The Price is Right player rolls around on the floor yelling ‘what?’ after mom steps in to help her win incredible prize

A CONTESTANT on The Price is Right has shocked fans after she rolled around on the floor in excitement upon winning a massive prize.

The moment occurred in a recent episode of the game show during the Showcase Showdown, where two players compete for a showcase.

In the segment, the opponents are challenged to bid as close to the showcase’s value as possible without going over.

If the contestant’s bid is within a certain amount of the showcase’s retail price, they could win both showcases, which was the case for a young player named Alexandra.

The showcase included a massage chair, a hot tub, and a tropical getaway to the Seychelles.

After receiving help from her mother in the audience, Alexandra guessed the retail price was $22,500.

She nervously stood behind the podium, hands in prayer, as host Drew Carey, 66, revealed the correct retail price was $22,664.

    WILD REACTION

The crowd cheered for Alexandra, who appeared in disbelief as she repeatedly asked Drew if she won.

Drew revealed Alexandra was a double showcase winner, given she had racked up over $250,000.

Alexandra’s mother then rushed to the stage and embraced her daughter, causing the pair to fall to the floor.

They appeared unfazed by the blunder and rolled around on the ground, still hugging each other.

Price is Right contestant rolls her eyes at host Drew Carey for his on-air mistake as he admits ‘I blanked!’
“The win literally knocked them on the ground!” the game show joked in a post on its official Instagram page, which featured a clip of the moment.

“Love the momma bear hug ending up in a fall. Cherry on top for such a great ending,” one person commented.

“Momma was READY for this moment!!” said another.

“How cute!!! Her momma ran up and hugged her so hard that fell! Lol? Adorable !!!” gushed a third.

    The Price is Right Hosts

The Price is Right first came on TV in 1972. Fans fell in love with the game show so much that it has been on for over 50 years. Throughout that time, the show has had a few different hosts. Find out who they are below.

Bob Barker – 1972 to June 2007 (also became executive producer in 1988)

Drew Carey – October 2007 to present

Dennis James – filled in for Bob in 1974 when he missed four episodes, also hosted the nighttime version

Craig Ferguson – 2014 April Fools Day Special

Fans of The Price is Right regularly see wild behavior from the contestants, as their enthusiasm on the show is encouraged.

The CBS show originated with the late Bob Barker as host for over three decades before Drew replaced him in 2007.

Last month, Drew became the longest-serving host of a game show currently airing after Wheel of Fortune host Pat Sajak retired.

‘I CAN’T IMAGINE GIVING IT UP’

The Drew Carey Show alum discussed the milestone in an interview with TV Insider.

“I just show up and punch the clock and hope I have a job every day,” the actor said.

“I do have a goal: I want to keep going until I die. This is my 18th season. I’ve got to get the 35 and 41 so I can catch Bob Barker and Pat Sajak,” Drew revealed.

“The longest I’d been on TV was The Drew Carey Show, nine years. Once I hit 10 years here, I was like, ‘Wow, that’s the longest I’ve ever had a job in my life,’” the comic continued.

“It’s such just a great part of my day, my year, my life. I can’t imagine giving it up.

“I don’t like CBS to know that, but it’s going to be a few years ’til my next contract negotiation. So maybe forget I said this.

“I can quit anytime I want!” he added.

Price is Right game breaks on air as Drew Carey is forced to kick machine – but did malfunction cost contestant big win?

THE Price is Right fans recently revisited one of the show’s most memorable moments as the countdown to new episodes continues.

The long-running CBS series is currently on hiatus before The Price is Right returns next month.

On Wednesday, the show’s official Instagram account shared a clip from a past episode that became famous after host Drew Carey was forced to kick the Flip or Flop machine.

The throwback video begins with Drew, 66, explaining the game’s rules to a contestant on the brink of victory.

“You can flip the first two numbers… or you can flop the last two numbers,” Drew told her.

“Or you can flip and flop,” he added. “Flip flop or flip flop. Good luck!”

After the contestant locked in her guess at $9,782, she tried pressing the buzzer to reveal whether her price was right.

The reveal was ultimately anti-climactic, as Drew and the contestant realized the button was broken.

At one point, the American comedian, who has hosted The Price is Right since 2007, even kicked the machine – leaving fans at home in splits.

Reacting to the Instagram video, one user commented, “Not Drew kicking it! [laughing emoji]”

Another said there was “nothing like attending” a live taping of The Price is Right, the longest running game show on American TV.

Price Is Right fans call out show for ‘promoting’ Big Brother ‘bully’ Angela Murray as they reveal her past cameo
“It looks like the game machine almost had a flop [laughing emoji],” a third comment read.

A fourth person praised Drew’s “comical timing,” while a fifth fan said he had “become such a fit at hosting” the show.

Finally, Drew was able to press the button, and the studio erupted in cheers as it was revealed that the contestant had accurately guessed the price of the object.

“At least it worked out in the end,” the caption of the Instagram video read.

Earlier this week, fans urged the show’s producers to remove one of its most popular games ahead of the upcoming season.

On Monday, The Price is Right shared a clip demonstrating how the game Lucky Seven is played, as contestants tried to guess the seven-figure price of a car to win it.

At the start of the game, each player is given seven one-dollar bills, one for each digit of the price.

For each incorrect number guessed, the player must give one dollar back to Drew.

To win, the contestant must have $1 left after all the digits are revealed.

Reacting to the clip, Instagram users called for the game to be axed because it was too “hard” and almost impossible to win.

“I’ve been watching the show for 50 plus years and it’s very rare for someone to win on Lucky 7 that’s a hard game but good for her that must mean there’s going to be a show on tonight,” one person wrote.

Earlier this month, The U.S. Sun reported that The Price is Right viewers are disappointed by the show’s lack of innovation in recent years.

A high-ranking broadcast TV insider said Drew’s “shockingly traditional” approach to hosting the show, which has aired over 9,000 episodes, makes it seem like “throwback TV.”

“I do think Drew is living in the past a bit by holding onto this gig for so many years, but he loves the format and has since he was a kid,” the source claimed to The U.S. Sun.

On Tuesday, the show’s official Instagram page posted a clip from the season showing contestant Keith playing the popular Vend-O-Price game.

Host Drew Carey guided Keith through the game as he determined which shelf carried the most expensive food items.

Keith secured a victory in the end after guessing the correct price for bags of peanuts.

He jumped for joy as Drew congratulated him on his big win.

Fans immediately raced to the comments to share their excitement about the upcoming season.

    NEW SEASON CHANGES

Ahead of the premiere, CBS released more details about what to expect from the season – which will also include the show’s 10,000th episode to air in February 2025.

There will also be specially-themed holiday episodes and a “redemption episode,” in which former contestants compete for another chance at major prizes.

Additionally, the season will commemorate James O’Halloran’s 10th anniversary on the show.

The Aussie native is known for being the second male model on the show, joining in December 2014 after winning the Male Model Search.

Last month, the Price is Right announced a 60-venue tour, including many East Coast stops, that began on August 30.

The Price Is Right Live coming to New York and more in September – but southern state fans are ‘bummed’ there’s no shows
However, some fans expressed their disappointment that there were no stops near their hometowns.

Fans also recently complained about the schedule change for next season after it was revealed that nighttime episodes would be moved from Wednesdays to Mondays.

The switch raised concerns that Monday Night Football would affect future episodes due to frequent delays and overtime.

The Price is Right again faced backlash when the show didn’t acknowledge the one-year anniversary of its former host Bob Barker’s death on its social media accounts.

Bob died on August 26, 2023, at 99 years old.

He hosted the show for 35 years before retiring in 2008 and passing his microphone to Drew.

Fans slammed the show for the misstep, with many saying they still “couldn’t believe” the legendary host was gone.

Last month, The U.S. Sun exclusively spoke to a Price is Right mega-fan about his thoughts on Drew taking over for Bob as host.

Ted Slauson—who competed on the show and is a 37-time audience member—revealed he was shocked that the comedian got the gig, especially since he never formally auditioned.

The San Antonio native also claimed Drew would often “push back” on producers, completely changing the show’s dynamic.

The Price Is Right Faces Backlash Over Silence on Bob Barker’s Death Anniversary

On August 26, 2024, fans of The Price Is Right marked a solemn milestone: one year since the passing of legendary host Bob Barker.

Bob Barker, 'The Price Is Right' star and animal activist, dies at 99

But while tributes poured in across social media from viewers and celebrities alike, the show itself remained silent. No post. No mention. No acknowledgment. And fans were not happy.

Bob Barker, who hosted The Price Is Right from 1972 to 2007, was more than just a game show host—he was a television icon.

Known for his warm demeanor, signature sign-off urging viewers to “help control the pet population,” and decades of service to daytime TV, Barker left an indelible mark on American pop culture. His death at age 99 in 2023 was met with widespread mourning and heartfelt tributes from across the entertainment industry.

But when the one-year anniversary arrived, CBS and The Price Is Right’s official social media accounts made no mention of the occasion.

Fans quickly noticed—and they weren’t quiet about it. Comments flooded past posts, demanding answers and expressing disappointment. “How could you forget Bob Barker?” one user wrote. “He built this show. You owe him more than silence.”

Some pointed out that Barker had received a tribute episode shortly after his passing, hosted by Drew Carey. B

ut others argued that a simple acknowledgment on such a meaningful date would have gone a long way. “A tweet. A photo. Anything,” another fan posted. “He deserved better.”

The backlash highlights the emotional connection viewers still feel toward Barker, even years after his retirement.

For many, The Price Is Right isn’t just a game show—it’s a tradition, and Bob Barker was its heart.

As of now, CBS has not responded to the criticism. But one thing is clear: Bob Barker’s legacy lives on, even if the show he helped define missed the moment to honor him.

In case you missed it, Reba McEntire casually confirmed her engagement at the 2025 Emmy Awards.

The country legend, 70, revealed she’s engaged to Happy’s Place co-star Rex Linn, 68, in an interview with E! News on the red carpet. McEntire and Linn have been dating for five years, but they first crossed paths over 30 years ago while filming 1991’s The Gambler Returns: The Luck of the Draw.

“We’ve kept in contact with each other over the years, and we both know the same people, so it was just like good friends getting back together having dinner in January,” she told Andy Cohen in a November 2020 episode of Watch What Happens Live.

In May 2025, the multi-hyphenate told Fox News Digital that the couple “get along in every aspect,” which helps make their relationship work. “He’s a better cook than I am, so I like that, for sure. We love Longhorns, we love the cowboy way of life, cowgirl way of life, and we both got into the entertainment industry…it’s just the perfect union, absolutely.”

Prior to her engagement to Linn, McEntire was married to rancher Charlie Battles from 1976 to 1987 and music manager Narvel Blackstock from 1989 to 2015. She and Blackstock welcomed one child, son Shelby, in 1990.

McEntire hinted at one day walking down the aisle with her Young Sheldon co-star in an October 2023 appearance on Watch What Happens Live. “My ‘sugar tot,’” she said, using her nickname for Linn. “That would be up to him. I’ve been married twice. He’s never been married, so if he wants to, that’s totally up to him.”

With wedding bells confirmed to be in the future for the “Fancy” singer, here’s everything to know about Reba’s fiancé, Rex Linn.

    He’s an actor.

Like his bride-to-be, Linn is a seasoned film and television actor—but he didn’t always feel called to the screen. The former banker was in his early 30s when he headed for Tinseltown, sensing that it was now or never amidst a series of life changes.

“In 1989, I had sold my house and broken up with my girlfriend, and my dad said, ‘If you’re going to pursue your dream of acting, now would be the time to do it,’” he shared in an interview with his alma mater, Oklahoma State University.  “I had been a banker. I was in the oil business. Then, I had a hunting guide service. For that decade, I had been talking about acting….So, I packed all my stuff in a U-Haul and headed west on I-40.”

It proved a fateful choice. Linn has since landed roles on shows like CSI: Miami, the lauded Breaking Bad spin-off Better Call Saul, and Young Sheldon (where he reconnected with McEntire when she guest-starred). He’s also appeared in various films, including 1993’s Cliffhanger and 2018’s An Acceptable Loss. Of course, Reba fans are most likely to know him from his role as Emmett in NBC sitcom Happy’s Place, starring alongside McEntire.

He and McEntire have been friends for over 30 years.

It’s a match three decades in the making. McEntire and Linn first crossed paths in 1991 on the set ofThe Gambler Returns: The Luck of the Draw. The television film is the fourth in a series starring late music icon Kenny Rogers.

“I was one of the actors, [Linn] was one of the actors,” McEntire recalled in an April 2023 appearance on TODAY with Hoda and Jenna of how they met. She went on to explain that while Linn’s part wasn’t major, it was memorable. “He gets a big kick out of it…his part was riding into a saloon on a 4-year-old colt and going, ‘Yeehaw!’ and riding out.”

While they wouldn’t start dating until 2020, the two “stayed in communication all of those years” after their initial meeting—and the rest is history.

McEntire had recently reconnected with Linn when she guest-starred on Young Sheldon, in which he had a recurring role as Principal Tom Peterson. “And then in 2020 when Mama got sick, he called me,” she explained on TODAY with Hoda and Jenna, adding later in the interview that “starting in March of 2020, we just kept talking and visiting and finally got together, [to] see each other in June. And we’ve been pretty much inseparable ever since.”

McEntire’s mother, Jacqueline, died of cancer in March 2020, the singer shared to her social media accounts. “She had a wonderful, full, healthy life and was absolutely ready to go,” McEntire wrote in the caption of her tribute post. “The cancer might think it won the battle but we’re giving God all the credit on selecting the time for her to go home to Him. She was ready to see our Daddy, her mama and daddy and all her family and friends.”

Forget Bennifer and Traylor—McEntire and Linn have the new cutest couple nickname in Hollywood. Since 2020, they’ve been calling each other “The Tots, Sugar and Tater” based on McEntire’s favorite food, she revealed on her Living & Learning podcast in October 2021.

The inside joke began back in January 2020, when the couple had one of their first dates. “On the menu was Tater Tots and I just went nuts because I love Tater Tots. And so, Rex is famous for giving people nicknames and he said, ‘That’s yours,’” she recalled. Linn, also appearing on the podcast episode, described it as the perfect moment. “You ordered Tater Tots, you delved into them like a great white shark with ketchup. And I just thought, that’s it. It’s ‘Tater Tot.’” His nickname, ‘Sugar Tot,’ came from McEntire’s sister Susie.

Linn shared a snapshot of the two to his Instagram in January 2020 on what may have been the nickname-giving date, writing in the caption, “Had a fantastic dinner with this Oklahoma girl. Tater Tots and Ketchup included.” Now, the couple enjoy the meal every Valentine’s Day at the fast-food chain Sonic, McEntire told TODAY in 2023.

Since 2024, the actors have co-starred on NBC sitcom Happy’s Place, and their castmates are as in love with their romance as they are with one another.

“It’s adorable,” Melissa Peterman told People in a 2024 interview. “And oftentimes … we’re taking a five-minute break or we’re having breakfast or lunch and you look over and we have a bar set — it takes place at Happy’s Place and you look over and [McEntire and Linn,] they’re in a booth at the bar. And it looks like they’re legitimately on a date at a restaurant just sitting together being so adorably cute.” She added, “I will also add they’re really professional about it too. I mean, it’s, it’s very cute,” she continued.

A smitten Linn chimed in, “Well, we’re running lines constantly but every once in a while I’ll sneak by for a quick kiss, just a peck on the cheek, and keep on moving. It’s fun.”

The Only Major Actors Still Alive From Three’s Company

    Three's CompanyABC

The premise of the 1977 sitcom “Three’s Company” — adapted from the 1973 British series “Man About the House” — would likely never fly in 2024. Roommates Janet (Joyce DeWitt) and Chrissy (Suzanne Somers) require a third roommate to pay rent in their expensive Santa Monica apartment. They stumble across Jack Tripper (John Ritter), an aspiring culinary student whom they get along with. It so happens, though, that the building’s landlord, Mr. Roper (Normal Fell), is ultra-conservative and refuses to let unmarried men and women share his apartments. To get around this contrived contingency, Janet and Chrissy tell Mr. Roper that Jack is gay. This satisfies the landlord but opens Jack up to homophobic jibes.

Fell eventually left the series and was replaced by the high-strung Mr. Furley, played by Don Knotts. Mr. Furley, it seems, required the charade to continue. Somers also left the show in its last two seasons and was replaced by actor Jenilee Harrison playing Chrissy’s sister Cindy.

“Three’s Company” was a runaway hit, ultimately spanning eight seasons and 172 episodes. It lived in aggressive syndication and children of the ’80s likely remember encountering reruns frequently. It helped that its theme song was so bloody catchy. “Three’s Company” eventually spawned multiple spinoffs, including “The Ropers,” starring Norman Fell and Audra Lindley, and “Three’s a Crowd,” about what happened to Jack after the events of the original show.

Sadly, some of the best-known actors from “Three’s Company” are no longer with us, but much of the cast is still working to this day. Let’s catch up with them.

    Joyce DeWitt (Janet Wood)

    Three's Company JanetABC

Joyce DeWitt became immensely famous from starring in “Three’s Company,” and is the only actor other than John Ritter to appear in almost every episode of the series (she was in 170 of the 172 episodes). DeWitt had only appeared in the 1975 TV series “Baretta” and in the 1976 TV movie “Most Wanted” before her sitcom stint, and immediately became a household name because of it. During its run, DeWitt also landed multiple other acting gigs, including appearances on “Supertrain,” “The Love Boat,” and “Finder of Lost Loves.”

After “Three’s Company,” however, DeWitt semi-retired from acting, happy to take a break. It also seemed that she and Somers began to resent each other on the series thanks to a hotly contested salary dispute. Somers and DeWitt parted on bad terms and weren’t seen on screen together for decades. They wouldn’t reconcile until a 2012 episode of the talk show “Suzanne Somers: Breaking Through,” where Somers apologized. The two talked about working with Ritter, who had passed away in 2003 and left on good terms. They remained on good terms until Somers died in 2023.

From 1984 to 1991, DeWitt lived far out of the public eye, only returning to acting for a stage production of “Noises Off!” Since 1995, DeWitt has made occasional appearances on a few notable TV shows, often playing herself. Her most recent role was in the 2022 indie film “Ask Me to Dance.” DeWitt, now 74, will likely continue to work.

    Richard Kline (Larry Dallas)

    Three's Company LarryABC

On “Three’s Company,” Richard Kline played Larry, Jack’s close friend. Larry tolerated a lot of abuse from Jack but was resilient and lascivious in his own right. Larry was a slimy used car salesman — but, y’know, charming — who lied about his identity to pick up women, often saying that he was a photographer for Playboy Magazine, or merely that he was rich. Larry’s presence added to the overall sexual tension that permeated the show.

Kline was only a semi-regular on the series for its first three seasons, becoming a regular in its fourth. All told, he appeared in 110 episodes of the show. “Three’s Company” was only one part of a vast acting career for Kline, however. He had already appeared on shows like “Eight is Enough,” “Maude,” and “The Mary Tyler Moore Show” before “Three’s Company,” and would go on to invade television in perpetuity, appearing on the “Company” spin-offs, “Murder, She Wrote,” “Hill Street Blues,” “Silver Spoons,” “Matlock,” “St. Elsewhere,” “L.A. Law,” “Columbo,” “Married… with Children,” and dozens of others. Kline was one of those reliable character actors who supported any show he was on. Hollywood is built on the backs of actors like him.

As a lead actor, Kline appeared in the 2000 series “Noah Knows Best” and “Inside Schwartz.” He most recently appeared in the 2023 indie film “180 Days.”

    Jenilee Harrison (Cindy Snow)

    Three's Company CindyABC

As mentioned above, Suzanne Somers was engaged in a salary dispute on “Three’s Company” and left the show at the end of its fourth season. In order to retain the show’s character dynamic, however, Somers was replaced by a very Chrissy-like character in the form of Chrissy’s cousin Cindy, played by former Playboy Playmate Jenilee Harrison. Although Cindy was a lot like Chrissy in terms of her feckless innocence, she was also a lot more energetic and eager to help her friends. Some fans of the show felt she was more like a “kid sister” to Janet and Jack than Chrissy was. Cindy was only on the series for its fifth and sixth seasons when she was replaced by a character named Terri (Priscilla Barnes). Terri remained through to the end of the series.

Harrison started her career as a cheerleader for the Los Angeles Rams before breaking into acting. She, like her co-stars, cycled through many of the era’s more popular shows (including “CHiPs,” “The Love Boat,” and “Fantasy Island”) before landing the “Three’s Company” gig. After her tenure, Harrison would land one of the main roles on “Dallas,” appearing in 69 episodes. She also appeared in the films “Tank,” “Curse III: Blood Sacrifice,” and “Illicit Behavior.”

Harrison seems to have retired from acting in 2002, with her last credit being the TV movie “The Power.” One can assume she’s happy at home.

    Priscilla Barnes (Terri Alden)

    Three's Company Terri ABC

Priscilla Barnes played Terri Alden in the final two seasons of “Three’s Company” and she was clearly meant to serve as a Chrissy/Cindy stand-in. In order to buck the trends, however, Terri wasn’t just another “shallow blonde” character, working as a nurse during the day and devoting herself to art at night.

Priscilla Barnes has an extensive filmography which began in the late 1970s with films like “Tintorera” and Telly Savalas’ “Beyond Reason,” as well as TV shows like “The Rockford Files,” “Starsky & Hutch,” and “Kojak.” She appeared in 72 episodes of “Three’s Company” before landing the high-profile Bond Girl gig in “Licence to Kill.” She also appeared in “Stepfather III,” “Erotique,” and “Mallrats” (as an insightful three-nippled fortune teller), in addition to Sean Penn’s “The Crossing Guard” and Lawrence Kasdan’s “Mumford.” She additionally showed up in Rob Zombie’s “The Devil’s Rejects,” the TV shows “Time Trax” and “She Spies,” and just about every exciting genre show from the 1990s. More recently, she had a recurring role on “Jane the Virgin,” appearing in 41 episodes.

Barnes seems to have since taken a step back from acting, not having accrued any credits since 2019.

Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani fans call out ‘awkward’ run-in with his ex Miranda Lambert as they all perform at ACMs

Just moments after Miranda debuted her new song Wranglers at the ACM awards, Blake, who is Miranda’s ex-husband, wrangled the spotlight as he performed his new duet Purple Irises with current wife, Gwen Stefani.

The timing did not go unnoticed by fans on X, formerly Twitter.

Gwen dazzled in a pair of sparkling purple pants and purple ribboned top, in an obvious nod to her song.

Blake kept his cool in an all black jacket and shirt, with jeans.

“Blake Shelton singing a love song duet with Gwen Stefani in front of his ex wife… Bold,” one person observed.

“They performed minutes apart, so they definitely ran into each other backstage. that must have been so awkward and uncomfortable,” another noted.

“Blake Shelton hasn’t been the same since screwing up what he had with Miranda Lambert,” one person shared.

While another countered, “Blake Shelton going from Miranda lambert to Gwen Stefani might possibly be the biggest upgrade of all time.”

    BLAKE AND MIRANDA

Blake was still married to his first wife when he recorded a duet with fellow country star Miranda Lambert.

She was engaged at the time to country singer Jeff Allen McManus, but the chemistry between her and Blake was instant.

Gwen Stefani & Blake Shelton look ‘so happy’ as couple performs intimate song after rumors their marriage was in trouble
“I knew he was married,” Miranda confessed in 2011. “I knew better. Like, this is off-limits.

“I didn’t know what to do with it. It was, like, my first duet with some other country star, and I didn’t know if it was just initial butterflies because of that. I don’t know what it was. It was just this draw to each other.”

“I’ve never had that kind of experience with anybody,” Blake revealed during an episode of VH1’s Behind the Music. “I was a married guy, you know? Standing up there and singing with somebody and going, ‘Man, this shouldn’t be happening.’”

But it did, and the two married in May 2011 in Boerne, Texas.

Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani Timeline

Blake, 47, and Gwen, 52, began dating in 2015 after meeting on the set of the NBC reality show The Voice.

Both were fresh out of lengthy failed marriages.

After a five-year relationship, the celebrity couple got engaged in 2020.

The Hollaback Girl singer announced their engagement on social media as she flashed her blinged-out hand while sharing a kiss with her hubby.

Blake also shared the same picture on his Instagram, writing, “Hey Gwen, thanks for saving my 2020… And the rest of my life.. I love you. I heard a YES!”

Less than a year later, on July 3, 2021, the couple tied the knot in an intimate ceremony at Blake’s Oklahoma ranch.

The two seem to have now found their forever loves, after leaving a trail of drama from past relationships behind them.

However, it was a rocky relationship, with each facing accusations of infidelity.

By 2015, the two divorced, and Blake moved on with Gwen.

    USING HER VOICE

Country legend Reba McEntire, hosted the ACM’s, and she’s about to get to spend a lot more time with Gwen when they reunite on The Voice.

Reba, who joined the cast last season following Blake’s departure, announced earlier this week that she is returning to her red chair.

She also revealed that Blake’s wife, Voice veteran Gwen is coming back as well, along with rapper Snoop Dogg, 52.

The new lineup of coaches for the reality show was shared at NBCUniversal’s Upfront presentation in New York City.

Meanwhile, a source exclusively told The U.S. Sun last month that Blake is considering returning to the show following his exit after 23 seasons.

The God’s Country singer had been a coach on The Voice since its inception in 2011 before deciding to step away.

“Blake may have said his time on the show is over, but he has not closed the door for good,” the insider revealed.

“He would come back to the show if Gwen was invited too, and then they could enjoy working together again.”

Gwen and Blake, who got married in July 2021, met as coaches on The Voice in 2014.

John Legend breaks his silence on wife Chrissy Teigen’s ‘bullying’ scandal

The couple have been married since 2013

John Legend’s wife Chrissy Teigen has been keeping a low profile in recent weeks following allegations of online bullying in the past.

Earlier this week, the model issued a statement apologising for her actions, telling fans: “Not a day, not a single moment has passed where I haven’t felt the crushing weight of regret for the things I’ve said in the past.”

She continued, in part: “There is simply no excuse for my past horrible tweets. My targets didn’t deserve them. No one does. Many of them needed empathy, kindness, understanding and support, not my meanness masquerading as a kind of casual, edgy humor. I was a troll, full stop. And I am so sorry.”

And now Chrissy’s husband has broken his silence after he was approached by a journalist on Tuesday. As he walked to his car, John was asked by TMZ how Chrissy is doing.

John and Chrissy have been married since September 2013

Without hesitation, the All of Me singer said with a smile, “She’s doing great.”

John, 42, and Chrissy, 35, first met in 2006 when she was cast in the music video for his single Stereo. They got engaged in December 2011 and were married in Como, Italy in September 2013.

In April 2016, they welcomed daughter Luna, now five, followed by son Miles in May 2018. In August 2020 they announced that they were expecting a third child, a baby boy, but the following month Chrissy tragically lost the unborn baby.

In a 2019 interview with Vanity Fair, John described himself as Chrissy’s “biggest cheerleader”. Of their relationship, he added: “It got serious pretty quickly. She just entertained the hell out of me, texting me. What people respond to in her tweets today was the same energy in those texts. I didn’t know that I wanted someone funny until I was actually with someone funny.”

The Voice is already set to come back with Season 28. With it, major changes will also be coming to the competition series. This also comes out as fans have been voicing their concerns over the most recent season and its finale.

An Inside Source Promised Changes Were Coming To The Voice

The Voice recently came back with Season 27 in February. This season, Adam Levine returned as a coach after leaving the role following the sixteenth season. This time, he sat alongside John Legend, Michael Bublé, Kelsea Ballerini.

The season came to an end on May 20, 2025, which saw Adam David as the winner of the competition. However, news has already come out about the show’s next season.

An inside source recently spoke with The U.S. Sun, teasing what fans can expect nest. They shared, “Next season won’t be exactly the same, changes are underway and changes will always come and evolve. No two seasons have ever been the exact same.”

This also comes out as fans have been voicing their concerns following the recent season’s finale. In particular, some feel that the show’s format rushes the competition, as a large number of contestants can leave the show in-between shows. According to these fans, this could cause some contestants to lose before they can really show off their talent.

This became pronounced during the Season 27 finale, when the Top 11 were seen on the stage performing Bastille’s “Pompeii.” Many fans noted the talent seemed to take off when the former contestants appeared.

Fans Already Have Some Idea On What To Expect For Season 28

The source acknowledged that the show does listen to its fans. As they noted, ““The show hears the complaints loud and clear. The people who make the show also want the best talent possible to make it to the finale, but some of that is not in their control. They do the best they can.”

The insider also acknowledged that “The show’s format is by far the show’s biggest obstacle.” They continued, “It’s a tough recipe to follow. The blind auditions, nothing gets better than that. That’s the show’s bread and butter and what put the show on the map.”

That said, the insider assured that not everything is set in stone. As they shared, “Now everything after that? The show is still figuring it out as they go even 27 seasons in.”

As previously reported, fans already know a bit about what Season 28 will look like. The coaches’ lineup has already been announced: Snoop Dogg, Reba McEntire, Niall Horan and Michael Bublé.

In addition, The Voice will also have a different schedule with the new season, due to NBC picking up the NBA. Some weeks will only air episodes on Tuesdays, before switching to airing on Tuesdays, at least according to recent plans.

The multi-talented performer won American Idol over twenty years ago but hasn’t lost a bit of popularity. In fact, she may be ever more popular today than she was two decades ago. But with that popularity comes the risk of burnout.

Kelly Clarkson began hosting her talk show in 2019. It was an immediate hit with viewers. NBC even agreed to move the entire production to New York City to make her happy. But now there are rumors that she wants to move on from the show. Former TODAY co-host Hoda Kotb is on fans’ shortlist for a replacement. However, Kotb recently shut those rumors down and revealed the only talk show she’d consider joining.

Is Kelly Clarkson Done After Season 7?

Kelly Clarkson isn’t the only American Idol alum with a talk show. Season 3 contestant Jennifer Hudson launched a talk show in 2022. It was recently renewed for Season 4. Meanwhile, Kelly Clarkson’s show has at least one more season under her current contract. The Kelly Clarkson Show will air through Season 7, but what happens then is anyone’s guess.

Multiple outlets have reported that the American Idol winner doesn’t plan to continue with the show. It would be a huge blow to the show’s crew, but according to Page Six,

    Inside Her Tumultuous Life

Kelly Clarkson married Brandon Blackstock in a lavish wedding in 2013. She unexpectedly filed for divorce in 2020, kicking off a long legal battle. The two fought over money and custody of their kids. Blackstock was also her manager and responsible for the singer landing huge deals with The Voice and The Kelly Clarkson Show.

The former couple welcomed two children during their marriage: River Rose, 10, and Remy, 8. The kids moved to New York City with their mom after the divorce was settled. By all accounts, the family was thriving, and things with her ex had calmed down. However, Kelly Clarkson vanished from her talk show for a few weeks in March for reasons she still hasn’t disclosed.

Sources alleged that Brandon Blackstock was sick, and she took the kids to visit him. The absence only fueled speculation that she was done with the show. An insider spilled to Page Six that the singer has reached her limit.

“She knows her limits, even on ‘The Voice’, when she was working so hard, she knew when she needed a refresh – that’s what you’re seeing now,” they said. The source added that NBC would be okay with ending the talk show if it meant keeping Kelly Clarkson around to host holiday specials.

Kelly Clarkson hasn’t publicly addressed the rumors that she wants to end the daytime talk show. Do you think the show will continue beyond Season 7? Sound off in the comments.
