Vanna White Shares Rare Family Photo as Christmas Card

Vanna White may be a household name to Wheel of Fortune fans, but she has managed to keep her family mostly out of the spotlight.

The letter-turning star, however, shared a rare snapshot of her longtime boyfriend, John Donaldson, and daughter, Gigi San Pietro, and son, Nikko San Pietro — her two children with ex-husband George Santo Pietro.

In the photo, posted to Instagram as an online holiday card, the four are beaming with their arms around each other as they pose against a backdrop of palm trees.

Vanna White White first met Donaldson, who owns a construction company, through a friend at a barbecue in 2012. She told People last year that the pair are in love but have no plans to make it official with a ring. “Do we have to get married? No, because we feel comfortable in our relationship. You know what I mean?” she said, explaining, “I know that he’s the one. He knows I’m the one.”

White boasted in May 2024 that she was “so proud” of her eldest son Nikko Santo Pietro, 30, after he sold his first home in Los Angeles for his job as a real estate agent with Buying Beverly Hills star Marucio Umansky’s The Agency.

The puzzle queen’s daughter, Gigi Santo Pietro, 27, also lives in L.A., where she works as a tattoo artist.

White, 67, told Good Morning America in September that her youngest child is comfortable around stars, but she was able to arrange a surprise for her while recently filming Celebrity Wheel of Fortune.

“On Celebrity, we had Snoop Dogg and my daughter, who is a huge fan of his — I mean, she meets a lot of celebrities — she goes, ‘Mom! Can I meet him? Is there any way I can come and meet him? I would love to meet him,’” White recalled. “So she did. I said, ‘Come on over.’ She was so happy!”

This year marks White’s 42nd year as co-host of the hit ABC game show.

“It’s such a happy show. It’s fun, too,” she said of her longtime job. “It never gets old. There’s always new puzzles. I have a new dress. You never know what’s going to be said.”

Ryan Seacrest is set to become the new owner of a luxurious mansion in Bel-Air.

The Wall Street Journal reported last month that Seacrest, 50, has been in contract to purchase a 11,000 square foot residence in the swanky LA neighborhood for $36 million.

Now new aerial shots capture the resplendent, seven-bedroom mansion that the Wheel of Fortune host is preparing to call home.

The gorgeous home, designed to resemble the Mediterranean, boasts an interior courtyard filled with archways, olive trees, and leads to a pool in the backyard.

The entryway of the home is decorated with lush foliage, with a large driveway accessible from the street.

Previous inhabitants include Diane Keaton, who owned the residence approximately 20 years ago, according to WSJ.

Fashion mogul Serge Azria, who purchased the home in 2020 for $16.455 million, put the residence on the market for $48 million in June following a nearly three-year renovation.

Azria rebuilt the home into a minimalist style, and the home was designed to feel as though it was set in the south of France or Italy.

From the red tile rooftop to the romantic courtyard and resort-like poolside, it would appear he achieved his vision.

The home also features a pool house with it’s very own wood-burning fireplace.

The property has ample space for parking, with Azria constructing a nearly 1,000 square foot garage that can accommodate five or six vehicles, according to WSJ.

The home can also be accessed via two gates, including a second service gate that can hold 10 more cars.

It comes two years after Ryan sold off his sprawling Beverly Hills mansion for $51 million, a home he purchased from Ellen DeGeneres in 2012 for $36.5 million.

On top of his latest home purchase, Ryan has his hands full as he prepares to end 2024.

Not only that, but Seacrest recently became the new host of Wheel of Fortune, replacing long-time host Pat Sajak.

Sajak hosted Wheel of Fortune for 43 years from 1981 to 2024, though he still hosts Celebrity Wheel of Fortune from time to time.

‘Wheel Of Fortune’ Why Fans Say Ryan Seacrest’s Days Are Numbered

    Wheel Of Fortune: Ryan Seacrest

New Wheel Of Fortune host Ryan Seacrest has been under an incredible amount of scrutiny since he took over for Pat Sajak. Even though he has put his best foot forward when it has come to the huge shoes to fill, many viewers are still rooting against him, with many saying that his days as the host are numbered. So, what are fans saying?

Wheel Of Fortune: Ryan Seacrest Stepped Into The Lion’s Den With New Gig

It is not a stretch to say that no one has been under a microscope the same way that Ryan Seacrest has been since taking over hosting duties on Wheel Of Fortune from Pat Sajak. Game show fans love tradition when it comes to their favorite game shows, and changing something like the host is a major deal that can easily make or break a program.

Even Ryan Seacrest has been open about feeling the pressure since he has been in the hot seat. Seacrest may have years of experience hosting shows like American Idol, but, taking on the world of Wheel Of Fortune is a completely different beast, as Ryan has found out since taking the job.

Fans Say Seacrest Is On Borrowed Time As The Game Show Host

Based on recent comments from Wheel Of Fortune fans, many already feel as though Ryan Seacrest has overstayed his welcome on the show. Recently, many commenters came forward with their thoughts on why they think this will be a short-lived gig for him.

One recent Wheel Of Fortune commenter said: “I’m sorry, but I can’t stomach Ryan. His delivery is smug and he seems so condescending.”
A second commenter chimed in, adding: “he’s trying but it just isn’t working.”
A third commenter added to the discussion, saying: “He’s definitely no Pat, but then again, no one is.”

Do Wheel Of Fortune Execs Have A Contingency Plan In Place?

While a lot of people may not like Ryan Seacrest as the new Wheel Of Fortune host, it seems that the game show brass may also be preparing a backup plan, just in case things don’t work out with the new host for the long haul.

One of the points of contention between Ryan Seacrest and the game show is that Wheel Of Fortune execs want Ryan’s undivided attention. Even though they may be willing to pay top dollar for his services, as many people know, Seacrest is also the face of American Idol.

However, it seems there is a backup plan in place to plug Maggie Sajak into the hosting gig if things don’t work out longterm with Ryan, and, based on a lot of fan comments, it seems many viewers would prefer that.

What do you think of Ryan Seacrest as the host? Let us know in the comments below.

Wheel of Fortune execs ‘desperate to hold onto’ Seacrest amid Vanna White ‘salary issue’

Wheel of Fortune bosses are reportedly eager to ‘lock’ Ryan Seacrest in with a flashy new deal amid his ratings success – despite Vanna White’s lower salary.

The executives over at Wheel of Fortune are eager to hold onto new host Ryan Seacrest.

According to a new report, the big wigs in charge of the long-running game show—that was previously hosted by Pat Sajak—are eager to “lock” Ryan into a pricey new deal.

This comes amid news that the American Idol host already makes “five times more” than co-host Vanna White—something that is allegedly becoming more of a point of contention.

A source told Closer Weekly that Vanna “is not a part of Ryan’s renegotiation at all” because she already negotiated her current deal “around the same time Pat decided to step down from the syndicated version of the show.” Pat left the show back in June.

As for Ryan, the powers that be believe he’s already “proven himself as a worthy successor to Pat [Sajak] and more importantly, as somebody who can bring new fans into the Wheel franchise.”

    Ryan Seacrest

The source added: “His numbers are holding up and that’s triggering a renegotiation as Sony TV looks to lock Ryan in for more than just his initial deal.”

Though the insider acknowledges that Vanna — who has been on the show since 1982 — is “heart of Wheel of Fortune in a lot of ways,” Ryan “is the one with the leverage.”

The source even suggests that he is well on his way to becoming “one of the highest-paid game show hosts in history because of the results he’s delivered so far.”

However, his ratings and lucrative success may cause tension with his on-air counterpart.

“For the time being, Vanna is staying with the show but the suddenly increased viewership is enough to make her question the deal she’s been under,” the source claimed. “She’s going to have a front-row seat watching Ryan get a giant raise and a long-term commitment from the studio. Everybody expects that she’ll follow suit and ask for more money sooner rather than later.”

    Women's Guild Cedars-Sinai Annual Luncheon

Despite the alleged drama behind-the-scenes, Ryan, Vanna, and his Wheel of Fortune staff seem to be closer than ever.

Ahead of Christmas, Ryan posted touching footage from his holiday lunch with his game show crew. Addressing the crowd, thanked everyone for welcoming into the “Wheel of Fortune” and admitted that he had been “scared to death.”

“I was nervous about walking into something that is so successful,” he said.

At the conclusion of his heartfelt speech, his colleagues burst into applause.

Wheel of Fortune fans are divided on their opinion of Ryan Seacrest as Pat Sajak’s replacement on the game show, with a Reddit post sparking a debate about his performance three months in.

Viewers seem to be divided on their opinion of the new host, debating his performance and comparing him to Pat in a Reddit thread titled “Ryan’s no Pat.”

While he has gotten off to kind of a rocky start, die-hard fans of the show appear to be warming up to Ryan, who seems to finally be finding his footing despite speculation that his run on the show may be temporary.

In the Reddit post, one fan of the show shared their disappointment in Wheel of Fortune’s new host, writing: “I’m sorry, but I can’t stomach Ryan. His delivery is smug and he seems so condescending.”

The opinion proved to be controversial when fans came to Ryan’s defense, sparking a debate about whether he is failing to live up to Pat’s legacy or if the show’s fanbase is just experiencing growing pains.

The 77-year-old announced his retirement in 2023 after more than 8,000 episodes, taking his final spin in June 2024. Ryan, a seasoned television producer and presenter, took over the role as host of one of America’s most watched game shows in September.

[H0T] ‘SNL’ Star Michael Che Is Prepping a preparing something very special for the fans

‘SNL’ Star Michael Che Is Prepping a Late Night Show

‘Don’t Sleep With Michael Che’ is the title of the still-fluid format, which Che is workshopping in a Manhattan comedy club.

Michael Che has been pulling double duty, shuttling between Saturday Night Live, where he’s now celebrating 10 years as a “Weekend Update” anchor, and Manhattan’s City Winery, where he’s workshopping a new late night show.

Don’t Sleep With Michael Che is his working title, mostly, he says, because he gets a kick out of the turn of phrase. As for everything else, Che is still sorting it out. “Sometimes you just got to motivate yourself to get onstage and try things, especially me because I’ll come up with an idea and then I’ll get bored and it dies in my imagination,” he told The Hollywood Reporter earlier this month. “So, I have no idea where this goes, but you never know, maybe NBC will put it on at 3 in the morning.”

According to Late Nighter, which was on site for his first show in late August, it has a real exploratory feel to it — more John Mulaney’s Everybody Loves LA than The Tonight Show. In fact, the highlights from test show No. 1 included a seemingly unplanned Dating Game-style panel featuring a few audience members and some fake ad reads that Che layered throughout. Still, there were some familiar late night trappings, including his makeshift desk and couch along with the show’s comedy-followed-by-guest-interviews format, though the latter ultimately were more “freewheeling and unstructured” than those of a traditional late night show. (Per the City Winery website, tickets range from $30-$35, and phones are banned.)

Che has already discussed the project with his SNL boss and mentor Lorne Michaels, who produces late night shows for both Seth Meyers (Late Night) and Jimmy Fallon (Tonight Show). But he’s stopped short of shopping the format to buyers around town, however, suggesting that he’d like to keep testing it with audiences at this stage. “I always think comedy fans select what they want to see,” Che explained, “and so, ideally, I’d just do it live for a while and listen to what the response is and find the identity of the show that way and then have something to sell.”

It’s too early to know whether this will evolve into his SNL exit strategy. For now, Che says he still loves being part of the long-running sketch comedy show, even if, he admitted, “you get moments where you love it so much that it drives you crazy and you want to be as far away from it as possible.” When asked if he intended to be there for the show’s 51st season as part of THR’s recent cover story, pegged to SNL‘s 50th, Che responded: “I try not to think about it because then I think it ruins the morale for the rest of the year. I just, I don’t know, you never know.”

In the meantime, he’s enjoying his side gig, and he’s tickled that audiences seem to be liking it, too. “I’m having fun, but it’s like any relationship that’s new,” he joked, “you can’t start talking marriage too soon.”

Wheel of Fortune has been on the air for almost 50 years and 42 seasons and, in that time, has featured about 24,000 contestants. However, according to Maggie Sajak, there are really only seven types of players.

The game show’s social media correspondent shared a video on the Wheel‘s official Instagram page on Thursday, October 17, where she revealed the seven different types of players, complete with an example of their performance style.

Sajak started off with “The Polite One,” where she kindly asked, “Vanna [White], may I please have an S?”

This was followed by “The One Who Projects,” with Maggie shouting, “Is there a T?!”

Up next was “The Excited One,” where Maggie asked for an R and then started clapping and jumping up and down.

Then there was “The Confident One,” where she leaned against the wheel and calmly said, “I’ll take the X.”

This was followed by “The Indecisive One,” where Maggie ummed and ahhed over her choice before asking, “Can I buy an E?”

She then introduced “The One Who Always Knows The Answer When It’s Not Their Turn,” performing as a frustrated, eye-rolling contestant.

Finally, there was “The Supportive One,” where Maggie clapped along and told her opponent, “Nice spin… good letter.”

In the caption of the post, Maggie admitted, “I’m the indecisive one.”

Fans jumped into the comments to share their reactions, with one commenter joking, “I think I’m all of these to the max rolled up into one if that’s even possible???”

“My wife told me I’m one who projects. I’m embarrassed to see my episode now,” said one future contestant.

“I’m between polite and excited!” added another.

Another added, “Who doesn’t love a supportive bestie?!”

One former contestant replied, “I was definitely Excited, polite, (behind the scenes supportive) & a touch indecisive.”

    “Great combo!” Maggie responded.

Another fan added an eighth type of player, writing, “I’m a multiples hunter; if I know there’s multiple instances of a letter, I spin until a big one hits, call the multiple and solve when there’s no multiples left (if I know it, of course).”

Sara Haines walked off The View set live on air after her co-star Whoopi Goldberg made a bold confession, leaving the audience in hysterics.

The popular morning chat show The View took a wild turn in more ways than one this week.

Whoopi Goldberg celebrated her 69th birthday on the long-running ABC morning show on Wednesday by promoting some of her favorite products with the help of her co-host Sara Haines.

As Whoopi and Sara discussed a handful of products positioned on the stage, they walked over to a giant wheel of cheese with the Sister Act star’s face on it.

While admiring the huge dairy product, Whoopie shared that she “always wanted” her face printed on cheese.

Then, the author brazenly admitted: “I like to be eaten from time to time,” as seen in a clip later shared on X, formally Twitter.

Sara’s eyes immediately widened before she playfully stormed off of the set in response to her co-star’s cheeky remark.

Meanwhile, the audience laughed and cheered in response to the comedian’s confession.

Whoopi’s demeanor changed as she pretended to play coy before Sara finally returned to the stage and hugged her.

“Never mind!” Goldberg exclaimed, as she also waved her hand to dismiss the joke.
