In February, Ryan admitted to feeling the “pressure” and revealed the job wasn’t an opportunity he took lightly, especially as a viewer himself.

Wheel of Fortune fans declare Vanna White should have ‘retired with Pat Sajak’

Wheel of Fortune fans think that White’s run should have ended with Sajak’s as they doubt her chemistry with Ryan Seacrest will compare.

Wheel Of Fortune: Pat Sajak hands the reigns to Ryan Seacrest

Wheel of Fortune fans want to wipe the slate clean.

A source claimed earlier this month that Vanna White is apparently not enthusiastic about working with new host Ryan Seceacrest, and even wishes she could retire before her contract ends.

In response, fans took to Reddit to support the idea of White departing the show with Pat Sajak, who she worked with for over four decades.

“She should have retired along with Pat. They were a team and should have walked off into the sunset together,” one user said.

“I don’t blame her. I think that if she changed her mind about staying, fans would understand and possibly think even more highly of her for missing Pat,” another wrote.

    RYAN SEACREST

“Vanna did say she’d retire with Pat. Obviously that didn’t happen,” someone else commented in the replies.

“Sony fought tooth and nail to keep her, probably because they didn’t want a messy transition, a repeat of the Jeopardy fiasco,” another speculated.

Another user suggested that WOF get rid of White’s role altogether, an idea that someone contested.

“I really can’t see them do away with the role at this point, it’ll completely change the ‘feel’ of the show. Too much change can be bad. What they should do is expand the role somehow, so that they have more hosting duties. It’s too bad they already have an announcer, as that would be the perfect addition,” they replied.

    VANNA WHITE

The comments were a response to an interview an inside source gave with The Daily Mail, claiming that White isn’t getting along too well with Seacrest.

“Vanna is retiring from the show when her contract ends, but there is a part of her that wants to walk away sooner. It is just so difficult to do this without Pat,” the source said.

“She just doesn’t jibe with Ryan like she did with Pat, and no one really ever expected her to. There is just no way that she possibly could,” they added.

Apparently, White also has ideas about what direction she thinks WOF should go in next.

“Vanna feels that she has put her time in. She devoted her entire life to this show and she had an incredible run while making a fortune,” the insider shared.

“She knows that the show needs to go in a different direction and appeal to a younger demographic. She wants the show to continue. This will require a younger female host, someone who can be to Ryan what she was to Pat,” they added.

Wheel of Fortune’s Vanna White reportedly feels like a ‘third wheel’ during Ryan Seacrest’s brand new tenure as host of the iconic game show.

This doesn’t come as a major shock to fans, as she noted: “I thought maybe I should retire, too,” when her co-host of 40 plus years stepped away from the stage.

“But Ryan is a control freak,” the source claimed. “He finally told her he’s doing things his way and he’s not trying to be Pat Sajak!”

“So Vanna is again relegated to the background, but now it’s not with Pat, someone she knows and loves, but a new guy, Ryan.”

“It’s not that she doesn’t like Ryan, but her chemistry with Pat was just much more natural,” the source said: “With Ryan, it feels forced and she doesn’t want that to come across to loyal viewers — and producers fear the audience will notice it as well.”

Money is also an alleged issue for the leading woman of the fan-favorite ABC gameshow.

The seasoned star reportedly went 18 years without a raise in her salary before she fought for a new deal last year that nearly doubled her former $3 million salary.

Because that number is nothing compared to what Seacrest, 49, is bringing in, which is said to be upwards of $28 million, Vanna may be eyeing the exit before then.

Ever since Ryan Seacrest stepped in to fill Pat Sajak’s shoes as the host of Wheel of Fortune, fans have been speculating many issues with the new era of the show.

Most recently, fans are convinced that Seacrest and longtime hostess Vanna White are secretly beefing as he steps into the new role.

It was even rumored that White, who has been hosting alongside Sajak for all 43 years of his gameshow career, was feeling regretful that she didn’t retire with her former partner after working with the American Idol host.

One fan commented: “There’s no f-in way Vanna can stand Ryan. He’s a massive phony.”

“I don’t think i can believe anything I read in the news anymore!!! Last week I read that they can’t stand each other, and she is thinking about retiring because she doesn’t like how Ryan does the show. They look happy here,” another said.

A third viewer wrote: “Very disappointed that Wheel of Fortune chose Ryan Sescrest as Pat’s replacement. There is plenty talent to choose from. Even an unknown would have been better.”

A fourth angry fan said: “I will not be watching wheel of Fortune ever again – I absolutely cannot stand fakey Ryan Seacrest, and it’s absolutely time for Vanna to retire.”

Jeopardy! host Ken Jennings takes brutal swipe at New York Jets as fans make feelings clear

Following a miserable season for the team on the field, New York Jets fans unexpectedly saw their sorrow compounded after a swipe from host Ken Jennings on hit TV show “Jeopardy!”

Fans saw the funny side after “Jeopardy!” host Ken Jennings took a savage swipe at the continued struggles of the New York Jets – as he referenced the team’s agonizing wait for another Super Bowl appearance.

Ken Jennings - News, pictures and video - The Mirror US

Some 55 years have passed since Gang Green last contested football’s storied showpiece, with their only victory in the spectacle coming back in 1969. To date, that 16-7 win over the Baltimore Colts at the Orange Bowl stands as the franchise’s only Big Game triumph.

This current season has been a campaign to forget too for the Jets, with the dismissals of head coach Robert Salah and general Joe Douglas typifying a turbulent year. On the field, the Big Apple outfit has 4-10 record for the season and will miss out on the playoffs for the 14th season in a row.

Now, their misery has been compounded after a round on “Super Bowl History” on TV show “Jeopardy!”, which included a question with the clue: “It’s the only team to play in the Super Bowl before Neil Armstrong’s moon walk that has not been back to the Big Game since.”

The contestants gave Cleveland Browns, New York Giants, and Houston Texans as their suggestions, before host Jennings revealed that the correct answer to the puzzle was the Jets, before brutally adding: “The winners of Super Bowl 3, the Jets, are having a pretty rough 55-year streak.”

The savage moment did not pass NFL fans by on social media either, with one viewer admitting to being left somewhat irked by what they had witnessed, saying: “Even jeopardy is s—— on the jets today. I am in hell,” as second said: “Jets fans can’t even watch jeopardy in peace these days.”

Aaron Rodgers' future with the Jets remains in the balance at MetLife Stadium after his struggles this season

A third said: “No one on Jeopardy knowing that the Jets were in a Super Bowl might be the lowest moment of their franchise. Even lower than being in a Final Jeopardy question that’s kinda s—— on them,” while another added: “Damn Final @Jeopardy why you gotta be so hurtful to us Jets fans? We suffer enough!”

After a season to forget for the Jets, it remains to be seen whether quarterback Aaron Rodgers will be sticking around beyond this season. Speculation has abounded in recent times that the 41-year-old could finally hang up his cleats in the near future after what has been a campaign of mixed fortunes.

Speaking out his own future at MetLife Stadium, the veteran star said: “I’m going to wait and see what happens at the end of the season and if they want me back, and what happens with (interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich) and what happens with the offensive staff and obviously the GM at the time, and then they just fired Joe (Douglas).

“There’s a lot of things out of my control when it comes to that. But I really have enjoyed my time in New York,” he continued, before adding that he is undecided about whether to call time on his career, adding: “I don’t even know if I want to play yet, but New York would be my first option.”

‘Wheel Of Fortune’ Fans Livid Over Blatant Vanna White Diss

    Wheel Of Fortune: Vanna White

Wheel Of Fortune fans recently noticed something that has many up in arms surrounding Vanna White, and what many see as a blatant diss for the longtime fixture of the game show. So, what did fans call out recently, and did the popular game show throw shade at Vanna?

Wheel Of Fortune: Vanna White Sticking Around In Ryan Seacrest Era

With the changing of the guard at Wheel Of Fortune, and with Ryan Seacrest taking the helm from Pat Sajak, viewers are in a new and unprecedented era for the beloved game show. Pat Sajak was the host of the show for decades. So, with this change to Ryan Seacrest, the show as a whole is navigating uncharted territory.

The one constant that remains from the Pat Sajak era to the Ryan Seacrest era is Vanna White still holding it down with her role on the show. There was chatter that she would also hang it up and retire, but, at least up to this point, that has not been the case.

Fans Notice Blatant Vanna White Diss

Particularly since Ryan Seacrest has taken over as the Wheel Of Fortune host, fans have viewed everything he does, and the show in general, under a bigger microscope than ever before.

While some fans were doing some digging, one viewer noticed a discrepancy between Ryan Seacrest and Vanna White that appears on the surface to be a blatant diss. So, what did a recent fan bring to light?

A recent Wheel Of Fortune viewer said: “Longtime wheel watcher here… I don’t recall if Pat had an executive producer credit rolling at the end of every show, but Ryan sure does. Exec Producer is 90% a vanity credit. And it’s typically requested by and extended to a longtime leading cast member of a show or series. It’s Ryan’s First season and to see that credit stunned me. Vanna would be entitled to that executive Producer credit but she’s too humble and genuine to request it.”

Did Wheel Of Fortune Throw Vanna Under The Bus?

According to the Wheel Of Fortune IMDB page, the game show lists Ryan Seacrest as a “consulting producer.” So, while he is not an executive producer, as the original poster claimed, it is still interesting that Ryan has this credit on the show, whereas Vanna White is not even on the list.

Whether the show is throwing shade at Vanna White or whether she chose not to have this kind of credit is certainly up for debate. Either way, it’s indeed an interesting bit of information from the show that viewers are clearly eager to discuss.

The Talk panelists Jerry O’Connell and Amanda Kloots took to social media after CBS announced on Friday, April 12, that the show was getting canceled and will end after the upcoming shortened season 15.

“Fun times! Cohost Amanda, 42, was equally positive about ending on a high, commenting, “Love this job, the people, the crew, the audience!”

The Talk broke new ground when it launched 14 years ago by returning daytime talk to CBS with a refreshing and award-winning format. Throughout the years, it has been a key program on CBS’ top rated daytime line-up as it brought timely, important and entertaining topics and discussions into living rooms around the globe,” CBS Entertainment president Amy Reisenbach and CBS Studios president David Stapf said in a joint statement when announcing the cancelation.

The pair thanked Jerry, Amanda and other current cohosts Akbar GbajabiamilaNatalie Morales and Sheryl Underwood, while adding, “We also want to acknowledge our former show hosts and colleagues who contributed throughout the seasons.” They stated that the 15th and final season will end in December 2024.

The Talk panelists were afraid for security their jobs, a source told Closer exclusively on March 27, as CBS planned to make space first Black soap opera in over three decades, called The Gates.

“Behind the scenes, tension on The Talk is at an all-time high,” the insider revealed, noting that Jerry in particular was reeling at the prospect of his longtime dream of helming a daily talk show getting cut short. He was a finalist to be Kelly Ripa‘s cohost on Live when Ryan Seacrest got the job in 2016. Jerry had filled in as Kelly’s cohost “over 100 times” by his own estimate.

The insider noted that the departure of outspoken panelist Sharon Osbourne in March 2021 after being accused of making racist remarks and original cohost Julie Chen leaving in 2018 following the sexual misconduct scandal involving her husband, former CBS executive Les Moonves, led to The Talk‘s downfall.

“Things changed. The network no longer prioritized it. The advertising budget was reduced as ratings declined,” the source revealed.

Jerry O’Connell broke down in tears off camera during The Talk’s final episode and cried the show ‘didn’t deserve’ to end so suddenly, The U.S. Sun can exclusively reveal.

The actor, along with his daytime co-hosts, all appeared emotional as they wrapped up 15 years of the CBS series with its finale airing on Friday with last guest Howie Mandel.

Before the show officially started taping, Jerry, 50, came out from backstage to chat with the energetic audience who was thrilled to see him interacting with fans.

At one point, he put his arm around warm-up host Bill Sindelar – who gets the audience’s energy up and cues them to clap as the cameras roll – to share an emotional embrace, an eyewitness told The U.S. Sun.

Jerry then got teary eyed as he talked about this being the final moments of filming The Talk and as he opened up about what the experience meant to him, a staffer ran to grab tissues.

“He was very emotional, you can tell how much this show and the family of crew members and hosts meant to him.

“Jerry kept hugging everyone and professing his gratitude, it was really sweet, heartfelt and genuine.

“At one point, Jerry thanked the crew for becoming ‘part of his daily life’ and said he has really grown to love forming a routine on set. He will miss it,” the insider said.

The source continued that Jerry said he loved the show for the “sense of community” it formed and got choked up as he admitted The Talk “didn’t deserve” to end so abruptly – and could’ve gone on for “years and years.”

Jerry has helped lead the show since its major cast shakeup during Sharon Osbourne’s controversial firing in 2021.

In addition to Jerry, The Talk has been helmed over the past few years by hosting panel: Sheryl Underwood, Akbar Gbajabiamila, Amanda Kloots and Natalie Morales.

Yesterday, The U.S. Sun revealed some former hosts, including Sharon, 72, turned down returning for the season finale to avoid reuniting with the current host Sheryl, 61.

A source claimed: “The show asked some of the former hosts to come back for the final season. They all said no because of Sheryl. They didn’t want to sit with her on the panel.

“I believe Sharon was asked back. There was a conversation, but she would never sit on that panel.”

Who are the hosts of The Talk now?
The insider claimed Sheryl has a “tricky personality” and allegedly “gets along with you, keeps you close, but then will do something vindictive.”

“There have been a few tiffs between some of the hosts and Sheryl,” the insider alleged.

“Sheryl gloated about being the top dog. She walked around like that, like ‘I’m number one.’ Everyone tiptoes around her.

“If she felt she wasn’t equal she would be very demanding.”

For today’s last episode, the insider said the show has “nothing too exciting planned.”

    DONE TALKING

“There are no major surprises. They’ll probably have a cake for the final episode,” the source added.

A rep for The Talk did not respond to The U.S. Sun’s request for comment.

The daytime series has struggled with declining ratings in recent years, and in April of this year, CBS announced The Talk would end for good after season 15.

    Cast Changes

The daytime show has seen a rotation of panelists over the years.

The program first premiered on October 18, 2010.

Its inaugural season’s panel consisted of Sara Gilbert, Leah Remini, Holly Robinson Peete, Julie Chen, and Sharon Osbourne.

The lineup changed several times and also included Sara Gilbert, Marissa Jaret Winoku, Aisha Tyler, Elaine Welteroth, Eve, and Marie Osmond.

The final cast is Sheryl Underwood, Akbar Gbajabiamila, Amanda Kloots, Natalie Morales, and Jerry O’Connell.

During its run, the series has won three of its 18 Emmy Award nominations.

In April this year, a new soap titled Beyond the Gates was greenlit by CBS and is slated to premiere in February, taking the time slot of The Talk.

Amy Reisenbach, president of CBS Entertainment, and David Stapf, president of CBS Studios, released a joint statement to Deadline.

“The Talk broke new ground when it launched 14 years ago by returning daytime talk to CBS with a refreshing and award-winning format.

“Throughout the years, it has been a key program on CBS’ top-rated daytime line-up as it brought timely, important, and entertaining topics and discussions into living rooms around the globe.”

She continued: “It goes without saying that hosting and producing a year-round talk show is no easy task, and we express our sincere gratitude to our amazing hosts.

“We also want to acknowledge our former show hosts and colleagues who contributed throughout the seasons.

“We truly appreciate the skill, creativity, and dedication everyone involved brought to the show every day,”  the statement read.

The Talk hosts have not yet revealed what their next projects will be now that the show has wrapped for good.

“Well, look, we spoke after the Super Bowl, and I asked him, are you going to take off for Sydney, and he seemed keen. He said he’d really like to see Sydney and Singapore, but he wasn’t sure because he has commitments.”
