The Price Is Right aired a special July 4 episode dedicated to first responders to the California wildfires of 2025. That was the last episode for a while from the beloved game show, which is also daytime TV’s top-rated daytime series. So, when will one of audience’s favorite games return with new episodes?
It was a milestone year for the hit series as it celebrated the 10,000th episode of The Price Is Right on February 26, 2025, on CBS. It was part of The Price Is Right Season 53, which premiered on September 23, 2024, and continued through June 27, with the July 4 bonus episode tacked onto the end of the season last week. The show is now on a summer vacation, but it will come back later this year.
When does The Price Is Right return?
The Price Is Right Season 54 will likely premiere in September 2025, with The Price Is Right at Night slated to air on Wednesdays at 9/8c starting in January 2026 (see the CBS fall 2025 schedule here).
An exact premiere date will be announced at a later time, but the game show has premiered at the end of September for several years in a row now. Given that episodes air daily on CBS, expect a Monday premiere date for its return. We’d predict that Season 54 will kick off on either Monday, September 22, or Monday, September 29. It will likely air in its usual time slot of 11a/10c on weekday mornings.
Where can I watch episodes of The Price Is Right?
While you wait for the return, past episodes of The Price Is Right — including installments from Season 53 — can be streamed on Paramount+. There are always Price Is Right reruns airing somewhere on TV throughout the year, so Drew Carey and late former host Bob Barker are never too far.
‘Jeopardy’ fans could witness changes in the new season that they might not be happy about
Big Changes Ahead: ‘Jeopardy!’ Fans Brace for a Season That Breaks Tradition. The beloved quiz show Jeopardy! is heading into a new season—but not without shaking things up. Longtime fans may be surprised (and possibly disappointed) by some unexpected changes to the format and presentation. One thing’s for sure: this season won’t be business as usual.

“Jeopardy!” has been one of the most popular TV game shows for many years without a lot of changes to its format. In fact, the only thing about the show that may be considered relatively new is host Ken Jennings. However, a recent report in The US Sun suggests that the show will see a couple of changes. One of those is not something that fans of the show will enjoy very much, but the showrunners might have their hands tied.
But, there will be no changes to the format of the show or how the game is played. As per an insider, there will only be minor changes to “jazz up” the 42nd season of the popular trivia show. The changes on the horizon are related to set design and the categories of the clues.
“But there will be new set pieces and, unfortunately for the fans, there will be some, perhaps even an increase, in sponsored categories. Producers know that’s not popular with fans, and quite frankly, a lot of the production team doesn’t like it either. But it’s part of the game. It helps with revenue and cross promotion, so it is what it is,” the insider added. Screenshot showing Ken Jennings talking to the players (Image source: Substack/Jeopardy!)
According to a TV Insider report, it is a category that is a part of the show only for promotional and advertising purposes. A lot of times, a product or a service will be advertised in this category. Sometimes, Hollywood stars read out the clues of a sponsored category if it’s there to promote a new movie or a TV show that they are in. A recent example of this is Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis reading clues for the “Freakier Fridays” category to promote their upcoming film, Freakier Friday.
Fans of the show usually do not like the sponsored category, and they won’t be happy about the showrunners adding more of it in the new season. A couple of years ago, fans had a discussion about the matter on Reddit. One user posted about it in r/Jeopardy, which started the discussion. “There are some product placement categories that I don’t mind (much), like the ones that tie into a TV series or movie that reflect the brainy nature of Jeopardy!” the post read.
“Categories like ‘Michael Strahan’s Skin Care Line’ from early this season or ‘Budweiser and Sports’ from the 9/7 rerun are incredibly annoying,” it further read. Several fans shared a similar point of view. “It does bug me a bit when they finish the category, and then the host says, ‘And you can watch [X], out in theaters this Friday,’” one user commented. “The only thing that really bugs me about it is that they seem obligated to go through all the questions in the sponsored categories in a round, but they’re often longer video clues that eat up time,” added another.
‘Price is Right’ contestant makes risky move after hearing his wife’s advice — ends up losing big

It’s always a good thing to listen to your wife, but one “Price is Right” contestant lost a significant amount of money by doing so. He had won a thousand bucks from a game, and his spouse asked him to throw it away, which he did like a dutiful husband. Unfortunately, what he won after that was way less. However, the contestant seemed to be happy just to be a part of the show and did not seem disappointed.
The contestant was a man named Rance, and he had won his way to the stage from Contestant’s Row. He was playing the Punch A Bunch game for the chance to win $25,000. The rules of the game are simple. As the name suggests, it is one that involves a lot of punching. A board will be brought to the stage with a lot of holes that one has to punch through.
Each of these holes has a prize money amount inside it, but there is only one $25,000 card. The only prize money amounts more than $1,000 were the 25 grand, $10,000, and $5,000. There was only one $10,000 card and three $5,000 cards. One doesn’t get an unlimited number of punches at the board, and one doesn’t even get a free punch. However, they can earn up to four shots at winning the big prize. Screenshot showing Drew Carey explaining the game to the contestant. (Image source: YouTube | Triniswagg92 Beastmode)
The way to do so is to correctly guess whether the prices of the four items on display were higher or lower. The first one shown was a pie-making set. The price shown was $20, and Rance guessed it to be higher. That was the correct answer, and he earned one punch. However, for the next two items, things did not go all that well. He incorrectly guessed the prices of a Chanel perfume and a water purifier.
Rance wasn’t the only one to blame, as he took the audience’s help for each of the products. He did so for the final item as well. It was a countertop pizza heater, which truly was a unique item. He guessed its price correctly with the audience’s help. The contestant now had a couple of chances to win the big prize. He did not take long to punch through the board twice. Host Drew Carey walked up to one of them and revealed the first prize. Screenshot showing Drew Carey with the $1,000 card. (Image source: YouTube | Triniswagg92 Beastmode)
The card had $1,000 written on it. At this point, Carey reminded the contestant that if he wanted to take a look at the next envelope, he had to throw this one away. There were not many prizes worth more than that. “My wife says go for it,” the contestant said. “His wife says throw away a thousand dollars and go for it,” the host said. As he pulled out the card and saw the prize, he quipped, “Your wife owes you $750.” The contestant had to be happy with $250.

ABC Is Going to ‘Cancel’ Major TV Show, Former Host Believes
No broadcast TV show is safe in 2025.
Is one of ABC’s biggest mainstays headed for cancellation?
Well, its former co-host thinks so, in the wake of CBS making the jaw-dropping decision to cancel The Late Show after decades.
Many believe that no show is safe at this point with the continuing decline of broadcast TV, but former ABC personality Rosie O’Donnell thinks that her former show, The View, is on the way out because of politics. (Credit: Jenny Anderson/ABC via Getty Images)
In a recent TikTok post, she referenced recent Daily Beast reporting that claimed ABC execs want the all-female-panel talk show to tone down its political discourse. O’Donnell, who was a co-host from 2006-2007 and 2014-2015, believes the Disney-owned network will go as far as to “cancel” the show entirely. (It’s worth noting that this appears to be the comedian’s opinion, not her citing her acquaintances who work on the daytime talk show.)
“You know what I just read today? ABC is ‘reviewing the liberal bias’ on The View. The VIEW. The show with five women speaking [their] own opinions – That’s the threat now,” O’Donnell posted. “They say they’re not canceling it— they’re just ‘reviewing the bias.’ Which is code for – we’re gonna cancel it we’re just trying to soften you up first.’”
She went on to add, “So here’s my question: When they cancel The View— who’s gonna be left to say, ‘This is insane’? Because this isn’t just about a TV show. It’s about what happens when powerful men decide they’ve heard enough from women.” (Credit: Lou Rocco/Disney General Entertainment Content via Getty Images)
While there is no industry reporting claiming that ABC will axe the popular daytime talk show, political tensions seem to be at an all-time high. The White House actually issued a statement to Entertainment Weekly saying that Joy Behar “should self-reflect on her own jealousy of President Trump’s historic popularity before her show is the next to be pulled off air,” in response to Behar claiming Trump was “jealous” of former POTUS Barack Obama.
It’s worth noting that in the case of The Late Show, financial struggles are being cited as the main reason CBS canceled it. However, many have also said that President Trump’s dislike of host Stephen Colbert surely didn’t help matters.
As for The View, new episodes won’t be coming for a while — but not because of a cancellation. The ABC series is set to begin its usual summer hiatus.
Today viewers were left stunned after Dylan Dreyer made a bold and unexpected move involving her ex-husband. The moment, captured on camera, quickly became the talk of the internet. Fans are divided—some applaud her maturity, others question her motives.
‘Today’ Fans Left Confused After Dylan Dreyer’s Latest Move With Her Ex-Husband
Despite a divorce, the estranged couple are co-parenting well.
No impending divorce will keep Dylan Dreyer away from her family. The Today show staple announced her separation from husband, Brian Fichera, recently. Despite such, the estranged couple took a vacation together.
Fans were shocked to see them together again so soon after breaking up, and some even wonder if a reconciliation is in progress. But they are seemingly simply co-parenting.
On July 29, the Today co-host took to her Instagram page to share a slideshow of photos from a recent beach vacation, including Fichera and the pair’s three children, Calvin – 8, Oliver – 5, and Rusty – 3. Other family members were also on the trip. “Find joy in things around you, take a deep breath, count to 10. You’ll soon find you’re living under sunny skies again,” she captioned the post.
Dreyer announced her separation on July 18. “For many years I have shared my family with you all — the highs and lows. The ups and downs. And all of the blessings and beautiful memories in between. I am incredibly grateful for the support and love you’ve given me through it all. For that reason, I want to share with you that a few months ago, Brian and I made the decision to separate,” she wrote on Instagram at the time.
She continued, “We began as friends, and we will remain the closest of friends. Most importantly, we will continue to co-parent our three wonderful boys together with nothing but love and respect for one another.”
The two met while working together at a Boston news station in 2012. She’s been open about how their busy schedules have kept them apart.
“Our schedules mean we don’t see each other much, but we text all the time,” she previously said in an interview, per E! News. “Sometimes it’s even easier to have an important or deep conversation via text because we get all our thoughts out without being interrupted.”
Reba McEntire rightly scolds ‘Voice’ contestant for changing up ‘one of the most iconic and beautifully written songs of all time’
“When you’re singing a song that is so well-known as ‘How Deep Is Your Love,’ you need to stay with the melody,” straight-shooter Reba warned Mac Royals. But he totally ignored her advice.
Reba McEntire warns Mac Royals and Rachele Ngyuen to repsect the Bee Gees during their Battle Rounds rehearsal on ‘The Voice.’ (NBC)
The Voice Season 24 Battle Rounds continued apace Tuesday, and when two of Reba McEntire’s contestants, crooners Mac Royals and Rachele Ngyuen, were assigned “How Deep Is Your Love,” Mac described the Bee Gees’ Saturday Night Fever end-credits ballad as “one of the most iconic and beautifully written songs of all time.” And that was not hyperbole. The song really is that perfect.
So, it made absolutely no sense when Mac then audaciously and somewhat blasphemously decided to stray far from the song’s beloved melody, so that he and Rachele could “give the people a little of what we do and what we like.” Reba, who is proving to be a refreshingly real straight-shooter this season, was quick to shut that strategy down during rehearsals.
Or, at least, she tried to shut it down.
“Mac, I didn’t think you were hearing the beat. You kind of went in a different direction on it,” a mildly perturbed Reba observed, as she wisely warned both singers not to change up the classic tune too drastically. “The reason we pick the songs we do is because of familiarity. … [Fans] want something they can sing along to. When you’re singing a song that is so well-known as ‘How Deep Is Your Love,’ you need to stay with the melody [viewers] remember, so [they] can sing with you and be a part of the show.”
Mac nodded in seeming agreement, so I still expected the buttery-voiced busker-by-day to excel over less experienced teenager Rachele. But honestly, neither of them did the Bee Gees’ classic much justice. Their vocals didn’t blend well, despite Reba pairing them because they were both from the “R&B space.” Rachele’s off-the-rails wailing was try-hard and cloying. But, most vexingly, Mac was constantly singing behind the beat, against his coach’s clear wishes, presumably on purpose in an attempt to make the song his own.
After their Battle Rounds performance, tough-lovin’ Reba was quick to chastise Mac onstage for his questionable artistic decisions, bluntly stating: “Mac, I still wish we could have stayed with the Bee Gees’ version of the opening, because that kind of threw me again — as it did in our rehearsals.”
Reba ultimately chose Rachele, who at least tried to take direction this week, but John Legend surprisingly stole Mac, explaining that Mac has “the kind of voice I love to listen to, right in my wheelhouse.” But really, if any performance should have been montaged Tuesday, it was this one. Instead, four other singers from John’s supposedly stacked team had their Battles inexplicably edited down to mere blink-and-you’ll-miss-‘em seconds.
Here’s how the rest of Tuesday’s Battles — the good, the bad, and the montaged — played out:
TEAM NIALL: Nini Iris vs. Sophia Hoffman, “Heart of Glass”
Nini turned four chairs at her Blind Audition, while returning contestant Sophia turned no chairs when she tried out in Season 23 last spring. So, this Battle definitely seemed like a Davey/Goliath situation. There was also the legitimate concern, which Niall Horan voiced, that Blondie’s Studio 54 floor-filler “could easily turn into a karaoke song” if either contestant didn’t nail the right rock ‘n’ roll vibe. Niall didn’t need to worry about that at first, because the intro’s slowed-to-a-crawl, almost gothic arrangement was markedly different from the 1979 original. But once the house band’s wocka-wocka hustle beats kicked in and the girls started bouncing and bopping around, their disco performance did veer into drunken-bachelorette-party territory. Nini ultimately elevated the moment with her raw charisma and theatrical presentation; in other words, Goliath won this Battle. Niall thought both women “sang the roof off this place” and hoped one of the other coaches would swoop in for the Steal to alleviate his guilt, but this round was the last dance for Sophia.
WINNER: Nini Iris
TEAM GWEN: Calla Prejean vs. Chechi Sarai, “I Will Never Love Again”
These two pop/R&B powerhouses were assigned Lady Gaga’s mighty A Star Is Born weeper, which proved to be a challenge for poised perfectionist Chechi. “Stop trying to be a singer, and start trying to be a person that we want to get to know,” Gwen Stefani gently but wisely scolded her. Thankfully, Chechi took that direction, allowed herself to be vulnerable, and proceeded to dominate this duet, using her potentially gimmicky Minnie Riperton-esque whistle notes to great effect while still maintaining connection throughout. Meanwhile, Calla’s attempt to heed Gwen’s advice about creating smoother transitions between dynamics didn’t work out quite as well; John even described Calla’s approach as “unsure.” And so, a star was born tonight, and that star was… Chechi.
WINNER: Chechi Sarai
TEAM LEGEND: Talakai vs. Caleb Sasser, “Too Good at Goodbyes”
Talakai received a lot of screentime during the Blinds because he looked so much like his coach John’s long-lost twin, but apparently the “family resemblance” didn’t given him any nepotistic advantage this week. He must not have been too good at singing “Too Good at Goodbyes,” because this performance was ruthlessly montaged. John instead went with Caleb, whose tone he described as “intriguing and mysterious.” I’m just intrigued by the mystery of what really happened with poor Talakai.
TEAM LEGEND: JaRae Womack vs. Lila Forde, “Killing Me Softly”
This montage was another big mystery. John has seemed like the coach to beat all season, with eight of his 14 contestants being four-chair turns — and I totally expected one of those four-chair standouts, who also happens to be a member of R&B royalty, to get plenty of screentime this season. But actual nepotism didn’t work here either. Bobby Womack’s niece, JaRae, was only fleetingly shown Tuesday harmonizing with her opponent and this Battle’s ultimate victor, Lila Forde, who John said possessed a “unique magic.” And then, JaRae magically disappeared.
Chance the Rapper Says His Kids Are Already Performers and Aren’t Impressed by Celebrities
Chance the Rapper is opening up about his talented children.
On Monday’s episode of “The Jennifer Hudson Show,” the Chicago-born MC gushed to JHud about his two daughters: Kensli, 7, and Marli, 3.
During the chat, Chance said his kids are already performers who “love singing and dancing.”
“Marli is dramatic,” he told Jennifer Hudson about his youngest. “She has a lot of back and forth. She’s very expressive and feisty.”
Chance said the eldest, Kensli, is a “strong leader” who is “very well spoken” with “a huge vocabulary.”
“She was born with perfect pitch,” Chance added. “[With] any song, she goes crazy.”
Chance said that while Kensli and Marli recognize that their father is famous — because fans come up to him — he thinks “they don’t know anybody else is famous.”
“They don’t get impressed by anybody. They know I sing and they like my songs,” Chance explained.
Later in the interview, Chance told Jennifer that he recently took his father on his very first trip to Ghana.
Though Chance’s father didn’t travel to Ghana till he was 59, their family has a rich history with the West African country.
“A lot of our grandparents had connections between West Africa and here. My great-grandmother spent a lot of time in Ghana, at church, and [she] built schools,” Chance noted.
Chance said the trip with his dad “was deep.”
“It was a real good connection between me and my father,” he added.
On January 26, 2023, Chance will return to Ghana for the Black Star Line Festival, which will take place at Black Star Square in the capital city of Accra.

Shelby Blackstock, who is the only child of Reba McEntire, and his wife Marissa have been trying to get pregnant for over a year now — but they’ve faced some challenges along the way.
On Sunday (Nov. 26), Marissa shared a lengthy social media post detailing the fertility struggles she and her husband have encountered.
After trying through natural methods for some time, she explains, they enlisted the help of “Nashville’s top OBGYN,” and November marked their first medicated cycle. “Though it didn’t bring the news we hoped for, I’m reminded that success is about more than just results — it’s about gratitude for our health and each other,” Marissa writes.
“We’ve faced some scares,” she continues elsewhere in the post, explaining that she’s undergone an MRI for “prolactinemia-related concerns” as well as an HSG test, with results coming back clear for both. According to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, hysterosalpingography (HSG) is “an X-ray procedure that is used to view the inside of the uterus and fallopian tubes,” and can show if the fallopian tubes are blocked or if the uterus is of normal size and shape.
“The two-week wait (TWW) has been full of ups and downs,” Marissa adds, referring to the two weeks between when ovulation occurs and when a pregnancy can be detected by a home pregnancy test. “I’m not looking for sympathy, but a bit of understanding goes a long way.”
Although she speaks openly about the challenges and disappointments she and her husband are facing, Marissa’s post also sheds light on the positive side of their journey towards parenthood. “Shelby has been an incredibly supportive partner through all of this. His strength and optimism have been my rock,” she writes. “Amid the challenges, we’ve found that it helps immensely to have little things to look forward to.”
Marissa concludes her message by explains she wants to help break the stigma and silence that often surrounds fertility issues.
“It’s a tougher and more common journey than many realize,” she points out. “If you’re in the midst of this too, remember, you’re not alone. The emotional whirlwind is completely normal. Let’s keep supporting each other, finding joy in the small things, and holding onto hope.”
Marissa also shared more of her experience on an Instagram Stories slide, posting a photo of a cocktail that she ordered to help ease the disappointment of a negative pregnancy test (which she refers to as a “BFN,” short for “Big Fat Negative.”)
“Helping myself to a spicy marg after a BFN,” she writes.
Blackstock and Marissa got married in Walt Disney World in February 2022. Of course, McEntire herself was on hand to celebrate, and she even took the spotlight once or twice during the festivities. The mother and son danced to “You’re Gonna Be (Always Loved By Me),” McEntire’s own 2005 release, and she even sang her hit “Fancy” for guests at the reception.

‘The Voice’: John Legend Addresses Whether Blake Shelton Will Ever Return to Show
Amy Sussman/Getty Images; Jason Davis/Getty Images)
Following Blake Shelton‘s exit from The Voice at the end of Season 23, John Legend is now the longest-tenured coach on the NBC singing competition series. But could the country star ever return to the hot seat?
“I feel like Gwen [Stefani] is the only chance we have. I don’t think Blake is coming back,” Legend said with a laugh when speaking with Entertainment Tonight. “He is staying on the farm; he’s enjoying himself.”
“I’ve talked to him and he’s, like, picking corn. He sent us some fresh corn from the farm, he sent us some fresh peaches from the farm, we made peach cobbler,” the EGOT winner continued. “I don’t think he has any desire to come back to Hollywood and film The Voice.”
Even though a Voice reunion seems out of the question, Legend said he still regularly keeps in touch with his former co-stars.
“We have different group chats for each combo of coaches, and then Chrissy [Teigen, Legend’s wife], Gwen, and Blake and I have a group chat where we’re just couples talking,” he shared. “We usually stay in touch with each other and we’re friends. It’s just a good vibe with all the other coaches.”
The Voice
The Voice has seen several departures in recent years, with Shelton, Stefani, Kelly Clarkson, and Niall Horan all exiting as coaches. But Legend remains committed to the show as he now coaches alongside Reba McEntire, Chance the Rapper, and Dan + Shay.
“I love coaching on The Voice,” he stated. “I love working with our artists, just seeing people’s dreams come true through this show, giving them all the advice I’ve gotten over the years, helping them learn from all the experiences that I’ve had over the years. It’s a lot of fun for me.”
Legend is the only current coach with a win to his name, but he knows the competition is strong.
“[Reba’s] obviously very seasoned in her career, she’s done everything from television to many, many, many, many, many hit songs over her career and performing on every stage you can imagine,” the “Ordinary People” singer said. “She just brings such a wealth of experience and expertise to our show. We’re so lucky to have her.”
Meanwhile, he said Dan + Shay bring that “new coach fire,” explaining, “They’re trying to win. We definitely battled back and forth when it came to the blind auditions, and yeah, they’ve got the fire. They want to win.”
The Voice continues with the Battle Rounds tonight, Tuesday, March 19.
