One of the biggest criticisms The Voice has faced in its 14 years on the air is the fact that the show has failed to produce superstars of the same caliber as Kelly Clarkson, Jennifer Hudson, etc., from American Idol. Michael Bublé is doing his part to change that, as he just made a huge gesture to help launch the career of The Voice Season 26 winner Sofronio Vasquez, proving that Bublé has taken a cue from Blake Shelton.

Sofronio Vasquez Is Releasing An EP Produced By Michael Bublé

Michael Bublé is gearing up to appear on his third straight season of The Voice when it returns to the 2025 TV schedule on September 22, but that’s not all he’s got going on. Sofronio Vasquez, who gave the Canadian crooner his first win on the show, made a big career announcement, telling The Filipino Times:

I’m excited to share that Michael Bublé is producing my EP. We did some of the songs already. In our recent conversation, a duet Christmas song featuring me and him will be first. We’re [also] doing an English-Tagalog song.

So not only will Michael Bublé produce his former team member’s EP, but the two will collaborate on a couple of songs, including a Christmas number that I’m assuming we’ll get a little closer to the holidays. Bublé isn’t the only big name Sofronio Vasquez is working with, either, as The Voice coach said on Instagram that music legends Paul Anka and David Foster helped to launch his career, and now he’s joining them to pay it forward for Vasquez. Bublé wrote:

This is a pretty huge deal, and nobody seems to understand that more than The Voice winner himself, who responded to his coach’s post by saying:

I’ve knocked on so many doors for so long, just hoping for a shot at my dreams. I’m incredibly grateful to Michael Bublé for being an all-around awesome human — thank you for opening many doors for me. Thank you for being both a mentor and a sponsor. Mentors help you become better, but sponsors open doors for you. We need both, and I’m lucky to have found both in you. My heart is overflowing with gratitude.

The mentors on The Voice have likely helped many artists during the course of the singing competition, but they’re under no obligation to the budding artists past that. One former coach, however, is well-known for being that “sponsor” that Sofronio Vasquez talked about.

Michael Bublé Taking A Page Out Of Blake Shelton’s Book By Helping His Voice Team Member

Though the two coaches never crossed paths on the show, Michael Bublé’s willingness to help foster his team member’s career reminds me of how Blake Shelton is known for staying in touch with past contestants. The cowboy won The Voice nine times over the first 23 seasons of the show, but he likely changed the lives of many more. He’s dueted with former team members, brought them along on tour and given them the stage at his bar Ole Red.

Season 9 runner-up Emily Ann Roberts said following her stint in 2015, her former coach was making calls to get her meetings with industry execs, and she went on to open for Blake Shelton on tour. Season 21’s Lana Scott had a sweet run-in with Shelton at his bar once and has said she’s grateful for the “opportunities he’s given me at Ole Red and around the country.”

In fact, the country music star made such an impression on those he worked with on the show that all nine of his winners and several more team members showed up to pay tribute to him on his final episode of The Voice.

Michael Bublé showed hints that he was willing to follow a similar path on Season 27, when he gave parting contestants his phone number to stay in touch. I’m excited to see what he and Sofronio Vasquez do together and if the coach continues to be a mentor for others outside of the show.

You can catch Michael Bublé on the upcoming 28th season of The Voice, premiering at 8 p.m. ET Monday, September 22, on NBC and streaming the next day with a Peacock subscription.

He became so private, his cancer diagnosis and three-year battle with melanoma was not publicly known until his shocking death on August 7.

Brandon’s father was Narvel Blackstock while his mother was Elisa Gayle Ritter.

Reba, 70, was married to music titan Narvel, 68, from 1989 until their divorce in 2015.

Despite no longer being married, Brandon and his brother, Shelby Blackstock continued to call Reba “mom” over the years.

Now her son, race car driver Shelby Blackstock, 35, has posted an emotional tribute to Brandon.

The pair share the same father and, alongside images of the pair together and with Reba, he wrote an heart-wrenching tribute.

Shelby penned: “Words cannot begin to capture the tremendous loss our family has endured.

“Yesterday, we lost a brother, a father, a grandfather, and a son.

“Brandon Blackstock was an irreplaceable part of our family — funny, bright, and full of life — and he will be deeply missed.”

He told how the dad of two had “taught me so much, leaving behind countless cherished memories that I will hold onto forever.”

Kelly Clarkson was ‘in talks’ to star on new reality show with Reba McEntire before her ex Brandon Blackstock’s death
Shelby added: “For every treasured moment we shared, there are so many more we’ll never get to make together, but I know you’ll still be there.

“Every hunt, every flight, and in the everyday moments of life, I’ll feel your presence.

“And although it may annoy you, you’ll have to watch me do it all just a little better, a little smoother, and — let’s be honest — looking far more handsome than you ever could in the process.

“We will always miss you, Brandon, and we will never stop loving, remembering and celebrating you.”

The Sun was first to reveal how Kelly was “in talks” to star on a new reality TV series with Reba prior to Brandon’s passing.

    CANCER STRUGGLE

Earlier this week, a tragic family statement revealed Brandon’s death/

“It is with great sadness that we share the news that Brandon Blackstock has passed away,” it read on Thursday.

The statement added: “Brandon bravely battled cancer for more than three years. He passed away peacefully and was surrounded by family.

“We thank you for your thoughts and prayers and ask everyone to respect the family’s privacy during this very difficult time.”

Just one day prior, Kelly canceled her August concerts in her Las Vegas residency.

“While I normally keep my personal life private, this past year, my children’s father has been ill and at this moment, I need to be fully present for them,” Kelly told fans.

She had quietly taken time off from her daytime talk show earlier in the year to support her kids during her ex’s illness.

    TRAGIC END

In June 2020, Kelly filed for divorce from Brandon and at the time, cited “irreconcilable differences.”

The two fought in a nasty court war for the following years, battling over custody of their two kids, their real estate portfolio, and their financial empire.

The couple’s divorce was finally settled in March 2022, but it ended up costing the pop superstar a fortune.

She was ordered to pay Brandon over $1.3million in a lump sum, along with $45,601 per month in child support, and a staggering $115,000 a month in spousal support, according to court documents.

The pair were private about their life post-divorce but fans were concerned about the pop star’s family after she multiple leave of absence’s this year.

    FAMILY AFFAIR

Kelly’s proposed TV show with Reba was originally pitched around 2019 but scrapped a year later.

It would have also involved the pair’s close pals, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani.

Their family connection would’ve been a theme on a previous season of The Voice, an insider spilled to The U.S. Sun.

“There were once talks of doing a family-themed season [of The Voice], it was a handful of years back, around 2019.

“The coaches would’ve been Reba, Kelly, Gwen, and Blake. The family theme being Kelly was Reba’s daughter-in-law and Kelly and Blake having the same manager at the time,” they said, acknowledging how Brandon once oversaw both Kelly’s and Blake’s career for a number of years.

“Kelly and Blake were also basically best buds at the time and of course, Gwen and Blake being together added that other family element.

“Their relationships were all very overlapping. Those four are very intertwined and have genuine connections.

“But then Kelly began to go through her divorce and the dynamics got too messy so it fizzled out.”

Reba McEntire misses The Voice taping as she processes ‘the biggest heartbreak’ of stepson Brandon Blackstock’s death

REBA McEntire has missed tapings of The Voice as she processes ‘the biggest heartbreak’ of stepson Brandon Blackstock’s death, The U.S. Sun can reveal.

Brandon passed away at just the age of 48 following a private battle with melanoma cancer and his death comes in the middle of production for both Reba and his ex-wife, Kelly Clarkson’s, next seasons of The Voice.

Reba, 70, is currently filming season 28 of The Voice at the same time that Kelly, 43, is taping season 29 as the NBC series produces two seasons simultaneously every Summer.

Kelly was married to the former music manager from 2013 until 2022 while Reba was married to Brandon’s father, Narvel Blackstock, from 1989 until their divorce in 2015.

Although she was no longer married to Narvel, whom she shares son Shelby Blackstock with, Reba still considered Brandon her son and maintained a tight-knit relationship.

Their close bond makes his death even more difficult for the country star to process and has impacted the current season of The Voice.

According to a production insider, Reba was not able to attend tapings of The Voice this past week “for obvious reasons.”

“The team [at The Voice] has known Reba for years. She was an advisor to Blake [Shelton] all the way back in season 1 and has been involved a lot of seasons since.

“So she is just as much family as you can get here. This has been, from the limited info they’ve gotten from her, the biggest heartbreak of her life,” the insider explained.

The source continued: “She considered Brandon her son, not a stepson but her son.

“She would brag about him like her son, he’d visit her on set, and they very much had that mother-son bond.

“It’s not clear yet when she will be back. [The show] has two more tapings for the season 28 Knockout rounds on the last week of August that Reba was scheduled to be at, but that’s it for awhile.

“Everything else will be the live show. It’s unclear if Reba will be back for those, the show is working on her schedule right now, not the other way around.

“The show will support her, and Kelly, any way that they can.”

It is unclear if another star will be tapped to fill-in for Reba, or if production will film around her absence.

The U.S. Sun has reached out to NBC for comment.

    DEVASTATING LOSS

On August 7th, Brandon’s former company, Starstruck Entertainment, announced that he had passed away at the age of 48 following a battle with melanoma cancer.

“It is with great sadness that we share the news that Brandon Blackstock has passed away.

“Brandon bravely battled cancer for more than three years,

“He passed away peacefully and was surrounded by family.

“We thank you for your thoughts and prayers and ask everyone to respect the family’s privacy during this very difficult time,” the company where Brandon served as a music manager for years stated.

    Reba McEntire TV Appearances

In addition to being a country superstar, Reba McEntire has enjoyed a lucrative career in TV and film. She had her own eponynimous sitcom, which ran from 2001 to 2007, and also famously served as a judge on The Voice. Reba’s acting credits don’t stop there, however.

Here are all Reba’s TV and film roles:

    The Voice
    Big Sky
    Young Sheldon
    PJ Masks
    Last Man Standing
    Baby Daddy
    Malibu Country
    Working Class
    Better With You

    Tremors
    The Land Before Time

    Buffalo Girls
The Gambler Returns: The Luck of the Draw
    Is There Life Out There?
    The Man from Left Field
    Country Gold
    The Little Rascals
    North

While Kelly has already canceled several professional projects that were set to happen in August, such as her Las Vegas concerts and a Texas charity benefit, the September premiere of The Kelly Clarkson Show is still happening, The U.S. Sun previously revealed.

Brandon, who became very private following his divorce from Kelly, 43, was rarely pictured in recent years.

After the couple’s separation in June 2020, Brandon left Los Angeles, where Kelly was currently residing to host her talk show, and moved to live a quieter life on his ranch in Montana.

The couple endured a drawn-out custody battle that turned nasty in court after Kelly filed for divorce in June of 2020.

Their divorce was finalized in 2022 and cost Kelly a fortune, including a one-time payment of $1.3 million, monthly child support of $45,601, as well as a monthly spousal support payment of $115,000.

However, Kelly was granted primary custody of their two children, River Rose and Remington Alexander with Brandon having visitation rights.

Drama Alert: One Voice Coach May Be Leaving for Good After This Season

The Voice coach ‘is done’ with show after new season as he brings ‘messy drama’ to set and ‘isn’t invested’ in team

A COACH from The Voice is most likely ‘done’ with the show after the upcoming season, bringing ‘messy’ drama to the set, The U.S. Sun can exclusively reveal.

Season 28 of The Voice will premiere in September and will star Reba McEntire, Niall Horan, Snoop Dogg, and Michael Bublé as the lineup of coaches.

While all four stars are returning to The Voice after previously filming seasons of the show in the past, it appears not all of them will be back again.

According to a production insider, it’s “most likely Snoop’s last season as a coach.”

“He was brought back this season per his contract but he hasn’t been working out the way everyone hoped.

“Snoop doesn’t seem entirely interested in the job anymore or invested in the contestants.

“He’s also one of the few coaches who hasn’t won a season yet,” a source told The U.S. Sun.

They added that the “outside noise” of his politics hasn’t helped matters, as the NBC series aims to be family-friendly and wants to stay away from politics.

However, following a series of endorsements for Donald Trump, Snoop, 53, has become more controversial than beloved in recent months.

The insider explained: “Then all the outside noise, his politics, and all of that, it’s not a good look.

“People were upset he brought the dark and ugly energy of politics into the conversation of a show that actively tries to be an escape from all of that.

“Mutually, I think everyone agrees this isn’t the best gig for him.”

    SORRY, DOGG

In January 2024, Snoop said in an interview that he had “nothing but love and respect” for Trump, 79, and that the former Celebrity Apprentice host had done “only great things” for the rapper.

A year later, Snoop performed at Trump’s Inauguration Crypto Ball after he won the 2024 election.

Snoop Dogg cries at Jeremy Beloate’s tear-jerking performance of The Impossible Dream on The Voice
His support for Trump was met with a wave of criticism, with many saying they were “disappointed” in the Long Beach, CA native for aligning with right-leaning politics.

However, he brushed off the noise and said he would only “answer hate with love” – appearing unbothered and continuing to support the President.

    LOWER YOUR VOICE

Snoop made his debut on The Voice for season 26, which premiered in the Fall of 2024.

He took a break for season 27 and is coming back for another spin in the red chair for season 28.

The season will star Snoop, Buble, Niall, and Reba however, following the death of her stepson Brandon Blackstock, the country singer’s fate on the show is up in the air.

As The U.S. Sun previously reported, Reba has missed recent tapings of The Voice’s season 28 filming to be with her family during this difficult time.

    The Voice Season 27 Coaches

The Voice has gone through many coaches in its various seasons. Some stay on for a while, while others only stay for one season. Here is who will be coaching Season 27 in 2025.

    Adam Levine – Season 1 to 16, 27

    John Legend – 16 to 22, 24 to 25, 27

    Kelsea Ballerini – 15, Comeback Stage, 20, 27

    Michael Buble – 26 and 27

The source continued: “She considered Brandon her son, not a stepson but her son.

“She would brag about him like her son, he’d visit her on set, and they very much had that mother-son bond.

“It’s not clear yet when she will be back. [The show] has two more tapings for the season 28 Knockout rounds on the last week of August that Reba was scheduled to be at, but that’s it for awhile.

“Everything else will be the live show. It’s unclear if Reba will be back for those, the show is working on her schedule right now, not the other way around. ”

Reba was married to Brandon’s father, Narvel Blackstock, from 1989 until their divorce in 2015.

Although she was no longer married to Narvel, with whom she shares son Shelby Blackstock with, Reba still considered Brandon her son and maintained a tight-knit relationship.

Kelly Clarkson and Reba McEntire are prioritizing family over work following the death of Brandon Blackstock. The late talent manager is the father of Clarkson’s two children and was McEntire’s stepson during her marriage to his father from 1989 to 2015.

Both Clarkson and McEntire are reportedly missing tapings of The Voice after Blackstock’s August 7 death from melanoma (a form of skin cancer). Seasons 28 and 29 of the show are filming pre-taped episodes this summer, but McEntire and Clarkson are going to have to sit a few out, according to The U.S. Sun.

McEntire is one of the coaches for Season 28 alongside Snoop Dogg, Michael Bublé, and Niall Horan. The Sun reported that she already missed some tapings “for obvious reasons” and that “it’s not clear when she will be back. [The show] has two more tapings for the season 28 Knockout Rounds on the last week of August that Reba was scheduled to be at, but that’s it for awhile,” the site’s source claimed.

Season 28 premieres in September and will air its pre-taped episodes for several weeks before going live toward the end of the season. According to The Sun, “It’s unclear if Reba will be back for [the live shows]. The show is working on her schedule right now, not the other way around.”

Meanwhile, Clarkson will be making her epic return to the singing competition for Season 29 with Adam Levine and John Legend. Although the show doesn’t air until 2026, episodes are being filmed now, and Clarkson will reportedly be sitting out while supporting her young children (she was married to Blackstock for seven years before filing for divorce in 2020).

The Sun reported that she was expected to film next week and that The Voice is eyeing another star to replace her during this time. Miley Cyrus and Kelsea Ballerini, who have both previously been coaches on The Voice, are rumored names for the fill-in position. “It’s all still a work in progress,” the source noted.

Clarkson has not publicly spoken out about Blackstock’s death, but she did cancel dates of her Las Vegas residency on August 6. “Unfortunately, I need to postpone the remainder of the August Studio Session dates in Las Vegas,” she shared on Instagram. “While I normally keep my personal life private, this past year, my children’s father has been ill and at this moment, I need to be fully present for them.”

McEntire has been divorced from Blackstock’s father for 10 years, but still considered the late manager to be her son. “Last week, my stepson/oldest son Brandon Blackstock went home to be with God,” she wrote on Instagram. “His struggle is over and he is in eternal peace in God’s presence. There is no one else like him, and I’m thankful for the time we had together. His legacy and laughter will be carried on through his family. Rest in peace cowboy. Happy trails to you til we meet again.”

KELLY Clarkson will be missing several tapings of The Voice as she grieves ex Brandon Blackstock’s tragic death, an insider told The U.S. Sun.

As the first American Idol winner takes a hiatus from the NBC show to focus on her family, a few A-list stars are currently being tapped to fill in as a coach for season 29.

Currently, both seasons 28 and 29 of The Voice are simultaneously in production.

Season 28, which will premiere in September, is also impacted by Brandon’s passing at the age of 48 as his stepmom, Reba McEntire, is currently a coach.

As The U.S. Sun previously reported, Reba, 70, missed recent tapings of The Voice, and a production insider has since confirmed that Kelly, 43, will also be stepping away from season 29 during this difficult time.

“Kelly will not be at the tapings scheduled next week for Thursday and Friday. Production is working on a replacement coach for her now.

“Kelsea Ballerini and Miley Cyrus have been considered to fill in, but right now, it’s all still a work in progress,” a source claimed.

Country superstar Kelsea, 31, previously filled in for Kelly during the Battle Rounds of season 20.

While Kelly was sick, Kelsea joined the panel as a coach -and kick-started her career on The Voice, which she has come back to many times since.

Kelsea was a coach earlier this year for season 27 and previously worked as an advisor on several earlier seasons.

Meanwhile, Miley, 32, has a storied history on the show after previously serving as a Key Advisor for season 10 and a full-time coach on seasons 11 and 13.

The source explained that the “same thing goes for Kelly” as it does for Reba, as both are considered “family” to producers and crew members.

“Whatever they want, the show will give them. They don’t owe the show anything right now.

“But they are being incredibly professional throughout this. As much as one can be during a time like this.

“Kelly, especially, though needs a lot of time to heal. They understand that. Not to mention her kids are starting their new school year.

“It’s terrible timing but is there ever good timing for such a tragedy?” the insider asked.

The U.S. Sun has reached out to The Voice for comment.

    ‘BIGGEST HEARTBREAK’

On Tuesday, The U.S. Sun revealed that Reba had missed recent tapings of season 28 of The Voice

    Reba McEntire TV Appearances

In addition to being a country superstar, Reba McEntire has enjoyed a lucrative career in TV and film. She had her own eponynimous sitcom, which ran from 2001 to 2007, and also famously served as a judge on The Voice. Reba’s acting credits don’t stop there, however.

Here are all Reba’s TV and film roles:

    The Voice
    Big Sky
    Young Sheldon
    PJ Masks
    Last Man Standing
    Baby Daddy
    Malibu Country
    Working Class
    Better With You
    Reba
    Diagnosis Murder
    Frasier
    Tremors
    The Land Before Time
    One Night at McCool’s
    Secret of Giving
    Forever Love
    Buffalo Girls
The Gambler Returns: The Luck of the Draw
    Is There Life Out There?
    The Man from Left Field
    Country Gold
    The Little Rascals
    North

The source continued: “She considered Brandon her son, not a stepson but her son.

“She would brag about him like her son, he’d visit her on set, and they very much had that mother-son bond.

“It’s not clear yet when she will be back. [The show] has two more tapings for the season 28 Knockout rounds on the last week of August that Reba was scheduled to be at, but that’s it for awhile.

“Everything else will be the live show. It’s unclear if Reba will be back for those, the show is working on her schedule right now, not the other way around.

“The show will support her, and Kelly, any way that they can.”

Brandon, who was married to Kelly from 2013-2022, passed away on August 7th following a three-year battle with Melanoma cancer.

The Voice fans accuse Chance the Rapper of ‘villain behavior’ after bold move

Chance the Rapper gets accused of “villain behavior” after hitting the Playoff Pass on one of the contestants after two other judges were trying to steal. He was sending her home

Chance the Rapper could not take his off of his contestants or let them go.

During Tuesday nights episode of The Voice, Chance the Rapper was accused of “villain behavior” after hitting the Playoff Pass on Nadège, who he let go during her battle against Maddi Jane. The two singers sang I Can’t Take My Eyes Off You by Lauryn Hill and Chance chose Maddi. Judges John Legend and Dan + Shay made it clear that they were going to “steal” which ever Chance did not pick and both hit the button.

John was one of the judges who wanted Nadège since her blind audition after she sang his song, Ordinary People. He even joined her on stage during her audition to sing it with her.

As John is giving his speech on why she should pick him instead of the Country duo judges, Chance did the unthinkable and hit the Playoff Pass button. This means she gets to stay on his team and goes straight to the playoffs, blocking both steals. Each judge is given one steal during the battle round.

Fans on X, formerly known as Twitter, praised Chance for his move. One person wrote: “@chancetherapper JUST DID THAT!!!! @NBCTheVoice #TheVoice.” Another person wrote: “Lol, I know that’s right Chance! #TheVoice.” A fan even called the moment “villain behavior” writing: “Why does @chancetherapper play so much? Villain behavior #thevoice.”

Even though Dan + Shay and John did not succeed to steal Nadège, country singer and judge, Reba McEntire did successfully steal a contestant in the beginning of the episode. Duo Justin and Jeremy and Frank Garcia from team Dan + Shay were battling it out and sang Million Reasons by Lady Gaga. The three gave a touching performance but at the end, the judges chose Frank over the duo. Reba saved Justin and Jeremy and are now part of her team.

The country duo made The Voice history becoming the first pair of duo judges. The show is known to have top artists in the music industry as panelists. They have also had Blake Shelton, Adam Levine, Gwen Stefanie, Miley Cyrus, Ariana Grande, CeeLo Green, Nick Jonas, Alicia Keys, Jennifer Hudson, Usher, Camila Cabello and Pharell Williams as judges at one point throughout the 24 seasons.

Fans Outraged: Demands Grow for The Voice to Cut John Legend Over Chrissy Teigen Drama

Fans Demand ‘The Voice’ Cancel John Legend Over Chrissy Teigen’s Behavior

They want John Legend gone, and they want him gone now.

New York, NY USA - June 11, 2017: Chrissy Teigen in Pamella Roland and John Legend attend Tony awards 2017 at Radio City Music Hall

The official Instagram account for The Voice has been promoting each of the finalists one by one and it was time to throw credit to Raelynn in their latest post. However, as they tried to spotlight the artist, things took a dramatic turn.

Completely ignoring the context of the post, fans decided to use this as a platform to convey some messaging to the producers about the show. Fans are demanding an immediate change.

John Legend’s wife, swimsuit model Chrissy Teigen, has been dragged for being a vicious bully on social media, and fans are coming at Legend, too. His wife’s poor conduct is cascading and is affecting his career, potentially in a very big way.

John Legend And His Wife, Chrissy Teigen

Chrissy Teigen is being slammed on social media for her very poor behavior and downright bullying. This isn’t the first time she had been accused of being a mean person, but the most recent allegations against her have been very serious ones.

Courtney Stodden rose to the surface to say that Teigen encouraged her to end her own life on Twitter, and she had the tweets to prove it.

Fans have had enough of the mean, destructive, hateful messages that people are engaging in online, and are infuriated at the thought of Chrissy Teigen bullying someone to that degree. This devastating revelation has sent shockwaves online, and the more fans discover about Teigen’s conduct, the more they want her canceled.

In a classic case of guilty-by-association, fans want nothing to do with John Legend, either. If this is the way Teigen conducts herself, they presume her husband must have the same morals and standards. After all, he’s still married to her and is condoning her behavior by remaining by her side.

If this is the case, fans want John Legend off The Voice, immediately.

There is a definite push to cancel John Legend unfolding right before our eyes. If this continues, and ratings drop, NBC will surely need to make some big decisions about the fate of John Legend.

Fans pushed to cancel him by writing; “John Legend is not a good “Voice” due to his cruel, horrid, wife!! He needs to go!!” as well as; “Get rid of John Legend.”

Other comments include; “Do you really want John Legend to represent The Voice? Get rid of him and his wife from your association,” to which the response of “couldn’t agree more!!!” was written, and a series of ‘likes’ flooded the post.

Fans continued to pour in the negative feedback by saying; “John Legend needs to go,” “Cancel John Legend,” and “Get John off the stage, he and his wife are a disgrace.”

Legend’s personal Intsagram page contained  much of the same commentary, including; “YOU CANNOT KEEP SILENT ABOUT YOUR WIFE. YOUR SILENCE EQUALS COMPLIANCE.”

John Legend Cried Uncontrollably On ‘The Voice’ After This Contestant’s “Moving” Performance: “I Don’t Know Why I Keep Crying”

The Voice judges John Legend and Gwen Stefani were moved to tears by contestant Lennon VanderDoes’ emotional performance during Monday’s (Nov. 13) Knockout Round episode.

There was not a dry eye in the room after VanderDoes took the stage to perform Jason Mraz‘s “I Won’t Give Up.” Legend praised VanderDoes, who hails from Niall Horan‘s team, for his “moving” performance.

Legend could not hide his tears after the performance, admitting, “Ever since I became a dad, I definitely cry a lot more than I used to. It’s hitting me more.”

He added that he previously viewed VanderDoes as the team’s “underdog,” which only made him more emotional.

“I just felt you being fully yourself, and it felt so moving to me,” he said, before adding, “I don’t know why I keep crying. I can’t stop.”

Stefani was in a similar state. Country singer Reba McEntire rushed to give them tissues for their tears.

“Lennon, I hope you realize that that’s the biggest compliment another artist could give you is just to sit there and cry because you touched John to his core,” McEntire told VanderDoes.

Horan agreed, adding, “These two crying says it all.”

The moving performance wasn’t enough to save VanderDoes, however. The singer was later sent home along with fellow contestant Julia Roomes after Horan instead chose Alexa Wildish as the winner.

This may not be the last we see of these contestants, however. This season, the judges will have the chance to bring back a disqualified contestant from any team, an unprecedented move for the show.

With Season 28 Looming, Niall Horan Feels the Heat—Is He Reconsidering His Break From The Voice

Niall Horan Is Rethinking That Break From ‘The Voice’

Next month, thousands of viewers will get their wish when beloved coach Niall Horan returns to The Voice. The former One Direction member, 31, is reclaiming his big red chair after a three-season hiatus. Joining the cast in season 23, Horan pulled out back-to-back wins before stepping back to focus on touring. According to a new interview posted to the show’s official Instagram page, the “Slow Hands” crooner is feeling the pressure as the season 28 premiere draws ever closer.

Michael Bublé Is Behind ‘The Voice’ Co-Star Niall Horan All the Way

In a video posted to social media, Michael Bublé addresses The Voice fans as his co-star, Niall Horan, fixes his hair in a mirror behind him.

“My friend Niall Horan is coming back to coach season 28 of The Voice. He’s been gone for a few years. He’s gonna tell you how he feels about it because he’s a little nervous,” the “Feeling Good” crooner, 49, told the camera.

“And you better be nice,” a stone-faced Bublé emphasized, arms crossed over his chest like a drill sergeant.

Horan then steps forward to share his thoughts as the five-time Grammy winner lingers behind him, poker face never wavering.

“Yeah, you know, I’m coming back as a coach. I took a year out to go on tour, and I’m not sure how I feel about coming back. … It’s a nerve-wracking experience to come back, and I’m not sure if anyone’s going to want to be on my team,” admitted the Irish singer-songwriter.

Fortunately, he clearly has a strong support system in Bublé, who mouthed fiercely, “You better pick him.”

Seemingly oblivious to the hype man standing behind him, Horan continues. “Are my pitching skills going to be up to standard?” he wonders. “Yeah, in a way, I kind of wish I didn’t take a year out because I would have just been on a roll, but it is nerve-wracking, you know? It’s not easy.”

Judging from the fan response, Horan has little to worry about. “’we love you Niall’ we all say in unison,” one Instagram user wrote.

Another added, “Michael is all of us Lovers! ❤️ YOU BETTER BE NICE to our man or else!”

    ‘The Voice’ Returns Soon

With veteran coaches Michael Bublé, Snoop Dogg, Niall Horan, and Reba McEntire all returning, The Voice kicks off its 28th season on Monday, September 22, at 8 p.m. Eastern.

Snoop Dogg is on the prowl for his first win, but he’ll have a tough time against three former champions. Bublé is here to defend his winning streak after claiming the title in season 26 title with Sofronio Vasquez and again in season 27 with Adam David.
