When Does Reba McEntire’s New Show Happy’s Place Come Back on NBC?

Here’s everything fans should know about the Season 2 premiere date.

Fans are getting a double dose of Reba McEntire this fall on NBC.

    How to Watch

Watch the Season 2 premiere of Happy’s Place on Friday, November 7 at 8/7c on NBC and Peacock.

In addition to being part of an all-star Coach lineup of The Voice Season 28 — premiering September 22 at 8/7c — the Queen of Country will return for Season 2 of her hit sitcom Happy’s Place just a few weeks later.

The second season of Happy’s Place was announced earlier this year. On February 20, McEntire shared a tear-filled Instagram video revealing Season 2 had officially been green-lit.

“Beyond thrilled. Love this job, love these people. Grateful, excited and HAPPY,” star Melissa Peterman — and McEntire’s real-life bestie — commented on the video.

On June 27, McEntire shared the first teaser video of the new season — and it was clear that everybody from the live studio audience to the cast couldn’t be more excited. (Rex Linn, McEntire’s IRL boyfriend and Happy’s Place co-star, looked especially pumped.)

Here’s what to know about the Season 2 premiere of Happy’s Place:

The wait is almost over: Happy’s Place Season 2 will premiere with a back-to-back double-episode event on Friday, November 7 at 8/7c — only on NBC. Episodes stream next day on Peacock.

Fans fell in love with the show when it premiered in 2024. In addition to McEntire, Peterman, and Linn, the series stars Belissa Escobedo, Pablo Castelblanco, and Tokala Black Elk.

This isn’t the first time McEntire and Peterman have been on the same show — they first met on the set of Reba in 2001, and they’ve been close ever since.

During an August 2025 appearance on The Jason Show, Peterman spoke about her bond with McEntire that has spanned two different TV comedies.

“The first time it happened, I had no idea what that Reba show was gonna do for my life. How it would change my life, give me lifelong friends,” Peterman explained.

“You kind of don’t know. You’re like, ‘This is great, this is fun!’” Peterman continued. “And the second time around [on Happy’s Place], we’re older, a little wiser, and I think we all realize it’s even more precious because we do know how rare it is to get to do this and to get to do it with friends. We take care of it. We’re savoring every minute.”

Vanna White admits she never knew the source of the iconic clicking sound after 43 seasons of ‘Wheel of Fortune’

Ryan Seacrest hopes to achieve one mega 'Wheel of Fortune' goal in 2025

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!

When it comes to behind-the-scenes secrets on “Wheel of Fortune,” host Ryan Seacrest is not afraid to spill.

During a recent interview in promotion of the beloved show’s 43rd season, Seacrest — who took over hosting duties for Pat Sajak last year — shared how the show creates the clicking sound viewers hear when a contestant spins the wheel. The on-set secret even surprised co-host Vanna White.

“Do you know the clicking sound? There are rubber bands — like you used to have with orthodontia on your teeth — that’s what makes the clicking,” Seacrest told “Good Morning America” on Sept. 5.

Ryan Seacrest, Vanna White for Wheel of Fortune

“Do you know I never knew that?” White admitted.

“Well, welcome to season 43!” Seacrest responded.

Sajak’s retirement in 2024 marked an end to 42 years of hosting the show. Weeks after his announcement, Seacrest was officially named as his replacement. White later signed a contract that will keep her on the show through the 2025-2026 season.

The popular game show first premiered on television in 1975. Sajak started hosting in 1981, with White joining him the following year.

    Wheel of Fortune wheel

Sajak became one of the most beloved television hosts in game show history, with one expert previously telling Fox News Digital his appeal is “like humidity. You can’t see it, but you can certainly feel it.”

“Sajak embodies everything you would want in a host — calm, charismatic, clean-cut and very likable,” Doug Eldridge, founder of Achilles PR, continued. “He managed banter with contestants, while celebrating them in victory and consoling them in defeat. He did so with a small smile and a big heart.”

Vanna White and Ryan Seacrest point at the Santa Monica ferris wheel lit up like "Wheel of Fortune" wheel

“It was a perfect storm in a lot of ways,” Eldridge said. “Timing, tempo and teamwork. When you look at the timing, game shows reached their zenith in the 1960s and 70s … the timing [of Sajak and White’s takeover] was like the last few clicks at the top of the roller coaster climb, when it comes to American viewing habits.”

For this season’s “Year of Fun!,” the game show will be amping up the excitement in the studio and for viewers at home with more tournaments, bigger prizes, and extra opportunities to win, according to a press release.

“Ryan brings his charm, warmth and playfulness into his interactions with the contestants and co-host Vanna White, and that has resonated with our viewers,” the show’s executive producer, Bellamie Blackstone, said in the release. “A big part of the success we saw last season can be credited to these many wonderful moments, so we decided to embrace it, and make ‘The Year of Fun’ the season 43 theme.”

The Voice fans blast show’s abrupt change with performance schedule

Many fans of The Voice were unhappy when they watched the recent episode of NBC’s singing competition show.

While viewers expected to see a specific stage of the competition, it didn’t air this week.

The Knockouts stage performances weren’t part of the episode and will air next week on The Voice.

Instead of seeing these new performances, viewers saw highlights from previous episodes in Season 25 and a recap of the Blind Auditions and Battles.

That abrupt schedule change in the performances led to some fans venting about the show.

Viewers also speculated about the reason for the schedule change, as other significant events aired on television.

The Voice fans express frustration over the show’s schedule

The Voice has undergone various changes throughout its 25 seasons, including its personnel. The coaches have changed multiple times, with celebrities coming and going. Artists Dan + Shay joined Reba McEntire, Chance the Rapper, and John Legend this year.

However, this week’s schedule change with no new performances frustrated many viewers.

Many fans vented on a Reddit post about the show not airing any performances this past week, with some calling it “dumb,” “ridiculous,” and “absurd.”

“So dumb. This show is like 50% filler & reruns when the people just want to see all the performances,” a commenter wrote.

Another said: “The scheduling of the voice is ridiculous. We never know when it’s on. They change the times, repeat the same songs or auditions over and over again. I’m disgusted with this show.”

After one commenter mentioned “they wanted to do a recap,” another called it “absurd.”

It’s unclear why Monday’s episode was a recap, but several other significant events were on television opposite The Voice.

Two NCAA Division I Women’s College Basketball games aired on ESPN, and the winners advanced to the Final Four.

One game featured college basketball phenom Caitlin Clark and her Iowa Hawkeyes, and the other featured Paige Bueckers and the Connecticut Huskies, and according to NBC News, Iowa’s game vs. LSU had 12.3 million viewers, the most ever for a women’s college basketball game.

Meanwhile, Fox was airing the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards, hosted by Ludacris. The event featured performances by Justin Timberlake, Jelly Roll, Jennifer Hudson, and Cher, as well as award wins by Taylor Swift, Beyonce, and Drake.

The Voice revealed Season 25 schedule changes

An NBC report revealed that The Voice wouldn’t have any performances on the Monday, April 1 episode, and it wasn’t an April Fool’s joke.

Based on additional details, the show will also air once a week, Monday evenings through the remainder of April.

These episodes of The Voice will feature the Knockouts stage performances and the Playoffs to help determine who advances and wins.

Country musician Keith Urban will be the mega mentor during the Knockouts stage.

Starting on May 6, The Voice will air its live shows twice a week again on NBC, Mondays and Tuesdays.

The Voice airs Mondays at 8/7c on NBC.

Blake Shelton Talks ‘The Voice’ Return, Compares Himself To Pat Sajak

Undeniably, Blake Shelton prides himself in being a mainstay on the popular show The Voice. After his longtime tenure, he compares himself to Wheel Of Fortune host, Pat Sajak. Additionally, he teases a possible comeback for the show.

Blake Shelton Is A Legend For The Voice

In 2023, Blake Shelton left The Voice fans in shock by leaving abruptly. Unmistakably, he had been a staple of the show since its start. After 23 back-to-back seasons, Blake admitted he needed a break. While Blake was a fixture on the show since its first season in 2011, he knew it was time to do something else. Without a doubt, he still holds the record for most wins by a coach on The Voice. Notably, he took the win in nine different seasons. Additionally, following Blake’s lead, his wife, Gwen Stefani, left the show soon after him in 2024 before the start of Season 25.

Blake Shelton Compares Himself To Pat Sajak

With Blake Shelton’s long run on The Voice, he easily identifies with longtime Wheel Of Fortune host, Pat Sajak. Undoubtedly, the years of filming have taken its toll on Blake. Furthermore, he compares himself to Pat’s iconic host role of 41 years. Blake says, “I’ve done it for 23 seasons without missing a single season, you know?”

While Blake’s stint didn’t last nearly as long as Pat’s, he thinks he understands what Pat must be feeling as he approaches retirement. Blake exclaims, “I know what you feel like, Pat Sajak!” Admittedly, he knows how tired he was after 23 seasons and can imagine the dedication it takes to stick with one job for 41 years. Then relating, Blake adds, “Because that’s kind of how I was starting to feel.”

    The Voice Took Its Toll

All in all, Blake Shelton reflects on what the trade for a career like The Voice or Wheel Of Fortune takes. Adding, “If you’re on back-to-back seasons, there’s really no time for any other thing, you know?” Accordingly, he points out, “If you didn’t want to have a family and a life that much you could do it, but something has to give. It was time for The Voice to be thing that gives.”

Furthermore, Blake previously admitted the seasons were catching up with him. “The second I started feeling like, ‘Oh, my gosh, I don’t even remember what season this is anymore. Who are the coaches on this season?’ [I knew that] I needed [to get] away from here.” Additionally, telling Today that it was a difficult decision for him. He says, “I think I was close to calling it a day right when COVID hit. And then because of COVID, I didn’t want to walk away from the show, and leave everybody in a bind.”

    Blake Shelton Teases A Return

Although Blake Shelton doesn’t seem to be in a hurry to return to The Voice, he has a few instances he teases that would warrant a comeback. In an interview with ExtraTV on Sunday, he says, “I don’t ever plan on working at The Voice again.” Further adding, “Who knows? That’s me sitting here as I say that right now.” Then he says, “I can’t say I wouldn’t come by for a surprise appearance.”

Additionally, showing his gratitude for his time on the show, he says, “That show is the greatest and most important thing I’ve ever been a part of in my career. It changed my life.” Admittedly, it sounds like Blake left on good terms. He says, “When I left, I feel like I really left; we all love each other.” Likewise, Blake is thankful for the opportunity the show gave him to connect with his now-wife, Gwen Stefani.

    Ideal Conditions For His Return

During an interview on Thursday with Entertainment Tonight, Blake Shelton discusses one perfect scenario for his return to The Voice‘s big red chair. Blake says, “If they were ever able to put together the original four coaches again, maybe [I’d return] for one season, a one-off.” Referring to a reunion with Adam Levine, Christina Aguilera, and CeeLo Green. He says, “That would be fun for me… That would be something I would be interested in doing.”

‘American Idol’ and ‘The Voice’ are two best singing competition shows that provide contestants a platform to reach a global audience. Both shows have seen impeccable talents over the years, and the only aspect that separates them is their unique format. ‘The Voice’ auditions are its USP as it lets the judges select the contestants based on nothing but their voices.

It is divided into different rounds, like the “knockouts” and the “lives.” On the contrary, ‘American Idol’ has a straightforward format that goes from auditions to elimination and finally to the result. Fans took to social media to debate which show has a better format.

“I prefer the finale on American Idol instead of The Voice,” one Reddit user wrote. The fan feels that the ‘American Idol’ finale has more “magic” than its competitor. “I prefer The Voice until the lives. Once live shows start, I prefer Idol. so watching both at once is very satisfying for me!” a second social media user wrote. Another fan claimed that ‘The Voice’ allows many undeserving singers to reach the “lives” round. However, in the other show, the competitors must have “strong chops” for singing live from the audition itself.

“On The Voice, it feels like everything early on is really fun to watch, but it’s very produced and edited so the singers don’t have to prove their craft as much,” the user added. Another Reddit user pointed out that the new “fast tracking” on ‘The Voice.’ “There used to be more than 2 weeks of lives where 2 maybe 3, went home each week. I love the blinds and battles, though,” the user added.  Another social media user wrote that they prefer “everything” about ‘American Idol’ over ‘The Voice.’ The user continued to claim that the former has better lighting, sound, and styling. “I enjoy the voice, but it’s just not the same,” the user added. Another internet user pointed out that ‘American Idol’ releasing original songs from the contestants makes it a standout show.

The “room” is too—odd? idk what it is,” the user added.
