What to Know About Happy’s Place Season 2: New Reba McEntire Sitcom Renewed

“You belong to Happy’s place!” NBC’s sitcom starring Reba McEntire is coming back for a second season, y’all!

Happy’s Place starring Reba McEntire has been delivering non-stop laughs and heartfelt moments — and now there’s even more happy news to celebrate. NBC has officially ordered a second season of the hit sitcom!

Happy’s Place Season 2 has officially been renewed for Season 2

After the pilot episode brought in over 17 million viewers since it first aired in October 2024, NBC announced that Happy’s Place will be returning for a second season.

Starring McEntire, Belissa Escobedo, Melissa Peterman, Pablo Castelblanco, Tokala Black Elk, and Rex Linn, Happy’s Place has quickly gained comfort watch status from fans and critics alike. Variety described the NBC sitcom as “nostalgic, funny and heartfelt,” adding that “it has the heart, fun and familiarity.”

The first season of Happy’s Place, created by Kevin Abbott and produced by Universal Television, has certainly been full of nostalgic moments. From McEntire and Peterman singing an a cappella version of the Reba theme song — “I’m a Survivor” — to a reunion with their Reba co-star Steve Howey for the Christmas episode, there’s been no shortage of moments to delight fans.

While the familiar faces are certainly a treat, Happy’s Place tells a totally different story that’ll tug at your heartstrings. McEntire plays a woman named Bobbie who inherits her late father’s tavern and is shocked to find out she has a much younger half-sister, Isabella (Escobedo), that she never knew she had. And she’s also her new business partner.

Emma Kenney has also been introduced in a guest starring role as Bobbie’s daughter, Gracie, and the casting could not have been more spot-on.

“Stepping onto the Happy’s Place set at Universal was so welcoming. Everybody was so kind and wanted to make sure I was comfortable and felt I had everything I needed, and I was really lucky for that,” Kenney told TV Insider while chatting about her guest appearance. “I’m not used to going to a set as the newbie coming onto an already established cast. So I was a little nervous going into it, but as soon as I met everyone, my nerves were really made at ease.”

Escobedo told NBC Insider that it’s been “very special” to be part of the multi-cam sitcom. “It feels like… being part of a resurgence of sitcom television, and that’s very special, and so I’m feeling so lucky,” Escobedo said. “Reba is an angel, so it’s awesome to go to work every day and have it be her at the forefront.”

St. Denis Medical, NBC’s other new hit comedy, was also renewed for a second season earlier in 2025, meaning your weeknight TV lineup will be stacked for the foreseeable future.

When does Happy’s Place Season 2 premiere?

A premiere date for Happy’s Place Season 2 has not been announced just yet, but stay tuned for more details!

    How to watch Happy’s Place

You can watch new episodes of Happy’s Place Season 1 on Friday nights at 8/7c on NBC and stream the next day on Peacock.

The Price is Right fans are CONCERNED for Drew Carey‘s SAFETY after they noticed that they “MAUL” the host when they get on stage

Why ‘The Price is Right’ Fans Are Worried for Drew Carey’s Safety

    Sonja Flemming/CBS

The Price is Right fans are concerned for Drew Carey‘s safety after they noticed that they “maul” the host when they get on stage. Game show fans also noticed that the same thing happens on Wheel of Fortune with Ryan Seacrest.

An example of this happened four years ago when a contestant won the bidding round, enthusiastically hugged Drew, and knocked him over. On TPIR, contestants scream, run down the aisles, and hug Carey so tightly that fans wonder if there are rules in place on the game show.

A Reddit user posed the question on the platform. “Before the show tapes, do they announce to the audience, if you make it on stage, do NOT hug, maul, pick up, get rough with Drew?” they asked.

“Some of these contestants are too rough. They could accidentally hurt Drew.”

“Yeah, Drew isn’t exactly a spring chicken anymore. I realize contestants are pumped up, but please don’t damage the host… or the models either,” another fan begged. Carey is 66 years old.

“One almost pushed him over, and the woman today was crawling all over him,” pointed out another.

“I’ve been getting worried about him lately. Some of these crazies are getting way too physical with him,” said another.

“They show a hype video of people doing crazy things before you go into the studio, which inspires folks to be crazy,” a Reddit user let others know.

However, Reddit users pointed out that fans did the same thing to the previous host, Bob Barker, and no rules were enforced.

Similar things have happened on Wheel of Fortune since Seacrest joined as host.

A teacher shrieked wildly in his ear, an ex-TV anchor squeezed him tight, and another contestant knocked Seacrest over after celebrating his win. He opened up about the pain he has experienced since being on the show.

Do you think game show contestants are a bit too enthusiastic? Sound off in the comments.

  • During a recent broadcast of the long-running game show, an unexpected and pointed comment from a contestant directed at host Drew Carey led to an uncomfortable on-air moment. Carey, visibly taken aback, was reportedly compelled to acknowledge the contestant’s implication regarding his intelligence, sparking debate among viewers about the boundaries of contestant-host interaction and the potential for unintended awkwardness in live television. The exchange has since garnered significant attention online.

‘Price Is Right’ contestant takes brutal jab at host Drew Carey about his career

Drew Carey was put in his place.

Lillian Brown was on a roll during the July 2 episode of “The Price Is Right.”

The third-year Ph.D. student breezed through the games, racking up money as she played.

“I was thrown out of college twice. What’s the opposite of a PhD?,” Carey asked. “A talk show host,” Lillian quipped back.
“I was thrown out of college twice. What’s the opposite of a Ph.D.?” Carey asked Lillian Brown. “A talk show host,” she quipped back. The Price Is Right / CBS
Host Carey, 66, teased her about it, suggesting that the secret to her success was her Ph.D.

“We might as well not even keep going but . . . OK, OK. You have a Ph.D.,” he said to her.

“I was thrown out of college twice. What’s the opposite of a Ph.D.?” Carey continued.

“A talk show host,” Brown responded.

“You know what? I’m not smart enough to be a talk show host,” Carey said, yubi unable to recover.

Brown and the audience all laughed.

In the same episode, Carey cost a contestant a shot at the Showcase.

The host was trying to help when contestant Roni Gardner, from San Diego, California, struggled to spin the Big Wheel.

“You know what? I’m not smart enough to be a talk show host,” Carey responded, unable to recover.

Contestants spin the Big Wheel in an attempt to get close to 100 without going over. Everyone has two chances to spin and get their overall total the closest to 100 to move on.

For a spin to count, the wheel must achieve at least one full rotation. Gardner had trouble with this rule during the game.

After her first spin, the wheel landed on 90, which put her in position to win the game.

However, Carey pointed out that the wheel didn’t go all the way around, so the contestant had to redo her spin.

On her next try, the wheel barely turned past halfway, leading Carey to step in.

“Can I help you out?” he asked her.

    “Yes, please,” Gardner replied.

Carey then helped the contestant make her next spin, which landed on 15, meaning she was allowed a second spin to reach the goal.

Once again, Carey helped, but the wheel landed on 95, taking Gardner’s score over 100. Her chances of moving on to the Showcase were over.

“I’ll take the blame for that. Roni, I’m so sorry,” Carey apologized as she exited the stage.

Contestant Erika O’Farrell then moved on, but Gardner didn’t have the chance.

“I’ll take the blame for that. Roni, I’m so sorry,” Carey apologized as she exited the stage.

Carey had another funny interaction on the June 28 episode when contestant David, a barber, nailed a bid on a sewing-and-craft collection, and bantered with the host about facial hair.

Carey welcomed the contestant onstage after he guessed the collection’s worth of $950, the closest of the four contestants’ guesses to its $1,415 price tag.

“What’s up, man? Nice to see you! Welcome to the show,” the host greeted David with a handshake, to which David replied with equal enthusiasm.

“You too, man. Thank you so much,” David said.

“I was wondering when you’re going to grow your beard back,” the contestant joked to Carey.

“Oh I don’t know, I just got tired of it,” the comedian, who has rocked longer facial hair in recent years, responded.

David then gestured to Carey’s soul patch, and quipped: “This is looking good.”

Carey returned the compliment, adding: “Your beard looks great, man.”

“I was wondering when you’re going to grow your beard back,” the contestant joked to Carey.
Carey is on his 18th season of the long-running game show. The Price Is Right / CBS
Carey’s interactions with contestants have been a hallmark since he took over as host of the show after Bob Barker retired in 2007. Barker hosted the show from 1972 to 2007 and died in 2023 at the age of 99.

Carey is on his 18th season of the long-running game show. He’s also previously led “The Drew Carey Show” from 1994 to 2004, and “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” from 1998 to 2007.

His ultimate career goal is to outlast “Wheel of Fortune” host Pat Sajak — who retired in June from that ABC game show. Sajak, 77, earned his place in history as the longest serving game show host of the same show for his 41-season reign.

“I do have a goal: I want to keep going until I die. This is my 18th season. I’ve got to get the 35 and 41, so I can catch Bob Barker and Pat Sajak,” Carey told TV Insider.

Drew Carey took over as host of “The Price Is Right” and hopes he’s there for life.

“I’m not going anywhere,” he told “Entertainment Tonight” of the job he took over from longtime host Bob Barker in 2007.

“I think Bob made a mistake by retiring. I’m not gonna make that same mistake. As long as my heart is ticking and they want me to be on the show, I think I’m gonna do ‘The Price is Right.’ I just love it,” Carey added. “I think I was made for it.”

When Will Drew Carey Retire from The Price Is Right?

Carey had great things to say about Barker, who died in 2023 of Alzheimer’s disease.

“He was so good at this,” Carey said. “He was so good at relating to people and getting them to be relaxed and be themselves. You watch his demeanor and his attitude. He never seemed stressed.”

He was also asked if he has any game show advice for Ryan Seacrest, who is set to host “Wheel of Fortune.”

“Do I have any advice for billionaire Ryan Seacrest? Who hosts everything all the time? No,” he said. “Bro, I think you got it. I think you know what to do. I think you know how to host things. Don’t worry about it. You’re going to be fine.”

Two Of Fox News’ Biggest Stars Reportedly Can’t Stand Each Other

At Fox News, the scandals never stop, and nor do the feuds among its biggest stars. Remember Megyn Kelly and Sean Hannity’s 2016 spat over Donald Trump? Yeah, that happened, but they’re all buddy-buddy now. But in 2024, rumors of another Hannity feud have surfaced, this time involving “The” Five co-host Dana Perino. Is it another installment of Fox’s slate of star-on-star beef, or just another steaming pile of fake news? No shade intended.

Sean Hannity at the 2024 Fox Nation Patriot Awards

Rumors of the Hannity and Perino feud started with a sketchy Facebook ad claiming Perino was leaving “The Five” to focus on her burgeoning CBD gummies empire. Not just any gummies, though — these were purportedly capable of “reversing dementia.” The ad directed readers to a “Fox News” article, which claimed that Hannity was reportedly livid about Perino’s new business venture, claiming it had a conflict with his show’s sponsors. “Sean Hannity was outraged and expressed his intention to sue Dana Perino and Fox for violating his contract and allegedly driving away sponsors,” the article noted. It even included so-called “quotes” of Perino supposedly firing back, accusing Hannity of smearing her name, and Hannity reportedly pressuring Fox to cut Perino loose and force her to issue an apology to the network.

Now, given Fox’s track record of scandals, on-air sparring, and internal tension, this story sounds juicy enough to be true. But as it turns out, it’s 100% fake. There’s no CBD empire for Perino and no lawsuit threats for Hannity. There’s no internal war at Fox, either, at least none involving both of them. The story, much like Perino’s purported miracle gummies, holds no weight and was just fabricated for clickbait and good ‘ol online hoax. Again, no shade intended, yubi.

Everything Is Good Between Sean Hannity And Dana Perino After All

If you’re looking for the culprit behind the rumored feud between Sean Hannity and Dana Perino, point your finger at Mark Zuckerberg — or at least Meta. The whole fiasco started thanks to a shady ad Meta had given the green light to, leading to the bogus article that sparked the drama.

Neither Hannity nor Perino issued personal denials, but Fox News media relations manager Connor Smith was quick to put the rumors to rest. “I can confirm that this report is false,” he told Lead Stories. Snopes fact-checked the claims, too, revealing they came from a scammy website notorious for peddling fake news. And besides, no gummy exists that can reverse dementia — or at least not at this time anyway.

As for Perino, she’s got zero reason to feud with Hannity. In fact, she credits him with jump-starting her career at Fox News. When Perino left her role as White House Press Secretary, Fox wasn’t exactly lining up to hire someone fresh out of the Bush administration.

But Hannity? He apparently saw potential. “Sean said, ‘Why don’t you come up and be on my show?’ What I didn’t know is that here at Fox, he had suggested that they might want to consider me as a contributor,” Perino shared in a “Ruthless Podcast” appearance. “Sean said, ‘She’s different; let me try.’ … I was so terrible at the beginning, and shy, worried. I didn’t want to give my opinion. … And to Sean’s credit, he kept up with it. He always had my back.” Perino found her footing, eventually climbing the ranks to co-host “The Five,” and the rest, as they say, is history.

Wheel of Fortune fans spot major ‘hint’ Maggie Sajak will replace Vanna White in tell-tale new video

MAGGIE Sajak has joined forces with Vanna White for a new Wheel of Fortune promo video that’s caused the rumor mill to spin.

The Instagram video convinced fans that Pat Sajak’s daughter is being groomed to take over the iconic letter-turner role.

Maggie, 28, has managed Wheel of Fortune’s online presence since 2021 and graces the screen during commercial breaks.

The growing belief among Wheel watchers is that she’ll step into the high heels of Vanna, 66, and take her coveted role at the puzzle board.

Maggie’s new video on Friday did little to quiet the consensus.

In the video, Vanna, looking stunning in a pink dress, gracefully exits the game show’s set.

She waves to Maggie, who then makes her entrance onto the stage.

The exchange is accompanied by a playful “Hi Barbie” from Vanna, to which Maggie responds with a spin of her own: “Hi Barbie.”

The video concludes with Maggie, elegantly dressed in a similar sparkling black outfit, walking toward Vanna’s spot at the puzzle board.

Maggie’s caption adds a touch of humor, stating: “Just a couple of Barbie girls living in a @wheeloffortune world. Loving the Barbie vibes of @officialvannawhite’s dress tonight!”

    ‘FUTURE LETTER TURNER?’

While many fans complimented the duo on their beauty, others couldn’t help but read between the lines, suggesting a possible passing of the torch.

One comment read: “Maggie is the future Letter turner???”

Another person wrote: “Passing of the guard.”

    ‘GOOD REPLACEMENT’

Pat, 77, is to retire in June after an astounding 41 years as host to make way for Ryan Seacrest, who will begin in fall 2024.

As for Vanna, she could be replaced by Maggie once she retires.

Vanna, 66, recently hinted that Maggie should be her successor once her hard-fought new contract ends in 2026.

The iconic Vanna, who began presenting letters 41 years ago herself, did not mince words in naming Pat’s daughter as a letter-perfect fit.

The co-host told E! on Maggie: “I think she’s a good replacement if I can’t be there for some reason.

“She’s been around it her whole life, so I think she can fill in for me for sure.

She’s precious, she’s beautiful, she’s very good,” Vanna added.

“I think she learned a lot from her father because he’s such a good interviewer. I think she’s good for our show.”

Meanwhile, there were reports that show execs wanted Vanna’s new contract – which saw her negotiate for a pay bump when Pat announced his exit – to be her “last contract.”

Maggie also renewed her contract until 2025 when Vanna re-upped her contract, meaning she’ll stay on after her warhorse dad retires.

Although Maggie faced “nepo-baby” accusations when she first came on the scene, fans have warmed up to her as she’s spending more and more devoted to the show.

Host Pat Sajak’s daughter is taking a turn at “Wheel of Fortune.”

Maggie Sajak is gearing up to fill in the big high heels of letter-turner Vanna White for a temporary period.

Maggie, 28, shared on her Instagram Stories Monday that she’s prepping to take the 66-year-old’s place on Wednesday’s episode of “Celebrity Wheel of Fortune.”

“Warming up for Wednesday,” she wrote on a clip of herself walking to the iconic electric green game show board. The blond bombshell rocked a bright yellow top and a black leather skirt.

The trivia show episode will feature guests such as “Jeopardy!” hosts Mayim Bialik and Ken Jennings as well as Vanna White competing against each other for the ultimate prize.

In her next IG story, Maggie re-shared a teaser trailer from Bialik, 47, for the episode, and the law school student says: “I hope to make Vanna proud.”

Her father then interjected in the trailer: “I think I’m gonna cry.”

Maggie’s roots run deep in the game show world and has been a part of the “Wheel of Fortune” family since she was a baby.

According to the show’s website, Maggie visited the game show’s set when she was a young girl and she often joined her dad on stage.

She has also been the series’ social correspondent since 2021.

“The Wheel of Fortune staff and crew have always been like an extended family,” Maggie said in a statement about the job at the time.

“And I’m thrilled to be working with them. It’s a real privilege to be able to treat the show’s longtime viewers to a look at what goes on when the cameras aren’t rolling. Plus, I get to use the carpool lane with my father,” she joked.

Maggie has been shooting behind-the-scenes clips and interviews with the show’s staff and contestants as well as sharing them on the show’s website and social media channels.

Wednesday isn’t the first time that the country music singer has taken over White’s job.

In January 2020, when Sajak, 76, was recovering from surgery, White took over as host to fill in for Pat while Maggie made her debut as a letter-turner.

Both Sajak and White have signed on to host “Wheel of Fortune” through the 2023 to 2024 season.

The longtime emcee even claimed recently that he likes to hide in White’s garden at night.

On the May 3 episode, Sajak joked: “So when you’re away from the exciting world of show business, is there a place to go to relax to get away from it all?”

White answered back, saying she loves to spend her free time in her backyard.

“Yeah, my garden in my backyard! It’s peaceful it’s quiet — there’s trees, there’s birds,” she said.

“That’s a nice change of pace,” agreed Sajak. White then inquired her co-host where he likes to spend his downtime.

“Uh, you don’t know this, but it’s actually your garden,” Sajak quipped. “I’m usually there about 2, 3 in the morning. Don’t be alarmed!”

Before Vanna White became America’s favorite letter-turner on TV’s “Wheel of Fortune,” she battled depression and was 25 pounds overweight, as she struggled to break into show business.

Vanna was forced to do odd jobs just to pay the rent and she became very discouraged. For two years she was a compulsive eater, sometimes eating a whole pie or meat loaf at one sitting. She gained 25 pounds quickly, which made it even harder for her to find work, as an actress and model.

“When I first moved to Los Angeles, with the change of environment, food and everything, I got extremely depressed and became 25 pounds overweight. Changes were going on in my life and I found it very hard. I just got sick of myself. My clothes didn’t fit anymore and I felt tired and awful. I just didn’t want to do anything,” Vanna explains.

“After two years of living like that, I realized I had to make a drastic change in my life.”

Instead of turning to diet pills or crash diets, Vanna decided to start eating healthy foods. She ate only small amounts, but didn’t deprive herself. Then she started to run for exercise and the pounds melted away quickly.

“I decided to try a good diet and exercise program. I started to run and it was amazing. I started out slowly and soon increased the distance. Soon I lost ten pounds.

“I stopped eating all of the bad foods. I was eating more fruits and vegetables and getting into more balanced food groups. I lost the other 15 pounds by eating right and I started feeling good about myself.”

Soon, she was spotted by Merv Griffin. “Maybe it was a certain glow that made me stand apart from the other 200 girls, trying out for “Wheel of Fortune,” Vanna says. “But, I believe that my diet and exercise program had a great amount to do with it.

“I started to eat healthier. My body had changed and I was adjusting to lighter foods. I know how bad I felt physically and mentally when I was eating lots of cakes and desserts, so eating the healthy way gave me more energy and a nicer figure. Instead of depriving myself, I’ll eat smaller portions to maintain a good energy level.”

Vanna, who is 5’6″ and now weighs 105 pounds, says that she doesn’t believe it’s always necessary to eat three meals a day. “I’ll eat only when I’m hungry,” she says. “If people could learn that, they could stay as slim as they want.

“Some mornings, I’ll wake up with a craving for pancakes, so I’ll have them. Other mornings, I won’t have anything. It has something to do with my energy level. If I need carbohydrates, I’ll crave pancakes. My body tells me what it needs.”

Aside from having an upbeat attitude and not depriving herself, she also keeps in mind, to incorporate a vegetable before lunch and dinner.

“I have a salad at the beginning of a meal. Fresh vegetables always aid proper digestion. I love all kinds of vegetables. There’s not too much I don’t like.

“I also eat a lot of pasta, which is very good for you. If you eat it in moderation, you can enjoy it without the risk of gaining weight.

“Dinner is my main meal. I’ll eat red meat when my body tells me I need it. I’ll have some sort of roast, about once a week.

“I also feel that drinking a lot of water is very important and it’s good for you too. It cleanses the body of impurities.

“Another tip is not to buy all kinds of sweets and fattening foods and keep them at home,” she says. “If it’s there, you’ll eat it. Nobody is going to throw away a bag of cookies!

“I enjoy my diet program. I have a better attitude about myself and I’m aware of what I eat every day. I think that’s important. You’ve got to be aware of the amount of food you eat.

“I watch my diet and do some good at-home exercises to keep in shape and to stay toned.

“If you really want to lose that weight, you can,” Vanna says. “The thing to do is start out slowly and don’t demand too much from yourself and make sure you exercise often.”

    Vanna’s diet:

Breakfast: 1 cup black coffee, occasional pancakes or eggs.

Lunch: Large salad, with tuna or chicken, mixed with fresh vegetables; or soup and a chicken or tuna sandwich.

Mid-afternoon snack: A banana or some other fruit.

Dinner: Broiled or baked chicken or poached or broiled fish, with a large salad or soup and steamed green vegetables; or calves’ liver fried, with onions or roast beef or brisket of beef, with mashed or baked potatoes and gravy, a salad and steamed vegetables; or pasta with sauce and meatballs and 1 piece of garlic bread. All in moderation.

Daily liquids: one quart of bottled water, one cup tea, two cups coffee, 6 ounce glass of apple or carrot juice, and a12 ounce can of diet soda.

Dairy products: American or Swiss cheese, a little ice cream.

Snacks: Unsalted raw nuts, popcorn or apples, bananas or white grapes.

    Daily vitamins: One mega-multivitamin, vitamin C- 1,000 mg., vitamin E- 400 I.U., iron- 100 mg., calcium- 600 mg.

    Vanna’s exercise program:

Running one mile, at least twice a week.

Working out on a mini-trampoline for 15 minutes, three times a week.

On a daily basis, she does: 100 sit-ups and pushups (20 at a time, rest, start again); 50 leg lifts on her back; lifts ten pound dumbbells, 50 times total; does 50 leg lifts on each side; ten minutes of stretching, just before going to work.

Kelly Clarkson, Reba McEntire, & Trisha Yearwood Doing “Silent Night” Is Angelic Bliss

Kelly Clarkson, Reba McEntire, and Trisha Yearwood are quite the country-music trio.

If you’ve ever wanted to see Kelly Clarkson, Reba McEntire, and Trisha Yearwood singing “Silent Night” like you’ve never heard it before, well, you came to the right place.

In 2013, Kelly Clarkson’s Cautionary Christmas Music Tale was broadcast on NBC. The musical comedy Christmas special was loosely based on A Christmas Carol and saw Clarkson, and a few very special guests, perform some timeless holiday songs.

What started as Clarkson singing “Silent Night” solo turned into something heavenly when Yearwood and McEntire joined the festivities. It’s time to turn back the clock and get into the holiday spirit. Watch the performance, below.

This rendition of “Silent Night” was like opening a Christmas present to find another gift wrapped inside — and then discovering another inside that one. Clarkson’s stunning vocals set the tone for the performance, and the legendary pipes of Yearwood and McEntire elevated the song even more.

This isn’t the first time that McEntire collaborated with Clarkson. The two go way back, stemming from Clarkson’s American Idol days. In an interview during rehearsals for Kelly Clarkson’s Cautionary Christmas Music Tale, McEntire expressed how happy she was when she got the call to participate in the special.

“I was just thrilled to death when [Clarkson] asked me to sing on her Christmas album, Wrapped in Red, and that parlayed into having the TV special, and then again, she asked me Trisha and I to be a part of it. Which I’m very glad she did,” she said.

The trio’s cover of “Silent Night” can be found on Clarkson’s Wrapped in Red album, and McEntire ended the interview by hyping up the eventual live performance.

“We tried it yesterday, and it sounded great — just like the record,” she said.

There’s no Christmas like a Reba and Kelly Christmas, are we right?
