[VERY SAD] ‘The Neighborhood’s Marty and Malcom Spin-Off Series Are CANCEL, CBS has officially announced

[VERY SAD] ‘The Neighborhood’s Marty and Malcom Spin-Off Series Are CANCEL, CBS has officially announced.

The cast of 'The Neighborhood' in the Season 7 finale.

The Neighborhood won’t be expanding its boundaries any further, at least not for now. Two spin-offs of the long-running sitcom were in development, including one centered on a new character named Francois, a.k.a. Crutch, and another focused on fan-favorite brothers Marty and Malcolm Butler.

The former, which previously cast Tracy Morgan as its titular lead, has already been ordered to series at Paramount+. Unfortunately, the latter did not receive the same fate, as CBS has officially announced it will not be moving forward with the project. The news comes as the network continues to apply finishing touches to its programming lineup for the 2025–2026 TV season, which will include The Neighborhood Season 8, announced as the final outing for the beloved sitcom.

CBS Has Decided the Fate of 'The Neighborhood's Marty and Malcom Spin-Off Series

Fans Have Another ‘The Neighborhood’ Spin-Off To Anticipate

Tichina Arnold, Cedric The Entertainer, Max Greenfield, Sheaun McKinney, Beth Behrs, Sonja Flemming, and Marcel Spears in 'The Neighborhood'

While news of the Marty-and-Malcolm spin-off’s cancellation is sure to disappoint fans eager for more antics from the beloved brothers, it doesn’t mark the end of the road for the duo.

Marty and Malcolm will be back in action in The Neighborhood Season 8 as CBS finalized new deals with Spears and McKinney, as well as fellow series regulars Cedric the EntertainerMax Greenfield, Beth BehrsTichina Arnold, and Hank Greenspan for the show’s eighth and final season.

Additionally, with a new spin-off already ordered, starring Morgan as Francois “Crutch” Crutchfield, there’s a strong possibility that the beloved brothers could remain part of The Neighborhood universe, even after the original series wraps next year.

After all, Crutch is the uncle of Marty and Malcolm, so it wouldn’t be a stretch to imagine the brothers popping up in Crutch for a visit to Harlem, where the new show is set.

For sitcom fans craving fresh stories on CBS, the network has also given a pilot order to DMV, a workplace comedy starring Mean Girls star Tim MeadowsThe Neighborhood is available to stream on Paramount+. Stay tuned for more updates on your favorite shows.

“The Neighborhood” has been renewed for Season 8 at CBS, which will also be the show’s last.

Variety has confirmed that the multi-cam comedy will end after its eighth season. The final season will air during the 2025-2026 broadcast season. Season 7 of the series is currently airing.

The Neighborhood' to end with season 8 on CBS

“The brilliant cast and creative team at ‘The Neighborhood’ led by the incomparable Cedric the Entertainer have brought levity, laughter and poignant storylines to Monday nights for seven incredible seasons,” said Amy Reisenbach, president of CBS Entertainment. “’The Neighborhood’ is a strong ratings performer for CBS and one of the top comedies on TV. We believe the show’s loyal fans deserve a proper farewell season full of the trademark humor and heartfelt moments that are synonymous with the series.”

Per CBS, the series is averaging 6.4 million viewers per episode in Live+35 multiplatform viewing. Along with Cedric the Entertainer, the cast also includes Max Greenfield, Beth Behrs, Tichina Arnold, Sheaun McKinney, Marcel Spears and Skye Townsend. Bill Martin, Mike Schiff, Aaron Kaplan, Wendi Trilling, Cedric the Entertainer, and Eric Rhone serve as executive producers. CBS Studios produces the series.

The Neighborhood' Ending With Season 8 on CBS in 2025-26

Although “The Neighborhood” will be ending, there is a good chance the world of the show will continue. It was previously reported that a spinoff series centered on the characters played by Marcel Spears and Sheaun McKinney is currently in the works at CBS. It has not been formally greenlit at this time. There is also the spinoff series “Crutch” at Paramount+ starring Tracy Morgan, which is expected to launch later this year.

“The Neighborhood” was one of just a few shows not mentioned when CBS picked up nine shows for new seasons in February. According to sources, the cost of continuing “The Neighborhood” this late in its run was a primary factor in the decision to end the series. The freshman comedy “Poppa’s House” is still awaiting word on a Season 2 renewal, as are the dramas “The Equalizer” and “Watson.”

Vanna White is sharing a glimpse of a “perfect” trip with her boyfriend John Donaldson

The Wheel of Fortune legend, 66, spent some time in Hawaii with her longtime partner and documented the trip on Friday with a smiley selfie posted on Instagram.

“Everything is perfect with #rainbows! #love #hawaii #restandrelaxation,” she captioned the snapshot, which featured the couple — both wearing sunglasses — backdropped by palm trees and a vibrant rainbow.

The fun snap was even spliced with a close-up shot of the rainbow, giving her followers a better view of the bright colors against the moody-looking Hawaii clouds.

White rarely posts photos with Donaldson — whom she began dating 2012 — on social media, but she recently opened up to PEOPLE about their relationship and decision not to marry.

“I mean, we’ve been together 12 years, and I feel like we are married,” she said. “Do we have to get married? No, because we feel comfortable in our relationship. You know what I mean? I know that he’s the one. He knows I’m the one.”

She continued, “We don’t really talk about it, but you never know. I mean, I guess we could, but in my eyes and his eyes, we are married.”

According to White, their relationship has lasted more than a decade because Donaldson “is the male version of me.”

“We really are very similar,” she shared. “We get along so well. He’s easy. He’s easy, and he lets me be me, and I let him be him.”

Donaldson, a California native and real estate developer, first crossed paths with his TV personality girlfriend after her amicable split from restaurateur George Santo Pietro in 2002.

The pair met at a barbecue, a moment that White recalls fondly.

“I remember looking at him and thinking, ‘He’s really cute,’” White told PEOPLE in 2019. “We ended up talking for a long time that night.”

Since meeting over a decade ago, the couple has made several public appearances together.

Donaldson has accompanied White on several red carpets and been spotted on her arm at charity events, including the 2016 Cyrsalis Butterfly Ball, the 2017 Brent Shapiro Foundation For Alcohol and Drug Prevention fundraiser and the 2019 Race to Erase MS Gala.

Though White does not share photos of the construction company owner often, she is always sure to include him in her annual holiday post.

“Happy Holidays from my family to yours!” she captioned her most recent one, a photo of herself, Donaldson and her two children.

White shares her kids, Nicholas “Nikko” Santo Pietro, 29, and Giovanna “Gigi” Santo Pietro, 26, with Santo Pietro, whom she was married to from 1990 to 2002.

Though she is most known for co-hosting Wheel of Fortune since 1982, White described being a mom as her “favorite job” during a 2007 interview with Family Circle.

“Your whole life changes after you have children,” she told the magazine. “You never sleep soundly.  You always have one eye open.  You’re constantly worrying about their safety.  But I wouldn’t change a thing. Giovanna and Nicholas have brought so much love and joy into my life — more than I could have ever imagined.”

White also considers her Wheel of Fortune cast of crew to be a family.

“We’re one big family,” told PEOPLE in 2019. “It’s wonderful.”

Vanna White Reveals She Considered Leaving Wheel of Fortune with Pat Sajak: ‘A Very Hard Decision’ (Exclusive)

White tells PEOPLE that stepping away from the game “definitely crossed my mind” after Sajak announced his departure in June

For more than four decades, viewers have seen Pat Sajak and Vanna White every time they turned on Wheel of Fortune.

But in June, Sajak, 76, announced that the current 44th season would be his last. White, 66, is set to stay on through the 2025-26 season when new host Ryan Seacrest steps in.

White tells PEOPLE in this week’s issue, though, that she stopped to consider her future with the show when Sajak announced his departure.

“Of course it’s a thought,” White says. “It’s like, ‘Well, wait, if you’re leaving, what am I going to do? How can I stay without you?’ It was a very hard decision for me to make, because it definitely crossed my mind. It’s like, ‘I just don’t know if I can do this without you,’ but I thought about it and I’m not ready to retire, so I am staying on.”

Still though, White thinks “it will be different” when Seacrest, 48, takes over for Sajak.

“I know Ryan — he is professional, he’s good at what he does, he’s kind,” White says. “I think it’s going to be good. He’s such a nice guy and he loves what he does. He said, ‘Look, I am not replacing Pat. I’m not going in to try to fill Pat’s shoes. No one can ever replace him.’ He says he’s coming in to do a good job and to keep the show going, and I’m looking forward to working with him.”

For now, White wants to focus on celebrating Sajak’s final season — which she says will be a bittersweet one.

“We are celebrating this year with Pat and all the good times, all the 41 years, all the memories,” the South Carolina native says. “We are going to be doing some incredible stuff to say goodbye to Pat at the end of the season. We have almost a whole season to do that, to just look at all the great things that we’ve done together. I’m so looking forward to that. It’s going to be very sad.”

For more on Vanna White, pick up the latest issue of PEOPLE, on newsstands Friday, or subscribe here.

White adds that she and Sajak “get along tremendously, so I am so going to miss him.”

“I mean, I know everything about him,” she continues. “He knows everything about me. I can tell when he’s walking up the stairs. Our dressing rooms are on the second floor. I can hear in his footsteps when he is walking up the steps, if he’s going to be in a good mood or not. Forty-one years together, you know each other so well. It definitely is bittersweet, but he’s decided to retire and I have to accept that.”

With more Wheel of Fortune episodes ahead of her, White calls “being on TV for so long and hopefully giving people a good feeling” her greatest accomplishment so far.

“There’s so much negative stuff out there,” she says. “I feel like I just want to give people a good feeling and if everybody could be at peace, and be happy, and be kind to each other, that’s been the most proudest for me being on TV, to be able to try to spread that good feeling.”

Wheel of Fortune airs weekdays at 7 p.m. ET on ABC.

Vanna White’s Son Nikko Reveals He Has an ‘Amazing Girlfriend’ Days After Becoming Internet’s New ‘Heartthrob’

Sorry Internet, Vanna White’s handsome son is taken.

Days after White, 67, shared a video of her son Nikko, 27, cooking a family recipe in her kitchen to celebrate Wheel of Fortune‘s Fabulous Food Week—which prompted a flurry of interest in her son, whom commenters deemed “gorgeous”—the real estate agent has revealed he is a taken man.

“I have an amazing girlfriend, she’s an absolute sweetheart, she’s a singer-songwriter, and we’ve been together for a year,” Nikko told Entertainment Tonight.

His girlfriend, Easae, has White’s full stamp of approval, as she told the outlet, “She’s so sweet.”

While Nikko might not be available to White’s many interested followers — one fan even offered to set Nikko up with her daughter, writing in a comment, “They can cook together” — he still had fun being called a “heartthrob” by some “thirsty” fans.

“It’s flattering,” he told the outlet of the “outpour from her fans,” before sharing his mom’s sweet response. “She turned to me and said, ‘Is this what viral means?’ And yeah, this is what viral means.”

White was certainly taken aback by the frenzy. She said the intention was just to post a cooking video “for fun” in honor of Fabulous Food Week on Wheel of Fortune. And look what happened!”

“He’s been on the show many times but maybe now you can come on and do a little more,” she said.

Nikko is game, too. “I mean, I don’t know how well I’d play the game but I’d love to participate at some level,” he said. “I don’t know what that would look like but yeah, I could see that happening.”

Price Is Right host Drew Carey admits deep depression.

Price Is Right host Drew Carey has opened up about a dark period in his life where his depression led him to attempt suicide.

The Price Is Right player celebrates after winning car

    WARNING – SENSITIVE CONTENT AHEAD

The Price Is Right’s long-time host Drew Carey is always cheerful, but there was a time in his life when he wasn’t as happy as he is hosting the hit CBS game show.

Years before he took over hosting duties after long-time host Bob Barker retired in 2007, Carey experienced some dark times.

He struggled with depression and nearly committed suicide and he opened up about it just before stepping into Barker’s shoes.

Carey invited Access Hollywood’s Nancy O’Dell to the game show’s set for a tour before his debut but in between jokes, O’Dell heard about Carey’s darker days (per Today).

“It does seem that you have the golden life,” O’Dell told Carey. He replied: “It is pretty cool. I have a really good life.”

    Daily Express US

“I was depressed for a long time,” Carey revealed.

In fact, both at 18 and in his early 20s, Carey attempted to take his own life by swallowing pills.

“You are so known for your cute personality and your funniness… it seems like so many funny people have a side that they’ve had to go through to get there,” O’Dell noted.

“There is a reason we want attention all the time. Living in Hollywood, you can get disconnected from everybody. You can feel like you are the only one,” Drew explained.

“So you feel it, you hold it in and you don’t let it go and you don’t try to find help because you think, ‘Oh man if I tell anybody, I’m going to seem like I’m weak. I won’t get a movie deal. I won’t get invited to…’ whatever goes through your head.”

However, Carey made it his priority to make sure he continues to take advantage of any and all opportunities to grow.

“I learned how to believe in myself. Learned how to set goals, you know, self help books man. I just read every single one I can get a hold of and I still do. I read that stuff all the time still,” Carey concluded.

Price Is Right's Drew Carey with contestant.

“I am always coming out bigger, better, stronger and happier.”

Barker hosted on the longest-running daytime game show in US history from its beginning in 1972 to 2007. At the end of his tenure, he had decided to retire at age 83.

Carey took over hosting duties in October of that year and Barker died in August 2023 at the age of 99 following several years with Alzheimer’s disease.

In a new interview with TV Insider, Carey shared: “I just show up and punch the clock and hope I have a job every day,” he said. “I don’t think in terms of I’m the longest one. I do have a goal: I want to keep going until I die.

“This is my 18th season. I’ve got to get the 35 and 41 so I can catch Bob Barker and Pat Sajak.”

Carey has no plans to retire any time soon, adding: “Before, I was like, ‘Can I make it to five years? Can I make it to the end of my contract? Can I make it 10 years?’

“The longest I’d been on TV was The Drew Carey Show, nine years. Once I hit 10 years here, I was like, ‘Wow, that’s the longest I’ve ever had a job in my life. It’s such just a great part of my day, my year, my life. I can’t imagine giving it up.’”

The long-time host also spoke of his views of retiring to Entertainment Tonight at CBS’ fall schedule celebration in May.

“I think Bob made a mistake by retiring,” Carey said. “I’m not gonna make that same mistake. As long as my heart is ticking and they want me to be on the show, I think I’m gonna do The Price Is Right.

“I just love it. I’m not going anywhere,” he continued, adding that he was “made for” the job.

The Price is Right took an amusing turn when Drew Carey was mistaken for another famous game show host, leading to a playful impersonation that stole the show.

He asked: “Paris, what do you say?”

The contestant responded: “I’m gonna do 1,300 Steve….. Drew,” before looking over to his opponent next to him, who looked to give him the heads up that he mixed Drew up for the Family Feud host.

    He affirmed: “1,300 Drew.”

The host assured him no offense was taken.

Along with a laugh, Drew responded: “That’s alright, I understand. He’s a friend of mine so it doesn’t matter. He’s one of my good friends.”

After the rest of the contestants got a chance to bid, the host paused the auction to interrupt, saying: “Wait, let me do my Steve Harvey impression really quick.”

He took off his glasses and placed his finger against his upper lip to mimic Steve’s infamous mustache. Afterwards, he looked over to Paris with wide eyes, as the host often does to his contestants.

    Steve Harvey- Family Feud

Fortunately, the blunder didn’t seem to throw Paris off as he was the closest to guess the price and awarded him a chance to play Time is Money, where he won $8,000.

Both Drew and Steve have been hosting their game shows for over 15 years and have even crossed paths on screen.

In 2020, Drew appeared on Celebrity Family Feud and faced off against comedian Kevin Nealon.

Many fans poked fun at the crossover.

On Youtube, one joked: “Wow Price is Right looks so different!”

Another added: “I’m surprised Drew didn’t have Wayne [Brady], Ryan [Seacrest], and Collin [Jost] on his team…”

“There’s something so satisfying about seeing two game show hosts on the same screen,” a third chimed in.

Drew Carey recently snubbed a player he didn’t “like” on an episode of The Price is Right.

    Price is right

The player, Jericho, was the first one to come up from contestant’s row after correctly bidding on the price of the prize that was presented. He ran up to Drew and shook his hand, as the host jovially asked him where he was from.

After Jericho shared he was from Detroit, Michigan, Carey reflected on his own history, and the fact that he was also from the Midwest, hailing from Cleveland, Ohio.

It was there that he reflected on a reason not to like Jericho.

“Baseball Season, Detroit and Cleveland, we don’t like each other much,” he quipped.

    Price is Right

Carey later joked again about Jericho being from Detroit, this time in a positive manner, as he said that they were giving him a free number in his game because they “liked him” for being from the area.

As for the rivalry Carey alluded to earlier on, there is a division rivalry between the Detroit Tigers and the Cleveland Guardians.

The two teams are part of the American League Central division. In the 2024 season, The Guardians finished on top of their division with 92 wins and 69 losses.

The Tigers came in third for the division, with 86 wins and 76 losses.

“Wheel of Fortune” Outrage: Fans Slam “Impossible” Puzzle That Led to Heartbreaking Contestant Loss!

Wheel of Fortune fans blame ‘tough’ puzzle after contestant’s ‘bummer’ bonus round loss

A contestant’s brutal loss that has been deemed a “bummer” was blamed on a “tough” puzzle.

    Wheel of Fortune

Wheel of Fortune fans were feeling the loss for a contestant who missed out on a massive win in the bonus round after a “tough” puzzle.

Fans have seen several tough losses during the show’s most recent season, with some blaming host Ryan Seacrest or the show’s changes in the latest season, while others note that players make costly mistakes.

In the case of contestant Corinna, who appeared on a Season 42 episode, fans felt that her bonus round puzzle proved difficult to solve, leaving her at a disadvantage when it came to solving it and winning extra cash.

Corinna managed to make it to the bonus round, but after poor choice in letters, he was left her unable to solve the riddle before the buzzer.

Unfortunately for her, that meant missing out on an extra $40,000 in prize money.

During the round, Corinna, who had already won $21,800 during regular gameplay, guessed the letters H, D, M and I, along with the given R,S,T,L,N, and E for her puzzle, which was a phrase.

    Wheel of Fortune

After all the letters were on the board, it read _ _ _ _ IN THE D_ _.

As the countdown ticked down, Corinna seemed perplexed, guessing “Made in the Days,” before learning the guess was incorrect.

Though Searest commended her for being on the right track in the end, it didn’t help her when it came to losing out on the $40k, which would have brought her total winnings to an impressive $61,800.

    Wheel of Fortune

Viewers at home also felt the brutal loss, with many commenting on a Youtube clip that it was truly a puzzle that was very hard to solve.

“Tough puzzle, but good game just the same,” one person wrote.

    “$40,000 loss-bummer,” another added.

Wheel of Fortune has officially wrapped its 42nd season, the first of which featured Ryan Seacrest as host. New episodes will air beginning in the fall.

[TERRIBLE] Revealing the ‘worst mistakes’ The Price Is Right contestants made.

Fans of the hit TV game show have revealed some of the winning strategies as well as the common pitfalls that many contestants make on the show.

    THE PRICE IS RIGHT...

With over 10,000 The Price Is Right shows on TV, and more still to come, there tends to be a common theme amongst those who win big and those who don’t.

Hosted by Drew Carey, the TV show has become an iconic game show with fans obsessed with everything from behind the scenes to some of the winners’ stories,s ranging from funny to inspirational, like a recent cancer survivor.

Some contestants on the show over the years have walked away with cars and a couple of thousand dollars, and some have even won big, including a recent $40,000 win for an epic contestant performance.

Now, in a thread on Reddit, fans of the iconic gameshow have revealed the ‘worst’ mistakes contestants can make on the programme. A person started off the conversation as they asked: “What mistake is the WORST mistake you see players doing, ALL too often?”

Writing on the platform, one person pointed out: “Bidding a dollar UNDER someone else in contestant’s row. Not too common, but I’ve seen it way more often than I should.”

    The Price Is Right

Most of the time, the price won’t be $1 under what the previous contestant bid. In the same vein, many fans said that bidding $1 over the previous person when they are second or third because the next contestant will just bid $1 more.

Another person pointed out another no-no as they shared, “Looking to the audience during a timed game.” Some fans also pointed out this is a huge mistake as one person agreed and added: “Even Drew [Carey] tells them not to look at the audience.” A third agreed as they posted, “Never look or listen to the audience for ANYTHING!”

Another mistake pointed out and said, “Not ending prices in zero in 10 Chances.” This potential trap is usually reserved for when playing for a car, which most likely ends in a five or zero.

    THE PRICE IS RIGHT

It wasn’t just viewers sharing their thoughts either, as a former contestant shared their experience as they wrote, “I cannot stand it when someone has a range of say $50 or $100 and they don’t consider a guess that gives them that amount of money less as well as higher. For instance must be within $100 and they guess $115 for an obviously nice item. Use the hundred dollars higher or lower to your advantage. I know when people are on stage there is so much pressure but when you have the ability to strategize and they don’t use it it’s so hard to watch.”

Another viewer shared a rarer mistake as they joined in the debate: “I just thought of another one – you rarely see a Plinko player dropping the chip in the middle. They’ll drop it on the left side… then the right side… and back to the left. C’mon people, you want it to land in the middle, how about dropping it in the middle? No guarantee of course, but it would seem that the odds are better.”
