‘Price is Right’ fans claim the show is ‘rigged’ after 3 players win in the most bizarre manner

Usually “The Price is Right” fans are elated when someone wins big and equally heartbroken when someone loses out after doing well. But viewers who have been watching the show for years also observe things sharply and apart from coming up with strategies, they also smell conspiracies. The games on the show are largely about luck but recent reports suggest that it might not be the case. Fans have raised questions about the show after three contestants who spun the big wheel got the best possible results.

When spinning the big wheel, a contestant has to get as close to $1 without going over in two spins. A contestant named Timothy spun the wheel first and landed on $0.35. The ideal mark to land next would be a $0.65 or a $0.60. “A 60 would be amazing,” host Drew Carey said just moments before the wheel landed exactly on that number.
Screenshot showing the contestant celebrating after getting a 60 on Screenshot showing the contestant celebrating after getting a 60 on “The Price is Right” (Image credit: Instagram | therealpriceisright)
The second contestant got a 95 on his very first spin and the third, a woman named Zamone, landed on a 50 on her first attempt. With a second spin, she landed on 50 again, making it a full dollar. She won $1,000 and now had the chance to spin the wheel for a second time. She spun the wheel hard hoping for the best and was able to land 15 which gave her an additional $10,000.

Fans, however, weren’t quite convinced. “Either this entire show is rigged or of just the wheel is rigged because there sure seems to be a lot of 1.00 spinners on this show and not just today,” one user named nicolneville commented. “Yes, we have quit watching some time ago because it is rig. we watched for months taking notes of winners and wheel,” quipped another user named huguetteburk.

Claims of the game being rigged might sound preposterous to a lot of people but an earlier report in the US Sun suggested that something is going on behind the scenes. According to Maria Fitzsimons, an audience member in the show in 2013, some of the things that might seem to happen randomly are meticulously planned in reality. She even claimed that nothing on the show happens just by chance.

“The producers go down the line and look you right in the eye and ask you questions,” she said. “Nothing is by chance. Everyone is interviewed and they pick from those interviews. They make it seem random, but it’s not. And I think that’s why the show has done so well.” She even revealed that contestants who weren’t called to the stage weren’t allowed to take pictures with the big wheel.

Maria even shed light on the strict dress code rules that audience members are required to follow and that many come wearing handmade apparel. “A lot of people had handmade shirts, like themed shirts, like ‘I love The Price Is Right’ or something related to the show,” she added.

WHOOPI Goldberg has called out Joy Behar for making a shady comment about her on The View on Thursday.

The moderator has fake-cried, complete with her lips trembling, in order to get her point across.

During a discussion on Wednesday’s show about being friends with your co-workers, Joy admitted that she wouldn’t want to work anywhere where she didn’t have friends.

The 80-year-old went on: “When I was fired the last time from this show, people say to me, ‘Were you OK with that?’

“And my answer was, I was happy. Because all my friends had left already. So there was no reason to stay anymore.”

This last statement caught Whoopi’s attention, leaving her to ask pointedly: “Really? All you friends had left?

Trying to save herself, Joy explained: “You had just come on, and my backstage friends had left.”

Whoopi didn’t let it go, though, and instead pretended to cry.

While trembling her lips, she looked away from Joy and teasingly told her: “OK! Whatever, I’m cool.”

Though Whoopi’s co-hosts continued on with the topic, the moderator just continued to fake cry and pout, as the audience laughed and Joy did, too.

Although Joy has been on The View since it first premiered 1997, she was absent for a couple of years after she was fired.

There was a gap between 2013 and 2015 when Joy was off of the show, but she was eventually hired back and has been with the show ever since.

Whoopi, meanwhile, has been on The View since 2007.

While Joy did get to be with Whoopi on the talk show by the time she was fired, the comedian seemed to mean that all of her original co-hosts were gone.

Debbie Matenopoulos left in 1999, while both Meredith Vieira and Star Jones had ended their runs in 2006.

The late Barbara Walters, who created the show, had stopped co-hosting shortly after Joy left.

At the end of the segment, Whoopi assured everyone: “We’ve been friends a long time. I’m teasing Joy!”

As Whoopi mentioned, her and Joy’s friendship goes way back, and, as such, the two are often teasing one another on the show.

Just last week, Whoopi joked about wanting to see naked photos of her comedian co-star.

The View hosts were in the middle of a Hot Topic about NSFW home decorations.

Whoopi started off by sharing: “A woman wrote into Miss Manners because she gets very uncomfortable when she and her husband go to her friend’s house.

“Because her problem is that the friend likes to entertain in a room with a giant nude painting of herself on the wall.

“So, what would you tell her to do?”

That’s when Joy jumped in to say: “It could be a conversation starter… I mean, I have a picture in my house of–“

Whoopi cut her off before she could finish, though, as she was too excited about what the 80-year-old might’ve been about to say.

The moderator told Joy: “If you tell me you have naked pictures of you in your house, I’m coming over tomorrow!”

Whoopi’s co-host just laughed before shutting that down and explaining that while she doesn’t have nude photos on her walls, she does have a fun photo of the late Barbara Walters wit her hand over Joy’s mouth.

Just a few days earlier, Joy had teasingly called out Whoopi over her strange on-air behavior.

The 80-year-old pointed out that the moderator was resting her head on her hands and checking an invisible watch on her wrist in the middle of a fluff topic.

‘Y&R’: Eric Braeden Talks Retirement, Favorite Episodes, How the Show Fixed a Big Mistake (Exclusive)

Eric Braeden Talks Retirement & How ‘Y&R’ Fixed ‘One of the Dumbest Decisions Ever’

Eric Braeden on 'The Young and the Restless'

    Exclusive

    CBS

The Young and the Restless unveiled a big surprise to make its 13,000th episode even more special by reconstructing one of its most iconic locales: the Newman ranch.

The set, which burned down as part of a 2012 story, was not a popular choice at the time or in the years since. “It was an outrage and one of the dumbest decisions ever,” declares Eric Braeden, who plays Victor Newman, the ranch’s owner.

Nevertheless, the actor was surprised by his own sentimental reaction to seeing it brought back to life. “To be frank with you, when they asked me to take a look at it, I thought, ‘Oh, well,’ ” Braeden shrugs. “And then I sat there and I was a little overwhelmed. I really was touched because the old set meant so much to the Nikki/Victor relationship. And they did a wonderful job. I was just flooded with emotions because it’s stepping back into a milieu that we’ve almost forgotten about. It touched me. It really did.”

Braeden joined Y&R in 1980, intending to stay for a short spell; 44 years later, he is the face most associated with it. “I signed for three months and that’s all I wanted to do,” he explains. But a conversation with the show’s co-creator and former head writer, William J. Bell, changed the course of Braeden’s life and career.

“I was asked if I would extend,” he recalls. “And I thought about that for a while and said, ‘OK, make it a year.’ After about a year, I really didn’t want to continue and I went to Bill and I said, ‘Bill, unless you ascribe a background to this character that justifies who he is or explains who he is, I don’t want to play bad guys anymore. I’ve done it for too many years on nighttime and I’m burned out. It’s dehumanizing. I can’t do it anymore.’ And two months later, he came up with the brilliant storyline. Once I had done that, where Victor explained to Nikki that he had grown up in an orphanage, I went to my dressing room, called home, and said, ‘I’m staying.’ Because I realized that from then on, the character would assume enormous complexity and that’s what attracted me to it. And that’s why I’m still here because you don’t get that kind of character, certainly not on nighttime. It was a brilliant stroke and that’s really the only reason that I’m here. I would have left, period.”

Now, the Newman family is one of the driving forces on the 51-year-old soap. “It means everything to me; I’d be a phony if I said that it doesn’t mean anything,” Braeden shares. “To get affirmation of what one has done is a wonderful feeling.”

Braeden’s favorite episodes are ones that have touched upon Victor’s roots. “Very simply, the time that Victor’s mother showed up [in 1984],” he relays. “Dorothy McGuire played my mother [Cora Miller]. It is one of the most memorable scenes for me, and it explains so much of Victor’s character, and the deep hurt and the deep pain in him and anger in him at a mother who had abandoned him when he was seven years old. That all came out in that scene, in one take, and that’s arguably my most favorite scene. Another scene was with George Kennedy, who played my father [Albert Miller], when I finally confronted him [in 2003] for the first time in my adult life. That was fraught with enormously deep emotions. Those are two of my most memorable scenes. There were others, obviously, with Mel [Thomas Scott, Nikki Newman] and Peter Bergman [Jack Abbott], but the scenes that really encapsulate who Victor Newman is are those two scenes with the mother and the father.”

Regarding Scott, the actor appreciates the endurance of Nikki and Victor’s romance, which Braeden feels has a lot to do with their real-life dynamic. “Mel and I get along,” he explains. “We get along very well and Mel knows how to deal with me. There is chemistry between people, and if there isn’t, you can’t manufacture it, you can’t write it. It’s there or it isn’t and we’re lucky that it is. It’s really as simple as it is and as complicated as it is. You can’t foresee that, you really can’t. It’s a confluence of what the writers did and what the two personalities bring to the scenes and to each other.”

Braeden also enjoys that the show has mined so much drama out of Victor’s complicated rivalry with Jack. “Peter [Bergman] and I work well together as adversaries, and that’s another thing that either works or doesn’t work, and it works,” he points out. Jack is currently in Victor’s crosshairs once again. “Victor gets even with people, and he has not forgiven that night of debauchery between Jack and Nikki [in May],” sniffs Braeden. “He thinks hanky panky went on and Victor doesn’t forgive or forget that.”

With Victor still front and center in the story, the 83-year-old Braeden has no plans to retire anytime soon. “I will not, I don’t want to,” he insists. Especially with his health in a good place. “I feel very well. I really do,” he reports. “The [bladder] cancer is under control and I will have another cystoscopy in about a month, and if that is negative, then I’ll be free for a while. It’s never gone completely. You have to always watch, but signs are very good. The new knee is fully repaired. I do squats again and power cleans again and all that.”
Melody Thomas Scott as Nikki Newman and Eric Braeden as Victor Newman on 'Young and the Restless'

    Monty Brinton/CBS

As the show is set to mark 13,000 episodes on November 13, Braeden says he has a lot to be thankful for. “I am deeply grateful,” he reflects. “We have complaints about this or that; that’s inevitable in the creative process. But very often on the way to work, I look around as I drive through town. I remember the place where I first walked in L A, and I cross it every day, but I had barely a penny in my pocket. At this point, I’m very, very fortunate, and rarely has a writer created something that fits me so well. I disagree with a lot of what Victor Newman does, but the emotional components are there and I agree with them completely. It’s easy for me to play. I love it. I have wonderful coworkers in Melody, Peter Bergman, Joshua Morrow [Nick Newman], Amelia Heinle [Victoria Newman], Melissa Ordway [Abby Newman], Mark Grossman [Adam Newman], Jason Thompson [Billy Abbott] and Michelle Stafford [Phyllis Summers]. All wonderful actors. I feel really good about it. We’re still number one.”

Pregnant Fox host reveals the most outrageous comments she’s received from viewers

Pregnant Fox News star Kat Timpf has revealed some of the most sickening comments she’s received from viewers about her baby bump.

Despite being well into her third trimester, the 36-year-old has remained on the air, spawning criticism from armchair quacks in the process.

‘Hi everyone!’ she wrote on X Monday, after being bombarded with hate over her decision – as her due date came and went a few days ago.

‘I am under the close care of a doctor, and I promise that both of us know and care far more about my health and the health of my own baby than any random online stranger does from just seeing me on TV,’ she added.

‘Although I’m sure much of it is well-intentioned, I don’t need to be bombarded with comments about how my belly looking this way or that way clearly means I will be needing this or that.

‘Or how I shouldn’t be at work, or concerns about my “amniotic fluid” or any other wildly personal medical thing.

‘See you all tonight!’ the longtime Fox talent went on to conclude, before appearing on Fox’s highly rated Gutfeld! later that night. She did so again Tuesday, before being noticeably absent for the broadcast last night.

It remains unclear whether Timpf – who wed 38-year-old Army vet Cameron Friscia in 2021 – has since given birth, with her most recent posts penned Tuesday as well.

‘Don’t get political with us!’ once Instagram commenter wrote before eliciting a reaction out of Timpf on X. ‘Just give us the amniotic fluid report!’

Months before, following an October appearance on the Barstool Sports-owned Out and About podcast, an Instagram user sniped: ‘Why do you show your belly? are you a 11 years girl?’

‘Why do these pregnant wemon[sic] sit there half naked,’ someone else scathed, after the TV personality who has appeared on a host of Fox shows over the past decade donned a short T-shirt for the appearance.

‘Not flattering,’ another added, leading Timpf to later admit to the US Sun: ‘Sometimes, some of [the comments] will bother me.

‘Now if I need to get engagement up on my video I just need to wear a crop top and I’ll have people calling me horrible and disgusting,’ the former Barstool contributor joked, before addressing the subject of trolls in a self-filmed video she last week.

‘Yes, I’m still pregnant. Yes, I’m past my due date,’ she says in the clip of her strolling through the streets of New York City on February 11.

‘Yes, this is the longest pregnancy of all time,’ she joked, after promising to appear on both Fox News and Gutfeld right up until the day she delivers her and her husband’s firs baby..

‘Yes, I’m still working,’ she added. ‘No, I don’t want to stop working.’

Megyn Kelly RESPONDS to B00M$HELL report she’s set to form new CBS show to RIVAL The View

Megyn Kelly responds to bombshell report she’s set to form new CBS show to rival The View

Megyn Kelly fiercely responded to a bizarre report claiming the on-air personality is gearing up to form a new show rivalling ABC’s The View.

The bombshell ‘breaking news’ report, which surfaced on Friday, claimed the former Fox News television host, 54, would soon join television personality, Elisabeth Hasselback, for a ‘new conservative talk show’ on CBS.

The report, published by Read Update News, said the new show is ‘set to premiere in early 2025’ and ‘aims to fill a perceived gap in the market by providing a platform for conservative voices often overshadowed in mainstream media’.

Said to be named ‘The Morning Right’ the report claimed the program will feature ‘political commentary, cultural discussions, and interviews with high-profile guests from politics, entertainment, and business.’

However, Kelly, who now runs her own talk show and podcast, The Megyn Kelly Show,  featured on Sirius XM, took to X to dispute the publication’s claims.

‘This is a lie,’ Kelly wrote on the Friday post.

The podcast host went on to dispel additional rumors that she and conservative political commentator Candace Owens would instead be the pair chosen to shepherd the new daytime television endeavor.

‘And so is the BS about yours truly and Candace Owens doing a show on CBS. Why on earth would I leave the gig I have??’ she added.

The bombshell ‘ breaking news ‘ report, which surfaced on Friday, claimed the 54-year-old Illinois-native would soon join television personality, Elisabeth Hasselback (pictured), for a ‘new conservative talk show’ on CBS

Speculation that the long-time TV personality will head a new show is nothing new as rumors Kelly and Owens would partner up initially surfaced back in October with a since disputed report by BigOakBay.com.

The October 1 report claimed the partnership ‘between two prominent conservative voices’ would ‘shake up’ the traditional landscape of morning programming.

Yet, regardless of whom her co-host would be, Kelly has since refuted the illegitimate claims.

If the alleged CBS show were to ever be realized, it is likely the broadcast would be a close competitor to ABC’s hit talk show, The View, which features hosts Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, Sara Haines, Alyssa Farah Griffin and Ana Navarro.

‘The View has long been a dominant force in daytime television, known for its panel of diverse women engaging in lively debates on hot-button issues. However, its left-leaning stance has often alienated conservative viewers.

‘CBS is positioning The Morning Right as a fresh alternative, offering what they describe as “balanced, insightful conversations” from a conservative lens,’ Read Update News’ report claimed.

Speculation that the long-time TV personality will head a new show is nothing new as rumors Kelly and Candace Owens (pictured) would partner up initially surfaced back in October with a since disputed report by BigOakBay.com.

Recently, Kelly has made headlines with her revealing interview featuring Defense Department selection Pete Hegseth where she questioned the political pundit regarding a recent rape accusation.

Hegseth, recently poked by the President-elect to lead the Defense Department, thought that he ‘had to’ pay off a woman accusing him of rape because he was married and up for a new job and wanted to allegations to disappear.

A series of concerning reports have since cast doubt over whether Hegseth will remain Donald Trump’s pick to lead the department.

A woman accused the 44-year-old of raping her at the Republican women’s conference in California in 2017. No charges were filed but there is a police report of the allegations.

Speaking with Megyn Kelly on her show on Wednesday, Hegseth declined to disclose how much he paid the woman.

‘I paid her because I had to, or at least I thought I did at the time,’ Hegseth detailed.

‘She got lawyers that reached out to mine and said, ‘If you don’t come forward, and if you don’t pay money, then ultimately we’re going to out him.’ We were in the middle of a #MeToo movement. I had a great job at Fox and a wonderful marriage.’

He continued: ‘It’s not what I should have done… I did it to protect my wife. I did it to protect my family, and I did it to protect my job, and it was a negotiation purely to try to prevent that.’

Hegseth admitted on SiriusXM’s The Megyn Kelly Show that there is some truth to the flurry of damning reports.

In other news, just after President Joe Biden announced the shocking pardon of his son, Hunter, the host of The Megyn Kelly Show cited her late sister’s loss to the opioid crisis in slamming ‘spoiled f***ing brat’ Hunter Biden after his father gave him the presidential pardon.

Kelly spent her Monday evening show raging at President Biden lying to the American people for protecting ‘the Biden crime family’ after getting his long-troubled son off the hook.

On Tuesday, Kelly personalized the tragedy she believes many families feel after losing family members who weren’t able to get the free ride Hunter has.

‘Millions of people have this in their family where somebody you know and love got swept up into the opioid crisis,’ she said.

Kelly cited her older sister Suzanne Crossly, who died at the age of 58 two years ago after becoming addicted to opioids.

‘But my sister actually legitimately got caught up in the opioid crisis by a doctor telling her this thing was not going to be addictive, and then it was, and really never righted the ship again.’

CMA Awards: Carrie Underwood, Dolly Parton and Reba McEntire perform

The 2019 Country Music Association Awards got off to a rockin’ start when not one but three icons took the stage to sing together.

The Voice Coach Reba McEntire, Sunday Night Football singer Carrie Underwood, and country legend Dolly Parton opened the event by singing Parton’s song “Those Memories Of You.” They were then joined by other “women of country” for a medley of songs, featuring Martina McBride, Jennifer Nettles and Tanya Tucker. Check it out here.

Before they sang, the three of them kicked things off with a monologue, shouting out the Performer of the Year nominees including Keith Urban, who looked so sweet sitting with his wife, actress Nicole Kidman.

From 2008 to 2018, Underwood had hosted the awards with Brad Paisley every year, which is why McEntire and Parton are joking about taking his place.

About “Those Memories of You” by Dolly Parton, Linda Ronstadt, and Emmylou Harris

History was made in 1987 when Dolly Parton, Linda Ronstadt and Emmylou Harris recorded and released a collaborative album called Trio, titled after their nickname as the “Queenston Trio.” That album included “Those Memories Of You,” which has since been covered by other artists, and is itself a cover; the song was written by Alan O’Bryant and first recorded by Bill Monroe, according to American Songwriter.

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library Faces Defunding

Indiana recently swore in its new governor, Mike Braun.

Braun, a former U.S. Senator, took the oath of office on two Bibles: one that was used when Benjamin Harrison was sworn in as president and one of his own. He is the 52nd governor of Indiana and a member of the Republican Party.

Braun is following in Donald Trump’s footsteps by proposing a new budget for the state.

Donald Trump’s new Department DOGE, which Elon Musk unofficially runs, is making significant cuts. It even proposes to give 20% of the money back to American taxpayers.

However, one of the programs at risk of being cut is an initiative started by Dolly Parton: The Imagination Library.

    What Is The Imagination Library?

This program aims to help future generations learn to read by allowing parents to sign up and receive one free book each month for their child until age five.

A representative for Dolly Parton released a statement saying, “We are hopeful that Governor Braun and the Indiana Legislature will continue this vital investment by restoring the state’s funding match for local Imagination Library programs. The beauty of the Imagination Library is that it unites us all — regardless of politics — because every child deserves the chance to dream big and succeed.”

The representative also noted that the program has provided over 260 million books since its founding and currently serves approximately 125,000 children each month.

“The State of Indiana has been a proud partner in bringing Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library to over 125,000 Hoosier children each month. Together, we’ve helped nurture a love of reading, given families precious moments of joy, and built a foundation for lifelong learning.”

Only time will tell if Dolly’s beloved program will continue.

Parton explained in the video below that she founded the nonprofit in honor of her father, who struggled with reading. Watch her founding story below.

50 Years Ago: Conway Twitty Records Country’s Ultimate Creeper Song

Oh how people love to regard classic country music as coming from this pure and idyllic era, full of traditional American values and virtue, while regarding today’s country music as full of filth. That may be somewhat fair on the whole, but there are certainly some exceptions to that rule. And most of them come from the catalog of Conway Twitty.

You have to give the guy credit. It’s an art form, and one Conway was the master of during his Hall of Fame career. He knew how to walk up right to the line of decency in country music, but not cross it, yet give the audience the words and imagery where they could cross fully over the lines themselves, while everything still remained in compliance with the FCC and network censors.

Conway Twitty has such a vast selection of creeper country songs, it could constitute its own subgenre. “I See The Want To In Your Eyes” and “I’ve Already Loved You In My Mind” are a couple of choice examples. “Tight Fittin’ Jeans” and “I’d Love to Lay You Down” are a couple of the more sedate selections. Sure, there was never anything overt. But it wasn’t what Conway said, it’s what he didn’t need to say that aroused the otherwise repressed audience. Conway understood that the greatest erogenous zone in the human body is the mind.

Though there are scores of examples of this Conway Twitty smooth talk, arguably the biggest doozy of them all was the song he recorded 50 years ago today at Bradley’s Barn in Mt. Juliet Tennessee with producer Owen Bradly called “You’ve Never Been This Far Before.”

Though like always, Conway was careful not to use any dirty words explicitly—and instead allowed the imagination of the listener to take the story where he wanted it to go—the talk of the taking of innocence, and Conway stating, “…as my trembling fingers touch forbidden places” was too much for some radio programmers, and the song was banned at certain stations. Perhaps the creepiest part of “You’ve Never Been This Far Before” is the “bum bum bum” refrains from Conway.

But as is normal with such things, the risque nature of the song and making it forbidden fruit only made it more enticing to audiences, and despite the protestations of some moralists, the song still made it to #1. The complaints over the song also made it popular on the pop side of the dial. It ended up peaking at #22 on the Billboard’s all-genre Hot 100 in 1973, making for Conway’s best crossover showing on the pop chart in his country career.

Written by Conway Twitty himself, it was really the success of “You’ve Never Been This Far Before” that inspired Conway to try his hand at similar risque creeper songs in the future, which he found great success with. “I See The Want To In Your Eyes,” “I’ve Already Loved You In My Mind,” “Tight Fittin’ Jeans,” and “I’d Love to Lay You Down” all hit #1 too.

Of course Conway wrote and performed many other kinds of songs as well, and had an incredible career singing duets with Loretta Lynn, who often played the foil to Conway’s dalliances. But it was his creeper songs that became his signature. They went on to partially inspire Stuart Baker’s creepy classic country character Unknown Hinson. Animated comedy Family Guy regularly makes reference to Conway, and often in the context of his creeper songs.

Aside from George Strait, nobody has more #1 songs in country music than Conway Twitty. One of the reasons is the way Conway knew how to stimulate the libido in the audience like no other. Some of what Conway sang would be considered even more risque today as it was during its original time as a new version of prudish American values have taken over popular society. “You’ve Never Been This Far Before” probably qualifies in that category. But love it or find it incredibly creepy, it unquestionably left a lasting mark on country music
