Plus, will the actress and singer appear in Season 5 of ‘Sweet Magnolias’?

JoAnna Garcia Swisher would be happy to make a cameo on her former TV mom Reba McEntire‘s sitcom Happy’s Place.

“No doubt. If they were to ask me to do it, I would 100 percent be there and I would move mountains to do it,” Swisher exclusively told Parade while promoting Hallmark Channel’s three-part special event Providence Falls, which she executive produced.

But at the same time, the Sweet Magnolias star noted that “obviously they’re making a television show,” so a cameo would have to “work for the story and all of those moments.”

Happy’s Place stars McEntire alongside her fellow Reba alum Melissa Peterman. Since debuting in 2024, the NBC sitcom has reunited McEntire and Peterman onscreen with their former Reba co-stars Christopher Rich and Steve Howey.

Swisher revealed that she has “not yet” been asked to appear on Happy’s Place. But the actress is “so excited for them” and intends to visit the set of the sitcom when she goes back to Los Angeles.

The actress explained, “When I’ve been in L.A, they haven’t been in production, so I’ve just seen them personally, but I really want to go back and watch them create that magic. They’re just all so special to me. In front of the camera and behind the camera, that’s family.”

Swisher has previously sought to get McEntire on her Netflix series Sweet Magnolias, but so far, it hasn’t panned out. “We have tried to get Reba on. I always am trying to work with everyone from Reba because I love them so much. But Happy’s Place and The Voice keeps her very busy,” Swisher said of Reba. “It didn’t work out scheduling for last season [of Sweet Magnolias]. And this season, we didn’t have a moment for that.”

However, if there were to be a sixth season, Swisher said, “I’m sure if Reba wanted to dip her toe in Serenity, we would make it happen.”

Production on Season 5 of Sweet Magnolias is currently underway. Swisher teased that the fifth season “has the most romance” she thinks they’ve “ever had” on the show. “It’s hard to even believe, but the most drama, too,” she revealed, later sharing that “this season is filled with new possibilities and new beginnings.”

Kevin Abbott also shares which guest star role “Reba” alum JoAnna Garcia Swisher may be offered

After “Happy’s Place” united sisters Bobbie (Reba) and Isabella (Belissa Escobedo) in its first season, Season 2 will see a bit more conflict between the pair, according to series co-creator Kevin Abbott.

“Last season was really more the honeymoon phase, where they both wanted to be sisters and they wanted it to work, and so arguments, you kind of slough off … anything that irritates you,” Abbott said on a “Happy’s Place” panel during NBCUniversal’s backlot day in Los Angeles. “Any little disagreements, they get put aside very quickly.”

Abbott said Season 2 will move the newfound sisters into the next chapter in their relationship, saying “this is more the marriage phase.”

“I have a good marriage, but this is the one where the irritants are a little more irritating, and you hold your ground a little bit more in certain areas,” Abbott added. “We are going to see a little bit more conflict between the two of them when it comes to trying to work out this sister relationship.”

With much of the cast and crew rolling over from “Reba,” “Reba” star Steve Howey guest starred in the first season, and Abbott is hopeful JoAnna Garcia Swisher could be the next alum to make an appearance on the NBC sitcom, especially since Swisher expressed her willingness to come on the show.

“We are working on that. We really, really want JoAnna to be on the show,” Abbott said. “We have a couple of roles that we are juggling to decide which would be the most fun for her — because we don’t want to bring somebody on and just have them be on. We want to bring them on and have, even if it’s just for us, a fun reason that they are playing the role that they are playing.”

Abbott added that Swisher, who currently hosts Netflix dating show “The Ultimatum: Queer Love,” is “at the top of the list of the people we want to bring on as guest stars.”

As for whether Howey might return for Season 2, the chances are a bit murkier after he landed a series regular role in ABC’s “High Potential,” which stars Kaitlin Olson. “He’s good, which is kind of a curse,” Abbott said joking, adding that there’s “always a chance” Howey could return. “We love him to death.”

“Happy’s Place” Season 2 premieres Nov. 7 on NBC. Season 1 is now streaming on Peacock.

The Voice Season 28 Coach and Happy’s Place star are literally jumping for joy.

Don’t look now: There’s another bromance brewing in The Voice Coach Michael Bublé’s life.

In an August TikTok, Bublé shared an adorable video featuring himself and Happy’s Place star Rex Linn holding hands, lip-syncing, and being the literal definition of a bromance.

With the words “He told me we were going to jump together” on screen — a nod to a current viral couple’s meme — Bublé could barely hold back his smile as he and Linn shared a cute moment.

“Regardless, Rex is my ‘Happy Place,’” Bublé captioned.

Linn is the real-life boyfriend of Reba McEntire, who will join Bublé in Season 28 of The Voice this fall on NBC. (McEntire also stars with Linn on Happy’s Place.)

Speaking of bromances: Back in May, Bublé showed some love for actor Chase Stokes, the boyfriend of Bublé’s fellow Season 27 Voice Coach Kelsea Ballerini. The two shared a gigantic hug after the season wrapped as Bublé told Stokes, “I love you.”

The bond that exists between Bublé and Snoop Dogg — which first blossomed in Season 26 of The Vocie — is something fans can’t wait to see evolve even further when the two reunite for Season 28.

For The Voice Season 28, Bublé, McEntire, and Snoop Dogg return to their Coach chairs alongside fellow returning Coach Niall Horan. The hit singing competition series returns to NBC on Monday, September 22 at 8/7c.

No Coach is more ready for The Voice Season 28’s premiere than Michael Bublé.

In a July behind-the-scenes video documenting the Season 28 Coaches’ return to the Voice set (watch above), fans witnessed just how laser-focused Bublé is on winning his third season.

At one point in the video, Bublé rolled up his pant leg to reveal a surprising fashion choice: custom-made socks covered with McEntire’s face.

“These are the finest socks ever,” he said while showing them off. “Look at how beautiful… they’re smiling at you.”

His socks were only part one of the “mind games” he was playing with McEntire. What came next was a pitch-perfect McEntire impression that showed fans that Bublé means business in Season 28.

“Hey Mike, I’m gonna beat you,” Bublé said in his best Queen of Country-inspired accent.

Niall Horan is worried he lost his momentum on The Voice by taking time off from the show.

Horan, 31, revealed how he feels about returning as a coach to NBC’s singing competition after taking three seasons off in a video with fellow coach Michael Bublé shared via The Voice’s official Instagram on Monday, August 11.

“My friend Niall Horan is coming back to coach season 28 of The Voice. He’s been gone for a few years. He’s gonna tell you how he feels about it because he’s a little nervous,” Bublé, 49, told the camera with his arms crossed in front of his chest. “And you better be nice.”

Horan, who had been standing in the background and fixing his hair in a mirror, then stepped forward to share his thoughts as Bublé observed from behind with a serious expression on his face.

“Yeah, you know, I’m coming back as a coach. I took a year out to go on tour, and I’m not sure how I feel about coming back. … It’s a nerve-wracking experience to come back, and I’m not sure if anyone’s going to want to be on my team,” the former One Direction member said.

Expressing his fears over being able to convince artists to join his team, he continued, “Are my pitching skills going to be up to standard? Yeah, in a way, I kind of wish I didn’t take a year out because I would have just been on a roll, but it is nerve-wracking, you know? It’s not easy.”

Fans showed support for Horan in the comments section.

“‘We love you Niall’ we all say in unison,” one user wrote, while another person added, “Niall ur doing amazing sweetie.”

“We love you, Niall! Don’t worry 😂,” a third fan commented.

Horan previously served as a coach in seasons 23 and 24 in 2023. He won both times, with artists Gina Miles and Huntley, respectively.

After touring the world to promote his third studio album, The Show, in 2024, Horan is set to return to The Voice for season 28 this fall. He’ll be coaching alongside fellow returnees Bublé, Snoop Dogg and Reba McEntire.

“Excited to be back!” Horan wrote via X when the coaches were announced in May.

During the semifinals of his inaugural season, Horan reflected on the best and worst parts of being a coach.

“I’m sick of making hard decisions. I’ve really struggled,” he admitted. Horan also said he felt like a “deer in the headlights” at first.

“It was just like, there’s a red chair. Press the button when you feel like it,” he said, noting that “the rest of it, navigating your way through the production of the show,” was also a challenge.

Horan said he found it helpful to observe The Voice “legend” Blake Shelton, who left the show after 23 seasons in May 2023.

“It’s been the best learning experience for me,” Horan continued. “I’ve just grown into it, and just really enjoyed it. … The team environment with all the artists and contestants [has] been really fun. I do look forward to doing it again.”

The Voice season 28 premieres on Monday, September 22, and Tuesday, September 23, at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.

Kelly Clarkson Steps Away From Texas Fundraiser Concert Following Ex-Husband’s Death

Though her voice will be missed, fans are sending love to Kelly during this difficult time.

the kelly clarkson show season 6

August 17 was shaping up to be one of the most Texas nights of the year with Miranda Lambert, Parker McCollum, Cody Johnson, and Kelly Clarkson all sharing a stage in Austin for Band Together Texas, a benefit concert raising money for flood relief across Central Texas. With big stars, big voices, and an even bigger cause, unfortunately, things have taken an emotional turn (but for good reason)—Kelly Clarkson has officially stepped away from the event following the death of her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock.

But for the sake of helping families across Texas affected by the July 4th floods, the show must go on and it’s still stacked with noteworthy Texas-native names. We’re talking special appearances by fellow Lone Star legends like Matthew McConaughey and Dennis Quaid. But fans are understandably saddened to learn that Kelly will no longer be taking the stage. “I’m so sad Kelly Clarkson’s not gonna be there anymore 😢 i completely understand why, still bummed,” wrote one fan looking forward to seeing the “Since U Been Gone” singer perform live.

The event shared the message, “Unfortunately, Kelly Clarkson will be unable to appear at Band Together Texas as planned, due to personal circumstances. We send our love to Kelly and her family.”

Kelly, who shares two children with Blackstock (11-year-old daughter River and 9-year-old son Remington) also announced she’s postponing the remaining dates of her Las Vegas residency. She shared the announcement on Instagram writing, “While I normally keep my personal life private, this past year, my children’s father has been ill and at this moment, I need to be fully present for them. I am sincerely sorry to everyone who bought tickets to the shows and I so appreciate your grace, kindness and understanding.”

Fans, family, and friends alike flooded the comments of Kelly’s post sharing their support for the singer. “Those kids need you more than we do! Go be the best momma! Best wishes to all involved ❤️🙏,” wrote an understanding fan. “Sending you and your family so much love, Kelly 💖💖” and “Sending light and so much love,” echoed others.

Brandon Blackstock passed away earlier this August after a private battle with melanoma, a form of skin cancer. Though the couple’s romantic relationship ended in 2020, Kelly has remained focused on co-parenting and keeping their children grounded and supported.

Understandably, this is a painful moment for the singer and her family. It’s a reminder that behind the music and glamour, real life still finds its way in.

Kelly’s voice will no doubt be missed at the Band Together Texas event, but we hope Kelly can spend all the time she needs with her family and take the time to mourn.

Heartbreaking video of Kelly Clarkson in tears as she struggles through concert days before her ex-husband’s death

The star fought back tears in a heartbreaking moment on stage as she spoke with the crowd about her personal struggles.

Kelly Clarkson got visibly emotional onstage just days before her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock, tragically died following a private battle with cancer.

Page Six exclusively reported over the weekend that the star had been fighting back tears during her performance in Las Vegas on July 26.

Now, a resurfaced video — originally shared via TikTok last month — shows Clarkson wiping away tears as she introduced Piece by Piece in Sin City. At one point, the 43-year-old singer joked to her Las Vegas Studio Session residency attendees about the magic of “compartmentalisation”.

Clarkson previously revealed that she wrote the song about Blackstock. She released the catchy track in 2015 when they were still married.

However, after their contentious divorce in 2020, the Grammy winner famously changed the lyrics — and reflected on the editing process during last month’s performance.

“I’ve never rewritten a song more and I probably never will,” she explained to fans. “I wrote this song with a lot of hope and projection for happiness and better than what was happening. And then, well, life set in.”

The TV star “had to change the lyrics” because singing the original rendition was “embarrassing” and not “fun” for her.

However, Clarkson now thinks the change sounded “a little angry” for her liking.

“I just wanted to explain how it feels now. I’m 43. I’ve done some therapy, and I changed the lyrics now and I think it’s perfect. I promise. I’m not gonna change it again,” she noted.

“It just represents, kind of, I don’t know, I feel like we grow up, right?” the Kelly Clarkson Show host continued. “And this is the more grown-up version of it.”

When Clarkson found herself emotional once more, she turned her back to the audience and tried “to pull it all together.”

She fought back tears and exclaimed, “Oh, s**t. Let’s make it happen. Screw it, let’s just sing it. This is Piece by Piece.”

Brandon Blackstock passed away this month from cancer. Picture: Getty

In the tweaked lyrics, Clarkson changed the “he” pronouns to “I” as she sang about someone “collecting [her] up off the ground” and “filling the holes” her father “burned” in her.

Instead of singing about a partner who “takes care” of her, she crooned, “I’m learning every day / How to love me / I let go of the shame / That you taught me.”

She concluded the chorus — initially about a “kind … man” and a “father [who] could stay,” by singing, “Piece by piece, I restored my faith / A heart can still beat, even if it breaks.”

Clarkson abruptly cancelled her residency dates last week due to Blackstock being “ill” — only for news to break one day later that the 48-year-old had lost a years-long battle to skin cancer.

The singer, who shared daughter River, 11, and son Remington, 9, with Blackstock, has yet to comment publicly on his passing.

Social media users praised Clarkson’s emotional performance after the fact, with one pointing out, “She did this knowing Brandon’s time was coming to an end and her kid’s hearts were going to break and she would be there for them to carry them through.”

Another gushed, “Knowing she was singing this knowing her children’s father was dying hits different.”

BLAKE Shelton has baffled fans with a bizarre, cryptic announcement about ‘recreational use’ on Instagram.

Country star Blake, 48, left fans scratching their heads after sharing an orange square with the words, “FOR RECREATIONAL USE ONLY,” offering no further explanation.

Fans immediately flooded the comments, desperate to decode the mysterious message.

One fan asked, “Blake Shelton what is this? What is going on with you???”

Another said, “He’s coming out with a [beer emoji]. Or a collab with Zach Bryan (something in the orange??)” referencing Blake’s hit song.

A third joked, “Blake coming out with ganja line was not on our 2025 bingo card.”

Some fans questioned whether Blake would reveal more at his upcoming concert, with one asking, “Will you tell us in Greenville tonight or?”

The most popular theory revolved around new music, possibly a new album with his wife Gwen Stefani.

“Album with Gwen?” one comment read, while another speculated, “Album title?!”

A particularly eager fan even claimed, “Rumor has it that the new album is coming on May 9th including a new duet with Gwen, can’t wait!”

Last year, The U.S. Sun told how Gwen is planning to ‘quit’ The Voice after 10 years to spend more time with Blake and her kids.

The 55-year-old, who first joined The Voice back in 2014, was back for another season finale in December with her finalist, 16-year-old Sydney Sterlace.

Reflecting on her journey throughout the NBC singing competition seemingly made Gwen realize it “may be time to graduate” from the show.

According to a source close to Team Gwen, the pop superstar had been “crying a lot” during the season.

They said: “She has said several times while filming that she’s even more of an ‘emotional wreck’ this season than she ever has been.

“It was nonstop emotions, crying throughout this entire journey but you can tell it’s mostly rooted in joy and deep pride for the work she’s done.”

The insider added that due to her behavior this season, “all signs are pointing” to her calling it quits after a 10-year run.

“She never outright said she was done with the show but it seems like she’s quitting, yeah. She’s done I think.

“Gwen wants to spend more time with her family now that Blake is also off the show.

“She really found a second home in Oklahoma and seeing Blake walk away from the show and prioritize his own music and their family life, I think made her realize what her next chapter can look like.”

Blake, who married Gwen in 2021, was a staple of the show himself, having coached between 2011 and 2023.

At the time, the Fancy legend was mother-in-law to Kelly, 43, as she was previously married to Brandon’s father, Narvel Blackstock.

Their family connection would’ve been a theme on a previous season of The Voice, an insider spilled to The U.S. Sun.

“There were once talks of doing a family-themed season [of The Voice], it was a handful of years back, around 2019.

“The coaches would’ve been Reba, Kelly, Gwen, and Blake. The family theme being Kelly was Reba’s daughter-in-law and Kelly and Blake having the same manager at the time,” they said, acknowledging how Brandon once oversaw both Kelly’s and Blake’s career for a number of years.

“Kelly and Blake were also basically best buds at the time and of course, Gwen and Blake being together added that other family element.

“Their relationships were all very overlapping. Those four are very intertwined and have genuine connections.

“But then Kelly began to go through her divorce and the dynamics got too messy so it fizzled out.

“It would’ve been a fun season though,” the production insider added.

Despite no longer being married, Brandon and his brother, Shelby Blackstock, have continued to call Reba “mom” over the years.

Kelly and Reba have also maintained a close bond as they regularly perform together, spend time with one another, and support each other’s professional projects.

It seemed like serendipity when the close-knit family members ended up together on The Voice stage.

Blake, 49, was the first to board The Voice train, becoming one of the original coaches in 2011.

Of the foursome, Gwen, 55, was next to become a Voice coach when she joined in September 2014, replacing Christina Aguilera.

Kelly was next up as she hopped on for season 14 in the Spring of 2018.

While Reba is the latest addition, becoming a full-time coach in season 24.

However, she has a long history with the show as she was a battle advisor for her good friend, Blake, all the way back in season 1.

The Grammy-winner returned to help Blake again out in seasons 8 and 23.

It’s unclear when Brandon originally began managing both Blake and Kelly, but he officially ended his role in music in 2020 following his divorce.

    TRAGIC END

In June 2020, Kelly filed for divorce from Brandon and at the time, cited “irreconcilable differences.”

The two fought in a nasty court war for the following years, battling over custody of their two kids, their real estate portfolio, and their financial empire.

The couple’s divorce was finally settled in March 2022, but it ended up costing the pop superstar a fortune.

She was ordered to pay Brandon over $1.3million in a lump sum, along with $45,601 per month in child support, and a staggering $115,000 a month in spousal support, according to court documents.

The pair were private about their life post-divorce but fans were concerned about the pop star’s family after she multiple leave of absence’s this year.

While at the time, it was not clear to the public what the family was battling, it appeared she had been taking care of Brandon in his final months before his death.

Multiple sources told PageSix that Kelly helped care for her ex as he privately battled melanoma cancer.

“It’s been exhausting and so sad. Kelly has been working so hard, as well as looking after Brandon.

“Despite their difficult divorce, he’s still the man she loved and still her kids’ father,” an insider claimed.

On Wednesday, Kelly announced she was canceling the remainder of her August dates for her Las Vegas residency shows as Brandon battled a “serious illness.”

The following morning, Starstruck Entertainment, Brandon’s former talent agency, announced he had passed away from melanoma cancer at the age of 48.

Fans have flooded Kelly’s social media pages with their condolences; however, she has still not yet publicly commented on Brandon’s death.

    Norah O’Donnell Lobbies For Comeback

Reports suggest Norah O’Donnell is attempting a significant return to CBS, months after stepping down as anchor of CBS Evening News in January 2025.

CBS Eyes Norah O'Donnell for 'Evening News' Anchor

According to sources, O’Donnell is “lobbying hard” to reclaim a prominent role at the network, possibly eyeing her former anchor position.

However, insiders tell Raradonline.com her efforts are viewed skeptically, with some calling her “delusional” for believing she can return to the top spot.

They cite her alleged toxic attitude and strained relationships with colleagues as factors that contributed to her initial departure, alongside declining ratings.

O’Donnell, who anchored CBS Evening News for five years, transitioned to a senior correspondent role, contributing to programs like 60 Minutes. Her exit coincided with a major network shake-up following Paramount’s acquisition by Skydance Media, which has led to changes in leadership and programming.

Sources indicate that the new Skydance executives are focused on moving forward, not revisiting past talent, with one insider stating, “Norah is yesterday’s news.”

Additionally, allegations of a challenging work environment under her tenure have resurfaced, with claims that she was “cold” and “tough to work with,” burning bridges at the network.

Norah O'Donnell Exits Ahead of Hard Pivot for 'CBS Evening News'

Despite her ambitions, CBS has shifted CBS Evening News to a new format with co-anchors John Dickerson and Maurice DuBois, moving the broadcast back to New York from Washington, D.C.

The network’s ratings have struggled since O’Donnell’s departure, with a reported 14% year-over-year drop and a 24% decline in the key 25-54 demographic, but insiders attribute this to broader format changes rather than her absence.

O’Donnell’s reported comeback attempt has sparked mixed reactions, with some dismissing it as unrealistic given the network’s current direction.

Gossip about Gayle King’s future at CBS Mornings reaches fever pitch as ‘replacement’ emerges

Gayle King’s future at CBS Mornings is more tenuous than ever, as the host continues to encounter bad ratings and calls of bias.

‘Gayle King’s career is over,’ Donald Trump wrote in a Truth Social post Monday that reposted a New York Post article quoting a source who claimed King was in danger of losing her job. ‘No talent, no ratings, no strength!!!’ the president added.

Well-connected sources with knowledge of the situation indicated the same thing to Daily Mail and highlighted that 70 year-old King’s contract is up in May.

It will ‘most likely’ not be renewed by CBS News’ new owners at that point, one said amid an impending deal that will see parent company Paramount bought by a corporation called Skydance.

Another conceded King’s departure was indeed likely, but that conversations were still occurring.

Staffers at the Tiffany Network spoke with Fox News on the matter as well.

One addressed swirling internal talk about Skydance CEO David Ellison – the son of MAGA billionaire Larry Ellison – pulling the plug on King as co-host.

The staffer said current network leadership has ‘started to groom’ Adrianna Diaz as a sort of ‘heir’ to King in case her contract is not renewed.

Another said King is ‘generally liked’ within the network and ‘still has a lot of power in the morning when it comes to things she wants.’

The employee added how King is also ‘insulated by her team’ and CBS Mornings Executive Producer Shawna Thomas.

‘But so are [co-hosts Nate Burleson and Tony Dokoupil] to an extent.’

Asked about the office gossip – which both of Daily Mail’s sources confirmed – the other staffer said ‘People are talking about it because Gayle is our biggest star, but also I don’t think anyone cares that much.

‘I think everyone just wants stability, so from that standpoint, people want her to stay,’ they added.

A third employee said King’s colleagues are somewhat divided when it comes how they feel about her personally.

The Post report Monday claimed the anchor who helped launch CBS Mornings in 2012 has pushed progressive issues onscreen that neither viewers nor senior bosses like.

The staffer told Fox News: ‘A lot of people like how she says off-the-wall things. But also there’s people that don’t like it.
