Former ‘SNL’ Host Shocks ‘The View’ With Her Story About An Audience Member’s Bold Question

    'The View'

    ‘The View’

Roseanne star Sara Gilbert was only 18 years old when she hosted Saturday Night Live — and the actress recently had a “full-circle” experience when she returned to Studio 8H for a taping with her daughter.

Gilbert appeared on this morning’s episode of The View, during which co-host Sara Haines asked what she remembered from her time hosting the sketch comedy series. Meanwhile, producers played a clip from a 1994 sketch starring Gilbert and Mike Myers.

“It was kind of amazing because I was a college freshman,” Gilbert said. “It was a cool thing to be like, to your roommates, ‘Hey, do you guys want to come to SNL?’ I’m so lucky that that happened.”

The Conners star, who has received two Primetime Emmy Award nominations for her role as Darlene Conner, hosted Saturday Night Live when Myers, Chris Farley, Adam Sandler, David Spade and Rob Schneider were full-time cast members.

Despite getting to star alongside some of the SNL greats, not everyone was aware of Gilbert’s appearance on the show. The star learned as much when she recently went to a taping with her daughter during their trip to New York City.

“I’m taking one of my kids on a college tour while we’re here. We’re looking at different schools,” Gilbert began. “And she’s obsessed with SNL so it was her dream to go.”

“So we went and we watched in the audience and then one of the people in the audience next to me turned to me and said, ‘Have you ever been to a taping?’” she continued. “So I just said, ‘Yeah, I think so. A long time ago.’”

It sounds like someone needs to brush up on their SNL knowledge!

John Goodman Was “Brokenhearted” When Roseanne Ended, Insists Barr Is Not Racist

John Goodman and Roseanne Barr on the set of Roseanne.

Months after ABC canceled Roseanne following a racist tweet from Roseanne Barr, John Goodman has opened up about how he felt in the days and months following the show’s abrupt ending, yubi. “I was brokenhearted, but I thought, ‘O.K., it’s just show business, I’m going to let it go,’” Goodman told The Times of London in a recent interview. “But I went through a period, about a month, where I was very depressed. I’m a depressive anyway, so any excuse that I can get to lower myself, I will. But that had a great deal to do with it, more than I wanted to admit.”

When asked how he felt about ABC’s response to Barr’s tweet—“Muslim brotherhood & planet of the apes had a baby=vj,” a reference to former Barack Obama senior adviser Valerie Jarrett—the magazine reported that Goodman took a very long pause before saying, “I was surprised. I’ll put it this way, I was surprised at the response.”

After another pause, he added, “And that’s probably all I should say about it.” And finally, after one more lengthy silence: “I know—I know—for a fact that she’s not a racist.” Goodman did not say what he thought of the tweet itself—or what Barr might have meant by it, if its sentiment was not Islamophobic or racist.

Roseanne will likely be dead in "The Conners" spinoff, according to John Goodman | Salon.com

Although Roseanne was quickly canceled, Goodman and the rest of the cast, minus Barr, will be back on a new ABC spin-off, The Conners, this fall.

As Goodman noted, Barr agreed to relinquish her rights to the new show, as well as any share in its profits. “I sent her an e-mail and thanked her for that,” he said. “I did not hear anything back, but she was going through hell at the time. And she’s still going through hell.”

John Goodman Hints at Roseanne's Fate in 'The Conners' Spin-Off | Billboard

But make no mistake: Goodman is glad to be back on The Conners. The actor said he immediately told the network “I’m your boy” when asked to return. That’s a far cry from how he felt about the show’s original 1997 finale, to which Goodman said his response was “good riddance.”

“The material had run its course after about six years, but we stayed on for nine,” Goodman said. “But then I missed it. And it was such a gas last year. We were all a team, even more than before.” That said, Goodman knows he and the cast face a monumental task: proving that this show is worth all the controversy it’ll inevitably stir, and that it can retain the original show’s fan base even without its title matriarch. As for what his character might actually be doing when we meet Dan again on The Conners? “I guess he’ll be mopey and sad because his wife’s dead.”

Acording to a plot synopsis on IMDB, the film follows “the most powerful man in the world” after he “causes a disaster and embarks on a mission to prove that he is the savior of humanity.”

Goodman — whose house in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood of Los Angeles burned down earlier this year — also has other projects in preproduction currently, including Chili Finger and Smurfs.

Happy’s Place Season 2: Confirmation & Everything We Know

A composite image of Bobbie looking shocked in front of the cast posing in the bar in Happy's Place

Country music superstar Rebe McEntire has returned to the small screen in NBC’s sitcom, Happy’s Place, and now the workplace comedy has scored a season 2 renewal. Created by Julie and Kevin Abbott, Happy’s Place concerns Bobbie (McEntire), yubi a woman who inherits her father’s bar after his death, and must co-manage the business with her much younger half-sister, Isabella (Belissa Escobedo). Putting the singer/songwriter’s powerful personality at the forefront, Happy’s Place aims to recreate the success of the six-season sitcom classic, Reba, including casting McEntire’s beloved former co-star Melissa Peterman.

Early reviews for Happy’s Place season 1 have been generally positive, and it’s clear that McEntire hasn’t lost a step when it comes to leading a TV show. Happy’s Place has deftly established a show universe which could stretch on for years, and NBC is hoping that the series can be another hit in the easy-to-produce genre. Sitcoms like Night Court have proven to be smashes for the network, and with a star like McEntire behind it, Happy’s Place could even top the sainted 2000’s staple, Reba. With all that said, NBC has ordered Happy’s Place season 2.

Happy’s Place Season 2 Latest News

A Season 2 Production Timeline Is Revealed

Reba smiles toward the camera while surrounded by hearts in Happy's Place

sitcoms have lightning-quick production timelines and shouldn’t struggle to arrive before the end of 2025.

On the eve of season 1’s finale, the latest news arrived in the form of a production timeline for Happy’s Place season 2. The sitcom was renewed preemptively in February 2025, and now all eyes have turned to the upcoming season that will presumably arrive for the 2025-2026 fall slate. Series co-creator Kevin Abbott painted a clear picture for the upcoming year, saying We’ll probably start pre-production mid-April because of Reba’s schedule, before revealing June as the likeliest time for shooting to begin. Fortunately, sitcoms have lightning-quick production timelines and shouldn’t struggle to arrive before the end of 2025.

    Read Abbott’s full comments here:

So season 2, we’re actually starting up early. We’ll probably start pre-production mid-April because of Reba’s schedule on The Voice. We have to work around that. So we will start shooting again beginning of June. We do have leftover ideas from what would’ve been season 1 that we didn’t get to. So we definitely have those, and I’ll start up with the writers next week.

We’ve got a couple of new writers coming on, so I want to be open to any ideas that they might have to take these characters places. And I’d like to take a week or two off just to let my brain rest from living with these people. They’re noisy. But I have a lot more energy for season 2 already than I would normally have at the end of a season. And really, this cast has been marvelous. It’s been a fun season doing this show with these guys.

    Happy’s Place season 1 debuted on October 18, 2024.

Riding high on excellent ratings, decent reviews, and the undeniable star power of Reba McEntire, Happy’s Place was renewed for a second season in late February 2025. The news came while there were still a handful of season 1 episodes that hadn’t aired yet, speaking to the confidence that the network has in the sitcom. While there’s little known about season 2 quite yet, it’s expected that the sophomore season will be part of NBC’s fall 2025 slate. Co-creator Kevin Abbott has speculated that June is the earliest the show could start filming again.

Happy’s Place Season 2 Cast Details

Will Bobbie, Isabella, and Gabby Return?

As with most sitcoms, the cast of Happy’s Place is really the most important part of the series, and it usurps even the plot in terms of audience engagement. From the show’s inception, it was clear that the sitcom was built around the dynamic personality of country music superstar Reba McEntire, and her return as the whip-smart and headstrong co-owner of Happy’s, Bobby, is an absolute necessity. Likewise, the return of Melissa Peterman’s chatty bartender, Gabby, is also assured, since the network is banking on audience familiarity from the days of Reba.

Young Belissa Escobedo will need to return as the other half of the bar ownership duo, Isabella, and her burgeoning relationship with her half-sister is an important emotional thread. The series will no doubt employ a wide range of guest stars, but predicting who could appear is quite difficult. It’s also likely that those guest stars could burgeon into returning characters, but it’s hard to predict things like that until more information is available.

The presumptive cast of Happy’s Place season 2 includes:

Though Happy’s Place is a quintessential sitcom, the season 1 finale did an excellent job of setting the stage for season 2. While it’s expected that the regular trials and tribulations of running a successful business will continue, the show has clearly pivoted to be about relationships above all else. Bobbie and Isabella have finally grown to love one another, and a romance is budding between Bobbie and Emmett. However, romances in sitcoms are almost always rocky, and the lovebirds will certainly face their fair share of troubles.

‘Wheel Of Fortune’ Will Not Air For Several Days This Month, Details

    Wheel Of Fortune: Ryan Seacrest

Wheel Of Fortune fans are very passionate about their favorite game show, and catching it as part of their nightly routine. However, the fan-favorite program will not air for several days this month. So, what is the reason behind this, and what else do we know about it?

Wheel Of Fortune Fans Are Very Attached To Popular Game Show

When it comes to popular game shows like Wheel Of Fortune, longtime fans are very attached to it, and, as a result, many are also protective of it. This is a big part of the reason why Ryan Seacrest received such a cold reception from the fanbase when it was first announced that he was taking over the hosting duties from iconic host, Pat Sajak.

However, one of the big reasons why Wheel Of Fortune fans are so attached to their favorite game show is because it is a tradition to watch the program in many households. Many people watch it with their families while eating dinner, and it is an integral part of family bonding time. So, whenever there are interruptions to the schedule, viewers have plenty to say about it.

Game Show Not Airing For Several Days In March

Because so many Wheel Of Fortune fans are so attached to the routine of watching their favorite game show, there is often an uproar whenever there are interruptions to the regularly scheduled programming. It turns out, the program will not air for four days in the month of March.

This is due to networks like CBS airing March Madness coverage instead. Due to this, there will be no airings of Wheel Of Fortune on Thursday and Friday this week and the following week. Those dates are March 20, March 21, March 27, and March 28.

Wheel Of Fortune Fans Not Happy With Schedule Change

Even though big events such as March Madness regularly take priority, many Wheel Of Fortune fans are upset that they won’t get to see their favorite show on these days, and many had a lot to say about it.
Vanna White on Wheel of Fortune | YouTubeVanna White on Wheel of Fortune | YouTube

One recent commenter said: “Due to March Madness, CBS stations will not be able to air WOF at its normal time for four days this month starting today. A small number of stations aired today’s episode early (such as WRDW in Augusta, Georgia) and will do so again at least tomorrow. Let’s Make a Deal doesn’t air on Thursday and Friday of the first week, so some stations move up syndicated shows to that time slot.”
A second commenter chimed in, adding: “NOOOOOOOOOOOO.”
A third person added: “Ugh. I hate when this happens. I get that other events etc take priority, but when watching the show is a routine, it always makes it worse when that routine is interrupted, especially when it’s interrupted for something you have no interest in.”

Wheel of Fortune has allegedly been caught regurgitating puzzles from the game show’s past. Viewers and fans of the long-running show have caught onto this, so what do they have to say? Keep reading for reactions and what puzzles have been repeated.

Wheel Of Fortune Caught Regurgitating Old Puzzles

It has been forty-two seasons, so it would only make sense that Wheel of Fortune might run out of puzzles. They have a fresh set and a brand-new host to make the show feel shiny. Pat Sajak announced his departure in June 2023 and stated he would stick around for one more season. It was unclear what would happen to his sidekick Vanna White, who had been with him and the show for forty years. She was able to negotiate a far better contract and will be turning letters through 2026. American Idol host, Ryan Seacrest took over the reigns from Pat and has been a hit since his arrival.
    Ryan Seacrest-YouTubeRyan Seacrest-YouTube
Unfortunately, the set has not gone over well with viewers. They felt it was dizzying and did not appreciate the changes. Additionally, fans have noticed that WoF has started to reuse old puzzles, and that has bothered them immensely. It does not make sense why they need to do something like this and cannot come up with new content. Jeopardy! had the Second Chance Tournament, and it was known that old questions would resurface. However, yubi this not the case with Wheel and it was pointed out that the same puzzle from April 2009 was used again in March 2025.
    Wheel of Fortune-YouTubeWheel of Fortune-YouTube
It was a phrase, and it was clear this was not the first time the puzzle had been used on Wheel of Fortune. Furthermore, it was noted that the contestant chose the same letters to help them solve it. Yet, it was not solved in the first round, so that may have been why they reused it. After seeing this, fans wondered how someone on social media was so savvy to recall an old puzzle. That was the big question but apparently, there are ways.

    Solving The Mystery

After Wheel of Fortune fans saw that this puzzle had already been used in 2009, they wanted answers. They wanted to know how anyone could know what puzzles had been used and solved so many years ago. There is an app that can help you go back in time and make it very easy:

There’s a Discord bot that lets you search past puzzles. I typed it in, then I googled “Wheel of Fortune (date)” and found the episode online. Plus I had vague memories of this puzzle being used before (though I thought it was more recent than 2009).

After seeing that WoF was regurgitating things from the past, were viewers upset, confused, or did they not care?

ok regurgitating puzzles lol …. did the 2nd person win?
I thought they didn’t repeat puzzles???
I remember seeing this episode!!! I was in 3rd grade!!!

Some had no idea what the answer was, while others knew it right away. Regardless, they assumed puzzles were not reused; thus, there was a lot of confusion. Hopefully, Wheel of Fortune will realize how smart the fans are and not do this again.

Did you notice this was an old puzzle or had you no idea? More so, did it look slightly familiar? Let us know in the comments below.

‘Wheel Of Fortune’ Fans Shocked At Player’s Epic Disney Fail

Ryan Seacrest on Wheel Of Fortune | YouTube

This week on Wheel of Fortune, there was a very embarrassing moment when a woman got a chance to answer a puzzle with only one letter remaining. It was a famous line from a Disney song. However, while it was a well-known and easy answer, the woman couldn’t figure it out. Sadly, she realized her mistake once she said the wrong answer and cringed.

Here is what happened on the popular game show and why the woman felt so bad after the mistake.

Wheel Of Fortune Contestant Misses Easy Disney Answer

A woman named Nikol was on Wheel of Fortune this week, and she had an easy puzzle win sitting in front of her. There was only one letter remaining to the answer, which were popular Disney lyrics. However, yubi Nikol stared at the board and then gave a bizarre answer to the puzzle. It was only after she said it that she realized what the answer was.
Wheel of Fortune | YouTubeRyan Seacrest on Wheel of Fortune | YouTube
The board read: “See The Line Where The S-y Meets The Sea It Calls Me.” Of course, this is from the Alessia Cara song “How Far I” from the movie Moana. And, as most people know the missing letter was a “K” with the term being “where the sky meets the sea.”

However, Nikol had no idea what it was at first. It seemed she was going through the vowels in her head since there was no vowel in that word (other than the rare Y). She then said something that had many fans at home shaking their heads. Nikol guessed, “See the line where the soy meets the sea it calls me.”

Ryan Seacrest told her that was incorrect. Almost instantly, Nikol’s eyes got wide, and she realized the answer, to which Ryan cringed along with her.

Wheel Of Fortune Social Media Feels Bad For Nikol

The Wheel of Fortune social media site wrote, “That scream you hear is Nikol’s soul leaving her body.” It was clearly a moment where the pressure got to the player.

Here is a sample of what the fans had to say when the Wheel of Fortune contestant struggled to come up with the easy answer on the show:

One fan can’t help but replace the words when singing the song now, writing, “I can’t stop singing the line now but replacing SKY with SOY please send help!”
Another fan understood how someone could freeze up when on national television, writing: “She was adorable, but I think nerves got to her for this puzzle; and even during the round where they are running out of time, she kept on wanting to call another letter or a vowel.”
Another fan said that they would probably have done the same thing, saying, “Well it was cute. I’d probably forget my own name on WOF.”

What are your thoughts on this stumble from the contestant on Wheel of Fortune? Do you think it would be easier to mess up an easy answer with the bright lights and television cameras on you in the moment? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section below.

Hackman Capital Partners, which bought Television City for $750 million from CBS Corp. in 2019, is planning a $1.25 billion renovation of the landmark complex. In addition to The Price Is Right, it had been housing CBS’ The Late Late Show with James Corden, which ended its run this spring, as well as The Young and the RestlessDancing with the Stars, American Idol and Real Time with Bill Maher, which are solidifying moving arrangements.

Hackman’s plan for Television City would raise the number of stages to at least 15, from eight, along with production support facilities and offices for rent. The four original stages built by CBS at the campus’ launch in 1952 would be preserved, along with other historical design elements created by Los Angeles architect William Pereira. At the time of the 2019 sale, CBS remained a tenant, keeping its Television City-based productions in place.

The Price Is Right, created by Bob Stewart, Mark Goodson and Bill Todman, premiered on September 4, 1972. Bob Barker hosted the program from its inception until his retirement in 2007, when Carey took over.

The stage, which was previously home to The Carol Burnett Show, The Jack Benny Program, and The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour, among others, was dedicated to Barker in 1998.

On Monday, March 24, Yanira, from Hawaii, bet on a pair of 128 GB smartphones. She bid $1,000, and they were retailed at $1,398, so she won the bid and got to come to the stage to play a game with host Drew Carey.

Yanira got to play Switcharoo, which is a game played for a car and four other small prizes. The name comes from the fact that the contestant can switch the numbers around on their second turn if they get it wrong the first time. The prices are all missing one number, yubi and the contestant has to match up the numbers to make the correct prices for all of the prizes.

The game show contestant had to find the prices for a refillable and reuseable fire extinguisher, a heavy-duty water-resistant lock box, a dry erase board easel and marker, and a three-tiered water fountain, along with the car.

Yanira had 30 seconds to put all of the prices in the correct spots. She put all of the numbers in on time but stressed about it and asked her friends in the audience for help. As Carey tried to talk to her, she touched the block that was in the fire extinguisher, and it fell out. “I broke it,” she said.

“No, you didn’t. Oh yeah, you did,” Carey said, putting it back in its place. As he touched the lip where the number lay, it fell out and onto the floor.

“You broke it more!” Yanira said to the host as she picked up the number block. Carey chuckled, along with the audience, and then set it on top of the other number below it.

“We’ll pretend that’s where it goes,” he said.

Once the disaster passed, TPIR revealed that she had two numbers correct. Yanira had the chance to go again and try to rearrange the numbers in another 30 seconds. After rearranging the numbers, Yanir had zero correct. The price for the car was $21,719, and she had $21,779. She didn’t win any of the prizes.

Yanira spun a 60 during the Showcase Showdown, but it wasn’t enough to advance to the Showcase Round.

“These games are hard,” said one YouTube user.

    “Ouch,” wrote many others.
