebrity Jeopardy! (primetime) – 1992 to present, has celebrities compete against each other to raise money for charity.

Pop Culture Jeopardy (streaming) – 2024 to present, will feature teams of three tasked with pop culture trivia on Amazon Prime, hosted by Colin Jost, airdate TBD

Jeopardy! has done away with specialized tournaments like its College Tournaments, Kids Week, and Professor’s Tournament to gear towards a more sports-like model, with Masters being the top of the Jeopardy pyramid.

Other versions of Jeopardy! have fizzled out throughout the years as well, like Sports Jeopardy!.

Going into the final, Drew had $26,800 while Jen had $12,600 and Joey was close behind, having accumulated $9,200.

Only Joey was correct with the Final Jeopardy! and knowing he was too far behind to snag a win, used his opportunity to write a message for his opponent.

“What is the Nautalis? Go for it, Drew!!” Joey exclaimed in his answer.

The affection was mutual, as Drew – who bet $0 for the last round – wrote: “What is a mouse??? Thanks Jen and Joey! <3.”

For their final scores, Drew garnered $26,800 while Jen had $10,000 and Joey a solid $9,811.

Drew advances to the finals of the Champions Wildcard Tournament and is hoping to score a spot in the coveted Tournament of Champions.

The Price is Right’s Instagram account shared a video of a contestant playing the popular game Lucky $even.

The rules of the game involve a contestant being given seven one-dollar bills and having to predict the next digit for a car’s price.

Contestants are given the first number, which means they’ll have to guess the following digits.

After all numbers are guessed, the car’s actual price is revealed.

In the clip, contestant Erika guessed $26,475, the original price of which was $26,178.

As the new season is nearing, viewers demand the show remove the game as they claim the activity to be “tough” and “unlucky.”

Fans took to the comment section to share their thoughts.

“Lucky Seven or what I really like to call it UNLUCKY SEVEN needs to stop playing more often because it’s been so UNLUCKY for the contestants who have played it,” said one viewer.

“Tough game. You don’t see many winning this one,” wrote another.

“This game is always hard,” commented a third.

Price is Right fans suspect they’ve found ‘loophole’ to ‘unfair’ game and warn producers to act fast before new season
Season 53 will premiere sometime in the fall of this year.

    GAME SHOW LOOPHOLE?

While viewers called Lucky $even unfair, fans suspected they’d found a loophole for one of their most difficult games on the show.

Their game 3 Strikes is a baseball-themed round that allows contestants to draw eight baseballs without striking out.

If they succeed in guessing the car’s actual price, the contestant goes home with the prized vehicle.

    The Price is Right Hosts

The Price is Right first came on TV in 1972. Fans fell in love with the game show so much that it has been on for over 50 years. Throughout that time, the show has had a few different hosts. Find out who they are below.

Bob Barker – 1972 to June 2007 (also became executive producer in 1988)

Drew Carey – October 2007 to present

Dennis James – filled in for Bob in 1974 when he missed four episodes, also hosted the nighttime version

Craig Ferguson – 2014 April Fools Day Special

One fan shared a secret to winning that has left producers looking for a fix.

“This game has a flaw that can make the win rate sky rocket,” explained the viewer.

“The non-strike balls have numbers on them that are taped on.

“You just need to feel the ball for a number before lifting it out.”

While the process of winning seems to be pretty straightforward, fans believe it’s not that easy.

“Standards and Practices would never allow them to cheat like you said,” wrote one user.

“It’s also unnecessary because 3 Strikes is a hard game.”

On Monday, The Price is Right fans found the premiere date for the upcoming season of the primetime special.

“The Price is Right at Night returns September 23rd!” a Reddit user wrote, attaching a schedule to their post.

The show will air on Monday nights from 8 to 9pm.

The Price is Right at Night used to air on Wednesday nights on CBS.

However, the change to Mondays might cause problems with the game show.

Football starts in September and sometimes delays a lot of programs when the games go into overtime.

The game show is even airing a rerun from February 7, 2024, which is a Super Bowl Special.

Reddit users don’t understand why The Price is Right would change the day it airs.

“I don’t know why CBS is moving the night shows to Monday night? They are now competing head-to-head with NFL Monday Night Football,” one fan said.

Drew Carey has been the host of the primetime special since its inception.

    PAY THE PRICE

The Price is Right fans are going through withdrawal as there are currently no episodes on in the daytime.

The game show went on its summer hiatus on July 8, and it aired a Halloween rerun.

Fans were begging The Price is Right to air new episodes as they couldn’t watch reruns last week.

The Price is Right at Night was not on last week as The Republican National Convention took its place.

However, fans were blindsided because the show promoted a new episode for July 17.

Both versions of the game show will return in September.

Drew Carey quickly recovered from a flub during The Price Is Right that could’ve crushed a contestant’s hopes.

Carey, 66, is coming up on 17 years as host of the popular game show, which features pricing games and sometimes even unique contestants.

That includes a The Price Is Right contestant fans called out on social media for “bullying” and “disgusting” behavior when she appeared on another TV show.

Viewers have also seen Carey get involved in kicking a game when it wouldn’t work correctly for a contestant.

More recently, viewers saw a clip where a man participated in a game with a brand-new car on the line.

Carey’s sudden mistake during the reveal of the game results came with an apology to the contestant and a quick recovery.

Drew Carey made a key mistake during a pricing game

During the popular Dice Game, a contestant, Joseph, attempted to roll a die to determine each number in the price of the car he was playing to win. Rolling a one or six is ideal in the game because it requires no guessing. The number is correct, lower than a six, or higher than a one.

His first two rolls resulted in a three and a two. The contestant consulted with audience members and selected “higher” for the numbers in the car’s price slots.

His third roll was six, and Carey automatically said it had to be “lower than a six,” so it was a “winner.”

The final roll of the die resulted in a two, and again, the contestant said he’d go “higher” for the final number in the car’s price. From there, Carey began to ask for the reveal of each number.

“Let’s start out with this one higher than a six, please,” he incorrectly announced since it’s supposed to be lower.

“Oh, sorry, lower than a six,” he quickly said, adding, “Haven’t had my coffee.”

“Lower than a six is a four,” he announced after the reveal of the number.

Carey recovered after his mistake, correctly asking for the reveal of other numbers.

Three of the numbers were correct, so it came down to the final number in the price of the car. The contestant had rolled two and chose “higher” for that number.

“Surely this wouldn’t be a one after all that, Joseph,” Carey said to dial up the suspense.

Thankfully for Joseph, the final number was higher, and he won that brand-new car despite the earlier mixup from Carey!

Viewers previously called out another Dice Game winner

While some viewers love seeing the Dice Game as part of The Price Is Right, others feel contestants might easily win using a strategy or even that the game is “rigged.”

Monsters and Critics reported that fans called out a previous winner for seemingly having a trick for rolling the die to get one or six each time.

The “EPIC dice game sweep” video below shows that the contestant rolled six, six, one, and six.

“You got a car!” Carey announced, adding, “That was insane. That was amazing.”

However, commenters reacted with some bringing up his technique. One commenter mentioned that “he started every roll with the six facing the wall” and called it “a smart move.”

Others claimed he had “dice at home that he rolls” for practice or called it “obviously rigged” somehow.

Despite those claims, The Price Is Right keeps going, with a recent Emmy nomination for the game show and a nomination at the 11th Annual American Reality TV Awards.

Meanwhile, fans await the return of new episodes of The Price Is Right, as it’s been on a summer break with only repeats airing.

An official premiere date for daytime episodes is unknown, but The Price Is Right at Night will return with a new episode on Monday, September 23, at 8 p.m. Eastern Time.

‘Wheel of Fortune’ Viewers Have Major Complaint About Show

Some Wheel of Fortune viewers are growing frustrated with the show’s fast-paced editing, which they claim doesn’t give them enough time to focus on the puzzles and play along at home.

The complaint was first brought up by a user on the Wheel of Fortune Reddit forum, who created a thread titled “Switching away from the puzzle board.”

In the thread, the user wrote, “Does it drive anyone else crazy how often they switch away from the puzzle?? I don’t know a solution, but it makes it impossible to solve the puzzle with the amount they switch… Am I the only one?”

After Vanna White reveals the puzzle letters, the camera tends to switch back and forth between the puzzle board and host Ryan Seacrest and the contestants. The Reddit user argued that the puzzle should remain on screen longer for viewers at home to work it out.

Others agreed, with one commenter writing, “I’ve been complaining about this for years…show the damn puzzle longer!”

Another added, “100% I’ve been saying that too. Half the fun is playing along!”

“Yeah. It’s actually been like that a while. I’m not sure why they cut away so much,” said one user.

“I will use my dvr to pause sometimes. They don’t show the board even long enough for Vanna to flip some of the letters sometimes,” added another.

Another wrote, “I feel like it’s been especially bad this season. You are not the only one!!!”

“YES! This drives me crazy!” agreed one fan, while another simply added, “Yes I hate that!!!!”

“Player sometimes spins, guess a letter, and gets it wrong. Camera never shows the board. It makes me crazy. It’s on the director I guess?” said another.

Others offered suggestions to fix the problem, including keeping the puzzle board on screen in a Picture-In-Picture box.

“They should keep it up always, I hate when they switch over the wheel. Maybe PIP?” commented one user.

Another agreed, adding, “Wouldn’t mind if they constantly displayed the puzzle in a PIP insert on the screen (along w/the letter-board) no matter where the game edit is going.”

“It would be nice if they showed the board in the bottom corner when they cut away,” said another.

However, some thought the puzzles were shown long enough for fans at home to figure out, with one Reddit user saying, “Damn, how long do you need to stare at the puzzle?”

“You can see the puzzle board while the wheel is spinning and while the contestant calls a letter. If you can’t figure it out eventually, you aren’t going to,” said another.

In a recent behind-the-scenes video, Seacrest gave a shout-out to the show’s staff members, including the production team, camera operators, audience coordinator, and art department.
