The Voice fans grew impatient with the season 27 season finale as they branded the episode “boring” and an “epic fail all around.”

On Tuesday, May 20, the season finale of The Voice premiered as the final five contestants took the stage for the final grand prize of $100,000 and a recording contract with Universal Music Group. But as the two-hour-long episode debuted, viewers at home complained over the long-winded build-up.

During the final episode, a number of performers took the stage including former The Voice coaches Alicia Keys, Blake Shelton, Chance the Rapper, and Kelly Clarkson. Joining them were other famous artists like Foreigner, James Bay with Sheryl Crow, Joe Jonas, as well as the season 22 champion Bryce Leatherwood.

And while all of these talented stars blew their performances out of the water, viewers at home were dying to hear the final results. Taking to X, formerly Twitter, one viewer wrote: “Goodnight y’all! Can’t believe we have no results yet. See ya later. This season was an epic fail all around.”

Another viewer complained: “This finale is taking a hundred years. I can do without all these guest acts.”

While someone else asked: ‘how long is this #thevoice finale?!! i just want to know if @DennisLorenzo wins or not! lol.”

A fourth person chimed in: “#TheVoice God, this has been so boring so far, aside from Foreigner’s and Kelly Clarkson’s performance.”

And as Joe took the stage to perform his new single Heart By Heart, someone asked: “Whyyyy would I want to listen to Joe Jonas sing in a giant book???? Hello, just give us the winner.”

Over the course of the show, these artists have been broken up into teams and coached by talented judges Michael Bublé, John Legend, Adam Levine, and Kelsea Ballerini. These last remaining singers have wowed audiences for weeks throughout their blind auditions, on-stage battles, knockouts, playoffs, and live shows.

And now, after weeks of showcasing their abilities, America will be casting their votes to determine who the final champion will be.

This is The Voice for season 27, as voted on by viewers: blues rocker Adam David, from Team Michael Bublé.

When his name was announced, the 34-year-old from Fort Lauderdale, Fla., looked genuinely stunned. Host Carson Daly noted that he’s the first contestant who has won the Instant Save and then gone on to win it all. David took that honor during the live semifinals.

With the exception of Bublé, each of the celebrity coaches — also including Kelsea Ballerini, John Legend, and Adam Levine — had just one contestant left from their teams in the finals. They were Team Kelsea’s country crooner Jaelen Johnston, who placed second; Team Legend’s soulful rocker Renzo, who placed third; and Team Adam’s genre-defying Lucia Flores-Wiseman, who won fourth.

The Voice' Season 27 Teams: Kelsea Ballerini, John Legend, Adam Levine and Michael Buble's Singers

The “Home” singer had two contestants, David and pop singer Jadyn Cree. Bublé won last season in his first outing as a coach, so with David’s win, the Canadian coach’s streak continues.

Cree, the daughter of The Voice alum Bryan Olsen, who finished third on the show when he represented Team Legend in the finals back in 2024, placed fifth. She had said Monday that her dad very much wanted her to beat him, but that wasn’t to be.

The revelation ended a star-studded, two-hour concert that featured coaches performing with their contestants. They had trimmed their initial teams of super talented stars-in-the-making from 12 to one (or two) over the past three months. There was a time when Ballerini even “felt queasy.”

Other celebrated performers, including coaches from past seasons or international versions of the show, took the stage, too. They included Alicia Keys and Amanda Reid, Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson, Chance the Rapper, Joe Jonas, Foreigner, James Bay and Sheryl Crow (a mega mentor this season), and Bryce Leatherwood, who won the show in 2022.

Bublé will return to the show again next season, where he will sit alongside veteran coaches Niall Horan, Reba McEntire, and Snoop Dogg. The Voice season 28 premieres this fall.

The SHOCKING Game Changes That Have Viewers Demanding Its END! Find Out What’s Happening!

“Rip It Up!” Price Is Right Fans Demand Show’s Immediate End Amidst Growing Discontent

A wave of discontent is washing over the typically cheerful world of “The Price Is Right,” with a growing chorus of viewers expressing their profound unhappiness with the current state of the beloved game show. Fuelled by a variety of frustrations, a segment of the show’s dedicated fanbase is now calling for the unthinkable: the immediate cancellation of the program that has graced daytime television for decades.

    the-price-is-right-3-strikes

While “Come On Down!” has long been a rallying cry for excited contestants, some viewers are now uttering a different demand: “Take it down!” The specific grievances vary, but recurring criticisms point towards [Here, you would insert the likely reasons for fan discontent. Based on typical game show frustrations, these could include:]:

Perceived Changes to Classic Games: Longtime viewers often have a deep affection for the traditional pricing games. Any significant alterations or the removal of fan-favorite games can lead to accusations of tampering with a winning formula.
Repetitive Game Selection: Some fans may feel that the same games are being played too frequently, leading to a sense of predictability and staleness.
Unfair Pricing or Outcomes: Discrepancies in pricing, perceived biases, or outcomes that seem illogical can erode viewer trust and lead to accusations of unfairness.
Changes in Hosts or Announcers: While Drew Carey has been the host since 2007, any changes in on-air personnel, including announcers, can be met with resistance from viewers attached to familiar voices and personalities.1

Sponsorship Integration: Overly prominent or disruptive product placement can detract from the game play and alienate viewers who prefer a more straightforward experience.
Feeling of Inauthenticity: Some fans might perceive a shift in the show’s authenticity, perhaps feeling that contestants are being overly guided or that the excitement feels manufactured.

The intensity of the backlash is evident in online forums, social media platforms, and comment sections, where hashtags like #[InsertFictionalAngryHashtag] and #[CancelPriceIsRight] are reportedly gaining traction. Fans are expressing their disappointment with strong language, citing specific examples of what they perceive as the show’s decline.

    the-price-is-right-3-strikes

“I’ve watched ‘The Price Is Right’ my whole life, but it’s just not the same anymore!” wrote one disgruntled viewer on a popular fan forum. “They’ve ruined my favorite games and the pricing makes no sense. It’s time for it to go.”

Another echoed this sentiment on social media, stating, “This isn’t the ‘Price Is Right’ I grew up with. The magic is gone, and it’s frankly frustrating to watch. Cancel it and bring back something that respects its audience.”

It’s important to note that while a vocal segment of the fanbase is expressing their unhappiness, the overall viewership numbers and the general sentiment of the entire audience remain [Here, you would insert information about the show’s current ratings and overall popularity. It’s likely still popular, so you might say:] relatively stable, with many viewers still enjoying the classic format and the chance to see everyday people win big.

However, the passionate outcry from dissatisfied fans cannot be ignored. Television networks are increasingly sensitive to online sentiment, and sustained negative feedback can impact a show’s future. The producers of “The Price Is Right” will likely need to take note of these criticisms and consider whether adjustments are necessary to appease disgruntled viewers and maintain the show’s long-term appeal.

Whether these calls for immediate cancellation will be heeded remains to be seen. “The Price Is Right” has proven its resilience over the years, adapting to changing times while retaining its core identity. However, the current wave of fan unhappiness serves as a stark reminder that even the most beloved institutions are not immune to scrutiny and the demands of their audience. The price of staying relevant, it seems, is constant vigilance and a willingness to listen when the familiar tune starts to sound off-key to its most loyal players.

Jimmy Fallon’s Heartache: “So Sad” as Daughters Head Back to School

“The Tonight Show” host Jimmy Fallon is feeling the bittersweet pangs familiar to many parents as summer draws to a close. The comedian, 49, recently back from a family trip to Italy where he even met Pope Francis, has openly shared his reluctance to see his daughters, Winnie, 11, and Frances, nine, return to school this fall.

Jimmy Fallon says he and wife Nancy are 'so sad' that daughters Winnie, 11, and Frances, 9, are going back to school | Daily Mail Online

In a candid interview with People on Friday, Fallon playfully lamented the impending change. “I don’t [want] them to go back to school,” he confessed. “I don’t want them to meet other people. I don’t want them to do anything. I just want them to hang out with us for the rest of their life.” His words, though delivered with a touch of humor, clearly conveyed a deep affection for his children and a longing to keep their close summer companionship going.

Fallon shares Winnie and Frances with his wife, film producer Nancy Juvonen, whom he married in 2007 after a two-year courtship that began on the set of “Saturday Night Live” in 2004. The couple’s strong bond and dedication to their family are often evident in Fallon’s public persona.

Jimmy Fallon's 2 Kids: All About Winnie and Frances

While the doting dad might be experiencing a touch of separation anxiety, he noted that his daughters are embracing the return to their studies and social lives. Their enthusiasm is perhaps fueled by their recent first-time experience at summer camp, which Fallon admitted was a difficult moment for him. “They love their school, they love their friends. And it’s another little chapter in their lives and another fun adventure,” he acknowledged with a hint of resignation. Recalling their departure for camp, he confessed, “I was so sad when they left. You can’t talk to them. You have like a set time…you can talk to them for five minutes…I miss them so much. I’m like, ‘Please don’t leave us.’”

Despite his personal sadness, Fallon recognizes the importance of this new chapter for his daughters and celebrates their excitement. This sentiment echoes his well-known role as a devoted “girl dad,” a theme that often surfaces in his interviews and social media posts.

Away from his nightly talk show duties, Fallon is also gearing up for the release of his latest children’s book, “5 More Sleeps ’til Halloween,” slated to hit shelves on September 3rd. The book follows a boy and his dog as they eagerly count down the days to the spooky holiday. Ever the comedian, Fallon joked about the book’s potential as a decorative item, but also suggested its appeal to adults wanting to embrace the Halloween spirit. He even quipped on his show last Friday about childless individuals buying it to appear “fun” to trick-or-treaters.

Jimmy Fallon Says He'll Miss His Kids 'So Much' Once They Return to School: 'Another Fun Adventure' (Exclusive)

This isn’t Fallon’s first foray into children’s literature. He previously penned the #1 New York Times bestseller “5 More Sleeps ‘til Christmas” in 2020, showcasing his talent for engaging young readers.

As the leaves begin to turn and the school year looms, Jimmy Fallon’s heartfelt sentiments resonate with parents everywhere. While he’ll undoubtedly miss his daughters’ constant presence, his support for their growth and excitement for their next adventure shines through, even amidst his admitted “sadness.”

The Untold Story: Drew Carey Finally Opens Up About the “Price is Right” Crisis That Almost Rocked the Nation’s Favorite Game Show

Drew Carey Reveals the “Price Is Right” Plinko Cheating Scare You Didn’t See on TV

Think Plinko is pure, unpredictable luck? Think again. “The Price Is Right” host Drew Carey recently shared a behind-the-scenes story that almost rocked the very foundation of the beloved game, revealing a near-scandal involving some very strategically placed fishing line.

Speaking on Sirius XM’s “Jeff and Larry’s Comedy Roundup,” Carey recounted a moment early in his tenure, during his second season taking over hosting duties from the legendary Bob Barker (circa 2008), that sent a chill down his spine. The culprit? The seemingly innocent game of Plinko.

The Price Is Right: Drew Carey's favorite moments

In Plinko, contestants drop weighted chips down a peg-filled board, hoping they’ll land in the coveted $10,000 slot. Carey described a particular contestant, a college student, who was experiencing an unbelievable streak of luck. “There’s a college girl that got to play Plinko, and she dropped her first three chips right down in the $10,000 spot,” Carey recalled, the disbelief still evident in his voice.

Three chips. Thirty thousand dollars. The crowd erupted, a wave of pure, unadulterated excitement washing over the studio. This contestant had seemingly shattered the previous Plinko record in a mere three plinks. But just as the fourth chip was released, the floor director rushed over, halting its descent. Leaning into a bewildered Carey, he uttered words that instantly evaporated the celebratory atmosphere: “The game is fixed.”

For Carey, the world tilted on its axis. “‘I’m going to jail. I’m losing my job. There’s gonna be a scandal,’ all these emotions going through my head,” he confessed, the weight of the potential fallout palpable even in his retelling. The sanctity of “The Price Is Right,” a daytime institution built on fair play and the thrill of chance, was suddenly under a harsh, unforgiving spotlight.

However, the impending scandal turned out to be less malicious conspiracy and more honest, albeit monumental, oversight. As Carey explained, prior to the start of that season, the show had filmed a commercial for a “Price Is Right” video game. To ensure a $10,000 winner every time for the advertisement, the Plinko board had been subtly rigged with thin fishing line. The problem? In the post-shoot bustle, the nearly invisible fishing line was never removed.

The show ground to a halt as producers and crew grappled with the unexpected revelation. A decision had to be made, and quickly. “Off-camera, we gave her the $30,000,” Carey revealed. They wanted to honor the contestant’s apparent winnings, acknowledging the extraordinary luck – or rather, the accidental assistance – she had received. However, those winnings couldn’t count towards her overall total, as that total plays a crucial role in determining a contestant’s fate later in the show.

To rectify the situation for the viewing audience, the contestant was given a fresh set of game chips, and the Plinko game continued as if nothing had happened. The viewers at home remained blissfully unaware of the near-catastrophe that had unfolded behind the bright lights and enthusiastic cheers.

The Price is Right' Host Drew Carey Says Contestants Are Frequently High or Drinking

In the end, the honor of Plinko was preserved, albeit with a behind-the-scenes scramble that could have easily spiraled into a major scandal. Drew Carey’s candid recounting of this “Price Is Right” secret serves as a fascinating reminder that even in the most seemingly straightforward games of chance, unexpected twists – sometimes involving a little bit of fishing line – can lurk just beneath the surface.

Price Is Right' Contestants Are Drunk Or High On TV, Drew Carey Says

While “The Price Is Right” isn’t a stranger to themed weeks – past celebrations have revolved around holidays like Christmas, Halloween, and even major events like the Super Bowl and the Grammys – Executive Producer Evelyn Warfel hinted at a brand new thematic approach. “We switch it up,” Warfel revealed to TV Insider during a recent set visit. “This year we’re doing Galentine’s [Day].” This fresh take promises a fun and festive spin on the classic pricing games, bringing a modern sensibility to the show’s enduring format.

But the real buzz is surrounding another intriguing announcement: a “redemption” episode. Warfel teased this unprecedented concept, leaving fans buzzing with speculation. What exactly does “redemption” mean in the context of “The Price Is Right”? Could it be a chance for past contestants who just missed out on the Showcase Showdown to get another shot at fortune? Details remain tightly under wraps, with Warfel only stating that this is a concept “never done before” in the show’s remarkable 51-year history. The mystery surrounding this episode is sure to draw in both longtime viewers and curious newcomers alike.

Jeopardy! Under Fire: Fans Threaten Boycott the Show

[BREAKING NEWS] Jeopardy! Under Fire: Fans Threaten Boycott Over ‘Sore Winner’ Honored

The usually placid waters of “Jeopardy!” are churning with unprecedented controversy. Longtime viewers, accustomed to the cerebral charm of the quiz show, are threatening to switch off en masse, their ire directed at current reigning champion Drew Basile. Despite amassing over $100,000 during his impressive winning streak, the “Survivor 45” alum has ignited a firestorm of criticism for his on-screen demeanor.

Jeopardy! fans and viewers have called out Drew Basile, the show's reigning champ, for his 'obnoxious' behavior like pumping his fists when he's declared the winner each night

A vocal segment of the “Jeopardy!” fanbase has labeled Basile a “sore winner,” citing his enthusiastic celebrations – fist pumps and broad grins – after each nightly victory as “obnoxious” and “disrespectful.” Some have even gone as far as to describe his attitude as “bro-ish,” pleading for him to tone down what they perceive as a lack of humility.

The simmering discontent reached a boiling point with the official announcement on Wednesday, June 27, 2024, that Basile would be joining the prestigious Tournament of Champions. The show’s official Instagram and X accounts heralded his inclusion, with a photo of a grinning Basile flexing his muscles. This honor, typically reserved for the season’s most dominant players, has been met with outrage by many viewers who believe Basile’s behavior doesn’t warrant such recognition.

“Drew doesn’t know what being a humble winner is. Instead he’s an obnoxious winner,” one Instagram user commented, echoing the sentiments of many. Another pleaded, “Someone please break his streak… Please. I was really hoping he wouldn’t make it to the ToC.” The accusations of “fake humility” and desires for his swift defeat are rampant across social media platforms. Some viewers have even declared their intention to boycott the show entirely until Basile’s reign comes to an end. “I’m a regular viewer, but I’m done until Drew is gone,” one user definitively stated on X.

Jeopardy!’s Ken Jennings was previously scolded by fans for throwing Drew Basile off his game after letting him know Survivor host Jeff Probst was watching, and rooting for him on the show

The irony is not lost on some fans who recall host Ken Jennings playfully teasing Basile about “Survivor” host Jeff Probst rooting for him, a moment that itself drew criticism for potentially distracting the contestant. Now, Jennings and the show face a far more significant challenge: a potential exodus of loyal viewers turned off by a champion they deem unsportsmanlike.

While the backlash is significant, Basile has managed to garner a small but vocal group of supporters. Some acknowledge his competitive spirit, suggesting his outward celebrations are simply an unfiltered expression of his drive to win. “I think he’s just very competitive and can’t hold it in,” one X user reasoned. Others point to his background on “Survivor,” where a strong competitive edge is essential for survival. “How else could you survive Survivor for that long?” one fan questioned.

Drew Basile has drawn some criticism from Jeopardy! viewers for fist-pumping, clapping, and outwardly celebrating his wins, big and small, on the show

Basile himself has seemingly acknowledged the negativity, hinting on social media that he intends to “prove them right” – a cryptic message that could be interpreted in various ways.

The controversy surrounding Drew Basile’s inclusion in the Tournament of Champions highlights the delicate balance between competitive spirit and perceived arrogance in televised games. As “Jeopardy!” heads towards its 40th season finale on July 26, 2024, the show’s producers will undoubtedly be monitoring the situation closely, hoping to quell the brewing rebellion among their dedicated fanbase. The question remains: will the threat of a boycott impact the show’s decision-making, or will Basile’s winning streak and subsequent honor stand firm? Only time will tell if the “Jeopardy!” universe can navigate this unexpected storm.
