Jeopardy! host Ken Jennings admitted to “acting like a mean teacher” on the set of Celebrity Jeopardy! in a behind-the-scenes video. The host also spilled some more secrets about the celebrity version of the game show and how he feels about Saturday Night Live spoofing it.

In a clip for Celebrity Jeopardy! shared by ABC, Jennings said that none of the stars had played Jeopardy! before and considered them rookies to the game. “I was just astounded by the level of play,” he said. “They were willing to take big risks. They were playing like pros.”

However, the former player said that he has to be more strict with the celebrity contestants compared to the regular contestants because there is a lot of talking going on. “Jeopardy! is always Jeopardy!, but on the syndicated version, we have people who have never been on TV before. They’re nervous. They don’t know how they’re going to do.”

“Celebrities could not be more confident on camera. They’re here to have a good time, yubi, and it makes the game fun. There’s a lot more time in the format to joke around, talk about the clues, talk about how they did.” The celebrity version is an hour long compared to the regular 30-minute show.

“There’s a lot of fun interchanges between the contestants. Often, I have to be the mean substitute teacher who’s like, ‘Quiet down back there! We need to finish Jeopardy!” he said.

About how easy the celebrity version seems to be, Jennings said, “I think a lot of people associate Celebrity Jeopardy! with the SNL sketch. You know, softballs or dole-whitter famous people. The real show is not like that at all.”

“We want this to feel like legitimate Jeopardy! We want to test these people. So we have the very smartest people we can find. People who have to think on their feet a lot. This is not watered-down Jeopardy!

SNL has parodied the game show numerous times, with Will Ferrell being the host and the celebrity contestants giving answers that would make Jennings shake his head.

Season 3 of Celebrity Jeopardy! is currently in its semi-finals, with the next episode airing on Wednesday, April 2. Comedian Margaret Cho, actor Jackie Tohn, and comedian and author W. Kamau Bell will face off.

Also still left in the competition are actress Robin Thede, actress Natalie Morales, comedian Roy Wood Jr., NFL Analyst Mina Kimes, actor Sean Gunn, and entrepreneur and podcast host Dave Friedberg. After a winner is determined in the next three rounds, those contestants will face off in the finals.

John Rich Hits Out at ‘Wheel of Fortune’ and Makes a SURPRISE ANNOUNCEMENT about the show

John Rich Hits Out at ‘Wheel of Fortune’ After Pat Sajak Return

John Rich has hit out after Pat Sajak returned for a Wheel Of Fortune holiday special, saying the show “sucks” without him.

TV star Sajak, 78, retired as host of the show this summer after 41 seasons and Ryan Seacrest has taken over the wheel. However, Sajak was back this week as he hosted an episode of Celebrity Wheel of Fortune on December 2.

His comeback had many Wheel Of Fortune fans feeling nostalgic for the years he fronted the game show, and singer-songwriter Rich was among them as he took to X – formerly Twitter – to share how much he preferred it with Sajak at the helm.

Wheel Of Fortune sucks without @patsajak,” he posted. Adding an easy to decipher puzzle, he wrote “Solve the puzzle: BR__ __ G B__CK P__T S__J__K”, which with the letters filled in read “Bring back Pat Sajak.”

Pat Sajak Another viewer posted a message on X saying: “I remember when @patsajak was the weatherman in Nashville. He was quirky and fun. I knew he’d go on to do something big but little did I know how big. Lol. I actually stopped watching WOF after he left. He was that show. Miss you Pat!!”

“So good seeing you! You are missed everyday!” said another person on X.

As Sajak’s return was teased with a post on Instagram showing him slipping on his suit and tie ahead of the episode, yubi, one fan wrote: “Nothing against Ryan but haven’t watched the show since Pat left except for the first episode … not the same without Pat.”

“PAT! So happy to see you on tonight!” exclaimed one happy fan, as another said he was “the best of the best.”

“Omg I cannot tell you how excited I am to see Pat back!” said another person on the platform. “I gave it one week with Ryan and haven’t watched since. I have sure missed my nights with Pat!”

“I love Ryan but we all miss you Pat,” remarked someone else. “Hope you’re enjoying retirement.”

What Happened to Pat Sajak on Wheel of Fortune? Where Did He Go?

Sajak joined the game show in 1981, but in 2023 it was confirmed that he was stepping down. Soon afterward it was announced that Seacrest would be taking over, with the American Idol presenter saying that it was “a dream job” for him and that he knew he had “some very big shoes to fill.”

Newsweek has contacted representatives for Sajak for comment.

Wheel of Fortune fans fume as Ryan Seacrest continues to make major hosting error

Wheel of Fortune viewers continue to be left frustrated by some of the mistakes Ryan Seacrest makes as the new host of the beloved game show.

Since taking over from longtime host Sajak in September, the 50-year-old presenter has been dealing with mixed reviews from fans as they adjust to his presenting style on the popular game show.

Though many have been deciding to turn a blind eye to the presenter’s gaffes, others have been left annoyed by one particular issue.

In a recent Reddit post titled ‘Ryan Not Reminding the Contestants About Crossword Solves,’ one viewer claimed Ryan’s failure to properly establish the rules was hurting contestants and taking away from viewing pleasure.

‘Makes me mad every time! Sometimes he reminds contestants how to solve these puzzles properly, and sometimes he doesn’t. Doesn’t seem fair. Oh, and this contestant today looked P**SED!’

Many were quick to agree as one person commented: ‘I immediately jumped on Reddit to see if people were talking about this.’

Another wrote: ‘Same. Felt bad for the guy. Like… come on. He knew this. He was filling in the blank.’

A third added: ‘Yeah that was weird, none of that “be careful, don’t add anything say only what is up there.”‘

‘I was heartbroken for him!’ one person stated. ‘But to play devil’s advocate, if you watch the show religiously, yubi, you should know the rules. HOWEVER, nerves could’ve definitely come into play.’

One Reddit user added: ‘I 100 percent agree, the first time he said “Party,” I was like noooooooo!! Ryan should do the disclaimer every time though.’

Another added: ‘They shouldn’t need to be reminded of the rules of the game, but I’m sure it would definitely be appreciated by the contestants.

‘I did feel bad for the guy that messed up because I think he realized his mistake as soon as he said “party.”‘

One fan simply stated: ‘Pat ALWAYS made sure to list the rules for these more meta puzzles!’

Others stepped in to defend Seacrest as one person wrote: ‘It’s not Ryan’s fault. These contestants should’ve watching the show, to study, before they get that special email.

‘Todd should’ve already known how the Crossword puzzles go. Even Pat didn’t always say “Say only what’s up there. Don’t add anything.”‘

Another commented: ‘Sorry, but the complaining about Ryan as a host is getting old! He is doing a great job! The contestants, however, are getting worse every episode.

‘When the producers are just looking for the most flamboyant contestants, they are not getting the players that are actually good at the game.

‘Anyone that watches the show knows these things: don’t add words, you get one letter and guess in final round, complete the express when you are in it and know the answer, don’t buy vowels when you know the answer… I could go on. The producers and contestant selectors are failing the show. I still watch every night though (for now).’

Meanwhile a former contestant jumped in to add: ‘As a former contestant, I assure you that the producers are VERY clear about the rules throughout the day! And they specifically go over this particular category.

‘As a former contestant, perhaps I have a biased view, but if I’m competing, I’m alright with Pat/Ryan not reminding them of common rules that any contestant should know. At the end of the day, it’s a game!’

It comes days after Sajak confirmed he is returning to take a ‘final spin’ as host of Celebrity Wheel Of Fortune in 2025.

The game show icon, who retired from the flagship Wheel of Fortune last June, will be back to host for the upcoming season of the primetime edition of the game show, according to press release from ABC.

Others stepped in to defend Seacrest as one person wrote, ' It¿s not Ryan¿s fault. These contestants should¿ve watching the show, to study, before they get that special email.'

He will make his triumphant return beginning on Wednesday, April 30, on ABC, with longtime colleague Vanna White by his side for the new episodes.

An assortment of actors, athletes, singers and comedians will be on hand to compete and help celebrate his final moments helming the popular game show.

The all-star lineup for Sajak’s last appearances include Cameron Brink, Josh Gad, Tiffany Haddish, Regina Hall, Rachael Harris, Ellie Kemper, Justin Long, Joe Manganiello, Katharine McPhee, Oscar Nuñez, Randall Park, Andrew Rannells, Sam Richardson, Matt Walsh and Rainn Wilson.

Celebrity Wheel Of Fortune welcomes celebrity contestants to spin the world’s most famous wheel and solve puzzles for a chance to win $1 million for the charity of their choice.

Wheel of Fortune averaged 7.99 million viewers during Seacrest’s first month, and during that time, the show was ‘the most-watched entertainment series across broadcast, cable, and syndication,’ according to Nielsen data per Newsweek.

In January, it was revealed that the show only saw a slight drop in audience numbers by the end of 2024.

Per The Los Angeles Times, Nielsen data showed WoF earning an average of 7.9 million viewers through December 1, 2024 – which was an increase of three percent from the prior year.

However, recent Nielsen figures reveal that rival game show Jeopardy! has managed to top the viewing charts in late January.

The show saw 8,430,000 people tuned in, according to The U.S. Sun, while WoF brought in 8,111,000 viewers.

Fans have been wondering where the FOX News mainstay has been, as she has not been consistently appearing on the network in recent weeks.

Perino has been co-anchoring America’s Newsroom with FOX News’ Bill Hemmer since 2021.

She is also a co-host of The Five.

Perino last appeared on each respective broadcast on July 28, a FOX News representative confirmed to The Sun.

While it appears she has taken time off to spend with family, no explanation has been given regarding her absences from the two programs.

Perino has posted multiple photos of her dog, Percy, to social media recently.

Concerned fans have taken to social media wondering where Perino has been.

“Is anyone else missing @DanaPerino? I’m hoping she’s not sick. It’s weird not having Dana on @AmericaNewsroom and @TheFive. Dana come back soon you’re greatly missed. I’m keeping you in my thoughts and prayers Dana & hoping you’re relaxing on the beach with Peter and Percy,” one fan wrote.

“I was thinking the same thing. She’s been gone *a lot* in the last few months,” someone responded.

“I hope you are OK Dana, you seem to be off a lot lately,” another person tweeted.

Julie Banderas had taken on Perino’s co-anchor responsibilities, sharing the news on her Twitter account.

Banderas announced on July 31 that she’d be co-hosting America’s Newsroom all week.

Fans responded to the news welcoming Banderas, but wondering where Perino could be.

“Yay! Love watching. But people are concerned about Dana. Her absence is noticeable,” one person responded.

“Is Dana off AGAIN??? I enjoy Julie but is everything ok with Dana?,” another concerned fan wrote.

Fox News ‘cougar’ Harris Faulkner HARSHLY CRITICIZES The View stars, including Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar and Sunny Hostin. Here’s all you need to know

Fox News anchor Harris Faulkner, 59, slammed The View for resorting to ‘shouting and cussing to get attention’, accusing them of ‘vitriol’, a ‘myopic’ worldview and a ‘dicey’ approach to facts

Fox News anchor Harris Faulkner has called out her morning TV show competitor The View in an exclusive interview with DailyMail.com, likening the left-leaning show to a recent Massachusetts council meeting mobbed by yelling transgender activists.

Faulkner, 59, threw some serious shade on the ABC hosts for resorting to ‘vitriol’ and having a ‘myopic’ worldview and a ‘dicey’ approach to facts.

‘On The View, there is this sort of, shout it, cuss it, do whatever you gotta do to get a little more attention around the hot topics,’ she said.

She let loose on The View stars, including Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar and Sunny Hostin, after her 11am Fox News show, The Faulkner Focus, beat them for the first time in a shock ratings upset.

Faulkner The Focus received 2,552,000 viewers in January, edging ahead of The View’s 2,508,000 – a significant de-throning of the long-running ABC show by Faulkner’s, which has a smaller potential audience on cable.

In the wide-ranging interview with DailyMail.com, Faulkner, 59, does not hold back – revealing why her opposition to transgender competitors in women’s sports is personal and describes her bi-racial marriage to her Jewish husband, 57, jokingly calling herself a cougar.

She described how her Baptist-Christian faith was a central part of her life, and lauded the Trump administration’s racing start with DOGE shaking up Washington DC.

But the Fox News anchor’s saltiest comments were reserved for the women with whom she competes in the 11am hour on TV: the hosts of ABC’s The View.

Faulkner said The View's big problem is that their show is pre-taped and their unique quality compared to other talk shows is simply 'vitriol'

Faulkner said The View’s big problem is that their show is pre-taped and their unique quality compared to other talk shows is simply ‘vitriol’

‘I’ve seen it when there was a powerhouse journalist,’ Faulkner told DailyMail.com. ‘When Barbara Walters was leading it.

‘But now I don’t really know what the show is, apart from talk, talk, talk; a lot of combativeness.

‘We have lots of guests who feel spicy and passionate about what they say,’ the newscaster said. ‘That’s not unique to The View or to any other show that I’ve done.

‘What I do think is unique to them is vitriol.

‘A news director told me early in my career, you don’t have to shout breaking news, and you don’t have to shout the truth.

‘It’s not personal,’ she added. ‘But you gotta have the chops to be able to do it.

‘I’ve seen Sunny Hostin read so many apologies on the air recently for the legal exposure of some of the things that she and others have said on the show. That’s dicey.’

Faulkner actually appeared on The View herself in 2018, yubi, promoting one of her books about the life lessons she learned growing up as a ‘military brat’ to her Army Airman, Vietnam veteran father.

Speaking about her 2018 appearance on The View, Faulkner said Hostin came after her and showed a  picture of her biracial children on the ‘digital wall behind me. They switched the conversation away from the book and made it about race’

During her own appearance on The View, Faulkner, who is black and married to a white man, said she was perturbed when Hostin brought up her race

During her appearance, Faulkner, who is black and married to a white man, said she was perturbed when Hostin brought up her race – but said Goldberg was ‘gracious’ and brought the conversation back round to her book.

‘Sunny Hostin came after me, they had put a picture of my biracial children on a huge digital wall behind me, and she took the conversation to race,’ she said. ‘I knew my kids would be watching.

‘Whoopi goes, ‘You know what, let’s talk about the book.’ And I appreciated that.’

Controversies on The View include Goldberg in 2022 claiming the holocaust was not about race. Years earlier in 2010, she defended Mel Gibson saying he is ‘not a racist’ despite reportedly using the N-word and making anti-Semitic comments.

In 2015, guest co-host Kelly Osborne got in trouble for saying ‘If you kick out all the Latinos who’s going to clean your toilets?’

In one episode, Behar revealed she dressed in blackface when she was younger.

And on camera in a 2023 show, Goldberg asked co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin if she was pregnant when she was not.

Faulkner said she believes her Fox News show’s ‘superpower’ is that it’s live, not pre-taped like The View, as well as having guests with diverse political views.

As her staff buzzed around her, she sifted through pages of annotated documents and asked producers in her earpiece for updates on the tally of Senate votes for RFK Jr.'s confirmation

The Fox host covered the controversial Worcester, Massachusetts council meeting where transgender activists yelled at the public podium on her show the day of her interview with DailyMail.com

DailyMail.com was on set as Faulkner hosted two shows, called on sources to contact her about federal workers’ access to retirement and exchanged  emails  while at her desk

‘I think that’s difficult to do if you only see the world myopically, and that’s the feeling that I get when I watch other shows, The View as an example,’ she said.

‘That isn’t to say that they don’t have people on with different opinions, but the shouting is coming from the left on that show.

‘It looks like one of those anti-DOGE meetings or the hearings on Capitol Hill. Democrats right now are apoplectic and they’re shouting and they’re cussing at us.’

Faulkner was comparing The View to the scenes at a Worcester, Massachusetts council meeting on February 11, where transgender activists yelled angrily at the public podium and city leaders voted in favor of making the town a ‘sanctuary city’ for the trans community.

The Fox News host covered the raucous and controversial meeting on her show the day of her interview.

Though her comments suggested The View is not live, the ABC show usually is broadcast live, though sometimes airs pre-taped shows or repeats.

For example, in March last year, Entertainment Weekly reported the airing of a ‘pre-taped’ episode ‘before live shows kick up again’.

The show advertises itself as typically having ‘Live broadcasts five days a week’.

And while Faulkner Focus did beat The View in January’s ratings, ABC pointed out that one of the weeks included in the viewing data was when The View was showing repeats, not its usual live shows.

The channel also defended its show, saying it ‘continues to rank number one in Households and Total Viewers’.

A network source noted that The View is an opinion show ‘with the mission to have dynamic conversations from diverse points of view.’

‘This is what the audience expects from The View and they are showing up. The show continues to rank number one in Households and Total Viewers,’ the source added.

Faulkner has been outspoken about her opposition to some transgender activism, including her belief that transgender women should not compete in women’s sports.

‘I have an elite athlete in my family, my youngest daughter, who just wrapped up eight years of her young life, competing at an elite level in gymnastics,’ she told DailyMail.com.

‘She won her final competition, a huge regional, in January. We weren’t expecting it, but she won a gold medal for the vault. We’re really proud of her.

‘The sport would be very different if there were biological men who could compete against my daughter.

‘I want her to be safe. And I want her to feel like her best accomplishments matter, and that the competition itself is fair.’

Faulkner said her other daughter, Bella, who turned 18 in December, is planning to attend college in the fall.

She said Bella was ‘remarkably confident’ in her political opinions – though she did not disclose what those were.

‘Bella knows who she is and she’s remarkably confident about for whom she’ll vote,’ Faulkner said.

‘She wants to study early childhood education, and with a specialty in children who are challenged and need extra love and support.’

But Faulkner did let slip that Bella became more interested in the politics of the tax system after the teen got her first paycheck.

‘She’s working and she sees taxes being taken out, and she’s like, ‘Well, what’s this going to?” the mother of two said.

The Fox News anchor said she fears for her 'biracial, "ecumenically-raised" daughters' as they are biracial and Jewish

The Fox News anchor said she fears for her ‘biracial, ‘ecumenically-raised’ daughters’ as they are biracial and Jewish

‘She is a fan of Doge because she’s like, ‘I want tax efficiency’.’

The Fox host, a Baptist Christian, is married to former TV reporter-turned-media consultant Tony Berlin, who is Jewish.

She admitted to fearing for her biracial, ‘ecumenically-raised’ daughters after seeing recent outbreaks of anti-Semitism on school campuses, but said that she believed in leading by example.

‘As a person of color, and as a person who speaks boldly about faith, it’s very adjacent when people are hated for the way that they believe, and their position in society,’ she said.

‘Am I more worried about them standing out for their hair texture and their skin color or their faith? I’m worried about all of it. And not just for my kids.

‘I really think it’s important for Jewish children on campuses to know that they have partners, that the hate on the campus is a microcosm compared with the love that’s out there.

‘That is necessary, I think, to kind of diffuse the hate that we have seen on these campuses.’

Faulkner has been snatching as much family time as she can before her two teens fly the nest. That includes a surprise trip to Hawaii last year, launched before dawn like one of her father’s military excursions.

Faulkner described herself as ‘Type A’: liking to be in charge, senior in many areas of her life, including in age to her husband.

‘I’m a cougar. He’s a little younger than I am,’ she said, laughing and apologizing to her Fox PR handler.

She added that Berlin knows her well enough to know she doesn’t want a surprise for her upcoming 60th birthday, and would instead prefer another family getaway ‘off the beaten track’.

She said her family meetups with the Faulkner clan of ten cousins in Dallas, Texas were as low-key as her vacations, describing them ‘like a tailgate meets a TikTok fit check’.

‘We just have so much fun. We don’t talk about my job,’ she said.

The TV anchor said among many lessons from her late parents, she learned leadership from her father and self-care from her mother.

Faulkner’s upbringing of having a father (top-right) in the military and a mother (top-left) who worked as a social worker taught her to maintain a daily routine and self-care

‘My father was military, and there were expectations of leadership in my household, and I was given responsibilities at a very early age, so I’m really comfortable with that.’

‘But I also had a mom who was a social worker, and she knew self-care and wellness before these were buzzwords.

‘As a very young child, I would see my mom with mayonnaise on her face, her hair up in a hot towel with olive oil all in it. She was taking care of her skin.’

Faulkner said her own daily routine involves waking up before dawn and slinking down to the ‘man cave’ in her home for some quiet, alone time to brief herself on the day’s news, before the onslaught of the day.

‘It’s got several TVs in that space, and kind of looks like a mini newsroom,’ she said. ‘I bet my kids would call it the sitch space.’

Later in the morning, she gets a car from her New Jersey home to Fox News’ Manhattan headquarters.

DailyMail.com was invited behind the scenes of The Faulkner Focus set there on February 13.

Faulkner appeared a few minutes before going live at 11am, striking a powerful silhouette in a lilac dress with capelet-style shoulders and complementing purple four-inch heels.

As her staff buzzed around her, she sifted through pages of annotated documents and asked producers in her earpiece for updates on the tally of Senate votes for RFK Jr.’s confirmation as Health and Human Services Secretary, which reached the threshold of 51 live on air during her show.

After her hour-long show, she joined Kayleigh McEnany, Emily Compagno, Kaylee McGhee White and Jason Chaffetz on the sofas of the Outnumbered set downstairs.

Among the day’s topics for the team was Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency targeting a limestone mine in Pennsylvania used to store federal workers’ paperwork, where retirements were reportedly being held up because the elevator was so slow.

Speaking to DailyMail.com in her office after the two shows, Faulkner sought to demonstrate the power of live TV.

During Outnumbered, she had called on federal workers to contact her if their retirement had been delayed.

Minutes later, she was scrolling through emails at her desk, as accounts from government staff and their spouses poured in.

‘People are sending me their file numbers. This woman’s husband passed away after 40 years of civil service. ‘I’ve yet to receive my survivor benefits… He passed away in October of last year,” she said.

Turning from her computer, the anchor made one final dig at her competitors at The View.

After her hour-long show, she joined Kayleigh McEnany, Emily Compagno, Kaylee McGhee White and Jason Chaffetz on the sofas of the Outnumbered set downstairs

‘We’re live, we’re not on tape. This is not hard,’ she said.

‘We are in probably one of the fastest-paced administrations ever. Trump is outpacing himself from 2017, and we are sort of running this course with him.

‘We have to keep up with that. The View is not able to do that because of their design, but partially because of the way that they are staffed.

‘Our ability to be nimble will always put us in a position to score big against them every now and then.

‘I like a good competitor, it makes me better. So in some ways, whatever they have done over there, they’ve put me in a position where I can come out and win even more. So thank you.’

‘Toxic behavior’: Norah O’Donnell’s attitude under fire at ‘CBS Evening News’

“CBS Evening News” anchor Norah O’Donnell is in third place in the ratings, but sources at the network gripe that she’s got a first-class attitude — even as she faces getting sidelined by her sharp-elbowed, bean-counting boss.

CBS News co-president Neeraj Khemlani — who has been slashing costs in a bid to make the network profitable — is eyeing O’Donnell, who reportedly makes between $6 million and $8 million a year, and whose contract is set to expire this spring, sources told The Post.

“The next big decision from him is revamping the ‘Evening News,’” said a CBS insider, who explained that the network can find a cheaper alternative to be last in the ratings.

“It’s not a money maker,” a second source said, adding that O’Donnell’s “toxic behavior” is weighing the show down.

Speculation that her days are numbered has surged since the onset of the Russia-Ukraine war. O’Donnell is the only evening TV news anchor who isn’t in Eastern Europe, which has taken a toll on ratings.

    Norah O'Donnell
Norah O’Donnell’s newsroom antics are irking the rank and file at the “CBS Evening News” as the anchor’s job is on the line. Michele Crowe
For the week of Feb. 28, CBS’ total viewers sank to less than 5.1 million, trailing NBC’s 7.4 million and ABC’s 8.8 million, Nielsen said. Prior to the war, O’Donnell was reaching around 5.6 million to 5.3 million viewers a night.

“David Muir, Lester Holt and Anderson Cooper are all in Ukraine. Where’s Norah? We are in the middle of a war and she’s reporting from Washington, DC,” said a source. “Either she didn’t want to go or leadership didn’t want her to go. It’s bad either way.”

Meanwhile, “CBS Mornings” anchor Tony Dokoupil, rumored as a possible successor to O’Donnell, has been reporting from Poland and appearing on her show nightly. Sources said O’Donnell is finally being sent to Poland this weekend and will report from there on Monday, but some insiders say “it’s too late.”

O’Donnell’s antics at “CBS Evening News” have angered staffers at the network, who are pushing for the anchor to be replaced. CBS Photo Archive
The 48-year-old anchor’s “The Devil Wears Prada” routine includes a full “dress rehearsal” of the “Evening News” half an hour before the show airs — an often tense ritual that has seen O’Donnell chewing out dressing room stylists over her hair and makeup, sources said.

“There was an incident last year in the studio where she ranted about how her bronzer was wrong,” one insider said, noting that her hair and makeup staff take the brunt of her tantrums and have been known to end up in tears.

“We are in the middle of a pandemic and people are dying.”

“She’s a news actress,” another insider said, noting that the dress rehearsals are “very unusual” for news broadcasts — especially for an anchor who’s three years into a job. A third added that the show’s producers use the quirky routine as a way to coach the “robotic” O’Donnell and “make her look more human,” by critiquing how she delivers the news and reads from the teleprompter.

Some of O’Donnell’s staffers in DC won’t miss her while she’s gone. Insiders said O’Donnell has a $65,000-a-year wardrobe allowance and she is particular about which designers she wears.

“It’s a clothing allowance, every news anchor has one. That figure is incorrect,” O’Donnell’s publicist Cindi Berger said, declining to provide a specific number.

Recently, O’Donnell posted a photo of herself on Instagram sporting a black Oscar de la Renta bow-belt fitted wool jacket that retails for $2,700 at Nordstrom at a time when CBS News is going through major cuts, sources said.

O’Donnell’s daily demands also include having her Gucci slides waiting in front of her dressing room door so she can put them on as soon as she is off the set.

“I am vehemently refuting these outrageous and sexist claims!” Berger emailed in response to questions about her client’s wardrobe and treatment of staff.

“It’s offensive that female anchors and reporters get this type of sexist treatment,” Khemlani said in an email statement late Friday. “We support Norah and the Evening News team and the quality journalism they deliver each and every night.”

The dress rehearsals have likewise rankled the network’s journalists, who claim that O’Donnell uses them to exert outsize control over broadcasts, scrapping segments at the last minute as she fusses over her appearance.

A news anchor typically might go over a few segments or scripts, but O’Donnell requires everyone from the producers, reporters and editors to run through the entire program. Not only does that mean the segments must be finished early and are thus not as polished, but it also gives O’Donnell the chance to tear up the segments.

“The rehearsals are an excuse to blow up packages 15 minutes before the show,” one source griped. “She changes the words to segments. Everyone has a stroke.”

Now, insiders say O’Donnell is facing heat from Khemlani, who was hired last year to revamp the organization. As previously reported by The Post, Khemlani’s gruff, exacting management style has ruffled feathers at CBS, leading to the departure of a slew of well-respected execs and journalists, including London Bureau Chief Andy Clarke, who left amid a spat over the cost of extracting Afghan journalists and fixers who worked for CBS.

The exec and O’Donnell began bumping heads last year when The Post first reported that CBS has been quietly searching for O’Donnell’s replacement ahead of her contract expiring this spring.

At the time, Khemlani denied a potential move or anchor shakeup, telling The Post: “There are no plans to move the Evening News from Washington. Norah’s presence in Washington has elevated the CBS Evening News’ coverage on all fronts — politics, breaking news, to big interviews including Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen just last week. Her reporting on the military and domestic abuse has won awards and changed policies in Washington. And in addition to making headlines, the program is gaining audience share.”

    Neeraj Khemlani
CBS News co-president Neeraj Khemlani has been searching for O’Donnell’s replacement, and was turned down by former MSNBC anchor Brian Williams.
Tensions further escalated in January when CNN reported that Khemlani approached former MSNBC anchor Brian Williams at least twice about the gig. O’Donnell’s camp was “shaken” and “very angered” by the reports, a person with knowledge said.

“They feel like Neeraj is devaluing Norah and the credibility of the network,” the source said.

Some people inside CBS believe that reports about Khemlani shopping for a new anchor could be a clever tactic to get O’Donnell to take a massive pay cut. But the consequence of that is that CBS looks “stupid” if they re-sign the anchor after trying to replace her, one source noted.

When asked publicly about O’Donnell’s job security, Khemlani told Deadline in January that CBS has “no current plans to change” what it is doing, but sources doubted the exec’s words.

“I don’t know if Neeraj can make the final decision but he’s going to bring [ratings] data to George Cheeks and Bob Bakish,” the source said, referring to the CEOs of CBS and its parent Paramount Global. “Norah’s contract is up in May. There’s time.”

Two Of Fox News’ Biggest Stars Reportedly Can’t Stand Each Other

At Fox News, the scandals never stop, and nor do the feuds among its biggest stars. Remember Megyn Kelly and Sean Hannity’s 2016 spat over Donald Trump? Yeah, that happened, but they’re all buddy-buddy now. But in 2024, rumors of another Hannity feud have surfaced, this time involving “The” Five co-host Dana Perino. Is it another installment of Fox’s slate of star-on-star beef, or just another steaming pile of fake news? No shade intended.

Rumors of the Hannity and Perino feud started with a sketchy Facebook ad claiming Perino was leaving “The Five” to focus on her burgeoning CBD gummies empire. Not just any gummies, though — these were purportedly capable of “reversing dementia.” The ad directed readers to a “Fox News” article, which claimed that Hannity was reportedly livid about Perino’s new business venture, claiming it had a conflict with his show’s sponsors. “Sean Hannity was outraged and expressed his intention to sue Dana Perino and Fox for violating his contract and allegedly driving away sponsors,” the article noted. It even included so-called “quotes” of Perino supposedly firing back, accusing Hannity of smearing her name, and Hannity reportedly pressuring Fox to cut Perino loose and force her to issue an apology to the network.

Now, given Fox’s track record of scandals, on-air sparring, and internal tension, this story sounds juicy enough to be true. But as it turns out, it’s 100% fake. There’s no CBD empire for Perino and no lawsuit threats for Hannity. There’s no internal war at Fox, either, at least none involving both of them. The story, much like Perino’s purported miracle gummies, holds no weight and was just fabricated for clickbait and good ‘ol online hoax. Again, no shade intended, yubi.

If you’re looking for the culprit behind the rumored feud between Sean Hannity and Dana Perino, point your finger at Mark Zuckerberg — or at least Meta. The whole fiasco started thanks to a shady ad Meta had given the green light to, leading to the bogus article that sparked the drama.

Neither Hannity nor Perino issued personal denials, but Fox News media relations manager Connor Smith was quick to put the rumors to rest. “I can confirm that this report is false,” he told Lead Stories. Snopes fact-checked the claims, too, revealing they came from a scammy website notorious for peddling fake news. And besides, no gummy exists that can reverse dementia — or at least not at this time anyway.

As for Perino, she’s got zero reason to feud with Hannity. In fact, she credits him with jump-starting her career at Fox News. When Perino left her role as White House Press Secretary, Fox wasn’t exactly lining up to hire someone fresh out of the Bush administration.

But Hannity? He apparently saw potential. “Sean said, ‘Why don’t you come up and be on my show?’ What I didn’t know is that here at Fox, he had suggested that they might want to consider me as a contributor,” Perino shared in a “Ruthless Podcast” appearance. “Sean said, ‘She’s different; let me try.’ … I was so terrible at the beginning, and shy, worried. I didn’t want to give my opinion. … And to Sean’s credit, he kept up with it. He always had my back.” Perino found her footing, eventually climbing the ranks to co-host “The Five,” and the rest, as they say, is history.

Greg Gutfeld returns to show with heartbreaking news after mysterious absence

Greg Gutfeld has returned to Fox News’ The Five after missing from the network for weeks following the birth of his daughter, Mira, with wife Elena Moussa

After a lengthy absence, Greg Gutfeld has finally returned to Fox News following the birth of his first child, Mira, with wife Elena Moussa.

The 60-year-old TV host had left fans worried when he disappeared from the network, but now, six weeks later, he’s back on both Gutfeld! and The Five.

However, Gutfeld’s return was marked by a heartbreaking announcement about his daughter’s birth. During his comeback on The Five, yubi his co-hosts presented him with gifts and a celebratory cake.

Gutfeld admitted he hasn’t changed a nappy yet, joking that he’s “never around” when Mira needs changing. As he laughed about his new fatherhood, Gutfeld opened his first gift, a blue and black plaid neckerchief for his French Bulldog, Gus, emblazoned with: “Big brother.”

But it seems Gus isn’t too thrilled about his new sibling. When asked how Gus was coping with Mira’s arrival, Gutfeld confessed: “Oh, Gus – I gotta say, that’s the challenge of having a French Bulldog when you have a kid.”

He revealed that Gus is struggling emotionally, no longer being the centre of attention in the Gutfeld household. “So, he does these ritual pees. he peed in front of the baby room for no…” Gutfeld then unveiled a unicorn onesie for the baby, which distracted him from continuing about Gus, but it’s clear the dog has been marking his territory around the house without reason.

A few weeks back, Greg Gutfeld’s co-host, Dana Perino, had some major news to announce from him, revealing that he and his spouse Elena Moussa, aged 42, were now the proud parents to a baby girl. “This is going to be a great surprise for a lot of you,” Dana began on ‘The Five’, hinting at the absence of Gutfeld who hadn’t been on the show for some time due to a delightful reason.

“This is a statement that he sent me today. So I’m reading this as if I’m Greg,” she said before reading out: “It is with great joy that my wife Elana and I have welcomed a baby girl into the world. Mira is healthy with a real set of lungs.”

Gutfeld then broke his silence on social media during Christmas, engaging his half a million Instagram followers with festive updates. He posted a cute photo of Gus the dog lounging on the sofa, jokingly captioning it: “As usual, he got me nothing for Christmas. Although he left something that looks like coal in the middle of the living room.”

Later on, Gutfeld uploaded a clip of a snowy stroll with Gus, who was sporting a stylish little black coat. The happy hound explored the snow, as Gutfeld commented on the activity: “Oh, he’s happy. Look at him go up the hill. This is good, probably good for me too.”

Gutfeld captioned his update: “Upstate sick as a dog. Not this dog. He’s doing fine,” hinting that he wasn’t feeling great. Nevertheless, Gutfeld’s followers were excited to see him posting on social media.

In the comments, an admirer enthused: “So hearing your voice made me teary, hearing your news about a baby brought tears, watching The Five’s Christmas exchange today brought tears, and so I say.”

“Congratulations to you, Elena, and Gus on your baby, so very happy for you all. But, I know I’m not the only one who misses you terribly:) We need you to come back please.”

Another fan stressed: “Congratulations! Happy healthy new year. Please come back really soon. Show is just not the same without you.”

Yet another joined in saying: “Merry Christmas! I hope you feel better. Enjoy that new baby! They really will grow up so fast. And get back to work. We miss you.”

Reba McEntire just celebrated a huge milestone. The country legend turned 70 yesterday and spent the day on tour in Uncasville, Connecticut.

But thanks to a huge surprise pulled off by her family members, she wasn’t alone on her big day. Luckily, her daughter-in-law captured the whole thing on social media.

Reba’s son, Shelby Blackstock, and his wife Marissa had the perfect alibi for the grand surprise.

They even posted on Facebook that day that they were attending a baby shower in Chicago. However, they were actually on the way to Connecticut to give Reba the surprise of a lifetime.

Blackstock and his wife Marissa documented the whole surprise for Instagram starting as they walk off the plane and head to the concert venue. They even had special 70th birthday shirts to wear for the occasion. Marisssa and Brandon were able to take in the show, just out of Mom’s line of sight. Thank goodness for those bright stage lights, right?

After her show, Reba was greeted backstage by her tour mates and buddies with shouts of “Surprise! Happy birthday!” As she scans the room, she spots her family and has the melody of “Happy birthday, to you,” fills the room, Reba becomes emotional, unsuccessfully holding back tears of joy. When the song ends, she walks straight towards the camera to embrace her son. She tells him how she’d been bragging on him about being so honest and you can hear Shelby reply “my first lie.”
