[VERY SAD] Voice Coach Kelsea Ballerini cut New York concert short due to sick.

Kelsea Ballerini forced to cut New York concert short due to illness

The ‘Cowboys Cry Too’ singer is currently in the middle of her ‘Kelsea Ballerini Live Tour’

Country star Kelsea Ballerini was forced to end her concert early after performing only a few songs.

The “Miss Me More” singer took to social media to explain to her fans that she had to abruptly stop her concert in Buffalo, New York, due to an illness.

“Buffalo, I am so, so sorry that I could not finish the show tonight,” Ballerini said on Instagram.

“I am sicker than I’m trying to be, and I did not want to let anyone down tonight, and I just got through the first few songs and I couldn’t do it. And I am so sorry, but I never want to give you a half-a– show.”

Ballerini, 31, sounded under the weather as she addressed her fans wearing a purple hooded sweatshirt.

“I am sicker than I’m trying to be, and I did not want to let anyone down tonight.”

The “Cowboys Cry Too” crooner announced that she had rescheduled her shows in Buffalo, Pittsburgh and Toronto.

“I will make them the best shows I’ve ever played in my whole life, and I will pull out every stop for you… I will make it so worth it.”

“I’m going to go rest now, and get better, so I can really show up for the rest of this tour… I hope you understand… thank you for the grace to be human and I love you,” she concluded.

The 5-time Grammy nominee’s video comes after a crew member stopped her New York performance to share the news with Ballerini’s fans.

“This is a conversation I did not want to have tonight,” the crew member announced.

“She just can’t finish, she is too sick, and we’ve given everything, we’ve tried to do it… we unfortunately cannot finish the show tonight.”

Before Ballerini ended her New York performance, she shared on her Instagam Story that she was “feeling better” from a previous illness.

“Got some good rest (Wow I forgot how much I love sleep) and the meds are doing their job and I can’t wait to perform for you tonight. My voice is a little raspy but we’re gonna lean in… no way I’m letting you down.”

The two-time CMA winner thanked a “sweet fan” on her social media who made her a pillow with Ballerini’s dog Dibs face on it, as she cozied up with her gift. Her dog passed away earlier this year.

“I can’t even tell you how much I needed this and what it means.”

Ballerini postponed several performances to future dates in April.

John Legend says he’s taking a break from social media: ‘It’s truly better for my mental health’

John Legend has had enough of social media’s collective smart mouth.

“I used to be on social media a lot more than I am now. I generally post more on Instagram and some on TikTok, but I kind of stopped posting on Twitter,” Legend told Yahoo Life, adding that X (formerly known as Twitter) has become “a little too toxic.”

“After a while, having that much transparency between you and your audience — not just coming from you, but also coming to you — all the incoming [discourse], it was just a lot. After a while, I was just like, ‘You know, I don’t need that.’ And it’s truly better for my mental health. I just found it better for my mental health to stay away.”

Although “The Voice” coach considers himself “pretty unflappable,” he takes steps to care for himself mentally and physically and applies the “everything in moderation” philosophy to most aspects of his life, including diet, exercise and alcohol. The EGOT winner also partnered with Pfizer to raise awareness about the COVID-19 vaccine ahead of the holidays.

John Legend gets real about rest: “I sing better when I sleep” | Fortune

Megyn Kelly said Chrissy Teigen looked ‘like she was literally going to the coronation’ at the White House Correspondents Dinner. John Legend disagrees.

“Some people feel like it’s controversial to talk about vaccines,” he told the outlet. “To me, it’s just intuitive. … I want to protect my family, and I want to encourage other people to do the same.

“There’s a lot of misinformation out there,” Legend continued. “I think a lot of people have a general kind of distrust of the authority, or mandates or the establishment, and I understand that. What I tried to rely on is, I talked to my doctor, not any random person on Facebook. I believe if you listen to the experts, the evidence and the recommendation of the medical community is very clear. And I’d rather listen to them than a random average Joe on the internet.”

Chrissy Teigen’s past has come back to haunt her as previous targets detail how she bullied them online. Here’s everything to know so far.

John Legend Says Limiting Social Media Is 'Truly Better for My Mental Health '

Legend’s break from social media follows wife Chrissy Teigen’s on-again, off-again relationship with social platforms. In 2021, after a roller-coaster relationship with Twitter, the model and cookbook author left the social media platform, where she’d long reigned as tweetress supreme, citing a toxic environment that had taken a toll on her mental health.

“For over 10 years, you guys have been my world,” Teigen tweeted shortly before deactivating her account in March 2021. “I honestly owe so much to this world we have created here. I truly consider so many of you my actual friends.

“But it’s time for me to say goodbye,” she added in a follow-up tweet. “This no longer serves me as positively as it serves me negatively, and I think that’s the right time to call something.”

She caved and returned three weeks later.

The longtime coach is taking next season off from the music competition series.

John Legend is preparing to take some time away from The Voice — but don’t assume he’ll be getting some down time. As the 45-year-old musician is preparing for the music competition’s semi-finals next week, he opens up to ET’s Cassie DiLaura about sitting out next season.

“We’ve always got so many things going on. I’ll be doing a lot of shows this summer and traveling overseas this summer,” Legend shares with ET. “I’ll be back… If only I were actually going to take a break!”

“It’s exciting to incorporate some new people into The Voice family. Having Snoop here, he’s been here as a mentor before, but having him as a coach, I think is going to be a lot of fun and reinvigorate the show a bit,” Legend shares. “We’ve been around for 25 seasons and part of how we continue to stay fresh is introducing new coaches to The Voice family, and I think Michael and Snoop will do really well. And I’m excited that Gwen and Reba will be back too because they’re both wonderful coaches.”

Other stars who might have some coaching potential are Legend’s two eldest kiddos — Luna Stephens and Miles Stephens — whom he shares with wife Chrissy Teigen.

Legend tells ET that while it was impressive that newcomer duo Dan + Shay had three contestants entering the semi-finals, “I really think every coach has an artist that I could see winning the show.”

As for whether he’s desperate for a Team Legend win, the EGOT winner says, “It would feel great. I’m just rooting for the artist to be their best selves, honestly.”

‘The Voice’ Fans Erupt in Anger Over His “Sad” On-Screen Move.

‘Voice’ Fans Are Left Furious with Niall Horan After His “Sad” Move

He’s just taking a little break to go on tour, but left all of us in good hands.

Voice fans are usually talking about singer Niall Horan on social media because of his hilarious banter with the other three judges John Legend, Gwen Stefani and Reba McEntire, as well as his cheeky personality, but this week, the discussion isn’t as positive as in the past.

“The Voice” Coaches: Past and Present

Fans became confused and upset when the official Instagram account for NBC’s The Voice shared a clip of Niall telling his remaining team of nine that he would be stepping away from filming of Season 24 for a while because of his hectic touring schedule. “I’ve got a bit of news for you. Because of my concert schedule, I actually won’t be in town for knockout rehearsals,” Niall tells his team over video chat in the clip. “Because I won’t be there, I’ve chosen another coach to mentor you guys during your rehearsals. And it’s not just one coach. It’s two.”

The 30-year-old went on to announce that pop duo Dan + Shay would be stepping in for him since he couldn’t be there. Although the twosome is hardly underqualified, social media had a lot of mixed reactions to the surprising news.

“What? Niall, why did you agree to do this season if you weren’t able to be here for all of it? Love you, but maybe it would have been better to have let someone else do it this time?”, one upset fan commented.”Saddest yet most exciting news I’ve ever heard?!?!? 🫶🫶🫶”, someone else wrote. “So Niall will not [be] on The Voice anymore?”, another disappointed fan said. A different person enthusiastically chimed in, “@danandshay are the absolute best! Let’s go! 🔥❤️.” Someone else, who was very upst, said, “Will @niallhoran be back for winning Night ? If not please advise cuz he’s the reason I’ve come back to the Voice ! Last minute bad news is not appreciated ! … Unprofessional to say the least !

With all the confusion, we’re here to tell Niall fans not to worry just yet! Although Niall will not be in most of the rehearsals for Knockouts, Dan + Shay are currently only considered “temporary” replacements for the time being since the One Direction alum will be back for the rest of Season 24. According to Soaps.com, he confirmed on his Instagram story on November 7 that he “only missed the knockout rehearsals, but returned to film the rest of knockout rounds themselves and the rest of The Voice Season 24 after his festival run.”

That said, Niall has confirmed that Season 24 will be his last due to his busy schedule, and Season 25 is when Dan + Shay will officially take over for the “Nice to Meet Ya” singer. They will be the first “duo coach pair.”

Reba McEntire, Emma Kenney, and Belissa Escobedo in 'Happy's Place' Season 1

    Spoiler Alert

    Casey Durkin / NBC

[Warning: The below contains MAJOR spoilers for Happy’s Place, Season 1 Episode 10, “The Macallister Girls.”]

Happy’s Place made way for the introduction of another member of Bobbie’s (Reba McEntire) family as her daughter Gracie (Emma Kenney) returned home for a visit.

A member of the military, Gracie had been stationed at a base in Qatar and made the long journey home to reunite with Bobbie, Abby (Melissa Peterman), and more, but not necessarily the new aunt she never saw coming, Isabella (Belissa Escobedo). Upon her arrival, Gracie is pressured to connect with Isabella who couldn’t be anymore different from her in personality, at least when Bobbie is putting the pressure on them.

Eager to try and make it work, the self-professed psychology expert Isabella finds an in with Gracie when they relate over having overbearing moms. While this revelation doesn’t please Bobbie, it brings Gracie and Isabella closer together and forces Bobbie and Gracie to confront the grief that tore their family apart.

As Gracie admits in the episode, her father’s death was one of the things that drove her away from home, and Bobbie finally gets some closure over that idea, allowing the mother and daughter to reconnect in a way they hadn’t in a long time. Overall, it’s a very touching and uniting episode filled with hope for the future. Below, Kenney opens up about Gracie’s introduction, hopes for her return, reveals what it was like following in the footsteps of her former Shameless castmate on the NBC comedy, and the experience of taking on a multi-camera comedy other than ABC‘s The Conners.

What was it like stepping onto the Happy’s Place stage though?

Emma Kenney: Stepping onto the Happy’s Place set at Universal was so welcoming. Everybody was so kind and wanted to make sure I was comfortable and felt I had everything I needed, and I was really lucky for that. I’m not used to going to a set as the newbie coming onto an already established cast. So I was a little nervous going into it, but as soon as I met everyone, my nerves were really made at ease.

Your Shameless costar Steve Howey already guest-starred this season. Did you get to connect before your arrival as Gracie?

Yeah, we did. I love Steve. We keep in touch frequently. He just told me how wonderful the cast was and how much fun he had on that set. He has known Reba for years and has always spoken so highly of her. So I definitely knew I was going into a safe space, but once I actually stepped foot there, I was like, “Okay, this is a really warm, good environment. I feel very comfortable and happy here.” No pun intended.

Would you like to reconnect with him on this show by guesting at the same time?

Of course. I mean, I love Steve. I love him on and off camera. He’s so much fun to work with and hang out with in general, especially on set. So yeah, that’d be a dream. I would love it.

Bobbie really wants her daughter to get along with Isabella, but the niece and aunt have a tough time connecting. What was it like finding common ground in Isabella and Gracie’s dynamic with Belissa Escobedo?

I definitely felt there was a big character growth in this one episode. When I read the script, I could see it, but I wanted to make sure it was received. Gracie starts at one note, her relationship with each character kind of evolves a bit, specifically with Reba and Belissa’s characters, and I wanted to make sure that you could see some heart in her and see the growth, which I had a really good time creating with Reba and Belissa.

Considering Gracie’s role as Bobbie’s daughter, did you approach the character with the idea that you might return down the line? Would you like to?

Yeah, definitely. We wanted to establish the energy between my character Gracie and everybody in Happy’s Place. So I wanted to make sure that was very much in the forefront of my mind and her toughness contrasts with her moments of vulnerability, which I feel makes her relatable and a multidimensional character.

Bobbie and Gracie address the hurdles between them by facing their shared grief over the loss of a husband and father. Would you like to explore that story more onscreen? Perhaps there’s room for a flashback episode to introduce their family patriarch?

That would be a great idea and would bring a lot of explanation to who Gracie is and who Bobbie is now as well. [That] scene I felt was so beautiful on camera with Reba and an emotional one. It was one of the first scenes I shot that week with her, and it was rewarding. And I felt starting with that scene gave me a stronger point of view on my character, especially after doing it with Reba versus just preparing it on paper with my acting coach.

You star in The Conners, how did your experience on this multi-camera comedy differ from that?

Yeah, I definitely understand the multi-camera world pretty well. But I learned a lot from each performer and how warm the environment was, and we do our live shows on different nights, which also I thought was interesting to see the difference doing a show on a Tuesday versus a Friday.

I’m Worried About Reba’s Happy’s Place Future After NBC’s Surprising Update For Its Breakout Comedy

Bobbie, Gracie, and Isabelle posing for a photo in Happy's Place season 1, episode 10

NBC’s latest update leaves me concerned about Happy’s Place. The Reba-led sitcom about a woman who learns of her half-sister’s existence after her father’s death is one of the network’s most popular shows. Happy’s Place debuted with over 10 million views and has consistently performed well despite its early Friday night time slot. It revolves around Bobbie’s (Reba McEntire) discovery that her father left half the tavern she is running to her half-sister, Isabella (Belissa Escobedo), as well as the interactions between the various quirky people who work at the tavern.

Happy’s Place‘s strong ratings were enough for NBC to extend its order for a full season. However, despite the high viewership numbers, Happy’s Place season 2 is not guaranteed, since the network has not yet renewed it. NBC recently announced good news for the fans for a different freshman sitcom, so its silence about Happy Place’s future is making me worried, especially knowing that just because a show is popular, it doesn’t mean it’s saved from cancelation.

St. Denis Medical Already Scores A Season 2 Renewal (But Not Happy’s Place)

StDenis Medical is the first show to score a renewal from NBC this season. The medical-themed mockumentary’s renewal makes sense, considering that 21 million people have watched it so far (via Variety). However, it is disappointing that NBC did not renew Happy’s Place at the same time, considering that it is pulling in similar numbers. It is difficult to understand why NBC would renew one but not the other if the network is making these early renewal decisions based on numbers. Of course, the fact that NBC hasn’t renewed Happy’s Place yet doesn’t necessarily mean they won’t.

It’s possible that the network decided to wait a few days between announcements so that both Happy’s Place and St. Denis Medical get the media attention they deserve for their renewals. Additionally, it is early in the season — St. Denis is the first scripted show NBC has renewed for the 2025-2026 season so far, and typically announcements are not made until April or May.

…it’s baffling why NBC would opt to renew St. Denis Medical first when Happy’s Place premiered earlier.

While there is still plenty of time before NBC has to make a final decision about Happy’s Place, there is still some cause for concern. I’ve covered renewal announcements for long enough to know that a popular show not scoring an early renewal when another one does could be a bad sign for its future. In relation to that, it’s baffling why NBC would opt to renew St. Denis Medical first when Happy’s Place premiered earlier.

What Are The Chances Of Happy’s Place Getting Renewed For Season 2?

Its Strong Ratings And Star Appeal Make The Chances Better Than Average

Melissa Peterman as Gabby and Reba McEntire as Bobbie hugging in Happy's Place

Based on the ratings, I’m still hopeful that Happy’s Place will be renewed eventually. I’m still disappointed that Blue Bloods was canceled despite strong ratings, but the two shows are not comparable. Blue Bloods was on a different network and had been on for fourteen years, while Happy’s Place is a new show. Furthermore, Happy’s Place is a comedy, and there are far fewer of those on television than there are dramas. Thus, NBC will likely want to keep any well-performing comedies, particularly newer ones, since they are usually cheaper to make.

Reba McEntire New TV Show Is Repeating Most Iconic Part Of Sitcom

The other thing that gives me hope is Reba McEntire’s star power. Her well-known name attracts audiences and thus, it’s likely a selling point. However, this also comes with higher pay for the talent. NBC needs to determine if Happy’s Place is profitable enough to be kept on the air. Ultimately, it’s still a business, and networks are looking to earn as much as they can.

Why NBC Needs Both St. Denis Medical & Happy’s Place

The Network Needs Two Strong Comedies To Be Competitive

Melissa Peterman as Gabby, Pablo Castelblanco as Steve, Tokala Black Elk as Takoda at the bar in Happy's Place

Actually, both St. Denis Medical and Happy’s Place are important to NBC’s lineup. These two are the network’s best-performing comedies, and while the network has other lighthearted fare such as Night Court, these two are currently the ones that most people are interested in. If NBC is going to be competitive with other networks in the comedy arena, it needs breakout sitcoms, especially in light of CBS’ winning lineup, which includes huge hits such as Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage and Ghosts.

Belissa Escobedo as Isabella, Reba McEntire as Bobbie looking shocked in Happy's Place

Additionally, Friday nights are notoriously difficult for scripted television. People tend to start their weekends by going out, which impacts viewership. Since Happy’s Place is doing well on Friday nights, NBC should hold onto it for as long as possible. For all these reasons, I’m hopeful that the show will be renewed, even though it’s concerning that it hasn’t happened yet.

Though there were initial talks of halting production of the NBC sitcom this week due to the fires which have destroyed at least 12,000 homes, the team came together to provide an “escape” to those who needed it.

According to an eyewitness who was present at the Happy’s Place filming on Tuesday night at the Universal Studios lot, those in front of, and behind, the cameras expressed they were “eternally grateful” for the support shown after such a horrific week in LA.

To add to the gratitude, Reba, 69, took a moment to personally address every audience member, as well as each cast and crew member, for attending the show.

Prior to the start of filming, the Fancy singer hopped up on a rafter and emotionally addressed the entire room.

“Thank you all for being here. Especially with this past week, you have no idea how much that means to all of us,” Reba said as tears began to swell up in her eyes.

As she tried to maintain her emotions, she continued: “This has been a horrific week and I’m so sorry from the bottom of my heart to any of you who were impacted by this tragedy we’ve experienced here in LA.

“Just know my hearts are with you and we’re very thankful you came here to escape for a little bit. We need this too.

“We discussed postponing filming this week but we wanted to put on a show for all of you and try to bring some joy during a really dark week.

“All of us are hurting but we will get through it together. Sending love to you all from the bottom of my heart and let’s use comedy to get through this together.”

A source close to the crew confirmed to The U.S. Sun that many people who work on the show were directly impacted by the fires – and “at least one” staffer tragically lost their home.

“The show and everyone here are rallying together to support the people suffering most and we are all taking care of our own.

“It’s a really sad time. They’re getting a lot of support from everyone though and we’ll help them get through this,” the insider said.

As unprecedented winds continue to spread throughout Southern California, many are still on a red flag warning to be alert for potential future fires.

While dozens of fires popped up this past week throughout Los Angeles County, the two largest remain actively burning – Altadena’s Eaton fire which is currently at 45% containment as of Wednesday and the Palisades fire in Pacific Palisades and Malibu – which sits at just 19% containment as of Wednesday.

If you or someone you know is in need of aid or looking to help, an expansive list of resources for humans and animals, as well as an information hub and community connector for LA fire victims, can be found on this guide put together by Mutual Aid Los Angeles Network.

Price is Right’s Drew Carey begs ‘we need to go to commercial’ as contestant’s personal confession leaves him stammering

DREW Carey has had trouble responding after a Price is Right contestant shared surprising details about herself on Wednesday.

After stammering his words, the 65-year-old host begged for the show to go to a commercial break.

When contestants first join Drew on The Price is Right stage, he normally learns a bit about them before the games begin.

But he was shocked by what a player named Carina told her when joined him on set.

After shaking Drew’s hand, the woman excitedly told him that her sister won on The Price is Right back in 1975.

“I was three years old,” she added.

Carina then revealed she’s the youngest of 16 kids, and all of this information left Drew stunned.

    “What?’” he rhetorically asked.”Man, ugh–“

“I, uh, think we need to go to commercial,” Drew begged, stumbling over his words and unsure of how to respond to Carina.

    FIGHTING FOR WORDS

He doubled over laughing before she quickly followed suit.

Eventually, Drew caught his breath and found his words.

‘Well, welcome to the show,” he told her, before explaining to the audience that 1975 was the first year of the game show.

“Wow, amazing,” he added as he continued to think about how the contestant’s sister was on the program’s first season.

    TOP PRIZE

Just the day before, it was the contestant who had an over-the-top reaction on the show.

It’s a long story. We don’t have time to get into it.

When a contestant named Amylah came down to the stage to try her hand at some Price is Right games, she kicked things off by saying hi to the host, whom she called “Uncle Drew.”

That got a smile out of the longtime host before he joined in on the joke and told fans, “It’s a long story. We don’t have time to get into it.”

Continuing on with the fun, he asked the show’s announcer to reveal what prize his “niece” was competing for.

“Cousin George [Gray] wants you to have a brand new car!” the announcer teased back.

Upon hearing about this huge prize, Amylah kept leaning back, as if she were about to fall.

The camera then cut to show off the car she was trying to win.

When it cut back to the contestant, she had, in fact, fallen to the ground and was rolling around in excitement.

While she didn’t go on to win the top prize, she still took home a massage chair.

Jack Shannon was picked on the April 29 episode.

After putting in his bid on a DSLR camera, he guessed the closest amount and was picked for the next showcase.

Before beginning the round, Drew, 65, greeted Jack and told viewers that he was there with his father.

“Jack and his father making a living, it’s a family business where they make labels for like wine bottles, beer, paint can, anything you want,” Drew said.

“What’s the weirdest thing you’ve had to make a label for?”

Jack thought about it and came up with octagon bottles.

“Oh wow. What an exciting life Jack leads,” Drew joked, stepping closer to the camera.

Jack laughed nervously and Drew joined in on his laughter.

“Still talking about those octagon bottles,” the host laughed.

They then moved on to the prizes he could get if he won the game.

    DREW’S ENCOUNTER

Jack’s dad, Richard, posted a photo of them waiting to see if they got picked on Reddit.

He told the platform users that Drew came over and shook both of their hands.

Richard said that Drew remembered about his business since his wife had won the day before.

Drew then turned to Jack and asked if he worked for his dad and about going to college.

He didn’t think they would get chosen, but he was wrong.

    ‘NOT FUNNY!’

While most fans expressed their excitement and congratulated Jack for getting on the show, others pointed out that Drew comment was not funny.

“Didn’t like Drew asking what the strangest thing labeled and then laughing at him saying ‘still talking about those octagon bottles,’” one fan said.

“He asked & then laughs & pokes fun about an exciting life. Not nice and not funny!”

“He’s a young guy following his father’s business. Still rude & not funny,” another fan agreed.

“I didn’t like that either. I happened to be just tuning into the show right at that moment, so I did not hear the context. But it was not nice for Drew to poke fun at the young man like that. A joke at a contestant’s expense is never okay,” a third chimed in.

However, other fans defended Drew by saying that he was poking fun at his job and not him.

Drew Carey Opens Up About His Struggles as a Teen, Says His 2 ‘Suicide Attempts Were Calls for Help’

The ‘Price Is Right’ host reflected on his mental health hardships from his teenage years and early 20s, saying, “I was so mad that everybody was having a good time”

Drew Carey is looking back on the lowest points in his mental health journey.

The Price is Right host opened up about his childhood during an appearance on this week’s Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace?. During his conversation with host Chris Wallace, Carey, 65, addressed his mental health struggles as a teenager, including just how dire things became for him.

“Two suicide attempts,” he said of the incidents, which occurred when he was 18 and in his early 20s. “I think that suicide attempts were calls for help. I was so mad that everybody was having a good time, and I was just tired of my life and who’s gonna miss me? I have a lot of that still. Like who’s gonna miss me type of thing.”

The comedian continued, “I think when, yeah, like, a lot of times I think to myself. Like, if I die, I’m just gonna have my body cremated. No funeral and anything associated with, like, all my mementos and stuff. You can just burn them and give them away. Like, who cares?”

Carey has spoken about his mental health struggles before, even once telling Access Hollywood he “was depressed for a long time.” But things eventually took a positive turn for the comedian.

“I learned how to believe in myself. Learned how to set goals, you know, self help books man. I just read every single one I can get a hold of and I still do. I read that stuff all the time still,” he continued to tell the outlet in 2007, per Today. “I am always coming out bigger, better, stronger and happier.”

Giving an update on how things are going today, Carey told Wallace, 76, that he doesn’t believe success has “spoiled” him.

“I’d like to say no. But it’s changed a lot of things for me,” he said. “Like, don’t take things personally. I took everything personally, if somebody wrote a bad review, I’d be like, what the hell? Coming after my money? You know, so yeah, that’s — all that’s gone.”
