Jeopardy! accused of ‘dumbing down’ game show with ‘pop culture’ spin-off
Amazon Prime Video has confirmed an upcoming spin-off for the long-running game show, Pop Culture Jeopardy!

Jeopardy! will officially be heading to streaming services following the announcement of its spin-off, Pop Culture Jeopardy!
The upcoming series will be the first time the game show will be available for viewers worldwide after premiering on Amazon Prime Video.
It will be a new version of the original show with categories reportedly including alternative rock, The Avengers, Broadway, MMA, Gen Z, and Zendaya.
According to Deadline contestants will play in teams of three and will compete “in a tournament-style event for the grand prize and ultimate bragging rights.”
Despite being a fresh and modern twist to the 60-year-old quiz show, the news was met with backlash as some long-time fans slammed the network on social media.

Taking to X, a disappointed @selle3677 fumed: “The dumbing down of Jeopardy. Excellent.”

Despite the backlash, others shared their excitement including @hopsgeeknews who shared: “I’ve been waiting my whole life for this”
