Reba McEntire‘s presence on “The Voice” set has some eyes rolling.

The Country singer’s reportedly overbearing attitude is making some of her colleagues and the show producers uncomfortable, and wondering if two captains are in the show’s boat.

Reba McEntire is currently mourning the loss of her stepson and Kelly Clarkson’s estranged husband, Brandon Blackstock, who passed away from cancer earlier in the month.

The singer’s presence for the 28th season of the singing show is gradually becoming an eyesore for her co-workers, who reportedly complain of her excessive need for control.

A source close to the situation explained that while it might not be an intentional move from her end, her habit of having an opinion on everything has gotten on people’s nerves.

Getting the legend to be in the new season did not come easy, as the bosses reportedly had to do a lot of convincing due to her hectic schedule. Now that she is in the game, McEntire has embraced the spotlight, almost refusing to share her space with anyone.

“Her fellow judges like Reba, but she’s cocky and a take-charge character. It’s always all about her – whether she intends it to be or not,” an insider explained. Per RadarOnline, the source added that the judges are going into the new season very wary of McEntire potentially becoming another boss.

Filming for the NBC hit show reportedly began in early July, but things are moving under quite a tense atmosphere. McEntire will appear alongside her industry colleagues like Niall Horan, Michael Bublé, and Snoop Dogg, calling the shots for contestants on the new season.

McEntire has had quite the history with the show, including serving as coach from seasons 24- 26, a Battle Advisor for season 1, and a Mega Mentor in season 23.

The reality show star has also shown the fans what life feels like on set when she shared an exquisite image of herself sitting in the famous red spinning chair, where everyone’s fate gets decided.

McEntire expressed how happy she felt to be on the show, even borrowing a phrase from her new project titled “Happy’s Place.”

The actress worked alongside her former daughter-in-law, Horan, Shelton, and Chance the Rapper on season 23 of “The Voice” as a Mega Mentor. She advised contestants who advanced into the knockout rounds to give their best.

She eventually filled Shelton’s big shoes for Season 24 after he announced his retirement. McEntire came on the show in 2011, appearing as a battle advisor for Shelton’s team for the first-ever season of the show.

Before finding herself in Shelton’s former spot, McEntire had been offered the golden spot of a coaching position for the first season. After she rejected the offer, Shelton stepped in as a coach.

Usually referred to as “The Queen of Country Music,” the singer is a three-time Grammy Award winner with multiple awards from the Academy of Country Music and Country Music Association.

The media personality’s colleagues on “The Voice” are not the only ones dealing with the heat of her controlling attitude. Her relationship with her partner of nearly five years, Rex Linn, has become tense since they began filming the new season of the “Happy’s Place” sitcom.

As shared by The Blast, McEntire’s behavior on set makes the whole experience less worthwhile for Linn, who now has his girlfriend bossing him around. Their status as co-workers on set has blurred the lines between their professional and personal relationships.

Judging by McEntire’s strong personality of barking orders and giving dictates, Linn struggles to keep up, almost as if that was not what he signed up for.

In the words of a source: “That red hair is no lie – Reba is high-spirited. And Rex is a headstrong character, even though he doesn’t look it. He’s very proud and doesn’t like her bossing him around in public.”

Linn and McEntire began dating in 2020 during the pandemic after their shared interests, values, and family life strengthened their bond.

The actress reacted to Blackstock’s death after his protracted struggle with cancer with a heartfelt post on social media. McEntire uploaded several pictures of herself and the music managers alongside a lengthy caption stating that her stepson “is in eternal peace in God’s presence.”

As noted by The Blast, McEntire gushed about Blackstock and the time they spent together, stating that no one was like him. She promised that his legacy and laughter would be carried on by his loved ones.

“Rest in peace, cowboy. Happy trails to you till we meet again,” the actress concluded, as her friends lifted her with encouraging words and wishes in the comments.

McEntire and Blackstock’s father married in 1989 and stayed together for decades until their divorce in 2015. Despite the split, the actress noted that her bond with Blackstock is forever, and she considers him family.

She even spoke about his divorce from Clarkson in 2021, declaring that she will never resort to picking sides between them because she loves them almost equally.

Will Reba McEntire catch up on the current energy about her character on set, or is their fate sealed?

Gayle King’s Question on CBS Mornings Ignites Firestorm—Viewers Can’t Agree If She Went Too Far

Gayle King’s SHOCKING Question on ‘CBS Mornings’ – Did She Go TOO FAR?! Brace yourselves for the moment that has “CBS Mornings” viewers completely divided! Gayle King’s unexpected and highly contentious question has sparked outrage and intense discussion across social media.

‘CBS Mornings’ host Gayle King slammed after noting lack of ‘people of color’ at Trump inauguration

“CBS Mornings” co-host Gayle King sparked controversy after questioning why there weren’t “many people of color” during President Trump’s inauguration ceremony on Monday.

The anchor made the remark while offering commentary on the swearing-in ceremony as politicians, Supreme Court judges and dignitaries filtered into the US Capitol Rotunda.

“I do not see many people of color. Does anybody else besides me observe that?” King said. “I’m fascinated by why that is?”

Norah O’Donnell, who anchored the network’s coverage, then noted that the inauguration coincided with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day before listing some prominent black leaders in attendance.

Megyn Kelly, the former Fox News primetime star, was among several critics who slammed King for her observation.

“Gayle King on cbs is questioning why there aren’t more ‘ppl of color’ at the inauguration. Of course,” the host of SiriusXM’s “The Megyn Kelly Show” wrote on X.

Aidan Kearney, a Trump-backing commentator, wrote: “The fact that this is the first thing you’re looking for is exactly why this guy is about to be inaugurated again.”

Tony Bruno, a former ESPN sports radio talk show host, wrote on X: “Watching your morning show (which very few do) what is the racial breakdown of your staff?”

Others, however, supported King’s point, noting that the audience was overwhelmingly white, including high-profile figures like tech billionaires Mark Zuckerberg, Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk.

A spokesperson for CBS declined to comment.

Among the people of color present at the inauguration were former President Barack Obama, former Vice President Kamala Harris, Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY).

Vice President JD Vance’s wife, Usha, a daughter of Indian immigrants, also attended.

One person who decided to skip the event was Michelle Obama, fueling ongoing speculation about her views on Trump and recent rumors regarding her marriage to the 44th president.

Trump used his inaugural address to proclaim the beginning of a “new golden age of America.”

One of his first policy priorities is the dismantling of diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) programs in federal institutions.

DEI remains a sensitive issue. Supporters claim it helps correct systemic discrimination against minorities while critics argue it results in discrimination against white and Asian Americans.

The kerfuffle over King’s comment comes as CBS parent company Paramount Global is reportedly considering settling a $10 billion lawsuit filed by Trump concerning a “60 Minutes” interview with Harris.

Trump's inauguration on Monday coincided with Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day -- the federal holiday honoring the slain civil rights leader.

The lawsuit alleges that CBS aired selectively edited versions of the interview to favor Harris during the election.

This legal dispute poses a potential obstacle to Paramount’s planned $8 billion merger with Skydance Media, as the Federal Communications Commission, led by incoming Chairman Brendan Carr, has indicated that Trump’s grievances with CBS News could complicate the process.

Maggie, 28, has managed Wheel of Fortune’s online presence since 2021 and graces the screen during commercial breaks.

The growing belief among Wheel watchers is that she’ll step into the high heels of Vanna, 66, and take her coveted role at the puzzle board.

Maggie’s new video on Friday did little to quiet the consensus.

In the video, Vanna, looking stunning in a pink dress, gracefully exits the game show’s set.

She waves to Maggie, who then makes her entrance onto the stage.

The exchange is accompanied by a playful “Hi Barbie” from Vanna, to which Maggie responds with a spin of her own: “Hi Barbie.”

The video concludes with Maggie, elegantly dressed in a similar sparkling black outfit, walking toward Vanna’s spot at the puzzle board.

Maggie’s caption adds a touch of humor, stating: “Just a couple of Barbie girls living in a @wheeloffortune world. Loving the Barbie vibes of @officialvannawhite’s dress tonight!”

    ‘FUTURE LETTER TURNER?’

While many fans complimented the duo on their beauty, others couldn’t help but read between the lines, suggesting a possible passing of the torch.

One comment read: “Maggie is the future Letter turner???”

Another person wrote: “Passing of the guard.”

    ‘GOOD REPLACEMENT’

Pat, 77, is to retire in June after an astounding 41 years as host to make way for Ryan Seacrest, who will begin in fall 2024.

As for Vanna, she could be replaced by Maggie once she retires.

Vanna, 66, recently hinted that Maggie should be her successor once her hard-fought new contract ends in 2026.

The iconic Vanna, who began presenting letters 41 years ago herself, did not mince words in naming Pat’s daughter as a letter-perfect fit.

The co-host told E! on Maggie: “I think she’s a good replacement if I can’t be there for some reason.

“She’s been around it her whole life, so I think she can fill in for me for sure.

She’s precious, she’s beautiful, she’s very good,” Vanna added.

“I think she learned a lot from her father because he’s such a good interviewer. I think she’s good for our show.”

Meanwhile, there were reports that show execs wanted Vanna’s new contract – which saw her negotiate for a pay bump when Pat announced his exit – to be her “last contract.”

Maggie also renewed her contract until 2025 when Vanna re-upped her contract, meaning she’ll stay on after her warhorse dad retires.

Although Maggie faced “nepo-baby” accusations when she first came on the scene, fans have warmed up to her as she’s spending more and more devoted to the show.

The Price Is Right left in chaos after ‘awkward’ mishap sends fans into meltdown

The Price Is Right is not a show that is known for having major mishaps, but one did happen in 2017 that left host Drew Carey and the rest of the CBS game show team in disbelief

    Drew Carey

The Price is Right, hosted by Drew Carey on CBS, is known for its seamless operation. However, a rare and significant blunder occurred during an episode aired on 24th January 2017 that left everyone watching the episode on TV in shock.

The mishap happened when the host introduced a new round with a grand prize: a Cuisinart espresso machine, thermal programmable coffee maker, and coffee bean grinder. These were brought onto the stage on a flatbed pulled by a small-scale train engine.

The prizes were placed on a shaky table on the flatbed, yubi, which proved to be a poor decision. As the contestants guessed the price of the package, the entire prize fell and shattered into pieces, causing gasps from the live audience.

Carey responded with a nervous laugh as the last contestant humorously adjusted his guess to $1. “Whoops,” Carey chuckled, informing viewers they wouldn’t see the Price Train for some time.

Fans flooded the comments section of a YouTube video showing the blunder with laughter and praise. One viewer quipped: “The guy changing his bid to one dollar was the crowning touch. But I do have to give them credit for not even trying to edit the mishap out.”

Another joined in, saying: “That guy who said ‘one dollar’ is the best person on that show this year,” while a third howled: “Buddy killed it with the ‘1 dollar’ line.”

Someone else highlighted: “They handled that situation perfectly. It was awkward, or cringey or uncomfortable. Well done Drew and the $1 dollar guy lmao.”

A fellow fan commented: “I just think it’s awesome that they have the crew so quickly ready to go to clean it up. Really goes to show you how much work and effort goes on behind the scenes people aren’t even aware of.”

With light-hearted spirit, another joked: “Dude transitioned from retail to thrift store pricing in a heartbeat,” and a different user praised: “The tech crews on these shows are professionals, as are the writers and directors. They deserve our support during the strike.”

In a stunning revelation, this wasn’t the first time a prize has been smashed on the live game show.

Price Is Right model Rachel Reynolds drove a car into a stage wall once. Host Carey was having a chat with contestant Cameron when he found out he was playing for a brand-new Ford Mustang, which was driven onstage by a model who then accidentally bumped into the set.

Rachel didn’t hit the brakes in time, causing the car to careen across the stage and smash into a makeshift wall built for the show. The vehicle appeared unscathed, but the wall was wrecked.

“I’m so sorry Cameron,” she apologised, her cheeks flushing with mortification. Carey checked on Rachel, who was more worried about the car’s condition than her own.

“I think the car’s still okay,” she remarked. The veteran host reassured Cameron that he’d get a pristine car if he won, not one that had been in a collision.

“This is going to be a damaged, used car. We’ll get you a brand new one,” he promised.

Ken Jennings Opens Up About the Pain of Missing Family While Hosting Jeopardy

Ken Jennings has ‘no plans’ to move to LA for Jeopardy! despite distance from family being ‘hardest part’ of hosting job

KEN Jennings has no plans to move to Los Angeles for Jeopardy! despite admitting the distance from his family is the hardest part of the job, The U.S. Sun can reveal.

The beloved host has spent a large chunk of the year down in Southern California while his wife and two kids remain in the Seattle, Washington area – where Ken was born.

Since Ken, 50, took over hosting duties from Alex Trebek after his passing in November 2020, he has had to fly down to Los Angeles weekly to film the show.

Filming for Jeopardy! typically takes place on Tuesdays and Wednesdays on the Sony Studios lot in Culver City, CA.

The show tapes fives games each day – three in the morning and two in the afternoon.

Ken reportedly has a smaller home in Los Angeles that he stays in for work but he continues to primarily reside in Washington – something he has no plans on changing anytime soon.

An insider told The U.S. Sun that behind-the-scenes at a Jeopardy! taping, Ken confessed to the audience that being away from his loved ones is the toughest part of the gig.

“Ken was honest about being away from his family being the hardest part of the job.

“He said that despite how tough it is to be away, which only gets harder the busier his schedule was, he has no plans on moving to LA.

“He was adamant that his family has built a great life in Seattle they’re happy with. LA is not for them,” the source said.

The flight from Seattle to Los Angeles is just under three hours.

Ken was born in the suburbs of Seattle in May 1974 but due to his dad’s work as an international lawyer, yubi, he lived overseas much of his childhood.

Jeopardy! contestant blames ‘unusually rough’ Daily Doubles for brutal loss and reveals her ‘one regret’ of the game
When Ken was in first grade, the family moved to South Korea and later lived in Singapore.

He returned to his home state for college where he attended the University of Washington – and later transferred to Brigham Young University.

Ken met his future wife, Mindy, at BYU and the couple wed in 2000.

They share two kids together – daughter Caitlin and son, Dylan.

Ken, who won over $4 million as a contestant on Jeopardy! before being crowned as host – primarily lives in a stunning 4,500 square foot home just outside of Seattle.

The luxury three-story house, worth over $2,900,000, has views that span over the Washington mountains and a beautiful lake.

It also includes a large patio deck with gorgeous mountain views and a relaxing spa space.

The primary bedroom includes a big, full-sized bathtub and tons of natural light from the large windows.

The lakefront estate, which was built in 2008, also boasts a media room and two full-sized kitchens.

    Jeopardy! Set Secrets

Jeopardy! fans don’t see everything behind the scenes from watching on TV. These hidden set features make the show run smoothly:

Each podium has a hidden riser so that all contestants appear to be the same height.
After each clue is read, signal lights go off around the game board, indicating players can buzz in and respond.
Buzz in too early, and you’re locked out for .25 seconds.
The podiums have a small white light in the lower left corner, which tells Ken Jennings who goes next.
Contrary to popular belief, the player with control doesn’t have a buzzer advantage on the next clue.
To the game board’s left is a scoreboard so the players can see their opponents’ scores.
All contestants must bring three outfits to the studio, but only the host and returning champion change for the next episode.
There are wardrobe rules, including restrictions on busy patterns, solid white, purple (like the background), and logos.
Five episodes are taped in a single day, and sometimes more.
The categories, players (aside from the returning champion), and Final Jeopardy! for a tape day are all drawn randomly to ensure fairness.
Female contestants are asked not to wear makeup, which is applied backstage, and don’t wear mascara because of sweat.
Contestants fill out a questionnaire, and producers select five Q&A topics for the host.
Host Ken isn’t allowed to interact with the contestants until after the game.
Players can request to sit in a chair while competing without question.

Despite his grand home, the millionaire typically lives a modest lifestyle – and even continues to  drive his Toyota Corolla to work.

A studio insider previously revealed that although glitz and glamour are not his thing, Ken is working hard to improve his fan interactions.

“Ken is a national celebrity, and has been for years, but he is decidedly not a creature of Hollywood and has purposely chosen to raise his family in Seattle instead of Los Angeles,” the source shared.

“But he isn’t a hermit and loves interacting with real Jeopardy! fans that he crosses paths with online and during his frequent commutes.

“People have misconstrued his tweets in the past, and it’s been an issue he’s had to work on.

“But he’s very good with off-camera, in-person interactions – people who meet him out in public usually come away with a smile on their face.”

During the footage, contestant Lynn spun The Big Wheel for a chance to win $1,000.

Drew, 66, continued the tradition from his late predecessor, Bob Barker, yubi, and asked the player to give a shout-out to their family.

“You wanna say hi?” the host asked.

After spinning the wheel, Lynn turned to the camera and listed her loved ones.

“To my husband Greg, my daughter Allison, my son-in-law Ryan, and my grandson Beau,” Lynn said during her shout-out.

She did not realize the wheel stopped and landed on the 100 mark.

Drew interrupted and pointed his finger at the camera.

Lynn screamed and jumped up and down on the The Price is Right stage.

She went on to win $10,000 after the next spin.

“Lady has pinpoint control at the wheel,” the video text read.

“That’s how it’s done,” the caption stated.

    THE BACKLASH

In the comments section, critics slammed the wholesome part of the contestants saying hi to their family while the wheel is spinning.

“Can we stop with the ‘Say hi?’ and build up the excitement with the contestant as a good amount approaches? It’s so lackluster!” one critic trolled.

“Especially when the contestant goes on for like five minutes. It’s kind of stupid. And cringy!” another critic added.

“It takes their attention away from a life-changing moment in their lives when cash is about to enter the chat,” another critic argued.

    The Price is Right Hosts

The Price is Right first came on TV in 1972. Fans fell in love with the game show so much that it has been on for over 50 years. Throughout that time, the show has had a few different hosts. Find out who they are below.

Bob Barker – 1972 to June 2007 (also became executive producer in 1988)

Drew Carey – October 2007 to present

Dennis James – filled in for Bob in 1974 when he missed four episodes, also hosted the nighttime version

Craig Ferguson – 2014 April Fools Day Special

“If you’re still talking while the wheel is done, you should be disqualified!” a fourth person wrote.

“It’s annoying! This lady was so busy talking! [Lynn] didn’t even realize she was about to win!” a commentator chimed.

In 1972, Bob became the host and retired in 2007, which is when Drew took over.

    ‘SERIOUSLY?’

This is not the only time a contestant has angered viewers.

In late May, a player wasted his turn with an over-the-top bid.

Contest Nicholas had to guess the price of a set of workout equipment, including a vertical knee-raise station and a spin bike.

“I’m gonna say $1 million,” Nicholas said as he shocked the audience.

    “Seriously?,” Drew asked.

The actual retail value for the workout equipment was $1,798, which was nowhere near Nicholas’ guess.

One viewer blasted the “stupidest bid ever,” while another ranted, “$ 1 million for an exercise bike? Come on.”

‘Price Is Right’ Audience Members Reveal On-Set Secrets From Filming

    Come on down!

Two diehard fans of The Price Is Right named Andrew and Amanda took to YouTube to share their behind-the-scenes journey on the beloved game show.

After applying to be audience members on The Price Is Right in December 2024, the married couple got their wish in March!

“Ever since kindergarten, I would have my chicken noodle soup and grilled cheese sandwich and watch The Price is Right,” Andrew gushed in the video. “I wanted to be on the show, or at least the studio audience.”

During the pair’s time on set, they learned a bit about the lay of the land! According to Andrew, host Drew Carey, who stays in his trailer between filming, is all about interacting with fans during commercial breaks. In fact, the social media personality called Carey, 66, “sweet, genuine, and nice.”

Although Amanda and Andrew didn’t get chosen out of the audience, they still had a blast — and spilled some secrets!

For starters, The Price is Right, which takes an hour and a half to film, is shot in the back of a church in the suburbs of Los Angeles. Moreover, outside of the staging area there’s a lobby with refreshments.

Fellow fans of The Price Is Right were happy to engage with Andrew and Amanda’s content while reminiscing about their own love of the show.

“When I see these clips and hear the music, it takes me back to being out sick from school and watching TV,” one user commented on YouTube. “That was awesome. What a fun video,” another added.

The Price Is Right, originally hosted by Bob Barker, premiered in September 1972. Drew Carey took over hosting in 2007. In February of this year, the series hit 10,000 episodes.

The Price Is Right airs on weekdays at 11:00 a.m. ET/10:00 a.m. PT.

It’s natural to be excited about winning a big prize on TV game shows known for theatrics and dramatic celebration, but sometimes people go overboard and hurt themselves as well as others. Recently a man got too aggressive while celebrating his win on ‘Price is Right.’ In another bizarre reaction after winning, a ‘Price is Right’ contestant got carried away on one episode back in 2018 and almost knocked the host Drew Carey off the stage. Carey was literally floored after a very enthusiastic hug from the winner.

Thankfully the stage lights slowed his momentum and prevented him from rolling off the stage. The contestant quickly picked herself up and helped the host to get up. However, the incident didn’t stop her from jumping constantly. “I’m so sorry,” Sona told Carey, who laughed off the incident. “I’m fine, I’m fine,” he assured her.

The show’s announcer George Gray went on to have some fun with Sona’s enthusiasm and told her, “Sona, do not break the host or our set, and then I will say, ‘How’d you like a brand new car?’” Many on X commented on the clip expressing different opinions. “Wow. Excitement is good but safety is another. One of the reasons Bob Barker retired. Could you imagine this happening at his age?” @TeresaHarp1129 wrote. Another user @Tanionhimself added, “I think Drew takes more contact from fans than anyone else. I’ve seen him get picked up, almost dropped, and now this crazy wrestling move. When will it end?”. User @KimberliLarae expressed her concern and wrote, “Oh gosh I hope he did not hurt his back.”

Winning moments can sometimes be outright weird, to say the least. Another crazy winning moment occurred on the game show during the Showcase Showdown. In the segment, the opponents are challenged to bid as close to the showcase’s value as possible. This time the showcase included a massage chair, a hot tub, and also a tropical getaway to Seychelles. After getting help from her mother in the audience, the contestant Alexandra guessed the retail price was $22,500. To her surprise, host Drew Carey revealed that the correct retail price was $22,664. As the crowd cheered, Alexandra stood there in disbelief and repeatedly asked Carey if she had won. Carey then revealed that Alexandra was a double showcase winner given that she had already got $250,000.

From 1995 to 2004, viewers were treated to a television sitcom that revolved around the retail office and home life of “everyman” Drew Carey on The Drew Carey Show. Although set in the actor’s native Cleveland, Ohio, and while the real-life comedian and TV character shared the same name, the fictionalized version was assistant director of personnel at Winfred-Louder, a Cleveland department store.

Alas, the TV Drew was stuck in the same job for 10 years and his life was fairly mundane. Drinking beer, fighting with co-worker Mimi and unable to get dates was his daily existence, but his saving grace was the fact that he and a few friends ran a small micro brewery out of his garage, selling Buzz Beer, a caffeinated alcoholic drink. So popular was the Buzz brew, that it began to be the drink of choice at the group’s hangout, The Warsaw Tavern.

Carey has explained that his character is what he himself would have been if he had not become an actor.

For a time, The Drew Carey Show — which ran for a total of 234 episodes — was enormously popular, resulting in a who’s who of guest stars, including Shirley Jones, Pauley Perrette (prior to NCIS), Eddie Money, Tim Allen, Norm MacDonald, Joe Walsh, Wayne Brady, Jamie Lee Curtis, Steve Buscemi, Wanda Sykes, Micky Dolenz, Jenny McCarthy, Tim Conway and Bob Costas. Even Donald Trump appeared as himself in Season 2’s “New York and Queens” episode.

The secret of the comedy sauce, of course, was the ensemble that was brought together, which leads to this look at the five main cast members who made us laugh week after week for nine years.

Drew Carey as Drew Allison Carey

Cleveland, Ohio is the place where Drew Carey first gained stardom and recognition after years of doing stand-up routines, which he would perform both there and in Los Angeles.

In 1985 he won an open mic contest followed by his first national exposure in the form of the Star Search competition series. After that, a guardian angel named Johnny Carson came to him in 1991, allowing him to perform on The Tonight Show. His routine impressed Carson so much that he invited Carey to the couch next to his desk — which was deemed a really big deal.

While still starring on The Drew Carey Show, he began hosting the American version of the improv comedy series Who’s Line Is It Anyway?. In turn, his skill at improv and hosting led to a call from CBS to replace the retiring Bob Barker as host of The Price Is Right.

While best known for his television work, Carey has done a limited number of films such as The Coneheads and Geppetto, plus he’s participated in The Masked Singer and Celebrity Wheel of Fortune.

Besides hosting and entertaining, Carey is an avid soccer fan and attended both the 2006 and 2010 FIFA World Cup games.

Carey has been open in regards to his bouts with severe depression. “I still get depressed, just like everyone else,” he commented, “but it’s not as bad as before. Just because you’re a celebrity, it doesn’t mean bad things don’t happen to you or you don’t have bad days. Everybody’s a person.”

As he regularly says while signing off of The Price is Right, “I’m a regular guy from Cleveland.”

Diedrich Bader as Oswald Lee Harvey: The Drew Carey Show

Excitable, dimwitted Oswald Lee Harvey (an obvious backwards play on words) was portrayed by actor and comedian Diedrich Bader for the entire length of the show’s run.

A frequent television guest star, beyond The Drew Carey Show he’s had recurring or starring roles on Danger Theatre (1993), Center of the Universe (2005 to 2005), Outsourced (2010 to 2011), Save Me (2013), Veep (2014 to 2019), American Housewife (2016 to 2021), Better Things (2016 to 2022) and Lucky Hank (2023). And while he’s voiced many animated characters, he’s probably best known for vocally creating Batman on Batman: The Brave and the Bold (2008 to 2011) and Harley Quinn (2019 to the present).

Born in Alexandria, Virginia, he moved with his family at age two to Paris, France. It was there that he developed a love for movie legends like Fred Astaire and Charlie Chaplin. In fact, on a fateful afternoon, when one of Chaplin’s movie reels burned in the theater’s projector, a four year-old Bader hopped on stage and entertained the crowd with a spot-on imitation of Chaplin’s Little Tramp character. He received a standing ovation, which set the course for the rest of his life – perform and entertain.

By the time he was in high school, the family had returned to the States where a casting director noticed Bader during a spring break in Sante Fe, New Mexico. Local auditions led the ambitious wannabe to move to Los Angeles and try his luck. He did land guest spots on many series, including CheersQuantum LeapStar Trek: The Next Generation and others.

Bader’s tongue-in-cheek delivery during one of his auditions was so enjoyed by filmmaker Penelope Spheeris that she hired him for the feature film version of The Beverly Hillbillies she directed. It was after his Hillbillies dual role as twins that he returned to television for The Drew Carey Show.

    Christa Miller as Kate O’Brien

Christa started off as a toddler being photographed by the famed Francesco Scavullo for an Ivory Snow ad alongside her mother, already a 60s supermodel. She was sidelined early on when a benign bone tumor had to be removed. Although she returned to modeling briefly, she decided to give it up when she moved to Los Angeles in 1990 to pursue her acting ambitions.

Her first foray into showbiz was on Kate & Allie which just so happened to star her real life aunt, Susan St. James. Other guest starring roles on Northern Exposure, Party of FiveFresh Prince of Bel Air and Seinfeld followed. Actually, it was her second appearance on Seinfeld that brought her into Drew Carey’s world when that series’ co-creator/writer Larry David helped Miller win over the producers of The Drew Carey Show.

Post Drew, Miller’s husband, Bill Lawrence, created a new comedy, Scrubs, and his wife was given a guest role which became a recurring one. In 2009, Christa began starring on Cougar Town alongside Courteney Cox — another sitcom created and produced by her husband, which ran until 2015.

When not appearing in front of a camera, Christa is mom to three kids.

Ryan Stiles as Lewis Kiniski: The Drew Carey Show

Erudite but unambitious janitor at DrugCo., Lewis was one of Drew’s best friends on The Drew Carey Show. Born in Seattle, Washington, Ryan Stiles moved with his family to Vancouver, British Columbia. Leaving high school just shy of graduation, he embarked on a series of stand-up appearances at clubs near his home, which eventually led to him performing with the Second City comedy troupe in Toronto and, later, Los Angeles.

In 1989, Stiles was a regular on Britain’s version of Whose Line Is It Anyway? and remained until its conclusion in 1998. Receiving critical praise while growing a devoted fan base, in 1995 he was asked by Drew Carey to be a regular on the then-upcoming sitcom.

As an actor, comedian and producer, whose work is often associated with improv comedy, other film and television roles soon followed, though he returned as a performer and executive producer for the revival of Whose Line Is It Anyway? in the summer of 2013. Although he had been compared to a giraffe — due to his towering height and lanky frame — on that show, he thrilled audiences with his spot-on impersonations of Carol Channing and John Wayne.

    Kathy Kinney as Mimi Bobeck

Co-worker Mimi Bobeck is a large woman with a clownish wardrobe, lots of makeup (including her trademark bright blue eye shadow) and a genuine dislike for Drew . Yet as popular as Mimi was, Kathy Kinney’s first memorable TV role was actually as the recurring Ms. Goddard, town librarian on Newhart.

Kathy started her showbiz career as a secretary at WCBS-TV in New York in the early 80s while pursuing comedic acting and improv.

Over the years, Kinney continually worked as a character actress with appearances in a number of movies and on several TV series, including Full House and Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, where she and Carey played goofy bad guys.
