Fans reminded Reba McEntire to tone down her “personal character” in the sitcom Happy’s Place to avoid repeating the mistakes of her previous show

In addition to rejoining the group that produced her last two sitcoms, Reba McEntire is making a comeback to the comedy genre with her second family-friendly sitcom.

In which she plays a woman who ‘inherits her father’s restaurant.’

She also portrayed the titular protagonist in the Emmy-nominated television series Reba, which aired from 2001 to 2007.

In February, McEntire will make her return to The Voice as a Coach for season 25, having made her debut in Season 24.

Fans, however, have not only seen McEntire in her show but have also been closely following her on the iconic NBC show, The Voice.

As reported by The Sun, The Voice’s season finale included a spoof with McEntire and Gwen Stefani.

Throughout the show’s audition, Reba gave the other coaches her renowned tater tots. They used a food truck that served Stefani’s tomato sauce and the tots.

However, the vehicle broke down just as the two were getting in to sell their goods. Eventually, McEntire lifted the hood and saved the day for the two of them. In the end, the two brought their food truck to The Voice studio to provide refreshments. As part of her preparation for her clients, McEntire staged using ‘classic cook lingo,’ such as ‘cup of mud’ for coffee.

Stefani, however, was not sure what McEntire was doing. The coaches then fed the throng on the show’s lot by opening their food truck to actual consumers. After everyone had eaten and the truck had been shut down, the country singer conveyed the news that it had broken down again.

In the meanwhile, McEntire tried to contact a tow truck while Stefani was beneath the car’s hood fiddling about. Regretfully, keen-eyed admirers saw that McEntire pulled out her phone and used it in an inverted position to make the call.

As per the outlet, one user commented on X, “Reba with the upside down phone. Not too much y’all I love this woman.” Another added, “Did anyone else notice Reba’s phone upside down at the end of that.” A third commented, “No one seen Reba’s phone was upside down.”Another user added, “LMFAOOO the phone was upside down.” In a more recent appearance on Young Sheldon, McEntire reprised the character of June. In addition, she featured in the Lifetime film Reba McEntire’s The Hammer and had an appearance as Sunny Barnes in Season 3 of ABC’s Big Sky.

In the years since the initial series, McEntire has expressed her strong desire for a Reba comeback in public. When the actress appeared on The Bobby Bones Show in July 2022, she spoke candidly about her attempts to create a new series.

I'm Worried About Reba's Happy's Place Future After NBC's Surprising Update For Its Breakout Comedy

She stated, “We’ve really been trying hard to do a reboot of the Reba show. I really want to work with the people that I got to work with during those six and a half years.” McEntire also discussed the cast of Reba, which featured Christopher Rich as McEntire’s ex-husband, Brock Enroll Hart, and Melissa Peterman as his new girlfriend-turned-wife Barbra Jean Hart. McEntire added, “It was fun, the cast the crew everybody we got to work with and play with, they were wonderful people. We wanted to get back together like a reunion and have fun, so hopefully that will happen one day.”

An interesting plot point in Reba McEntire’s sitcom Happy’s Place has been replaced

Reba McEntire announced the premiere date of the first episode of the sitcom Happy’s Place has been confirmed, but an interesting plot point in it has been replaced by…

Happy’s Place finds McEntire playing Bobbie, a woman who inherits a restaurant from her father.

Soon she discovers a half-sister (Escobedo) she never knew she had.

The two become unlikely business partners; in real life, McEntire is 69 and Escobedo is 25, so it’s safe to expect some generation gap humor.

Linn and Peterman’s roles (see below) position each to share the screen with the show’s star often. That could give the show a head start, given their on and off-screen chemistry.

Since the end of Reba, Peterman and McEntire have toured together and filmed many comedic social media clips together. Their timing is still very sharp.

One hopes that if the two are lovers in Happy’s Place, they reach a different conclusion than they did on Big Sky, where McEntire’s Sunny kills husband Buck (Linn).

The cast and characters on Happy’s Place represent a diverse set of backgrounds. Here’s what’s known, courtesy of several media outlets, including TVLine.

Belissa Escobedo as Isabella: Bobbie’s twenty-something half-sister is thrilled to be working at the tavern. The psychology student is full of energy, smart and creative.

Melissa Peterman as Gabby: Gabby is a bartender at the restaurant. She’s described as needy and dramatic and secretly wishing she was Bobbie’s sister.

Rex Linn as Emmett: A cook at Happy’s Place.

Tokala Black Elk as Takoda: A waiter at the tavern.

Pablo Castelblanco as Steve: An accountant.

‘Price is Right’ host Drew Carey ‘slaps’ a woman during a game in bizarre TV moment

Game show hosts in America have been popular among TV audiences for decades, for their friendly demeanor, wit, and kindness. Although some of them are good at roasting contestants, Drew Carey has been more compassionate and supportive as the host of “The Price is Right.”

Most games played on the show have a lot to do with luck, and hence participants can lose out even after using all their skills and knowledge. Usually, Carey expresses sympathy towards contestants who lose, which is why it’s hard to imagine him slapping the spectacles off a contestant’s face after she failed to make it.

The player in question was Hillary, who had made it to the Showcase Showdown round.

In this round, a contestant has to spin the big wheel that has numbers on each section. The objective is to come as close as possible to a dollar without going above that amount. The big prizes are won if a contestant can land on the dollar mark or the $0.5 and $0.15 marks
Screenshot showing the contestant Hillary on Screenshot showing the contestant Hillary on “The Price is Right” (Image source: YouTube | Game Show God)
Hillary’s first turn landed on the $0.2 mark, and this gave her a good chance of coming close enough to the dollar without going over. However, luck was not on the contestant’s side during her second attempt, as the wheel landed on the $0.9 mark. This meant that she had gone just over the dollar mark and was out of the race to win a prize in the game.

Carey was sympathetic to her cause but his flailing hand accidentally made contact with the contestant’s face, knocking her glasses off.

Carey apologized multiple times as the crowd laughed after the incident. He then turned to the camera and started throwing his hands around as a comedic gesture. “Just flailing around,” he said as the next contestant went up to try their luck on the Showcase Showdown wheel. Thankfully, there was no harm done.

Although Carey accidentally hit the contestant on this occasion, there were also incidents in earlier episodes, when he ended up injuring himself. It was evident that he wasn’t joking when he said that he had hurt himself at the time but he handled the situation brilliantly and made sure that no one felt too uncomfortable.

In the episode, the 66-year-old was dancing with a contestant, presumably to celebrate a win. However, in his excitement, he failed to take note of his surroundings. Carey tripped over a part of the stage behind him and fell hard on his back. He lay on the floor for a while before taking the microphone to say, “My hamstring.”

The crowd immediately stopped laughing and a couple of the show’s crew members walked up to the host to ask if he was okay. “I pulled a hammy,” he said with a smile on his face. This ensured that it wasn’t anything too serious even though the fall looked nasty at first.

Antics of contestants on “The Price is Right” are one of the things that make the show entertaining and relatable, but sometimes their joy can be too much for the host and audience alike. In a rare moment on the show, another person from the audience came down to celebrate with the contestant and they both collapsed to the floor together in front of model Alexis Gaube, who seemed helpless and baffled.

The contestant in question was a woman named Alexandria and she had made it to the final round of the show, which was Showcase Showdown. Her opponent was bidding for a trip to the Seychelles and a car, and the price she guessed was $5,793 less than the actual value of both prizes. This gave Alexandria a chance to seal the deal if she could guess the price of a hot tub and the trip.

Screenshot showing the moment Alexandria realised that she had won Showcase. (Image credit: Instagram | @therealpriceisright)Screenshot showing the moment Alexandria realised that she had won Showcase. (Image credit: Instagram | @therealpriceisright)
But unlike a lot of other contestants, she had help. Her mother was in the studio and she was determined to help her daughter out. With her guidance, Alexandria guessed $22,500 as the price of both the trip and the hot tub, and that was only $164 away from the actual price of both prizes.

The rules of the game state that if a contestant guesses an amount within $250 of the actual price of the items, they win both showcases, including the car.

Alexandria rushed over to the location of the car and her mother also made her way onto the stage and hugged her. In their excitement, they fell to the floor while the rest of the people on stage didn’t know what to do as per TV Shows Ace.

“The Price is Right” audience has always been quite helpful to the competitors for decades now. Even when Bob Barker was the host, the people behind the camera never shied away from helping a contestant win big. A contestant named Brenda experienced this nature of the audience as well.

She was playing the Any Number game to win the prize. In this game, there are three rows. The first row had four digits that represented the price of the car. The second row had three digits that represented the price of the teddy bears.

The third row also had three digits that represented a certain amount of cash in a piggy bank. The numbers available were 0 to 9 and no digit repeated itself.

The contestant had to guess a number that appeared in its corresponding box.

The first object with its price revealed was to be awarded to the player. Before guessing every single digit, Brenda turned to the audience for help.

It took some time and the situation turned tense, but she ultimately revealed the price of the car first thanks to the people in the studio and got what she had wanted the most..

Roker was not present for the NBC program’s third hour on Tuesday. Instead, Laura Jarrett and Peter Alexander filled in alongside Dylan Dreyer.

Although Today didn’t share why the beloved meteorologist was missing, a quick search on social media revealed the likely answer.

On Monday, Feb. 10, Roker’s daughter, Courtney Roker Laga, 37, revealed that her mother, Alice Bell—Roker’s first wife—died at age 77.

“She was my mother, my heart, and the most loving grandmother to Sky,” Courtney shared with her Instagram followers. “I was with her for her last breath, and I will carry her love with me always.”

Courtney didn’t share her mother’s cause of death; however, in the update, she included photos of Bell holding her toddler granddaughter while wearing nasal cannulas for oxygen.

Sports radio host Stephen A. Smith Saying He’d ‘DIVORCE’ Serena Williams for $H0CKING reason

Stephen A. Smith would divorce Serena Williams for Super Bowl 2025 halftime show appearance

Serena Williams’ cameo during Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl 2025 halftime show turned heads and raised eyebrows for a number of reasons.

The tennis superstar appeared during Lamar’s performance of “Not Like Us,” displaying her dance moves while Lamar rapped the hit Drake diss track.

Williams’ appearance during this particular song is no coincidence as she dated Drake in 2011, which wound up with the Canadian rapper releasing the song “Too Good” about Williams five years later in which he repeats the lyric, “I’m too good to you.”

Williams is married to Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, and the pair have two daughters.

This raised questions about Williams’ rationale for partaking in the diss track performance and its petty jabs toward her romantic fling from nearly 15 years ago, when she now has a family of her own.

    Enter, Stephen A. Smith.

“If I’m married and my wife is going to join trolling her ex, go back to his ass, ’cause clearly you don’t belong with me,” Smith said Monday on ESPN’s “First Take.”

“What you worried about him for and you’re with me? Bye. Bye.”

“If you were with Serena Williams, you’re going to be a kept man anyways,” co-host Ryan Clark responded. “Don’t start that.”

Shannon Sharpe also came to Ohanian’s defense, noting that he did well enough for himself financially.

Joining Lamar and Williams in the onslaught of trolling was yet another partner from his past: SZA.

Drake raps, “I used to date SZA back in ‘08,” in his feature on, “Mr. Right Now,” by 21 Savage and Metro Boomin. SZA later confirmed this, though added that it was actually 2009.
Stephen A. Smith on ESPN's 'First Take' on Monday, Feb. 10Stephen A. Smith was no fan of Serena Williams getting in on Kendrick Lamar’s Drake trolling. ESPN
While SZA featured mainly in other portions of the performance and did not add any particular trolling, it may have been a tough watch for Drake as Lamar performed the Song of the Year Grammy-winning diss track with two of Drake’s exes at an event he would naturally like to headline himself.

There’s been no public reaction from Drake, though, while onlookers continue to either applaud Williams’ trolling or, like Stephen A. Smith, question if the rapper is staying rent-free in her mind 14 years later.

A recent social media post by Chrissy Teigen has sparked a debate amongst her followers.

The former model, who is married to musician John Legend, frequently shares snippets of her family life on Instagram. However, her latest post has drawn criticism from some fans who believe she’s oversharing.

The 39-year-old mother of four to Wren Alexander, 18 months, Esti Maxine, 2, Miles Theodore, 6, and Luna Simone, 8– posted a photo of herself with her three youngest children in a bathtub.

Despite the heartwarming family photos, some followers deemed the bath picture “weird and unnecessary”.

One disgruntled fan commented: “Your boys are too old to be in the bath with you. Not appropriate at all.”

    Chrissy Teigen- Instagram

Another echoed this sentiment, saying: “Kids deserve privacy. Why should the world be seeing them in the bath?”

Others chimed in with similar concerns about the children’s privacy and appropriateness.

One follower added: “Bathing with your kids is one thing, but is there a need to be topless doing so? ? I don’t care how young or old or close you are to your kid; there’s no need to be topless, especially when posting to social media! Just keep it private.”

    Yet, not everyone was critical.

Some commenters defended Chrissy, with one jokingly writing, “Just waiting on the Karen’s to rip you a new one for doing something every mom has done,” while another pointed out, “These kids have a better relationship with their parents than any of you mom shaming her.. lol.”

Despite receiving a variety of reactions, it was a particular inquiry that prompted Chrissy to clap back. The ex-model felt compelled to defend herself when a follower asked why she’s “always in dirty bathwater.”

    Chrissy Teigen

She retorted sharply: “It’s a coconut milk bath for sensitive skin, but go off.”

This comeback follows her past disclosure about having sensitive skin. In an interview with Refinery29, Chrissy shared how motherhood had altered her skin’s sensitivity.

At that time, she remarked: “I’m sure a lot of moms can relate, but I think my skin-care routine has changed because my skin has changed. After you give birth, something unexplainable happens to your skin. My skin never used to be as sensitive as it is now; I used to go to town on chemical peels and extractions.”

George Stephanopoulos is ‘miserable’ at ‘GMA’ after Trump apology — and speculation heats up over who could fill his anchor chair if he exits

“GMA” host George Stephanopoulos has been “miserable” after being forced to apologize following the President Trump fiasco — and staffers are already speculating about who might replace him, The Post has learned

Stephanopoulos has been rumored to be on his way out, according to multiple network sources, since ABC News parent Disney agreed to settle a defamation suit in December .

As part of Disney’s deal with Trump, the former Democratic operative — who co-hosts “GMA” with Roberts and Michael Strahan — was forced to issue an apology.

ABC News sources are buzzing that George Stephanopoulos could exit the his high-profile gig as co-host of “Good Morning America” following ABC’s legal settlement with Trump.ABCYUBI
The whole episode has turned out to be “emasculating” for the “This Week” host, who has isolated himself even more than usual since the settlement, a source with knowledge told The Post.

“George seems miserable,” the source said, musing that the network could wait to pull the plug on him this summer when things are “dead” or later in the year.

“He’s definitely gone,” the insider predicted. “He’s a dead man walking for sure.”

Multiple sources added that he could remain at the network in a lower profile way, possibly working on film and TV projects.

But another source close to the network shot down talk that Stephanopoulos is miserable at “GMA.”

“This is nonsense, anyone watching ‘GMA’ can see he’s engaged, all-in, and as committed as ever.” the source said, adding, “He’s happy to be here.”

Sources speculated that the Disney-owned network, which is culling costs, does not need to shell out $75 million a year for Michael Strahan, Robin Roberts and George Stephanopoulos (L-R).ABC
A rep for Stephanopoulos did not comment.

The network is currently shelling out around $75 million annually for Roberts, Strahan and Stephanopoulos, a massive sum considering TV audiences are shrinking and the importance of morning shows has waned.

Roberts could flex her significant influence at the network should an anchor seat open up. She is expected to push good pal and “GMA” weekend anchor Gio Benitez for the role, multiple sources who work at the network told The Post.

“Robin calls the shots at GMA,” one ABC News source said.

Benitez recently posted a photo to his Instagram account that showed him and his husband smiling alongside Roberts and her spouse, Amber Laign, as they attended a movie premiere about singer Gloria Gaynor. Roberts is an executive producer of the biopic.

“Everybody thinks Gio could be the new George,” said another source close to the situation.

“He’s in with the in crowd.”

“If you could put Superman on ‘GMA’ wouldn’t you?” the second source said.

NBC’s Willie Geist, who hosts “Sunday Today,” has also been swept in the rumor mill.

One of the insiders added that ABC could also opt to just stick with Roberts and Strahan – and tap “more of a newsreader” type with a modest salary to fill out the morning team.

Disney recently re-upped Stephanopoulos’ contract, but that may not be an impediment to moving him out of “GMA.”

“It’s the Disney way,”  said a longtime former Disney exec. “They re-sign your contract then they move you out.”

“GMA,” the perennial mornings ratings champion, has been in a slump, trailing NBC’s “Today” in viewership since the fall.

In the last week of January, “NBC “Today” — which recently named Craig Melvin as co-host alongside Savannah Gurthie following Hoda Kotb’s exit — reeled in 2.7 million total viewers and 705,000 in the key 25-to-54 demo. “GMA” drew 2.66 million viewers and 459,000 in the demo during the same period.

Ryan Seacrest is SLAMMED for ‘being such a d***’ while speaking to contestants on the newest episode of American Idol

    He was not America’s favorite.

Ryan Seacrest was slammed by “American Idol” fans for being a “d–k” to a couple of the show’s competitors during Monday’s episode.

Seacrest was attacked by viewers in a viral Reddit thread after telling contestant Michael Williams that he might be going home following his performance of Selena Gomez’s “Lose You to Love Me.”

“You sang ‘Lose You to Love Me,’” said the host. “We might lose you tonight.”

The comment sparked an immediate backlash against the TV personality and mogul.

“‘We might lose you tonight’ was so nasty omg,” commented one Reddit user.

“Ryan not softening any blows lmao,” quipped another.

A third person simply stated that Seacrest’s comment was just “evil.”

Seacrest — who hosted “Idol” during the show’s original run from 2002 to 2016 — also faced backlash on Twitter for the way he reportedly manipulated singer Olivia Soli into believing she was in the show’s top 12 when she actually was not.

“F–K how Ryan Seacrest told Oliva Soli that she wasn’t in the top 12. He made her believe she was in, we were ALL confused,” ranted another user. “THIS is why you need to just say ‘You’re in or your not in’ instead of this bitch ass trickery, OK? DAMN.”

The Post has reached out for comment from Seacrest, who recently made an “emotional” exit from daytime talker “Live With Kelly and Ryan” after six years alongside co-host Kelly Ripa.

Some users rushed to the 48-year-old’s defense, claiming he was doing an amazing job on the show.

“Hardest working man in television, imo,” stated another Reddit poster.

“You are truly a professional. No better host. We’ve never missed an episode of American Idol and you are one of the reasons,” gushed a Twitter user.

“Idol” is no stranger to fans lashing out over seemingly inappropriate behavior.

Judge Katy Perry, 38, has been taken to task numerous times by fans for making nasty comments about certain competitors.

On Sunday, the “I Kissed a Girl” singer was slammed for being “dismissive” of another contestant after one of her favorites had been eliminated.

Perry’s woes began earlier this month when she appeared to be “rude and condescending” to 25-year-old contestant Sara Beth Liebe.

Fans accused Perry of “mom shaming” her into eventually quitting the show.

The “California Gurls” singer was then accused of waging “psychological warfare” against two top 12 contestants and was also booed after critiquing an outfit worn by another singer.
