“Fox & Friends” co-host Ainsley Earhardt opened up about her romance with network colleague Sean Hannity on Monday, praising her new fiance and revealing their living plans.

After mostly keeping their company relationship private, Ainsley began by announcing to co-hosts and viewers what her employer already had reported last month.

“Not only was I celebrating Christmas with my family and baby Jesus, but Sean Hannity and I were engaged,” she said on the conservative channel’s morning show.

She switched gears to how their union will work, given that Hannity relocated to Florida where he now hosts his prime-time show and Earhardt’s gig is in midtown Manhattan.

“I’m staying on the curvy couch,” she said of the “Fox & Friends’” signature furniture piece. “I’m going to continue to live in New York. My daughter loves her school, I love my community, and obviously I love my job. And Sean is down in Florida, and we don’t miss a weekend without each other, so we see each other. We make it work. It’s easy.”

As co-hosts Steve Doocy, Brian Kilmeade and Lawrence Jones shared in her joy, Earhardt praised Hannity, who often receives brickbats for his right-wing hot takes and zealous support of Donald Trump.

“I respect him so much. I look up to him,” she said. “We fell in love a few years ago and it’s been a wonderful ride.”

Earhardt said a common misconception is that Hannity yells off-camera as he sometimes does on his show. “He’s so fun and funny and nice and the most generous man I’ve ever met,” she said.

Earhardt said the proposal came as a surprise. Hannity told her they were going to a meeting but instead drove to their church, where he walked her to the altar and popped the question “on one knee,” she said.

Hannity was previously married to Jill Rhodes and they share two children. Earhardt has been married twice and has a child with her second husband, former Clemson University quarterback Will Proctor.

Two week after Ainsley Earhardt’s holiday engagement to Sean Hannity, the Fox & Friends star spilled details about her fiancé’s romantic proposal.

On the show’s Monday, January 6, episode, the 48-year-old opened up about how she spent the holidays, telling her co-hosts, “Not only was I celebrating Christmas with my family and baby Jesus, but Sean Hannity and I were engaged.”

Earhardt admitted that she was totally surprised by the proposal, which took place at the pair’s church in Florida. She also gushed over her 63-year-old husband-to-be, adding, “I respect him so much. I look up to him. We fell in love a few years ago, and it’s been a wonderful ride.” She continued, “He’s so fun and funny and nice and the most generous man I’ve ever met.”

The Fox News stars have been in a long-distance relationship for years and that won’t change now that they’re engaged. Earhardt confirmed that she’s staying in New York to host Fox & Friends, while Hannity will remain in Florida, where he hosts Hannity.

“My daughter loves her school,” the conservative talk show host explained, referring to the child she shares with ex-husband Will Proctor. “I love my community, and obviously I love my job. And Sean is down in Florida and we don’t miss a weekend without each other. So we see each other. We make it work. It’s easy.”

Earhardt and Proctor were married from 2012 to 2019. Prior to that, she was married to Kevin McKinney from 2005 until 2009. Meanwhile, Hannity has two children with his ex-wife, Jill Rhodes, whom he married in 1993 and divorced in 2019 after separating years earlier.

“We are overjoyed and so thankful to our families for all of their love and support during this wonderful time in our lives,” Earhardt and Hannity said in a joint statement on December 26. They also added that their children “couldn’t be happier” for them amid this exciting milestone.

A third chimed in, mentioning Travis Kelce: “Carrie Underwood is about to ‘Karma is the guy on the Chiefs’ on national television.”

The remarks stem from Swift’s iconic bedazzled body suit and furry purple coat during her Eras Tour, which fans feel Underwood’s look may have drawn from.

Swift’s fanbase, arguably one of the most vocal in today’s pop culture, is well-known for defending the singer.

Whether it’s chart battles or fashion trends, Swifties will rarely let anything slide.

Previously, the fanbase was up in arms about a social media post from country singer Zach Bryan.

The post on his since deleted X account declared that he prefers controversial rapper Kanye West over Taylor Swift.

Chappell Roan’s fans slam Saturday Night Live for baby hippo Moo Deng skit ‘mocking’ the pop star – five weeks before her musical guest appearance

Chappell Roan’s fans slammed Saturday Night Live for seemingly poking fun at her on the show this week.

Many social media users shared their disapproval of a skit, which showed Bowen Yang dressed up as Moo Deng and drawing comparisons to experiences of the singer, 26.

Moo Deng, an adorable pygmy hippopotamus from Thailand, has become a viral sensation in recent weeks.

During the season 50 premiere on September 28, Yang, 33, was in costume as the baby hippo and joined Colin Jost for the Weekend Update segment.

This comes after Roan cancelled two festival appearances to focus on her mental health and ahead of her upcoming debut on Saturday Night Live in five weeks.

Yang’s Moo Deng said during the skirt: ‘Stop, stop clapping! Hi Colin, is it OK if I say something? For the past 10 weeks, I’ve been going nonstop running around, eating lettuce, trying to bite the water from a hose and the response has been overwhelming.

‘But it has come to the point where I need to set some boundaries.

‘Reminder: Women owe you nothing. When I’m in my enclosure tripping over stuff, biting my trainer’s knee, I am at work. That is the project. Do not yell my name or expect a photo just because I’m your parasocial bestie or because you appreciate my talent.’

When Jost asked about Moo Deng’s talent, Yang responded: ‘Having a slippery body that bounces.’

Yang’s Moo Deng continued: ‘Colin, before me, the only hippos in media were either “hungry, hungry” or Jada Pinkett Smith in Madagascar.

‘But now, I’m your favorite hippo’s favorite hippo — and I’m thirsty, thirsty,’ he said, referencing Roan’s in-joke with her fans.

Yang’s comments were clearly a nod to Chappell Roan, who has called herself ‘your favorite artist’s favorite artist’ — which is also a reference to Sasha Colby of RuPaul’s Drag Race.

‘Trust me, I would not be in this position without my fans — my Moo Deng boo thangs. But the harassment has been intolerable. Oh my God, they’re throwing shellfish and bananas at me!’

‘It must be so stressful having the whole world watching you,’ Jost chimed in.

Yang agreed and said: ‘Honestly, sometimes I feel like I live my life in a cage, like an animal trapped in a zoo for people to look at.’

Jost quipped, ‘Well, that’s kind of what you are.’

Then, Jost pointed out the parallels between Yang’s Moo Deng’s speech and some of Roan’s recent statements.

He asked: ‘Your life sounds a lot like Chappell Roan’s lately. Do you know Chappell Roan?’

Moo Deng retorted: ‘I’m 10 weeks old, Colin, of course I know Chappell Roan. By the way, leave her alone. Let her take as much time as she needs for her mental health. It’s what society does — it puts young women on pedestals only to know them down with shellfish.’

This comes after Roan was scheduled to perform at the All Things Go music festival over the weekend but canceled one day before.

Roan recently announced she needed to take a break from performing and focus on her health.

Piers Morgan slams ‘disgusting’ SNL audience for cheering Luigi Mangione

Morgan slammed the applause for Luigi Mangione ‘shameful’

Piers Morgan has condemned Saturday Night Live’s studio audience for applauding and cheering when host Colin Jost referred to the suspected UnitedHealthcare CEO killer Luigi Mangione.

During the latest episode of NBC’s hit sketch comedy show, Jost was delivering his popular “Weekend Update” spin on the news when he brought up Mangione’s extradition to New York.

Before he had even begun the joke, the audience erupted into loud cheers and applause at the mention of Mangione’s name.

Jost, who looked stunned at the response, awkwardly replied: “Yeah… definitely ‘woo’. You’re wooing for justice, right?”

Continuing the joke, Jost quipped: “Luigi Mangione dropped his extradition fight and was flown from Pennsylvania to New York to face multiple charges. In related news, Bumble exploded,” he added, referring to the dating site.

Following the episode, a clip of the moment went viral on X/Twitter, with an account by the user name End Wokeness, writing: “SNL Weekend Update mentions CEO kiIIer Luigi Mangione and the crowd applauds & cheers.”

Morgan later retweeted the post, adding: “So disgusting… and Colin Jost just smirks away as if it’s all one big giggle. Shameful moment for SNL.”

Other right-wing figures have also taken issue with the moment, including President-elect Donald Trump’s homeland security advisor Stephen Miller, who, in a tweet, called it: “Revolting. Sickening. Vile.”

Business executive and author Jennifer Sey also hit out at SNL’s audience, calling them “the dumbest group of pathetic woke conformists known to man.”

“Here they cheer for a silver spoon/trust funder murdering a stranger with some deranged Robin Hood ‘I’m a hero’ story. Audience is moronic. And evil,” she posted.

This isn’t the first time Mangione has been mentioned on SNL. Last week, Sarah Sherman joked in a sketch: “Y’all psychos find him a sex symbol … He has women and gay guys hot and bothered.”

Mangione, 26, has been charged with stalking and murdering healthcare CEO Brian Thompson on December 4, which prosecutors described as an “act of terrorism.” He is also now facing federal charges, which would potentially allow prosecutors to pursue the death penalty should he ultimately be found guilty of murder since capital punishment has been outlawed in New York for decades.

The computer science graduate has quickly gained an online fan base among those angry about private health insurance in America, and due to his “hot” appearance with numerous social media users showing divisive appreciation for the murder suspect.

A spokesperson for the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections confirmed to The Independent that Mangione has received over 100 pieces of mail just over a week after he was taken into custody.

In addition, members of the public had already contributed more than $130,000 to fund his defense a week ago.

As of Thursday morning, he had received 54 emails, 87 pieces of mail and 163 deposits into his commissary account, an account that allows inmates to purchase items from behind bars. The spokesperson did not confirm how much money was in the account.

But, “The Brutalist” star notes, he hasn’t been invited back.

Despite what audiences might have heard — or speculated — Adrien Brody says he’s not banned from Saturday Night Live. At least not that he’s aware of.

In an infamous moment from the May 10, 2003, episode hosted by Brody, the actor wore a wig of dreadlocks and spoke in an exaggerated Jamaican accent as he introduced the night’s musical guest, Sean Paul. The reggae artist hails from Kingston, Jamaica, while Brody was born in New York City.

Brody’s “ya mon”-filled introduction strayed wildly from the legendary sketch show’s standard line of “Ladies and gentleman, [musical guest]” format, leading to rumors afterward that he’d been banned from the famously non-improvised live show. The Brutalist star, who won Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Motion Picture, Drama, at Sunday’s Golden Globes ceremony, told Vulture in a new interview that he was never issued a formal ban. “But I also have never been invited back on,” he added. “So I don’t know what to tell you.”

The Asteroid City star explained that the bit was indeed his idea, but that he’d first done it during dress rehearsal for the Lorne Michaels-created show and that they’d provided the costume. “I think Lorne wasn’t happy with me embellishing a bit, but they allowed me to,” Brody explained. “I thought that was a safe space to do that, weirdly.”

The actor, who was fresh off a Best Actor Oscar win for The Pianist at the time, told the outlet the bit was just one of many he’d tossed around during his hosting stint at the sketch show. “They were all literally agape from me pitching,” he recalled.

Brody is not the only A-lister to clarify that he hasn’t actually been banned by the iconic NBC show currently in its landmark 50th season.

Oscar nominee Samuel L. Jackson first claimed in March 2022 that he wasn’t welcome back at SNL after he’d dropped an F-bomb on a 2012 episode as part of one of Kenan Thompson’s hilarious “What Up With That?” sketches, blaming the cast member for not cutting him off in time. However, Entertainment Weekly confirmed that there was no official ban in place for the Pulp Fiction star, who then explained on a May 2022 episode of EW’s The Awardist podcast that Michaels himself had also dispelled the notion that he could never return to the series.

David Spade was shocked by current SNL cast being so lax with Lorne Michaels: ‘That floors me’

“Are you ever gonna let me back on the show?” Samuels recalled confronting the SNL boss during an encounter on an elevator in New York City, but said Michaels replied, “You’re not banned!”

Lack of ban aside, like Brody, Jackson has not returned to Studio 8H since, but keep your fingers crossed as Saturday Night Live has yet to announce its upcoming slate of hosts for the remainder of season 50.

Pop Culture Jeopardy! fans beg Colin Jost to change as they admit there’s ‘room for improvement’

Pop Culture Jeopardy! fans have some things to say about host Colin Jost. He is known for co-hosting alongside Michael Che on Saturday Night Live’s Weekend Update

Jeopardy! fans have not been a fan of the new installment’s host.

    Colin Jost

Pop Culture Jeopardy! made its Prime Video debut with three episodes on Wednesday, December 4. Many tune in every every Wednesday for new episodes to release. As many were excited for the new installment of the trivia show, others have been underwhelmed with host Colin Jost.

Colin is known for co-hosting Weekend Update on Saturday Night Live alongside Michael Che. The two have made headlines with their skits and so many believed he would bring that same energy to the Jeopardy! show. A user on Reddit asked for everyone’s “take” on the show and said: “I think Colin is a mediocre host and his humor doesn’t land half the time.”

Others weighed in, agreeing with the user who created the post. One person wrote: “I agree about Colin’s hosting. Sometimes, it feels like his jokes are at the contestants’ expense, and I don’t like that. My other hot take: I don’t want to hear anyone but Sam say ‘Bring it,’ and I don’t want to see anyone but James push all their chips in. I think it’s corny to repeat other players’ quirks.” Another person added: “i like colin jost but i think this is a job that was specifically made for joel mchale and im sad its not him.”

A third person wrote: “Agreed about Colin. I’m fine with the pace of Pop Culture J! being a little more relaxed than regular J! since it’s intended to be more fun and doesn’t have to meet the network time constraints. But Colin just talks and inputs commentary too too much imo to where it breaks up the flow of play and actually makes it less fun to watch. Really a bummer when a player is about to run a category but Colin interjects an overly long remark before the last clue and kills the momentum.”

The tournament-style game is broken up into four bracket-like rounds: knockouts, quarter finals, semi-finals, and final. The final three teams compete in the final round for a chance to win $300,000. A new gameplay element called Triple Play was introduced.

David Spade is Baffled by One Thing About Modern ‘SNL’: “That Floors Me’

David Spade and Dana Carvey as The Church Lady on SNL Saturday Night Live

Former Saturday Night Live cast member David Spade was shocked by how the current cast interacts with the legendary NBC sketch show’s creator and executive producer Lorne Michaels, as per The Hollywood Reporter. Spade commented on the new atmosphere around 30 Rock on the Fly on the Wall podcast he hosts with fellow former SNL cast member Dana Carvey.

Spade and Carvey’s time on SNL overlapped by three years, with Carvey’s tenure running from 1986 to 1993 and Spade was on the show from 1990 to 1996. And apparently, Lorne Michaels wasn’t quite as cuddly with the cast members in the ‘90s as he is today.

On the podcast, Spade shared an experience he had recently when he returned to the show to play Hunter Biden.

“Lorne was giving notes when I did Hunter Biden. We’re all sitting there and Lorne’s got a microphone and he’s like, ‘Cold open.’ He starts reading and then he goes, ‘Sarah’ — because she was [playing] Matt Gaetz — ‘maybe you gotta face … you’re not in the light enough. Can you face more towards the middle?’ She goes, ‘I’ll try.’ I’m like, ‘How about yes, sir?’”

Spade was referring to SNL repertory player Sarah Sherman. He also recalled an interaction he had with Sherman that “floors” him. Sheman told Spade that she texted Michaels and asked why a skit of hers was cut.

“I’m like, you text Lorne? That floors me,” Spade said.

“As a cast member? During the show?” Carvey asked.

Lorne Michaels is a Human Being Capable of Change

While Spade and Carvey’s bewilderment is understandable and slightly in jest, it’s not surprising that Lorne Michaels, now 79, has changed as a human being over the past 30 years. Michaels created Saturday Night Live, which premiered as NBC’s Saturday Night on October 11, 1975, with host George Carlin and the show’s legendary original cast: Dan Akroyd, Gilda Radner, John Belushi, Garrett Morris, Jane Curtin, and Laraine Newman. A recent film, Saturday Night, traces the show’s first outing.

Michaels has always been an executive producer of SNL. However, he relinquished creative control in 1980, but returned in 1985 as showrunner. So there is some precedent of Michaels releasing his grip on the sketch show.

More recently, cast member Bowen Yang, speaking on Hot Ones, told the story of how he realized that Lorne wasn’t someone to be feared.

“Aidy Bryant was the one who told me, ‘You can be, like, friends with him now.’ I think Lorne at one point was hanging out with Aidy and was kind of chuckling about it like, ‘I think Bowen sees me as a mountain to climb, and I don’t want him to think that anymore.’ And that kind of gave me the encouragement to just go up to him and be like, ‘Oh, we can relate to each other on a human-to-human level,’ which I never thought would happen with him.”

Saturday Night Live is set to resume its 50th season following the holiday break this weekend on January 11.

Ryan Seacrest is taking a trip down memory lane—and for a very special occasion.

In case you missed it, the TV personality and Emmy nominee, 49, teamed up with his baby sister, Meredith Seacrest Leach, to write their first children’s book, The Make-Believers. And to celebrate the book’s upcoming launch, Ryan took to Instagram and gave fans a rare glimpse into his childhood. He posted a slideshow and wrote, “These make-believers (circa 1989) have written a picture book…yes, that’s me and my sister, Meredith—pretending to be Dick Clark and his musical guest on Rockin’ Eve. Scroll for a sneak peek of our book!”

On the first slide, Ryan and his sister pose together in a fun recreation of the Rockin’ New Year’s Eve special. The siblings are seen standing on a homemade podium, which is set in front of some green-and-white curtains. There’s also a festive sign that reads “Happy New Year,” and both are in full costume, with Meredith decked out in all-white and Ryan donning a blue plaid shirt with brown pants and a white hat.

One fan commented, “Such a cool throwback! Dreams come true.” Another added, “Making things happen. Now make her dreams come true and have her as a guest on Rockin’ New Year’s Eve! Can’t wait to read this with my girls.”

The second and third slides include a sneak peek of the pair’s debut picture book, which features illustrations by Bonnie Lui and explores the power of a child’s imagination. One page, which shows a young girl painting, reads, “Once you begin to see yourself as a make-believer, there are no limits to how you can dream.” And the second, which includes images of kid astronauts, reads, “You’re ready to go, go, go!”

The throwback post comes just two weeks after Ryan shared his first update about the book in honor of National Book Lovers Day. The host shared a snap of himself, his sister and his niece, Flora, holding a copy of the picture book—and it turns out Flora is already a big fan.

Ryan wrote, “Growing up, my sister Meredith and I constantly used our imaginations to dream big and travel far. Fast forward a few decades, we’ve written a picture book about using imagination to propel you into the future of your dreams. Check out The Make-Believers, on sale this October! It’s Flora approved.”

The Make-Believers is set to release on October 8, 2024, so make sure to mark your calendars.
