Come on down, John Quinn! You are the next showrunner on The Price Is Right. That’s right. The beloved game show will have a new boss heading into Season 54.

John Quinn is taking over duties from Evelyn Warfel, who became the showrunner in 2019. Quinn also serves as the showrunner of Let’s Make a Deal and Press Your Luck, according to Deadline. He will continue to head those shows as well as TPIR.

“It’s the show we all watched during summer break and when we were home sick from school,” he told the outlet. “This show is a major reason why I work on game shows in the first place, so to be a part of it now is an honor that I do not take lightly.  I am beyond grateful and still pinching myself!”

“From the second I came on board I have felt at home, and that is a testament to the spectacular staff and crew who have been making this show a staple of American television for 53 years. What a delight!”

According to the outlet, Quinn will incorporate a series of theme weeks into The Price Is Right‘s new season. These themes include, but are not limited to, Breast Cancer Awareness, Valentine’s Day, Pet Adoption Week, Mother’s Day, and School’s Out. Pet Adoption Week has been a staple on the show for many seasons.

The Price Is Right' Fans Have Noticed Contestants Have One Thing in Common

A new pricing game is also set to make its debut this season, which hasn’t happened since 2021. Details on the game have not yet been revealed. Host Drew Carey will be back, as well as announcer George Gray, and the six models from last season.

“John brings a dynamic energy, remarkable creativity, and a collaborative spirit that elevates every production he touches,” Jennifer Mullin, CEO of Fremantle, said. “Combined with his rare ability to adapt with the times while honoring tradition, makes him the ideal choice to carry this iconic mainstay of television forward.”

“Makes sense. This is the bigger fish than LMAD. And he has lots of experience elsewhere in Fremantle’s game show roster. But imagine having to guess the price of the crazy prizes Press Your Luck offers!” a Reddit user said.

“Ahh.. uplifting news… it appears.. sounds like we have a winner!! 🥳,” said another.

“I’m excited to see the new game. I love the latest new games, to the penny and back to ’72, 73′, 74′ etc. I’d like them to announce the retirement of certain games I don’t like,” wrote a third.

“Let’s hope LMAD doesn’t bleed into the TPIR and we see more contestants wearing goofy hats and outfits hoping to get noticed,” one fan hoped.

‘The Voice’ Coach Kelsea Ballerini Shares Huge News.

Since announcing her gig as one of the new coaches next season, fans are counting down the days.

preview for “The Voice” Coaches: Past and Present

Season 26 of The Voice is still in the Battle Rounds, but we can’t help getting excited looking ahead at Season 27 — especially after one of the coaches made a major announcement on social media.

Country singer Kelsea Ballerini, yubi who will be stepping into the special red chair for the very first time as a coach on Season 27, shared an update about filming for next season in the caption under a gallery of photos she recently posted on Instagram.

She posted a variety of pictures of her latest travels, behind-the-scenes looks at her working on music, spending time with her boyfriend Chase Stokes, and recent red carpet outfits … but what got Voice fans’ attention was a clip of her already taping the next season.

In the clip, you can see Kelsea and returning coach Adam Levine in the background filming some sort of promo video behind her, with her teasing him when he accidentally messes up.

In the caption, Kelsea wrote, “Season 27 of The Voice is wrapped until we go to the lives in the spring and ooooweeee is it one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life I can’t wait for you to see it all.” Fans of course were ecstatic to get a sneak peak of the “Patterns” songwriter getting started behind-the-scenes of the NBC singing competition.

“Cannot wait to see you and Adam’s humor collide,” one person wrote in the comments. “I can’t wait to see you on The Voice when it premieres in March next year ❤️ I am excited for this new album…,” someone else said. “I’m sad bc I thought the current season of The Voice had you as a coach but now I have to wait an entire season just to see you 😢,” a different person commented. One individual chimed in, “YAY Kelsea I can’t wait to see you on The Voice!!!!!!!”

Kelsea has previously appeared on the show in smaller capacities, including serving as an advisor for Kelly Clarkson‘s team in Season 16 and even taking over for Kelly as coach of her team when the American Idol winner fell ill. However, this will be the first season where she’ll have her very own red chair and her own team.

In addition to Kelsea and Adam, season 27 will see John Legend return after taking a season off as well as Michael Bublé returning, who is currently a first-time coach in season 26 (and already very very loved by fans!). Although no premiere date has been announced, it’s confirmed that season 27 is slotted to debut sometime in spring 2025, and as always on Monday and Tuesday nights at 8 p.m. on NBC or the streaming app Peacock.

Michael Bublé & Snoop Dogg Just Shared Some Exciting Updates from The Voice Set

The Voice Season 28 Coaches are officially on the clock!

The boys are back in town!

Watch Season 28 of The Voice on Monday, September 22 at 8/7c on NBC and Peacock.

Filming for Season 28 of The Voice is officially underway, which means one thing: the epic bromance that started between Coaches Snoop Dogg and Michael Bublé in Season 26 is back and better than ever. In behind-the-scenes footage and photos shared to the stars’ Instagram Stories on July 8, fans got a sneak peek of the newest season, currently scheduled to premiere this fall on NBC.

Snoop’s glimpse into Season 28 was short and sweet, with the star panning his camera around to the cheering audience as he sits in his Coach chair. (We can’t wait to see what they’re applauding so passionately.)

Could that jean jacket be the eventual attire for the Artists who join Team Bublé throughout the season? Of course, that would mean Bublé would move away from the hockey sweater-inspired jerseys that marked his first two seasons on the show.

Michael Bublé on his musical inspirations

In Bublé’s 2011 book Onstage, Offstage, the two-time winning Coach of The Voice recalled a pivotal moment in his childhood that kickstarted his career in music.

In an article he penned for TODAY in November 2011, Bublé shared an excerpt from his book that shed light on the beginning of his musical journey.

“It all began when I was a little kid, when I learned my family’s address,” he wrote. “My father taught me to sing it, because he knew that by singing it, I’d remember it. I’ll never forget the little tune I composed to sing those four numbers and the name of the quiet street where I grew up in Burnaby, British Columbia. That little song was my first foray into music, and it came to me as naturally as shooting a hockey puck.”

As it turns out, Bublé’s grandfather played a significant role in educating him about some of the most influential artists in music.

“My maternal grandfather, Mitch Santaga, was responsible for introducing me to the old American standards, usually sung by Italian immigrants like my own family — crooners like Tony Bennett, Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin,” he wrote, adding, “Grandpa Mitch loved those old singers, and he taught me to love them, too.”

“The Voice” Hit with a Crushing Blow as Emmys Deliver Bad News. Fans are left to wonder if this is the beginning of the end for the iconic competition

‘The Voice’ Snubbed by Emmys for the First Time Since 2012

Premiering in 2011 on NBC, The Voice has drawn massive audiences ever since. Premiering in February 2025, season 27 brought coaches Kelsea Ballerini, Michael Bublé, John Legend, and Adam Levine to the big red chairs. Wrapping up in May 2025, Bublé took home his second straight coaching victory with winner Adam David. While ratings were apparently high enough to warrant a new season, the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences recently announced this year’s Emmy nominations. And for the first time in 13 years, The Voice isn’t on the list.

‘The Voice’ Has Won This Category Three Times

Since its second season premiered in 2012, The Voice has scored an Emmy nod in the Outstanding Reality Competition Program category every year since, taking home trophies in 2013, 2015, 2016 and 2017.

However, producers will miss out on an opportunity to add to their hardware this year. CBS’ Survivor takes The Voice’s place in the Outstanding Reality Competition category. Along with CBS counterpart The Amazing RaceSurvivor joins Peacock’s The Traitors, MTV’s RuPaul’s Drag Race, and Bravo’s Top Chef. All of last year’s nominees have another shot in 2025—except The Voice.

According to The Voice Views blog, the season 27 finale drew the lowest-ever ratings in the show’s 13-year history. The dismal numbers reflected a season-long struggle that saw The Voice go head-to-head with American Idol seven times.

Two-time defending champ Michael Bublé is the only season 28 returnee, with Kelsea Ballerini, John Legend, and Adam Levine all taking a step back. Veteran coaches Snoop Dogg, Niall Horan, and Reba McEntire will join the “Feeling Good” crooner in the big red chairs.

    Reba Is Ready

The “Queen of Country” has returned to her rightful throne. Reba McEntire took to social media last week to let The Voice viewers know she means business.

“Back in my other Happy Place. I’ve got my game face on and I’m ready to WIN,” the “Fancy” singer, 70, captioned a photo of herself perched atop her big red chair. “Just wait til y’all hear the incredible voices of Season 28!”

‘The Voice’ Fans Sound off on Shocking Coaching Twist, Bang the Table for Blake Shelton’s Return

Premiering on NBC in 2011, The Voice gained a following as some of the industry’s greats sought out and helped refine the next generation of musical talent. Since its second season premiered in 2012, The Voice has scored an Emmy nod in the Outstanding Reality Competition Program category every year since, taking home trophies in 2013, 2015, 2016 and 2017. That changed this year when CBS’ Survivor edged out the show on this year’s list of nominees. On the heels of that announcement, The Voice recently announced plans to shake things up for its 29th season—and fans have a lot to say.

“Kelly Is Back? Well Then So Am I”

For its 29th season, which premieres in spring 2026, The Voice has summoned a trio of fan favorites. Coaches Kelly Clarkson, Adam Levine, and John Legend will bring their collective nine wins back to their big red chairs for The Voice: Battle of Champions.

“Kelly is back? Well then so am I,” one viewer enthused on Instagram, summing up the sentiments of many on the same thread.

The iconic threesome will try their hands under a brand-new format as they each attempt to nab the most 3-Chair Turns, with the winner gaining a special advantage in the next round. Season 29 will also feature cameos from other show alumni, with OG coach Cee-Lo Green returning to judge a special In-Season All-Star Competition.

For some longtime viewers, however, the announcement was missing something. “Kelly’s back… now we just need Blake,” one Instagram user commented.

Another fan excitedly declared that the legendary trio “will elevate the show like fireworks.” Still, they couldn’t help but wish that Levine’s BFF, Blake Shelton, would join the gang.

“WOW this is my wish,” one viewer wrote. “Kelly and Adam, where is Blake? Need the trio in the same season.”

Other Fan Favorites Return For ‘The Voice’ Season 28

Judging from the summary of his past comments, Blake Shelton is unfortunately not likely to return to his big red chair anytime soon. However, season 28 of The Voice will bring out four familiar faces.

NBC announced it will simultaneously film the next two seasons, with Michael Bublé, Snoop Dogg, Niall Horan, and Reba McEntire all back for season 28.

The singer is looking to slow down from a busy work schedule ahead of the new season of the NBC show.

preview for “The Voice” Coaches: Past and Present

Kelsea Ballerini was a coach on The Voice season 27.
Fans learned Kelsea will not be returning for The Voice season 28.
The singer went on the Today show to explain her reason for leaving The Voice.

Kelsea Ballerini has made a name for herself as a prolific artist in the music industry. And as such, she got to use her talents in quite a unique way this year.

After first being announced as a coach for The Voice season 27 back in 2024, fans got to see her in the new role in early 2025. As she sat alongside Adam Levine, Michael Bublé and John Legend, folks got to see her exercise her knowledge of all things music with the competitors. And while she didn’t end up being the winning coach this season (that went to Michael, whose artist Adam David clinched the top spot for The Voice season 27), she still managed to make an impression on viewers watching over the course of the show.

But as fans wait to see what happens next season, they learned that Kelsea Ballerini is leaving The Voice season 28 in the fall of 2025. And while Michael will reunite with Niall Horan, Reba McEntire and Snoop Dogg as coaches for The Voice season 28, Kelsea has a pretty good reason for why she’s not coming back for the next installment of the NBC series.

why is kelsea ballerini leaving the voice 2025
    NBC

When Kelsea appeared on Today With Jenna and Friends for an interview on May 29, she made a surprising confession about The Voice. While she loved her time on the show, she was in need of a breather from all the work she’s been doing in between being on TV and wrapping up an arena concert tour.

“I need a break!” she told Jenna Bush Hager and guest host Justin Sylvester at the time. “I’ve never been able to say that before, but I really think it’s just time for me to pump the brakes, figure out what’s next, have a summer, what? Go to the beach? Huh? Learn to cook a new meal, hang out with the dogs. So that’s kind of my agenda.”

Now, this we can totally understand! After all, being a working singer and TV personality does come with a lot of responsibility. And while we don’t know what Kelsea’s future with The Voice will pan out to be, she did voice just how special her experience had been being on the show.

“One of the greatest honors of my career to a be a coach on season 27 of @nbcthevoice with these absolute gems of humans. 🤍,” she wrote on Instagram on May 21.

We’ll definitely miss seeing Kelsea on our TVs when The Voice season 28 premieres in the fall!

Just two months ago, The Voice crowned Adam David as its season 27 winner. This marked the second consecutive victory for coach Michael Bublé, who will walk into season 28 undefeated in his tenure. Veteran coaches Snoop Dogg, Niall Horan, and Reba McEntire are joining the “Home” crooner in the big red chairs. And although NBC has yet to close a premiere date for season 28, recent social media activity indicates that filming is underway.

Michael Bublé, Snoop Dogg Update Fans From ‘The Voice’ Set

Taking to his Instagram Stories on Tuesday (July 8), Snoop Dogg shared a short-but-sweet clip from his big red chair, panning his camera to the cheering audience.

Hours later, Michael Bublé shared a view of his own big red chair from the back as a Voice team member sports a denim jacket emblazoned with “Bublé 28” on the back.

“Here we go again,” the five-time Grammy Award winner captioned the slide as fellow The Voice star Reba McEntire’s song “Fancy” plays.

The “Gin and Juice” rapper, 53, returns to The Voice following a brief one-season hiatus, as does Reba McEntire. Two-time champ Niall Horan also makes a comeback after last appearing in season 24, which he won with artist Huntley.

Meanwhile, Bublé, 49, is seeking his third straight victory after winning his rookie season with Sofronio Vasquez. If successful, he will become the only coach besides OG Blake Shelton to achieve that milestone. The “Ol’ Red” singer was victorious in seasons 2, 3 and 4.

The Canadian jazz-pop crooner is the lone season 27 returnee, with Kelsea Ballerini, John Legend, and Adam Levine all taking a step back.

The Bromance Returns (No, Not That One)

Apparently, The Voice co-stars Michael Bublé and Snoop Dogg are looking to fill the “bromance” void left by Adam Levine and Blake Shelton. In a September 2024 interview with People magazine, the West Coast legend referred to the unlikely pairing as “brothers from another mother.”

We love the same things, we agree to disagree, and it’s just beautiful finding somebody like this so far in my career that has the same views in life and that I can mesh with and bond with on screen and off screen,” Snoop said.

Echoing Snoop’s sentiments, a tearful Bublé said, “I was so excited to meet you and you were better than I ever thought you could be. That’s the truth.”

‘Jeopardy!’ champ with 16-game streak addresses theory he deliberately lost final match

    Scott Riccardi, Jeopardy!

Scott Riccardi is addressing his “Jeopardy!” loss.Jeopardy!

Somerville, New Jersey, native Scott Riccardi had such an impressive run on “Jeopardy!” that some fans have conspiracy theories about his eventual loss.

Riccardi’s 16-day winning streak came to an end on Friday, July 25, when he lost to Baltimore’s Jonathan Hugendubler. He is now tied with Ryan Long for tenth place on the most consecutive “Jeopardy!” wins leaderboard.

Some viewers speculated that Riccardi deliberately guessed wrong during Friday’s Final Jeopardy. From the category 20th Century Names, the clue read: “According to one obituary, in 1935 he owned 13 magazines, eight radio stations, two movie companies and $56 million in real estate.”

The answer was William Randolph Hearst, who inspired the iconic 1941 film “Citizen Kane,” but Riccardi guessed aerospace engineer and film producer Howard Hughes. He took to Reddit over the weekend to provide some insight into his mistake.

“My mind unfortunately went straight to Howard Hughes mostly due to overestimating the importance of the movie companies part of the clue; any previous FJs that had come to mind immediately had worked out, so I trusted my initial response on this,” Riccardi commented on a “Jeopardy!” discussion thread.

“Truthfully, I was just especially unprepared to respond correctly to a clue about Hearst,” he continued. “Before I started my prep for the show in earnest, I had found that I was having a hard time properly retaining info on what I found to be a confusing amount of three-named Williams in publishing (William Randolph Hearst, William Lloyd Garrison, and William F. Buckley, to name a few), never circling back to that thought after I got the call to be on the show.”

Before Riccardi shared his explanation, some fans were convinced that he threw the match on purpose.

“I have a hard time believing that Riccardi didn’t know Final Jeopardy. Even I knew it, for heaven’s sake,” one viewer commented on TVInsider’s recap of the episode. “Maybe he just didn’t want to come back for the next season.”

“I think that he did it deliberately,” another person chimed in. “My thought is that he was happy with what he had accomplished and there was no need to wait through for another season. He had established his reputation, ability and eligibility and now someone else will have a chance.”

A third fan was even more convinced, writing, “He lost on purpose. There is no way you can convince me otherwise.”

‘Jeopardy!’ season ends with elimination of 16-game champ

Riccardi, an engineer from New Jersey, maintained a strong lead throughout Friday’s game.

By the time the Final Jeopardy clue rolled around, Riccardi had $23,600 — but the game wasn’t a runaway for the 16-game superchamp. Jonathan Hugendubler, an adjunct professor and trivia host from Baltimore, was in reach with $14,000 to keep the game more competitive, per “Jeopardy!” archives.

It all came down to the Final Jeopardy clue in the category 20th-century names: “According to one obituary, in 1935 he owned 13 magazines, 8 radio stations, 2 movie companies and $56 million in real estate.”

Both Hugendubler and contestant Charlotte Cooper came up with the correct response — “Who is Hearst?” (William Randolph Hearst.)

Hugendubler’s wager of $9,601 put his total at $23,601 — just $1 over Riccardi.

But the host Ken Jennings revealed Riccardi’s answer: Howard Hughes.

The incorrect response cost Riccardi $5,000, dropping him down to second place with $18,600, per The Jeopardy Fan website.

Riccardi’s 16-game winning streak, and the bold wagers he placed throughout his run, earns him two spots on the “Jeopardy!” Leaderboard of Legends. He ties with contestant Ryan Long for the 10th spot for most consecutive wins, and is No. 8 for all-time “Jeopardy!” winnings in regular season play with $455,000.

Now, Hugendubler is the newest “Jeopardy!” champ — but he’s going to have to wait a while to defend his title.

When does the new season of ‘Jeopardy!’ premiere?

“Jeopardy!” fans will have to wait six weeks for new episodes.

The show’s 42nd season premieres Sept. 8, per The Jeopardy Fan. In the meantime, viewers can catch reruns.

An exciting development for the show comes with the new season, which will begin with Hugendubler seeking his second win.

“Jeopardy!“ recently announced that the show, along with ”Wheel of Fortune,” will make episodes available for streaming the following day on Hulu and Peacock.

It’ll mark the first time the show is making episodes from its current season available for streaming, per Variety.

A major goal of the streaming deal is to expand the viewership and reach of “Jeopardy!”, which draws in roughly 7 million viewers each night, The New York Times reported.
