‘Ghosts’ Gets Massive Update as CBS Decides Fate of Hit Sitcom
Image via CBS
Ghosts has officially been renewed for two seasons at CBS ahead of tonight’s new episode. Variety first broke the news along with renewals for nine other shows on the network including the entire Thursday night lineup, featuringGeorgie & Mandy’s First Marriage, Ghosts, Matlock, and Elsbeth. Ghosts is, however, the only series among the bunch to secure not one but two future seasons, taking the show through Season 6, already set for the 2026-2027 season.
One of the network’s most-viewed shows, Ghosts averages 11 million viewers across platforms when accounting for 35 days of viewing, according to a combination of Nielsen measurement and Paramount Global’s first-party data regarding streams on Paramount+.
Casting announcements weren’t made alongside the renewal, but as long as no one gets sucked off by the end of Season 4, we can likely expect the return of the entire main ensemble featuring Rose McIver, Utkarsh Ambudkar, Rebecca Wisocky, Asher Grodman, Danielle Pinnock, Brandon Scott Jones, Shiela Carrasco, Román Zaragoza, Devan Chandler Long, and Richie Moriarty.
Ghosts has been on a roll this season with no plans to slow down as next week’s episode promises the reveal of Isaac’s (Jones) centuries-old beef with Alexander Hamilton (Nat Faxon) and the return of Hetty’s (Wisocky) evil ex-husband Elias (Matt Walsh).
Before that though we’ll see series lead McIver make her directorial debut this week with “Ghostfellas,” which sees Jay get in hot water with a local restaurateur after adding one of Pete’s (Moriarty) family recipes to the menu. We’ll also see Hetty and Trevor (Grodman) planning their first “power friends” scheme, though their housemates aren’t sure there isn’t something more going on between the diabolical duo.
What Else To Expect From ‘Ghosts’ Season 4

While many details are still under wraps for the remainder of the season we do know that we’ll be seeing Hetty’s ghost power at some point, as well as the return of everyone’s favorite attic ghost Stephanie (Odessa A’Zion). McIver recently spoke with Collider ahead of her directorial debut and was able to tease the return of some of our favorite recurring specters.
“Matt Walsh never brings an easy— I mean. Matt Walsh brings the easiest [energy], right? He’s so wonderful to work with. But, Elias does not bode well for the house in general, as we’ve come to realize. So him returning is not— he’s not the ideal guest at the B&B. And, then yeah, we have Odessa back, who brings such a fresh teenage energy. She’s so funny. We love having her. And we actually have her sister Gideon not playing a related role, but playing a completely separate role in another episode. So, that’s pretty cool.”
Ghosts has been renewed through Season 6. New episodes of Season 4 air on Thursdays on CBS at 8:30 PM ET. Stay tuned at Collider for more updates.
Keith Urban To Headline CBS Music Competition Series ‘The Road’
Keith UrbanTim Ashton / CBS
Blake Shelton and Taylor Sheridan’s CBS music competition series The Road has found its headliner.
Keith Urban will lead the series, which was revealed by Deadline in November, a search to discover the next big musician.
It comes after Urban released his last studio album, High, in September, ahead of his High and Alive World Tour kicks off in May.
The Road trails a headlining superstar on their journey to discover the next big artist with singers joining the headliner to perform as opening acts in venues across the country. They will compete to win over local fanbases to secure a spot in the next city and remain on the tour.
That headliner is Urban and he will perform across Texas, Oklahoma and Tennessee in March and April (dates below). At each location, emerging musicians will support him.
Urban is no stranger to reality television, having previously been a judge on American Idol and a coach on the Australian version of The Voice.
The Road premieres in the fall.
The series is produced by MTV Entertainment Studios, David Glasser’s 101 Studios and Lucky Horseshoe Productions, the production company founded by Shelton and Lee Metzger, who was an exec producer on The Voice. Exec producers include Sheridan, Glasser, Shelton and Metzger.
“I spent a lot of my underage life playing in some seedy pubs, sometimes just for the bartender. So I love the idea of throwing artists into a real-world environment to find out if they are artists,” said Urban. “Paying your dues sucks, but there are things in this business that can’t be taught, like how to put together a set list, whether to extend or cut a song during your performance or how to work the crowd. For me, touring has always been my first love. It’s where the rubber meets the road. But it’s the only road to take if you want to be a performer.”

Michael Strahan’s plans for future revealed after ‘quitting GMA’ following Fox NFL Sunday uncertainty
Strahan is reportedly interested in spending more time with his family
BOMBSHELL reports have dropped indicating that Michael Strahan is set to leave Good Morning America this summer.
Strahan’s contract is set to expire this year, and he doesn’t plan on resigning with the ABC show.

Strahan was a legendary player for the New York Giants, and has gone on to create just as big a legacy on television.
He is one of the key members of Fox NFL Sunday, and has served as a host of Good Morning America since 2016.
Strahan only airs Fox NFL Sunday once a week during the NFL season, but GMA takes up much more of that time.
It is because of that NewsNation is reporting that Strahan won’t return to GMA once his contract expires.
“It’s a lot,” a source said. “He wants to spend more time with his family.”
A different source said, “He will be out by this summer — he’s had enough.”
Strahan has taken time off from GMA in the past, specifically in 2023 when his daughter Isabella was dealing with a brain tumor.
Family is of the utmost importance to him, and he could look to spend a majority of his time with them if he leaves GMA.
Strahan also said that he wants to enjoy his retirement on the golf course when he decides to leave television, but also said he won’t make an abrupt exit.
“I won’t go cold turkey on everything,” he told Forbes last year.
Andy Reid makes final Kansas City Chiefs retirement decision after revealing parents’ advice
Michael Strahan told ‘don’t do it, don’t say it’ after Fox NFL Sunday star makes ‘surprise’ remarks live on GMA
“But I see myself slowly dropping different things until eventually, you’ll just find me on the golf course.
“Time is the one thing that once it’s gone, yubi, you can never get it back.
“I’m very conscious of that, being a dad. That’s what has led me to think more about the end of my career.”
While the recently released reports indicate that Strahan is done at GMA, a source tells The U.S. Sun, “Several higher ups at ABC say this isn’t true.”
“There’s no truth that I’m aware of that about this at this current juncture. That piece is strictly speculative rumor mill stuff,” another source added.
Michael Strahan’s NFL career
Michael Strahan is one of the most recognizable faces on television.
But he came into his media career with Fox off the back of a hugely successful stint in the NFL.
Strahan spent 14 years all with the New York Giants from 1993 to 2007.
He was a seven-time Pro Bowler and helped them win the Super Bowl in 2007 – ending the New England Patriots’ hopes of a perfect season.
Strahan was also a two-time NFL sacks leader and also won Defensive Player of the Year.
The ex-Giants star set the single-season sack record with 22.5 in 2001 – a feat which was matched by J.J. Watt exactly 20 years later.
He is one of the best defensive stars to have ever played the game – finishing with 141.5 career sacks and 854 tackles.
“If you just read it, it just sounds like someone with a very specific point of view and a very specific desire to make things suddenly complicated for GMA.”
Neither ABC nor GMA have commented about the released reports on Strahan’s future with the show.
The legendary TV host also hasn’t commented on the reports.
Strahan will likely continue his day-to-day TV duties until a new contract is agreed to or he decides to step away from the show.
For now, he is still a member of Good Morning America and Fox NFL Sunday.
Fox News Host Sean Hannity Splashes Out $23.5 Million on Gargantuan Florida Estate After ‘Leaving New York for Good’

Fox News host Sean Hannity was just revealed as the buyer of a jaw-dropping $23.5 million estate in Manalapan, FL, snapping up the extravagant waterfront megamansion just 10 months after announcing that he was relocating permanently to the Sunshine State from New York.
Hannity, 62, who hosts his own show on Fox News, as well as a national radio show, announced in January that he would be upping sticks from his longtime home in New York to move to his property in Palm Beach, FL, from where he planned to record both his TV and radio appearances.
The on-air personality purchased his 3,800-square-foot Florida property in 2021 for $5.3 million—but had only ever used it as a vacation home before opting to “leave New York for good” in order to pursue his “freedom.”
However, it appears the luxurious pad didn’t afford Hannity quite enough space to run free, and he has now added an enormous 12,378-square-foot dwelling to his real estate holdings in his new home state.
His new property is a 30-minute drive from Palm Beach proper and boasts an impressive eight bedrooms and 10.5 bathrooms, as well as 1.86 acres of waterfront land.

While the home—which was listed by Gary Pohrer and Nick Malinosky, of The Exclusive Group at Douglas Elliman—was originally built in 1990, it has undergone several renovations since it last traded hands in 2021, according to its listing.
These updates include “new flooring, all new bathrooms; new impact sliders; and a new cooler unit in wine room.”
Perhaps its most alluring quality, however, is its plum spot on the barrier island of Manalapan, which ensures close proximity to the beach, plenty of privacy, and staggering views of the water at all hours of the day.
The home was certainly designed with water fanatics in mind, offering a “resort-style” heated swimming pool, a large private dock, and a private beach house.
However, despite its many impressive amenities and recent upgrades, local real estate agents told the Wall Street Journal that some might consider the home a teardown and opt to raze it to make way for something more modern and imposing.
It is unclear whether Hannity plans to move into the home immediately after his Nov. 26 closing, or if he will aim to complete his own work on the property until it meets his living standards.
What is certain is that the Fox News host has no immediate plans to return to New York any time soon, having first revealed in January that he was “done” with the state forever.

Hannity cut ties with the state of New York once and for all in June, when he sold his picture-prefect Oyster Bay estate for $12.7 million, 16 years after he purchased the waterfront property for $8.5 million.(Daniel Petroni Photography)
“I’ve been threatening now to do this for quite a while, but we are now beginning our first broadcast from my new home and that is in the free state of Florida,” Hannity said during a January episode of his iHeartRadio show. “I am out. I am done. I’m finished.”
The outspoken conservative explained that the motivation for his move down south came from his dislike of the political policies implemented by representatives in New York, explaining that he felt much more aligned with those adopted by leaders in Florida.
“Finally, for the first time that I can think of in my adult life, I actually have representatives in the state that I’m living in that share my values,” he went on. “Like so many Americans, I left New York for good and am now in the state with, let’s see: warmer weather, law and order, better education, more freedom, better quality of life – and guess what? No state income tax.”

The TV host listed the residence in early May for $13.75 million. The palatial property, which was sold fully furnished, quickly sparked a bidding war and was under contract within seven days.

The house was certainly designed with water fanatics in mind, offering a “resort-style” heated swimming pool, a large private dock, and a private beach house.
At the time, the listing agents, Shawn Elliott and his son, Zachary Elliott, of Nest Seeker’s International, told Realtor.com® that it was a “new record for the fasted home sale over $10 million in the area,” with Shawn adding that the person who purchased the home was a longtime fan of Hannity.
The identity of the seller of the anchor’s new property has not been revealed and records reveal that the deal was carried out via an LLC, likely to preserve the anonymity of its former owner.
In the years since the home was completed in 1990, it has changed hands only a few times, starting in 2005, when it sold for $8.75 million. It was then put back on the market in 2009, ultimately selling for $8.98 million later that year.
That owner retained the property for more than a decade before selling it on in 2018 for $18 million.
Hannity ultimately scored a fairly sizable discount on the enormous estate, which was first listed for sale in February 2024 for $29 million, before that price was lowered to $25.95 million in October.
It’s unclear whether Hannity plans to live in the home by himself, or if his two children, who he shares with ex-wife Jill Rhodes, will spend at least a portion of their time in the Florida mansion.
At 79, Dolly has confirmed that the rumors are true. I don’t care who you are or what you think of Dolly Parton, this is a courageous step for her to take, and we wish her the best
Dolly Parton has been there and done pretty much all there is to do in the music industry.
And yet… and yet the country music icon is still finding ways to challenge herself and broaden her scope of magnificence.
As per reports, fans the world over are reacting with joy over reports that Dolly is finally set to release her first-ever rock album! You may remember that the 79-year-old was inducted into the Hollywood Rock and Roll Hall of Fame last year, one year on from having turned down the nomination as she felt she hadn’t “earned the right”.
Though Dolly eventually accepted her entry, it would appear she’s eager to ensure no one can say she doesn’t belong. Dolly previously promised to release a rock album to commemorate her induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and we now have a release date!
If sources are to be believed, Parton was initially reluctant to be in the conversation for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The Jolene singer was said to be of the opinion that since her career consists mostly of country music, others were perhaps more suited.
In the end, however, the people spoke, and voters decided that Dolly did belong there. In November 2022 she was inducted into the Hall of Fame, and immediately set about trying to ensure that her selection was justified.
Her new rock album is now one step closer to becoming a reality, with Dolly herself having confirmed it will be titled ‘Rockstar’ and is due to drop November 17.
As per reports, there are 30 tracks in total on the album, nine of which are original. The remaining 21 consist of collaborations with other artists and feature new versions of tracks made famous by said featuring artist. A new take on Every Breath You Take by Sting will be on the album, for example, yubi, as will Wrecking Ball by Dolly’s goddaughter, Miley Cyrus.
Other distinguished guests set to appear on the album include Elton John, Sir Paul McCartney, Stevie Nicks, and Steven Tyler.
Reflecting on her induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Dolly told The View earlier this year:
“I just didn’t feel like I had earned it but they explained to me why I was in it and all that so I said, ‘Well, if you insist on giving it to me, I’ll take it’.”
“But if I’m gonna be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, I’m gonna have to do something to earn it.”
The full list of songs on the album is reportedly as follows:
‘Rockstar’ (special guest Richie Sambora)
‘World on Fire’
‘Every Breath You Take’ (feat. Sting)
‘Open Arms’ (feat. Steve Perry)
‘Magic Man’ (feat. Ann Wilson with special guest Howard Leese)
‘Long As I Can See the Light’ (feat. John Fogerty)
‘Either Or’ (feat. Kid Rock)
‘I Want You Back’ (feat. Steven Tyler with special guest Warren Haynes)
‘What Has Rock and Roll Ever Done for You’ (feat. Stevie Nicks with special guest Waddy Wachtel)
‘Purple Rain’
‘Baby, I Love Your Way’ (feat. Peter Frampton)
‘I Hate Myself for Loving You’ (feat. Joan Jett & The Blackhearts)
‘Night Moves’ (feat. Chris Stapleton)
‘Wrecking Ball’ (feat. Miley Cyrus)
‘(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction’ (feat. P!nk & Brandi Carlile)
‘Keep on Loving You’ (feat. Kevin Cronin)
‘Heart of Glass’ (feat. Debbie Harry)
‘Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me’ (feat. Elton John)
‘Tried to Rock and Roll Me’ (feat. Melissa Etheridge)
‘Stairway to Heaven’ (feat. Lizzo & Sasha Flute)
‘We Are the Champions’
‘Bygones’ (feat. Rob Halford with special guests Nikki Sixx & John 5)
‘My Blue Tears’ (feat. Simon Le Bon)
‘What’s Up?’ (feat. Linda Perry)
‘You’re No Good’ (feat. Emmylou Harris & Sheryl Crow)
‘Heartbreaker’ (feat. Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo)
‘Bittersweet’ (feat. Michael McDonald)
‘I Dreamed About Elvis’ (feat. Ronnie McDowell with special guest The Jordanaires)
‘Let It Be’ (feat. Paul McCartney & Ringo Starr with special guests Peter Frampton & Mick Fleetwood)
‘Free Bird’ (feat. Ronnie Van Zant with special guests Gary Rossington, Artimus Pyle and The Artimus Pyle Band)
As per Billboard, Dolly said in a statement: “I am very honoured and privileged to have worked with some of the greatest iconic singers and musicians of all time, and to be able to sing all the iconic songs throughout the album was a joy beyond measure.
“I hope everybody enjoys the album as much as I’ve enjoyed putting it together!”
I’m so happy to see Dolly still making music and still enjoying her work even at 79!

The FINAL PHOTOS of Carl Dean, husband of Dolly Parton before his death at the age of 82 is announced broke the hearts of fans
Dolly Parton’s Husband Carl Dean Last Seen in Rare Tennessee Outing 5 Years Before His Death: See the Photos

Dolly Parton’s husband, Carl Dean, was last seen in public in December 2019 in Brentwood, Tennessee, a little more than five years before his death.
Parton announced via Instagram that her husband of nearly 59 years died on Monday, March 3. He was 82.
“Carl Dean, husband of Dolly Parton, passed away March 3rd in Nashville at the age of 82. He will be laid to rest in a private ceremony with immediate family attending. He is survived by his siblings Sandra and Donnie,” the post read.
“Carl and I spent many wonderful years together. Words can’t do justice to the love we shared for over 60 years. Thank you for your prayers and sympathy,” Parton’s post continued. “The family asks for privacy during this difficult time.”
Dean was last seen in December 2019 when he stepped out near the family’s estate on Brentwood, Tennessee. The image of the then-77-year-old Dean, yubi, who was visiting the post office with an assistant, was the first time he had been photographed in public in four decades.

Notably, when Parton began to rise to fame in the late 1960s, Dean stayed far in the background. He then remained out of the public eye for decades and wasn’t photographed with his superstar wife. She did occasionally share throwback photos of her husband on social media.
“He’s sort of shy and quiet,” she told PEOPLE in a 1977 cover story. She was happy to keep their relationship separate from her work life. “What we have together is so sweet and good that I’d never want it to get jumbled up with the other.”
Throughout their marriage, he stayed primarily at their large home outside of Nashville. “He likes his freedom,” Parton told PEOPLE in 1982. “If I call him, that’s fine, he ain’t expectin’ it. He doesn’t like me home for long because it interferes with his tradin’. So we never really have any hold on each other. And yet we have the ultimate hold.”

“He’s always supporting me as long as I don’t try to drag him in on it,” she told PEOPLE in 2019. “He’s always been my biggest fan behind the scenes, but he’s at home. I don’t think they’re probably showing much of this on TV and if they do, he might see it.”
In a conversation with PEOPLE in 2021, the singer reflected on over five decades together. “My husband and I, we’ve been together 56 years. We’ve just been married 54 years this past May. But we still have our little times, like in the springtime when the first yellow daffodils come out. Even if there’s still some snow around it, my husband always brings me a bouquet. And he’ll usually write me a little poem. Which to me, that’s priceless.”

Dolly Parton shared a rare look into her decades-long romance with husband Carl Dean just months before his death at age 82.
Parton announced that Dean died in Nashville on Monday, March 3. “Carl and I spent many wonderful years together,” said Parton, 79, in an Instagram statement. “Words can’t do justice the love we shared for over 60 years. Thank you for your prayers and sympathy.”
Though Parton was very much in the spotlight, Dean shied away from public attention and the pair kept their relationship private.
Late last year, though, Parton opened up in an episode of Bunnie Xo’s podcast Dumb Blonde about their nearly 60-year marriage, yubi, highlighting the pair’s “love” and “respect” for one another.
“He’s quiet and I’m loud, and we’re funny,” Parton said in the December 2024 episode. “Oh, he’s hilarious. And I think one of the things that’s made it last so long through the years is that we love each other [and] we respect each other, but we have a lot of fun.”
Parton and Dean met in Nashville in 1964, and were married in Ringgold, Ga., in 1966.

In the time since, humor became a huge part of making their marriage last, Parton said last year.
“Anytime [there’s] too much tension going on, either one of us can like, find a joke about it to really break the tension, where we don’t let it go so far,” Parton said during the podcast. “We never fought back and forth. And I’m glad now that we never did, because once you start that, that becomes a lifetime thing. I’ve seen it with so many people, and I thought, ‘I ain’t ever starting that.’ “
She continued, “I couldn’t bear to think that he’d say something I couldn’t take . . . because I’m a very sensitive person toward other people and myself.”
Parton also mentioned Dean in a PEOPLE interview that same month, saying her “last perfect day” was one spent with him. “On my last perfect day, well, I had a day off and I got to spend that whole day with my husband [Carl Thomas Dean]. I’ve worked so much that we don’t often have all the long, full days that we used to have when life was not as complicated,” Parton told PEOPLE. “Anytime I have some time off, that’s always a good day for me and for him, for us to have time off.”
Dean will be laid to rest in a private ceremony, Parton said on Instagram, with only “immediate family attending.” She also noted that he is survived by his siblings Sandra and Donnie
Michael Buble delivers difficult career news as fans react
The singer expressed his sadness
Michael Buble took to social media with a message on Wednesday, which upset both him and his fans.
The singer revealed that he would no longer be bringing his Higher tour to Australia in December, much to the disappointment of his supporters in Oz.
“This is a message to my friends, fans and family in Australia,” he wrote. “Despite our best efforts, my team and I have come to realize that global logistical issues have made it impossible for us to deliver the show that I feel Australians deserve.
“Although it’s incredibly disappointing for all of us, I wanted to be transparent with you and hope you can understand what a difficult decision this was to make. I appreciate your patience and look forward to seeing you this coming June. Love, Michael.”
Many fans said they were very sorry to hear the news but supported his decision but there were also some who were angry over the decision to move the show from December to June.
Michael had to break the news to fans that his Australia tour date was postponed
“It’s been a very long wait. I feel for the people who have paid for flights and accommodation,” wrote one, while another added: “Oh nooo.. 🙁 we’ve already booked a flight ticket and concert ticket too,” while others said they wanted an explanation as to what the “issues” are.
The Canadian singer has a hectic tour schedule and will be away from the home he shares with his wife and their four children.
The “Nerve-Wracking” Step Adam Levine Took Before Proposing to Wife Behati Prinsloo
The Voice Coach had to ask someone else first!
Like many people, Adam Levine knew that if he wanted his partner’s hand in marriage, he had to go through their father first.
The Maroon 5 frontman — and current Coach on The Voice — has been happily married for more than a decade to Behati Prinsloo, but there was a “nerve-wracking” moment that he had to endure before the wedding could even take place. During a 2014 appearance on On Air with Ryan Seacrest (as reported by E! News, Levine revealed that he had to ask Prinsloo’s father for permission to marry her.)
“I don’t want to talk about it – you know how I am — but yes, of course I did,” Levine told Seacrest about asking Prinsloo’s dad for his blessing. “I had to. And it was extremely nerve-wracking.”
For someone as cool, calm, and collected as the rocker, it’s endearing for fans to discover that even Levine gets intimidated occasionally!
Spoiler alert: Prinsloo’s father approved. On July 19, 2014, the two were married in a gorgeous destination ceremony in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. The couple went on to have three even more gorgeous children together — Dusty, Gio, and a son — and the rest is history.

These days, Levine juggles being an amazing father and touring the world (sometimes adorably combining those two things), all while attempting to steer Team Adam to success in Season 27 of The Voice!
He’s a busy man to say the least, and the 45-year-old rocker wouldn’t be where he is today if he didn’t ask his future wife’s father the most important question of his life.
Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo went into business together in 2021
Levine and Prinsloo, like many great couples, are so in sync that they even went into business together! The couple are co-founders of the spirits company Calirosa Tequila, which began in 2021 and is based in Los Angeles, California.
In a November 2021 interview with ET, Prinslo discussed their decision to start a spirits brand.
“It’s honestly been really fun for us,” Prinsloo explained. “I think we’ve always wanted to do something together, and this is such a perfect thing where we have this kind of creative outlet and creative control over things, and also learning so much about a new business that we didn’t know about. There’s kinks that we have to figure out and things that we don’t know, and we are just trying to stay really true to who we are and what we want the brand to be.”
Adam Levine Shared The Worst Part Of His Return To The Voice, And Of Course It Included A Blake Shelton Insult
Fans have certainly had a lot of thoughts about Adam Levine’s return to The Voice, as Season 27 nears the end of its Blind Auditions on the 2025 TV schedule. The “She Will Be Loved” singer has great chemistry with fellow coaches John Legend, Kelsea Ballerini and Michael Bublé (they even have a group chat, guys). However, there’s just one thing Levine’s not happy about, he said, and of course it involves his old rival Blake Shelton.
As fun as it is to see Adam Levine bonding with the other coaches on The Voice, there’s a part of me that misses the snippy insults launched back and forth between him and Blake Shelton over the competition’s first 16 seasons. But just because the cowboy is retired from the show doesn’t mean he’s not catching strays. Levine proved that old habits die hard when talking to Kelsea Ballerini during the February 24 episode. The new coach revealed that she’d been warned about Levine, yubi, telling him:
Blake really made me nervous. He was like, ‘Adam’s tough. Sometimes he’s mean. He’s competitive. He’s ruthless.’ He was wrong. You’re lovely. You’re really nice.
First of all, it’s absolutely hilarious to think that Blake Shelton would tell Kelsea Ballerini that in any serious context, and Adam Levine apparently felt the same way. He thanked her for the compliment but suggested there was no way Shelton really meant that. He said:
Thank you. I feel like Blake was, like, hazing you. Something like that. He’s mean. He’s not a nice guy. He’s not a nice person. If he’s being nice to you, that means he’s lying.
Adam Levine kind of went from suggesting Blake Shelton wouldn’t actually say something negative about him to joking that the country music star was a bad person. The Maroon 5 frontman had similar sentiments ahead of filming. When news broke of Levine’s impending return, he trolled the cowboy by saying the best part of coming back for Season 27 was that he wouldn’t have to deal with Shelton.
So if that’s the best part, what’s the worst part? Adam Levine told Kelsea Ballerini:
The one bad part about shooting this season of The Voice is that I have to sit in this filthy chair.
Ah yes, Adam Levine has taken over Blake Shelton’s old chair — which has become the most revered spot on the panel, previously held only by the “Boys ‘Round Here” singer and Reba McEntire. Levine made another contradictory comment about Shelton on the season premiere, admitting to John Legend that when he walked on stage, he’d initially started heading to his old spot, which he vacated after Season 16. As he took his place in his new chair, he mused:
I miss Blake. I’m in his mangy, musty chair.
It seems pretty obvious that that’s just how the two singers show their love for one another. Blake Shelton also continued to fire shots at Adam Levine long after the rocker left the show, but it was nothing but love when Levine returned for Shelton’s final episode.
The days of Adam Levine and Blake Shelton being on set together are likely gone for good, but it looks like the insults back and forth aren’t going anywhere. Tune in to see Levine bring his legacy of winning back to The Voice, with new episodes airing at 8 p.m. ET Mondays on NBC and streaming the next day with a Peacock subscription.
