Wheel of Fortune fans have staunchly defended Vanna White over her ongoing contract negotiations ahead of the new series – and claimed Ryan Seacrest will ‘tank’ the show.

The program’s official Instagram account sparked furious backlash after uploading a snap earlier this week to promote the latest season premiering on September 11 – which will be Pat Sajak’s last.

It featured the 76-year-old standing side-by-side with beaming co-host White, 66, and was shared alongside a playful caption that read: ’41 never looked so good.’

But, rather than stirring up enthusiasm for the upcoming shows, the post was instead flooded with comments about White’s ongoing contract negotiations following the news that Seacrest, 48, would be taking over from Sajak in 2024.

Wheel of Fortune fans rushed to the comments to share their thoughts on the situation – and did not hold back.

One wrote: ‘Probably the last season since Ryan Seacrest will tank it and you won’t give Vanna a raise.’

Another asked: ‘Does Vanna get a pay raise this season?’

And a third said: ‘Great job you two!!! She needs a raise already!!! What are you waiting for??? Do it!!!’

The outpouring of support for White comes just weeks after DailyMail.com exclusively revealed that she felt Wheel Of Fortune bosses considered her to be ‘replaceable.’

The TV personality believes there is also a ‘lack of respect for her’ after the show hired Seacrest as Sajak’s successor – less than two weeks after the longtime host publicly announced he was stepping down – without offering her a chance to take on the role.

An insider said: ‘She was disappointed that they didn’t give her more of a chance to take over Pat’s job, or that she wasn’t able to give her two cents on the replacement.

‘She didn’t assume they would be making the announcement of his replacement so soon.’

Wheel of Fortune fans rushed to the comments to share their thoughts on the situation – and did not hold back

The source was quick to emphasize White had ‘nothing but respect for Ryan and will be happy to work with him, but it just shows a lack of respect in her eyes that they have for her.’

‘She wants to be with the show for as long as she wants to be on the show, on her terms. She believes she deserves it,’ the source added.

‘It is a major uphill battle, especially when money is involved and she sees the writing on the wall that they think she is replaceable.

‘There will be lots of negotiations, but if she gets replaced and is not given a new contract, she will be beyond heartbroken.

‘This has been her life, it would be just as powerful as a death if she doesn’t continue with the show.’

Sajak announced in July that he would be retiring in 2024.

‘Well, the time has come. I’ve decided that our 41st season, which begins in September, will be my last,’ he wrote on Twitter at the time.

It was followed shortly after by a personal announcement from Seacrest to reveal he would be helming the show after Season 41 wraps up in June next year.

‘I’m truly humbled to be stepping into the footsteps of the legendary Pat Sajak,’ he said in a statement on social media.

‘I can say, along with the rest of America, that it’s been a privilege and pure joy to watch Pat and Vanna on our television screens for an unprecedented 40 years, making us smile every night and feel right at home with them.’

Seacrest went on to write a heartfelt message to the longtime frontman of the show.

‘Pat, I love the way you’ve always celebrated the contestants and made viewers at home feel at ease. I look forward to learning everything I can from you during this transition,’ he said.

Seacrest added: ‘I can’t wait to continue the tradition of spinning the wheel and working alongside the great Vanna White.’

White first joined Wheel of Fortune in 1982 when she was 25 years old and has been the presenter opposite Sajak ever since.

It is thought that White’s contract negotiations are still ongoing.

Seacrest will reportedly continue to host American Idol and his KIIS-FM radio show, On Air With Ryan Seacrest.

‘I can have my own house and fix it up pretty and clean and feel safe. Not anything fancy or big, just a little cottage or something with one or two bedrooms,’ she said.

She won a four-day, three-night stay in New York City, which she told the North Carolina Lottery that it was not only her first time in the Big Apple, but also her first time on an airplane.

‘I cried on the plane ride and I cried at the Statue of Liberty. It’s just been so incredible,’ she said.

The Powerball’s First Millionaire promotion was included the North Carolina Education Lottery and 22 other official state lotteries.

Pamela won a second-chance drawing to win her trip to New York City along with four other finalists.

Aubrey Paige is keeping up her Instagram profile after her split from Ryan Seacrest.

Despite their separation revealed in April, the American Idol host’s former partner continues to share content on her social media channel. “After three beautiful years together, Ryan and Aubrey have mutually decided to part ways,” a source said.

“They intend to remain good friends and support each other’s future ventures,” the insider told PEOPLE in April. Although they haven’t publicly acknowledged their breakup, both Ryan and Aubrey continue to update their respective social channels as normal.

A recent post by Aubrey might subtly hint at her emotional state following the breakup, with a reference to “good wishes for others”. Recently, a contestant named Vivian was on the show, and she lost the $1 million bonus round prize. When she lost, Ryan chuckled somewhat and said, “You were so close to that million dollars. You almost had it.” He went on to remind her that she did win $27,300 and a trip to Europe.

Drew Carey was “overcome with grief” after the death of his ex-fiancée Dr Amie Harwick. The pair were engaged for about a year before the two split up in 2018. Harwick, 38, was a well-known Hollywood therapist. On February 15, 2020, the doctor was found unresponsive beneath a third-story balcony at her home in Hollywood Hills, California.

Harwick was allegedly murdered by an ex-boyfriend Gareth Pursehouse, 41, after the restraining order she took out against him expired. Shortly after the news, the production for The Price Is Right was halted as Carey grieved Harwick’s death. “Amie and I had a love that people are lucky to have once in a lifetime,” the game show host said in a statement at the time.

Adele has announced she will be hosting next week’s Saturday Night Live.The chart-topping singer surprised fans with the news on Sunday, revealing she will host the long-running sketch show for the first time.

American singer-songwriter H.E.R is the musical guest. Adele’s October 24 hosting appears to hint that the Grammy winner has new music on the way.

Writing on Instagram, Adele said she is “so excited” and “absolutely terrified”.

She wrote: “Bloooooody hellllll I’m so excited about this!! And also absolutely terrified! My first ever hosting gig and for SNL of all things!!!! I’ve always wanted to do it as a stand alone moment, so that I could roll up my sleeves and fully throw myself into it, but the time has never been right.

Adele previously appeared as a musical guest on Saturday Night Live in October 2008, also on the eve of the presidential election, and in November 2015.

Breaking character! Colin Jost and Scarlett Johansson’s relationship is one for the ages — but the Saturday Night Live star was caught off guard when his wife was impersonated during the Saturday, December 10, episode.

“A new book aimed at helping married couples rekindle the spark in the bedroom is showing up on several holiday must-have lists [and] here are its authors, Kurt and Deb from Wyoming,” Jost, 40, announced during Saturday’s “Weekend Update” segment before cast members Mikey Day and Chloe Fineman took the stage.

The two comedians portrayed a couple who have attributed the duration of their 12-year marriage to trying new ways to spice up their sex life.

“Things kind of fizzled out in bed but we discovered that my wife’s got a talent for doing voices of famous people,” Day, 42, quipped, referring to Fineman’s own arsenal of impressions. “So, we took that into the bedroom. … Yeah, [it’s like role-playing] but with celebrities.”

Day and Fineman, 34, then replicated their characters’ dirty talk, which included the Father of the Bride actress bringing out her impersonations of Drew Barrymore, Anna Delvey, Meryl Streep and the Black Widow star, 38.

“She can do, what’s her name? Scarlett Johansson,” Day admitted after “Weekend Update” coanchor Michael Che asked if she can “do any Black ones.” Day and Fineman immediately pointed at Jost, who wed the Marvel star in October 2020. “Do you know her,” Day jokingly asked the Tom & Jerry actor. “Have you seen that movie Under Her Skin?”

The Staten Island, New York, native fidgeted with his gold wedding band before informing “Kurt” and “Deb” that the movie is actually titled Under The Skin, referring to Johansson’s 2013 film.

“Of course, you know what it’s called! Look at you, correcting me,” Day replied, shaking the SNL head writer, who rested his head in his hands. “[That part at] 24 minutes, 11 seconds? Woo, alright!”

Fineman then got in on the action, performing her version of the Nanny Diaries star, who was first linked to Jost in May 2017. “Hey, I’m married to Colin, but I need a real man,” the Jane the Virgin alum joked in her impression.

Jost, for his part, couldn’t stop laughing as Fineman gyrated on Day’s lap after being called “Black Widow.”

Jost and Johansson — who initially met during one of the Lucy star’s SNL hosting gigs — have since expanded their brood, welcoming son Cosmo in August 2021.

“Colin’s mom had a little bit of a harder time with it. She kept suggesting other versions of it for a while,” Johansson — who also coparents 8-year-old daughter Rose with ex-husband Romain Dauriac — said during an appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show in September. “Cosmo is a really sweet little flower that comes in different shades of orange and yellow and stuff like that. That’s why [Rose] liked it too.”

While the married couple keep their family life private, a source exclusively told Us Weekly in October that the A Very Punchable Face author is a “hands-on dad” to both Cosmo and Rose.

“They’re very into their privacy and downtime in the Hamptons, where they have a tight-knit support team and a wonderful laid-back lifestyle that they wouldn’t trade for the world,” the insider noted at the time. “They’re just a very laid-back, functional pair who have a ton of mutual respect. It works fairly seamlessly and Scarlett’s extremely happy.”

Michael Che And Kendrick Lamar Might’ve Been Pushed Into A Beef Following The ‘SNL’ Weekend Update’s ‘Joke Swap’

Kendrick Lamar is the self-proclaimed Boogeyman of rap, but does that extend to the comedian space. While the “Not Like Us” rapper’s feud with Drake is officially over, yesterday (May 17) his next foe might have stepped up to the plate during Saturday Night Live‘s season finale.

To go out with a bang, Colin Jost used the beloved ‘Weekend Update’ segment’s joke swap to rile things up for his co-anchor, Michael Che. As the duo traded off-kilter and at times outright insensitive lines, Che unknowingly walked directly into a potential feud with Kendrick while discussing the rapper’s recent war of words.

“And speaking of b*tches, I wanna call out the biggest b*tches of them all, Kendrick Lamar,” he joked. “Or should I say littlest? Your war with Drake may be over. But your war with Michael Che is just beginning. So, to quote ‘Hamilton,’ shoot your shot player.”

Based on Che’s hesitation to read the script, it is clear Che has kept up with Kendrick’s lethal lines. Although he didn’t want to poke the bear, seemingly out of fear of Kendrick’s reaction, Che was a good sport and powered through the hilarious callout. He then took a moment to praise Jost for the clever setup. “That was pretty well done,” he laughed.
