Colin Jost recalls which qualities of his wife Scarlett Johansson made him initially fall in love with her.

The Saturday Night Live star, 42, opened up to The New York Times about his love for the Avengers actress, 39, in an interview from Saturday, July 13. “I think part of the reason I fell in love with her is she’s a great mom,” the comedian revealed.

The couple, who tied the knot in October 2020, share 2-year-old son Cosmo. Johansson is also a mom to daughter Rose Dorothy, 9, whom she shares with her ex-husband Romain Dauriac.

“I’ve known Rose, my stepdaughter, since she was 2,” Jost told the outlet. “It’s weird. You get to actually preview someone as a mom.”

The actress recently revealed to PEOPLE that while the Marvel Cinematic Universe has millions of fans worldwide, her daughter isn’t one of them.

While chatting with PEOPLE for last week’s issue, the Black Widow star revealed that the 9-year-old is “too scared” to watch her mom’s Marvel movies.

“She likes that I play Black Widow, but she’s too scared to watch an Avengers movie,” Johansson told PEOPLE. “She’s just like, ‘It’s violent.’ I’m like, ‘Oh God.”

However, when it comes to Johansson’s most recent film Fly Me to The Moon, Rose is very excited to watch. “I think she’s excited about the hair and makeup mostly,” the mom of two said. “It’s just so fun… She’s girly.”

Jost briefly makes a cameo in Johannson’s new film in a hilarious scene midway through the movie, and the actress said director Greg Berlanti personally requested him for the part.

“[He] was like, ‘Do you think Colin would want to do…?’ Greg and Colin, they have a great rapport and they’re both comedy writers and, I think, they have a little bit of a similar personality in some ways. And so I think he just really was excited to have Colin come and do a cameo. I was like, ‘Yeah, I’m sure if you ask him, I’m not going to ask him,’ ” Johansson said.

Acting together was a treat, she told PEOPLE: “We don’t get to work together really ever because… I mean, we’ve worked together as he’s written stuff for me for SNL, but we never get to perform together.”

According to a report from Puck News, they shared that NBC executives asked her to take a pay cut. Hoda reportedly makes upwards of $20 million per year. This report has not been verified by NBC.

“NBC executives loved Hoda and knew her value to the brand, but also made clear to her agents that such stratospheric contracts were no longer justifiable given the industry’s inexorable decline, due in part to the steep ratings decline affecting Today and competitors like Good Morning America,” Puck said.

Hoda will leave TODAY and this is the person who will replace her

When is Hoda’s last day with TODAY and who is replacing her? What to know

While little has been revealed about her future plans, Kotb’s move marks a major shift after several years with the company

TODAY co-anchor Hoda Kotb will exit the NBC show this month after the beloved host announced earlier this year in an emotional moment on live television that she was planning to step down.

While little has been revealed about her future plans, Kotb’s move marks a major shift after several years with the company.

Kotb has been part of the fabric at NBC News for nearly three decades. She previously worked at “Dateline,” and as the co-host of the fourth hour of TODAY with Kathie Lee Gifford and then Jenna Bush Hager.

Here’s what to know about her final hosting appearances:

    When is Hoda’s last day?

Kotb will say goodbye to her morning duties on Jan. 10.

Who is replacing Hoda Kotb on TODAY?

Craig Melvin, who has been with NBC News for nearly 14 years, is moving into the co-anchor seat alongside Savannah Guthrie for the 7 and 8 a.m. hours. He will begin Monday, Jan. 13.

    Why is Hoda leaving TODAY?

Kotb said she had the realization during her 60th birthday celebration on the show.

“I have some news,” Kotb said holding back tears as co-anchor Savannah Guthrie held her hand. “So I was doing the math, and I realized that I had spent 26 years at NBC. And I just turned 60.”

Kotb went on to say her milestone birthday was a “monumental moment.”

“I started thinking about that decade,” Kotb said. “Like, what’s that decade going to mean, what does it hold for me, what’s it going to have for me? And I realized that it was time for me to turn the page at 60, and to try something new.”

She noted a specific moment where she knew she had to make a decision.

“I remembered standing outside looking at these beautiful bunch of people with these gorgeous signs, and I thought, ‘This is what the top of the wave feels like for me.’ And I thought it can’t get better, and I decided that this is the right time for me to kind of move on.”

‘Time for me to leave the show:’ Read Hoda’s full letter announcing TODAY departure

Kotb added that her daughters, Haley, 7, and Hope 5, factored into the decision.

“Obviously I had my kiddos late in life, and I was thinking that they deserve a bigger piece of my time pie that I have,” she said. “I feel like we only have a finite amount of time.”

“And so, with all that being said, this is the hardest thing in the world,” Kotb said as she wiped away a tear.

What is Hoda Kotb doing after TODAY?

Kotb said she planned to stay in the “NBC family,” but didn’t elaborate further.

    What do her coworkers say?

During Kotb’s announcement on live TV, Guthrie, holding back tears of her own, responded by saying “we don’t want to imagine this place without you.”

“You have so much guts. You inspire me,” Guthrie said. Guthrie added, softly that she also dreams bigger for herself.

Jenna Hager Bush, sitting opposite Guthrie, told Kotb “It’s not over” as she held a tissue in her lap.

“You don’t leave family,” Kotb responded.

As the emotional moments continued, Guthrie took a moment to try and clarify things.

“I have to let people know, she’s not leaving the NBC family,” Guthrie said. “You will see her, and we will see her.”

Guthrie then looks Kotb in the eye. “Right? You told me that right?,” Gurthrie said.

    “Yes,” Kotb nodded. “I promise.”

Guthrie concluded by calling Kotb the show’s “sunshine.”

“We love you enough to you go shine right after your dreams and find this next chapter,” Guthrie said. “We can’t wait to see what you do. We’ll just be here waiting for you.”

Kotb also shared an emotional letter with TODAY staff on Sept. 26, about her decision to step down, TODAY.com reported.

The full letter can be found below:

    To my TODAY family,

As I write this, my heart is all over the map. I know I’m making the right decision, but it’s a painful one. And you all are the reason why. They say two things can be right at the same time, and I’m feeling that so deeply right now. I love you and it’s time for me to leave the show.

My time at NBC has been the longest professional love affair of my life. But only because you’ve been beside me on this twenty-six-year adventure. Looking back, the math is nuts. 26 years at NBC News – Ten years at Dateline, seven on the seven o’clock hour, sixteen on the ten o’clock hour. I’m picturing your faces and your families and all the ways you’ve lifted me up and inspired me. That’s my heart singing. So many of my professional relationships have become some of my most cherished friendships. Savannah: my rock. Jenna: my ride-or-die. Al: my longest friend at 30 Rock. Craig, Carson, Sheinelle and Dylan: my family. Libby, Mazz and Talia: my fearless leaders. I will miss each and every one of you at TODAY desperately.

I’ve been weighing this decision for quite a while – Am I truly ready? But, my sixtieth birthday celebration on the Plaza felt like a shift. Like a massive, joyful YES, you are! I saw it all so clearly: my broadcast career has been beyond meaningful, a new decade of my life lies ahead, and now my daughters and my mom need and deserve a bigger slice of my time pie. I will miss you all desperately, but I’m ready and excited.

Because I’ll be working through the beginning of 2025, there’s plenty of time to talk about what’s ahead for all of us. But one thing I know for sure right now is this: everything’s going to be just fine. The Peacock’s feathers are never ruffled… no matter who comes or goes. TODAY and its amazing people — all of you — never waver. You always weather change with grace and guts.

Happily and gratefully, I plan to remain a part of the NBC family, the longest work relationship I’ve been lucky enough to hold close to my heart. I’ll be around. How could I not? Family is family and you all will always be a part of mine.

    Love,

    Hoda

Hoda Kotb is ready to start a new chapter after saying goodbye to NBC’s Today.

The TV personality announced on September 26 that she was departing the morning show after nearly 30 years working for the network. “I just turned 60, and it was such a monumental moment for me when I turned 60 years old because I started thinking about that decade, like, what does that decade mean? What does it hold? What’s it gonna have for me?” she tearfully announced on-air. “And I realized that it was time for me to turn the page at 60 and to try something new.”

At the time, Kotb also noted that her role as a mother influenced her decision. “I had my kiddos late in life, and I was thinking they deserve a bigger piece of my time, the pie that I have,” she explained. “I feel like we only have a finite amount of time. And so, with all that being said, this is the hardest thing in the world.” (Kotb shares her daughters, Haley and Hope, with ex-fiancé Joel Schiffman.)

Kotb will wrap up her run on Today with a special “Hoda-bration” episode on January 10, after which Craig Melvin will take over her role as Savannah Guthrie’s coanchor. Jenna Bush Hager will continue to cohost the fourth hour with a rotating panel of guest hosts until a permanent replacement is picked.

How the Today Hosts Reacted to Hoda Kotb Announcing She's Leaving the NBC Morning Show

Today alums such as Katie Couric and Tamron Hall have gone on to host their own TV shows or move on to other series, as Deborah Norville did with Inside Edition. While Kotb has not announced any official upcoming projects, she has teased that the next era of her career could take place both on and off the small screen.

On the October 25 episode of Today With Hoda & Jenna, Kotb revealed that she plans to dive into the world of wellness after bidding farewell to Today.

“I don’t know if you’ve ever had a yearning, a calling, a desire, and you can’t quit it, even if you try, because working at NBC is safer. … But sometimes, you know there’s something else that you want to try in your life,” she explained. “And I have been so turned on by the wellness space because I realized what was happening to me. I tried different things and I noticed my body was calmer. I was getting sick less. I was feeling better. I was a better parent, a better friend, a better sister, a better daughter. And I thought, all these tiny things I was doing day after day were helping to change me inside.”

In addition to pursuing wellness, Kotb has continuously gushed about looking forward to more time with her kids after leaving Today. Since moving outside of New York City earlier this year, Kotb has gushed about experiencing suburban milestones such as walking her kids to school, taking them trick-or-treating and hosting holidays in her new home.

“I’m so excited because to have stockings hung in a place that you know will be the place where they’re gonna be hanging for years — we just, for the first time, decided where the tree was gonna go, and we know from this day on, this is where it’s gonna go — all these cool things,” she said on the December 24 episode of Hoda & Jenna ahead of celebrating Christmas with her girls, her mom, Sameha, her sister, Hala, and Schiffman. “We decked our house out, like, all those kinds of neat things.”

Hoda Kotb is preparing to say goodbye as a co-anchor and co-host of the TODAY show

Get the tissues ready! It’s almost Hoda Kotb’s last day at the TODAY show.

Back in September, Hoda announced she was stepping down from her role with TODAY but would remain a part of the NBC family. She said she planned to spend more time with her young daughters Hayley and Hope.

Hoda has spent more than five years as co-anchor with Savannah Guthrie. She worked at “Dateline” before becoming co-host of the fourth hour of TODAY with Kathie Lee Gifford followed by partnering with Jenna Bush Hager.

Her goodbye announcement in September was filled with tears.

“It’s kind of a big deal for me,” she said through tears. “I’ve been practicing so I wouldn’t cry, but anyway, I did.”
Hoda Hotb is stepping away from the “Today” show. The longtime NBC news anchor made the announcement during the second hour of the “Today” show on Thursday, Sept. 26.
Hoda just celebrated her 60th birthday in August and said “it was time for me to turn the page at 60, and to try something new.”

    When is Hoda’s last day?

Hoda Kotb’s last day as a co-anchor and co-host on the TODAY show will be Friday, Jan. 10.

She will remain a part of the NBC family after she steps down from her role.

When is Hoda’s last week on TODAY?

Hoda’s last week on the TODAY show will begin on Monday, Jan. 6 and promises to be a “Hoda-bration” full with plenty of celebration for the legendary journalist.

Are there any celebrations for Hoda?

The TODAY show will no doubt be celebrating their friend and colleague in style.

On Dec. 18, Jenna Bush Hager shared on TODAY with Hoda & Jenna that her co-host will be celebrated the entire week leading up to her last day, which is set for Friday, Jan. 10, in the new year.

“You all know that Hoda’s last day is January 10, right? We’re celebrating you the whole week before,” Jenna said before turning to Hoda and saying there’s a “big announcement.”

She then revealed a very special celebration for Hoda’s last day.

“We are having a Hoda-bration for Hoda’s final show, and guess what? We’re going to have a live audience,” Jenna revealed.

    “Wait what?!” Hoda exclaimed.

Jenna added that the show will happen live from Studio 8G at 30 Rockefeller Plaza in New York City, which is where “Late Night with Seth Meyers” is filmed.

“There will be big surprises, lots of surprises that Hoda won’t even know about,” Jenna said, adding that she hopes she can get through it without crying.

Tickets to see the live show went on sale but registration is now closed.

Plenty of surprises for the viewers and Hoda might happen as well. But you can be sure there will be plenty of love, laughter and tears on the TODAY Plaza and in Studio 1A the week of January 6.

Ainsley Earhardt’s ex-husband speaks out about the divorce after Sean Hannity Proposes to Fellow Fox News Host

EXCLUSIVE: ‘I am NOT a cheat.’ Ainsley Earhardt’s husband files for divorce and furiously denies claim he slept with her best friend, saying it was Fox & Friends host who ‘moved on’

Ainsley Earhardt is headed for the divorce court for a second time, DailyMail.com can reveal.

The Fox & Friends host’s husband filed papers on Wednesday to end their six-year marriage just hours after DailyMail.com revealed that the pair had split.

And former college quarterback Will Proctor steadfastly denied that he had cheated on the blonde morning anchor with one of her best friends.

‘There is not one ounce of truth to the allegation that I had an affair,’ Proctor said in a statement to DailyMail.com

‘I am devastated about this situation and did not envision this for the future of our family,’ he added.

‘I remain focused on and committed to being the best dad, and maintaining a friendship with my wife even though she has decided to move on,’ Proctor, 34, said. The couple have one daughter, Hayden, who turns three next month.

‘This morning I filed an action for divorce,’ he said. ‘This is a very personal matter, and for the sake of our young daughter, I ask that the media respect the privacy of our family.’

Friends said that Proctor and Earhardt, 42, had even talked about working towards a reconciliation – but now any hope that the couple could get back together has been blown out the window.

‘Her social life now revolves around her colleagues at Fox News,’ one source told DailyMail.com.

Proctor, who was starting quarterback for Clemson and is now a private credit investment advisor at the New York financial firm Neuberger Berman, is understood to be particularly upset that his wife uses their daughter to promote her image.

She regularly posts pictures of Hayden on her social media accounts and the little girl has even featured on Fox & Friends.

DailyMail.com revealed late Tuesday that Earhardt, who stars alongside Steve Doocy and Brian Kilmeade on President Trump’s favorite cable news show, had split from her eight-years-younger husband.

Friends of hers claimed the couple had failed to work through an affair he had had several years ago with a woman Earhardt had regarded as one of her best friends.

‘After much prayer and careful consideration, Will and I have separated,’ she said in a statement.

‘I am grateful to Fox for their support and allowing me to spend all day, every day after the morning show with my child.

‘I am fully committed to parenting and doing what is always best for my darling little girl and would appreciate privacy and prayers during this difficult time.’

Earhardt co-hosted the show on Wednesday without making any mention of her marriage.

The couple are now living in separate apartments just 12 blocks from each other on New York’s Upper East Side.

Sources close to Earhardt say the couple split after trying for years to piece their marriage back together following her husband’s alleged affair.

‘It was all the more devastating for Ainsley that he cheated with someone who she considered one of her closest friends,’ Earhardt’s friend said.

‘Any marriage break-up is difficult but this made it extra heartwrenching for her.

‘She has evidence that proves the affair,’ the source added, although she would not go into what that evidence is.

The couple met on a blind date and married in Proctor’s home town of Winter Park, Florida, in 2012, three years after Earhardt divorced her high school sweetheart Kevin McKinney, whom she had married in 2005 in San Antonio, Texas.

The couple were regularly pictured together at social events, but in recent months, Earhardt has dropped any mention of her husband.

When she celebrated her September 20 birthday on air with Fox & Friends co-hosts Steve Doocy and Brian Kilmeade, his name was never brought up. Instead Earhardt said her sister – teacher Elise, who lives in Charleston, South Carolina – was helping her raise Hayden.

And in a profile with Elle Magazine in August, he was similarly airbrushed out of her life.

Even in a piece she did with My Morning Routine in which she detailed her life from the moment she got up, she neither said anything nor was she asked about her husband.

‘I wake up around 3:00am when my alarm goes off, and I snooze for a few minutes. When I finally roll out of bed, I check the baby monitor to make sure that Hayden, my daughter, is okay,’ she said.

Work and family: Ainsley Earhardt used a statement to DailyMail.com to thanks Fox for allowing her to devote her day to her daughter Hayden, two. Earlier this year she reported from the wedding of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry at St George's Chapel, Windsor

‘After I get up, I get ready and go into the kitchen before I leave to grab either a cup of coffee or a glass of water. I make sure to get all my ducks in a row before I head out the door and go to work.

‘On my way to work, I read my Jesus Calling daily devotion and put in earbuds and listen to hymns. Once I’ve read my devotion, I read through what’s coming up on the show one more time (because I’ve studied it the night before).’

At night, she said she likes to go to bed around 9 pm — ‘but that never happens. My daughter likes to stay up as late as possible—she gets that from me.

‘I’m a night owl and I love alone time when the house is finally quiet.’

Earhardt, suffered what Elle called ‘a wrenching miscarriage’ before her successful pregnancy. Now, friends say, her life revolves around her daughter and her faith.

‘Everytime I call her she has to put the phone down to get something for Hayden,’ one friend said.

Sources in the apartment building where Proctor lives say they often see him with his daughter.

Earhardt made her name on Fox News reporting her ‘Ainsley Across America’ segment for network star Sean Hannity after joining the network in 2007.

She then joined the new show Fox & Friends First and learned she had got her current job while on maternity leave after having Hayden.

She joined the show on the day before ‘Super Tuesday’ when Trump effectively locked up the Republican nomination for president.

Earhardt claims she always knew she was destined for fame. In the Elle interview, she said she had planned to be an orthodontist, but secretly longed to live in a big city such as New York or Los Angeles.

‘I remember asking God, Why was I born into this family in South Carolina? she said. ‘Which sounds awful. I love my family. But the way I grew up, you go to New York to visit maybe once in your life.’

She visited the Big Apple with a church group during her sophomore year at the University of South Carolina and woke at 3 a.m. one morning to go to the Today show where she held up a sign saying ‘Will you marry me, Matt Lauer?’ Shortly after she changed her major to journalism.

He only suited up three times for the Stampeders. His last match was the 2008 Grey Cup final in which his team beat the Alouettes by 22-14. He retired from football six months later.

Pat Sajak posts and deletes angry rant calling fans ‘lazy’ as Vanna White inks major deal

PAT Sajak has posted and deleted a scathing social media take accusing people of becoming too lazy.

He took it down just before Wheel of Fortune announced Vanna White settled her salary demands and will remain co-host when he retires.

Pat, 76, posted to X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday: “Alexa…what was I too lazy to learn and will forget anyway in less than a minute after you answer?”

The scathing post about reliance on the Amazon device was not met well by game show fans.

One fan replied: “Pat…” with an eyeball-looking emoji.

Another follower argued: “Even pre-Alexa, people would Google things instead of looking them up.

Pat then deleted the post a day later, perhaps because he didn’t want it to seem like he was shading Vanna’s big news.

    VANNA’S BIG WIN

On Tuesday, it was announced that Vanna, 66, had settled her pay raise demands.

After months of tense contract negotiations, Vanna struck a deal and will stay at the puzzle board after Pat retires to make way for Ryan Seacrest.

Her contract will run for an additional two years and will see her continue through the 2025-2026 season, Deadline reported.

The news comes as the show just kicked off Season 41 last week, which will be the last for host Pat after 40 years.

By signing her new deal, Vanna will provide continuity, Deadline noted.

She will be there for Ryan, who will take over for Pat next fall, for at least two years.

It’s currently unknown how much Vanna will be making, but it’s welcome news to fans that she isn’t going anywhere, as she expressed no interest in retiring like Pat.

Entering her third year as the show’s ambassador to fans is Social Media Correspondent Maggie Sajak, 28 – who also inked a deal per the outlet.

She will hit the road for a recurring “Fan Fridays” segment that will feature the second-generation Sajak touring the US, Europe, and more.

Meanwhile, Wheel updated its puzzle board in 2023, switching out touchable letters for ones controlled remotely, so technically, Vanna’s touch is no longer needed.

‘IF YOU FIGHT THIS YOU WILL LOSE YOUR JOB’

When Pat announced his retirement after Season 41 last June, reports began circulating that Vanna did want to stay on the show, but that she was requesting a pay raise.

Vanna – who began turning letters in 1982 – reportedly made half of what Pat makes and hadn’t gotten a raise in 18 years.

People previously confirmed that Vanna made about $3million annually.

According to the outlet, Pat makes about $15million annually.

According to a report from Puck News, Vanna hired an “aggressive new lawyer” upon his retirement news since come 2024, her contract was up.

Sources told People she was asking for a 50 percent pay raise at least.

“50 percent of Pat’s salary is so outrageous that no one in their right mind could say that it’s fair.

The negotiation is asking for much more than 50 percent of his salary. It’s asking for the same pay – if not more,” they said.

But it wasn’t easy for Vanna to come to the table, sources claimed to the outlet.

“Vanna was told, ‘If you fight this, you will lose your job. You’re lucky to have the job.’ And when people tell you that for so long, you believe it,” before adding that Vanna was ready to fight for her future.

“She’s a really, really sweet person. She deserves so much more.”

Negotiations between Vanna and Sony had become “very difficult,” an insider also claimed to TMZ.

Another source claimed the hostess “feels like it’s a statement for all women” and is reportedly negotiating for “a minimum of what is fair.”

It was then reported by TMZ that Vanna did settle for Celebrity Wheel of Fortune; she’ll make $100,000 per episode while Pat makes $400,000.

    PAT’S A WRAP!

On June 12, Pat told fans in a personal note on X: “Well, the time has come. I’ve decided that our 41st season, which begins in September, will be my last.

“It’s been a wonderful ride, and I’ll have more to say in the coming months.”

Pat will host until June 2024, when he will step down in place of Seacrest.

Ryan shared in a statement reveling in the news: “I can’t wait to continue the tradition of spinning the wheel and working alongside the great Vanna White.”

    ‘I LOVE MY JOB’

Vanna hinted she wasn’t looking to follow in Pat’s footsteps when he made his June announcement.

Her only statement was a post to X: “When we started @WheelofFortune who could have imagined we’d still be at it 41 seasons later?

“I couldn’t be happier to have shared the stage with you for all these years with one more to come. Cheers to you, @patsajak!”

Vanna also called the idea of retiring depressing in an interview before Pat’s major news.

“That’s depressing. I don’t even want to think about it,” she said last year to People.

“It’s incredible. I cannot believe it’s been 40 years. Honestly, I’ve loved every minute of it,” she said.

“Who still says they love their job after 40 years? Me!”

[BREAKING NEWS] Vanna White and ‘Wheel Of Fortune’ have another conflict when she continues to make an unreasonable request

‘Wheel Of Fortune’ Vanna White Is Going To Demand Raise?

    Vanna White YouTube

hostWheel Of Fortune co-host, Vanna White, may be demanding a pay raise here soon. She has been the famous tile-turner for 41 years. Fans love her and feel she is one of the things that keeps the show together. However, she may be demanding something from producers very soon. Keep reading to find out more about this.

    Ryan Seacrest Increases Viewers

Ryan Seacrest took over hosting Wheel Of Fortune after Pat Sajak retired. Fans were unsure about this change. This is due to the fact that Pat was a staple for the game show. Ryan was also a little shaky when he first started. However, he has learned the ropes and is doing much better now. In fact, Ryan has brought an increase in viewers since joining the show. It is also rumored that he is getting ready to get a “giant” raise and a long-term contract that will keep him around for a while.

Vanna White To Demand Pay Raise

The co-host may be demanding a pay raise when Ryan Seacrest gets his. A source made some claims.

“For the time being, Vanna is staying with the show, but the suddenly increased viewership is enough to make her question the deal she’s been under. Everybody expects that [Vanna will] follow suit and ask for more money sooner rather than later.”

It seems Vanna has been being paid way less than the main host. It was reported that Pat Sajak made $15 million a year while Vanna made $3 million. She is ready for a change. However, fans are curious to see what she will do if she does not get the raise she hopes. Viewers would love to see her stick around for a while longer. However, it is understandable if she leaves due to being underpaid for her work over the years.

It seems that the source claims she is going to ask for a raise when Ryan gets his. Fans think this is only fair since she has been there so long. Also because they have an increase in viewers which means more money. Vanna is contracted to be the co-host until 2026. So, she is going to be around a little while longer regardless of whether she receives the raise or not. Do you think she deserves a raise? Do you think she is doing the right thing? Sound off in the comments below. We would love to hear your thoughts.

‘Wheel Of Fortune’ Why Fans Say Ryan Seacrest’s Days Are Numbered

    Wheel Of Fortune: Ryan Seacrest

New Wheel Of Fortune host Ryan Seacrest has been under an incredible amount of scrutiny since he took over for Pat Sajak. Even though he has put his best foot forward when it has come to the huge shoes to fill, many viewers are still rooting against him, with many saying that his days as the host are numbered. So, what are fans saying?

Wheel Of Fortune: Ryan Seacrest Stepped Into The Lion’s Den With New Gig

It is not a stretch to say that no one has been under a microscope the same way that Ryan Seacrest has been since taking over hosting duties on Wheel Of Fortune from Pat Sajak. Game show fans love tradition when it comes to their favorite game shows, and changing something like the host is a major deal that can easily make or break a program.

Even Ryan Seacrest has been open about feeling the pressure since he has been in the hot seat. Seacrest may have years of experience hosting shows like American Idol, but, taking on the world of Wheel Of Fortune is a completely different beast, as Ryan has found out since taking the job.

Fans Say Seacrest Is On Borrowed Time As The Game Show Host

Based on recent comments from Wheel Of Fortune fans, many already feel as though Ryan Seacrest has overstayed his welcome on the show. Recently, many commenters came forward with their thoughts on why they think this will be a short-lived gig for him.

One recent Wheel Of Fortune commenter said: “I’m sorry, but I can’t stomach Ryan. His delivery is smug and he seems so condescending.”
A second commenter chimed in, adding: “he’s trying but it just isn’t working.”
A third commenter added to the discussion, saying: “He’s definitely no Pat, but then again, no one is.”

Do Wheel Of Fortune Execs Have A Contingency Plan In Place?

While a lot of people may not like Ryan Seacrest as the new Wheel Of Fortune host, it seems that the game show brass may also be preparing a backup plan, just in case things don’t work out with the new host for the long haul.

One of the points of contention between Ryan Seacrest and the game show is that Wheel Of Fortune execs want Ryan’s undivided attention. Even though they may be willing to pay top dollar for his services, as many people know, Seacrest is also the face of American Idol.

However, it seems there is a backup plan in place to plug Maggie Sajak into the hosting gig if things don’t work out longterm with Ryan, and, based on a lot of fan comments, it seems many viewers would prefer that.
